The story of Nicoli.
So, let's begin.
Nicoli Fernanda Podgeri was just 15 years old, a teenager from Brazil with her whole life ahead of her.
She wasn't famous, she wasn't a rebel, she wasn't living some dramatic soap opera kind of life.
In fact, her story starts in the most ordinary way possible, she was just a girl with dreams,
family, friends, and a daily routine that looked a lot like the ones you and I once had when
we were her age. By 2025, Nicoli was living in Makoka, a city in Sao Paulo, together with her
mom, Priscilla McGreen, and her stepdad, Felipe Espagna. Life, from the outside, looked like
it was going really well. Not glamorous, not dramatic, just normal, and in many ways, that made it
beautiful. Her days were simple, wake up early, go to school, work hard, and come home to spend her
free time doing what she loved most, drawing, watching anime, and scrolling endlessly through
social media like any teen would. She wasn't one of those kids constantly in trouble or
sneaking out at night. She was punctual, respectful, polite, and she managed to keep good grades
while still having time for her passions. People who knew her couldn't say a bad word about her.
They all described her the same way, sweet, kind, with delicate manners, a girl who
laughed often and dreamed big. Teachers praised her for being disciplined. Friends admired her
creativity and kindness. Her mom saw her as her little angel. And Nicoli really did have big
dreams. Unlike most teens who say they want to be influencers, singers, or football stars,
Nicoli's dream was different. She wanted to be a pilot. She wanted to fly planes, to soar through
the sky. And she wasn't just saying it for attention, she was serious about it. She worked hard,
studied consistently, and always kept her eyes on that goal. Her mother, Priscilla, couldn't
have been prouder. Nikoli was never a problem child. She didn't fight, didn't break rules,
didn't sneak around. She and her mom had the kind of relationship most parents wish they could
have with their teenagers. They weren't just mother and daughter, they were best friends.
They did everything together, shopping, talking about crushes, watching shows, even gossiping
about school. Nikoli told her mom everything, what time she was going out, with whom,
what they'd be doing, and when she'd be back. She asked her mom for advice on everything,
even on the silliest little details, like what outfit to wear or which picture to post.
Priscilla knew the names of all of her daughter's friends.
She knew who Nicoli liked, which classes she had,
what shows she was into, and what time her classes ended.
The communication between them was open and constant, something rare these days.
Nicoli's life was so stable that the only time her routine really changed was during school vacations.
That's when she would go visit her grandfather in Hortalandia.
This trip was always the highlight of her breaks.
Now, here's an important detail, Nicoli didn't actually grow up in Makoka.
She had spent several years of her childhood in Hortlandia, where she went to school and made close friends.
Later, when she moved with her mom to Makoka, she stayed in touch with those people.
Among those friends was a boy named Enrique.
He was two years older than her.
When Nicoli moved, they kept in contact through social media and messaging.
apps. Their friendship carried on despite the distance. And Nicoli, being the open book
she was with her mom, told Priscilla everything about Enrique. Over time, those friendly
chats grew into something more. Nicoli started liking Enrique, and eventually, earlier in
2025, Enrique asked her to be his girlfriend. This was a huge deal for Nicoli. She was just 15,
he was 17, and it was her first love, the kind of sweet, intense, innocent romance that feels like
the most important thing in the world when you're a teenager. She was head over heels for him.
As for Enrique, well, that's where things get a little more complicated. We don't know a ton about
him. What we do know comes mostly from people around him. According to his cousin, Enrique was the
quiet type. He wasn't super open, didn't share much, kept a lot to himself. At the same time,
he had a bit of a reputation for being the kind of guy who always had a girlfriend. You know the type,
dating someone one week, breaking up, then moving on to someone new not long after. Nothing too
unusual for a teenage boy, right? But one girl's name kept popping up again and again in Enrique's
love life, Evely.
Evely was also 15, and from what people say, her relationship with Enrique was, let's just say
complicated.
They had been on and off for a long time.
Together, then broken up, then back together again, repeating the cycle.
And when they were together, they made sure the world knew it.
Photos together, sweet captions, hearts everywhere on social media.
Then suddenly, boom, they'd split again.
But this wasn't just your typical teenage drama.
People who knew them claimed that their relationship was stormy, even toxic at times.
There were reports of huge fights, screaming matches, even threats.
Evely was said to be jealous and controlling.
Some stories online even suggest that once, during a fight, she threatened Enrique with a knife.
Now, I have to stress, those claims were never confirmed by police.
Their rumors, whispers on forums, and gossip from people who may or may not have been close to the situation.
So take them with a grain of salt.
But one thing is clear, Enrique and Evely's relationship was volatile, passionate, and often messy.
Despite all that drama, their cycle continued, breaking up, dating other people, then getting back together.
Many believe they dated others simply to make each other jealous.
She'd leave him, post pictures with another guy, then run back.
He'd do the same. It was a game, a tug-of-war.
But eventually, in 2025, it seemed the cycle had finally ended.
Evely met a new guy who apparently treated her differently, gave her peace.
She settled down with him.
Enrique, meanwhile, moved on, this time.
with Nikoli. Unlike his relationship with Evely, what he had with Nikoli looked sweet and
genuine. At least from the outside, it was pure, innocent, and free from the drama of his
past. Sure, it was long distance. Nicoli was in Makoka, Enrique in Hortalandia, but that didn't
matter. They messaged constantly, video called, and counted down the days until vacations,
when Nicoli could finally visit her grandfather and see Enrique in person.
And then, Summer arrived.
Nicoli, as usual, planned her trip to her grandfather's house.
For her, this wasn't just about family, it was also a chance to spend real time with her boyfriend.
On Sunday, June 29, 2025, she made the trip.
Alone.
From Makoka to Hortalandi,
most likely using public transportation.
She arrived safely and stayed with her grandfather, just like always.
For days, everything seemed perfect.
Then came Thursday, July 10th.
That afternoon, Nicoli had plans.
She was going to meet Enrique.
And just like always, she told her mom.
She opened WhatsApp, snapped a picture of herself, and sent it to Priscilla.
In the photo, Nikoli was smiling, radiant, clearly excited.
With the kind of energy only a teenager about to see her crush could have.
She asked her mom, mom, do I look pretty?
That was the last photo Priscilla ever got from her daughter.
The last time she saw Nikoli's smile.
From here, the story splits into two versions.
The first one is the official version.
According to it, Nicoli and Enrique met up that day.
They talked, spent time together, and everything seemed fine.
Nothing out of the ordinary.
But then...
To be continued.
