Starting point is 00:00:00 You're listening to Quick Wins with Adam Kantos. What's the first thing leaders have to show up with? It's their attitude. When people see you show up, they instantly measure you with a gut check. Is this person miserable? Are they dangerous? Are they conflicted in some way? Or are they happy, graceful, welcoming, friendly?
Starting point is 00:00:20 Your attitude means a lot as a leader. When you walk into a room, people are going to look, are you smiling or are you grimacing and frowning? Do you have that RBF face? We all know what that means. The resting bad face, I guess you could say. People notice this stuff. Your nonverbal communication is about 90% of how people read you and your leadership presence. I teach a class on leadership presence for a local university where I teach executive MBA students. And while appearance, polish, and grooming is important, your attitude is even more important
Starting point is 00:00:59 because people want to know if they want to be connected to you because of how your attitude is. It all comes down to attitude. Your attitude will lead to your actions and that will lead to your success as a leader. Have a great attitude. That's your quick win for the day. Thank you so much for joining us for this quick win.
