You know, I don't even know where to see.
start because this whole thing feels like some twisted movie plot, but it's real. It's my family.
And it's messed up beyond belief. So let me just spill it all because if I keep holding it in,
I might lose my mind. Back in 2017, we lost my grandma to cancer. It still feels fresh sometimes,
like I can still hear her voice on the phone or see her sitting in her chair, wrapped up in her
favorite quilt. She was this incredible woman with so much love in her, but her life didn't end the
way she deserved. She had three kids of her own, my dad, my aunt Marie, and then the youngest,
Katie. On top of that, her husband, Alan, my grandpa, had four kids from a previous marriage.
But honestly, it never felt like we were a split family. Grandpa Alan treated every single one of us
like his own flesh and blood. It didn't matter whose DNA we carried, he loved us like we were his
kids and grandkids. When grandma got sick, everything kind of started to unravel. My dad and Marie
lived far from her house, and they couldn't just drop everything to stay by her side. Katie, though,
lived close by. Naturally, she became the one taking care of grandma, or at least, that's what everyone
thought. Turns out, Katie wasn't really care of.
for her mom the way she should have. There were signs she was neglecting her, and that truth hit
hard when Grandma passed. Before she died, Grandma said something that has been haunting all of us
ever since. She said, now Katie can get whatever she wants from Alan. At the time, it felt
cryptic, but looking back, it was a warning. A warning we didn't understand until it was too late.
After Grandma's funeral, Alan seemed lost. He was still
Grandpa, but there was this emptiness in his eyes. That's when Katie swooped in. At first,
it seemed like she was just trying to be there for him, helping him get through the grief.
But it didn't take long for things to get weird. Alan ended up moving in with Katie.
And from there, everything started spiraling. She started monitoring his phone calls, like she was
screening who he could and couldn't talk to. Then she started telling everyone in the family that
Grandpa didn't want to talk to us, that he needed space. We believed her at first. I mean,
he was grieving. Maybe he needed time to himself. But then came the diagnoses.
Grandpa Allen was hit hard. First, Alzheimer's. Then they found out he had leukemia, lymphoma,
bladder cancer, and prostate cancer. And it all stemmed from his service in the Marines at Camp Lejeune,
where he was exposed to contaminated water.
It felt like one cruel blow after another.
You'd think this would bring the family closer, right?
That everyone would rally around him.
But no.
Katie had completely cut him off from us.
His own kids weren't even allowed to visit him.
If they tried to call, she'd tell them he was too tired or didn't want visitors.
And when his son finally got fed up and showed up unannounced, she let him in,
but every visit was supervised.
Like he was some stranger who needed babysitting while visiting his own dad.
Then came last week.
Grandpa was on hospice care at Katie's house, and what does she do?
She brings her grandkids over.
And they had COVID.
Freaking COVID.
He was immune compromised and fighting for his life, and she brings the virus straight into his house.
When someone in the family confronted her about it, she didn't be.
even deny it. She just brushed it off like it was no big deal. Now Grandpa Allen's dying. He got
COVID and started declining fast. But here's the kicker, Katie didn't even bother to tell his kids.
His own son called to check on him, and she was like, oh, he's just sleeping. He's fine. Turns out,
he hadn't woken up for two days. And then the bomb dropped. While he was sick, possibly not
not even in the right state of mind,
Grandpa signed over all his assets to Katie.
Everything.
She owns it all now.
Here's the thing, none of us, my parents, Aunt Marie, my cousins,
care about the money or the property.
Not one of us wants a single dime from what Grandpa and Grandma had.
But what Katie did.
It's wrong.
It's evil.
Six years of isolating him, controlling him, taking advantage of him,
and now this.
She's getting away with everything.
Elder abuse, financial exploitation,
and exposing him to COVID, which killed him.
I can't stop thinking about it.
Is this even legal?

The stepdaughter just swoop in, cut off a man's children and take everything he owns.
Isn't knowingly exposing an immune compromised person to COVID basically murder?
Because that's what it feels like.
It's eating me alive.
Grandpa didn't deserve this.
He deserved to spend his final years surrounded by people who loved him, not locked away in some twisted little prison Katie created.
Two days ago, Grandpa passed away.
And Katie didn't even bother to call his kids.
They had to find out from someone else.
Now they're devastated and angry, and they don't know what to do.
They're asking me if there's anything they can do to fight back.
Is there? Or is Katie just going to walk away from this with everything? I feel like my,
aunt murdered my grandpa. And nobody's doing anything about it. We're all so heartbroken,
but also furious. She manipulated him when he was vulnerable, and now she's got her hands
on everything. How is this even allowed? I keep replaying the past six years in my head,
wondering if there was something we could have done. But every time we tried to reach
out, Katie was there, shutting us down. She had total control over his life. And now, even in
death, she has total control over his legacy. Update, Grandpa passed away two days ago.
Thank you to everyone who's given advice and support. I don't know what's going to happen next,
but I just can't let this go. The end.
