Hi, coltees. It's me, Isa Medina, former host and co-creator of your beloved Sounds Like a Cult podcast.
Did you miss me? If you don't know who I am, let me reintroduce myself.
My name is Isa Medina and I co-created Sounds Like a Cult with Amanda in 2021.
We hosted the podcast together from 2021 until as recently as December 2023.
I'm dropping in here to connect with you all, the listeners of Sounds Like a Cult, with a very special and exciting announcement I think you might be interested to know about.
I'm launching a new podcast.
I'm so excited to share that since leaving Sounds Like a Cult, I've been working on
a show with my friend, writer, and content creator Lydia Keating.
And I know it's everything a cultie would love.
It's full of fun facts, deep dives, juicy banter, special guests, and of
course my favorite act of all, playing devil's avocado. For those of you who don't know,
that's what I like to call when I play devil's advocate for the sake of discussion.
So my new podcast is called I'm Right You're Wrong, and it's a show about the everyday
debates you have with your friends at brunch. Every week on the show, we take a hard stance
opposite from each other and debate to the bitter end,
but not actually bitter.
While the topics we explore are light,
what we're really looking into are the ethics of adulthood.
What does it mean to be a good person
in your 20s and 30s?
We live in an era where so many people
have so many opinions about what you should
and should not do, what you should and should not say,
how you should and should not be.
So we try to get to the bottom of it.
Who's really right and who's really wrong?
I mean, these are decades full of uncomfortable, strange
and difficult moral dilemmas,
like right or wrong, dating a friend's ex,
right or wrong, nepo babies,
right or wrong, being a stay at home mom.
This podcast is both a love letter to our 20s,
but also an attempt
at bringing back debate through these fun lighthearted topics as an exercise of learning
to communicate with friends, family, or folks you might disagree with. The best way to come to a
decision is to genuinely look at both sides. So every week we cover a different topic.
The show features three distinct segments. In the first segment, we define the term.
What is an epo baby?
We establish the history
and the historical discourse of the topic
and touch of course on pop culture references of the topic.
Next, the debate.
Lydia and I are each randomly assigned a side to defend,
whether we agree with it or not.
We come prepared and ready to argue the most extreme take,
right or wrong. We each have three uninterrupted the most extreme take, right or wrong. We
each have three uninterrupted minutes to make our well-researched case.
And the last segment is the discussion. After we establish the extremes of the debate, Lydia
and I get into what we actually think. This last segment is the bulk of the episode where
we get personal and sometimes invite on a guest or an expert in the field. And maybe,
who knows, we change our minds.
We think this is the perfect time for a podcast like this.
With the 2024 election quickly approaching,
division and anger and disagreement
are more relevant than ever.
Our podcast brings the opposite, levity, playfulness,
and it shows that it's okay to agree to disagree,
about some topics, of course.
It feels like the more we surround ourselves with like-minded people,
the more sensitive we are to disagreeing about even the simplest things.
We want to remind folks that debate is not only fun, but it's actually the root
of progress and discourse. But don't worry, we're going to make it fun, juicy.
And of course, the perfect company for a commute, road trip, deep dive,
or even just washing the dishes.
We're here to entertain you.
Some of the topics we're going to be covering
are right or wrong friendship breakups,
right or wrong Botox and fillers,
right or wrong influencers commenting on politics,
right or wrong dating a coworker, buying a dog.
I'm so excited to tell you all
that the show page and trailer is now live on Spotify, Apple,

You're Wrong podcast trailer. Love you all. Talk to you later. Xoxo.
This is I'm Right, You're Wrong, a podcast about the everyday debates you have with your
friends at brunch.
I'm Issa Medina and I'm a comedian.
I'm Lydia Keating.
I'm a writer and content creator.
Every week we debate a different topic.
Right or wrong?
Nepo babies?
I think it would be so wrong if I was hot all year round.
All the time.
Wrong.
Wrong.
Wrong.
Being hot year round?
So wrong.
So wrong. For you and for others. Right right or wrong getting Botox and fillers. Hey
The code you didn't give me didn't fucking work whore
You know, it could have been worse. It could have been you said hey the code didn't work period
Yeah, right or wrong staying friends with your ex, you know, if I ever am down on my luck. Yeah, I'm gonna go to Finland
Mmm, I'm gonna commit a crime. on my luck, I'm gonna go to Finland, I'm gonna commit a crime, I'm gonna go to jail.
Yeah, and you're gonna rest up.
And I'm gonna take a motherfucking nap.
To try and answer the question all of us think about constantly.
What does it mean to be a good person in your 20s?
Or 30s.
Or 40s.
Or literally hundreds, everyone is young and hot and cute forever.
So true.
Every week our producer randomly assigns us a side to debate.
We prepare and come ready to argue the most extreme take.
Right or wrong?
And then we get into a little discussion about our favorite word.
Nuance!
And yeah, how it's totally fine to agree to disagree.
I mean in this economy, it's actually the only thing we can afford to do.
I'm Right, You're Wrong is coming June 4th wherever you get your podcasts.
