Okay, look. I know the title alone makes me sound like an absolute psycho, but just hear me out, all right. You're probably sitting there like, why the hell would you ever fight your own sister? That's messed up. And trust me, I thought the same thing too, at first. But sometimes life pushes you into these situations where you got to do something drastic. And when it came to my older sister Melissa, well, let's just say she wasn't exactly the easiest person.
to live with. Actually scratch that, she was a nightmare. Melissa was 17 back then, and I swear she was the
type of girl who thought the entire world revolved around her. She had this attitude like nobody
could tell her S-H- asterisk T. You know those teenagers who act like they're grown, but they're still
living off their parents, making everyone else miserable in the process. Yeah. That was her.
Let me paint you a picture real quick. She was loud.
as hell for absolutely no reason. I mean it. I'd be in my room trying to chill, maybe play some
Xbox or watch YouTube, and out of nowhere, I'd hear her screaming her lungs out at our mom about
God knows what. You don't understand me. I'm an adult now. Leave me alone. It was like living
with an angry hyena that had just discovered Wi-Fi. And don't even get me started on the time I
walked in on her and her boyfriend. Yeah, her 20-year-old
old boyfriend. The guy was basically a grown man, and I'm still traumatized from what I saw.
I was like 14 at the time, and I swear for a split second I wanted to gouge my own eyes out with a
spoon. To this day, I can't unsee it. Thanks for that, Melissa. Anyway, I'd been putting up with her
antics for years. Years. And I was done. I mean, I was that good kid. I kept my grades up.
did my chores, didn't cause problems. And Melissa? Oh, she was on a whole different level of reckless.
My mom finally started to notice too. One night, she sat me down in the kitchen like we were about to have
some big family intervention or something. She was like, we need to do something about your sister's
behavior. And listen, I've never been so excited in my life. Finally, someone was acknowledging what a
complete and utter terror Melissa was. For years I'd been suffering in silence, trying to hold it
together while this loud, selfish, chaotic ball of energy tore through our lives like a tornado.
And now, it was payback time. My mom and I brainstormed for a while about what we could do.
At first I said, why don't we just hire someone to fight her? Like a professional. I mean, she needed to be
humbled, and I wasn't about to risk getting my ass kicked. But then my mom, being the evil
genius she is, suggested something that I'll never forget. You should be the one to fight her.
At first I laughed. Like, no way in hell was I about to throw hands with my own sister.
I might have hated her sometimes, but I also loved her deep down. You don't just beat up your
sibling, right? But my mom kept pushing. She said something about how it would make Melissa
realize how her behavior was affecting her only brother and blah, blah, blah.
Honestly, her reasoning didn't make sense, but she sweetened the deal.
She offered me $20. Yeah, $20. I know it doesn't sound like much now, but back then.
That was money I could use for snacks, games, whatever. And besides, the thought of finally
putting Melissa in her place. Priceless. So I agreed.
But let me tell you about Melissa before you start judging me too hard.
She wasn't just annoying, she was straight up dangerous.
This girl once posted on Instagram throwing up gang signs and claiming to be a blood.
We lived in the suburbs.
The closest thing to a hood she'd ever seen was probably the hoodie section at Target.
She also got into drugs.
Heavy S-H-a-T, weed, pills, heroin, name it, she probably tried to.
it. One time I found a bong in the laundry room. The laundry room. Who does that? She caught me holding
it and literally paid me $40 not to tell mom. $40. I took the money, of course, but I still told
mom later because screw her. And let's not forget, Melissa was the reason dad left. He dipped out
one night after she threatened to kill him during one of her drugged-up rants. He just packed his
stuff and bounced. Never even said goodbye. Honestly, I don't blame him. There's so much rugby on

this coming. The day it happened, I had it all planned out. After school, I offered to give her a ride
home. She was in a decent mood for once, probably because she'd gotten high earlier.
We were driving, and I told her I needed to make a quick stop. I pulled her. I pulled her. I
into this empty parking lot, it was one of those places nobody ever goes to around 4 p.m. She looked
around and said, uh, what are we doing here? I turned to her and said, Melissa, I love you, but
you've made my life hell. And today, we're fixing that. Her face went pale. And then I swung first.
I know, I know, it sounds bad. But in that moment, all those years of her screaming, stealing, lying,
and making everyone miserable came rushing out of me like a tidal wave.
I wasn't trying to kill her or anything.
I just wanted her to feel even a fraction of the chaos she'd caused.
The fight didn't last long.
She wasn't expecting it, and I had adrenaline on my side.
When it was over, she was sitting on the pavement, her face bruised, holding her hand like it was broken.
I didn't even feel bad.
Not yet, anyway.
We didn't talk on the ride home.
She just sat there quietly, and for the first time in years, the house was peaceful that night.
Fast forward to now, where both adults, and Melissa hasn't changed much.
She still hates me for what happened that day.
If anything, she's worse.

I don't regret it
Not even a little bit
because sometimes family doesn't get better until you beat their ass in an empty parking lot.
The end.
