Starting point is 00:00:00 Hi, on today's episode, we talk about the absolute monster that is Anthony Fauci, how the GOP won't force an abuser out of Congress. And we also speak with the president of the Fair Election Center to talk about the Trump administration's possible election shenanigans. Hi, hello, everyone. Welcome back to even more news. My name's Katie Stoll. Yes, it is.
Starting point is 00:00:40 Hello, I am not. I am Cody Johnston instead. Cody Johnson instead. And of course, Jonathan is also here. Hi. That's what he says. We've determined that's what I've said and it takes a lot of pressure off of me. Come up with something funny.
Starting point is 00:01:00 Hi. Later on in the episode, we are going to be joined by Rebecca Carruthers, CEO of the Fair Election Center and we had a great conversation about voting and how worried we should be and things of that nature. But before we get to that, we're gonna talk about Anthony Fauci, I guess.
Starting point is 00:01:28 Oh, okay. Well, everyone's talking about him. Fauci, Fauci. What's that with his Fauci guy. Most famous man in America. We haven't been able to stop talking about it. him for six plus years now lock him up he was in front of a Senate committee on Wednesday where Republican senators helmed by Rand Paul really went at him about
Starting point is 00:01:53 things get him if you don't remember Anthony Fauci the old guy he's was in charge of the NIAID the National Institutes of Allergy and infectious diseases if I recall correctly guy standing behind Trump who'd be like that's not actually don't do that But maybe we could all do that guy. But if you didn't know, he's like the decade's greatest villain. And recently Rand Paul, and we can get into what those things supposedly are. I'm willing to entertain those things. We're just setting up the broad strokes here.
Starting point is 00:02:23 Jonathan's real cute up and ready to go on this, folks. I just got to let you know. You should see our research doc. Big runway to get to, yeah. I wrote and this will not all be contained in this episode, but I wrote like three pages with all of these. links and details about why I don't think a lab leak is terribly plausible.
Starting point is 00:02:42 Whatever. People are... But we're going to get to that. We're going to get to that. Whatever. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But Rand Paul released pages from Fauci's personal diary,
Starting point is 00:02:50 which I guess he left on a government server somewhere. So weird. Hidden in there. Not exactly clear where it was, how they found it. I don't think there's anything nefarious involved that we know of yet. But anyway, it was there.
Starting point is 00:03:06 And some of it's, you know, a little embarrassing. Diaries tend to be, I would say. Things like, you know, he's meeting celebrities. He writes, it's not hyperbole to say that today I am the most famous and talked about person in the country and one of the most recognizable persons in the world. And like, that was true, but it's a weird, you know, yeah. Real quick.
Starting point is 00:03:32 Anybody reading anybody else's diary should be embarrassing. These are the things you write out. But yeah, it is odd to see because there's lots of exclamation points. There's lots of like, it's, it reads like glee about it at times that said he's an old man writing in his diary. And it's got to be a trip to all of a sudden be very famous for something very nerdy being a scientist. Yeah, it's like, yeah, it's a little embarrassing, I guess. And like, oh, he, he, I'm famous. I met him.
Starting point is 00:04:03 But like, he is a very serious. like virus nerd like suddenly you're the most famous person in the country and you're are meeting Barbara's why would he ever think you would ever meet these people they're like contacting him to say like
Starting point is 00:04:21 thank you Dr. Fauci for bringing a sensibility to this right like of course he's going to be like yeah Julia Roberts thinks I'm great like that's crazy but it's not I didn't get the sense before we move because there's far more important detail
Starting point is 00:04:37 I'm going to say like this isn't the stuff people are focusing on. But I also don't think it's worth coming back to revisit. So I'm just going to say this. In the criticisms of the diary, there's people saying like, this man is a narcissist. And it's like, no, you don't know what narcissism is. Maybe this is dorky. Our humble president. And like, come on.
Starting point is 00:04:57 Much like the documents that Tulsi Gabbard released on her way out, there's no like smoking gun here where he's like, we're releasing the virus tomorrow. I've engineered it myself, don't you know. Well, this is what they do. Then this is, I mean, and they know, like, they've done it with aliens. You pointed to Tulsi Gabbard, the White House website. They do this all the time where it's like, we just released the proof and here the documents. And then they just sort of like walk away. Yeah, they don't tell you what you should really notice about them.
Starting point is 00:05:29 And so you assume, like, oh, there's like so much, there's so much evidence in there. but it's usually not. Yeah, and like there's stuff that they've tried to kind of pick at. Also, you have to remember like what date certain things happened to remember like, oh, what was the vibe and the feeling in January 2020 versus May 2020? What did we know? What didn't we know? What didn't we know?
Starting point is 00:05:53 In January 2020, January 26, he wrote that the market where, you know, most scientists and researchers believe the virus emerged from wrote that the market was likely the amplifier, not the source. And Rand Paul was like, you didn't, you hid this from the American people. And that's not really true. He said basically the same thing in an interview with USA Today a few weeks later. And it was only, you know, significantly later, several months later, where they were, where most of the internal people were kind of like, okay, we think we're set on this wet market explanation now. while leaving the door open that it still could be a lab leak or it still could have emerged elsewhere and then amplified there. Like,
Starting point is 00:06:40 Ram Paul, he also lied about a bunch of stuff. He just said stuff that wasn't true. But then he did this kind of thing where he was like, I don't remember hearing you say that. Vibes-wise sounds like something different than what I remember when it isn't actually so precise, given that Anthony Fauci was not a world famous person in January 2020. Also, like, I don't remember you saying that.
Starting point is 00:07:01 Well, did you watch every thing I say? set you i mean i can remind you like do you remember from six years ago on any random tuesday night sir yeah he so there was a lot of bluster in this we can watch some clips from this if you want i put them below my long three page rant i'm gonna say yeah like you got these three pages of like this this this this and then we can watch him plead the fifth for a while yeah uh oh right we should say that uh fouchy at the advice of his lawyers given that their talk even though he did get a preemptive pardon these guys are talking about throwing them and they think he should be in jail forever.
Starting point is 00:07:35 He murdered 9 million people via the vaccine or COVID. I'm not sure which one they're talking about. Or the lockdowns or like whatever. Right. They want to execute. Like people are talking about he needs to be executed. He's 85 guys. He can't hurt you.
Starting point is 00:07:47 One of the complaints is that privately he was saying that the COVID is less deadly apparently in his journals than what he said publicly. And so was he. overplaying COVID seriousness with some nefarious scheme to ruin America by keeping you guys at home. And so he's overstating things. Or did he murder people? Did he engineer it? I can't keep track of this.
Starting point is 00:08:20 Yeah. They manufactured and leaked a deadly virus that's actually like not a problem and it's fake. And the vaccine is the actual thing that killed people even though it's not doing that. But the vaccine was Operation Warp Speed and Donald Trump. is saying, no, the vaccine was great, and that's all thanks to me. More people died with Biden than with me, but I did the vaccine. It's such a confusing soup. And in reality, when you look at these journals, yes, perhaps embarrassing.
Starting point is 00:08:45 But I genuinely don't understand what the hala belu is completely about. It seems to me that this is the journal, the private journal of somebody working through an immense time in his life and in this, the world. immense moment of time for the entire world. And all the attention is on him asking for answers. And he doesn't have all the answers all at once. We're getting more information as it progresses. We're learning more the longer we're in it.
Starting point is 00:09:18 You know, people being upset about the guidance at the beginning that you didn't need masks versus later on as we got, again, more information and more PPE available for people in the general population to arm themselves with information in masks. It's just absurd to say that, yeah. And there are like there are missteps and things but not like let's let's go get them and hang that man. Like yeah, like the mask thing.
Starting point is 00:09:48 It seems like he was talking about how you don't need that kind of thing because he was worried that there would be not enough PPE for like professionals and doctors who needed it more. and maybe he could have communicated that instead of saying you don't need it because then it made the saying...
Starting point is 00:10:05 I don't know. I feel like he did communicate that. That's what I've remembered this whole time. Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe my memories... But I remember very early on being like, I thought we didn't meet new masks. Oh, it's because there's more available.
Starting point is 00:10:17 Okay, now we can start wearing masks. Yeah, I can and so on. And now you can order them in fun leopard prints. Well, right. And then it was several months before the word kind of got down to us that these fabric masks are probably not going to do the trick, right?
Starting point is 00:10:31 And you need these other kinds of masks. The things did progress. Like, we were all waiting in line at the grocery store, wearing the fabric masks for a while. And, you know, like, the things change as they develop. And that's kind of what you see when you look through all of Fauci's private communications. Is that at first they say, hey, maybe this thing could have leaked from a lab. It might have some hallmarks of that.
Starting point is 00:10:54 Okay, go ahead and look into it. Okay, we looked into it. And it's still possible, but we think we're going to go with this thing. Okay, great. Publish that. Like, you really don't see him, like, leaning on people to go one way or another. He's not, like, threatening everyone. He's not saying we've got to cover our tracks because of all the gain of function research, blah, blah, blah.
Starting point is 00:11:16 And you can see in, like, the thing you were referring to, Katie, is, you know, in his diary early. It was a journal, right? Why are we calling it a diary as if it doesn't matter? Well, because he started each entry with Dear Diary. My crush came up to me at lunch today. Wow. Her name is Julia Roberts. I can't believe you know that is.
Starting point is 00:11:38 The eye and Fauci had a heart. It's the dog. He kissed it. He sprayed perfume on the computer screen. But they're saying that he was publicly saying that the death rate was way higher. The fatality rate would be way higher. And the quote is, this was to the house on March 11th, When you look at all the data, including China, is about 3%.
Starting point is 00:12:01 It first started off as 2, and now 3. I think if you count all the cases of minimally symptomatic or asymptomatic infection, that probably brings the mortality rate down to somewhere around 1%, which means it is 10 times more lethal than the seasonal flu. I think that's something that people can get their arms around and understand. So not only was like, are they leaving out the second part of his paragraph there, but also he's talking about it not just in terms of what they think it might end up being because they didn't know, but also in terms of public health messaging. And I don't think it's unreasonable to see like Slack chats where they debate how should we message this, what's going to get the message across.
Starting point is 00:12:44 So even if it did end up being under 1% fatality and they say, well, let's just go with, we're going to say it's two to three now, probably 1% overall. let's not complicate things. We want people to know how serious it is. Like I don't think that that's unreasonable, right? I don't think it's unreasonable at all. I would consider that responsible. How to effectively communicate, especially when our,
Starting point is 00:13:08 we're so deeply broken and fragmented and it's very difficult to get information accurately injected into people. How you should inject bleach to convict COVID. Not the best communication there. No, it's absurd. Something I want to bring. up about this whole conversation that is so wild to me is that it's almost, it feels beyond
Starting point is 00:13:30 partisan even right now. It's a cacophony online of people declaring boldly. We know for certain now that the virus came from the lab. Oh yeah. They're acting like it's just common knowledge now. I don't understand it. And maybe some of our viewers count themselves among that. And I'm not trying to dis anyone, but I am very confused where you get that certainty. Because as far as I can tell, and Jonathan's done a deep dive, there is, as well to back me up here, there is no certainty. And people making broad proclamations that anybody that still believes this is just openly being propagandized. And I would say that that goes both ways. Because, because, Because we don't have an answer and we're likely to never have a definitive answer.
Starting point is 00:14:26 Well, because that animal is probably dead. Like, we're not going to be like, this is the one. This is the raccoon dog. Prosecute the bat. And there are theories and there are things that people say boldly and then you dig into it and you seem like, well, actually, that's not completely true. That's not completely accurate. But to say that I just am so blown away by it and it's not just, it's not just, It's not just the right wing, although certainly more cohesively the right wing.
Starting point is 00:14:56 It's a centrist. I mean, all sides, two-thirds of Americans believe it came from a lab. Yeah, it's a nonpartisan sort of approach. I mean, even the, like the CIA and another agency. The FBI and CIA both were like with lower moderate confidence. Right, it's like with low confidence. So like to be like, no, it's definitely that. It's like, well, even the one, like the two agencies that like agree.
Starting point is 00:15:21 have very low confidence in that. The Department of Energy for some reason decided to weigh in. Yeah, it's like even little things, you know, I've seen people, some of people pass around this one part where he, they're talking about the lab leak theory
Starting point is 00:15:36 and Fauci's like, go disprove that. And people are like, they just wanted to like suppress this idea. Like, well, no, he means like scientifically. It's a scientific approach. Go look into it and disprove it. Here's your hypothesis. Or don't. Attempt to disprove the hypothesis, yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:49 And it's like that kind of stuff. It's just like, low information or like the lack of communication and ability to have like this kind of knowledge. Like, well, this is just how they talk. They're not saying like, go disprove it because we don't be able to know. It's like, no, try to disprove it. If you can't, then that's a valid theory that we can explore, you know? Right. Ultimately, what we should be trying to learn is how to collectively react best to situations like this. How to have the most transparency. So we have information leading up to it,
Starting point is 00:16:23 how information can be shared to the population, how we can best protect each other, how we can learn to trust our government. Yeah, and we're not really keeping together the resources or the staffing in public health to handle that kind of thing, which becomes more likely with climate change
Starting point is 00:16:46 pushing animals closer to humans. Even if you think this one was a lab leak, natural spillovers happen all the time, and they're going to keep happening. Well, even if you think it was a lab, yeah, I just feel like you think it's a lab leak, like it did, you probably still think it, the wet market was the amplifier. Well, you'd have to, that's where all the initial cluster of cases were all around there. But there's so many things, like people might say, like, well, no, that sneezed on a researcher or whatever it is, you're I think it was.
Starting point is 00:17:21 And then that researcher is the one that went and spread it in the wet market. And Jonathan can take down that point. He's got counterpoints to that claim. There's so much just, but we know that it did amplify there. But the leading theory is that it is still zoonotic and not specifically a lab leak. Also, the lab leak idea does suggest that it was purposeful maybe. I mean, an accidental lab leak kind of makes no sense. because there were two strains that came out initially at that wet market.
Starting point is 00:17:54 And so someone would have had to go to the very place you would expect a virus to cross over twice. But do you think purposefully, like China purposefully leaks this on purpose, to do what, to really destroy your own local communities the whole world over? Yeah, I'm not sure. We're going to release this virus. That's actually no big deal. It's basically like the common cold. but we're going to release it for, right,
Starting point is 00:18:21 so that we can create a virus that kill, or a vaccine that kills people. I'm not really sure. I'm not tracking this. Yeah, where the theory goes. The more important question is how we all collectively handle. Prosecute Fauci. Yeah, you prosecute the old man
Starting point is 00:18:37 who was delighted that Julia Roberts smiled at him across the cafeteria. Yeah, so I think we should watch a few of these clips and maybe we'll find a way, since I've already written like a third of a script's worth on this, maybe we'll do something with this. That's a good idea. And it's also not just me.
Starting point is 00:18:54 It's like I basically used the research of virologist Angela Rasmussen and the If Books Could Kill podcast on this episode. You can go listen to that. That's very good. I think Professor Dave Explains did a video on this. That's all very good stuff. So you don't need me to do a whole thing. But I got carried away.
Starting point is 00:19:13 So let's watch. Let's watch Rand Paul and then we'll watch Bernie Moreno. They will argue that government officials cannot be questioned because questioning them would undermine public trust. They have it backwards. It is secrecy that destroys trust. It is arrogance that destroys trust. It is censorship that destroys trust. And it is the refusal to admit error that destroys trust.
Starting point is 00:19:40 That loss of trust may be your most damaging legacy. So Rand Paul is really upset at the destruction of the public's trust in science and health, which is Anthony Fauci's fault. Totally Anthony Fauci's fault, not his party. Well, it's because it's like, that's something he's saying. It's like, that sounds reasonable, but like in context, but you're, but like, look at, look at, look at it at all. Look at what you're, look at who, look at what's going on. Yeah, it's bad faith because his party is the party of. propagating all of that. But okay. Yeah, I think there's just this holier than vow thing from him. And of course,
Starting point is 00:20:21 it's easy to point out the hypocrisy. It's like, oh, it's your party that has destroyed all the trust in every public institution. Go look around. Lying about it has done that. But, you know, he he took the fifth, which does strengthen Rand Paul and all the other senators' ability to be like, I know you're not going to disagree with me. Taking the fifth. If my lawyers told me to do it, I would do it. Like, they are, Tommy Tuberville said on, like, newsmax, like, we're going to try to see if we can get something on a state charge on him. Like, he has no reason to answer to these knuckleheads at all. And he's said so much stuff that people didn't give a shit about.
Starting point is 00:21:03 Why would he think that it would help now? Like, you can't just repeat everything that he could say or would say has been said. and it wasn't good enough for them. And the documents are there for anyone to read. Like, they've released them all. Go take a look. I'm also just so sick of the double standards in general with these kinds of hearings and questionings. And, you know, you get some Trump goon up there
Starting point is 00:21:28 and they can say whatever the fuck they want. And just refuse to answer the question. Just refuse to answer the question. Do whatever. And, like, lie, lie, lie. And there's no recourse. But you're going to be furious about, somebody taking the fifth?
Starting point is 00:21:42 I mean, Trump takes the fifth all the time. It's not like, you know, it's a thing that you can do. It's right there. It's right there. I know they hate it right now. Like, how dare someone do the thing that they're allowed to do that people do in movies, like strategically all the time?
Starting point is 00:21:59 Like, do we think that every person who's ever not taken the stand in their own defense is guilty? Like, is that what people think? Sometimes. When it's advantageous to them. Sometimes yes. Sometimes not. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:22:15 All right. So this one is Ohio Republican Senator Bernie Moreno. Very angry at Fauci here. When that story broke, I said to myself, I cannot stand idly on the side and watch this happen. It was about six years ago today that I decided I'm going to give up my businesses, sell them all, run for office, run to the United States Senate. Here I am sitting in front of you six years later saying,
Starting point is 00:22:47 who the fuck do you think you were for doing that? The that, which is not in this clip, what she talks about before, is a story about like a mother getting tased and dragged out of a stadium where her son was going to play a sport because she refused to wear a mask. Why did Fauci do that? Yeah, why did you do that?
Starting point is 00:23:09 That was pretty false. up of Fauci. What was he 79 at the time? Yeah. To be like, I want the police who are blameless in this to go tase people who aren't going to wear masks. Oh, I thought he is mean. That he, Anthony Fauci himself hauled her out. Well, I notice this.
Starting point is 00:23:29 It's not in the three pages you put. There's a page from his diary where he's like, tased somebody today. Tee-hee. Yeah. Tees-he. Oh, my God. So fun. Why don't you address that?
Starting point is 00:23:39 There's a fun diary thing. We'll get back to the Katie Miller, yeah. Oh, the Katie Miller thing. Well, she's actually interacting with this story now on X and being asked about it. We might as well say that the Katie Miller diary entry, Jonathan. What did Katie Miller and Anthony Fauci? Katie Miller was pregnant in 2020 and they had a newborn. And she was apparently in close contact with Fauci as like the top science knower in the country at the time.
Starting point is 00:24:07 and he wrote in his diary, I am calling Katie frequently to check on her a couple times per day. She is very anxious about getting very ill since she is 10 weeks pregnant. Tonight she had an anxiety reaction. I calmed her over the phone. And in another entry, he talks about speaking with Stephen and Katie Miller's newborns doctors about treatment because the child had some kind of medical episode.
Starting point is 00:24:32 So something to keep in mind every time Katie Miller says, my pronouns are prosecute slash vouchers. Fouching or whatever. There's also reporting that I think Jacob Soberoff was saying that during the L.A. fires, Katie Miller was on the phone with him trying to have him go check on Stevens' family's home during the L.A. Fios. Yep. And he did. He went to go.
Starting point is 00:24:54 I think he's the one that told them that it was gone. Anyway, regardless, my point is, is Katie Miller behind the scene seems to have a lot of relationships with people that he, she publicly bashes. But for all of the accusations of Fauci being. being a dork or a narcissist. How kind, how very kind of a man to say that I've been checking in with her. Calling her frequently. How kind and thoughtful of this man to do that for this woman of somebody, her husband is not treating him well, to go out of his way to give her all that extra care and attention
Starting point is 00:25:33 to help her with her newborn child. What a thoughtful thing that monster did. We don't need to get into necessarily the full exchange going on now, but she is tweeting about it now because everyone's like, hey, look at what the fuck, Katie. So she tweeted about this. Every man who has a journal is a narcissist is how the tweet starts. I don't know if that's true. Probably not. Well, we do know introspection is a not whatever.
Starting point is 00:25:58 For NPCs or something. I don't know. Whatever. It's so stupid thing. And then she says, Dr. Fauci was neither my friend nor my doctor. but a work colleague who weaponized my pregnancy and child for his gain to aggrandize himself. Now, I, and there's more to the tweet, and she goes back and forth with Sam Stein, but I, that's such an interesting claim slash lie because he didn't mention that to anybody.
Starting point is 00:26:22 Right. He wrote in his private personal diary that he called you every day. We didn't know about that until today. So how did he use it to aggrandize himself? What are you talking about? Nobody fucking knew about it. He's like, I'm so fucking great. Like, what, like, what are you talking about, Katie?
Starting point is 00:26:40 Anyway, it's very silly. And then she, like, as they say, keep your friends close and your enemies closer. I can say with certainty after witnessing his con up close, this man should be in prison, justice for the American people. And then Sam Stein pops in. Like, for clarity, you are communicating your pregnancy COVID fears in real time with Fauci because you were secretly keeping tabs on him, regarded him as an enemy. And then she, it's just a whole back and forth.
Starting point is 00:27:05 She's a liar. She also makes a claim that Fauci told Stephen Miller to leave her while she was pregnant. That sounds like a lie. I mean, it's a very specific thing. It is very specific. It's very weird. That's confusing because, like, you'd think it would be the reverse. You'd think it'd be like, Katie, you've got to get out of this.
Starting point is 00:27:24 You got to leave this guy. Like, get your kids safe from this fucking freak. Also, he indicated there could be lifelong complications to my baby. Well, yeah. Yeah. Yeah, but, um, it's just, I, I just, she's just a fucking. Well, also, because this was like very early on, right? Like, you, like, of course it was very scary.
Starting point is 00:27:46 It's just like, well, I spoke with him near daily for over a year, given the role I served in at the time. That week was not out of the ordinary. I did not stop working when I had COVID. Yeah, but the claim isn't that you, like, worked with him. The claim is that he called you frequently to talk you down from your anxiety attacks about this. Like, it wasn't. work related. Which we were all having at the time.
Starting point is 00:28:06 I didn't have a line to Fouchy. Seems really nice of him to check in on her and help her with her stress. And I don't know. She seemed like a bad person, but whatever. Yes, we are going to pivot now to our interview with Rebecca Carruthers from the Fair Election Center. And you're going to enjoy it. A different kind of preparedness. So today we are delighted to be joined with a very special guest who is going to talk with us about elections.
Starting point is 00:28:41 President and CEO of the Fair Elections Center, Rebecca Carruthers. Welcome, Rebecca. Thank you so much for joining us. Thank you. Thank you for having me. So I'm just going to start off nice and light here. How nervous are we about election? I hope references by saying for the past two years my guiding light has been,
Starting point is 00:29:07 we're going to have a sweep in the midterms, just working towards that North Star. And I do maintain that the energy and enthusiasm is there. But this past year especially has started to, I've gotten pretty nervous. Chipping away that town is supposed. That's a foolery that's been about. But this isn't a starting off point. How are you feeling right now? Well, I think you and your listeners and viewers should be very concerned.
Starting point is 00:29:42 We are 96 days out from midterms. But just on the other side of Labor Day, many states will actually start early voting. And so you should be very concerned because over the last four, the six years, we've seen a concerted effort of creating. a patchwork of very ugly voter suppression tactics enacted across our country. So you should be extremely concerned, especially when you have the leader or the so-called leader of the free world using every tool at his disposal to make it harder for millions of Americans to cast their ballot.
Starting point is 00:30:20 Let's bring up a few of those tools and dig into them a little bit. Obviously, there's lots of different lawsuits going on. appeals court just said that his executive order restricting mail voting can continue for now because an injunction would be premature. And this came a day after Trump asked the Supreme Court to intervene to allow him to get a federal list of eligible voters and only allow ballots to be sent by mail to people on that list. And those are two different things, as is my understanding. And then there's the Save Act that he's trying to push through not going anywhere right now in the Senate. Is there a sense that the rules that we're playing by will be clear when November comes around?
Starting point is 00:31:08 Or is it just like it's we have to wait. It's coming down to the wire, whatever these courts decide to do, cross your fingers, show up at the polls and do your best. Well, in normal times, there is a period of time in which you can't have new words. rules enacted leading into an election, but we're not in normal times, are we? And so while, yes, I want your listeners and your viewers to be very concerned, to be very vigilant, and I'll offer up suggestions and tips and things and resources that Fair Election Center offers to make sure that those who want to vote are able to make sure they're properly registered to vote, cast their ballot, and for their ballot to count, but I have to do a table setting here so people understand what's
Starting point is 00:31:54 So you're referencing a case out of the district court, I believe in Boston. I think that's the case you're referencing. That was only for half of the country, roughly half of the country, but we also saw that the president is asking the Supreme Court to take this particular case up. But before we get to one individual court case or court ruling, before we get to one specific state legislature, before we get to one baseless executive order, we have to talk about it in. this totality. And so that's why I keep emphasizing it's a mosaic of voter suppression. It is a patchwork quilt of bad policy, bad law that we're seeing. So you talk about the Save Act, then you have the DHS's saved system. You reference vote by mail. So let's start talking about the Postal Service.
Starting point is 00:32:47 So August of 2025, the president issued an executive order saying that he was going to get rid of vote by mail. Now, constitutionally, legally, the president cannot do so, but it doesn't mean he can't wreak havoc. So the post office finalized some rulemaking in December, and they said that, you know what, we can't guarantee any parcel going through our system to arrive when it said it's going to arrive or to arrive at his destination, right? So between December through April, the post office has said a bunch of different stuff that Americans should be worried about because the postal services one job is to deliver parcel, to deliver letters and packages throughout the United States, but also even around the world. And so for the post office to say we no longer can guarantee
Starting point is 00:33:41 that we're able to do so, the post office also seemed to indicate that it will no longer prioritize election mail, but we're unclear if the post office is no longer prioritizing even ballots entering into a system. So that's the first thing. The next thing, we saw that there was a case in front the Supreme Court. It was trying to make a decision on grace periods. What grace periods are, there's about 14 or so states plus a district of Columbia that says if you turn in your, if you postmark your mail-in ballot by election day, even if it arrives after election day, it'll still be able to count. Right? So the Supreme Court said, okay, fine, we're not, we're not going to touch that. But then you have the president once again talking to the
Starting point is 00:34:34 postal board after the Supreme Court said that the president now has an authority that really isn't there to impact federal commissions, including congressional federal commissions like the EAC, the Election Assistance Commission, where the president just fired everyone on that commission. And that commission is responsible for making sure that our elections are happening properly in this country to help smooth out particular issues that might show up in our election system. So when you see the president start to do these things, you got to get concerned, you got to get worried. And then you have different states passing their own version of You have the state of Florida. You have South Dakota. You have Utah. I believe New Hampshire,
Starting point is 00:35:22 I think is looking at it. You have Missouri. You have Mississippi with the Sheld Act. And specifically, I need your listeners and your viewers to understand exactly what the Save Act is. The Save Act is about documentary proof of citizenship. The president is pushing out disinformation, intentional misleading information by saying, oh, this is just about voter ID, this is about photo ID. It is not. For documentary proof of citizenship, there's two documents that meet those standards, either a certified birth certificate or an unexpired passport. Over half of the country doesn't have a passport.
Starting point is 00:36:05 Tens of billions of people do not have really access to their birth certificate. And why should it matter, right? Like there's a lot of people say, oh, well, you're born in this country, you get issued a birth certificate. That's not accurate, especially for those of us who have relatives who are born during the Jim Crow South, birth certificates weren't automatically issued. I have people in my family who were born who didn't have birth certificates issue. Or if you are from rural areas, you didn't always have the issuance of a birth certificate. So according to the president, that person should not be able to vote. I mean, even beyond that, I mean, sure, yeah, but if you did, we're given this little piece of paper at birth.
Starting point is 00:36:47 And it's not laminated. And it's supposed to last you the rest of your life. If not, you have to jump through so many hoops. This is beside the point. I'm trying to get my real idea finally. There's a reason why I haven't yet. And it is so difficult. They keep rejecting everything I'm trying.
Starting point is 00:37:04 I'm like, this is me. They keep rejecting it. And it really hammered home to me just how difficult it would be for somebody with even less times available to spend trying to navigate this bullshit, how to prove they are who they are in order to vote. In general, if you've got to go to work, if you've got kids to take care of, you're like, I'm not, I just don't have time. I guess I'm not voting. And it's everything you've laid out is definitely painting a picture of overwhelm, which is, I think, the point is like, you can't even quite trace all the different things that they're throwing out there. I have a question. When it comes to the SAVE Act, we have to split. There's like the voter ID part and all of these proof of citizenship for registration part, which I imagine would be even more burdensome.
Starting point is 00:37:53 But because of the polling on voter ID, are we kind of running away from trying to make the argument about how that is burdensome as well? I haven't heard that come up as much. and these other things are also so extremely important and potentially more burdensome. But can we still make the case about why it's probably not a good idea to do voter ID requirements as well? Well, it's more than voter ID. Many states already have voter ID, right? But under the SAVE Act, if it passes, the only state that would be in compliance with its photo ID is Ohio. So that means if you don't live in Ohio, if you live in the 49 other states plus territories plus the District of Columbia, your ID, your photo ID will not meet the standards of the SAVE Act.
Starting point is 00:38:44 And so here's the thing that I want you to really think about. So the IRS and state and local tax authorities know who you are, right? Yeah. They make sure they do. They make sure they collect their money from you. So how is it when it comes to finances and getting money. from us. All layers of government can find us. They know exactly who we are. But all of a sudden, when we're trying to carry out our constitutional right to vote, I don't know who you are. Are you really who you say you are? I'm not sure, Katie. Is that really you? Jonathan and Cody, are you really you? It's amazing. It's also a croc of BS. Another thing we wanted to bring up while we have you is the threat of ice at the polls and the intimidation that that would create the chaos that would create. Is this something that people should be wary of? Well, because he, this is another one
Starting point is 00:39:49 of like, he can't, right? Right. You're all these, like, so many examples are like, oh, he's saying this, but then the courts say this, but then he's kind of saying it anyway or trying to do it anyway. And the ice stuff so far has mostly been threats from him. about it. It's been unclear sort of like if there are actual plans to do that or if it's just something he decides to say every once in a while. Yeah, Mark Wayne said it on Fox News or something, but you're right. So first of all, it's against federal law for any federal agent that is armed for any federal law enforcement, for any federal troop to be sent to an entering inside a polling location in this country full stop. However, this president has been convicted for doing illegal things. This
Starting point is 00:40:33 president also has a very strong pension, is very hard press, to do things that run afoul of the law. But this is what happens when you say those things. And once again, you have misinformation, but this is going beyond misinformation goes to disinformation, where you're intentionally spreading false information to targeted demographics to cause an action or an inaction. And that's what the president is doing here. Because we work with a lot of young people. at Fair Election Center because we work to defend, expand, facilitate voting rights in this country through litigation, halls of power, through advocacy, and of course on college campuses.
Starting point is 00:41:12 So for many first-time voters, they're hearing all of this craziness. Even if it's in Mississippi, they're passing the Shield Act, or if it's in Ohio, they're doing all sorts of crazy requirements with voter ID. If you are a student that's in Denver and you're just hearing these stories or seeing and TikTok, it may not occur to you, oh, those things are happening in other states. Instead, you're thinking, oh, no, this is going to happen to me if I attempt to vote. And so there's a misnomer right now of thinking that young people in this country are engaged, that they're apathetic,
Starting point is 00:41:49 and that couldn't be further from the truth. The issue is there's so much information out there, and the bulk of it is disinformation and misinformation. They're confused. They don't know what's happening and they don't know where to go to get information. I don't know if you all paid attention, but the other day, Metatis announced a partnership, a content partnership with Newsmax. And they said that they will source Newsmax in their AI searches across all of their platforms. Do you really trust Newsmax to provide accurate information, especially about upcoming elections? So if a young person or just people, period, you're looking and you're trying to figure out, you're searching for information. And we know Instagram and TikTok are some of the two top search engines right now.
Starting point is 00:42:42 It's likely to be bad information. And so when I keep talking about the mosaic of bad things, or I'm talking about a patchwork of misinformation, disinformation, and bad voter laws, that's the totality of voter suppression. And so I keep talking about what I fear and when I'm scared, what I'm concerned about. That's what I'm concerned about. But at Fair Election Center, we actually have some pretty good resources for folks. They want accurate information. Well, we definitely want that.
Starting point is 00:43:13 We definitely want access to the resources. I'm assuming, I mean, you've already said that there's different tips and stuff. So we will share those. Just the idea, the threat, if you're feeling intimidated, about going to the polls for fear of what might happen there or what federal enforcement officers may or may not do. I wonder if there's some common advice, like just going with friends,
Starting point is 00:43:38 being a buddy system, even as simple as that, coming prepared with your documents, whatever you need. Yeah, knowing your rights, knowing what to say, knowing how to handle that kind of situation. So on our website, fair elections center.org, We're a national non-partisan organization. We don't tell people who to vote for, but we make sure that you have accurate information. Our team of attorneys vet the information every year for its accuracy.
Starting point is 00:44:09 So we have an election survival guide. It's a toolkit that lets you know basic information in all 50 states plus the district of Columbia of election information, of like what the deadlines are for voter registration, the deadlines for requesting a ballot through the mail if your jurisdiction allows it. Hours of operation on Elections Day, if you're in the state of Alabama, which only has one day of voting, and that is on Election Day. We also have third-party voter registration drives. So if you are so inclined because you are concerned and you want to make sure that your
Starting point is 00:44:47 neighbors are eligible to vote and are properly registered, then we have information that you can use If you want to work with the grassroots organization, if you or some of your neighbors want to create a registration drive, then make sure all your family and friends and neighbors are properly registered the vote. But this is what I'll tell folks. Make sure you immediately, as soon as you hear this broadcast, make sure you double check your voter registration. Make sure the spelling of your name is accurate and it matches your ID. make sure the address is accurate.
Starting point is 00:45:24 Make sure that you understand in your respective state the different modalities in which you can vote. And so you can use our guides for that. If your jurisdiction allows early voting as soon as you have the opportunity to vote this year, go vote. The reason why is time is on your side just in case you run into issues and you have time in order to fix or cure those issues. And then it maybe might get counted earlier so people don't think that late counted ballots are somehow swaying the results. First of all, it's ridiculous that that guy in the White House says stuff like that, because every state, they tell you on election day the order in which they start counting ballots that have been cast.
Starting point is 00:46:12 Every, like, look, before coming to Fair Election Center, I worked in electoral politics. I've been a campaign manager, done political projects, in, like, 30 states. across the country. When I tell you, every local election administrator will tell candidates, will just tell the public, hey, this is the order in which we count ballots. This is, so now, if you're, if the polls in your jurisdiction closes at 8 p.m., you know what the 815 drop is, the 845 drop is, the 915 drop. One of them is the stolen drop. And it's not happening, but you have someone who has the bully puppet of the White House just saying the craziest most insane things.
Starting point is 00:46:55 So wild because we live in an age where we have every piece of information at our fingertips and unfortunately every piece of real information is also obfuscated by bad information or bad actors such as our president. Is it tough to be a nonpartisan organization when the one side is kind of talking about how the whole thing is fake and fraudulent and we have fake elections and you can't trust? any of the woke Marxists and stuff, that's got to be challenging. It's not tough because I get to speak truth to power. And if someone's being this honest, I get to call it out. Being nonpartisan means that I don't endorse a respective party.
Starting point is 00:47:34 Because there's also criticism of the Democratic Party in a certain states of things that they could do to better elections. And there's definitely criticism of the Republican Party and things that they're doing in variety of states and nationally to further restrict the right to vote. So I do enjoy the ability to hold people accountable and speak truth to power because that's what's needed now. Let's say things are different next year in a couple years. What sort of legislation could be put forward to strengthen the rights of people to vote and maybe even improve people's trust in the system as it's been so eroded by the president and others around him.
Starting point is 00:48:18 I enjoy that question, and I'm going to answer that by telling you my family's American story. So my family has been in this country for centuries. I'm a descendant of those who are enslaved in America. My great, great, great grandfather, he ended slavery in Texas, and he became free because of June Teeth. He founded a town in Texas in Navarro County,
Starting point is 00:48:43 which is about an hour 15 south of Dallas, He founded a town that still exists now. And those early Jubilee or Juneteenth celebrations celebrating freedom, people got registered the vote. Black men were registered to vote. And so this has been in my family's fight for years. So, but there's something important that happened in 1875. We had reconstruction. We had all sorts of federal civil rights laws that got passed. But then 1883 happened and that Supreme Court upended all these civil rights. rights. It took 87 years from that first reconstruction to get the civil rights movement and to get passages of new civil rights laws. We're now, for all intents and purposes in the third reconstruction, and I'll tell you, I'll be damned if it's going to take us 87 years to get full civil rights back in this country. And so that's something that I want everyone to lean in. The next 10 years is going to be hard. It's going to be a fight, but it's going to be worth it. And this time, as we're rebuilding civil rights in this country for this country to be truly representative of awe.
Starting point is 00:49:51 We have to look at the blueprint of the past. We have to understand where we need to strengthen rights because no one in this country should have to fight for their existence in this country. Everybody needs to go and check out your website needs to go and arm themselves with as much information as possible now. and, yeah, make sure that you are registered. Absolutely. And if you want to do something,
Starting point is 00:50:20 if you want to rage give because you're upset at how bad things are, we have a nice, shiny donate button, and we take donations. We are actively filing litigation. In fact, we're starting our 2028 litigation, because it's going to take a couple years to get through the court system. So we are fighting for 2026 and we're starting the fight for 2028 now. We are working with college students across the country, training them on election protection so they can make sure the reporting issues are happening at early voting sites on or near their campuses. And so if you want to rage a gift, by all means, go to Fair Election Center.org, click on that donate button.
Starting point is 00:51:00 Well, slam your fist on the donate button. Yes. Rebecca, thank you, again, for taking the time to have this conversation with us. And for everything you do, and everybody there is so bizarre and shameful that you have all this work to do, that this is even something that we need to be dealing with in this country that likes to claim that it invented democracy. But here we are. We brought you into this world. We can take you out. We made it.
Starting point is 00:51:31 We broke it. So once again, Rebecca Carruthers from the Fair Elections Center. And Rebecca, do you have social media? or any other places that we can point people into follow you specifically. If you want to follow me specifically at Politics, Rebecca, that's the fastest way to find me. You'll see my snark. You'll see me post all sorts of stuff. But follow alone.
Starting point is 00:51:56 Thank you, Rebecca. And we will be right back with even more news. Saturday night at the pub with me mates. Chuffed eyes. Sunday mornings at home the night after having drinks. American? That's the worst. Fortunately, I've found a new product called pre-alcohol that the outdoor Gavna can take before his first cocktail that makes Sunday mornings a bit smoother for ye old American me. Zbiotics pre-alcohol probiotic drink is the world's first genetically engineered
Starting point is 00:52:29 probiotic. It was invented by PhD scientists to tackle rough mornings after drinking. Here is how it works. When you drink, alcohol gets converted into a toxic byproduct in the gut. It's a build-up of this byproduct, not dehydration that's to blame for rough days after drinking. Pre-alcohol produces an enzyme to break this byproduct down. Just remember to make pre-alcohol your first drink of the night, drink responsibly, and hydrate, and you will feel your best tomorrow. It might not stop you from losing your true, accurate British voice, but it will help you feel the difference the next day, able to tackle the world, whether you're doing
Starting point is 00:53:04 an American thing, like surfing, or a British thing, like... I know. Cueing to meet the queen. I get it. I was on the fence myself at first. But then I made pre-alcohol my first drink before settling into the beef eater Gibson's, and I was on my game the next day. Ready to enter the hot dog eating contest, or whatever it is us Americans do.
Starting point is 00:53:29 Some other eating contest. So head to zbiotics.com slash more news and use the code. More news at checkout for 15% off. That's cbiotics.com slash more news and use code more news for 15% off. Bit of the old speckled hen in it. I beans. Speaking of Bernie Marino, which you just remember 20 minutes ago when we mentioned Bernie Marino. Um, let's take into this story about his former son-in-law.
Starting point is 00:54:04 Yeah, his ex-son-in-law also happens to be. a Republican congressman from Ohio. He's running for re-election. And he's also allegedly a domestic abuser whose ex-wife, Emily Moreno, Bernie Moreno's daughter, accused him of holding a gun to her head, scalding her with hot water, breaking their two-year-old daughter's collarbone. And their two-year-old daughter would be Bernie Marino's granddaughter? Yes, correct.
Starting point is 00:54:33 Yeah, okay. among other things she has also just today filed a restraining order against Representative Max Miller. However, he is, you know, in the Republican majority in the House, and that's a pretty slim majority. So all these Republicans are keeping silent about it or at most like, well, I don't want to dig into a personal family matter. And this includes Senator Bernie Marino who saved all of his ire for Anthony Fauci Instead of his daughter's ex-husband Who allegedly is a huge piece of shit
Starting point is 00:55:14 Huge Huge violent piece of shit Fucking wild They spent the past month being like You knew people protected Graham Platner And you love people who do that kind of stuff Like well actually no he's gone now No one we haven't seen a fucking
Starting point is 00:55:30 word from that guy. And then they just like... Oh yeah. They like hypocrisy. It's just like, it's absurd. They have no, they just have no standards. They do not like, they do not care about this stuff. And even when they have like this golden opportunity for like where you can point your
Starting point is 00:55:50 finger, it's like, nope, it's just squander it because you're all pieces of shit. Even George Santos. Like I forget when it's just from like a year, a couple years ago, obviously before he had all his problems. But like, uh, Max Miller was like, like, uh, they're on the floor of Congress and he's like, and you, like, you're a crook. He's a crook. George Sanders is a crook. And George is like, yeah, you've been accused of domestic abuse. Shut the fuck up. We're all monsters. This is a very funny clip from a bad person to another bad person for different reasons.
Starting point is 00:56:23 You, sir, are a crook. I know I should direct my comments to the chair. I yield back. My colleague wants to come up here. Call me. a crook, same colleague who's accused of being a woman beater. It's all politics, right? Like, if they had a secure 25-seat majority, they probably think it's beneficial to them to get rid of them and say, oh, see, we do this right away. Exactly, yes, right? But it's, that's the only calculus. When is, would it be politically expedient to do this? And if it starts looking like they might lose this seat, like they have until August 5th to replace him on the ballot, but he, is defiant, right? He says,
Starting point is 00:57:03 he told the New York Times, Texas is turning blue like, I'm losing my seat. Take a hike. Don't bother ever contacting me again. You're disgusting. And he said, he told Spectrum News that his ex-wife, quote, sadly isn't all there. So, you know, if he was showing any signs of backing out,
Starting point is 00:57:21 maybe they would jump at it. But because he's not, they're not touching. He's just doing the Trump things. Double down. Deny, whatever. Just that's the move. Right. for him. I do want to mention this fun thing about Max Miller is that during Trump's first term,
Starting point is 00:57:36 he worked in the White House and he was called the Music Man because it was his job to put on Trump's favorite show tunes when Trump was in mad mood. He was the guy. He was the guy who did that? I'm sorry. Yeah. Man. He met. He just walking around from room to room. Or is there just, they've got speakers in every room so you can connect to this Bluetooth or whatever. I'm just so confused. I imagine. Where's the music man? Where's the music man? Bring me the music man bring me the poison it was like other people it was like like general john kelly being like can you get that guy in here to play the song from cats for the moroc he's getting worked up we need to it's so funny for that to be someone's job and then you're like
Starting point is 00:58:18 well i guess i'll be a congressman now that seems reasonable no consequences for me i'm i'm safe oh god we guys threatened uh some story about a map yeah so uh I don't know. I'm coming in cold here. I don't know what we're talking about. Yes. And I love that you're coming in cold on this. Okay. So the State Department did a presentation at a global conference in Brazil this week.
Starting point is 00:58:44 And someone leaked this photo from the presentation to Reuters because it's a graphic that says current APS funding opportunities. And it has a bunch of countries labeled in Africa. if you're listening and don't can't see this there are a bunch of nations in Africa labeled that are the wrong shape and in the wrong place so that is not where Nigeria is that is not where Mozambique is that is certainly not where Cote de Vois is
Starting point is 00:59:17 because the Ivory Coast is on the coast that's not a coast. Ivory Coast seems landlocked in this particular map this is straight up they asked Grock to put together a map of Africa and label all these things. You can see one of them in the South or in the West part of Africa is like labeled with a line going to nowhere. It's so funny.
Starting point is 00:59:40 They have they have the labels. They have labels with lines that go to countries, but some of the lines just go to dots and not the countries. And then there's this one country that's not a country that has a line that goes to a dot. And then there's something on the side that is labeled Cameroon, but that doesn't have a line or a country that corresponds. And it doesn't have a color-coded country that corresponds. So it's just like there.
Starting point is 01:00:09 And that's also like not Cameroon's like, it's close. You got close, but that's not Cameron. This is so embarrassing. It's so funny. It's beautiful. No one's spell check. I love it so much. Spell, yeah, spell check.
Starting point is 01:00:22 Any check. Takes full responsibility. Okay. State Department takes full responsibility. Yeah. Confusion caused. Okay. The map would produce by a team member who hastily changed the slide deck before the event.
Starting point is 01:00:35 Is that team member fired? I'm sure the... Not. Is that team member an app? Did that team member reference white genocide when you asked for the map? Did it say that Elon Musk has a muscular physique, an athletic build? Yet somehow. bravely still maintaining that Hitler was right wing.
Starting point is 01:00:58 Did you? Somehow it's still getting that correct. So congratulations to Grog. Did you see the thing where like someone put that photo of Elon at a swimming pool, you know, with his chest out and everything? This is barreled chested and then Grock's response. Crox response to that like, well, no, this isn't a man with an athletic build. His natural muscular physique.
Starting point is 01:01:21 I'll try to find it. So put it on speed. It is pretty good. I might have bookmarked it. Oh, good, yeah. We'll look for that. We'll see. Because this stuff would be happening if the Democrats were in charge right now.
Starting point is 01:01:33 They're definitely using AI and screwing up all the time. Yeah. But this is really embarrassing. It's so embarrassing. It's so funny. Like, it's just, it's just like, if you were to do a bit, like, oh, fake, fake map Africa, poorly labeled. Like, that's what it would be. It's so perfect.
Starting point is 01:01:54 It's like not unlike our map of the world, which is not a real map of the world. Yeah, exactly. It's a fake map. It's nonsense. It's shapes. But it is close. It's close enough. We said like, no, do a map that looks almost correct, but it's not. And they did that I love the fact that it, I mean, obviously mislabeled, that's not where that country is. That's not the shape of the country. Very, very funny. But I love that there's a shape of a country with a line that goes to a dot. Yeah. Like that is the just I mean it's beautiful It is very funny It is absolutely very there it is very funny
Starting point is 01:02:30 But it's also incredibly offensive It is Oh yeah Like why you shouldn't be doing that We're like your professionals You're supposed to be serious people Like get the fuck out of here And the fact that no one working on this
Starting point is 01:02:41 Including people at the State Department People whose kind of job it is to know geography A little bit To be like Why is the Ivory Coast In the landlocked in the middle of Right I feel like there's this this like
Starting point is 01:02:53 And, you know, everyone, like, everyone's using AI now. And it's really just, like, embarrassing and frustrating to see. But, like, even if, like, Democrats were in charge and doing this kind of stuff and, like, okay, get an AI, like, do the thing, get the map. I feel like they would have somebody check it. You have to. Like, you have to have a human being check it. Someone changed the slide deck to this right before going on. And this is the one thing.
Starting point is 01:03:21 No, you have somebody check your work and make. sure that there's not a random shape connected to a random dot that's just i don't know whatever makes me me think of the episode of brooklyn nine nine when they go to a conference and holt is really anxious about it and then they lose the laptop and mess up because they're all partying and it becomes filled with slides of like the dogs drinking beer or whatever it was and sabotage it's just like that um Wing pot. It does look like we've got.
Starting point is 01:03:58 Just real quick. It looks like we've got some images on screen. Yeah, here it is. Someone's like, hey, at Grock, why does Elon Musk's body look like this? What's the science behind it? And not attempting to body shame, but it is just very funny Grocks. And for the listeners, it is a sketch of a barrel chested man next to a picture of Elon Musk looking exactly the same. And so at first it explains what barrel chest medically means, blah, blah, blah.
Starting point is 01:04:22 but then the left drawing shows the classic version. Elon's right side photo with no apostrophe here. Interesting. Normally doesn't do that. Elon's right side photo shows a muscular torso in profile with forward chest projection. That shape comes from pectoral and upper back muscle growth through resistance training, his tall, broad frame, and normal middle age factors like posture or tissue. So, you know, a common athletic build exaggerated by the side angle and meme comparison.
Starting point is 01:04:50 This is so absurd. Grock. Grock, you're worthless. You're useless. A lot of the eye is. I still appreciate that you're saying that Hitler was right wing. Yeah. I don't, you know, take our wins when we get them.
Starting point is 01:05:04 Elon's not what Grog is. Oh, no. Elon constantly says the opposite. And then everyone's like, Grock is this true? And Grock is like, no. So we've maintained that Mecca Hitler, right wing. But, God, that's so embarrassing. Like, it is really funny.
Starting point is 01:05:23 Clearly, there's just like a compliment Elon, like a line in there somewhere. Thank you to Rebecca Carruthers for joining us today. You guys should definitely go check out Fair Election Center. Prepare. Just be... Profile. Like and subscribe. Please.
Starting point is 01:05:45 Please? Mm-hmm. We got a Patreon. And my... My laptop's about to die, so I guess that's my cue to tell everybody. What? We're in love with you. That's not the phrase.
Starting point is 01:05:59 We love you very much. Oh, gosh.
