You're listening to Quick Wins with Adam Kantos.
Everybody on some occasion ends up getting tied up in the daily activities and what's
going on.
And frankly, they lose track of their goals, their focus, the steps that they need in order
to accomplish those things.
And they need to find the reset button in their brain.
It's like if your computer gets overloaded and you need to figure out, okay, how do I
clear all this out and start fresh?
Because if you start with a fresh mind, it's so much easier to regain that focus and go do the
things that matter. Let's get into how do we find the reset button? I have a few ideas for you here.
It could be any number of these things. It could be a meditative break. So every now and then I'll
take, I have an app on my phone called Focus at Will, which plays some focus music, or you can do
another app. I do Headspace.
Thankfully, it's an app on my phone.
I can just search for meditation, things like that.
I'll put on my headphones.
And it gives me about 10 minutes to erase everything out of my brain.
So I need to hit that reset button on a regular basis.
Or, you know, it could be push-ups.
You could get down on the floor and do, you know, 50 push-ups if you're so motivated.
It could be a short walk outside.
You have to remove yourself from this brain fog that you've gotten yourself into.
And typically, it's because of overwhelm.
It might be because of a difficult phone call.
It might be because of a project, a meeting, something like that,
where you just feel like the weight of the world is on your shoulders.
You have to take and hit the reset button.
That will clear you up for the next thing that you have to do.
So that is today's quick win.
