Me and Ryan have been officially welcomed to the jungle that is Bosul Sports.
I brought it towards the coyotes and I asked him if it was okay if I joined the Spit Chickles podcast full-time.
Ryan Whitney's got a pink Whitney out there now.
There's a standbacker, get that on camera.
Keith Yandah, the Sank Man.
It's a full-time member.
Marley just got an assist from Chris Bates.
Whoa, we're buzzing right now.
Sank.
What is up, everyone? Pinky's up on Memorial Day Monday.
Shout out everyone out there who's tuning in with us on a holiday.
We appreciate it.
Shout out all the soldiers that are serving now that have served before.
What an incredible holiday and an incredible day for some spit and shicklets and pink Whitney.
Hats off.
Hats off.
Hats off.
And let me tell you, Biz, Pink Whitney's everywhere.
We keep saying it.
I know down in Carolina, they needed that Pink Whitney game too.
They tied that thing up.
right i don't know if it's in montreal or not i'm actually in porto rico right now which i mentioned
there's a porto rican bartender here at the resort that's an enormous florida panthers fan that said to me
we need to get pink whitney here at this resort i said i'll see what i can do but i got i can't give any
promises you know i have my name on it but other than that i got no saying anything so shout out
pinkies up and pink whitney and the conference finals oh my god one shocking shocking situation out west
you got the rubs from pink whitney on that leg mckenon
Oh my God, that's crazy.
We're going to get into that.
And we got Carolina just biting back, biting back against Keith's abs.
Biz is on the hurricanes because Jeff Gordon said,
don't you come near her Montreal, Canadians.
Don't you even think about coming near us.
Yeah, you've got to be careful.
I'm in some high-rise building.
And it's actually funny you mentioned you don't know if it's in Montreal.
The province of Quebec is the only province right now, I believe,
that is selling Pink Whitney where the tariffs didn't affect it.
So shout out.
Shout out.
Shout out to one of the three victories.
The sexiest provinces there is.
Oh.
We don't need to die.
We don't need to dive.
You're there right now.
I can't imagine the messages you're getting for anyone who was wondering.
Biz has a,
if you're not watching,
Biz has a hockey dad,
a new hat,
47 brand hockey dad,
great lid,
but he said,
is this full palm,
not a hockey dad?
I said,
you're a hockey daddy,
though.
And I know in Montreal,
all, it's really going to be some biz daddy time.
So, guys, we're going to start, we're going to start out West.
We have, we have Eric Johnson coming on today.
He's just dialed in everywhere.
We got Tripp Tracy boys.
I don't know if you saw Tripp after that overtime winner, the clip that went viral.
He got credit for a couple hits on the game.
Did it even go viral?
Yeah, it did.
It's tripper, dude.
You know it did.
Keith, don't be hating on Tripp.
Keith and Tripp have a little rivalry going.
Cain's, Cains, Habs.
And it could get ugly when he comes on.
and we have Blutman.
Blutman, I would say, took over the internet on a Sunday night,
Memorial Day weekend, at least hockey internet,
because this guy went to the game,
and they're down 3-0,000.
He's on the glass, but boom,
did he bring back that team from the dead?
We're going to get chatting with him in a couple minutes,
but I wanted to go over some league trends here, Biz.
Gee, put these in just at the beginning to tee things up a little bit.
We got a, right now I'm saying,
teams with a 2-1 series leading a best of seven series in the round before the final
hold an all-time series record of 92 and 28.
So when looking at game three tonight, when looking at what's happening tonight, this is a big one.
This is probably possibly going to show who's going to win this series.
Another thing that's just crazy to me is the fact that ESPN and TNT, when they've had
the avalanche, they are regularly showing when the aves are leading going into the third
period, they win.
They have not lost this season.
And when the aves are up by two or more goals, they win.
They have not lost this season.
While both things have happened in the last two games.
And we said they might be dead after game one.
They're officially done.
It's over.
It's over, boys.
Right the obituary.
And I'm shocked.
I mean, obviously, like, I'm more shocked at the turnaround that Vegas has had and what
they've turned into than I think I am on the abs going down.
3-0 because if you guys remember
this team was dead they couldn't
get a save all year they trailed
the second most amount of minutes
in the league this year comeback kids
god damn canucks trailed more than them
and they were the worst team in the league
and then they fire
their coach with a chance of missing the
playoffs and buddy it's just
been domination biz it's
it's a joke it's a you gotta just
I hate them I hate them I'm disgusted by
this but sometimes you got to tip your cap man
and I have to oh
these guys, not only the right moves at the deadline, but just like even after the first round,
you were like, oh, okay, these guys got something cooking.
They got some steam going here.
And there was a few shaky games for Carter Hart.
And I'll always go back right now to crediting Tortarella for not pulling them and not deviating
from the plan in that series.
And ever since then, I think I read that nine, well, now it's probably, I don't know about last night,
but before last night, it was nine of his last 10 starts.
a save percentage of 926 or higher.
So Merle's kind of touched on just how confident he looks,
how he's kicking.
And when he's in the zone,
I mean, Yans, you played with him.
This guy is locked and loaded.
And sure enough, the one game,
or maybe he gets off to a little bit of a shaky start,
lets up, what, three in the first,
or three in the first half of the game there.
And the offense, all of a sudden,
comes storming back.
And you also kind of felt like they were going to come back
because Torts kind of,
it felt like he lit the bench up when they called that when they disallowed that goal that
cross-checking goal i don't know how you guys feel about that one we could talk about this after
but he kind of brought that fire and he kind of went at the ref and dorothea was actually sitting
right in front of him and dorif didn't say a word to the ref all dorifiav was doing was staring
forward he was worried about fucking what the task at hand was and the quote post game for mitch
marner he's like the boys didn't turn on each other we didn't get yelling at each other i thought that was
That was, I thought, Merle's,
and G believe that's directed
at old Maple Leafs teammates.
I think it's directed at the abs a little bit
and it probably just not directed at anyone
and they just love each other.
We're at the point in playoffs now
where every single post game quote
is being fucking scrutinized,
turned into something it might not be
going back to Bednar talking about
Kail McCar.
I'm wondering what he's going to have to say about
Nate now if Nate's not playing.
Like, fuck, this is,
this is gone.
completely off the rails more than anyone expected.
Like, yes, did I expect this to be a series?
And it goes back to the abs fans, too, being like,
being like coin flip, coin flip.
We're going to dummy and drum these guys.
The cockiest fan base has cursed themselves.
Oh, it was, they're getting a taste of their own medicine right now.
Now, what did you guys make of that non-goal?
Were you guys, did you guys think that was a goal, Yans?
I thought, I thought it was a goal just from seeing,
it and then knowing and then you saw
Marner who's got some of the best vision in the league
Dorothea thinks he scores
I usually tell by how the player reacts
or the teammates around him
that's why they don't need to call it
it if he waives no goal
on the ice right the refs so then
they don't have enough evidence to overturn
it can they not just not make a call
and be like okay let's review this
and then it's a 50-50 type thing
this is what we said about the goal
just go upstairs I don't know what happened go upstairs
it was it was paling the goal
I went bananas on that I was wrong about.
Yes, yes.
I think it is a rule you got to make a call on the ice.
Oh, you do, okay.
I think you do based on that when it goes to replay,
we need to have something that if it's not conclusive we're going back to.
But I'll agree with you that Dorfee,
of the confidence he had like, hey, that hit my stick.
That didn't hit my glove.
But I'm pretty sure, and maybe I'm completely missing this Puerto Rican brain,
did it not, was it not in the end, not called a goal?
Because it was a high stick.
That's what I thought.
What do you mean?
No. Well, Ray Ferraro said that
the explanation that the ref gave
torts was that it was
because they didn't have enough evidence to overturn it.
He didn't go pinkies up.
He went thumbs up.
Yeah.
And that's the problem.
How about the fact that
that, you know,
wind gets taken out of your sales, boom, we get a big
one there and it didn't even slow them down.
No.
It's not like they didn't lose their composure.
Colorado went right back and scored
to make a three-nothing.
So that swing.
The drury sickle.
Oh, but so that swing alone would have crumbled a mentally weak team.
But once again, this Vegas team, they do not deviate.
They don't get down on themselves.
They don't start turning on each other.
And just an incredible, incredible comeback.
I mean, the minute they scored that first one, I'm like, oh, here we go.
Here we go.
And I mean, you tweeted it out.
I think it was right before playoffs about
April 1st.
April 1st.
Now, April Fool's.
Now, Murals now wants to take credit for it.
I know.
Of course.
Of course.
I mean,
what do we don't know?
I tweeted out,
if you're not questioning the avalanche goaltending,
going into playoffs,
you don't know puck.
I got crushed.
Considering they are the Jennings winners.
The Jennings winners, right?
And at the same time,
I got to admit,
I don't necessarily remember sending that tweet.
It was late night.
We were on another vacation.
And shout out the vacation for the witness.
This one's no kids, though.
This one's no kids.
So you guys know, Keith, you know, vacation, you know, vacation.
It's a vacation on steroids.
What's the only thing you packed?
New sponsor.
I'm not, yeah, I'm not going to include that Ruggie yet.
So I got, and I'll go back to game two in this series.
Like, the Barberchief goal after Eichel tied up,
Eichl's goal was incredible.
And Devon Taves, I didn't like how he played that.
Like, he had a guy in the middle.
I know what had Taves for that?
I thought the Ikele one?
I thought Wedgwood was off his angle, man.
He was way off.
Okay.
I'm not all on Taves here, but, dude, he's backing in to the middle of the ice.
He had coverage in the middle.
Malinski had come back.
There was a forward, too.
And Ikel, he slowed it down looking to pass.
And then he's like, oh, wait, I got plenty of room.
It was a perfect shot, whatever, angle off.
The Barber Shave one, which people are telling me, you're ridiculous.
That's barred down.
It's like, dude, it's out.
It's the top of the circle.
He's on his knees.
Yeah, I don't, I just, I don't know.
My riot date.
I just can't believe the way Colorado gets out into that lead and then their second period.
Like, you, you, game two, right, you got the one-nothing lead, everything's good, and Vegas takes over in the third.
Well, this time you actually, and the lucky thing was in game two, Vegas in the second period was trash.
They were so lucky to go into the third period, down one-nothing.
This time you actually get three in the first.
You win that call that could have gone the other way easily.
And then that happens in the second.
But I'll tell you, we've always talked about fresh ice on the power play in the second period.
And that's a dream situation.
And Marner, that pass.
Now, mind you, also, Stone gets it.
Stone comes back in the lineup, makes a big impact.
His pinch on the drury goal was the most belligerent pinch I've ever seen.
He came flying in like a caveman.
And I think, was it Marner next to him?
I'm like, what the fuck?
All of a sudden, jury berries.
But Stone comes back and he taps.
I mean, not hard work on that one, but that passed.
And Biz, I didn't necessarily agree with you.
That's when you were like, oh, this thing, they're coming back.
You were that confident just on that one alone.
Well, not only that, but because that Bluntman texted Yans in the group chat.
And he said, I think it was they were down three nothing.
They said, Yans, I need you to put on the comedy network.
Right?
Is that what it is, Jans?
TNT, because I was FaceTime and I.
and I'm the other day and I showed him my screens and he was like,
why do you have TBS or TNT on?
Because the games weren't on TNT.
It was just like a random show.
And so he made me turn my TV because I didn't,
I only had just a one on.
He made me turn the other one to TBS.
So I got National Tredger with Nicholas Cage on up top left.
Shout out Nick Cage, horrible actor.
I think he's great in the rock.
I don't just kidding.
So top.
And then I'm like, why do, why does this guy want me?
And then he changed his hat in between periods.
too. So shout out for him for going to buy another hat.
But yeah, it's little things like that. The fandom when your team's down and he needed a
win bad, right? You're on the glass. Vegas flies you out there, gets you tickets. Like,
you got to show up for your squad. And he did. And I was so happy for him getting out of view.
When did he do the siren? After the second period. Yeah, because they had the comedian,
Mattescalco. Is that how you say? Yeah, Sebastian Manascalco did it. And I don't know,
have they ever done a double siren?
Or was that a special occasion for a comeback victory brought to you by Bluntman?
They must do it every period, right?
I don't know, man.
I want to believe that it was just for Blutman, but I don't know.
They got him living for the rest of playoffs in the dragon.
There's like a little caught up there.
He looks like a dragon's keeper.
Yes, he, yeah.
And then it goes back.
I mean, listen, it was a team.
effort. They have it all hands on deck right now, like a huge goal from Colossar in which
Manson, Manson was not happy. I guess you could say it was partially interference.
Like, buddy, it was the same penalty that Nelson had got called for. Yeah. So I didn't, I had,
I, I agreed with Manson on that and just Manson just cross-checking him, but then like Colossar's
chirping him the entire way to the bench gets through the bench. Manson's right there. He's giving it to
him again. It's a tie game. You're like, Colorado is falling.
falling apart.
Is there any worse feeling than when a fourth liner gets a goal on you and has the upper hand
and chirping you by the...
Never.
And I remember a time, I think it might have been...
It might have been Jansen.
He's like, you're so soft.
And I was just like, oh, I want to fucking crawl to a hole right now.
Like, it is...
But Manson isn't.
Like, Manson's soft, but he got owned there.
I mean, I do think, though, that if Nelson's getting called for that, it was the same thing.
But I'll say, Nachushkin, we didn't even...
mentioned he didn't play the final two 22 minutes mckininin's obviously banged up now he went out at the
end and what what did we talk about also with colorado and merles brought it up give murals credit on
this one their power play has not been good all year and and that's probably what's really killed them
the most that and the goal tending here and mccar being out i don't understand why they don't have
natures on the side where cadry is on right now coming downhill shooting like if mccar walks it
because a lot of teams are just taking away McKinnon, right?
They're going to cheat up to him.
So if he can walk the middle, then give it a Naceous coming downhill.
Natchez has a shot opportunity, or he's really good at making that scene pass over to Nate.
Like, Cadre kind of just gets it.
He's not really a one-timer threat.
He never really hits the one-timer.
And he just, like, gets it and holds onto it and just slows everything down.
Like, I would put Natchis over there and tell him, hey, dude, shoot Pucks till you either kill somebody or you score a goal.
He looked like he was drunk in the first.
little bit there. Nate just said. You see when he
tow picked, he like lost the stick battle,
like toe picked. There was one elite
co-pick, though. Oh, yeah.
He, the saucers, yeah, he totally
made up for the toe pick for sure.
But also the second goal,
so Carlson makes it three, two.
Wedgwood, and I think it was the
Sportsnet broadcast, they're like,
he's punching it directly to the slot.
Like, that's a shot that he
originally got, was it Marner, I think, who just like,
that can be steered off into the corner.
Maybe I'm not a goal.
guy. No, it was a tough rebound. And luckily his own guy got it. Once again, is there a worse feeling than when like it comes out like that and you try to make a, he literally gave Carlson a one-timer. I think it was it Kelly? 17. Parker Kelly. Yeah. He just put it on a tea for Carlson and Carlson's kind of, okay, fire it off. So it just felt like things were going bad to worse. And yeah, it was a snowball effect. You got to give Vegas.
credit too. Like, I mean, you mentioned it when
Torz was flipping out. Like, they don't
panic at all. There is zero panic
in their game. If they're down,
they don't give a shit. And you
saw it too with Jack, Jack, Jack getting his first goal
and I think a month, like how excited
he was. Like, he knew, like,
we needed that goal. And then you see his teammates
come over, how excited they are for him.
Like, this is a team that they know
how to win, man. Like, they
prove they can play the fast games against Utah.
They prove they can play hard games.
Like, this team's a real, real
issue and obviously we're seeing it now with Colorado and Colorado's obviously banged up what
every team is in, uh, I don't know, man, do you think they get swept? Like is this, is that? It's over.
I said it last night before the game. I think they're, if they get swept. All right, so then there's a
couple things we can go into first. And we're and abs fans, you may hate us right now, but you got
to look in the mirror. Look in the mirror. And if you were one of those, if you were one of those
fans who was saying, oh my God, you think this is going to be a series? Yeah.
You think we have any chance of losing.
And you've got to look in the mirror and it's not over yet, but you're in one.com.
And when we go back to the statements about McCar, I texted the group when I immediately saw
them.
And I think Army agreed.
Keith, you agreed.
It was kind of, it was weird by Bednar.
I feel like.
Really?
Dude, I don't know.
What's he supposed to say?
What's he supposed to say?
He can't play right now.
Say nothing.
He didn't say shit.
He's not able to play right now.
And saying,
By the way, dude, I love Bednar.
Like that guy, although I did see if he goes back to the shorter hair when they raised the
I know, buddy, he's been ripping the bong too much.
But he looks, fuck, the guy's a complete stallion.
He's like, you know, Kail's deciding when he can play.
Kail's deciding when he could deal with the pain.
And I, buddy, I totally get what you're saying, Biz, but in terms of just like brushing it
under the rug and making it not even a story, was it not a bigger story than before the, after
the press box than before?
When you keep getting asked the same question over and over,
you finally have to just...
It's part of the patience you need.
You got to protect your guys, though.
Take the Belichick playbook.
Like, just have a...
What did he say that was wrong, boys?
Everything...
He didn't say anything that was wrong.
He's saying it's clear that the player who's dealing with this
knows his own pain threshold.
Like, if he's got a bad chicken win,
and every time he goes out there and he's snapping the puck around,
he's wincing, and he knows,
guys like bar by the way
Vegas I believe right now has the top
three hit leaders in all of playoffs
between Cole Smith, Colossar
and Barbashev who by the way
as soon as McCar made his like first
pass of the game and he was on right away
Barbashev was like oh
right at the shoulder he knew
he's looking
okay so biz like
yeah and I think
I think it was made to be more than it was
but it was just I
I think there's a different quote
that could be given, right?
I think he gave all 60 other answers before that.
And then finally the fucking reporter asked them one more time and they're like,
we got them.
We got them.
We got the story now.
And, and, and also if, let's say you're in that locker room, right?
And you're like, obviously we need this guy in order to win this series,
which by the way, Ab's fans didn't think that that was the case.
and you're maybe like, okay, he's got a bit of a separated shoulder.
We're in this spot where we get a chance to win a Stanley Cup.
Maybe that is him putting a little bit of pressure on his guy saying, hey, like, shoot
that fucking thing up and fucking let's get her, pit or patter, let's get out of here.
Okay.
Which is kind of what I was saying.
But I'm saying is like, he never said it like that.
All he said is Kale knows his own pain.
he knows what he's dealing with like this is kale's call just like it would be anybody like nobody
nobody's forcing anybody to put the gear on and get out there other than bud kilmer no he probably
realizes too bednard realizes like i know we can't win without this guy and i know i need him out there
and what's like the if you're hurt you're not even doing media right so mccar isn't going out
and answering questions so it's like fuck man yeah i got to say something yeah it was
It's just as things got bad to worse after game too, and then you got that, and then the
McKinnon injury.
But we do have a special guest here.
Before we, yeah, I was going to say before we get to him, do you want to, considering we're
scrutinizing every quote and we're dissecting it, do you genuinely believe that Mitch's
quote was directed at the Leafs or maybe, or maybe even across the ice at.
I think if anything, if it was directed at anyone, talk about just pulling story.
He's got a thin air, which is what we're doing right now.
I truly think the answer is that he was talking about how much that group loves each other, which you can tell.
And any team up three-oh in the conference finals loves each other.
How could you not?
Yeah.
But the way it was worded after seeing clips of McKinnon, very poopy pants in game one.
Oh, yeah.
Right?
He kind of has the body language going that you could infer that it's like, well, that team, they do get a little mad at each other once in a while.
And we don't over here in Vegas.
And we're up three nothing, ready to go to our third fucking Stanley Cup.
final in nine years in the league and i'll say this the quote by torts after last night he goes this is a
game where we showed some balls i want them to feel it for a little bit as far as what they just did
against a really good hockey club but then we get back to work tomorrow and torts he it's the it was like
the perfect job for him coming right oh yeah battle right we're going to get you into the war and then
we're going to battle and i'm your guy and they they they must love him oh yeah small doses and how could you
not. And right now, Blutman's going to come on, but I'll finish it off before he comes on with this.
Since Torts came, this is a Gary Lawless tweet.
Shoto Gary. Vegas is 18, 4 and 1 in 22 games, 23, excuse me.
They've scored 89 goals, best in the NHL since March 30th.
They've allowed 52 goals, second best in the NHL since March 30th, plus 37 goal differential since March 30th,
the best in the National Hockey League.
So Blutman, come by the way, at the press or two, he dropped his nut sack on the desk, his tan
hat sack when he said.
Is his nut sack tan, too?
It's the most tan nut sack you've ever seen.
And basically it looks like dried up raisins at this point because of how much has been tanning.
But we got to bring in the, oh, legend, legend.
Liam.
What a run you've been on.
Is everything coming up Blutman or what?
From the start of the year, dude.
Tell me, tell me right now, though, your thoughts as you get the on the glass seats from the team and you're
down three nothing in the foot. He was there.
There had to be a little panic, dude.
I, yeah, yes.
I was there before anyone showed up.
They let me in there so early to just
see the whole place and like, I got to see
you know, the castle, dragon, everything is crazy.
Damn three nothing after one.
I'm just seeing tweet after tweet after tweet.
And I'm just, I'm embracing
every tweet I see.
Blutman curse.
What you're saying,
people are saying the guy eject me.
The guy, take me.
me away from the arena.
I never said to eject you.
I wanted you to stay.
I wanted that was Army.
My bad.
That was Colby.
My bad.
Pull up.
What's tweet.
My tweet was great.
My tweet was fucking insane.
It was the next second.
What was your tweet?
You didn't even see it.
My tweet was,
holy shit.
Blutman has completely mushed the abs.
He changed the series on the glass.
And I think,
I swear to God,
I think Colorado,
I mean, Vegas scored like 10 seconds later.
I was like,
holy shit.
I,
They saw it on the tablet on the bench and they all showed each other and they said,
we need to get going here.
Fuck this guy.
But like, like we're down three nothing after one.
And my thought was like, you knew you were going to get Colorado's best in that first period.
It was going to be absolute desperation.
You just didn't match it.
But I was depressed and everything.
But like there wasn't ever a part of me.
It was like, this game's over.
I texted you guys, I think, like I think we can make this three to going into the.
into the third.
I texted my, my buddy's
rude for Vegas. Like, I'm not giving up on this.
I'm not giving up on this one.
Stone scores immediately.
I start doing this to Wedgy.
And you changed your hat after one.
And I changed the hat.
And you put a Comedy Central TBS on whatever.
All the little things.
This is the one thing.
Like,
winning a Stanley Cup is so difficult.
You guys playing in the game know and understand,
like, how truly difficult it is.
But there's so much.
more to it than every player on the ice.
It truly does.
It takes a village and we all got to play our part.
I played my part in game three.
Gandal, you play your part.
Biz is doing his thing.
You're doing your thing from the other.
I'm so sick of this fucking shit.
I can't believe that this team,
I can't believe, I cannot believe,
and you will not admit it,
but if I told you they'd be up three nothing
in the Western Conference final,
uh,
23 days before the playoffs,
started, you would have said you're fucking crazy
and you know it and you won't admit it.
Why won't I admit it?
Because you're a fucking lunatic fan
which I respect which is what makes hockey so special.
Look at the ad fans.
They didn't even think this would be a series.
Everyone's lunatics.
Look at when the Oilers are on.
I almost had a fucking brain aneurism
when I was yelling about the no goal against the ducks.
This is fandom.
But you have to understand that what's happened in Vegas.
This is beyond like your
wedgey little head.
hand signal that you did. This is black magic.
Oh, you were cursing. I bet too.
I was doing the point point point.
The Odinger. It's just crazy.
Like I, and showed out torts, but
we haven't even really mentioned, I think Biz gave
the stats, but they have,
their goalie. He's the fifth
fastest goalie in NHL history to 20
playoff wins. Like, he's fucking
unbeatable right now.
I mean, so like, what?
I had texted you,
I'd say what, two months ago, two
and a half months ago in that group
I've lost all confidence. I've lost all hope. Everything switches when when they fire Cassidy.
And I gave them time. I wasn't going to like go straight into it. We beat Vancouver and
Calgary. Who cares? It was beating you guys. It was beating Edmonton,
albeit like you're not your best and everything. But that was the first one where I'm like,
we're finally playing a different game, a different style. There's some passion there. There's life.
They had been so stale. It'd been such a sloth.
from January to the middle of March.
And then we beat Colorado, too.
And I think the fourth or fifth game under Torts.
And Colorado's got the league wrapped up at that point, right?
So it's whatever.
But that meant a lot to us.
I think the turning point in this, I mean, we haven't lost since,
but the turning point in this postseason has been game five against Anaheim is just
completely stepping on their throat.
They scored the light goal to force overtime,
and that's Eichel cross-creased the door of Fayev.
And everything from there has changed.
We've been dominant ever since, clicking ever since.
And bloody, you called it last night before the game.
You said William Carlson, Roll.
And Merles has said also he is maybe the straw that stirs the drink with this team.
He just missed so much.
He looks incredible.
That's like when Dave was getting all the hate on wake-up bar still for the bet,
that's just that you remember this is why he says we're going to get William Carlson back he's coming back
Well then Gary told us he wasn't sure and he played six hours later
Yeah Gary Gary you know
Shout to Mr. Lalas he had a crazy quote last night too I don't know if you saw that
No what was it you gotta go this Twitter and find it because I don't remember it
Word for word but he was losing his mind
On the door fee of no goal no no just at the end of the game I think he said holy
fun.
Okay.
And so,
Gary's quote was,
I get paid to talk.
Keep your money.
I'm speechless.
I've never seen anything like this.
Wow.
That guy would take a bullet for that.
Everything's just coming together and like,
and hurdle,
who's a laughing stock for 40 games
I felt like that.
That guy and Malinski,
who's a hell of a player,
he just bit outside.
And the best part about it wasn't the toe drag
or the move laterally.
It was, he ripped that backhand as it was still moving to the right.
It was like a one-time backhand.
It was like a dry saddle paddle, bubble hockey paddle.
Yeah, on a pass to himself.
Another one where Wedgwood's caught leaning.
And granted, that was just an incredible goal, but they got that with what, eight minutes to go, maybe 10 minutes to go.
And I was like, oh, my God, they're going to fucking do this.
And you must have just been going.
I can't imagine the Blutman heart rate, which doesn't go above 85 usually.
Ever.
No, they were grilling me.
about that right before I was doing the siren, the guy who plays the night mask.
I was, are you hyped? Are you like, are you sure you're out?
They make fun of me for his all time. My heart rate always stays the same.
But yes, I'm very excited. I'm very hyped. I'm a big deal. I understand it.
Before hurdles scored, I'd say it was a minute before hurdle scored. I'm in the seats.
I'm just thinking myself, I mean, we're just going to go to overtime.
And the only way that this story ends is if they score right in front of us and they start.
jumping into the boards in front with me and
Lucie. I thought that was the only way it was going to end.
It's just an incredible run.
Is that a common thing where somebody rings it
before the third period too? Or without a special
occasion ring because you were in the building?
So they do, they do like a celebrity or an athlete
for first period. Second period is a season ticket
holder. Then third period is just anyone.
You're not just anyone. You're not just anyone. I mean,
I don't know if you guys caught the
of Blutman's pump-up speech to the UCLA football team.
Oh, yeah.
Outstanding.
I signed up for Pop Warner.
I mean, I could have ran through a brick wall after seeing that speech.
And so no surprise, Vegas gets it done in the third.
But Blutman, you'll appreciate this one.
I'm sure you might be aware, but I don't know if Biz and Keith are.
So they had 13 blocks in game three.
This article I read says that would give them 255 in the playoffs and 52 in this series.
I think it might be a little less based on how I counted,
but that was the article in the athletic.
And it kind of became a story
because Torz was asked about his saying in the room.
He's like, what are he talking about?
And they said, the boys say that you said
that it hurts more if it goes by you.
And he was hilarious.
He's like, I never said that.
He was stone-faced.
I didn't say that.
Was he lying or was he telling the truth?
Well, no.
It turns out John Stevens had said it first,
like joking around almost,
but then the players took it as like a mantra.
And I don't know if John Stevens was joking.
Maybe like in a way, but it is true.
Like, hey, buddy.
It hurts a lot more seeing the red light go on.
Oh, fuck, yeah.
Unless you're McKinnon and it hits you and you can't play the rest of the game.
But they are blocking shots.
That is a torts staple right there.
It's a Dave King special too.
Remember Kinger?
Loose pucks and ice bags.
Loose pucks and ice bags.
Especially if you're a PK coach, right?
Because that's when you really have to block shots.
Now, buddy, that Vegas team,
they are one of the best team at fronting pucks
and getting in front of guys in front of the net
and just eating them and eating them and eating them.
And that's why, like, you, some of the moves they've made, like, people, all of a sudden,
because they're so evil and people are like, oh, they got handed that team on a silver platter
because of the expansion draft.
Like, people are just trying to drag this organization down.
And the more hate, it's an easy to hate group is it's an easy to hate group.
I know, but the more it happens and the more people hate and even these Leafs fans still going
after Mitch, like, oh, you never performed.
They're still fucking crying.
Just let it go.
It'll feel better if you just let it go and embrace it.
It's,
what it is is it's pure genius from management to the moves they made,
to the guys they brought in to things that other organizations wouldn't have done.
Like Carter Hart probably could have been signed from other teams and people didn't want to go near it.
Well,
what do they do?
They don't care.
They don't give a fine fuck.
Jack Eichel, how did they pull that one out of their ass?
They got that one done.
They just keep getting it done.
They keep getting it done.
that there was probably some fucking tampering on that
Marner signing. You remember all that noise.
You remember all that fucking noise with your team.
But you know what?
They got them.
There was no penalty.
Now, in the process of this run,
have they lost the second round draft pick and got the coach find 100K?
They don't care.
They're going to get it back for letting Cassidy talk to a team.
As Blutman says, he goes,
the draft picks don't matter.
They give us seven of them every single year and we'll keep moving them.
So at some point, I'm pretty sure this team's going to be horrible.
I don't know when, but when it does happen, I'll thrive.
But I can't not tip my cap right now.
I can't do it.
I have to be honest.
And through my hatred, as business saying, just let it go and say, I hate you so much,
but you're going to be in the cup finals again.
Nine years, they're going to be in three cup finals.
And if they go on to win, Mitch Marner, who right now is leading the Kahn-Smith race,
don't kid yourself.
I would say.
If he goes and gets a guy, he, if he goes and gets, you,
gets that Kahn-Smith and then gets the cup
and brings it back to Toronto.
That is something I can really get behind.
The script writers. The script writers
are exhausted. They're going to need a
four-month layoff. They shouldn't even
start the start of the season next year. They
should get the first 15 games off.
And Bluntman, when you're at that cup party,
can you apologize to him
for me from the bottom of my heart?
I am so sorry for driving
him out of Toronto. Maybe
he'll end up like, the win will have him
be like, all right, Biz, I don't, you're in nothing.
He's stanking you, based.
What are we talking about?
Yeah, no shit.
Fired up as the happiest guy in the world.
Blutman.
I'm itchy for Mitchie.
We have a couple of, yeah, itchy for Micky.
It's a problem saying we do have a couple other guests.
So I'll give you one final word or rant or what you want to get off your chest leading into game for.
All right.
I got my pillow here too where one went away from truly being the pillow fight champions of the world.
Everyone was saying that we've got this.
easy path, whatever, whatever.
I don't care. Colorado got to play
LA. Colorado got to play a team that might
be OT merchants and Minnesota.
That needs more free space on the ice.
It doesn't matter to me.
This is an incredible team. There's been so many
similarities to 2023.
We've got the top three leaders and hits
this postseason. Absolutely asserting
our will, asserting our dominance.
They're dominating
the board battles, all the puck battles
on the boards this series. They are
dominating Colorado. I think that's a massive
of reason that we're up 3-0.
We just wanted more.
You mentioned the quote that
Stevens created.
I know Dylan Coughlin's been using that a lot.
A few years ago it was hurts to win.
My thing, you gotta be lucky to be good.
All these little mantras.
It takes a village.
We're all playing our part.
We're all doing our thing.
Last thing I want to say,
they're keeping Colorado out of any high danger chances.
I don't care what the analytics say.
When you're what, they're really not getting great looks.
Nothing in the middle.
out on the perimeter.
It's all easy for Carter and makes saves.
Seeing behind the glasses crazy, too,
I don't understand how these goleys do.
There's so much traffic.
Yeah.
It's unbelievable.
There's, there's the,
by the way,
Caldalen.
Al Pacino quote in,
in any of them.
And then there's Liam Blutman signing off
spitting chicklet after being up 3-0.
And one is the same thing.
Last one I got for him.
Well, by the way, Coglin,
He had an assist in plus two in 11 minutes playing.
Cole, Saar.
Colossar came up with a big goal.
I was going to ask you from watching this team closely.
We know the big names.
And a lot of them have stepped up throughout this playoff.
But who's the one guy you don't think has gotten enough recognition,
who's almost like the unsung hero where you're like, wow, that was such a good ad.
Or like, who are you like, that's my guy who hasn't been getting enough credit.
You can shout out right now.
I mean, you've done with Doubtor,
with what he's brought to the table.
Someone who wasn't an acquisition,
just a day one guy, Brian McNabb.
I mean, he was out for a few games,
but that's a hard and sole player.
When I think about the cup team,
I think about Alec Martinez and all the pucks that he ate,
Brian McNabb does the same thing.
Having them out is such a big loss.
It's crazy that we were able to just win casually without him,
but the presence that he makes you feel the hits the Hill way,
like Brandon McNabb is just a hard and soul guy.
I probably have to say him.
And you know what?
Lucie point that's out too in warmups.
Keegan Colesar commanded the warmup.
Like he's never coming out for wine.
I can't do this.
I can't do this right.
No, I know.
I'm going full Gary Lawless.
Keith and Coles are commanded the warm up way.
It's something you guys see him.
Oh, he was the guy that passed to the half moon.
Oh, yeah.
Like, oh, yeah.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, yeah.
The giggles they were having.
Congrats, Buttman.
Get them off.
Congrats,
Bucking team to see it.
Thanks, guys.
Also, you mentioned the Athletics.
Sorry, real quick.
You mentioned the athletic?
28 of their experts picked the Avalanche.
One picked the Knights, so good for them, no, hockey.
Okay.
All right, bloody.
We got a cup to win.
Show us the pillow.
What a guy.
If I'm at a close-out game, I'm bringing a pillow.
Yeah.
Fuck you.
See you, Bloody.
We love you, buddy.
Thank you so much.
Thank you so much.
Great guy.
Just a ball of energy, too.
You guys know Bloody.
You love Bloody.
How can you not?
You know, if you hate your, you can hate his team.
You can't hate him.
Hate us because they ain't this.
We have Trip Tracy coming on right now.
This guy, he must be feeling great after game too.
But before that, we got to talk Draft Kings, boys.

Blutman likes to rinse his team's balls wait till we get this guy on there's nobody but this guy respects the
opponents that's true i'm gonna be honest with that trip respects his opponents blutman doesn't he's a sick
sick man trip is professional in a way and bring him on to my screen right now because i got to ask him
about that oh trip that overtime celebration with you and your guy and and correct me uh what
What's his name again?
I'm sorry, but you guys were fired up.
And Biz said you got credit for the couple hits on the sheet after that.
You did.
You got the score sheet.
Well, good to see you guys.
And when they introduced the booth cam, you know, I mean, I had no idea would turn into what it has.
And just being myself, and what I appreciate you there and a pretty darn good looking setup in Puerto Rico.
I mean, I have always, you know, jumped in the trench.
with the hurricanes, but I pride myself on being objective. And, you know, I sit here and think about
when Keith Yandel during his Iron Man streak, I can't remember he was playing for Florida at the time,
and he had to go get some dental work. And I probably spent half a period when he returned in that
game in Rowley singing his praises. So I appreciate you saying that. You know, you're in Puerto Rico.
I'm thinking about the best player on Montreal through two games. It wasn't Puerto Rico,
but another sunny locale. I spent a couple consecutive days with Josh.
Anderson. Can the canes cool hit? What a great guy. Can the canes cool him off?
I'll tell you, they did. Well, they didn't because he had those two huge goals in game two, but they
were able to come out with a win. I want to ask you this. The game, game one, and we haven't even,
we haven't been on since game one. So we have both games to talk about a meltdown. A meltdown,
but also like, I totally got it. Like, even though they scored quick, like that many days off,
and Slavin, who never plays bad, having the worst game of his career, I get it. And we'll get into
that game. But game two, Carolina dominated the game, but once I saw the numbers, some
Canadians fans are saying it wasn't as bad as it maybe looked on the stat sheet. Do you agree with
that or do you think that was complete hurricanes domination? I'm back here in Montreal in the
mail room right now. And, you know, I haven't been in a playoff series here in 20 years and
blessed to call a couple of really good ones in 2002 and 2006. 2006.
six when the hurricanes ended up winning the Stanley Cup the first round they were down two
nothing to these Montreal Canadians they started a rookie and Cam Ward when we came here and the
reason I bring that up is because I thought that even though the hurricanes won and six it took until
game five to show a semblance of what their game should look like and you know that's what
encouraged me most about game two is that the Hurricanes game looked the way it was supposed to look
and you know I probably put as much stock into that boys as I do with the fact that
Eelers found a way to win in an overtime because you just don't have the runway to you know
in the case of 20 years ago in my opinion wait until game five and so to see a look after the
break after how poorly it looked especially defensively in game one to look the way it did
in game two that made and makes me hopeful that was probably one of the biggest storylines we
talked about at the desk going into game two where the guys making the money for
Carolina had to step up right I think it's been a little underwhelming for a ho's fetch and
I think that Jarvis's game has picked up maybe the overall points haven't been there but for
eelers like that big offseason acquisition signing him to over 50 million and and him getting
those two goals and and especially that OT one he was very emotional after the game I guess his
father had had traveled in for the game and gave him some very encouraging
words beforehand before he left for the rink and he was he was he was very very emotional
post game in that interview did he say what he what he said to him or no no he kept it between him
he just basically i think that that you know elers was like fighting it a little bit right he wants to
contribute offensively he loves this group of guys and even as we were doing the interview trip
a few guys were walking by and they kind of just gave him that like grab on the shoulder and
you could just tell this group really loves one another yeah yeah boy he
Eelers, and if you want to circle back to the Diahoe line after Biz,
because they're going to need to be particularly good on the road.
But I'll stick with Eilers.
I remember right before the hurricanes signed him,
and he chose Carolina because he had some big-time suitors.
I mean, and certainly think, you know, right nearer at the top of that list,
the Washington Capitals.
And, you know, that's a big moment that Nikola Eelers chose the hurricanes.
And I remember Paul Maurice calling me,
because Paul coached a lot of his career.
And Paul told me, he said he's going to be a perfect fit.
And the other thing that Paul told me,
and I think he referenced, I don't know if it was a regular season game or a playoff game,
but he said, Tripp, he has no problem when there's no room and things get physical.
And he referenced, I think that Eilers, when he was a jet challenge,
Ryan Getslap at one point in time.
And, you know, so, you know, what I've liked most about Nikolai Eilers is,
A, Carolina has had an abundance of trouble scoring big goals at big times and specifically,
historically, in Eastern Conference final.
But I've watched in the playoffs so far when teams try to get physical on him, he responds
immediately and his game seems to elevate.
So he's been a perfect fit.
And it was on display for him to have that emotion and talking to your Turner Crew after
the game biz and to do it with his dad there who was a coach in Switzerland.
Heinz, I believe is his name, has been a.
forever coach and really a Danish legend, but to do it in front of the huge KNAX was
was visibly meaningful to a guy that's fit in beautifully.
And another thing too, like to not complain that he's on the third line.
Like I love how they're able to distribute.
And, you know, they got two snow plows on that line and Martinuk and stall guys who can
create space win the board battles.
But like for him to be put on that third line and not bitch, it seems like that's a,
that's a pretty selfless thing, right?
for a guy who's making that much money
and who's probably played top six most of his career.
And quickly trip,
I just want to mention,
I was surprised that they went to stall
against Suzuki in game two.
They didn't have it in game one.
It was a kind of soft aho.
It wasn't a hard line matchup.
They go to stall and I'm like, oh, geez.
Which, by the way, Stahl's 37 years old.
He's a beast.
And the way Brindamor talks about him,
he calls him Jordo, which cracks me up.
Jordo, yeah, Jordo, you just know what you're getting from him.
But,
I think that's going to be a lot tougher than Suzuki Slavkovsky and Caulfield playing against Aho's line.
Like, I'd much rather that if I'm them than the way Stahl can just clog it up.
Well, you may be in San Juan or wherever you are with, but you dialed.
I'm buzzing.
You're buzzing.
I'm buzzing.
And so two quick things.
Number one, I don't know if I shared it with you guys before.
What a story, Vegas is when the hurricanes were in Vegas in October.
I think Eelers was just about pointless.
I know he was goalless in October.
In October, Paul Stassney, I have supreme respect for his hockey IQ and for him flat out as the first and played with Eilers in Winnipeg.
He sent me a text in October and said, Tripper, I think that the best fit for Eilers is going to be with Jordan Stahl and Jordan Bardenoke.
And he explained why.
That was in October.
So when Paul Stassney says something to me, you know, I think you guys have either had E.J or you're going to have EJ on.
I got to know guys like Eric Johnson, Paul Stassany, and a Colorado Minnesota series I did about 10 years ago for NBC.
And Stassney's IQ is through the roof.
So was he dead right?
You bet he was.
He said that in October.
And with regards to the Aho line, that's why I think it's time.
It's got to be time right now because if I'm Marty San Luis with last change, you know, I am getting the Suzuki line away from Georgia Stahl.
And, you know, Sebastian Ajo, along with Jarvis and Svatchen,
I actually thought they're better.
The two games was game one in that route for Montreal.
They were the one bright spot.
They're going to have to be complete, period.
End of story.
Especially if they spend a good amount of time against Suzuki, Kofi, and Slovkovsky.
I was just going to say, you know, you guys held Montreal to five shots through two.
Like, when you look at a Carolina team and you know that they're playing well, they're playing
the way that they need to do to win, it's the shot totals.
They're going to get way more than the other team.
I think they finished with 12.
Montreal finished with 12.
But like you think they can do that on the road in a building like Montreal
because it's a little bit tougher when you have last change.
You know, to do it at home is a little bit easier.
But to do it on the road,
do you think they can go out and do that tonight?
No.
As a matter of I spent some time with Rod Brindamore
and several members of the coaching staff last night
when we arrived here in Montreal.
And I know they anticipate that Montreal is going to have a higher shot volume.
And Keith, my hope is that that's going to be a very good thing for Frederick Anderson.
I mean, I look at game two in particular, you know, you almost have to have played the
goaltending position to just recognize how incredibly hard it is when you're not seeing any shots.
You're looking down and, you know, if you're not mentally strong, you're like, I don't want to be
the weak link.
Your mind can become the instantaneously the biggest enemy.
And within that third period, I know Josh Anderson tied the game, but Freddie made some
quality saves. And so I'm hoping, Keith, that that's going to springboard and here and, you know,
out playing Dobish here on the road because, yeah, I think like Rod Brindamore anticipates,
that shot volume's going to be higher. I couldn't believe Svetnikov before game two said we were
completely dominating them and we're going to dominate them tonight. I was like, whoa,
and then they went out and they, they did. I mean, they got to win. Now, the slot shots is, I read,
It was 9 to 7 Carolina.
So in terms of like the shot number,
it was a little different like grade A scoring chances.
But another guy, my guy,
who was all over me after I picked Ottawa to win.
Then he texted me all over biz after Biss and Philly to win.
Taylor Hall, he has now taken out
Sanderson in the Ottawa series,
Sanheim in the Philly series,
and he gets Hudson with a good one.
Hudson's fine.
He's already on the ice.
He was on the ice his standard 30 minutes before the Canadians this morning.
But he's got that physical.
I let he do his game right now.
Okay, boys.
You know, and how many private conversations have we had, okay,
for years now about the hurricanes, you know,
at this time of year, need to get heavier,
they need to get tougher, individually, and as a group.
And so far, I haven't liked Tawesi's games one and two,
like I beyond loved, you know,
every game against Ottawa and Philadelphia.
To the point where he almost,
he got taken off that line for a,
couple shifts I noticed. Yeah, he, you know, if I were to rank Carolina's lines in, in game two,
it would be the stall line and then this X factor of a fourth line where you remember every
millisecond that Jankowski, Carrier, and Robinson are on the ice. With that being said,
even within, I need to see a relocation of Stan Cove and Blake and Hall here on the road tonight.
Thus far, he is the Sam Bennett of the playoffs for Carolina, where he's not going to win any
publicity contest with opposing fans, but is it desperately what Carolina has needed?
You bet your ass it is.
And so, I mean, I think Taylor Hall has, I think I've spoken to you guys about it before.
Professionally personally, he's already become, in approaching 30 years, one of my favorite
hurricanes and that heaviness, that sandpaper, the fact that he's public enemy number one,
he's Sam Bennett of the playoffs so far.
And I happen to be completely in love with that because it's been lacking in years past.
Another guy who has impressed me a lot.
And, you know, if you look at their back in, you're probably not going to think of him first, but Chatfield.
Yeah, I was going to bring him up.
The play that he made in the overtime game, just recognizing that Montreal needed to change the, I think it was Kappinan who didn't get it deep.
He just makes a nice little simple play getting it up.
But he's been awesome, all playoffs.
And I just want you to stroke him off a little bit.
with how good he's been for that group,
because he's not a guy that gets a ton of love.
He often leads their team in Ice Time,
which I found surprising too.
I think he was plus three with two assists in game two as well.
The veterans that you guys are,
and I'm going to tell Jalen when I get on the bus to go to the hotel,
what you said, Keith,
because not alone, let alone from a former player,
but a defenseman.
I mean, that's the strongest compliment that one can receive.
Jalen Chadfield, the biggest praise that I can give Jalen, he's a pure Michiganer.
He's from Michigan like me, is that every game that he plays, I don't care if it's in the
preseason or here the conference final.
He's trying to prove that he belongs in the National Hockey.
And that is the most impressive thing.
This is a great athlete, like a tremendous athlete that had a tremendous bounceback game in
Jacob Slaven, that's his partner.
but every game that Chadfield plays with his preparation and his intensity, aside from his God-given talents,
he's playing like he needs to show everyone that he belongs in the National Hockey League.
And, you know, Carolina had a terrific start to that overtime period.
And if I had any concern, if Montreal was going to win in overtime, it was going to be early.
And right from the stall line and the opening faceoff of overtime, the hurricanes dominated the overtime period.
And Jalen Chadfield just did not allow Caputin and company to take a breath.
You know, you got a couple of the fedsmen, including Dobson, going for a change.
He makes the play.
I mean, Jan Khalkowski finishes a shift in ideal fashion to get it to Eilers and Eilers ends the night.
But Jalen Jafield wasn't available, along with another Ritey and Sean Walker in the conference final against Florida last year.
You know, that's the Stanley Cup championship Florida team.
With the series have been different, nobody will ever know.
But I know you didn't have a chance when you didn't have Chadfield and Walker on the
right side. Let's talk about, I want to talk about slave and just a little bit more because like he was like he
ate at the game one and then has an unreal bounce back game and I, Jackie Redmond interviewed him after the
game and you don't often hear a lot of hockey players like talk about their faith and like he's pretty
open about it. And I would imagine being around him. He just seems like the like the perfect person like a type
of guy you want on a team. And I just want you to talk about like what what it's been like being around
and a guy who's obviously one of the best defensive defensemen in the league.
And to have a bounce back game like that contribute offensively and then have a post-game
interview like that.
Biz, I'll tell you a story.
I don't share very often.
But just over four years ago, in April of 2022, I missed a game drinking in New York.
I haven't had a drink since.
The hurricane stood behind me.
And I flew back to Raleigh.
Jacob flew with the team. They won the division that night at Madison Square Garden. He flew back with the team. I stayed in New York and Jacob Slavin offered a fly back by himself to fly back to Raleigh with me. That's the type of person that Jacob is. Now, as an analyst, so in aside from hockey, he has been very central in my journey with regards to faith. But as an analyst, I think just as an analyst, I think that it is,
a colossal part of his defensive greatness.
I mean, here I am in Montreal where, you know,
he really put himself on the map in the Four Nations
with the first couple of games being in Montreal
before going to Boston.
And because his faith is so unshakable,
he has an element of self-belief in his abilities
that after a game that I simply haven't seen
from number 74 as a hurricane in game one,
just as an analyst that faith and depth to his self-belief allows him to grab the moment
and not let the moment grab him.
So just breaking it down as an analyst, his faith that he speaks about so openly and is
obviously his number one priority in life, just as a hockey player, I believe is his best
asset aside from the fact that he's just a gifted athlete and he's a,
brilliant mind. But I think it's his faith that allows him to grab the moment.
I let the moment grab him on most nights.
Awesome.
I love hearing that because it's all about taking away time and space.
And then the first time you see him live, you're like, I think he's one of the fastest
skaters in the league.
Like people would laugh at that.
Then you see him.
You're like, holy shit.
And then guys talk about that.
But I want to ask about another guy.
Because I think if you told Kane's fans and hockey fans that they'd be nine and one,
through the first 10 games of the playoffs
and Aho would have three goals
and two assists in those 10 games.
Two of which are empty netters.
You'd say no way, right?
And I'm wondering what obviously
the Stankham and Hall, Blake line, had really carried them
and he didn't have to.
To win the cup, he's going to have to.
I'm wondering what you're seeing.
Is it gripping the stick?
Because once it starts going bad,
it snowballs a little like, as an analyst,
as you mentioned, what are you seeing
that's different from his usual game?
I don't think that, listen, he's one of the fiercest competitors that I've ever seen.
Yeah, he's got some rat in him too, which is pretty good.
Which is what I love.
And he, you know, but I think there is another level.
And I think you've gotten to the point where it has to be there tonight.
And when I look at Sebastian, like I just looked at the face off numbers of game two.
and Suzuki was 50%.
Dino was 50%.
I would take that for the rest of the series
and run for the hills
when you look at the lefty and Deneau
and the righty and Suzuki.
I bring that up because Sebastian Aho,
when he plays his best games,
how he does in the face-off circle
is a direct barometer
as to whether or not he's going to be on the score sheet,
whether or not he's going to be complete,
and when he has played his best best games,
I mean, he's a minimum of 55% in the face-off circle.
And when he's really rolling, he's north of that.
He was in the 40s in game two.
I didn't mind his game one.
And if he draws Suzuki, if Marty San Luis wants that,
his mindset has got to be.
I'm not thinking about points.
There is going to be no cheat in my game.
It's a successful night if we keep that line off the board.
And I always believe when you don't have cheat,
you produce more offense.
And so that's five on five.
I did think that the hurricanes power play,
the one they had in the second and then the third period,
took some positive steps.
But I think there's a lot more room for guys like Alho,
whoever's got the puck on the goal line,
for his group to attack the puck on their toes without hesitation
as to see which power play is going to get going first in this series.
So that's just touching upon what I'm looking for at five on five.
and also on the power play,
it seems like he has the most confidence
in any dimension right now short-handed.
It seems like he's created more chances
short-handed with Jarvis than he has
in the other dimensions of the game.
I think we've gotten to a point where he needs to be Sebastian Ajo.
This is the team that, you know,
the offer sheet was involved.
He has a history against Montreal of producing.
The time's got to be now, in my opinion.
The last one I had is just like,
obviously if you get to the conference finals
at some point in time,
have to have depth step up.
And you mentioned them earlier.
That Jankowski, Robinson and Carrey line, like that, they are unbelievable.
And, you know, they're a team that if you look most nights, they're in the 11-minute
range.
And every time they go out there and they make an impact, obviously they reward a Janowski.
They just re-up them.
But what is it about them?
How are they able to have such good chemistry?
And really, if they, you know, they have a few bad shifts, Ronald throw them out there
and they're able to turn the tide,
it seems like most times they go out there.
And they've obviously been producing offensively for this run.
Well, I think collectively, Biz,
that they can feel the trust and the value from the coach.
I think that's a factor.
And I looked at the sheet after the first period,
after the second period, after the third period,
and then when I went home on Saturday night,
and I swore they played more.
That's how, that's to what degree I remembered every millisecond of every shift that they had.
So quickly touching on all three guys.
Will Carrier.
I mean, my gosh, has he been good when he won the Stanley Cup with Vegas?
No doubt about it, hands down.
His best series was the conference final against Dallas,
where I thought he was a huge part of the Golden Knights,
even get into the final where they beat Florida.
So he's got a history in conference final.
It's a classic story that Will Carrier has said,
even his wife being from Quebec,
has rooting for the Montreal Canadiens.
He's been outstanding.
Eric Robinson, I still think, is scratching the surface when you look at his size, his speed, ultra-likable teammate.
I like the fact that he's shooting in stride from a distance here so far in this series.
He flies.
He flies, and I like on Dobish.
I like that blocker location.
You know, he scored there in game one.
That's where Ealer scored.
That's where Jarvis scored.
Jordan Stahl hit the post.
But, you know, Robinson recognized, oh, by.
a week or two from free agency that the grass isn't greener because I think he would have made more
in free agency, but it's tough to be in a spot where a coach believes in you like Robbrennimore does and
Eric Robinson. I think Eric Robinson realized that what a signing that was. Speaking of signings,
I thought it was really smart to extend Jankowski between series because he has had a ton of chances.
He's had two goals taken off the board so far in these playoffs. And you never know. You guys played
the game. You'd know better than me.
but signing him, extending him, which I think is a great value for the hurricanes,
might settle those hands now that that's taken care of just enough
that that could be the difference now that that extension is in place.
So I thought that was really smart by the hurricanes in his particular case
to get the Swiss Army knife that he is extended between the second and now the conference final.
Tripp, we appreciate it, buddy.
Legend.
It's going to be a good one.
And Jan Kowski, I mean, he won the, he won.
won at Providence. I remember seeing him then.
And I was like, this kid's good. And he's changed
his game to be in the NHL, but
a hell of a player and the team looks good.
But we'll see what happened at the Bell
Center. Montreal's 2 and 4.
I mean, the can't have been lost on the road yet.
So we'll see if that stays true
or Montreal can flip it. We appreciate it.
I might have to come find you in the press
box and get a couple shoulder checks.
Get on the score sheet tonight.
Biz, do that.
Thank you for having me, guys.
You're the best. Have a great day.
You're the best trip.
See a trip.
Before we get to Eric Johnson,
quickly, I just wanted to talk.
Capitan's out tonight.
So it's already been announced.
I think it sounds like Valeno's coming back in,
but I was reading the part of the press conference
after game two that was interesting.
It was in French.
A reporter asked St. Louis about the line that was out there for overtime.
It was both Duke, Doc, and Capitin.
Now, they were out there for the goal against in Tampa.
They were out there for the OT winner against
Tampa game six and then it happens again and I guess so St. Louis said I don't know but why are you
asking me that and then the reporter mentioned like well you had the fourth line on the ice and
Eiler scored he's like yes they were out there and then he just got up and left so like Marty wasn't
happy with that I think they mentioned it was the last question okay that wasn't in the article
that was coming but hey don't let the truth get in the way of the truth get in the way of it
We put a little salt and pepper on this bad boy.
And then he spiked the water bottle in his face,
the one that he grabbed from the desk on the way out.
It was a body armor water bottle, by the way.
But here's another thing too,
and I think this was brought up.
Like,
like they had fucking 12 shots on net.
Like,
it's not like anybody was going that unbelievable.
And the fucking bottom six for Montreal
has been tremendous so far in this playoffs.
Like, give me a break, right?
Yeah, but you do have,
but Capon and scored 22 goals.
He hasn't looked like he's a little,
a fish out of water, I think, in games.
And then that play, like,
I think it was like the third or fourth time.
Like, I didn't get it deep in OT, dude.
Yeah.
That's a soft play right there.
But also, to be fair,
in, like, earlier in the playoffs, when Doc made that mistake,
they, after game two and they lost,
they stuck with it coming home.
So I would, I don't, listen,
obviously, it's like, it's a different player.
And maybe there were other things over the course of that game
or the first few games where he was, like,
trying to tell him and still made the same repeated mistake.
But going back to the Tampa series,
a little bit of contrast in the sense of re-instilling that confidence
in a guy who made a mistake to now all of a sudden
another guy's coming in.
I think that one, like you can tell, like he heard footsteps
and he kind of got a little shaky instead of like,
you can tell as like a, you know, player,
he just kind of got a little shaky and heard footsteps,
tried to get it in.
Like, that has to get in.
But you know what we haven't talked about is the Blake tow pick.
like wait you love it you love it it was right before uh the Anderson goal and then
halls he turned it up but Blake was skating up the ice blatantly by himself
that's right on the two on two they come back down it was in all time
to pick I was glad they ended up winning the game because no one wants to be on that
that side of it but a good toe pick I thought I know you and you and
you and scuds love a good and Anderson by the way that was like the sign of like
what is Ajo doing Anderson made Ajo look like a 10 year old in front of the net on that
tying goal and I'm awesome
tried to hit him.
Yeah, that's not the play.
I don't think you're trying to hit Anderson.
Just go stick on stick, bud.
He's a fridge.
Guys, a mutant.
Hey, if you go back to the Eler's goal, too, the first one, by the way, that was a fucking nasty goal.
It looks like he almost toe picks, but the fact that he's got a stick on the ice,
it's almost like he uses it to stay up.
Like, if you go back and rewatch that, it looks like he hits a rut and his toe goes into
the ice, but he's able to keep his footing.
And he goes right between the wickets on Caulfield.
and then slides at five hole and dole this show incredible goal incredible game by euthers but boys we need to
uh we need to go to our next guess and essentially write an obituary oh man that's gonna hurt him but
before we get to uh eric johnson our guy we got to talk noble this episode is brought to you by

And some shoes don't do it.
And Noble's Journey 2s do.
So take it outside.

Puerto Rico i'm in Puerto Rico you're picking
avocados and where is that callie
yeah monocito
wow you know what miss he sounds sad
he sounds sad he is
is he planning a golf trip for the
no i think the horses are cheering him up you must be doing
something with the horses there yes yes yes
going to san anita today boys i got milarchuk
maybe after milar chuck today
in the sanita gold cup so i'm
that's a great name for a horse dude that's a
Awesome. We got to know Clint.
Yep, he's by Nyquist.
So he's running today at San Anita, so I'm going to pop down to San Anita for the afternoon.
And hopefully, hopefully cheer him home.
But yeah, I am a little down right now for sure.
That's not how you draw it up and through the abs.
And it's like I can I could see how, like, you could maybe give him a pass if it's just a four to three loss or five to three loss.
But when you're up three to nothing like that, like, and then you lose with scoring five straight, like that's a tough way.
lose, right? Like, that's, that's tough. Like, their, their, their heart got ripped out of them last night.
I don't see how you recover. And, and Bednar said after like, yeah, everyone's just so down in the
room, obviously, but I got to go on the other side to you as a guy who played for torts.
Is this not the perfect situation for him coming in and just like, he's got to flip it.
You got to get into the playoffs first, but there's not going to be the camp Torterella.
There's not going to be the 82 game grind. It's just like him back.
in the boys, it seems, and you dealt with him in a different way, but do you not see how this
fits in perfectly with, like, his personality and persona as a coach?
Absolutely, and I think I've talked to him a little bit down the stretch, and I'm sure you've
heard him say it in the media, but in Philly, he kind of had to babysit a little bit, right?
Young team, guys that didn't know how to navigate themselves through the league, and he steps
into a proven, bona fide winning team that just needed a little bit of direction to steer the ship,
and that's what he's done.
And his presence in front of a team is so mesmerizing.
Like when he speaks, you're just like, as far as I'm concerned,
like you are so locked in and what he's saying.
And I find him so fascinating to listen to when you go into a team like he has in Vegas,
it just needed a little, like a little tweak in the right direction.
And I think he can wear out as welcome in certain situations,
but I don't see it happening because even if he's there long,
term. He's a guy that trusts the players if he's, if they're in a situation where he's,
they've earned his trust. And I think those guys have based on what they've done in the past.
EJ, do you think it has something to do with him being a, like him, him going into the Olympics and
being an assistant coach and not having to be the head coach and just being a guy to, you know,
be at the shoulder or lean on, whatever. But it seems like every guy when we talk to them after
the Olympics was like, dude, he was unbelievable as an assistant coach.
Like was there making jokes, having fun.
Like you think it changed him a little bit or he's still the same guy?
I think he's the same guy, but I don't think he's the same guy he was 10 years ago, 20 years ago.
Like as a player, you have to evolve for your career and as a coach.
You're no different.
So what I think is so amazing is he found a way to stay sharp.
Well, I mean, let's face it, a month ago, a little over a month ago, he's, you know,
eating hot dogs on the ESPN panel with Butcher-Gras and Levy, right?
And now he's coaching a team to maybe one went away from the Stanley Cup final.
Pretty incredible.
I don't think anyone sought towards coaching the NHL this year, especially when he got hired.
And I'm really happy for him because I know he was still hungry for this.
And you can tell he's pushing all the right buttons and his voice is not wearing out.
I mean, these guys clearly love playing for him.
It's obvious.
So I got to ask you, because you played for Bednar and people were trying to make a little
bit of his quote with kale macar and and how he phrased it about saying it's basic kale's decision now
what did you make of that i thought personally it was a bit of a nothing burger that spiraled out of
control what do you think knowing bednar and obviously knowing kale macar i agree biz i think this time
of year media is trying to find absolutely anything to run with right i mean i think you know
they're trying to make something out of nothing there do i think that the
abs worth saying maybe to themselves or in the back of their head like let's go kale we might
we like we need you here like maybe i don't know that for sure i'm just guessing but i think i don't
think bednar was trying to make a big deal out of it in the media wrong place wrong time not how
he operates so for me complete nothing burger like you said but at the same time i think they were
thinking like if we're going anywhere we need you you know maybe that's the obvious you
but maybe you miss the start of next season because you get a little more dinged up right now.
Who cares?
Those aren't going to win without Kail McCar.
And you could tell, obviously, by watching last night, he's probably 70, 75% at best.
Yeah, if that.
Yeah.
But that's better than a lot of guys best, right?
So I think what a steep hole the climb out of.
I mean, they're all but done, but you never know, right?
I mean, if a team can come back and win, it's these guys.
But probably no Ntuchuchin, probably no.
McCar, do they go to Blackwood?
Sorry, not No McCar, but not 100%
McCar. Do they go to Blackwood? Do they stay
with Wedgwood? I mean,
a lot of balls up in the air right now.
Tough, tough sliding in Adeland
right now. One thing I just want to quickly
say is, so you saw what Marner
said after the game about how the group stays
positive, regardless of what situation
they're in. And, you know,
sometimes it's easier said when
you have all the confidence in the world
and everything is going your way.
I do feel like
the avs are a little tight and they're not really dealing with their adversity as well as as as Vegas is does sometimes nate's intensity maybe rub guys the wrong way and force other guys to maybe grip their sticks a little tight like i know we love him for his intensity and what he brings but do you think that that if if they end up losing and getting beat out here in the conference final do you think that's something that they maybe have to evaluate and work on in order to get themselves back to winning another
Cup in the near future? Great, great question. And I think for me, Nate's not going to change.
And I think that's part of what makes him great, as you all know, but they have enough
counterbalance in that locker room to level that out. And I think a lot of it gets overblown with
Nate because he's not just going to hide it in the public eye. He's not going to hide it because
he's on camera or anything like that. But he can really uplift you and be a positive guy as well.
he's intense first but there's a lot of layers to nate that a lot of people don't see and he's not just
yelling and streaming at guys all the time you know he's he's picking guys up when they're down too so
i think they have landisog and burns and manston and nelson and all these guys that can
that can do that for nate but he's just a guy that words his heart on his sleeve but i think
you're looking at the abs now and you're looking at their core like they're getting a little bit
older here. Like how how big is their window? I don't want to say it's closing, but it's not
opening, right? So yeah, they're still in the window to win, but I mean, this is just
shot, you're so shocking to me. Like, if they, if they lost in seven, which, you know,
that's, that's a, that's a stretch right now to happen. But if say, say it was a back and forth,
you know, teams traded wins and, you know, went one, one, two, two, three, and they lose,
okay, so what? But when you get swept like this and lose game three,
like you did last night.
I mean,
a lot of questions have to be asked.
And they've already played shake up the core card with Rantanin, right?
So they've played that card.
What's the next card they play if they still feel like their windows open,
which I think it is.
But what do they do?
Is it the coach?
Is it another core shakeup?
Are they trying to tweak around the edges with guys?
I don't know.
They've revamped their goaltending and they traded Rantanin.
What's the common denominator?
I think Jared Badner is one of the best coaches in the NHL.
he gets scooped up in one second if he gets fired.
But where do they go from here if they get swept or losing five or whatever?
You know, I mean, it'll be interesting to see what happens.
Like as then you think maybe they need a little bit more tougher love, kind of like Vegas just got?
I don't know what it is exactly.
I think I think Jared Bednar is a heck of a coach.
But at the same time, if you go through the window of Laoscaug, McKinnon, and McCarr,
and you only get one cup in that whole avalanche era of their greatness,
I think that's a failure, right?
And I don't pin it on Bednar.
I think he's an awesome coach.
But where do they go from here if they lose in the conference final,
which it looks like they probably will.
You never, never say never.
You know, they could go on a historic comeback.
But what's the next move?
I'm interested to hear what you guys think there too,
because I don't know.
You played the franchise player card like you did with Ranton,
and you shake up the core.
you know, they've done everything.
What's next?
Well, the Carl situation, that's what everyone's talking about.
Yeah, that's Murrell.
They're saying he's going to coach both teams.
I don't see that happening.
I don't see Carl coming up to Denver.
Murrell's saying that, oh my God,
you, Bernard's let go.
Carl doesn't have to move and he takes over.
Seems a little crazy, but you never know.
I do think that this one's different because, yeah,
like, Rontan, it's gone.
They've made all these moves, but
and Blutman said it, our guy, there's so much luck.
You went through this.
There's so much luck that you need to have to win a Stanley Cup.
And McCar, he's been banged up since before the playoffs.
Now McKinnon's, you know, granted, it was in a game where they're trying to stay alive in a series.
And there's just a bunch of, like, bad luck that it seems like they've dealt with,
at least in the playoffs so far.
So are you looking at it like, well, if McCar is healthy, we're a completely different team?
Or is it just like everyone's bad on injuries and we have to shake something
up again. That's the question that'll be asked.
But I just can't believe, and I know you,
Aves fans didn't think this
would be a series. Like a lot of them
shouldn't put everyone under the same umbrella.
And I was like, I don't see
how they're this confident going into this
the way Vegas has looked, even though it was
the Ducks and Utah.
Yeah, and I want to mention one other thing.
You need
goaltending in the playoffs. And if
you get the hot hand, like Vegas has
gotten with Carter Haram, I mean, his numbers
are ridiculous.
And that was the one thing missing from Vegas all season long.
All their metrics were top 10 throughout the entire league.
They had the second worst or the worst five on five saved percentage until Carter Hart came
back.
So they were just missing goaltending.
And they got Hart.
And the other thing Torts does is he can empower you and give you a ton of confidence.
And that's what he's done with Carter Hart.
I know he went in there and said, Hartsey, you're my guy.
You're our number one guy.
If we're going anywhere, it's because of you.
and you can totally tell Carter Hart's playing,
like he knows how valuable he is to that team.
And that's what Torts can do.
He can tear you down,
but he can also build you up.
And so, yeah, I mean, it's, it's,
I didn't think it would be a sweep or Vegas in five,
which is looking like that's probably what it's going to be.
I mean, I thought Colorado would win in six,
but Colorado's not getting the saves.
Vegas is.
Colorado's power play has not looked good.
and Macar is at 70%.
And now you're probably looking at
Bill McKinnon next game. I guarantee you he feels worse
right now this morning.
As you guys know, that he did last night.
That's not something Norma Tex are going to fix.
No, exactly. He went in, got the shot,
tried to come out, but I don't know if you saw the play
when he came back and he got the puck coming out of his zone
into the neutral zone and he's usually gone and in two steps.
I mean, he was like swallowed up by the Vegas attack.
He could just tell he didn't have that seven.
separation in that burst. Like he for sure took it on top of the knee. And if it's a fractured
kneecap or Patela or something, like you just can, I've had that. It sucks. You just,
you don't have, you, you have nothing if that's what it is. I'm speculating, but.
Even a deep bone bruise, it's, yeah, same thing. You can't even put the weight on it. It's,
it's, it's, and yeah, his pop is what makes him like, so dominant. It's just, it's crazy. It's crazy.
What's happened. So you're going to be.
traveling for the finals with ESPN, correct?
You guys are going to be on the road?
Yep, yep.
Okay, so I'm sure you're going to be fired up.
Now, we do have to get to a rollback last question,
but I'll ask one right beforehand.
Well, let me do it before your question, buddy.
Well, mine's not hockey related, so if you want a hockey one,
okay, sure, go ahead.
That's okay.
Roeback last question.
Use code chicklets on roeback.com for a generous 20% off your first purchase
at the end of the week.
This is a rowback golf shirt, flowers on it.
I may not pull it off, but some good looking people could pull.
E.J. could pull this thing off.
It's good on you.
CHIC, L-E-T-S on R-H-O-B-A-C-K-K-com.
20% off, polos, hoodies, joggers,
and more code chickleton rollback.
Go ahead, Biz.
So any new listeners we have,
we actually had Clint Milarchuk
on our podcast.
Incredible story of resilience
and what he's doing now
with the ranch
and helping former military.
Anybody who's really struggling
get through whatever they need to,
RA actually went there for about 10 days.
You mentioned you have a horse named after him.
What's the backstory to that?
Yeah, so we bought this horse last July
out of an auction
and his sire, his father is
Nyquist and the guy bought him with his name's
Paul Reddham. He owned Nyquist
and Nyquist won the Kentucky Derby.
And so Nyquist has turned into one of the best
stallions in the world. And so this horse came up for sale.
Paul likes to buy sons of Nyquist
since he raced Nyquist and asked me to take
a quarter of share in the horse and I did
and he battled some injury issues when we bought him in July
but now he's coming back and
doing pretty well.
So we're optimistic today and he's the morning line favorite.
So $200,000 pot and we're hoping to take it home today.
And is like because he's battled through these injuries and he's on the other side?
Is that why you named him Milarchuk?
Sorry, sorry.
He was probably named before that.
Yeah, he was already named.
Someone named him, bought him out of a sale, named him Malarcheck with the Nyquist hockey tie-in.
Excuse me.
Wow.
And so we just bought him after he was named.
someone put him in a sale after he had raised and we bought him.
And it's a great name.
And we hope that he's got a big summer.
And maybe it's Saratoga and Delmar.
I am so intrigued by all the horse stuff.
Like I follow Dave Portnoy online.
We got to get Portnoy and EJ connected.
Oh, yeah.
EJ's diehard.
And obviously Dave's huge into the ponies.
But you've been crushing her on McAfee and I saw one of the,
I think it was a clip on there where,
or maybe somewhere else somebody asked you like,
oh, as your horse, like, won the derby or something,
you're like, that's like asking a golfer if he's, like, won the master.
I don't think people understand how, like, the levels it takes
and obviously same with the cup, the luck it takes.
Well, there's only 20 that run, and you have to do it before you turn four?
Only three-year-olds.
So you get one shot at it.
You're a three-year-old Colt or a Philly.
They do run Phillies in it, but you have one shot.
You have one shot at it.
And are you able to get into the race based on obviously prior race?
and placing or winning like almost a circuit to get into the derby?
It didn't used to be like that where now you have to qualify for the race.
Exactly.
It used to be based on earnings.
Now it's a tiered point system.
So there's races from October up until the derby where you qualify with points.
And the top 20 horses with the most points get in.
So if you finish first in a big race, you'll get 50 points.
If you finish second, you'll get 20.
If you finish third, you get 10.
And then, you know, the top 20 with the most points.
qualified to get in. So it's, it's tough. It's, you know, they say the, the best way to become
a millionaire in the horse business is to start with a billion. So that's what Dave, Portnoy says.
He's like, I'm poor for this game. Oh, yeah. The amount of money these guys have. So that's where
the luck comes in. Now, is Milarchuk a two-year-old? He's five. He's five. So he's, yeah, he's, he's an
older horse. He's playing a senior tour. Exactly. What race is he can win?
the road here but it's called the the hollywood gold cup and uh it's at san anita it's in the fifth
race today so so i'll be there i'll be there live on slate i'm pumped they can't wait the the quote
for mackafee where i was like damn this could be something i'd like try to get into but i'd be like
running greyhounds because i can't afford horses was like to see your horse coming around the turn
and winning a race is like the feeling you would get from scoring like an o t winner or a game
would engulf like in your own career i can't i can't relate it close enough like these two things
and you guys all know you score a huge goal in a big moment you get in a big fight you take a
you know you win a huge game it is so close if you have the horse bug and you love horse racing
i can even describe how close the feeling is to to the same as scoring a goal or like literally
winning the stanley cup and then seeing your horse when it's like some people have the exact same
feeling. I mean, the cup's a little bit better, but that adrenaline rush between the two sports
is amazing. It's it's, it's, uh, it's, uh, adrenaline junkie sport for sure. And it's a team sport too,
right? It's not just the horse and the jockey out there. Like everyone's always thanking the
trainers, thanking the owner. Like, it's a complete team effort. Just like, I could go down the line,
Yans, about how many people it takes to get there from the boarding farm to the vet to the van
company to the trainer to the groom to the blacksmith to the chiropractor to the jockey to the
jockey agent i mean you could go down the list of people it's a multi-billion dollar industry and it's
it supplies so many jobs around the country and it's it's the oldest sport in america and um you know
it's i try to get people involved in the game and it's you got to love it though i mean it's
you're going to have your pitfalls and it's a money pit but it's uh it's a total blast so
When you say the money fit, I mean, you made, you know, just about $65, $66 million in your career.
Have you put like a cap?
All right, I could spend this much on horses and then that's it.
I try not to think about it.
Okay.
Smart.
I shouldn't have brought that up.
Yeah, I got good accountants.
Yeah.
All right, E.J, you're the man.
You get the, you get the hoofs.
I get the horse.
And no surprise, buddy, as ESPN has the finals, you've come on like a lightning bolt with
The coverage, dude.
You're really good at it.
No surprise.
So good luck.
Good luck in the finals and with the race today.
Nice, guys.
Appreciate you.
See you,
you're the best.
See you,
Horn.
Good luck today.
Big Horn.
What a guy.
Great guy.
Great guy.
He's all into the pony.
What a setup.
He's on a beautiful golf range.
He's going to the racetrack today.
Jesus.
Some guys get in the hotel.
I know, man.
You've got the big rope.
And some guys are hockey datties.
Hey, what he said it takes to get a horse ready,
it sounds like biz getting ready to do a TNT game.
It's like you need the chiropractors, the blacksmith, the fucking, the room service, the room service lady.
This is getting his shoes just belted into his foot like a blacksmith and the TNT.
We were texting last night because could you tell the Blutman story like about the love?
Which one?
Oh, me?
Oh, yeah, yeah.
I was FaceTime with Blutman.
I'm like, he's sitting there with his brother and his, his, his,
thing is he'll never tell you that he loves you he's not an emotional guy he doesn't show his emotions no and he
he was sitting there with his brother and i had never met his brother we're on face time and i was like oh
that's pretty cool you guys live together i go you guys must love each other and liam goes no i go wait
you don't love your brother he's like no he's like i appreciate him and i was like that's crazy
because like i'll tell the fuck it i'll tell the the girl who brings the food up what do you call them
the help me what up girl a waitress no
The room service guy, I'll be like, love you, bud.
Like, thanks for cleaning late.
Love you, bud.
So it's just weird how he has a, like a, he's unable to tap into his emotions like that.
I know.
Remember when we had that golf match against Bob does that comes out soon?
And we...
2030.
Yeah.
We, and we try to give him a hug.
He'll just keep his arms to his side.
He will not hug you back.
Very uncomfortable.
It's so uncomfortable.
If he was in the
NHL and scored a goal,
like, you'd be like,
something's wrong with this guy.
Like, he'd be given that
Wedgwood, like, death hand signal
he had to his teammates trying to hug him
after a beautiful game winner.
He won't shake hands either.
Isn't he, like, a huge germaphobe
and, like, won't even shake him.
He's a, he's a,
Canadian.
He's, he's a, he's a, he's a,
he's a public speaker.
He's in, what's the word when you get people fired out?
Motivational speaker.
He's a motivational speaker, guys.
Like, lay off him.
Lay off him.
We get another motivational speaker,
The Rear Admiral.
He's coming on.
Let's bring him in right now.
Hello,
everybody.
Welcome to R.A.'s world here on the Spit and Chicklets
podcast.
Miss you guys last time out.
I know there's a few games being played,
but we got a stroke Vegas off a little bit more.
Fifth comeback win of the postseason, right?
First time they rallied back from a three-gold deficit
in playoff history for them.
Ikel at another level,
but the difference to me,
Vegas is doing great, forcing himself out of errors,
but decrease right now.
In the series, Wedgewood's say percentage 876, hot 9-4-1.
That's the difference right now.
All three games have essentially been one-goal games because they've been empty netters.
So things have been tight.
Powell plays pretty much awash.
Colorado, one for nine, Vegas, two for nine.
But I like this quote from Mono, Biz.
I'm not sure if you're sorry yet.
Moner on the comeback.
Quote, we have an overgroup that just stays patient and stays calm.
We don't turn on each other.
We don't get mad at each other.
I was like, I didn't hear that one.
He said that?
No, fuck.
I didn't hear the audio, but like, so, like,
really?
That's going to be setting all the, all the common.
Wow.
You think he's talking to Colorado or Toronto are, right?
Oh, I think, like, Toronto fans are going to take that personal, 100%, you know,
absolutely.
You think that was direct shot to, to the province of Ontario?
Keith, he said, we have an older group that just stays patient and stays calm.
We don't turn on each other.
We don't get mad at each other.
Fuck, I mean, cue the clip from the bench when him, Neelander, Matthews were going
not one other, I'm assuming, right?
Yeah, I'm sure, I'm sure, yeah, Toronto Twitter's out of control, but.
Well, I saw Nealander's just ripping up the Montreal Grand Prix all weekend.
Oh, yeah, he's getting, he's getting in a four check.
All right, like, I will say the idiots in Toronto who are still kind of like trying to dog him somehow,
it's fucking embarrassing.
They need to come to the dark side like me.
Like, I hand up.
I was a fucking idiot.
Like, I was totally wrong.
like Mitch Marner is a playoff god at this point.
And they need to start glazing him and give him his praise like everybody else
who's turned the page is doing right now.
So how do you feel about it?
I mean, like I tweeted last week that I think he might have the best highlight goal of the
playoffs and the best highlight assist of the playoffs, like arguably.
And the best highlight quote that we hadn't heard.
Yeah, absolutely.
Yeah, that is well.
But going back, that Taves go the other night, though, even though,
even though last night that Colorado lost,
I thought that was maybe the best.
two passes leading to a goal.
I've seen all playoffs.
Like the stretch pass up the middle from, uh,
Mike Manson,
and then Nate just did that little twirl over.
I mean,
that was just,
how about the move Manson did behind the net?
That was a wicked song.
A little fake pass to the right corner and like,
that was sick play.
And then he tried cross,
who did he try cross checking in that game too?
Everyone.
Colossar.
That was,
yeah,
that was the game before, I guess.
Oh.
Yeah.
I was taking a look at the Kant Smike though.
It minor is the chalk right now plus 180,
Freddie plus 550.
but a few days ago,
Carter Hot was 40 to 1.
I guess he was 80 to 1 like a week ago.
He's still 30 to 1 right now.
Yeah, I don't think the league's giving Carter.
Carter could get a shutout the next five games
and he ain't getting the fucking...
The odds makers know who votes on it,
but Taylor Hall, 10 to 1, Blake 11 and 1,
Dobish 13.
There's some good prices out there.
I mean, like last year, right,
I think I got Bennett maybe 20 or 22 to 1 last year
because if a guy has a good run on the finals, man,
that's going to give him much more, you know,
credence for the cons might so.
I got this question from a Twitter follow
Cody Mollett. Hey, R.A, a playoff
being still a thing for players or did they kind of fall out of tradition?
I seem to remember a bigger emphasis on them when I was a kid.
And I've been kind of looking at some faces.
And I don't know, is this maybe key to me?
Leagues gone young.
Leagues young, man.
Some guys can't grow the beard.
Even like you look at some guys that just who wrote low T.
That's G, low T. The boys are.
You think it's a low T league, G?
No.
That's what I tell.
I think it's just they're young.
beard yet either, so I'm just telling myself
it's a lead-wide.
Gee, aren't you 30? How old are you?
33. It ain't coming, but.
It can't come close.
I think that they started putting
soy milk in the coffee stand, too.
That probably has a little bit better than there.
Guys getting those titties.
Those are man tities.
I know this is something I bitched about
before. I'm going to again, I hate this
no matter what team, what country, whatever.
When they do national anthems and fans do this
callback, like they're out of fucking rap
concert or something like, like Carolina
does it. Dallas does it. Yeah, they say red when
they say the red part. Again,
it's not because it's USA. It's just
shut the fuck up. That's the stand up. Okay.
Well, time out. Time out. So are you
not down? Are you not
down with when Chicago claps
and gets louder and louder as a whole?
You know what? That's probably the lone exception
where like noise during the end because the way
They literally do it the entire anthem.
And I believe that started during the first Gulf War
in the early 90s of not mistaken. So it was
it, you know, obviously
time speaks for itself. And I think that's
sort of is like baked into that tradition.
So I've been there, man.
And it is, it is quite a thing.
But I don't know, call him back, you know, a word or fucking even like a corporate name.
It's just, I don't know.
I didn't just tacky name.
I don't know.
I think of Dallas yelling stars.
And this is, you know, coming from a guy, a rider was five.
He's taking his hat off putting it over his heart for the, you know, the anthem.
But I don't think it's as big of a deal as you do.
I feel like the fans respect the anthem and it's just a little bit.
they're paying attention.
They're into it.
A little bit of Abe Simpson, old man,
yells at Cloud, maybe.
I don't know, I'm just,
maybe it's just old school and I just,
I'll raise that, you know,
you keep the mulchette.
The Panthers still yell night.
For Spencer Knight, they still yell night.
No, they don't.
I swear to God.
Okay, that's, that's got to go.
They should be kicked out of the league.
That's got to go.
Fricent team guy.
I know.
Take away their six round pick.
Should we put up a Twitter poll for RA?
Maybe clip that and put up a Twitter poll.
I mean, I don't know.
I'd be curious to know how many people that it grinds their gears.
I'm guessing that's going to be a low percentage.
Probably for R-A.
Especially on Twitter.
I'm like Jesse James on fucking Twitter.
I don't think I'll get much support there.
Bad boy.
Yeah.
Hey, I want to say congrats to my pal Hannah Brandt.
She retired last week.
She played five pro seasons,
including the last two here with Boston of the PWHL.
This resume, unreal.
She won Olympic gold in 2018,
Olympic silver in 2022,
three world championship golds,
two world championship silvers,
U-18 world championship gold,
and when she was at the University of Minnesota,
she went three national championships
in four years.
I was the Frozen for most outstanding play
her junior year when she scored the title winning goal
versus Harvard.
And the other year, they lost in the final.
So a great kid, I got friendly wooded
when she played here in Boston through our friend Kelly Babstock.
So shout out to Hannah.
Enjoy retirement, my friend.
I'm glad you brought up the ladies R.A.
I want to shout out Aaron Ambrose.
She's won a national championship.
She's won an Olympic gold medal,
a world championship gold
and then she just won the
PWHL with the Montreal Victoire.
And on top of that,
Marie-Philippe Poulin, who was the captain
and won it with the Montreal Victoire,
she has a girlfriend on the team.
So fucking heated rivalry, hold our drink.
On the team they beat?
Not on her team.
Same team.
And then they did like a photo op after like,
boys, the PWHL, ESPN better clean up their fucking act, right, all right?
Oh, shit.
Yeah.
You better get them on the goddamn website because the ladies are making moves.
But I know who won the fucking chess tournament last week, though.
At least I got that biz.
I hear you, buddy.
That's popular as shit.
Oh, buddy, it's growing.
I think they're expanding two more teams to the PWHL.
Why are you laughing?
Yeah, he said chess.
I thought you were talking chess.
I thought there was chess teams I didn't know about that's why ESPN.
Tell your eye, Bush.
Oh, my God.
Oh, shit.
I throw it a little all right, Hamilton.
Got a little feedback.
Our boy Singsy checked in.
He actually, pretty cool question.
I'll ask you guys first.
Do any of you have family that currently serve or have served in the military?
Of course, today is Memorial Day.
And obviously, we love all guys and gals who laid down their lives so us goofy idiots can do what we do here and make a living off of it.
So, and you guys have aunts uncles, whatever, like grandfathers who served?
My grandfather did.
a Marine legend of a guy.
And actually, my parents went to Normandy recently.
And they went on a Viking cruise where you go and you see, you know, you see everything.
You see Omaha Beach.
You see all the beaches.
You see the cemetery.
You see just some, there's a museum.
And they said it was the most touching.
Like my dad couldn't even describe it.
He's like, I was so emotional.
And that's something that is for sure on my bucket list.
get over there. And I think the feeling
you have, like the eerie feeling and the
respect and I mean, there's Canadians,
America, there's so many different
nationalities that fought
that war, that I have
to get over there and see that the way they were describing
it to me. Yeah. True.
Yeah. I got both my grandparents,
both my grandfather's uncles,
P. Y, my uncle P.Y, was in the
army. My
father-in-law, Purple Heart
from Vietnam.
My brother-in-law, Bobby Noonan.
Yeah, so a ton of us.
I told my parents, if I didn't make the NHL when I told them I was leaving, not going to school,
they were like, what's your backup plan?
And I wanted to be in the military.
So it's one of those things where it's in, when it's in your family, especially, especially, you know,
you see what they went through.
You hear the stories.
Like, you just have so much pride of being American and having people in your family that have fought for you.
and truly a special day for them.
So make sure you reach out to everyone that was, that served us.
And, you know, they're the reason why we get to live this beautiful life.
Absolutely.
What about you?
Yeah.
I mean, no, no.
No, I, but like, just like the fact that like, you know, we get to to live in free countries.
And we have the ability to do what we want to do because of the ultimate sacrifice that people made for us.
It's one of those things where, like, weird, I couldn't even imagine going to like Normandy and just like sit.
standing there in silence and just picturing what people had to like get off a boat knowing
bullets were sipping by their ears like it's insane at you know 17 18 19 years old like kids like
we were we were going off to junior and you know we were intimidated fucking going to you know
on the bus and going to away buildings having to play against 20 year olds maybe thinking we were
going to get beat up like could you imagine flying overseas knowing that you might not be
coming back all to just provide the freedom for your country. So it's pretty like crazy. And it's
obviously huge that we take days like this to stop and remember what these people did for us. And
we live in amazing, amazing world for the most part now. And I know there's still bullshit going on.
But I mean, North America, we, you know, we get to live the way we do because of the sacrifice
that people made. So I can't, I don't think we could speak highly enough from those people who did
that. And, and, and obviously, we're.
so grateful that they did. Especially
you hear stories like kids like that were like
lied about their age going in like
15 and 16 years old. You just think of that.
Or how about the guys who like were crushed
like souls crushed when they had
an issue that wouldn't allow them to serve?
Like right, you know, a bad feed or like an example
like club feet or something. It's like they were
they were they were crushed by that. So I mean my
parents said that when you go there like the cliffs
my dad or my mom was saying like I don't know how
they got through. Like I don't
because the weather was so bad,
so they didn't have a lot of coverage overhead from planes.
And he's like,
I don't understand how these guys,
like, ended up getting up there
and, like, stopping all the gunners
that the Nazis had set up.
It was just something that after hearing from them
after their trip, I'm like, I'm doing that at some point.
And funny enough, Ryder, who's eight and a half,
he's, all he does is play,
he plays with his battleships.
He's always watching movies about,
he's obsessed with, like, the Navy.
It's so interesting.
like he'll watch a hockey game with me,
but he's right back to the battleships
and then watching videos about it.
It's pretty cool.
I'm like, wow.
I'm like,
I think you might have a lot bigger balls
than your old man
because I had the bad feet.
I wouldn't have been able to come serve with you guys.
I would have been back home,
taking care of everyone for you guys.
You know me.
I'd be like, Biz, what's your girlfriend, dude?
Does she need me to bring over groceries?
Yeah, Witt, take your bad feet over
and then clean my house later at it.
That's kind of where I was at.
Just make sure you get in the right escalate
on the way home.
When you mentioned the Cliff's Witt,
like, you know, what Spielberg did with saving private Ryan was just absolutely incredible.
Like the first time you see that movie, man, you just slack-jured for the next two hours.
But another great movie, the longest day, it was made in the 60s.
And it's, you know, about the invasion of D-Day as well.
And it's an incredible movie.
They had like every major star in the world practically.
And like what they were able to accomplish back in the 60s was amazing.
Yeah, you brought that up recently, right?
Yeah, yeah.
Because I hadn't heard of that.
I'm going to check that out.
Yeah, definitely.
And Band of Brothers is the great.
miniseries to check out as well. Gee, I know you had family.
I was going to get you here.
My grandpa was a Marine. He was the best.
It's pretty cool. Like my dad is, he's obviously so proud of his dad. He did so many different
things in his life. Mald and Catholic Hall of Fame started all these different businesses.
But when you ask my dad about his dad being a Marine, he almost gets emotional talking
about it. It's pretty cool to hear. And one thing I do want to shout out is in honor
of Memorial Day, we filmed that Chicklet's University at Army West Point. Very
end of the video, we had the opportunity, Coach Riley and a few of the guys took us up to
the Trail of the Fallen, which is a trail right outside of West Point where you walk up
the trail and you have a rock in memory of someone that gave the ultimate sacrifice in war.
So you get to the top of this mountain and there's a giant like 100 foot American flag,
biggest American flag you've ever seen. And all around it is names on these rocks of guys who
gave guys and girls who gave the ultimate sacrifice. And there's little stories written
about each person.
And when you're up top there,
you kind of realize like,
man,
like it's so much bigger.
Like these kids at Army,
they're playing for something so much bigger than,
you know,
just going out there to score a goal.
It's,
it's emotional.
Go watch that video.
But,
you know,
shout out to all those who gave the ultimate sacrifice.
I guess there's a,
Brendan Byrne,
Keith and I's friend and his son,
James,
his on Riders team,
they're good buddies,
same age.
He was telling me that I think
at 10 years old,
there's a West Point hockey camp.
It's a sleepover hockey camp.
And that's one that I know for Ryder too.
Like he would love that.
And then, you know, I'm sure the kids are taught and they see what,
what actually goes on there and the intensity these guys have and what it means.
So that's something I'm going to be looking into in a couple years.
West Point awesome with it too.
Like they invite tons of local high school teams.
They invite tons of pro teams.
I know you guys went.
Yeah, we did it.
Yeah.
Pittsburgh did it.
Yeah, they invite tons of people there to go through it, do the trail of the fall.
And they do all these military exercises.
and they show what a day in the life is like for these people.
And it's just, I left there being like, I am not a fucking man.
These guys are so much more of a man than me.
Your wrists would have kept you out of the military.
They're like, dude.
Here, hold this gun.
Yeah, I, uh, what about you are at?
Yeah, my uncle Mike, my mother's, brother.
He, uh, he was in Vietnam.
You know, he paid his price.
He'd come home like a lot of guys and pretty, pretty banged up for a while.
But he fortunately got better and got it to the recovery.
community and helped a lot of people out after he got sober.
Came home with a nice little AK-47, too, for a little souvenir.
My grandfather, he was in the Navy.
He served in the South Pacific, World War II.
He was on, I believe, at Air Carfgaria,
the hip-a-comacazi, man.
He didn't, you know, he survived that and all, but saw some crazy shit.
My old man was in the Army.
Fortunately, he didn't get to a summit for Vietnam.
My father-in-law, well, he's still my father-law.
Jack, he was in Vietnam as well.
These two, last two are crazy.
I didn't know about this to later in life.
my uncle, my great uncle Jimmy, my grandmother's brother,
he was a medic and fucking the battle of bulge.
He was a conscientious objector because he was a cat, like,
devout Catholic.
He wouldn't carry a gun.
So he was a medic like through some of the bloodiest battles in World War II,
like the Battle of Bulge.
Like, yeah, he just had, you know, the Red Cross thing there didn't carry a weapon
and just was a medic for these guys because, like, I only saw him, you know,
as an old guy.
You know, he was always, you know, under the weather show.
say and I realized why because he had PTSD like that stuff wasn't diagnosed back then they called
stuff he saw yeah you know with shell shock they used to call it so I and I didn't find out about
this to later life and then this is the craziest one my my great great uncle Hugh McGonigal
come over from Ireland and he joined the Navy uh to get citizenship and he was on the USS Maine
I know you probably heard of it you know remember the man it's like the Spanish-American War
they got blown up in Havana Haber my great-great uncle was killed on that and like no
Nobody in my family knew this.
My grandfather told me not long before he died.
So it was like not a secret.
Just, you know, like they just, you know, typical Irish families back then.
They didn't talk about shit.
I was down Arlington National Cemetery and I saw that once of the Tomb of the Unknown
Soldier, you know, ceremony there.
And then I looked at the map and I see USS Maine Memorial.
I said, I got to go over that, check this out.
And they, you know, they went back sometime later and they got the mask from the ship
and they put a memorial with the mask like in a big, like a cylinder of concrete.
And I look up.
There's my great, great uncle's name, Hugh McGonagall at Allenton National.
I had no idea.
Like, you know, again, hallow ground, you go there.
It's just such a solemn place.
And we had no idea.
Our family name was on a stone there.
Because they went back and they got a lot of the remains and brought them back.
And they were actually the first soldiers and sailors that were killed overseas and buried at Allentonational.
So that's like I told my uncle's and my dad.
And nobody in my family knew.
So it was just this crazy history.
I'm glad I got to find out.
So, yeah, pretty wild stuff, man.
So again.
Good topic.
No, pick though.
Yeah, great job, Arar.
Yeah, good conversation.
So moving along, classic recommendation, we'll have a little fun.
He had a midnight run.
One of the best comedies of the 80s.
It's actually Robert De Niro's first real comedy.
It's him and Charles Gruden.
De Niro's the bounty hunter.
He has to track down Charles Groden.
And meanwhile, all these mobsters are trying to chase him down.
Might be on Netflix right now, I believe, but legit, one of the funniest,
like, comedy movies of the 80s.
And again, it's De Niro's first, like, real foray into a comedy role.
So give it a whirl.
Keith, do you never saw it, Midnight run?
No, I got to check that out.
Yeah, give it, give it a word.
95% on Rotten Tomatoes.
Oh, yeah, it's an absolute classic.
Yeah, and I'm sure a lot of the view was out there, 1988 to come out.
So a long time Columbus Blue Jacket analyst and former scout.
Bill Davage passed away last week at 72.
So we want to send condolences to his family friends and the Columbus family as well.
We were sorry to hear that.
And I hate to end on a tough note, but we had a bad, bad day in Boston yesterday.
that woke up to the news that a Boston firefighter Robert killed a BK, as he was known,
was killed at a fire in Dorchester, Rahm.
Oh, man.
And it's, you know, like I've said before, you know, and Keith, you know, your grandfather was a Jake.
And, you know, when you grow up with that, your family, it never goes away.
So when this happens, it's just, it's just, it's heartbreaker for everybody, but particularly
for those people who have, you know, firefighters in the family, whether they're active, retired.
And I got a lot of great buddies on the job.
And, you know, like, we talked about Trooper trainer a couple weeks ago and these, you know,
civil servants who give their lives for us.
But, you know, you just go to work one day.
You don't know if you're going to come home.
So, you know, we send out, you know, deepest indulances and sympathies to the Boston
fight, apartment, and the family.
And, you know, we love your BK.
And thank you for your sacrifice, man.
That was just brutal.
Brutal.
Keith, is that your grandfather's old?
Yep.
That's awesome.
Look at that thing.
But it's crazy.
Like, firefighters, you're, a lot of time, you're like, oh, it's such a great job, right?
Like they were, you know, it's like, I think they work 24 on, a couple days off, 24 off.
And in theory, yeah, but then like, buddy, they get that bell wrong and they're, they're walking into a fucking fight.
It's just so crazy, like the difference in when the job is maybe low key at times.
And then the fact that when it's time, it's like, here we go.
And I saw that.
I think he was on the third floor.
The floor gave way fell down.
Just horrible news.
I'm glad you brought that up.
Yeah.
Absolutely.
Yeah.
Well, there's Mike Pop.
That was in the Boston.
Lobes several years ago. My old bin putting out a fire right there.
So first time you see him in person, man, you shit your pants, you realize the job they
do. So again, I was a kid.
My dad was a volunteer for like 30 years.
And I'll never forget.
Like I was like he got a call and he had me.
I was with him.
And we were just at the, he had to drop us off at his house across the street.
And like obviously the lady took us in and I'll never forget like watching this huge fire.
And they went and like fought it and put it out.
And you know, you're like six years old.
like, holy shit, this is what this guy's doing every, every Wednesday to go for calls and go for
meetings for.
Like, this is why is Pagers going off sometimes in the middle of the night.
So pretty, pretty crazy stuff.
And the fact that these people are doing it as like a regular job all the time, it fucking, you know,
same, same thing goes for the people who had the ultimate sacrifices.
They're laying on the line just to keep us safe.
And yeah, it's a credit to them.
And we love you guys, all you first responders.
Yeah.
All said, all said.
Great job.
Ray, like bringing all this stuff up, on a day when all that stuff should be brought up.
So awesome job, R.A.
Thank you guys.
All right, you got a pick for tonight's game?
I like Montreal because I believe they're 6 and 0 after a loss so far in the playoffs.
They haven't been great at home.
But they almost rope a dope their way to a 2-0 series lead the other night.
They could have very easy won that game.
This team doesn't blink.
They don't care that they're getting out shot.
They're getting higher quality shots.
I think they're going to be revved up tonight.
and who knows, Biz.
If it goes six and there's a potential clitch,
who I'm going to have to take a ride on 93 to 89 and see what there.
I want to go to games.
Yeah, I'll be nice to see it.
I'll be a lay in all over you.
All right.
All right. We appreciate it.
Good to see you after an episode off.
Biz,
great job looking forward to watching tonight.
What do you got?
And last thing, I just want to thank Mitch Garber.
Him and his kids let me come to their studio here.
I was going to ask where you were.
Yeah.
Luckily, I was able to just walk over and come use this.
Mitch Garber, he's a lawyer and an investor,
ended up being one of the founders of the Cirque de Saleh.
So that whole franchise and then later became a minority owner in the Cracken.
He's one of the early investors in the Cracken.
Did you tell him they're on the no watch list or no?
Absolutely not.
I basically said I'm considering him for one of my teams for next season.
So even said that I might even make amends with Bowie,
but we know that's not happening.
No, no, that's going way too far.
Yeah, thank you to him and his family for taking me in here.
And also, I don't know who thought of the Hockey Dad merch, but great job.
Even though it's a little bit of a faux paw me wearing it.
Hockey Daddy.
Maybe not.
Hockey Daddy.
We also get tons of new polos, Roeback polos.
We just released green.
We released pink as well.
The green one is so classy.
I got that one sent to me.
That green one is just like that with a nice.
pair of gray shorts
or khaki and a classic
gray belt with the gray shorts
or khaki shorts and then oh my god
gee great idea that.
Damn beat it.
Some great guests and
Blunny I mean what a run man
from the start of the year he came to Vegas
for that opening game he called
somebody getting a hat trick Dorothea
got a hat trick in that game
I think it's the year of Bluntman
and I don't think there's anything stopping him
and he should get a ring if they win it
I think he will you know Vegas
They take care of their own.
They do.
If they fuck everyone,
I shouldn't take the care of their own.
Until they don't need you,
then they gas you.
They're just cutthroat villain scumbags.
Can't stand them.
But you know what?
They're a hell of a fucking hockey team.
Like,
I hate to say it,
but I think if they would have lost
with Bluntman attendance,
they would have probably unfollowed them on social media.
Oh,
yeah.
Blocked them on all texts
and any type of conversation.
And I don't know.
They were taken back the package.
They sent them with all the VI.
IP merch. That's what they would have done.
It's got like a self-detonating device on at the jersey.
Well, I would have to call Alan Walsh for a meme with a board going through his back,
flirty style.
I'm still waiting on my heather monster residual, so I don't know how long that's going to take.
I know that was coming.
All right. Happy Memorial Day to everyone.
We'll be back to you on Thursday.
Peace. Love you all.
