Starting point is 00:00:27 Our government's efficient for if we consider that astrists agree on one point, these objects are real space vehicles, extraterrestrial origin, and not an illusion of the mind. There's nothing to hide at all. Welcome to somewhere in the live stream. I'm your host, Ryan Sprague, and yeah, we're going to have fun one tonight. How's everyone doing? I saw Grant is here all the way from Australia. Jeffries here, Kurt, Robert, biologist. Doug Sprague is here. Welcome, guys.
Starting point is 00:01:43 All the regulars, good to see you guys. Thank you so much for being here. Tonight, as we break down all the latest space and UFO-related news with you guys tonight. Oh, man, we have a lot to cover. A lot to a lot to cover. You know, every week, Suzanne and I come together after these things on like a Monday or Tuesday, and we're like, oh, man, nothing really going on. What the heck are we going to talk about?
Starting point is 00:02:07 And then by Sunday, we have plenty. to talk about. And we definitely do tonight some really exciting space stories for you guys, which is going to be cool. And then a couple other things we're going to be discussing in the UFO world as well. But before we do any of that, guys, please take just a moment to hit that like button here on the video and subscribe if you're not here on YouTube as well. We would certainly appreciate that. Now, with the Somewhere in the Sky's podcast, I want to take just a moment before we get to the news, guys, to read a couple of our most recent Apple podcast reviews. And I'm going to start doing this. I'm going to start shouting you guys out on the shows when you put in your Apple podcast reviews.
Starting point is 00:02:55 So here we go. I'm so excited. I always forget to breathe. Our first one here comes from Mercantile on Apple. I've been listening for a while. Great podcast. Great guests. Ryan is very passionate about this subject. Five stars. Thank you. I try to be as passionate as I can because I love what I do, baby. Our next one comes from CyberCalc 3,000. I love that name. Ryan delivers the latest and greatest news and updates on the phenomenon,
Starting point is 00:03:24 informative and entertaining. Be sure to hit that subscribe button. So thank you, CyberCalt 3,000. Next up we have Beavion, a fun journey through the past and present of the unknown hosted by someone who's an enthusiasm for this topic is contagious. Thank you, guys. Thank you so much for those reviews.
Starting point is 00:03:45 Very, very kind of you. And yeah, if you can, please head on over to Apple Podcasts and leave a rating and review, guys. It really truly helps us to grow, to find new listeners, all of that good stuff. You can rate the show on Spotify as well. You have that option over there. I don't think you can leave reviews,
Starting point is 00:04:03 but you can definitely rate the show. Just go to your Spotify. feed for somewhere in the skies. Click those three little dots at the top there. And there should be an option to rate the show there. And that's it. That's it for asking for ratings and reviews and all that other stuff. The last thing I have to share with you guys is over on our Patreon feed,
Starting point is 00:04:25 we just completely overhauled our entire tiers over there. So new rewards, new benefits. Yeah, that was exciting. I'm trying to do a lot more over there on Patreon for all of you who support me over there monthly. So we're doing a bunch of hangouts now. We've got a live chat going there. We've got the Discord where you guys can talk with me whenever,
Starting point is 00:04:51 whenever we hop into these chats. And you can recommend stuff that we talk about on the show, guest suggestions, ask guests questions in our future episodes as well. All of that stuff is available over on Patreon. as well. And a new perk we're offering is, now some of you may know, I write over on Medium. I have a Medium page where I write a ton of UFO articles, and I am cranking them out. I've been writing like crazy lately, and I love it. I love it. Stretching my research muscles again. But Medium is Paywall.
Starting point is 00:05:26 So the option for you is if you head on over to Patreon, you get all of my Medium articles for free. So head on over to patreon.com slash somewhere skies. And you can read all of my latest articles that I'm dropping over there as well. We've got some really cool ones coming up. I'm covering the Koyami UFO crash that happened on the border of the U.S. in Mexico. We've got one coming out on a Russian UFO crash where material was found and analyzed and tested. And we have images of those materials in the article coming up for you as well. That and so much more. The coin helicopter UFO event, we're covering that as well with some very rare footage from the United Nations General Assembly on UFOs that took place back in the 70s.
Starting point is 00:06:18 Jacques Valet was there. Jay Allen Heinek. The prime minister of Granada was there too. It was crazy. And we were able to obtain some very rare footage of that that we included in that article as well. So again, if you do want to read any of those articles for free, all you've got to do is go over to Patreon and help us out monthly. Tears go from $1, $5, $10, and upwards from there with different benefits. So patreon.com slash some more skies. I know a lot of you are skipping right through all of this when this is up in the archives and on the podcast, but I promise that's it. We're going to get to the news with you guys right now. And our first story of the night.
Starting point is 00:07:05 This is pretty cool. The headline comes from Sytech Daily. Scientists are rethinking how to detect alien life by focusing on planets vastly different from Earth. So, you know, we always think of looking for life elsewhere in the universe according to our planet. You know, what life is habitable, how it is habitable on our planet. how life is sustained at our planet. So we look for those earth-like qualities in other planets. But NASA is now switching things up, changing things up with the James Webb Telescope.
Starting point is 00:07:44 So let me go ahead and read from this article here. NASA's scientists are now taking a different approach to searching for alien life, rather than looking for familiar biosignatures like oxygen. They're investigating methyl halides, gases produced by microbes on Earth that could be more easily detected in the thick hydrogen atmosphere of high-sean planets. And if you're like me, guys, you had to look up what a high-sean planet is, and I did just that. I'll get to that in just a minute. High-seeing planets are basically yeah, planets that can have things that are, you know, that would necessarily allow life
Starting point is 00:08:27 to thrive elsewhere unlike on Earth. So, for instance, oxygen is a big thing we have on our planet. We need it to live, to breathe. But other planets don't, and not everything needs to live off of oxygen. So there you go. So the James Webb Telescope could spot these gases in just hours, they say, making the search for ET life more efficient than ever.
Starting point is 00:08:53 And in a recent astrophysical journal, researchers from the University of California, Riverside, highlight a group of gases that could serve as potential biosignatures. These gases known as methyl halides might be detectable in the atmosphere of exoplanets, planets beyond our solar system using the James Webb Telescope. They will search for Heistening planets, a type of exoplanet characterized by a hydrogen-rich atmosphere and a water-ocean-covered surface. So a good example of a watery planet.
Starting point is 00:09:30 is this new one that we've detected called K218B in exoplanet. And they are looking very closely at this planet for this new sort of biosignature in life. And we've got a pretty cool video here that kind of goes more in depth about K218B and what they're looking there for in order to see if there's any sort of alien life there. So I'm going to go ahead and play this for you guys. And yeah, we'll keep going with some more space news. James Webb Space Telescope has uncovered yet another mystery. This time on the distant exoplanet K218B.
Starting point is 00:10:10 Located 120 light years away in the constellation Leo, this sub-Neptune world has captured the attention of scientists with new atmospheric data that could strengthen the case for extraterrestrial life. One of the most intriguing findings, the lower than expected levels of ammonia in K-218b's atmosphere. Based on current models, ammonia should be present in high amounts, but its absence raises big questions. Could ultraviolet radiation from the planet's red dwarf star be breaking it down?
Starting point is 00:10:42 Or is ammonia dissolving into a hidden ocean beneath the planet's dense, hydrogen-rich atmosphere? If such an ocean exists, it could be unlike anything we've seen, perhaps supporting alien biochemistry, another possibility, life itself. I'm sorry, guys, I have to interrupt. Does it not sound like David Attenborough? I don't think it is, but I'm loving it. On earth, some microbes consume ammonia as part of their metabolic processes.
Starting point is 00:11:12 While it's too early to make that claim about K-218B, the missing ammonia is an interesting clue in the search for biosignatures. But that's not all. JWST detected large amounts of methane and carbon dioxide in the air. atmosphere, another potential indicator of biological activity. On Earth, methane is often linked to life. Microorganisms called methanogens produce it in extreme environments like deep-sea hydrothermal vents and frozen permafrost. Could similar organisms exist on K-218B? If so, they'd be unlike
Starting point is 00:11:46 anything found on Earth. Instead of relying on water and oxygen, these life forms might metabolize methane and hydrocarbons. Their cell structures could be adapted to extreme cold, using liquid methane or ethane instead of water as a biological solvent. Some theories even suggest the possibility of larger, more complex methane-based organisms, a prospect that remains highly speculative yet fascinating. Despite these compelling discoveries, scientists remain cautious. More observations are needed to confirm these atmospheric signatures, including further spectral analysis, from JWST's MIRI instrument in 2025.
Starting point is 00:12:27 Researchers will look for additional evidence of biosignatures, such as dimethyl sulfide, a compound linked to biological activity on Earth. K218B challenges our understanding of habitability. With its thick hydrogen-rich atmosphere, potential subsurface ocean, and strange atmospheric chemistry, it offers a glimpse into the possibility
Starting point is 00:12:50 of life far beyond our solar system. solar system. So cool. How awesome is that? What you drink in this week, son? Doug Sprague says, of course I'm drinking something, my man. I've got old jock scotch ale tonight,
Starting point is 00:13:11 straight from Scotland. So cheers. Cheers to you guys. I've already poured it. It's in the glass. Look at that. Look at how ambery and carmally that looks. Let's give it a try.
Starting point is 00:13:29 Oh, that is good. That's what I think an exoplanet tastes like. What do you guys think of this? Waterworld, someone said in the chat. I love it. So cool. The fact that the James Webb Telescope can now look at exoplanets and look for almost, you know,
Starting point is 00:13:57 looking for oxygen is hard because it's invisible as a gas, you know. as a compound and all that. Is it a compound? Me, don't science very good. Me also math, no good. All that being said, there are certain gases and things that might not, you know, thrive on our planet
Starting point is 00:14:19 that they can look for as a biosignature on these exoplanets. And it could be a hell of a lot easier than looking for what is on our planet and help sustain life here. They can look for other things on other planets. It is the simplest way to put it. And they can do it within hours.
Starting point is 00:14:41 That is just mind-boggling to me. We're going to find it, guys. Any day now. Any day now. I thought that was a pretty cool story to start with. So yeah, yeah. What are you guys drinking? What's everyone drinking tonight?
Starting point is 00:14:54 Let me know in the chat. I'm drinking instant coffee, Pat. Says, nothing wrong with that, man. Nothing wrong with that at all. That's big in the UK, I've noticed. The whole instant coffee. thing. When I first moved here, it's all I could find in the grocery stores. And I was freaking out. I'm like, where's like coffee? Where do I get actual coffee? Not instant coffee. And it took me months to
Starting point is 00:15:20 actually find it. And then I couldn't find an actual coffee maker anywhere in the UK. So I had to like special order one. Everything's espresso here. Espresso machines, you know, cappuccino, Lates, Flat whites, Americanos. But I like me just a big mug of coffee every morning like the American I am. A cup of Joe, as it were. So, yeah, I just got a new coffee machine the other day. Wow, tangent. Some are in the tangent tonight.
Starting point is 00:15:53 Twinnings tea, I'll work, Lope. Classy. Doug Sprague's drinking H2O. Is that a new type of beer? Doug Sprague, H2O? It's got to be. It's got to be. I'm guessing Labat makes it. Maybe Moulson, possibly Budweiser.
Starting point is 00:16:10 Budweiser H2O. That sounds right. Cheers. H2O baby water world exoplanets. Love it. Let's find that life. Let's move to our next space story, guys. And this is an exciting one.
Starting point is 00:16:32 So happy. Look at these happy faces. They're back. They made it home. Our stranded astronauts are home. NASA astronauts Sunita Sunni Williams and Barry Butch Wilmore embarked on a mission aboard Boeing Starliner spacecraft on June 5th of 2024,
Starting point is 00:16:57 initially planned as an eight-day journey to the International Space Station. However, shortly after docking, the Starliner experienced technical issues, including helium leaks and thruster malfunctions, rendering it unsafe for the return. That brief mission turned into a nine-month stay aboard the ISS. They returned on March 18th. And we have footage of that return of them landing in the ocean,
Starting point is 00:17:29 of them getting out. So exciting. I'm going to go ahead and play this news clip for you guys. I believe this is from Good Morning America in the states. And let's learn a little bit more about their safe return and what comes next for these very, very happy
Starting point is 00:17:47 earthlings back on their home planet. A scene here off the coast of Florida, a clean re-entry into the atmosphere and a splashdown that gave us dancing dolphins. The crew came out of the capsule with the biggest smiles on their faces this morning. They're waking up in Houston, Texas, getting ready to reunite with their family.
Starting point is 00:18:07 police. And splash down, crew nine back on Earth. NASA astronaut Sonny Williams and Butch Wilmore finally touching down back on Earth after an unplanned nine months stay in space. Nick, Alex, Butch, Sunny, on behalf of SpaceX, welcome home. Moments earlier, the SpaceX Dragon capsule deploying parachutes, floating the crew down safely, landing off the coast of Florida at 557 Tuesday, evening. The astronauts welcomed by a pot of dolphins before being lifted onto a recovery vessel. The crew all smiling and waving as they are assisted one by one out of the capsule, reacclamating to Earth's gravity. The crew's doing great. You know, they'll spend a little time on the recovery ship getting checked out. Undog sequence commanded. The members of crew nine,
Starting point is 00:18:57 Commander Nick Haig, Cosmonaut Alexander Gorbinov, along with Sunny and Butch, undocking from the International Space Station early Tuesday. Three and stolen home. 17 hours later, these first images captured by mission control for Blitz and Sunny, a long-awaited return. After the original eight-day stopover mission turned into a 286-day ordeal, due to technical issues with a Boeing Starliner, which was sent back without them in September. We've had opportunities to do all sorts of science, spacewalks. It's varied and pretty awesome, actually, opportunity to do something different every single day. Sunny breaking the record for the most spacewalking time by a woman at 62 hours and six minutes.
Starting point is 00:19:41 The crew now undergoing medical evaluations eager to reunite with their families. We're all excited. We're waiting for her. And NASA as well as the medical teams are still evaluating that crew this morning, making sure they're safe and healthy before reuniting with their family members. The timing on that is still up in the air, but we expect that to happen within the next day or two. and after everything that they've been through, especially Sonny and Butch, after that nine-month ordeal,
Starting point is 00:20:09 NASA has promised them some much-needed time off, guys. Well-deserved. Yeah, I would say so, well-deserved. Wow. I'm very thankful. They made it back down. I'm just a conspiracy guy, and I don't believe they're telling us
Starting point is 00:20:26 everything that happened, Kurt says. Interesting. What do you think happened up there, Kurt? I'm curious to know. Someone said I would want a good burger after coming back. Yep, I'll work low pay said that. I want to know what you guys think. What would you want?
Starting point is 00:20:45 What's the first thing you would want when you got back after a nine month, almost an eight and a half month, extra stay in space? Time off, cash them in. Joseph, I know they are getting a healthy compensation. Um, that is discussed, has been discussed in certain articles and news outlets. Um, so that's good. Um, and well needed time off. Lucy, an apology, right? That's, oh, man, that's a good one. That's a good one. Um, someone also mentioned that they, they were experiencing problems, uh, coming back. Yeah. I mean, you would, you would think that after nine months in space, like, there are definitely going to be some health issues. and physiological effects to happen.
Starting point is 00:21:37 I mean, the fact that you, you're in a non-gravitical atmosphere for that long, not an atmosphere, not even, there's no gravity on the space station. So, like, you're not using your muscles as much for anything. There's no restriction stopping things and whatnot. So obviously, your bone density is going to change your muscle mass, I'm sure, is going to drastically change. You know, when they got out, they, as you can see in this image here, they're in like wheelchairs, basically, because they, I'm sure they're going to have to learn how to really walk
Starting point is 00:22:15 again on earth with gravity. I'm sure there will be a lot of health effects after this. And, you know, things we'll know about, things we won't know about. But this is the risky take. And they just look so happy. and they were doing their job, and they would probably do it again. I don't know if I would, but amazing.
Starting point is 00:22:42 I'm so happy for them that they finally made it home. So a good story. A good story about stranded astronauts making it back to Earth, but I hate to do this, guys. We're going to have some emotional whiplash for you next. Stranded in space is one thing, and coming back, but being stranded in the Antarctic and not getting rescued when something goes terribly, terribly wrong. Sounds like a horror movie, right? Sounds like the thing. John Carpenter's the thing. Well, it actually kind of happened.
Starting point is 00:23:22 This comes to us from the BBC. Scientists trapped in Antarctica plead for help as violence. breaks out. This is a scary one. So a group of South African scientists has pleaded for help, saying they are trapped in an isolated base on a cliff edge in Antarctica with a team member who has become violent.
Starting point is 00:23:52 Oh, man. This is not good. This is not good. Let's watch this video from BBC, and we'll talk a little bit more about this. unfortunate story. The team of research scientists working in the Antarctic have reportedly made a desperate appeal for help after they say a colleague threatened to kill one of them.
Starting point is 00:24:14 The South African team are totally isolated at the remote research base, thousands of miles from South Africa. Winter is fast approaching and that means it will be months before the team can be changed. Here's our climate correspondent Justin Rollett. The Sun-Eye base is one of the most remote places. on earth. Ten people were preparing to spend the Antarctic winter here. The base has plenty of amenities as this video tour taken four years ago shows.
Starting point is 00:24:45 And here we have the game's room, right, where all the fun happens. But extreme weather and 24-hour darkness meant the current team didn't expect to see another human being for six months or so. Now today, the wind's about 30 knots and the temperature is about minus 28 minus 29. Then, an email last week claimed that had been a violent attack, according to the South African newspapers.
Starting point is 00:25:14 The email reportedly said one team member had threatened to kill another, creating it, said, an environment of fear and intimidation. The South African authorities have confirmed there was an assault. It was a dispute over a weather-dependent task that required a schedule change, they said. It doesn't sound much, but those who've spent time in Antarctica say overwintering on a base can be an incredibly intense experience. If you're there with just, you know, maybe 10 other people as they were in Sunai,
Starting point is 00:25:49 you get to know everything about the other person. You know exactly how they put their coffee cup down, on what direction the handle points in. You know that they scratch their nose three times before they sit down. You know everything about them. And in the bad circumstances, it can start to irritate you. The South African Environment Ministry has said it is responding with utmost urgency, but with temperatures falling and the weather worsening as the Antarctic winter draws in,
Starting point is 00:26:17 getting a rescue team in will be very challenging. I mean, again, almost like the astronauts, like these scientists, they know, I shouldn't say they know. they prepare physically, mentally, psychologically, which is the same thing, Ryan, for missions like this, where anything can happen, right? But when it comes to a team member who becomes unruly, who might have had some sort of psychotic break or cabin fever, as someone in the chat mentioned, and there's an assault and a threat on people's lives, that's scary. And the fact that they can't get anyone in there to like come resolve this externally or investigated even is it's troubling. It's troubling to say the least. And just looking at this base, again, on the side of this cliff with like below freezing temperatures and no hope of anyone coming to like save them, help them is just downright terrifying. So, I hate this. I hate hearing this.
Starting point is 00:27:34 The assailant reportedly issued death threats and engaged in sexual harassment, fostering an environment of fear and intimidation among colleagues. Given the station's remote location and the onset of harsh Antarctic winter, immediate evacuation is unfeasible, like they mentioned. And the alleged perpetrator has expressed remorse, issued a former apology, and is cooperating with ongoing investigation. So that's good. That's an update right there. But authorities continue to monitor the team's well-being, emphasizing a zero-tolerance policy for misconduct in such extreme environment. So hopefully we have a happy ending to this. I believe in another article I read that the sexual harassment slash assault was investigated and internally with the team and the person who first brought that forward.
Starting point is 00:28:35 And they did resolve that issue and came to find that the claim was not actually what it turned out to be. So that's good too. That's good, too. Let's hope that this is all taken care of and resolved. And let's hope that these guys can get out of there as soon as possible and get some new people in there. We don't need a sequel to the thing. We got a horrible sequel to the thing. Some of you probably saw it in the early 2000s. We don't want a third one. Please. Please, please, please.
Starting point is 00:29:10 All work low pay. They should have had like a brig in place like that for scenarios like this. Yeah. Yeah, agreed. Joseph says a lot of crazy experiments going on out there. Uh-huh. So many different countries have their own scientific, like, places like this out there doing really interesting stuff that probably none of us will ever know about. You know, Russia's got a base out there, the U.S., Canada, China, everyone.
Starting point is 00:29:40 It's free game. It's a free game up there in that circle. so I don't know. I don't know. But keep it classy and stay safe, South Africans, please. I would be too busy being cold, Lord Boss says. Same, man. Keep me in front of the fireplace.
Starting point is 00:29:59 I love that. Wishing the best for them, Kurt says, agreed. Agreed, agreed, agreed. Don't end up like Wilford Brimley. I know, man. That was so disturbing. And, oh, man, the thing is one of my favorite movies. We did an official review of the thing.
Starting point is 00:30:15 John Carpenter is the thing here on the channel. So you guys, if you go back into our videos playlist and search for the thing, you'll see a review that Andrew Sanford, Nick Westemeyer, and myself did on that. Oh, man. We just praised the heck out of that movie. But we don't want it to happen in real life. Or do we? Crazy story.
Starting point is 00:30:38 Let's get to another fun story. We're finally getting into UFOs. I promise, I promise. This is cool. The headline of this comes from Fox 56 in Carbondale in the U.S. in Pennsylvania. Filmmakers showcase local history in a new documentary on Carbondale UFO sighting. So if you're watching this on YouTube, we've got some images here, a couple headlines, and then you see that investigator on the right there.
Starting point is 00:31:11 That is Heather Taddy. who's been on the show several times in the past. I had the pleasure of working with Heather on a television show, Mysteries Decoded. So you guys can watch a watch-along we did of Mysteries Decoded this past week right here on the channel. We did a watch-along of my Phoenix Lights episode. But Heather did a really interesting episode on underground alien bases. So I got to chat with her a little bit about that.
Starting point is 00:31:39 Talk to her about her other show that she did, the UFO Highway. a couple of years ago. She's a great friend, great colleague, and she recently was filming a documentary in Carbondale about this case
Starting point is 00:31:53 that happened back in 1974. So I'm going to read a little bit about this, and then we're going to watch a local news segment on the documentary being made. So the Carbondale UFO incident occurred on November 9th,
Starting point is 00:32:06 1974 in Carbondale, Pennsylvania. When three teenage boys reported seeing a glowing object fall from the sky and land in a pond. The object was said to emit a strange light and produce bubbles in the water, prompting the boys to alert local authorities. Police, firemen, and even military personnel responded, sealing off the area. Speculation quickly spread that it was a crashed UFO, especially as the pond was cordoned off for several days and divers were brought in to investigate.
Starting point is 00:32:42 Wow. Sounds a lot like the Shag Harbor UFO incident, doesn't it? Interesting, interesting. But let's go ahead, guys, and watch a quick video about the documentary being made. I think Heather's actually in it. So let's give that a watch. I got to share screen it because it wasn't downloadable. So give me just a moment here. And we'll give that a play. A decades old mystery is coming back to life in Carbondale where a new documentary is revisiting one of the most talked about UFO sightings in NEPA history. The film, Fire and the Pondon just started production, and it's already bringing renewed attention to the 1974 siding that put Carbondale on the paranormal map. Fox 56 is Elizabeth Hacis is live with more on the project. Elizabeth. 50 years ago, a glowing fireball reportedly fell into a pond in carbon.
Starting point is 00:33:42 Now, a new documentary is taking a fresh look at this mystery, and it's all being filmed right here in NEPA. For decades, the Carbondale UFO sighting has been debated. What really fell into Silt Pond that night in 1974? The new film, Fire in the Pond, is exploring that question, mixing documentary and narrative storytelling to bring the legend back to life. Paranormal researcher and documentary and Heather Tattie is leading the investigation and says not all the evidence adds, up. The eyewitness accounts aren't matching what was reported in the police documents. So just trying to match things up and just really get to the bottom of like what happened here. But even if the truth is never fully uncovered, Taddy says the story itself is worth sharing. It's great because it's raising awareness for a big event that happened here, you know, and now there's a festival every year,
Starting point is 00:34:34 so raising awareness for that. And even if it was just a railroad lantern, it's, it's something fun and it's, you know, teaching people about the history of the area. Producer Bob Savinkas says the project isn't just about uncovering the truth. It's also about showcasing local talent. We have a lot of great talent in our area, and it gives us a great opportunity to showcase that talent by making films in our area. So many times I hear people say, oh, we have to travel outside the area to Philly and New York and everything, but no, we can make it, and we are making movies here in our area.
Starting point is 00:35:01 And they're doing it in a unique way, blending real history with creative storytelling. We are making a unique project in that it's a documentary, mockumentary. narrative film. So it's a hybrid of media. So I think we're going to tell that story, the historical aspect of it, and then turn it into a narrative story. So we're going to entertain, but we're also going to educate people. Whether you believe in UFOs or not, Fire in the Pondon is expected to premiere in November just in time for the Carbon Dalyan Festival. Awesome. Awesome. Awesome. So I can't wait. I hope that all of us can see this documentary. I'm super excited about it. I think it's going to be pretty cool. A little bit more about the case,
Starting point is 00:35:43 guys. After several days of mystery and media coverage, officials recovered the object. You ready for this? It was an old, burned out railroad lantern. Authority said the incident was either a hoax or a misidentified object. Despite the explanation, many locals and UFO enthusiasts remain skeptical, citing the secrecy and official presence as signs of a UFO cover-up. The Carbondale UFO became one of the more well-known small-town UFO stories of the 1970s, with some still believing something more unusual happened that night. Womp, womp, womp. Okay, the important thing here is that we don't know for sure.
Starting point is 00:36:38 could have been a hoax, could have been something else. They did recover a lantern, so it most likely was just that. However, it's the curiosity and the intrigue that fueled this small town of Carbondale to now have a festival every year celebrating this event. And I am all for that. You look at any small town that embraces their paranormal hotspots, their UFO hotspots, cryptids, it really helps.
Starting point is 00:37:09 It helps these towns, these communities. And it gives them something to be proud of. So let's not take that from them. I'm sure the documentary will cover the entire hoax aspect, but also leave it open to interpretation, as many in this town probably do themselves. So yeah, yeah. I'm looking forward to November and hopefully being able to see that.
Starting point is 00:37:35 We'll try to get Heather. on to talk all about it as well. Kexburg is an interesting case. All work low pace says absolutely. Yeah, yeah, that's another good one out of Pennsylvania for sure. I've been meaning to do a full episode on Kexburg. I started writing it. I got to get back to it.
Starting point is 00:37:53 Kurt says, sorry, I missed that. It's coming out in November. If it's on my birthday, I'll start getting spooked. Nice. That's a good birthday present. Thank you, Suzanne. Also, guys, shout out to Suzanne. She's going to be coming in.
Starting point is 00:38:06 bit later to talk about the JFK file release that just happened and an update on the David Grush lawsuit and his new appointment as a staff member of a congressman can't believe it 2025 baby things are getting crazy okay is that it for this one oh no we have one more story I got one more story for you guys before we take a little break somewhere in the courtroom. Gareth says, I love it. I love it. Also, thank you so much, James Craig, for the $10 super chat. Loving the new microphone, Ryan.
Starting point is 00:38:48 Thank you. I couldn't have done it without you guys. So thank you. Thank you so much, James Craig. Truly do appreciate that. I keep hitting my desk too. Sorry if you guys can hear that. So our next story is interesting.
Starting point is 00:39:02 Now, love them or hate them, Enigma is a, app where you can upload your UFO videos and they compile all of these. They analyze them. They try to explain them. And it's basically like a repository for UFO videos. There's been a lot of talk and speculation that this is like government funded and they're all doing it to like get everyone's UFO files and take it from it or that this is just a data mining app. where, you know, they find out where you are, where you're taking your videos. You have to input, like, information when you submit these to the app and they're getting your data and all this. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:39:49 I know nothing about Enigma or how they work or anything behind the scenes. But they did come out with a story recently through Alejandro Rojas, who works for Enigma Labs, formerly of Open Minds. I'm I'm pretty good friends with Alejandro. You know, we don't talk every day or anything, but we've talked in the past. I don't know anything about his work with Enigma. So again, I can't pretend to have any insight into that or what's going on over there. He hasn't shared anything about it. All this being said, they came up with their top five UFO videos of 2024.
Starting point is 00:40:31 So I thought it'd be cool, guys, to go through these videos quick with you guys. and get your thoughts on them. You think these are any good? You think these really deserve to be top five? Well, Enigma Labs thought so. So let's go ahead and give these a look. The following segment was video heavy, so we'd suggest heading over to the Somewhere in the Sky's YouTube channel
Starting point is 00:40:55 and watching this segment over there. Just look for the March 23rd live stream where Ryan goes through each of the top five Enigma Labs UFO videos. After that, you can head back over here to continue listening. And while you're there, be sure to like and subscribe. And now back to the podcast. Welcome back, guys, to somewhere in the live stream. I forgot the name of my own show for a minute.
Starting point is 00:41:21 I apologize. We got a lot more to discuss, so we're not really going to waste any more time. But if you are just joining us, we're covering all the latest space-related and UFO news here. And we've got some more. But before we do that, I want to once again thank James Craig and new super chatter. Todd Casey. Thank you so much, guys, for the super chats. Rock on Ryan.
Starting point is 00:41:46 Todd says really do appreciate that, guys. All right. What's next? Guys, remember the Cosford UFO incident that happened in the UK? Well, Nick Pope does because he investigated it. That's right. It is Pope power, baby. We're going to be talking about the 32-year anniversary of the Cossford UFO wave of 1993
Starting point is 00:42:12 that happened this month, the month of March. It happened about a week from now. So I figured we would cover it tonight with you guys. So for those who may not be familiar with the Cossford UFO incident, it occurred on the night of March 30th, 1993, and is one of the most notable UFO sightings in the UK. Witnesses across southwest England and Wales reported seeing a large triangular-shaped object flying silently at a low altitude. The object was described as moving quickly with bright lights and in some cases it caused physical effects such as electrical interference.
Starting point is 00:42:54 Reports came from multiple locations, but a particularly significant one came from RAF Cossford, a Royal Air Force Base, which gave the incident its name. Nick Pope investigated the case at the time for the Ministry of Defense. And I'm actually going to play a clip, guys, of an interview with Nick Pope, where he talks about his investigation of the famous Cossford UFO case, you know, sort of walking us through what it was, what he personally investigated with it, and kind of where it stands on the case now, some 32 years later. So let's go ahead and give this clip a watch, and we'll talk a little bit more about Cossford on the other side. A wave of sightings that took place over a series of period of about, I think, eight hours.
Starting point is 00:43:48 No, pardon me, six hours, approximately six hours. Secondly, it involved multiple different locations all around the UK, but many of the witnesses were police and military personnel. and in particular two Air Force bases, bases in the Midlands, Cossford and Shorebury. Lots of the reports involved huge triangular-shaped craft, which seemed to be capable of moving
Starting point is 00:44:15 from a very slow speed or a hover to very high max speeds in an instant with no sonic boom. We had that. We had a patrol of Royal Air Force police officers, soared at R.F. Cossford. The meteorological officer.
Starting point is 00:44:32 saw it at R.A.F. Shawbury. He saw a narrow beam of light come down at the ground, tracking backwards and forwards. He heard an unpleasant, low-frequency humming sound that he said he could feel reverberating through his body as well as hear it. I've heard that from some of the other witnesses. And this was, I mean, when I talked to this last witness that I'm talking about, he said to me the following morning when I interviewed him, he said, Nick, I've been in the Air Force eight years. I see and hear fast jets, attack helicopters, whatever, almost every day. It's kind of like my job. He said, I've never seen anything like this before in my life. And it clearly unnerved him and unnerved a number of the other police and military witnesses. And there's a
Starting point is 00:45:25 declassified file on it at the National Archives, which I opened. And people can follow some of the story in there. And there have been a couple of TV documentaries about it. Really interesting case. And of course, there's not much middle ground with a sighting like that. We found a cluster of sightings that are about 10 past 1 in the morning. We're attributable to the reentry into the Earth's atmosphere of a Russian rocket. But there was one other really spooky thing about this case, and I couldn't quite put my finger on it at first.
Starting point is 00:46:04 I realized at the back of my mind, while I was doing the investigation, I thought there's something odd about the date. Something, you know, I couldn't quite figure it. And then two or three weeks later, after the investigation had wound down, after the diplomatic aspects of this, had won. wound down because we'd been talking to the US government about this. Firstly, to check that they weren't testing some sort of prototype aircraft, but secondly, because they were having sightings of their own and they were asking us about our sightings. But when everything wound down, I realized what it was. And it was the fact that these sightings happened late on March 30th and in the early hours of
Starting point is 00:46:51 March 31st, 1993. Well, on that exact. same night three years earlier, a very similar UFO had entered Belgian airspace, had been tracked on Belgian national radar and on the NATO integrated radar network. The Belgians had actually scrambled two F-16 fighters to intercept this craft. They'd locked onto it with their airborne radars. And yeah, as I say, it was only only a little later that I realized, well, it's the exact same night of the year, but three years on. What did that mean? We didn't know. But it was interesting. In all my defense career, I was taught, don't believe in coincidences. Don't believe in coincidences, Nick Pope says, interesting. That's interesting. I didn't know that the
Starting point is 00:47:52 Cosford event happened the same time as the Belgian triangle. That's crazy. That never even dawned on me. Wow. This thing was just coasting everywhere, right? All across Europe, dang. B2 stealth stink says, could be. Nobody truly knows.
Starting point is 00:48:11 I talked to Nick Cook, sat down and interviewed him for like two hours for an article I wrote about Black Triangles. It was not a podcast. didn't air, but it was a private conversation we had about certain elements of defense work that he had done and researched. And I wanted to interview him all about the black triangles. And this case did come up during our conversation. And it's a good one. It's a really good case. And Nick Pope was there front and center working for the MOD at their UFO desk. I know that's
Starting point is 00:48:48 extremely contentious for many people who don't believe he actually. did anything that he was just a you know a pencil pusher or whatnot um i don't know i've met nick uh several times i've had beers with the guy um i should say one beer because he was completely shit faced after about two sips of beer but that's a story for another time um someone did ask me are you friends with nick pope ryan uh have you met nick and are you guys close friends despite his politics. I wouldn't say were close friends were friendly acquaintances. I've never like, you know, other than like at events where we've, like I said,
Starting point is 00:49:35 had two sub-sabir together. I do not clearly have the same politics as Nick Pope at all. I don't think we could be any further on that topic. However, UFOs is one topic that he and I can agree on that it needs to continue to be studied and that we got to keep pushing for answers to a lot of this stuff. So if there's one thing we can agree on, it's that and basically nothing else. But yeah, I thought it would be cool to celebrate the 32nd anniversary of the Cossford UFO. FO wave with you guys here.
Starting point is 00:50:20 And that was an interesting clip. There's an interesting clip. Huge thank you to Nisa. Welcome, making the donuts tonight. Hope this helps. Anything helps, Nisa. Thank you. Thank you so much.
Starting point is 00:50:32 Truly do appreciate that. As always. Thank you for being here. As always as well. You the best. You all are. Thank you guys. Thanks for watching tonight.
Starting point is 00:50:44 I truly do appreciate it. Hit that like button for me. If you can, would truly appreciate that. If you're watching on YouTube, if you're listening to this on the podcast in the future, make sure to subscribe and rate and review on Apple. We would truly appreciate that as well. I'd like to hear that story, Ryan. The biologist says, someday, someday, my friend.
Starting point is 00:51:13 UFOs are bipartisan, baby. All work low pay says, uh, to an extent. to an extent. We'll get to that. Who's ready for some JFK talk? You guys ready? Let's go there. So this past week,
Starting point is 00:51:35 under the auspices of the President of the United States of America, we received 80,000 pages of documents in relation to the JFK assassination. 80,000 pages. Wow. But did anything new come to light? Did we crack the case? The conspiracy. That's for you guys to decide. I will highlight some of the things that I found notable about the release of these files. John Greenwald over at the Black Vault has done an incredible feat, an incredible job of putting all of these documents in one place and made them searchable,
Starting point is 00:52:33 which the United States government in the National Archives refused to do themselves. Lazy bastards. But John Greenwald did it. I put a link in the show notes for you guys, where you can go to John's site. and look at the documents. They're searchable. They're itemized.
Starting point is 00:52:54 He has done an incredible job with that. So thank you, John Greenwald. But let's watch a quick video from News Nation. Actually, no, I think this isn't News Nation. I think it's actually ABC News or one of the major news outlets about the release of these files a little bit more about it. And then I'm going to list off the highlights from this. And we will bring in our wonderful moderator, Suzanne, for that as well.
Starting point is 00:53:21 Go ahead and give this a watch and yeah, we'll get all JFK on your asses on the other side. Archives a short time ago released thousands of new pages of declassified records related to President John F. Kennedy's assassination. President Trump announced the impending release last night, causing attorneys within the Justice Department to stay up all night to assist with the declassification process. Now, this is a small tranche from the more than six million. pages of records in the National Archives collection. The majority have already been declassified over the years and are available online. Joining us now from Washington is ABC's Terry Moran. Terry, great to see you. So within days of coming into office, President Trump said he would declassify these documents. Are we expecting to learn anything that would question what was already established by the Warren Commission report? Stephanie, the short answer is no. The Warren Commission concluded that Lee Oswald was the long.
Starting point is 00:54:21 gunman and killed President Kennedy in a fit of anger and rage and his own darkness. And that has, for all the speculation and all the tantalizing clues in that amazing movie by Oliver Stone, JFK, suggesting wider conspiracies, all these documents really haven't. These were documents that had been withheld, 80,000 them. Our team is still going through them, so we could find a bombshell. But right now what we're mostly seeing, and the CIA didn't want to release some of this, is the surveillance. The CIA was surveilling Lee Harvey Oswald on his trips to Mexico. He was in Finland.
Starting point is 00:55:00 He was only 24 when he was killed. So he got around. He had defected to Russia. There were a lot of reasons that the FBI and the CIA were following him. And the CIA never told the FBI or the Secret Service about him. And that was a problem, then tried to cover that up for a year. So there's malfeasance in government. But is there another shooter?
Starting point is 00:55:19 Is there a puppeteer who was manipulating Lee Oswald? At this point, there's no additional evidence of that at all. It looks like he was a very familiar American figure, a young, broken, lonely man whose life was coming apart who had dreams of glory and a gun. That is a powerful blood way to end that clip. Oh, right. Was he the lone gun? Gunman, guys, what do you think? Warren Commission thought so.
Starting point is 00:55:51 These files seem to lead to that, but there were, now a lot of people are saying nothing new came out of these, this release of files. And while that may be true to an extent, it's all up to perception of your knowledge
Starting point is 00:56:07 of the JFK assassination, of your thoughts, theories about it, and what was actually brought forward in these documents. So, What were the highlights about it? Let's bring Suzanne in, because I want to get her thoughts on this as we go through what I personally thought were some of the highlights. And I'd like to get her thoughts as well on this.
Starting point is 00:56:31 So yeah, yeah, let's bring her in. Behaving the chat, guys. She'll be back in a little bit. But I'm going to steal her from you for a little bit as we cover this story and the David Grush one. All right. Here we go. Hello, hello. How are you?
Starting point is 00:56:46 I'm good. How are you? I'm hanging in there. Good. Yeah. Good. There we go. I'm trying to get our screen.
Starting point is 00:56:54 There they are. Are you home now? You've been traveling. You've been all over the close. Oh, my gosh. You've been everywhere, but we are finally at the Santa Fe House. And I'm down for a while. Good, good.
Starting point is 00:57:05 Time to relax. You're going to relax why I head out. I know. Back to Canada next week. So that's a good time for a little warning to the group that we're probably going to have some disruptions in the last. live streams on Sunday, but we'll try to keep it to a minimum. We'll see.
Starting point is 00:57:22 We'll see what happens. Like I said, guys, we try to do it every week. But, you know, when I'm traveling, when you're traveling, it does get a little difficult to sink our times and make these things happen. But we will keep you guys posted throughout the week on social media and on YouTube and in the Discord and everything in between. But okay, so 80,000 pages released on this, Suzanne. And a lot of people, a lot of experts, historians, JFK assassination, quote unquote, experts and conspiracy theorists say, this didn't, like, where's the smoking gun? Like, we didn't figure out who the other shooters were. Did the CIA kill him?
Starting point is 00:58:03 Was it, you know, the mafia? What's going on? And all of it sort of leads back to Oswald, as it always has. But there were some interesting tidbits that I found in all of this. But have you had a chance at all to look through, sift through any of this stuff? And before you answer that, what are your thoughts on the JFK assassination? Was this something like myself that you always thought about? It was always like UFO adjacent in a way.
Starting point is 00:58:37 It was like one of those big secrets and conspiracies that has been kept alive throughout the decades because of the uncertainty about it. So prong A of question, what are your thoughts on JFK in the assassination? And prong B, did anything surprise you with the 80,000 pages that I know you went through with a fine tooth comb and are making an Excel spreadsheet? I wish I could force myself to do that. I'm bling to report this one time. There is no spreadsheet yet. Okay. But, and I do think there were a couple of interesting things.
Starting point is 00:59:13 nothing that would support the position that there was another shooter or a bigger conspiracy. I think it is UFO adjacent because this topic, just like UFOs, seems to be awaiting a truth telling by government. Now, just like with the UFO topic, I don't think it's likely to happen. I did find it interesting, and I want to hear what you thought about all the little negative marks clicking off against the CIA. He clearly did not trust them. And they were clearly all up in Oswald's business, you know, earlier. And I guess maybe a communication failure about him, although that has not been said.
Starting point is 00:59:59 It just sort of reads like that to fail to warn that this guy was out there. But what about you? Did you see anything you thought was different and new? So, I mean, obviously, like many, I haven't had a chance to go through all of it. A lot of it is very hard to read. The copies that were released are blurry at best. A billion things were redacted as they always have been. But hey, like now the true work begins. And people like John Greenwald have already began that work. You know every historian out there who's ever been interested in this conspiracy. or this, you know, just break point in time when a U.S. president was assassinated. And we'll start to go through it and really start to look for the, they read between the lines and find those gems. But there were a few sort of outliers and things that stood out to me.
Starting point is 01:01:00 I made a slide for this right here. So let's go ahead and look at a few of these. the first one, like you mentioned, the CIA closely monitored Oswald. Now, this was before the assassination. So they were clearly keeping an eye on the guy that would eventually murder the president. Including phone tapping. And they're following him in Mexico City in Cuba in the Soviet Union at the time. Clearly, they had data that would have likely had.
Starting point is 01:01:36 have been helpful. Maybe it was a period of time in American intelligence, sort of like pre-9-11, where we didn't have the Kings worked out and information sharing. But my goodness, he should have been on a big poster board somewhere as someone to keep an eye on and not just by phone tapping, right? Exactly. I mean, even right here. Okay. So here's what I have right in here. Prior to the assassination, they were monitoring him. It included tracking his movements and interactions, shedding light on the extent of the agency's awareness of Oswald's activities before the event. The New York Post reported on this. Oh, that was, sorry, that was where I got the information from the New York Post on that one.
Starting point is 01:02:24 The second detail here is details about Operation Mongoose. This is interesting. Let me read that. Yeah. Yep. A covert CIA operation aimed at destabilizing Castro's regime in Cuba was unveiled. The files disclosed plans and discussions concerning assassination attempts on Castro, highlighting the lengths to which the U.S. government was willing to go during the Cold War.
Starting point is 01:02:52 So that was pretty interesting. Now, we sort of knew about this, but the fact that there's like documentation and files on it was pretty intriguing to me. I also think in companionship to knowing now how much he really distrusted the CIA. He thought they were too powerful that they could actually undermine presidential authority, particularly overseas. So, you know, interesting when you put those two together, it does look different than something we've known historically. Exactly. And that actually like dovetails right into the third thing here I highlighted, the CIA's internal concerns. I wrote here, unredacted transcripts from James Angleton, the CIA's counterintelligence chief at the time, provided a glimpse into the agency's internal deliberations.
Starting point is 01:03:44 These documents reveal concerns about potential leaks in the agency's efforts to manage information related to the assassination. Right. So playing like damage control and like being sure certain things didn't get out to the public, both about the CIA. and their possible connections to the assassination itself. Sounds very UFO adjacent, doesn't it? Trying to cover up things when there's a big public sighting or something. And then here comes the garbage, you know. Especially, Suzanne, if you do put any stock into the alleged, you know,
Starting point is 01:04:24 involvement of JFK with the UFO topic. No, I know a lot of it is speculation. None of it's ever been definitively proven. But, you know, there's that whole thing about, like, you know, maybe he had a little son and something going on with Miss Marilyn Monroe. And he told her some secrets he knew about UFOs. Roswell. He actually wanted to disclose to the public what they knew about UFOs and the possible possession of craft that the United States have. And this could have been a reason he was assassinated.
Starting point is 01:04:59 Huge sweeping claim, I know. And either one of those could stand on their own two feet as a possible motivator. Yeah. You know, with Marilyn and I suspect other women. And, you know, from history's recitation of who's orbiting in and out of the circle. But or the UFO thing. So. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:05:20 Where are the records on that? I know. We need that. And the rumors were that he told this stuff, the Marilyn Monroe. And she was going to go public. Right. And then she's gone. tragically died too. So again,
Starting point is 01:05:33 I know. Crazy stuff. No, we did get 400 Social Security numbers. That was new. Let's get to that one. The Cuban exile thing is pretty interesting, but obvious. My fourth highlight there. But the last one was during the release of these files,
Starting point is 01:05:52 there was an exposure of personal information. Let me read this. An unintended consequence of the document release was the exposure of personal info, such as social security numbers of individuals mentioned in the files. So painful. This breach has raised privacy concerns and legal actions against the National Archives for failing to protect sensitive data. So, yeah, there you go.
Starting point is 01:06:19 Well, the command said zero redactions, so they got zero reductions. Yep, exactly. All in orders, right. Crazy stuff. Some of those people, this is the not funny part. Some of those people are still alive. Right. And now their data is compromised.
Starting point is 01:06:36 So I'm sure they're scrambling. In fact, I think there was an executive order behind the release saying Social Security fix this new Social Security numbers for these people who just got doxed. Yeah. I hope they get it sorted. Yeah. I don't know. I don't know how they're going to do that. But way to go, guys.
Starting point is 01:06:57 Way to go on that. What do you think? What do you think happened to JFK? Have you ever had a solid theory or are you up in the air like everyone else? I'm up in the air. But I'll tell you what did come out in this latest tranche of documents is Russia's conclusion about it. I don't know if you had a minute to read that Russia's conclusion in their own investigative world was that it was an ultra-right American conspiracy that had taken him down. So, I don't know what we do with that.
Starting point is 01:07:30 He was pretty liberal. Yeah, I mean, he really wanted to shake things up while he was there. And that didn't seem to sit well with a lot of people. So, yeah, who knows? I, you know, we'll take what we can get. Maybe something will come of these 80,000 pages, many of which we should mention have been made public already. But there were some new stuff.
Starting point is 01:07:51 So I will give them credit for that. But it did seem a little rushed. putting this thing out, obviously, with the personal data thing. And, and yeah. Yeah. I don't know. I don't know. I honestly, I don't think it was a lone gunman.
Starting point is 01:08:07 You don't? I do not. The whole magic bullet thing. It's something I've always wanted to look further into. Now, I started reading a book about JFK and his brother, but it wasn't really about the assassination. It was about their lives. his presidency and in Robert's work.
Starting point is 01:08:29 But I, like most people, watched the Oliver Stone movie. Sure. That's where I got most of my JFK information and Bryce Zabel's amazing dark skies television series that really took it in the UFO direction. But he's really quiet lately. I wonder if he's up to his eyeballs in these documents. Right. I know.
Starting point is 01:08:51 I'd be interested to hear what Bryce Zabel thinks about all this. I'll have to watch a little more closely. see if I can catch him on it. Yeah, yeah. Start surveilling him like the CIA. Chronically, right. Oh, man. All right.
Starting point is 01:09:05 Let me go up in the chat because I know we've been, I want to make sure, see what everyone's saying. Doug Sprague says 80,000 pages will take a while. Yeah. It's going to take a minute. Yeah. You'll take a minute.
Starting point is 01:09:18 We'll get right on that. We'll get right on that. Actually, Dad, that'll be a good project for you for next weekend. So get on that. you don't take it Douglas Spray what do you guys think in the chat let us know what do you think happen to JFK let us know in the chat and in the comments below we would love to know what you think of the
Starting point is 01:09:39 jfk assassination and what did you find the most compelling and interesting about these files from are you seeing something we don't see exactly yeah yeah we're up to our eyes and ears in UFO information but what is actually in these documents So Lucy says Seinfeld was my first intro to JFK. Have you seen that episode? Yes. I think I posted it in the Facebook page.
Starting point is 01:10:05 I think you did. I think I did. Yeah. I just watched it. I literally just watched that episode the other day. Back into the left. Back into the back. I know.
Starting point is 01:10:15 I know. I know. Too soon? Too soon. Too soon. Well, you know what's not too soon. What's not too soon? Grush talk.
Starting point is 01:10:27 Oh my gosh. Never too soon for Grush calls. You ready? I'm ready. Let's get to our last story of the night. We have an update both on legal matters with Mr. Grush, but before that, Suzanne, David Grush has been hired as an advisor of UAP matters to a congressman. So UAP whistleblower David Gruss has officially been approved for and accepted for and, accepted a position to work on Congressman Burleson's personal office staff.
Starting point is 01:11:00 So I have a quick video from News Nation that we're going to watch here. And then I want to get your thoughts on it. And then we'll get to the updates on the Grush lawsuit. So let's give this a watch. Than a year since the whistleblower, that guy right there, David Grush, sat down with News News Nation's Ross Coldheart and shared some big revelations. When you say crash retrieval, what do you mean? These are retrieving non-human origin technical vehicles.
Starting point is 01:11:31 You know, call it spacecraft, if you will. Non-human, exotic origin, vehicles that have either landed or crashed. We have spacecraft from another species. We do. That interview caught the attention to Congress. Months later, Grush testified about his allegations. And now, News Nation, the first to report today that Grush is expected to soon head right back to the Capitol.
Starting point is 01:11:57 Our Joe Khalil was the one who broke the story today. Joe K in the Capitol hallways, you might have a new visitor there for the next four months or so. David Grush, explain why. Yeah, this is very significant. So look, this is probably the world's most famous UAP, UFO whistleblower. Now you can throw congressional staffer on his resume. He's going to be working for Congressman Eric Burleson, a Republican who's been at the forefront of this. A very big deal. Burleson had been trying for some time to get Grush to work with him.
Starting point is 01:12:28 Why this is important is because you've got a lot of activity over the last two years in this space. You've had hearings, multiple, you've had private classified briefings. A lot of lawmakers say they don't know the right questions even to ask to move the ball forward on this topic. So Grush is someone who can give him lines of inquiry, can say these are the threads to pull. Why does he be an employee for that, though? So he technically can do this in a certain capacity, right? But when you're talking about getting people into a classified space or a setting, that's something that you need to have either clearance for or that you need to be on staff in some way.
Starting point is 01:13:05 And I've actually heard that they may try to increase his clearance now that he is a congressional staffer. That also is an important element of this and something that, you know, he has had things that he has claimed, Grush has claimed he cannot say publicly. If his clearance is higher, it's possible. He says he might be able to disclose certain things. So all of that is something we're going to be watching. And I think it's important to note here, Eric Burleson isn't just like some random congressman who says, oh, that's kind of interesting. Let's see if I can get him to work for me. He's one of the original, along with Tim Burchett, Anna Polina Luna, Jared Moskowitz, who have been asking
Starting point is 01:13:43 a lot of questions here. On the Oversight Committee, on the UAP Caucus, So he's been very much at the center of this. And it was his idea, actually, to bring Grush on to his staff. Interesting. Yeah. Right? Where do we begin? Okay.
Starting point is 01:14:00 So his title will be senior advisor, and he will most likely advise on UAP, UFO-related topics. His role will begin as a temporary four-month post. Four months. Is that interesting? I know. And let's start with a Twitter drum. So that came flying out on Twitter, the instant it happened, of course.
Starting point is 01:14:22 And it was reading like they had put him as an employee to the, is it the House Oversight Committee? So my goodness, I thought, well, they're fixing a classification problem, right? If you're on the committee, you are going to get a certain level of classification. But that's not what's happening. Burleson, Representative Burleson, hired him as this advisor for this limited period of time, I'm not sure that's going to fix a classification issue. If they thought maybe they were going to get on the inside so that he could talk the way he would be able to talk safely, like he could in the skiff that apparently hasn't happened,
Starting point is 01:15:06 I don't know. If it has, nobody's talking. I don't think that that's going to fix that classification problem. I also heard Tim Burchett, and you probably did too, say that he thought maybe he could get around the classification issue that way, my Burleson hiring him. But then he backed off, too. And, you know, I file a whole bunch of lawyers who do government work and military work. And I just don't see, certainly not my expertise, but I just don't see him getting around the classification problem. So I don't understand what this move is about. Maybe it's as simple as it's better to be on the inside than the outside. I don't know.
Starting point is 01:15:52 What do you make of it? You know, a lot of people do say that the way to shake things up is from the inside. So, I mean, maybe it's possible. Grush thinks that by getting inside, he will have more possibilities to get information out. But then, like, I look at it. at all different ways. Like, this could be, like, we look at these Congress people, like, Berlinson, you know, he's been working with, like, Burchett and Luna.
Starting point is 01:16:21 And I'm Paulina Luna. Moskowitz and all them. And a lot of people think this is directly connected to the Federal Secrets Task Force. Oh. I mean, for, think, that's a six-month thing. We're already a month in or so. Grush is being brought into this for four months. So it's kind of lining up to me that I think if you connect these dots,
Starting point is 01:16:49 this is related somehow to this Federal Secrets Task Force, which just did the Epstein thing. They probably had maybe something to do with this JFK thing because they did say they were looking at this as well, along with the president. And, you know, UAP is right. sort of put on the back burner for the federal task force. They said that'll probably be the last thing we look at.
Starting point is 01:17:15 So maybe this is like a hell Mary. Like, well, let's get the one guy who came to Congress and said all these audacious and sensational things. Right. Let's get him in on this. Yeah. And maybe it's just as simple as he knows which questions to ask and who to ask them of and where things sit.
Starting point is 01:17:36 You know, so just having somebody in the room who. can call BS if they're heading them in a wrong direction. Maybe that's what it's about. But we'll see. Yeah. Four months, not very much time. People love Grush, so make him turn sides. I'm interested to see what the chat is saying about it. Yeah, no kidding. Let's see. I saw someone say something. Grush being brought in as a consultant is a big red flag. for me. I agree. Yeah, a lot of people do find this, like, they don't think it's a good thing. I guess red flag is a little strong for me, notable, notable. Notable. Finger on the moment about it. It means something. Yeah. It does. And, you know,
Starting point is 01:18:31 to even go a little further into the conspiracy realm of it, I'm like, what if, like, Burleson brought him in because the powers that be wanted to bring him in. And, you know, to keep a muzzle on him. It's exactly my first thought. I went on Avi Loeb. Who won't let the government anywhere in his business because they black box stuff and they take over and they shut you down? That was my first concern was if you're on the inside,
Starting point is 01:18:57 yes, that may be a great place to be. It also may not. Yeah. Hire him. Give this guy a job. Like give him, throw him some coin for the next four months. and keep him silent on, you know, these very vocal things that he brought to Congress. I don't know.
Starting point is 01:19:18 Like, this is just crazy to me, like all of it. I don't know. You never get at that point in time where they just tell what they're doing. Can you just tell what you're doing? Why are you doing this? What's the goal for it? No, you know, which is what leads us to this podcast, right? Exactly.
Starting point is 01:19:36 And thinking and hypothesizing constantly. Exactly, exactly. You know, and yeah, I don't know. I don't know. It's just, I don't know where all this is heading, but it doesn't seem to be in a good direction, in my personal opinion, when it comes to these people who left government because they didn't agree with how they were handling the UAP issue,
Starting point is 01:20:02 went out to the public, started civilian groups or whatnot, are very vocal about the government's lying to you. People like Elizondo, people like Grush, others as well. I don't want to just single them out. There's many others who have made those claims as well. And now they're all working with the government again. Elizondo was working with Space Force. Rush is not working on the staff of a congress member. And I'm generalizing. I know that. You know, this is very nuanced and bureaucratic and And maybe we can hope that they're going to be able to change the temperature of the water, so speak, that maybe from the inside, you know, I can imagine like when lawyers have a problem
Starting point is 01:20:50 client or something's going on in a case that they are not comfortable with, they do what's called a noisy withdrawal. And you don't ever say what your client's done, but you use words like, I am getting out of this case, Your Honor, and this is really important. to me and I am not giving any gray area about what I want to happen right now and it needs to happen immediately. That's called a noisy withdrawal. So these guys have gotten themselves back in, so to speak. Are we going to watch noisy withdrawals? Are we going to, are we going to see, like, wait a minute, this isn't what we signed up for. This isn't the truth. So I think we watch for noisy withdrawals. Yeah. Yep, exactly. And again, four months. Are you kidding me? Like,
Starting point is 01:21:37 What kind of work can be done in four months? I didn't. Whatever. Whatever. But we're not done. We're not done talking about Grush. Now, you came to me with some updates on the David Grush lawsuit that's going on. A lot of people are asking, like, what is the latest on that?
Starting point is 01:21:56 It kind of felt silent for a while. But we have been updating people on the lawsuit here on the live stream because you have been speaking directly with, the Loudoun County people and the people handling the lawsuit and now pending trial. So what updates can you give us on this David Grush lawsuit that's going on? And maybe catch people up on what it is. If you don't mind. Yeah. So, you know, he sued Loudoun County for the release of what are either mental health or drug and alcohol records.
Starting point is 01:22:31 And it's not clear exactly from the records where that falls under. Virginia law. But he sued them for the release of this. They gave them to a journalist named Ken Klippenstein or Klippenstein, and they published them. And it was not something that he had consented to. And as we've talked about a couple of times, mental health, drug and alcohol types of records, they are extremely sensitive records. And they're dealt with differently than, say, medical records. They are different from medical records. or just regular police records. So when they filed, you'll remember that they sued Loudoun County Sheriff,
Starting point is 01:23:15 but they also sued a Jane Doe. And the Jane Doe looked like that might be the FOIA agent for Loudoun County. So a FOIA agent, so think of a FOIA agent as sort of the expert on FOIA, what's covered by FOIA, what's protected from FOIA, blah, blah, And I will tell you, Virginia law could not be clear that mental health and drug and alcohol records are protected from FOIA. So I didn't know who that was. And I suspect since they sued this person as a Jane Doe, so we know she's female, that they didn't know exactly who she was either while an amended complaint got filed last week. And I just want to give a shout out to the Loudoun County court clerk because they are so helpful to me trying to do.
Starting point is 01:24:07 get these documents. They are so responsive and just do a great job. And that's who I've been communicating with is Loudoun County Circuit Court clerk directly. So a huge thank you to them. But this case is now set for a jury trial. So two things have happened. It's set in June before a jury. And we're going to talk about why I think that's important. Yeah. But what they did in this amended complaint, and I did a side-by-side comparison to make sure I didn't miss anything, is they identified Ms. Jane Doe. And Ms. Jane Doe turns out to be Mary Ellen Clark, and she is, in fact, the FOIA agent for Virginia,
Starting point is 01:24:47 for Loudoun County, Virginia. So they have figured out who actually handed those records over and think of her as sort of a subject matter expert. She should be right on the front lines of what's okay and what's not, and I have no doubt she knows what to do to get in front of a judge to force a subpoena if you can't if you're not comfortable releasing a particular thing because that's how that would work a lawyer would say to the entity here's a subpoena for X and then the entity says back sorry X is exempt from FOIA and a protected record and then the lawyer would go to
Starting point is 01:25:29 the court to try to get an order and so would the FOIA agent the circuit court clerk would be part of that process trying to keep something protected. But that did not happen. It doesn't look like. Now we know Ms. Mary Ellen Clark is a defendant in this lawsuit, along with the county sheriff, now set for a jury trial. So on June 5, I think. Okay.
Starting point is 01:25:56 I'll double check that day, but not far. And as we mentioned, I'm going to be there. I'm going to be watching from the peanut gallery. You're going to be at the tribut. I'm going to be at the trial. Okay. I sure am. That's news to me.
Starting point is 01:26:09 Oh, I love it. Yeah, I will see. Yeah, maybe you'll have to report live. I'll report live for you. You'll be a French theater for. Okay. So two things I want to ask you there. You answer the first one, when the trial is.
Starting point is 01:26:28 A jury. Now, that seems interesting to me because when I look at a case like this. I imagine a lot of people don't, like, we always watch Law & Order, all these crime shows, date line, and like we're seeing the trial with the people there watching,
Starting point is 01:26:46 with the jury, the witnesses, all that stuff. But a lot of the times that's not the case. It's literally just in front of a judge. A lot of the times it's done remotely where like there's 10 cases in a row and they just
Starting point is 01:27:02 you know, hammer them out. But this is going to be an actual trial with an actual jury. So why do you think that is? Well, let me give you a little background in relation to this particular case. Then I'll talk to you just a second about the procedure of that. So you have to file, most states require that when the plaintiff, who is Mr. Gresh, files a lawsuit, you have to say on the front end if you want a trial by jury or trial by judge. Actually, I don't think you have to actually say that you want a trial by judge.
Starting point is 01:27:34 what you have to say is I do want a trial by jury, which they did. And so for a long time, I thought, well, there is a jury. There's going to be a jury. But just because you ask for that doesn't mean you have to stick with that. And the more complicated a case, the more likely a lawyer is going to consider not letting a jury try it and letting a judge who is typically a more sophisticated thinker and experienced thinker in the law, make those decisions. So I've also been watching the docket, not just for the pleadings and those sorts of things, but also to see whether they were going to declare it set for trial by jury, which happened this week.
Starting point is 01:28:19 It happened this week. They're going to have a trial by jury. So, you know, juries are amazing things, amazing entities. But they can be, jurors come from all walks of life. Not all of them are sophisticated thinkers. Not all of them are mentally healthy. Not all of them are good graspers of complex data. And our listeners may remember from the episode we did when that complaint got filed,
Starting point is 01:28:50 it is a complex pleading. I had to spreadsheet the matter just to get the inner workings of all the statutes in my mind on how it was working generally. It's just very, very complicated. So here's what I think. Somebody has made a decision that the jury, which can be very sympathetic and empathetic, and even though they may not be the most sophisticated thinker in the room, they can get the general gist if it's well-lawyered by the plaintiff's lawyer, and they will use their empathy much more readily than a judge, in my opinion, and in my experience, to get to what they think is justice. Okay.
Starting point is 01:29:39 So this is more emotionally driven. It can be. It can be. What I would give to be able to talk to his lawyers. But I'm, you know, that's just not possible. So you know what that sort of says to me, if I'm being honest. It sounds to me like maybe Grush doesn't think he has the leg to stand on that he, once thought he did?
Starting point is 01:30:01 I wouldn't know that for. No? No, I think what they're doing, you know, lawyers are subject to sanction for filing lawsuits that don't have merit. Okay. And plaintiffs can get hit in certain circumstances with big legal fee bills from the other side if they file something and don't win it. So there are those safeguards on, well, I just hope a jury sees it my way.
Starting point is 01:30:28 let's go with the emotional end. I think that they've thought they're thinking more along the lines. Of course, I don't know. It's just me looking at it. But I think they're thinking more along the lines as a jury is going to feel the pain of what happened to Mr. Grush when these extremely personal records came out inappropriately. And that could help with a dollar damage. It could, you know, because they're going to set a dollar amount on if they win this case,
Starting point is 01:30:58 somebody's got to set the dollar amount. It could also just win when it hits that justice button to normal people who don't want their mental health or drug and alcohol records published across the planet. So I think a conscious decision, a choice got made, and I suspect they know what they're doing. Okay. That's fair. That is fair. Man, I'm so happy we have you to like deconstruct this because otherwise you're just like,
Starting point is 01:31:27 Yeah, there's some lawsuit with grush, like, for billions of dollars or something. Yeah, right, right. But, like, yeah, this is going to get down to the nitty gritty. I wonder, like, okay, as a retired lawyer yourself, and I know this is totally a hypothetical, how long do you think a case like this would go, a trial, I should say, for a case like this, typically for like an issue of like I guess public records or I don't know like again there's so many nuances and complexities to this which is why they probably want a jury but like are we talking like a week a month a year like what do you think personally what I think and with the
Starting point is 01:32:15 caveat that I don't have a clue how this particular courtroom runs you know when you're in your home court you have a sense of how long a judge will go during a day what the breaks look like, how long they give you for lunch, that sort of thing. And I know none of that. Keeping in mind that I know nothing about that, when I look at the facts, I think it's a three to five day trial. But yeah. Wow. I was not expecting that answer. But then a jury can complicate it, you know, what the jury's schedule is in terms of getting jurors in there for whatever period of time or whether holidays or pop, you know, everything can affect that. So I'm thinking inside a week we ought to be done.
Starting point is 01:32:58 Okay. Interesting. You know, and then he's wrapped up in that, and now he's getting an official position with a congressman. This guy, like, no rest for the wicked, I guess. None. And really all he wanted was in a skiff. Somebody put me in a skiff, right?
Starting point is 01:33:15 Get this man in a skiff. I don't want him in a courtroom. I want him in a skiff, guys. Damn it. Well, he will be under oath in a courtroom, so we'll see what gets said. That's true. That's true. Maybe he'll give us a few more bombshells while he's in the courtroom.
Starting point is 01:33:30 By the way. He's going to win the case and then be like, by the way, I know where all of the crashed UFO material are. Follow me to the material. Let's go. Lots of places can expose you to identity theft. Oh, no. That's why LifeLock monitors hundreds of millions. of data points a second for threats to your identity, which is way more than anyone can do on their own.

Save up to 40% your first year at LifeLock.com slash special offer. Terms apply. Crazy stuff. Okay. I know. It's a much of Grush.
Starting point is 01:34:18 I know. Always finds a way to keep us talking about him. I'll give him that. He does. He does. That's for damn sure. Awesome. Well, anything else on the whole Grush side before we wrap things up here?
Starting point is 01:34:31 I don't think so. I think that's kind of where we are. We may see a little flurry of filings that are called motions and limine. And what that means is, and they're typically filed just ahead of a trial. But it's a narrowing of the eerie. issues, but we may not in his case because, you know, they had that big set of motions where the county tried to throw his lawsuit out and they lawsuits. And so he's still, his case is still viable and now going to a jury trial. So, but there could there could be some of that we might see,
Starting point is 01:35:03 but I'll let you know. Do you think they'll allow like cameras in there? I don't know. That's on my to do list this week is to figure out what this judge's courtroom rules are. Yeah. Because, gosh, it would make it so much easier for me if I could just run the recorder while also taking my... You know. You heard it here first, guys. We might be the exclusive live stream of the David Grush. That's my one homework for this week. It's to figure out what I can do in that courtroom.
Starting point is 01:35:35 I'm going to have to buy a tripod and some a ringlet and make it just there the whole time. Exactly. Exactly. Awesome. Well, thank you. Thank you for your insights on all of this. I'll let you go back in the chat as we have. Let me give a quick shout out to my sweet neighbors out here in Santa Fe.
Starting point is 01:35:54 Oh my gosh, please. Because guess who forgot her microphone in Memphis, Tennessee? And guess who came to the rescue this morning? They killed it. That is a great microphone. I'm actually jealous. Thank you. I used to have the Yeti Blue.

And the results out of seven, 76 votes, guys. We had top five alien abduction documentaries, 20% of you.
Starting point is 01:41:21 Top five most convincing abductions, 30% of you. Top five weirdest entity cases, 29% of you. And top five UFO books to read 21%. It is pretty close. Wow. But it looks like majority wins. We're going to be doing the top five most convincing alien abductions. So I'm going to get working on that immediately.
Starting point is 01:41:44 Once I get off here, I'm going to start. looking into the cases I find most convincing when it comes to the abduction phenomenon. And I'll start putting that top five video together for you guys. It will release for our Patreon subscribers, YouTube members first, and then it will then go onto the YouTube main feed after that.
