The Disappearance of Lupida Rojas, a tragic tale from Durango
The party should have been nothing more than a happy Sunday family gathering, music, laughter, food on the table, and kids running around while adults reminisced about old times.
For Lupida, it was a rare chance to enjoy herself, surrounded by cousins, uncles, aunts, and her beloved children.
But as so often happened in her relationship with Unhell, the joy didn't last long.
Angel's mood shifted in the blink of an eye.
He claimed that another man at the party couldn't stop staring at Lupida, as if her very presence was provoking him.
His jealousy burned hotter with every passing minute.
Lupita tried to brush it off, tried to reassure him that nothing was going on, but reason didn't matter to him when anger had already taken control.
Furious, he stormed out of the house in front of everyone, slamming the door so hard the music
almost seemed to cut out for a moment.
Most people at the party expected Lupida to chase after him, but she didn't.
She was tired of his tantrums, his possessiveness, the way he always ruined perfectly good moments.
Instead, she stayed.
He'll cool off, she told herself.
She wasn't going to let him destroy her cousin's birthday.
She continued laughing, chatting, and enjoying herself, determined to steal at least a few hours of happiness.
But happiness was fleeting. When she least expected it, Unhell came back. His face was set in anger, his body tense.
Lupita tried to reason with him, asked if they could stay just a little longer, but he wasn't listening.
He insisted they leave immediately. Before anyone could intervene, he grabbed her and
and the kids and dragged them out of the party.
Everything happened so fast that Lupita didn't even realize she had left her jacket and her purse behind.
Just a few blocks away from the party, Angel's fury boiled over.
In the Darken Street, in full view of their two children, he began to beat her.
Blow after blow fell on Lupita's body as her son screamed and cried, begging him to stop.
The sound of their desperate voices carried through the neighborhood.
One passerby, horrified by what they were witnessing, pulled out their phone and called
the police.
The call for help startled on hell.
Realizing he might get caught, he fled the scene, leaving Lupita battered and her children
in tears.
The Good Samaritan who had phoned the police quickly rushed to help her.
They gathered Lupida and the boys, taking them safely back to her home.
For a brief moment, it seemed like the nightmare had been interrupted.
But the nightmare wasn't over.
The morning after.
The next morning, Monday, October 24, 2022, the two boys woke up expecting to start another normal school day.
When they peaked into their mother's room, they saw her lying in bed, covered with blankets.
Naturally, they wanted to go in, hug her, and say goodbye before leaving for school.
But Unhell stopped them at the door.
Don't wake her up, he told them.
She's still asleep, and you're going to be late.
The boys were confused but obeyed.
They left without their usual morning hug,
the kind of routine that had always given them comfort.
That afternoon, Unhell contacted Lupida's family.
His voice was heavy, trembling as if weighed down by sorrow.
He claimed he didn't know where she was.
He said he was worried, that he was trying to.
to find her. To anyone listening, he sounded heartbroken, devastated. But not long after,
the mask slipped. To his own children, he told a very different story, their mother had
abandoned them. She didn't love them, he said. She didn't care about them. She was gone.
When Margarita, Lupita's mother, arrived at the house later that day to demand answers,
she was met with a heartbreaking scene.
Her grandchildren were crying uncontrollably,
clinging to her as though she were their last safe harbor.
Between sobs, they repeated the story their father had told them,
Mommy left us.
She doesn't care anymore.
Margarita's heart ached, but she knew her daughter better than anyone.
Lupita would never abandon her boys.
She loved them with every fiber of her being.
Kneeling down, Margarita hugged the children tightly and told them what she knew to be true.
Your mother would never leave you.
Don't believe those words.
She's coming back.
Her voice was steady, even as her soul trembled with dread.
Unhell appeared then, trying to reinforce...
Oh, Amy, my little one.

He claimed Lupida had left him for another man.
He even added that she had taken the rent money,
leaving him with nothing.
To anyone else, this story might have sounded plausible, but not to Margarita.
She could see right through him.
She didn't believe a single word.
Instead, suspicion began to take root in her mind.
The first signs of something wrong.
Later that day, Margarita left the house determined to uncover the truth.
Meanwhile, Unhell spread different stories to others.
To some, he said that Lupida had seen.
stormed out after a fight and gone off with her friends.
To others, he insisted she had no plans of returning.
Her family grew increasingly alarmed.
They tried calling her cell phone over and over, but every attempt ended in failure.
Calls went unanswered, messages remained unread.
Panic spread among her loved ones.
Lupita wasn't the type to disappear without telling anyone.
By the end of the day, family and friends began posting about her on social media.
Photos of her smiley face-filled Facebook feeds and WhatsApp groups, accompanied by desperate pleas for information.
Please help us find Lupita, the posts read.
She is missing.
But while the family mobilized, Unhell worked hard to discourage them from going to the police.
He insisted they shouldn't file a report with the Fiscalia General.
del Estado. He said he was handling the search himself, that he was doing everything in his
power. He begged them not to involve authorities. The hours stretched into days. Lupita still
hadn't been found. It was as if she had vanished into thin air. Official action
By Wednesday, October 26th, the tension had become unbearable. Lupita's family noticed something
strange, Unhell wasn't answering their calls anymore. His evasiveness, combined with the children's
testimony and his conflicting stories, deepened their fears. That evening, the family could wait no
longer. They filed a formal report with the authorities. A case was opened, and investigators began
piecing together the puzzle of Lupita's disappearance. The Fiscalia General del Estado quickly
issued an Amber alert, not only for Lupita but also for her children, who were believed to be at
risk. The community held its breath, waiting for news. A breakthrough came sooner than expected.
Authorities located the children at the home of Angel's mother, Leonardo. With them was
Arandira, Angel's sister. The discovery was chilling, Unhell had taken the boys to his mother's house,
effectively committing the crime of child abduction.
Both Leonardo and Arrondira were arrested.
The children, terrified but safe, were placed under protection.
The Amber Alert for them was lifted, but Lupita was still missing.
The investigation narrows.
Investigators interviewed neighbors and pieced together a disturbing timeline.
Witnesses confirmed that on the night of October 23rd, they had seen
Lupita arriving home with Unhell and the children. The next morning, however, only Unhell
and the boys were seen leaving the house. Lupita never came out. This testimony was confirmed
by surveillance cameras from nearby businesses and homes. The footage painted an even
darker picture. On the morning after the party, cameras captured Unhell and his brother,
Jose Luis, carrying a heavy suitcase out of the house. They struggled with its way. They struggled with
its weight, finally loading it into the trunk of a red vehicle.
The sight of that suitcase sent chills through the investigators.
Authorities now believed Unhell had deceived Margarita intentionally, spinning lies to
buy himself time and delay any police involvement. The suitcase suggested the worst,
that Lupida had already met a tragic fate. A search warrant was issued, and collaboration
was extended to all 31 federal entities in Mexico.
The order was clear,
Unhell Shirai Zadai Molina Quayar was wanted for the crime of disappearance,
and possibly worse.
But Unhell had vanished.
With help from his brother,
it seemed he had managed to escape justice,
slipping into the shadows.
A chilling discovery.
For a week, the family lived in torment.
Each day without a,
answers felt like a lifetime. Margarita couldn't sleep. She prayed constantly, clinging to the
hope that her daughter might still be alive somewhere, waiting to be rescued. But on Monday,
October 31st, 2022, their worst fears came true. Around midday, an anonymous caller reached out to the police.
They reported a foul smell coming from an abandoned vehicle parked in a secluded spot. The odor was
unmistakable, and the tip sent chills down everyone's spine.
When authorities arrived, they confirmed the car matched the description of Angel's red vehicle,
the same one caught on camera days earlier.
What they found inside would shatter hearts forever.
To be continued.
