Starting point is 00:00:00 Hi, on today's episode, we talk about the deal to make Todd Blanche, the Attorney General, truth, social, selling early access to Trump posts, plus the latest on Max Miller and how the U.S. military is all out of ideas on how to do war. Hi, hello, and welcome back to even more news. Wow, the first, the only news podcast. I'm Katie. Hi, Katie Shirt, I'm Cody's shirt. How's it going with you today? Shirt-wise. It's going shirts, shirts up, shirts down, shirts all around.
Starting point is 00:00:52 All around. Jonathan is also here. Shirts. Shirt. Also shirt. Hi. For our listeners, we had a fashion faux pa today and showed up wearing the same shirt. Does it count as a faux pa when you do it intentionally?
Starting point is 00:01:05 It would be just weird. We have news to discuss, folks. We'll start with Todd Blanche, who will be the new not acting full-time attorney general, because John Cornyn and Tom Tillis, the Republican senators who were holding out, agreed to support his nomination after Blanche wrote in writing that the slush fund, the $1.8 billion slush fund, that's out of here. And also will narrow the scope of Trump's IRS immunity. How much? We don't know. He still won't have to be audited and neither will anyone in his family but it's narrowed apparently
Starting point is 00:01:46 and Trump genuinely. That seems narrow. That seems like a narrow whittling down of the The slush fund probably isn't going away though Is that true that Donald Trump is saying There are other ways to achieve this?
Starting point is 00:02:02 Trump says we're doing it some way Oh, we'll do a bill or I mean And the word is that he's told every one in the White House. We're doing it anyway. So he still wants to pay the January Sixers money. And this was the line in the sand for Cornyn and Tillis, until he wrote, I won't do it. And now they're like, okay, great.
Starting point is 00:02:24 And no other concerns about you whatsoever. Is the idea that in perpetuity, Donald Trump and all of his family members are shielded from tax investigations? Yeah, they're the presidents. It is, it is, I just can't even wrap my mind around it. That's not even the main part of this story. We need to, we need to protect our presidents. Our presidents and our, and our presidential princes.
Starting point is 00:02:52 They're the presidents too. They're making, I mean, the kids as well are just like investing in all the stuff that they know dad's going to sell. So they're like, we can make body armor now. Just signed a great body armor contract. with these people where the money please there was that report we didn't even talk about this about how trump makes it pretty blatant he just likes telling people give me money and then they give him money and then he does the thing they want what i'm referring to is this wall street journal article from a few days ago called nine things to know about trump fundraiser meredith o' rourke
Starting point is 00:03:31 um the florida operative nicknamed the princess of darkness sends out invites to one million dollar a seat dinners and they just can send out, she sends out messages, The Boss wants this money and they make it pretty overt that he wants. Two things. Bad headline for that article. They could have made it a little more, a little better, a little more intriguing, a little more, what the point of the article is about. That was a separate article summarizing their exclusive, which was called The Boss Wants This Money inside Trump's unprecedented fundraising operation. I should have led to that. Perfect. If he wants the money, he wants the money.
Starting point is 00:04:07 They got to like, they got to do something about this guy. You know, we say that a lot, but like when midterms, if they go well, they got to do, they got to do something about this guy and his crimes and his bribes. Yeah. They need to do something about it. It's hard to hit at the scope of this because it's become so commonplace and pedestrian. Like, it just seems fine, like to so many people. it's almost mundane to hear about it now. So when we say that they are selling for $100,000 a month,
Starting point is 00:04:43 access to a truth social API so that you can get the president's truths a portion of time before everyone else gets them so they can place their bets, that seems blatantly illegal. Get rid of this guy. It is blatantly illegal, and I personally don't think that it will stand, but we shall see. I mean, everything stands.
Starting point is 00:05:04 except for him. Well, he does weirdly. He hunches. Yeah, he's got it. He leans forward oddly. It's just so like grotesquely, comically corrupt, obviously, and they got to do something about this guy. You tell that to anybody and normal people would go, wait, you have to pay to hear what the president says. Wait, you have to pay money to be the first to hear what the president says to the citizens of the country is the president of
Starting point is 00:05:37 that doesn't that's stupid that's what are you talking about someone at the White House who works for us has like is like okay we'll do the setting on your phone the president's phone that we should own right when he clicks
Starting point is 00:05:54 send it goes to all of these people first and then after five minutes it goes to the website he owns it's absurd how do you approve how do you think that's good what do you talk like what do you mean it's his it's it's also like it's like his website he owns the place he owns the place to go to listen to him talk again this is the president and then you got to pay to hear him talk first before everybody it's so stupid and and like evil evil is like a too strong a word i guess because he does so much evil stuff
Starting point is 00:06:27 actually but like it's just it's just breaking my brain and it's like it's like it's like it's like it's like you look at the Twitter stuff and we don't need to talk about Twitter but even now they're like trying to like oh we're going to get rid of the bots we're going to stop people from like doing the spam we're going to we're going to fix the website fix the website by making it so you don't pay to get your post scene like the found at foundational level like that's that's that's the problem is that well you're making people have to pay for access to the to the thing and everybody's just like, oh, I don't know you could do that. Let's all just do that.
Starting point is 00:07:04 Let's charge everybody for everything and warp it all into this gnarled, disgusting. It's just a... I mean, I obviously agree with the point you're making and how it warps everything and makes it worse, et cetera. Blatently bad, I do think it will probably not stand for long. we'll see maybe some sort of injunction for a minute to shut it down temporarily. But in the meantime, he will be making money, regardless of the access that he's trying to sell and like how people can utilize it and whether or not it's a few seconds early or an hour early or however much time people have to, you know, respond to his heads up about what's going to happen
Starting point is 00:07:51 and make money off of it. He will make money off of it. Where's the money going? selling the access and he has made so much money so far in this presidency it's but he's not accepting his salary though don't worry he's not accepting a salary yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah donate that salary but charge a hundred thousand dollars a month sure for access to that's a ridiculous it's ridiculous it is ridiculous cody you are that amount of money to like it's just what like i don't i you know what you know, right?
Starting point is 00:08:28 I mean, you know? There are people in the, like in articles about the API saying, we don't want any part of this because it's illegal for us to do it too. And at some point, laws might matter again. So we don't want any part of it. But 100% some people are under the table or without making it public doing it. Of course. Going to give it a shot.
Starting point is 00:08:53 You can make so much money so that any fine. you have to pay in 10 years is going to be negligible. He's making so much money in so many different ways. It's so hard to predict with him that even the early access that could change on a dime. Like he could say this and this moment, but then who's to say what sticks or what's real? And that's part of the grift for that Donald Trump is putting out. And he's like, yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm going to say a whole bunch of shit and people are going to pay to have early access.
Starting point is 00:09:20 And maybe they'll get some information out of it. You know, maybe not. That's valuable. But in terms of just an average person or I guess most average people aren't going to be participating, I think you've got to be pretty wealthy. You don't want to pay for access to Donald Trump's tweets to then capitalize on it. But you just don't know what to literally bank on, I guess, literally. Well, right. It creates even more weird.
Starting point is 00:09:46 He's already got these, like, obviously, like incentives to like, he loves to tweet, obviously. And he's loved to tweet for so long. He does it all the time. and you could look at Truth Social at any hour of any day. Like, oh, he posted nine times and half of it is an AI slop about how we're going to arrest Obama any day now. Like, he's just living there. And now he has even more weird incentives to just spend all of his time there, which I guess is like technically good because he's not other places doing other stuff. But just like, I don't know, just give this guy other ways to make money and he's just going to.
Starting point is 00:10:21 Yeah. I mean, one way you know that there will be. be Wall Street customers taking advantage of this is what Capital One did, which was keep to themselves the fact that in 2021 they debanked a bunch of Trump's companies because of money laundering concerns. We only found out about this now because there's an ongoing lawsuit where Trump sued them saying, oh, you only debanked me because of January 6th. This is political retaliation. And they in a filing said, no, we have our entire anti-money laundering team raise a bunch of money laundering red flags. I'm surprised this isn't a bigger story just yet, personally, like being debanked for money laundering.
Starting point is 00:11:07 The president of the United States, all of his accounts with Capital One being shut down for money laundering, that's a big deal. It's a really big deal. 380 some different accounts across him and his son Trump organization. businesses. The case centers on roughly 385 accounts tied to the Trump organization. Eric Trump and a collection of affiliated businesses, including a winery, a bottled water company, and a golf course developer that banked with Capital One for more than a decade
Starting point is 00:11:39 before they shut these down in mid-20201. But I guess thanks for letting us know now. But did you notify the FBI about this? It would have been nice to know that the president was so involved. allegedly in money laundering before oh wait wait this is 2021 yeah it would have been nice to know actually yeah before the second election
Starting point is 00:12:02 that would have been nice to know wouldn't have mattered probably but god oh they protected him they're like dudes why are you suing us we're protecting you by not telling everyone that you're a criminal that's what's making my mind roll over on itself is this their attempt to say like oh this is retaliation for
Starting point is 00:12:22 January 6th. Yes, woke Capital One. Yeah. No, they did everything right and they're fighting me. Gonna really stick it to you this amount of time later after you've been reelected. What's in your wallet? The president's hand taking your money. So he's a criminal. Yeah, do something about it. Get him out of there. Get him out of there. You know who else is a criminal and let's get him out of there? Let's talk about Max Miller some more. Oh, God. That's talking about.
Starting point is 00:12:53 Because this story really evolved, devolved over the weekend. Evil, yeah. Where do we begin, Jonathan? So do we start with some rumors? I mean, we can. Do we start with the live stream? Sounds like you want to start with the rumors. I just think that that happened right after we finished recording on Thursday.
Starting point is 00:13:18 Well, this has been known for a while. before he was elected, people were like, is this going to be an issue for him? What we're talking about is that Senator Bernie Marino, Max Miller's ex-father-law. Yeah, but it was, because there's a lot going on, Katie. So we didn't. If it's not known by me, it's not known.
Starting point is 00:13:38 But apparently, apparently Senator Bernie Marino before he was a senator, allegedly, created a account on adult friend finder looking for another gentleman to connect with. And this would probably damage him since he is married to a woman and people in Ohio voters would probably care about that kind of thing. Republican and Max Miller had hinted at least at this,
Starting point is 00:14:09 maybe releasing more information about it, should Bernie Moreno come out against him, which is why people thought that Bernie Moreno wasn't doing that. It does really seem like that is Bernie Marino, but I don't know. Oh, you're looking at the profile? I did look at it earlier, and it, you know, it seems like it might be him. Anyway, he did finally make a statement saying that Max Miller is not fit to be in Congress and he should go. I think once it became a bigger story, he felt like he had to.
Starting point is 00:14:40 Now the part of the story becomes, why isn't Bernie Marino protecting his daughter and his granddaughter? Where's your backbone? That doesn't play well with his. you know, demographics either, letting your daughter be abused. And he can always say he was doing research on the websites. You know, that's, sure. You got to look up websites. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:04 There's so many of them. Type it in and go there. Well, they used to be some of them. Max Miller posted a video doing the thing that abusers never do, alleged abusers never do, where he, he says, if I had assaulted her, would she have offered to cook me dinner six days later? And the answer is yes, because that's what, you know, like, what do we talk? Yes.
Starting point is 00:15:25 He's the father of your kid, you know, all that stuff. Yeah, it's, it's interesting that sort of weird, that, I mean, weird, the, that abuser tactic being used. I feel like ever, like so many people are like, yeah, we know now. We know. Like, enough, this has been discussed enough where everybody, I feel like everybody responded to that video. Yes. Yes. We understand how abuse works.
Starting point is 00:15:52 Even more than that. This video is, I mean, yes, I agree with you completely. But this video he puts out is truly wild. First off, he's sweating profusely. He has a pretty wild energy. He's slurrying at times. It's called The Truth Sweets. He looks really high.
Starting point is 00:16:12 He looks really high. And honestly, it's terrifying. Anybody that's been around erratic men can look at that person's face and feel it in their bones that this is not somebody to be trusted or that you I would even want to physically be in the same room as. And a lot of the stuff that he says, it's like, yes, so would she have cooked me dinner or like, you know, she's done. I'm releasing all of this, this information and stuff where she says things like, I'm really glad that we're on better terms right now. Yes, that all sounds like something a woman would do to try to placate and try to encourage a better relationship. Yes, that sounds like something somebody would say to an abuser. Yes, please don't hit me.
Starting point is 00:16:55 Please don't scald me with hot water. Please don't break my daughter's collarbone. He said it was just warm? It's just warm from the tap. Just warm. It's a hot shower. He released, I guess there's like a hard drive. This is where it gets even wilder that he claims will vindicate him.
Starting point is 00:17:13 and it's so damning some of the stuff that I've said and I've barely seen that many but just what I did see was fucking wild some recording of her talking about how he has a drug problem and how she found needles next to the bed and he doesn't deny any of it he just says no there wouldn't be needles next to the bed and yeah he laughs about it a little bit and doesn't say like what the hell right how dare you what are you what are you talking about No, it's like I wouldn't leave it next to the bed or whatever he says.
Starting point is 00:17:46 And stuff like, well, what have I ever recorded you? He's yelling at his wife on, like, when have I ever secretly recorded you as he's secretly recording the conversation? It's in the middle of a secret recording, right? It's like, what do you think that this vindicates, man? I do have a something I should say about the adult friend finder, uh, profile. The, the explanation at the time before Moreno was elected. in 2024.
Starting point is 00:18:14 A former intern, Dan Ritchie, said that in late 2008, he created the profile. He said, quote, I am thoroughly embarrassed by an aborted prank. I pulled on my friend and former boss Bernie Moreno nearly two decades ago. So, you know, maybe. Maybe the intern. Maybe that's a funny joke that he was doing. Maybe not. Odd phrasing, but whatever.
Starting point is 00:18:33 I think it should be obvious to anybody that is a fan or follower of our show that I've got nothing against that for a person to go on an adult friend finder. It's just the secrecy. It's the hypocrisy around it. It's always the hypocrisy. And a good explanation for why he might not have come to his daughter's defense. I guess they released a text message that Miller had sent Bernie Moreno, which was like, I don't want to have to release the information that I have, but I will.
Starting point is 00:19:07 If you can't get your daughter to, get your love. lying daughter under control. Put her in line. Get her in line. Totally sane. But what should happen is that man should not be serving. And he should be in a rehab facility and an anger management class.
Starting point is 00:19:26 Get him out of there. And probably have custody taken away. Get him out of there. Get all these people out of there. Get him out. Saturday night at the pub with me, mates. Chuffed I is. Sunday mornings at home the night after having drinks.
Starting point is 00:19:43 And now I'm American? That's the worst. Fortunately, I've found a new product called pre-alcohol that the outdoor Gavna can take before his first cocktail that makes Sunday mornings a bit smoother for ye old American me. Zbiotics pre-alcohol probiotic drink is the world's first genetically engineered probiotic. It was invented by PhD scientists to tackle rough mornings after drinking. Here is how it works. When you drink, alcohol gets converted into a toxic byproduct in the gut. It's a buildup of this byproduct, not dehydration that's to blame for rough days after drinking.
Starting point is 00:20:18 Pre-alcohol produces an enzyme to break this byproduct down. Just remember to make pre-alcohol your first drink of the night, drink responsibly, and hydrate, and you will feel your best tomorrow. It might not stop you from losing your true, accurate British voice, but it will help you feel the difference the next day, able to tackle the world, Whether you're doing an American thing, like surfing, or a British thing, like, I don't know. Cueing to meet the queen! I get it, I was on the fence myself at first, but then I made pre-alcohol my first drink before settling into the beef eater Gibson's,
Starting point is 00:20:54 and I was on my game the next day, ready to enter the hot dog eating contest, or whatever it is, us Americans do. Some other eating contest. So head to zbiotics.com. more news and use the code more news at checkout for 15% off. That's zbiotics.com slash more news and use code more news for 15% off. Bit of the old spickled hand in it. Oy, beans. Puff your bottles and push your throttles.
Starting point is 00:21:29 It's movie time with Pluto TV. Time for action-packed movies. And don't you skimp on the drum. Comprendi, movies that I've been assured are 100% lettuce free. That's right. No lettuce-related illnesses to mess with your movie enjoyment. Lettuce-free cyclo-flop like Top Gun Maverick. Only meat in this burrito.
Starting point is 00:21:56 Eight heads in a duffel bag, but I promise they're human heads, not lettuce. Washing isn't good enough. Cook to 165 degrees. Three weeks on the can. Bong Jo's parasite inspectors were fired. Fine by me, says the CDC. Might as well stay away from cilantro and parsley while you're at it. Diary of a wimpy kid.
Starting point is 00:22:20 The Runzing Man. Make sure you stay hydrated. Reality wipes. And, yeah, okay, sure. Transformers, Rise of the Beasts and Dungeons and Dragons. Honor among thieves. so much lettuce, free entertainment, you'll want to permanently order off the kids' menu.
Starting point is 00:22:44 Pluto TV, stream now. Pay never. Quick war update. Yeah, are we out of it? Are we in the war? How many wars? None. We did it. In the like six-weekly cycle.
Starting point is 00:23:03 I don't know how long the cycle is. in the cycle of the war, we're at the point where Trump has just threatened to really blow them up in a way that has never been seen before. And then pulled back on that and said, we're, we've got a deal. We're starting negotiations. This is it. We've got the deal. And Iran says, we don't know what you're talking about. We're not doing anything. We're not talking with you. And so that's where we are. So we're in the past? The most recent thing. as of Monday morning when we're recording this is a Trump truth social I'll pull it up here I'm not going to read the whole thing
Starting point is 00:23:41 where you can see he says Iranian leadership is unbelievably duplicitous they're begging they ask for a meeting some would say beg some would say talks begin and then they say they're not doing it he doesn't threaten more bombings here
Starting point is 00:23:56 but he does say no no they're lying we are negotiating we're in negotiations so I'm also just wanted to say good for you, Jonathan, for biting the bullet and paying that $100,000 to get access to that post. Sure, no one else has seen this yet, but we're a, you know, I did, I put it on the company card. I hope that's okay. It's fine. It's fine.
Starting point is 00:24:21 That's okay. We'll talk to our account. It's pretty highly. I mean, listen, the amount of money we're going to make through betting on. Obviously, this information is going to be. That was a true business choice. It's just going to be Is this Twitter?
Starting point is 00:24:33 Do we have to do parentheses satire Or else they'll be like, look at this transcript Look at it We pay for this But we won't pay for Twitter blue check I mean Listen, Trump will give $100,000 to I'm not giving $7 to you
Starting point is 00:24:46 I'm not that piece of shit That fucking asshole But Trump you got to pay to pay Oh you got to pay the president Come on, you help them out So that's where we are War style So where we are is back
Starting point is 00:24:58 To before Where we baby. I, I, what, okay. So Cody's internet stopped working. So Cody disappeared. And then there were two. It's just you and me, Jonathan.
Starting point is 00:25:12 We're going to finish this show. We're going to bring this show home without Cody. Okay. Well, we got it. We can do it. We got it. A couple minutes. I think you have one more thing you wanted to add to the Iran conversation.
Starting point is 00:25:24 Yeah. So a little news that came out this morning, CNN published an exclusive. it says U.S. military asks troops for creative and unconventional ideas to punish Iran. That's basically what it says. The U.S. Central Command sent out email basically to all of its military analysts. And it was like, what else you got, guys? The bombing, and then the more bombing, and then the stopping bombing, and then bombing again, didn't work. Let's crowdsource some opinions.
Starting point is 00:25:55 It's like going to Reddit and being like, hey, guys, I've got a real speed. pickle on my situation. Has anybody dealt with this before? I tried restarting my computer, but do you have any suggestions for how to end this war? Blow some air into it and try again. Just take it out and plug it. Blow some air. Did you try restarting? Did you try restarting the war? Oh, you did? You tried shutting it down and then restarting it. Here's your problem. The Pentagon wasn't plugged in the whole time. Did you did you check your your VPN? I don't know. Ad blockers. Your ad blockers. Your ad blocker. enabled because sometimes that can mess things up.
Starting point is 00:26:33 It's absurd. This is, you can't write this. We will still pretty soon, hopefully pretty soon, get back to a place where we agree to Iran's demands because we have no other options and end this war. Iran is negotiating with Oman right now about opening up a third lane through the strait that, you know, because Oman borders it as well, Iran would take a toll, all that stuff. But we're just kind of, we got this blockade and we're just, sitting there. So anyway, whatever. We'll be saying the same stuff in four weeks. Why even
Starting point is 00:27:05 why even bother spending too much time on it? It's embarrassing. Because you have to imagine they've already taken this question to AI. Oh, 100%. Someone at Open AI is seeing, what would you do in the following situation lists what's happened in the war? Please answer in 200 words or less. They've already tried that and it didn't work. So now they're just going to the OG. AI, which is everybody. Yeah. Submit your ideas here, folks. Not just negotiations, but truly listening to their concerns.
Starting point is 00:27:38 Oh, oh, do we have Cody coming back in for the very last bit? Tell me everything verbatim. What was said? What wasn't said? We talked about crowdsourcing plans to end the war from troops. Totally. We talked about how they must have already asked AI that and didn't get any answers. And so now we talked about how they should unplug it and reboot the system and start over.
Starting point is 00:28:04 Nope, didn't help. An extended bit pretending the war is the internet. All that and even more news today on even more news. One more story. One more thing I wanted to mention before we leave today is that the Michigan primary is finally here. We will finally know if Abdul Al-Said has what it takes. To crush Haley Stevens. Spoiler alert, the polling suggests yes, he does.
Starting point is 00:28:34 Does suggest that he does. But if you guys are near you, you might want to do some voter fraud and go out and cast it up. Parentheses, satire. No, if you are a legal resident and registered to vote, you should do that. Then go pay other people to vote as well. That's right. Parentheses out of it. And that's it.
Starting point is 00:29:00 All that and even more news today on the show. Like and subscribe. Leave a comment, please. Send this video to someone. I don't know. Are you supposed to share things? Let's make it. Let's go viral.
Starting point is 00:29:17 Get it out there, folks. Get out there. All that and more. Also. What? We love you very much. What?
