Hi, today we talk about the federal raid on Elon Omar's home,
Pete Hegseth wanting to live stream and execution,
and James Tala Rico taking time off because he had the flu.
Or did he?
I'm not sure.
Like and subscribe.
Hello.
Welcome back to Eva More News, the first and only news podcast.
Everything's fine.
Things are going great.
I'm Katie Stoll.
That's right. Oh, yo, Gabba Ghul. How are you doing? woke up this morning. Got myself some news. What's the rumpus? I'm Cody. How's it going?
Jonathan is also here. Hi. He's back, folks. Yes. And he is pissed.
I couldn't be angrier about this situation. I just, he was, all weekend, he was like, and he didn't say this and I was going to say
that and you didn't say that.
And he's got, so this episode is just catching up on what
Jonathan was going to say last episode.
Nope.
We got news to get to.
Boy, we had a show planned and then news broke this morning.
Elon Omar had her house rated early this morning by DHS.
Jonathan, can you set us up with what we know thus far?
I've got guesses.
I've got guesses.
I've got knowledge, but I'm going to let Jonathan do his stuff.
thing. Well, right. I think we know what it's about. They're racist and don't like her.
Yeah, okay, good. Okay. I wanted to assume. Normally, I don't want to assume racism, but in their case,
I think that's safe to assume. And there is no official this is what it's about yet, but citing two
unnamed sources close to the investigation, Fox News said it's related to criminal fraud concerning
Ilan Omar's immigration paperwork, which her father filled out when her family came to the United
States when she was a child. She was 12 or 13, I think. So they're, I guess, going to try to
get her on that. So no, as far as we know, it is not about the made-up thing where she married
her brother that they keep coming back to. The thing that changes all the time and that they
have no evidence of them. And they keep trying to imply it and say it.
get her for it.
This should go without saying to our audience,
but I'm going to say it anyway.
The lie that they keep trying to perpetuate
of how she married her brother
for citizenship fraud
and whatnot is so
fucking vile and racist.
That's what they are.
xenophobic.
There's, it. And they've just been banging this drum.
Obviously, she is Somal.
and so that just plays right into the narrative.
They love being racist against Somalians.
And have been openly talking about trying to have her deported for a while now.
And I feel very confident that this doesn't go anywhere.
This is another one of his big spectacle shows of trying to prosecute the enemy.
Yeah, he wants to see if he can.
She's the easiest target, but she's not the only person in the opposition party to him, which is more and more people every day, folks.
She's just, oh, I go after her and then if I can deport this person, then I can deport anybody.
He's just getting permission, even if, I mean, we'll see, I guess, what comes of this.
I can tell you they're not going to find evidence that she married her brother.
but who knows they're sneaky i don't know well and if there was some mistake on the immigration
paperwork the the copy of that that she would have in her home today would be evidence of that
like what are you looking for what's the actual error is it a is it an easily fixed error sure
the way we all do with the paperwork and i checked to that box but i meant it's like oh i meant and then
you go in and like, oh, just do this.
We're not going to upend your entire life and, like, deport you because of people there.
And the person behind the counter might treat you like a jerk for making that mistake.
That's fine.
This is just, this is a precursor.
If you're, like, appalled by this, obviously many, many people would be.
It's, he wants to do it to so many people.
And some people you might like and some people you might not like.
and it just seems like a really, really dangerous precedent to head towards.
And he both wants to do it to her because he talks about Somali Americans a lot and how he doesn't like them.
He did a truth social rant last week where he said Minnesotans have to fight back, I think were his words.
Yeah, basically calling for essentially a race war.
He probably thinks everyone thinks the same way he does.
So it's both, I want to do it because I don't like her.
because of a race and also people will be okay with me doing it because it's like that's the
how the permission structure gets made like it's the oh no one will have a problem with me uh I'm
investigating a foreigner basically right so I want to read a sentence from the Washington Post
article about this just because I found it amusing this is in like the fifth or sixth paragraph
it says the search of Omar's home appears to be the type of action that law enforcement officials
have typically avoided so close to an election in the past.
Okay.
Very quaint of you, Washington Post, to point out to us.
Like, oh, yeah, is this abnormal?
Even if there was some sort of mistake on her paperwork from when she was a child.
She's an American.
She's lived here almost the entirety of her life.
She is a respected, elected official.
Her state chose her to represent them.
and this is just so fucking disgusting
even if there was some sort of mistake
this should not be the policy of our country
the permission structure that they're looking for
and getting something from particularly like establishment
like the liberal establishment
like well you can kind of do this is okay
we'll look the other way for this we'll do this
obviously that's not happening now
a lot of people up in arms about this obviously
this is like a long time coming
there have been years of like the house voting to
condemn Elon Omar and censure her. And in some cases, that's been a bipartisan effort.
And I just wanted to point to that as maybe something that you don't, like, don't give in early on
because you're just opening up the door for things like this in the future. If you sort of say,
like, oh, yeah, we'll condemn, we'll condemn them for this, condemn for this. And then here we are.
I know they're unrelated.
It's not like he's like, oh, these anti-Semitic comments are why we're going after her.
It's obviously about the forms, but they are related in a way, I think.
And I don't believe she was formally censured by the House.
I think Nancy Mace introduced something because she's racist, et cetera, et cetera.
And sometimes there have been like these bills where it's like we're going to condemn anti-Semitism
generally in response to specific people.
without naming the people and stuff.
In response to her and Rashida Taleb saying not anti-Semitic things.
Yes.
So, like, it's all kind of a soup and stuff.
But she's definitely been a target for many, many, many years.
Yeah.
One of the problems is that when the levers of power are in different hands,
and I'm not the only person who's made this point,
you would want the people running the investigations to investigate
who was behind this, how it happened, did instructions come from the top to raid Ilan Omar's
house, all of this stuff. And because trust in the DOJ and DHS and all of these institutions
has crumbled so much. Oh, crumbled. Crumbled so much. It is going to be impossible for those
not to look to many Americans as if it is weaponization and it's just, oh, we weaponize back and
forth now. And the problem is like, well, one side was not systemically committing crimes.
Crimes are committed from time to time and you got to investigate people and kind of kick
people out of Congress, all this stuff. But it's clear that one side is doing a lot of institutional
systemic crime right now. And we have to investigate that. You got to do that and get to the
bottom of it. And they're just going to rant nonstop about how Democrats are weaponizing
whatever institution.
Lock him up, lock her up.
Well, you said lock up was bad.
Now you're saying lock him up.
Yeah, because he did the crimes.
Lock him up.
I agree.
We do it anyway.
Yes, but it is going to be a real headache.
And some people might get cold feet because of it because they know it's going to happen.
And well, it's going to be complicated.
We got to.
Like, we need to move forward as a country.
But how do we?
How do we?
How do we?
I mean, look, we got, get cash out of there.
Get cash out of there.
Get cash.
Get cash out of there.
We've, like, kind of talked a lot about this, and I think we're going to do an episode
about this down the line of, in terms of not just, like, impeaching Trump for what, but
like investigations, democratic committees, hearings, where do you start?
And everyone's got their, like, oh, we got to start with Hegg Seth.
And it's like, yeah, got to haul him in front.
Every day you got to haul someone else in front of you and do an investigation.
and like the the shock and awe like Stephen Miller flooding the zone strategy is going to have been successful down the line because there's no way we're going to get to everything in short order.
And so do it ourselves and use it to our advantage against them and go after as many people as possible as quickly as possible and to present to the people what actually happened and who these people are and what, uh, what,
needs to be done.
Sees Trump's money, the crime assets.
He's got like, where, yeah, it's Disney.
Yeah, and it is, it is like, yeah, what, heck, Seth, there's so many, so many people
to impeach, even like, like, Duffy.
And, like, there are, like, so many people in the cabinet, uh, that are worth going
after.
And obviously, how do these investigations start?
All the investigations that have started and failed.
Uh, there have been many so far.
Some of them only failed because he became the president again.
Sure, sure.
Oh, no, I, I mean literally just like the, like, go off for.
them for mortgage fraud. Go after them for mortgage fraud. Find something. Find something over there.
Like that kind of stuff. Oh, they're investigations. But, um, Hig Seth first makes sense.
Let's talk about the firing squad. Um, we're a disgusting nation. We're shameful. Shameful.
Shameful barbarians. Yeah, the Pentagon plans to live stream the military execution of Nadal
Hassan who was a army psychiatrist who shot and killed 13 people and wounded dozens more.
This was in 2009 in Fort Hood, Texas.
He's been on death row for years, and they want to make it, one, the first military execution
in decades.
I think since the 60s, and this would be the first live, well, first live streamed ever,
but first public military execution since the 1930s.
Was it racist?
Was the one of the 30s racist?
Was it racist related?
I'm looking at it right now,
and it appears to have been extremely racist.
Extremely racist?
Okay, that's interesting.
This is so hard to wrap my mind around.
I understand, I guess,
that there are some people that consider this biblical and moral
in some capacity.
We've got some examples of people.
folks like Jack Posobic, he's just a fascist who uses religion to justify his fascism,
neo-Nazi leanings.
But yeah, that's what they view this as righteous.
If it's, you know, violence like this is encouraged, it helps with all the softies.
Got too many soft people out there.
I've never considered that a necessary punishment, and I certainly don't think that
public executions, let alone
live streaming a public execution
is good for the public in any sense of the word.
I don't think it deters anything.
Because we already know that the death penalty exists
if you do heinous crimes.
And if that's not stopping you,
having a live stream doesn't either.
In fact, in some ways,
that gives somebody all the attention in the world.
Yeah, it does give them all the attention in the world.
And they know they love giving people attention
and taking their attention.
It's really, really disgusting.
It's been kind of obvious.
This is where it's headed for a while.
Like, they've talked about this, and they've, they're, this is the world they want to live in.
They want to live in a world with public executions.
And this isn't the first time this crowd has like discussed it as something just sort of expressing like, this is what we, the world we want.
It is a little, I, I just, I can be.
believe it, it's not like surprising. It's still a little shocking. It's also, Katie, to your point,
it's not effective. You know, most people do see this to be the disgusting display of barbarism
that it is. And so we get a lot of statements from people like we shouldn't do this. It shouldn't be
live, blah, blah, blah. And here's this one quote from Representative Rob Brezahan.
An execution shouldn't be a live stream spectacle.
Agree.
The focus should be on justice for the victims and their families,
not turning an execution into entertainment.
Their pain deserves respect, not a public show.
And to your point, Katie, that's not justice.
Even, like, obviously publicly live streaming it is not justice.
But the act itself is not justice.
And there's been research on this.
We've talked about this before.
executions of perpetrators don't actually help the victim's families.
It doesn't help them feel better usually.
They don't get closure from this.
It's not actually, this isn't justice for them if you actually like look into how families
tend to feel after these sort of things.
So it's just like, it's for the victims.
It's not even for the victims.
It's just for our system that we have set up.
it's what it is. It's what every revenge movie is about that oh it doesn't make you feel better for doing
it. I do like pointing that out in our movies. Don't we? They make these decisions because of
culture war stuff. This is like a cultural. This is the world we want to live in. Hegsetth made the
announcement on Jack Posobics podcast where they talk about like manliness and culture war stuff.
So they make that decision for that reason. But then they don't consider
like the political strategy behind it because this, I don't know if there's any polls yet,
not going to be popular.
It's disgusting.
They say, like, they announced it like, oh, my, yeah, live public execution in December.
Just in time for Christmas.
Like, what, what, it's absurd.
It's, I don't understand that calculation.
I mean, I understand that they're trying to present some sort of an image of we're strong and
back to values and we're fascists.
And I want you to think of us when you think of all of the regimes around the world that do crimes against humanity.
We want to emulate that.
I understand that that's the aesthetic they're going for.
But I don't understand why they think that that plays well.
I really don't.
Even the president of the United States, Donald Trump for some reason.
He's now, I guess, waffling a little bit saying, well, I haven't made the decision.
He probably didn't know about it.
Yeah.
Or he probably...
Like, I think he says, yeah, that sounds cool.
And then he sees the reaction and then, you know, tests the waters.
Also, I feel like he doesn't think about this stuff necessarily.
Like, he, because he's got this vision of himself and of society.
And he's like, yeah, you're a big, strong guy.
And you go out and you do the executions and the public executions.
And that's what we got to do to get back to whatever.
But I feel like if he was, if you were to be like, sir, do you, if we're live streaming this, you know, like, small
children can have access to this public.
I don't know.
I feel like people, maybe not him, but like people around him do know that that's like going
to be really bad to see.
I don't think they're going to do it.
I think Heggseth just said it and then it became defense department policy.
They don't like really see that they need to contend with these things they say.
Like, oh, we like, you know, down the line, down the line when they're like, well, women can't
vote and gay people can't get married.
Like the actual like implementation, so many of them will be like, wait a second.
I know we like saying that.
I know we like talk in the big game, but like that seems bad.
I mean, there's always the chance that after the midterms, if it is a blowout and things look really bad, Trump will say, screw it.
I can do it or whatever.
Who cares anymore?
But I still think he's such an image guy.
I think Pete went a little rogue by saying it.
And I think Trump is going to, and like what, Vance tried to say, well, I'm not going to watch.
it all this stuff. No one would like very few people would watch it like right wing people and sick
by firing squad. All sorts of clowns saying you know the left loved watching Charlie Kirk get
executed and now they draw the line. Nobody liked watching Charlie Kirk get executed. You might have
different opinions on the man but that was psychologically damaging for everybody. A horror to watch.
Now let's make it 20 times worse because it's planned and not.
There's this sick circus around tuning in and watching a bunch of men fire at one person in a wheelchair.
An old man, I'm not asking you to give sympathy to the person that's being executed.
That's fucking wild.
And so fuck off with that.
Also to bring it up, to bring up the Kirk is like, so this is just about your feelings.
Retribution.
You don't really care about this.
This is your feelings.
You're just mad.
You want your little revenge.
Exactly.
Like that's, it's so transparent.
I think that we would be remiss to not at least reference that this news comes on the tales of a very, very, very botched execution attempt.
Krista Pike, who murdered a woman when she was 18, has been on death row for a long time.
And they gave her two doses of lethal injection.
and it didn't work.
That's why you do the firing squad.
Right.
No, this is why maybe we shouldn't have the death penalty.
I will die on that hill.
Well, yeah, who benefits except the ego of Pete Hegseth?
And again, as we pointed out, it would ultimately be unfulfilling and leave him empty.
Right.
It doesn't.
But for the people, again, for the people doing the killing, it's not going to fill that hole.
in your in your art.
But also, again, for the families and for the victims and for the families of the victims,
it doesn't help that either.
And speaking of the people doing the killing, already, I mean, people haven't been,
soldiers have not been selected to carry out the execution, but already soldiers are,
six have already signed up with the Military Religious Freedom Foundation to get an exemption.
You know, nobody wants to be the, nobody wants to have their child.
Low tea.
Low tea.
Low tea.
but they don't want to have their children
watch them execute someone on TV.
Yeah.
We don't want to watch people execute people on TV
on the Charlie Kirk podcast,
co-hosted by the vice president or whatever.
It puts them in a bind because ordinarily they'd say,
oh, if you don't want to carry out your orders, you're out,
but this is because of religious freedom.
Which they love.
So if there is, like,
like Christianity connected to that at all, they would have a hard time.
Hegseth is the most Christian man I've ever seen.
So actually, this public execution live streamed is pretty Christian, Jonathan.
I think, uh, well, maybe, I've seen his tattoos and he is pretty Christian.
So, well, I wonder how it'll play when they kick out dozens of soldiers for not wanting to
do the firing squad.
Like, how far are they willing to go with this?
We don't need no pink hairs in our military, all right?
Get out of here.
In an interview, I guess Hegseth called it a no-brainer.
I think he's got no-brain-thr.
That wasn't good.
Sorry.
It's okay.
It's fine.
They can't all be winners.
What they're trying to do, aside from all the stuff we said,
and they're a little like, what if it makes us feel better, like a real manly society,
Mark Wayne Mullen is referring to the president restoring American values.
And this is like, if they do this, it will change some people.
It is, it will lean our country towards something much darker.
And I really, really hope that doesn't happen because people can get whipped up into frenzies pretty easily.
And I just, I just, no, I agree.
I don't even have all the words to fully articulate what it, what I fear.
brings out in us.
But it is further,
it is at the very least putting us further down the path that we already on,
which is a desensitization,
a villainizing,
an othering of people,
a callousness,
the idea that this is somehow just or justifiable.
Desirable in any way.
And just the desensitization of towards violence is,
is a very disturbing thing that we will have to,
well, we should grapple with it anyway
because we are seeing violence on our screens all the time.
We are having a desensitization.
We have people being murdered in the streets by ICE agents.
Shot last week, just in front of a public, a school,
a man with his child in the back seat,
ICE agents firing at him.
And just the fact that there's any argument that that,
there's no argument, there's no argument for this.
I don't care if somebody has a criminal record.
You're trying to murder people in the streets in front of children.
We're cooked.
Anyway, but yeah, to live stream and execution like this?
Yeah, fuck these people.
So James Talariko, a candidate for Senate in Texas, he wasn't around on the campaign trail for almost two weeks.
His campaign says he had the flu.
Had the flu.
And we did see him at, you know, campaign rally looking very ill the day before, like looking kind of white, not feeling well.
And then his campaign says that he has the flu.
So we understand that he has the flu.
Although that alone is suspicious because why would, how people, how would he have gotten the flu on a campaign trail?
He's one of those mask guys.
And why it's not such a big deal.
the flu, it's just a flu, you know?
Which as we all know, I said just before it.
So it's like, no big deal.
You just go through with it and cough on the babies that you're holding.
It's just a plague.
It's just a plague.
Don't worry about it.
Honestly, it's a service to the country.
If you've got germs, you're obligated to spread them to get everybody's immune system.
It's called community.
Yeah, high T-suit.
Anyway, okay, so he was sick.
What happened?
Did people react normally to him being sick?
I mean, most people reacted normally, which was like, oh.
So you mean most people reacted quietly to themselves?
Or didn't know about it.
Or at all, yeah.
A bunch of right-lingers online started spreading this rumor that he was like Spencer Pratt,
who's getting in on that?
Like, my sources are, my sources, you're not a...
What source?
Spencer Pratt, my sources are telling me.
Tala Rico is in a mental health facility.
So there's been all this stuff.
Yeah, he was in some kind of mental health
or psychiatric facility
and the campaign was hiding it.
This was spreading all over the place.
And then this dude...
Unlike the flu because he was taking care of himself.
This dude, Nick Sortor,
who may have been one of the guys
with the binders during the...
I don't know if he was there for the Epstein thing.
Binders full of women?
No, yeah, he wasn't in the binders.
He suggested that he had a recording from Lindner Center of Hope in Ohio saying that Tala Rico was there.
I haven't listened to this.
If you guys want to, we can listen to this recording.
This is Nick Sortorto's like breakthrough.
This is the smoking gun type thing.
Okay.
So that's another for James Talaiko?
Well, this is what it's today.
It looks like she was just discharged this evening.
That's why I don't have it.
Oh, he was discharged then?
Mm-hmm.
Okay.
And this is the Hope.
They should be.
Okay.
I'm sorry.
This is, and I'm sure at the right, but this is Hope Lender?
Yes, uh-huh.
Okay.
And you're in Hamilton, Ohio?
No, we're not in Hamilton.
Oh.
We're in Mason.
Okay.
So that's why he's on a system.
He's been recent.
Okay.
All right.
Okay.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Bye.
This has been debunked, folks.
Well, I mean, it's also just a voice on the phone.
He's also like, oh, he's not in the system because he was just discharged.
But he's not in the system.
So that's probably why it's not there.
But how do you know if he was just discharged if he's not in the system?
Yeah, they have said that no James Talariko has been treated there.
Even one of the Krasenstein's did his recording called.
And they're like, no, this is not, this person was never here being treated.
Whatever.
And oh, oh, so the best part is, is that even though a lot of them are full speed ahead,
staying on it.
This is it.
This is the big thing that's going to save us from Paxton.
But several of the Republicans who were on this initially have since deleted their posts about it.
And this one guy, Andrew Colvitt, I love this one.
This is a, he's a Turning Point USA guy, I think.
He writes, it genuinely doesn't matter if it was a mental health hospital or the flu.
Bailing on the biggest job interview of your life by disappearing for two weeks is damning enough all by itself.
So then why make, then why would it be such a, why make such a big deal about it?
Why not just accept that he had the flu if it's such a big deal and they're not lying about it?
such a big deal.
Why hasn't that been?
Just take his statement at face value, oh, I have the flu and so I'm off the campaign trail
and be mad at that part.
Be mad at that.
He didn't disappear.
He had the flu.
Well, right.
Right.
I know.
And so alternatively you want him to spread the flu.
Is that what you're telling me?
The night that he was supposedly released or whatever, problem is, is like the day before
he'd already made his return.
the campaign. He'd already made public appearances.
It just is not true.
It doesn't matter if you see it online.
It doesn't matter if you see people talking about this being true.
It is not true.
But I see the people.
They wouldn't, they just wouldn't.
But they're talking about it.
Some random asshole that calls.
But the audio, I heard.
I mean, it's fake.
But I heard it with my real ears.
He could have lied.
But no, but you just, this wouldn't happen.
But all the people are talking about it.
The people are talking about it.
They're talking about how it happened for real.
And so now I'm...
Here's what's fun.
This is so desperate.
Yes, it is.
This is so embarrassingly desperate.
What are they desperate for?
Is the other guy not great?
They can't even...
According to their president, he looks and sounds like shit.
He does.
So I don't know.
I don't know.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, so he's the guy that every time he's anywhere near the president and the president's
campaigning for him, the president.
the president talks about how he's a shitty looking guy who dresses like shit and looks like
shit and he doesn't like him.
That's the one.
Posters of missing children and rips them down.
Unbelievable, man.
This is just so embarrassing.
I don't imagine it makes much of a difference for them at this point.
I mean, if they've got Spencer Pratt on the case, they're not doing great.
I love that Spencer Pratt tried to frame it.
Like he was all in on this conspiracy theory and then tries to frame it.
There's one tweet.
Basically, if this is true, this is a time to pray for Tala Rico.
I saw that.
You're such a fucking piece of shit.
Wait, wait, it's worse.
We should, of course, savagely mock his smug awful campaign advisor by all means.
And yes, this would be disqualifying for Tala Rico.
But we must hold empathy for any.
one undergoing crisis.
Fuck off, Spencer.
He's like the bully in middle school who bullies you by pretending to be nice to you,
like over the top.
And you're like, okay, man, go away.
He's like, no, I'm just checking on you, making sure you're okay.
You can sit with us.
Fuck off.
You don't fucking believe anything.
Fucking crystal fucking free.
I hate how we just have to hear.

As Talariko has said recently, he's never even been to Ohio.
That's okay, man.
Check it out.
We got a river.
You can see that river in other states.
Ah, but you got to see it from the north, you see.
And we got...
It borders Lake America?
Does it share a border with Lake America or no?
Which one's Lake America now?
Whichever the one on the...

God, I don't, yeah, now I don't know.
Now I don't know what anything is.
I'll just go to Google Maps and look.
Geography.

I don't think we ever talked about that, but they changed the name of Lake.
On Google Maps.
Lake Ontario became Lake America.
It does not border Ohio.
Lake Erie is still Lake Erie.
It borders Ohio.
What the hell, man.
What a waste of everybody's time.

how he makes this big stink.
And then, of course, he's horrified
because there's no press around to cover his rantings.
And now he's investigating them.
It's just...
But he kicked him out.
Yes, Cody.
Yes.
Katie, he kicked him out, though.
I know.
You should let them know.
Maybe they don't know.
I don't think they do because...

Well, because I'm...
Let me double check.
