You're listening to Quick Wins with Adam Kantos.
And welcome to Quick Wins.
This is Adam Kantos, top of the 12th floor Remax World
headquarters here in Denver, Colorado.
I'm here with producer Mark.
How are you, buddy?
I am ready for a quick win.
You want a quick win?
Yeah, I do.
What do we got? Let's get into it. So I have a question for with producer Mark. How are you, buddy? I am ready for a quick win. You want a quick win? Yeah, I do. What do we got?
Let's get into it. So I have a question for you, Mark.
Are you a success seeker or a failure avoider?
That is a great question.
Wow. It's kind of one of those hold up the mirror questions.
That's right. Yeah.
Am I on offense or defense in life?
Yeah. Man, I'm a success seeker.
I would agree with you. Here are some quick win benchmarks
here that we can apply to this. So my question, did you wake up to an alarm clock or to an
opportunity clock? The visual on the opportunity clock. People are going to stop calling their
alarm clocks, alarm clocks. I don't like it when I look at my phone, it's going,
and it says alarm. I don't want it to say alarm.
I want it to say, you got opportunity, buddy.
I have my Fitbit as my alarm.
Yeah.
It's a silent alarm on my watch.
Okay.
And so I can wake up at five and not disrupt my wife or anybody else.
And I think it says like, get after it or something like that as it's vibrating.
I love that.
So here's another one for you.
Did you go to school to excel or to pass?
I originally went to school just to pass.
And then when I got my MBA, I went back.
I'm like, I want to be the best one in the class.
What is that opportunity in front of you?
Are you there just to be there?
Or are you there to be there and do something, make an impact?
Yeah. Good question, make an impact? Yeah.
Good question, huh?
Really great question.
The last one here.
Is going to work a requirement or an opportunity?
Wow.
That's all how you look at it.
Yeah.
You look at, I'm going to work today.
No, no, no.
I'm going to make a difference today.
Fundamentally, that's a great deal of what our industry is based on.
The real estate space, real estate agents, they get on the phone, they get in front of customers, they talk
to people and they go, oh my gosh, I have an opportunity. I'm not working, I'm helping and
I'm serving. And that's really what it boils down to. There's a difference between being a failure
avoider and a success seeker. And those three questions will help you determine that. That's
the quick win for today, Mark.
I love that.
That is awesome and super encouraging.
Always comes back to that mindset, right?
Totally.
Totally.
I mean, it's your choice.
Purely choice management.
Yeah.
And everybody can look at each one of those things and make a decision on how they're going to choose.
You got it.
Make the right choice.
