How are we going to, like, pump this live stream up? But of course, we scheduled it on the end of the SCOTUS session. They go out with a bang season finale, you know.

They have the big battle and then the denouement. What a season finale it's been. Yeah, now we're like, okay, I don't think they're doing anything for six months at least. I don't have to hear about them for a little bit until they retire or maybe not. I was going to say maybe not. Or maybe not. Maybe the news drops. Yeah. And then Nina Totenberg will be like, all right, everyone lay off. I was right. Okay.

Well, we should, now that we've established it, we should just quickly shout out the confusing reporting today from Nina Totenberg wrote an article and NPR saying. Well, she didn't. She didn't. No. She didn't. No. Sorry. I don't mean to...

No, no, don't be sorry. You're the evil. I don't mean to immediately fact check. But she was like leaving. And then she says that she like heard... She was like, hey, what's going on inside? It's almost over. And someone said retirement announcements.

And she says she didn't hear the S on the word announcements. And so she's like, ooh, retirement announcement. Because Sammy Lolito's retiring. And then she like called... up NPR where she works and is like post the article that we have written already in case that happens and they

went with it and then that's the article part huge blunder I blew it huge blunder immediately deleted although there have been rumblings of this potentially happening soon so it's not outside of it I guess although

isn't that interesting I don't know what the game plan would be here I mean unless they're just like, well, this is the term. This is the last term of presidents. Yeah. I mean, I think if we still plan to have like Supreme Courts doing the same thing we always have,

then Alito and Thomas and John Roberts should all strategically resign immediately, right? Because after next January, he might not have a, you know, Senate majority to be able to do anything. Correct. Although, would the Democrats probably just put through, they would not look at past precedent or any McConnell stuff, and they'd say, we'll let this complete freak. But in theory. Let's play nice. They go low, we go right here. Okay.

Exactly the same. And now we have to be like, please John Roberts don't retire because then they'll get their fifth vote to end birthright citizenship. the thing in the Constitution. So I can just talk about that. Yeah, so that's what's up first, folks. That's what we're perfect transition. No notes. So it's like we got six, three, or five to four,

or eight to one if you want to be an optimist. But at any rate, the court ruled six to three that Trump's executive order, getting rid of birthright citizenship is unconstitutional, obviously, because it says it in the 14th Amendment. It just says it. So it was. six to three, but the actual five to four thing is that Kavanaugh was like, actually, I'm not saying

this executive order should be struck down because it's unconstitutional. It should be struck down because there's a federal law against it, but it's actually up to the Supreme Court to determine what subject to the jurisdiction thereof means in the 14th Amendment, and it's been interpreted different ways in the Wong Kim-Arck case. So we could interpreted it to add all of these exceptions and then Congress could change the law. So in reality, he's a vote that that's not what it says in the Constitution, basically. And when I joked about eight to one optimistically, if you look at Gorsuch's dissent, he's like, look, I wouldn't have thrown this executive order out entirely because there's a part of it that makes sense and he thinks if you're the child of a

temporary visitor or something like that, then you should not get citizenship from being born here. But he does believe and he basically writes this out in his descent that like, well, yeah, if you're the child of someone who lives here, if this is your domicile, whether you have legal status or not, then yeah, then you should be a citizen of the United States. and even Clarence Thomas kind of hints at this in his descent, but he's very angry and all over the place. So there does seem to be some finagling here to be like, let me say what I would do, but not get the big guy mad at me.

Yeah, it's, you get the vote in, but also like, but actually, here's my little debate, like paragraph to explain, like, really what, here's what's going on. And that is not to make anyone feel better. The headline here is that for, of the nine Scotus justices do not think the 14th Amendment says what it clearly says and we can even... And that alone

should be so fucking shocking to people. But it's, I mean, it shouldn't be shocking. We know that that's what they want to do. But if you, if you, if we put this in the context of a conversation about America, hey, it's the week of the 4th of July week. It's so fucked up.

It's so fucked up how far we've come from what the, what this country should be and what it should mean. And at this many, lifetime appointed Supreme Court justices genuinely think that this should change. It's wild to me. Yeah, they're really mad about it. There we are.

Happy birthday, America. How... Are people taking it? Some of the real... I know. You think we're freaked out about it. You should see the people on the right who think this is an abomination. This is the wildest thing that's ever happened. So let's read

some of Matt Walsh. I can't school up anymore. We got DEI higher. I'll read this. Do this in Matt Walsh's voice. The actual birthright belongs to my It says the actual birthright belongs

to my children and the children of all real Americans unspecified. They have a birthright to live in a country that resembles the one our ancestors established. Very clear what he's talking about. And now that birthright, the only true birthright has been in favor of the imagined birthright of children born to parents who don't even belong in this country and who have no ancestral or cultural ties to it whatsoever. Total madness, suicide words cannot describe how evil it is.

And then the second tweet, I at least got to live for 40 years in a country that looks and functions something like America. The fact that my children are having that opportunity stolen from them fills me with rage so deep I can't describe it. I truly hate the people who have done this to us. Do you think- The calm down. He sounds hysterical. Well, I mean, counterpoint, too bad so sad, Matt. Cry harder.

He is acting like this is a new law that the Supreme Court put into place. Not the law that has been in place for 100 and... For the entirety of his life that he thinks has now dramatically changed. Well, he got to live here for four years without birthright citizenship being a part of the Constitution. Which is wild. And suddenly in 2026. right before 4th of July, they come out, the Supreme Court's like,

we're actually going to write a new law because that's our job, apparently, and here is the text of the law. Yeah, it's absurd. I mean, so many things in that tweet are like really, really absurd. Obviously, the way these people use the word evil is a little silly.

To describe what he was describing as evil, you can disagree with it if you feel the need to. But evil, I don't know about that, buddy. Hyperbolic. How do you want it to resemble? Like, what have they taken from you? What do you mean, like, cult?

They have no place here. How do you know that? They have no culture. Like, how do you know that? What are you talking about? And, like, there's no way to drill down. No respect for the flag. Oh, yeah, yeah.

There's no way to drill down into what, like, he means. Like, take away all the, like, legal stuff. You're like, okay, you think the, the, the, legal decision was bad, but what about this affects you? Why don't you like it? You know, he's coming up with examples. I think he has a tweet where it's like, oh, a Guatemalan woman can run across the border, a deliverer, then that kid's a U.S. citizen. And like, so? I don't understand how that impacts you. Right. And furthermore, I know the answer to what I'm about to say, but I'm going to say it anyway. I thought they cared very much about our declining birth rates.

I thought that was a very scary reality for them is that people, right, I know, I know, it just depends on what people are having babies, I know. I understand, but if we're just talking about it, like you would think you'd be welcome. More people, more people for your workforce, more people to pay taxes as they grow up. No, but they're takers, you see.

They can only take them. and then they take all of the free stuff we give them. My favorite, my favorite from somebody, it doesn't matter. I'm sure we've seen versions of what I'm about to say. The idea that people are coming here just to have their babies, and then they're going to go home, but those babies will be able to vote for Democrats. That's, I, you know, like, in decades.

They can vote that they don't get to have their absentee ballots. Give me a fucking break, dude. I don't know if you want to go to that tweet, though, that first tweet that you were just at, this one. And I just think this is, I think scrolling down and just sort of, like, you can keep, you know, you didn't even skip, you can skip.

I can't see it. Just keep going. Oh, this old tweet from Ben. Oh, I'm sorry the Constitution is happening to you. Oh, I'm sorry the Constitution has happened to you. Oh, I'm sorry the Constitution is happening. Was this the Dobbs decision or something else? It's got to be.

Or, I mean, yeah, I don't remember what it was at the time. It could have been when... It's not about the vaccine. I don't know. It doesn't matter, but everybody is aware of it. I could look it up, not going to. It doesn't matter now. Right now.

What happened on 532? Political leaked a draft majority opinion written by Justice Samuel Alito, revealing that the U.S. Supreme Court had privately voted to strike down Roe v. Wade and overturned constitutional abortion rights. It's just like this was not a thing until very recently. Their push to make birthright citizenship the next thing on their list, since they're like, oh, shit, we had some successes here, and we spent decades and decades, what's next?

And now their thing is upending the way citizenship works, and I guess trying to cobble together some kind of makeshift citizenship rules. I don't know how you would do it otherwise, or what their proposition is they don't care. Right? It's not like the people they don't like wouldn't be here anymore, or they'd be easier to deport, I guess, but they just want to deport. You're just deporting 10 times as many babies.

Is that the plan? Yes, that is what they want. I mean, it's all stems from Stephen Miller, like even talking about it, right? Like, he's the one leading the charge rhetorically about this. And then everyone sort of caught on. I was like, oh, I guess we're going to be mad about this. And with this decision, now they're all just sort of talking about, like,

oh, what can we do? Well, get rid of these people. Get rid of these people. Do this, do this, do this. and then the birth rights citizenship won't matter because there'll be nobody here. So they're just going to use this as an excuse to crack down even more.

Yeah. And, you know, the problem is now that they've seen how close they are, I don't know if they knew that they would have four votes this way. And so now there's going to be like tremendous, I think there's tremendous pressure on the Democrat side to like, figure something out.

We have to be like strategic. If there's a Democratic president in 2029, Sotomayor and Kagan cannot wait anymore. And, you know, they have to strategically retire to be replaced and then hope that

something, that they've got a few more spots. So that because if Roberts goes away, you know, you're a John Roberts stroke away right now from birthright citizenship being gone. and these other five weirdos trying to piece together their rules for it.

Yeah. Trump, for his part, seems to think that there is now like something Congress can do even though. Legislative solution to this. That is what they're going to try to do for sure. Well, because he was initially he was just sort of like, well, it is what it is.

Like the chips fall as they may. But yeah, it's very clear he's like, well, we'll just fix it in Congress. but it's unclear he doesn't specify. I don't think in the truth that he truthed. I can't. But I know.

Post, just call it a post. Okay. But it's so stupid. But it's a truth. Think that, like, there were, there were five votes that say firmly, like, this is what it says in the 14th Amendment, straight up, right? Right, well, they're just like, we'll make a law that says that birth rights, citizenship, isn't the law, the law, the last. but then like but but the Supreme Court said it is so like that's just going to yeah like what do you I mean I also think like he was he's very happy about the slaughter case

obviously he can fire whoever he wants he can completely remake there's no civil service anymore there's certainly no deep state you can just get rid of really unfortunate for some reason for that by the way except for the slaughter it really is it keeps setting me back a bit yeah but like his let me go to his slop website right here and see if I can. Oh, no ads. Interesting. Usually there's like four ads before you get to an actual. Is that the passport? I have to get a new passport and I really don't want to because just in case. Is that on purpose? Yeah, I mean, I think... The first time I saw the stupid thing and then it was kind of very striking that he's just like, me, I'm actually the one in front of the thing. I hate him so much. At Torin, two shreds,

says he confused it with a visa, which sounds right. Yeah. That sounds right. Those are very different things, though. Extremely different things. Like what he talks about a size. He's fast and loose with language than the president of ours.

He also deleted or edited. I guess he may have editing powers on Truth Social because he was talking about the slaughter case and how, oh, it overturned Humphrey's executor and he did change it because this did originally say Franklin Delanoor Roosevelt. A minor thing. He's the president.

He's the president. He's like, well, there's Eleanor Roosevelt. Eleanor Roosevelt. Oh, I wonder what her name was originally. That's funny. No, he's, like, been celebrating, like, this is overturning a hundred years of precedent. Isn't that great?

Really? But anyway, he's so happy about that. He's kind of letting the court, he's not going after them the way a lot of the Republicans are online. The Republican Party was treated very fairly by the United States Supreme Court. So he's happy. Yeah.

In that post. There's also this weird thing. where he thought that he's like putting a fake gold eagle on the on the white house this thing wait i missed this so he's he's got this post a golden gift to the white house for his 250th birthday year uh this isn't there it's just this is so weird why posted it all why i don't know why say that why maybe he thinks it's there like they probably they told them right like he doesn't give a shit and he's like all i need to do is go outside and look up, but the last time

I did that I got yelled at, not supposed to look up up. He said, don't look up. I burned my eyeballs. Don't look at it. I've burned my eyeballs. Don't look at it. I know this has already been talked about so much. There are so many different shades and hues of gold and finishes and why does he choose? And I know that this isn't real, that image we just saw as in real, but a lot of the images we see are real.

And they are always, always the trashiest shade of gold. I like gold as like an accent color of but not what they have it looks like it's been spray painted with the spray paint can and honestly probably has much of it has you have to assume he likes painting over stuff

I hire that's only slightly better than Katanji. It's interesting because obviously they're so obsessed with, they talk about trans people all the time. It's like their thing, the thing that they know like, oh yeah, here, we'll this, you love when we talk about this, don't we? I've seen so many people today being like, why is everyone like, you're celebrating this about trans athletes, but like this is the problem. Like they're pointing to birthright citizenship is like this is what we cared about the most. we don't care about this anymore. Except what have you been talking about for the last 10 years exclusively? They're very upset that anyone is being like, oh, we got this and oh, it's sorry about

birthright citizenship. They're just very confused about what they're supposed to care about and what they think are like the real problems in America. Well, I can go through that one. Real bummer. Very expected, but it doesn't make it any. easier to see yeah so um the court allowed state bans on trans women and girls from competing in sports to stand in idaho and west virginia it was not sorry to interject but it's literally no no not

at all it's specifically trans women and girls doesn't go both ways yeah yeah well because this is all about a competitive advantage and fairness you see um so i don't think they'd be happy about the inverse happening. But no, this is specifically about trans women and girls competing in women and girls' sports in those two states, but I think there's a couple of other dozen states that have similar laws like this. So, you know, this one was especially disappointing because it was six to three, the usual makeup that it doesn't violate the equal protection clause, but it was nine to nothing that the bands don't violate Title IX because of some language, you know, the language of sex being used

versus the language of gender, that kind of thing. So Kavanaugh in his ruling says that the court should interpret the original meanings of the Equal Protection Clause to not discriminate based on sex, which has the same meaning, he says as it did in the 1970s. And he argues that you have to take into account safety and competitive fairness in rendering judgment of the laws and Sotomayor picked up on this and points out that the plaintiff in the West Virginia case underwent gender affirming treatment and never experienced male puberty which would seem to shut down the argument that she would have had a competitive

advantage over cisgender girls we've talked a lot in the past about the studies showing that many trans women don't have competitive advantages for various reasons HRT and this kind of thing. So, just to be mean to people. That's what it is. They don't like trans people and want to hurt them. And it sucks. But again, specifically trans women, trans girls.

Right. I only, I point that out because they don't seem to care very much about trans men, if at all, you know? I mean, I... As Christopher Gray points out, trans guys used to being erased. Yeah, I think they... They don't like anyone. I was about to say they don't like any trans people.

They don't like anyone, really. These guys really hate people. And so they want to find ways to take the most vulnerable among us and batter them down even more. You know, and it's like, right, like they did this to, it's like a election wedge issue for them. It was always political theater. If you drill down into it, they're talking about some conception, this idea that they have that they've been given from their little media ecosystem. system. They've never met a trans person or if they did, they didn't know. They didn't know because it's just another woman. It's another man. And they've been told to care and they spent so much

time pretending to care. You just have to see it through. But reminder that this affects such a small percentage of people. This was so unnecessary, such an unnecessary hullabaloo. Yeah, they get like a culture war victory, I guess. But it's like real people's lives that they're playing with. And also, this will affect, as we say over and over, this affects everyone. This will affect cisgender girls as well because who's having their pants inspected and by who. I mean, that's part of it too. They hate women.

So they want to have more control over women in any way possible. It's another way to try and insult a woman to try and bring her down a peg of some capacity. You see it happen all the time now. You know, with athletes that maybe doesn't traditionally look a certain way, fit into a certain box, you know, screaming about, have they done DNA testing, like check their hormones? It's so nasty. And, yeah, it does have implicated. The very few people are specifically affected by this law, but a lot of people are affected by the conversation around trans people in general.

The last point I wanted to make was they get this win, and they don't care about it. They don't actually care about the win. They're so incensed by this birthright citizenship ruling. And that should say it all, man. That should just show exactly how much they care. hair about they're mad that people are pointing us out as like a win. They're like

no the thing that's just you've just Matt you made a whole fucking movie trying to make fun of trans women but you don't care okay good to know good to know you don't actually care that's the right attitude I mean it's like it's one of those things where you know

they get their little fixations and then you hope it's just a fixation excuse me I'm a little under the weather in case you haven't been able to hear you know you hope it's fixation so that they'll move on to something else and that they won't keep like badgering the same vulnerable group of people over and over again for decades and it's just like trans people are being put through the ringer for you know forever but like in particular in the last decade with the with the Trump administrations um and the culture war like fixating on them like obsessively

like it's weird how much they fixated uh upon them in the run up to uh the 2020 24 election. I guess it's like a clever little thing, but I actually don't think the Kamala's not for you. She's for they, them ad was all that impactful. Right? Like I think it's just kind of like,

oh, look at that. They're like, the libs hate this. I think that's what it's about. And I don't think anyone who's like on the fence is swayed. No. No, they're not. They're not.

It just is, I talk to plenty of people. I know everyone loves it when I talk about it. But they'll care about it. in the confines of a general conversation, but that's not what's making anybody vote one way or another. And most people genuinely are like, you know what, I don't understand. Maybe they don't understand, but let people live their life.

Great. That's what most people think. Yeah. Wild times, guys. Bummer. Campaign finance. Oh, yeah. More that sucks.

And then there's that. So this was another six to three that Kavanaugh got to write. as well or someone on his team, I don't know. But they struck down this law from after Watergate that limited how much money political parties can spend on behalf of candidates saying it violates the First Amendment. And now there's really no limit to how much the parties can spend. So even though there's still like a limit to how much you can donate to a candidate or to a presidential candidate, there's no limit to how much the party can spend.

So you can do a max $7,000 donation to the Trump 2024 campaign, or I guess the Trump 20208 campaign or Vance 20208 campaign or whatever it ends up being, but then do a whatever donation to the RNC and then they can distribute that money and really goose things for their candidate. This is going to help Republicans because billionaires like them more. They do. So Elon can just give as much money as he wants to the RNC. bad for our country.

Like, yeah, sure, helps Republicans. I mean, not yeah, sure. It does. Or incentivizes the Democrats to become even more in the pocket of big industries than they already are. It just is one more nail in the coffin of what I consider freedom. A healthy democracy. Like, the inherent principles. Let's bring it.

back to Fourth of July theme, y'all, of what it is to be an American, of what it is that we were sold or told is the promise of a democracy. And speaks to how out of touch

or not even out of touch. They don't give a fuck. They don't give a fuck about what people want. It's not like they're like, oh, people want this, but we don't understand real people's like, no, this is entrenches them more. More, more opportunity for corporations to buy our elections, for lobbyists, for whomever, foreign influence, to, yeah,

take the power away from citizens. Cool. Very, very fucking cool. There's also... Citizens unite. Citizens unite. Yeah, this is just further, obviously, expanding citizens united. I saw someone writing about this today, and I can't remember who said it.

Sorry. but the idea that, you know, all the rights we have are, like, distributed equally. Like, we all have free speech. But if money is free speech, then some people have a lot more free speech than other people do. And no other amendments really work that way. You can't get, like, I'm super immune to unlawful searches and seizures. But Elon Musk just gets so much more free speech than the rest of us do in terms of speech too political. campaigns

I hope so. I hope that I would have unlearned some things. But it's really weird.

Each year it gets a little bit harder and staler feeling as we approach this holiday because I feel so bitter. The vision of America that's being put forth is so at odds with what I think of it. And while also taking into consideration the dark, our dark history, just unequivocally horrific things that we have done, there's still the promise of what it could be. And there's so many people that share our same values and ethics. And so it's interesting to me, yeah, where we are right now. And I'm just curious how people out there, you guys at home,

how do you feel about the Fourth of July? Do you avoid celebrations altogether? Do you put your feelings aside and say like, hey, I want to have a beer and a fireworks display? Do you use it as an opportunity to have conversations with people? I don't know. I don't know how other people approach it. I mean, you can also, you know, you can still just enjoy the holiday, getting a day off. We love that.

of people sort of coming together and being like yeah we got you know we're a happy birthday fucking shit country whatever it is I saw this post from somebody about the original planning because originally there was something called I believe America 250

that was going to do this this. It was, so I just jump in and say that America 250 as a concept started getting planned in 2016. I believe before Trump was. Right. It's like, Congress created this and the fund, whatever. So go ahead, Cody.

It was going to be like a celebration that maybe wasn't like branded with like MAGA and gold all the time and everywhere. But there's this post about some of what they were planning. I wanted to read it. Somebody worked at the Smithsonian because they did America 250 and then Trump was like, no, Freedom 250. It's mine.

It's about freedom, which is to say it's about me. Freedom for corporations to donate unlimited amounts of money to my campaign. Yeah. I worked at Smithsonian specifically raising money for 250th. What I want people to know is we secured millions of private philanthropy

to host a month-long folk life festival on the mall. The festival, the festival, Festival of Festivals was going to feature well-known festivals. Think Burning Man, Farm Aid, Grandal Opsprey. Ossprey. Ophrey. Grandal Ophrey. As well as smaller local and regional festivals from across the U.S. and territories.

Goal was to feature truly the best and most beautiful creative expression in music, dance, arts, and craft traditions, food, community, etc. Can't name names, the plan was to have headliners every night for free concerts, types of names who might be affiliated with the aforementioned large festivals. Stars were willing to perform because it was under the banner of the Smithsonian. It had to all be scrapped because the administration

would not release permits to host on the mall. The money went elsewhere and so on and so forth. And it's just very clear like, well, yeah, there was going to be like a uniting festival that was like a celebration. Like, you know how we all go to festivals in our different regions of America? What if we put them all together?

Like, oh my God, that's cool. Look at that. That sounds incredible. Cool. And there is still some America 250 stuff going on completely separately from Freedom 250 and the two groups are just not talking. They're just like feuding celebrations. Like there is a July 4th benefit show at the L.A. Memorial Coliseum this weekend with

like smashing pumpkins, Chris Stapleton, Shaka Khan, Queen Latifah. And it has nothing to do with Trump. It is not Trump coded anyway. I don't think. Tickets are available for $17.76. so everyone can do that thing. And, uh, but then there's the Freedom 250, which is, which is this huge, which is the great American state fair happening on the national mall that was starting with the big concert.

I mean, as devastating as you can imagine, and they, continued doing rescue efforts for days because they kept finding people alive under under the rubble but obviously it's now that they are starting to lose hope and call off searches this this one i wanted to bring up NASA estimates 59,000 buildings destroyer damage unfathomable you can't even really imagine and so it's like just one of these moments where like a natural disaster

hits and then you wish we weren't in a position of having made situations around the world so much worse. You know, we talked about it how we didn't know how USAID responses might have helped in this effort. I also think the situation was much different. I think back in the Haiti earthquake in 2010, I think that disaster broke records in terms of fundraising and donations to NGOs. And then there were certain NGOs that had like scandals about misappropriating those funds. And I feel like people are so overwhelmed right now that it's a lot harder to be like, we all have to come together to help this thing. But this is just one of those like so overwhelmingly bleak things that I hope people don't

lose their sense of humanity given, yeah. Right. I agree with you completely. I will add to it that some of this online fundraising seemed very novel at a point in time, but right now it's relied upon for every emergency, every health crisis. You know, we all know people that have started GoFundMe's or different sorts of fundraisers to help them through their own personal crises. and it's just so fundamentally broken

that we can't rely on our government to help in any sort of a real way and we need to rely on the kindness of strangers to get us through. And there's something beautiful about the fact that so many people are open-hearted and want to help. And I'll bring it back to America again.

That's what I love about a lot of America, a lot of Americans. is this idea of wanting to help or wanting to do better or, you know, improve things. Live up to. Yeah, they keep imbueing this show with a little bit of that reminder that there's a lot of us out there that are good. But when something like this happens, yeah, it's just so bleak that we need to rally together and show our support and do what we can. to help people that have lost everything, especially when our government is doing their best

to make everything worse. Kidnap. Kidnap. And bomb nation and aid, not even for like these disasters that happen, but for like altogether. We talked about this on the show last week, I guess. But just the Elon Musk of it,

the doge of it all. And he's, boy, he's still been on one with that. He's very upset that there are names. Who was it that brought receipts? Somebody. I mean, Nicholas Christoph had that story from a year ago. And so he kept bringing up the names because it started with Elon being like, well, they can't name one person.

And then it's like, well, we can actually name many people who were like legitimately dead because of you. And then they shifted, him and his fanboys shifted to actually, it makes no moral sense to say that if you don't help someone, you're not inviting thousands of homeless people into your home. And then it has to be pointed out to them over and over. Like, well, if you have been giving a certain amount of aid and providing treatment and then you take it away all of a sudden

with no shifting responsibility, no lead up. It's just like, here's your medicine and now it's gone. Then, yeah, I think you are morally responsible. for what happens. You absolutely are. No, no time to try to find alternate funding, to try to fill the void, to do anything. It's just blanket cutting of all money that happened.

Yeah, it happened like overnight. Yeah. And, you know, in a lot of cases, it's like, yeah, you're doing, you're like, okay, you're on life support. Well, I'm actually going to unplug it, and it's not my fault that it's not doing its job anymore. Or even, like, I saw people complain. about, like, I think one of the people who died was from, they died from, I think, HIV,

lack of medicine in Sudan, I think. And be like, well, why are we even doing that? It's like, well, I mean, first of all, we're all connected and we clearly would, like, want people to get the medication they need and survive. But also, like, 20 years ago, we blew up their, like, medical factory and said it was because they had like chemical weapons and we just like blew up how they make medicine.

So there are a lot of things that we do abroad that maybe warrants us helping them out a little bit more. Katie, you seem very shocked at something that just happened. Sorry, I'm sorry.

Oh, sure. Briefly. Yeah. So the background real quick on this, I'll share this. The House and the Senate passed a bipartisan housing bill. It never happens. And it does a whole bunch of different stuff. It prevents large funds from buying up a bunch of single family homes.

It tries to do some abundance stuff, right? Like clear red tape and make housing. This is like Tim Scott and Elizabeth Warren. This is a bipartisan thing. This is going to be a big win, the biggest housing bill in a long. time and then Trump decided well he's not going to sign it until the Save America Act gets done he wants to basically hold the government hostage until his me win elections bill uh gets passed and so he got asked about this in the White House the other day uh these are two clips uh stitched

together but we'll do these and uh all right 720 p all right yeah come on we want to see that disgusting hand what are your plans for the housing bill mr president are you I don't know. I think it's so unimportant by compared to the Save America Act. Will you sign that housing bill? I have that. It hasn't been sent to me yet. It's coming, I understand.

And then I'll make it. Here's what I would like to sign. Much more than a bill that, big deal. It's a yon. Some people say, it's wonderful. To me, compared to the Save America Act, just about everything is a big. Yon.

throwing it around. He's like, all he wants to do is be on TV and ask questions on TV. This pressing of him to pass this save act, which. is largely just making it really a lot more complicated and harder to vote, you know, requiring a certain thing, just universally making it harder to vote in lots of just little ways. And, but thinking about it, it's a press voter turnout across the board for Democrats and conservatives. I don't, I think part of the reason it's not, well, first off,

I think it would be wildly unpopular. but I don't think it's a given that that buys elections for them. I mean, it's not good either way, but right. I do think enough Republicans are worried that a lot of people have to drive a far distance. Right. Yeah. It's harder in rural places. Who's likely to have a passport, like, you know,

suburban, like wealthy urbanites who are probably not voting for you, right? Like, it's not good. Like a lot of people get disenfranchised across the board, across the board. Which is bad morally. So, but I, yeah,

right, I'm not convinced that it'll like 100% help them, but still, he thinks it's like, this is, this is it,

man. This is my last ditch effort to, boy, he seems, never lose. Exhausted. The most tired man in the world.
