Everything Air Melinda was saying made zero sense.
The police officers were just standing there, jotting down notes while everything was being recorded.
They didn't interrupt her or call her out on anything, but you could tell from the looks on their faces, none of it added up.
Still, they had a job to do, and from there, they headed straight to Nathaniel's workplace.
There was another team of agents waiting.
They talked to his boss first, gave him the rundown, that Nathaniel was being invest.
investigated in connection with a murder. The boss, to his credit, was totally cooperative.
He didn't argue or try to protect Nathaniel. Instead, he offered up whatever information they
needed and pointed them in Daniel's direction. They pulled Daniel aside into a separate room.
The agents were calm but direct. They explained the situation, said they needed his help,
and asked him to hand over his phone. Daniel flat out refused. He said, he had he had his help. He
He was adamant.
Said it was private, his personal property, and they had no right to it.
The agents warned him they'd be getting a search warrant anyway and that they would see
everything eventually.
They encouraged him to just be honest, to cooperate now, to save himself some trouble.
But Daniel stayed silent, claimed he didn't know anything.
The interrogation didn't go anywhere.
Eventually, the police got the warrant.
They unlocked his phone, and what they found.
made everything worse. This wasn't just a case of jealousy. There was something much darker going on
underneath. As soon as they had full access to Daniel's phone, they uncovered a series of
messages, the kind that sent chills down your spine. For about a year and a half, Nathaniel had been
receiving anonymous threats. They were from people he didn't know. It started on April 18,
2022. A mysterious Facebook message from a blank account popped up. No photo, no details.
Just a brand new account claiming to be part of a group of professional hackers. According to them,
they tracked dangerous criminals and passed info to the authorities. And apparently,
they had uncovered a hit on Nathaniel. A Mexican cartel was out for him. They knew his license
plate number, the make and model of his car, his address, who he lived with. To prove they weren't
bluffing, they sent real-time photos of him. They told him what he was wearing that day, the next day.
They named his girlfriend. They even mentioned which side of the bed she slept on. At first,
the messages were just warnings. But soon, the tone shifted. The hackers went from concerned
protectors to aggressive manipulators, seemingly aligning themselves with the cartel.
Nathaniel was terrified. But instead of going to the police or confiding in his girlfriend
Ermalinda, he kept it all to himself. The messages exposed too much about his affairs, names,
addresses, jobs of women he'd been involved with. If Air Melinda saw those, she'd know everything.
Then came September 22.
Nathaniel switched jobs. By October, he was involved with Sorida. That's when things escalated.
The threats got more specific. They threatened to kill Zoraida, her kids, her partner. They warned
Nathaniel to leave her or face the consequences. They even told him, in graphic detail,
how everything would end if he didn't comply. Strangely, the hackers started pushing Nathaniel to go back,
Ermelinda. They told him to ditch his affairs, to stop playing games. They gave him bizarre advice
on how to treat Ermalinda better. They coached him on what to say, how to say it, how to prove his
love. But Nathaniel ignored them and kept seeing Zorida. That's when Zorida herself began receiving
threats. Anonymous messages flooded her inbox. They said they'd kill her, her kids, her partner.
that they'd expose everything to her husband, Alberto.
Zorida, terrified, turned to Daniel.
She showed him the messages, the accounts, everything.
But the worst part of this twisted story hadn't even happened yet.
When it became clear the relationship between Nathaniel and Zorida wasn't ending,
the hackers made a move.
They went straight to Alberto.
On June 27, 2023, he received a message,
I don't think she believes my warnings.
For your family's safety, she needs to be honest with you.
Nathaniel has rifles and pistols.
The mother of your children is putting them at risk, and she knows it.
Then another message in August, Alberto, this is the last time I say this.
That stupid woman is the reason you won't have a family.
They told Alberto that Nathaniel was unstable, armed, tied to criminals.
That he was dangerous.
At this point, the situation was completely out of control.
Now, here's the kicker, Air Melinda still claimed she didn't know anything.
At least, not until she, too, started getting messages.
One day, she went up to Daniel and showed him threats on her phone.
Someone said they were watching her, watching Nathaniel.
They said something terrible was going to happen.
Nathaniel, rattled, finally told Air Melinda that he had been receiving
threats too. But he didn't tell her everything. He downplayed it, called it a dumb joke.
Didn't go into detail. Didn't show her the messages. Then came May 23. Everything flipped.
The hackers claimed Zorida wasn't a victim. She was part of the cartel.
Nathaniel was the target. They told him Zorida was playing him, that she was going to kill him,
and if he didn't kill her first, everyone he loved would die.
Eremelinda, the kids, even Nathaniel himself.
They laid it all out.
They even gave him a date, September 17, 2023.
The message was clear.
Either he acted first, or Zorida would wipe them all out.
Nathaniel bought into it.
He agreed.
From there, the hackers sent a full plan.
A chillingly detailed doctor,
document outlining every step. Go at night. Enter through the back door. Kill the dogs first.
Then the family. Flip the house, steal the phones. Burn your clothes and the phones. Then go home and
sleep with your wife. It will calm the nerves. So, on September 16th, Nathaniel went to work.
He acted normal, chatted with co-workers, smiled.
But when Zorida came near, he didn't speak, didn't even look at her.
The change in behavior was obvious.
People noticed.
After his shift, he went home.
Time passed.
Night fell.
Right before he left, he told Ermalinda everything.
He told her about the threats, about the plan.
showed her the document.
And Air Melinda.
She supported him.
Completely.
She volunteered to drive.
Said she'd help.
And he agreed.
They got in a black car and drove to Zorida's house.
Parked nearby.
Surveillance cameras caught it all.
A dark vehicle lurking close by.
At 3 a.m., Nathaniel went in.
He shot the dogs.
Then Alberto Sorida.
The kids.
He trashed the house.
But in the panic, he forgot to take the phones.
Then he ran, jumped back into the car with Ermelinda, and fled.
And here's the real twist.
There were no hackers.
No cartel.
Nothing.
It was all Ermalinda.
She had created the fake accounts.
orchestrated the entire manipulation.
She was tired of Nathaniel cheating, lying, disrespecting her.
She wanted him all to herself, and when he started up with Sorida, that was the final straw.
She spun a web of lies so convincing that Nathaniel believed it all.
She played puppet master, gaslit everyone involved, Zorida, Alberto, Nathaniel himself.
When she couldn't break the affair apart, she decided the only option.
was death. After the murders, the two of them knew it was only a matter of time before they were
caught. Nathaniel figured he was guilty of murder. Ermelinda. She thought she was just an accomplice.
They told her kids goodbye, said they were going to find a lawyer, that they were going to jail but
would try to escape for now. They hit the road. Nathaniel admitted some of it to his mom.
Half the truth, maybe less.
Said goodbye, said he had to disappear.
They made it to Oklahoma.
But on September 20th, police found them.
Their license plate had shown up on traffic cams.
A pursuit followed.
Lasted about 15 minutes.
Nathaniel sped through traffic, weaving between cars, until he lost control and crashed into a center barrier.
The vehicle was a wreck.
Officers surrounded the car, weapons drawn.
Inside, they could see movement.
The couple was alive, talking.
Then, suddenly, three gunshots.
Nathaniel had shot Air Melinda, then shot himself.
Twice.
And just like that, the case was over.
No trial.
No confessions.
No justice.
We don't know if Air Melinda ever.
admitted what she'd done. If Nathaniel realized he'd been manipulated. If he regretted everything.
None of that is clear. So now the question falls to you, what do you think happened?
What do you believe about this twisted, tragic story? The end.
