What is good, everybody?
You're listening to another episode of the Stay Tranquilo podcast where we're going to help you stress a little bit less and enjoy a whole lot more.
Today I'm joined with Mikey Federo, a very good friend of mine that I've known since sixth grade.
And we have a really good topic that we're going to talk about today.
It's about life balance and just kind of incorporating a little bit of what we all deal with on an everyday basis, the work, work, school.
exercise our social lives you know everything that goes in and just you know living life and we
want to be able to bring that balance and kind of like our perspective of you know what it takes
to you know to be balanced and I know some of the points that we want to talk about is
just the fact of you know that everyday balance is going to be a little bit different so I'll
toss it over to Mikey now and I'll let him give his little introduction of a little bit
about himself what he does and whatever we want to talk about
Hey guys, how are you doing today? Mike Ferreiro. If you guys don't know me, one of Andre's great friends, been for a while. We've gone through the same type of stuff, and it's kind of joined us to our relationship. We've become great friends. Almost brothers, if you want to call it.
100%. My background, I work in the restaurant industry. I'm a manager at Catch the Day restaurant.
Great restaurant, by the way.
Love what I do.
see some funky stuff every day and uh it keeps me going it honestly going back to work every day
i learned something new um other than that i love riding bike um i'm a huge huge huge exercise enthusiast
yep i love getting out there um just putting myself out there and just letting everything go
while i'm on there or on the bike better yet or on the run um and just love to let let go of everything
and see what it's all about.
That's what we're going to talk about today.
Yeah, no, I really think that this is going to be a really good episode.
I think it's long overdue, too.
I've definitely been sucking when it comes to getting the podcast out,
so I apologize for that.
And we're going to have a little bit of a different structure than usual
based on some, you know, recommendations from people
and just making this like the most valuable podcast that we can make it
and entertaining at the same time.
So with that being,
said, we're going to start with this topic that I wanted to incorporate. And Eric is one of my
friends, Eric Valdez is the one that brought us in to my attention of just like talking about
good news. And the reason we want to do it is based on the fact that we see a lot of shit out there
right now. And not a lot of it is positive, right? So, and I get it. Not things are, things aren't,
you know, necessarily the best right now. But we also got to remember that as much bad as there is
out of there, there's probably even more good.
And it's not spoken about enough.
So our first story that we want to talk about was one that I found on the Today Show, actually.
And I thought it was a topic that me and Mikey both resonated with, you know, being that we love Colorado, we love hiking, we love the outdoors.
And basically what this story is is meet the grandson taking his 89-year-old grandmother to all 61 national parks.
I think that's incredible.
How amazing is that, bro?
You know, I mean, having some of them very, very close to home and some a little bit of ways,
but, you know, being able to go to these specific ones, John Penny Camp especially, you know,
it being a backyard for us in the Florida Keys.
Yeah.
It's incredible, you know?
We get to, we get to, we come.
That's a national park.
I want to say we complain about how we don't even want to go to the Keys.
But like, it's to the point, bro, where like I bitch about having to take my grandma to walk.
That's less than a mile away.
And this guy's taking, it takes me fucking 20 minutes.
Yeah, exactly.
And this guy's taking his grandma to 61 national parks.
So that definitely changed the way I want to even look at the way like I handle that thing.
I mean, that's incredible.
You know, these national parks are something that are unmolested, you know,
versus like so many things that we see nowadays are artificial.
It's their national parks because they're the most beautiful things in this United States.
Right.
So it's like those are things that we all should be going to see
Absolutely it's natural art
Yeah and it's funny because
This is one of the quotes that she says in this article
And I'll go a little bit into the article in a little bit
But she goes she said
If very matter of fact to me one day
It's a shame I didn't get to see more of that in my life
I never had the chance to
This is a person that has been on this planet for 89 years
As saying that she never had the chance to do it
And her grandson was like nah
You're not dying before you see all of this.
That's awesome, man.
And I completely respect the grandson for, you know, embarking on this journey and being able to take his grandmother to 61 national parks.
You know, this is a wake-up call for all of us, 20 girls.
All of us, man.
You know, go out.
Go see these natural wonders because, you know what, it's not, it might not be the last day for you, but it may be the last day for that national park.
I mean, I don't want to go into the eco system and stuff.
Yeah, no, no, we won't get into it.
Yosemite is like, come on.
That's going to be gone in our lifetime.
Exactly.
Go appreciate it.
I think we have to, you know, we can't take for granted what is here.
You know, in the United States.
We, you know, we get caught up wanting to go to happy hour every Friday night
and then go out Saturday and go do this.
And there's nothing wrong with that.
No, I'm one that I'm a big believer in that.
Like, go out there and have fun.
But then when we wonder like, oh, why can't I travel or why can't I go do this or I can't afford to go on that trip?
It's like, dude, literally just save a month's worth of going out.
Like, those clubs are not going anywhere.
They're not going anywhere.
Like, you can afford to do this if you make it a priority.
And that's actually something that we'll get into.
It's like there's so much shit out there.
Like, don't complain that you can't do it.
It's like, your actions allow you to do that.
And going out every weekend is not one of those actions.
No, absolutely.
And, you know, there's there's so much.
Like, think about what this guy's sacrificing to take his grandma to six, what was it, 61 different national parks.
Like, he doesn't have to do that.
It's saying here that Brian Ryan and his 89-year-old grandma, Joe Ryan, are taking the country by storm visiting 82 national parks.
For him, it has not been a joyful ride.
He had been very close to his grandma when he was younger, but their relationship became strained when his parents' divorce in 2001.
one look at that look at that even more relatable it kind of ripped our family in two to today i didn't
talk to her for 10 years wow and look at that bro so it's like you you you got to look past people's
differences what and even to the point where it's like your own family dude yeah like shit's gonna
happen and and and you can't you know you can dwell on it a little bit and and and and you can let it
you know you know you can marinate it and and and and do that but you can't let that define the
rest of your life. Look, there's always a time to soak and a time to mourn. But if you sit in that
morning, if you sit in that soak, look what you're going to miss out on. You're going to miss out
on so many things, let alone 61 national parks. Yeah. Like, you're going to, you're going to miss out
on so many things in life that you just want to shut your eyes to because you think that this is the
most important topic on your head. Yeah. And that topic on your head changes constantly. I agree.
you know, let it mourn, let it soak, feel it, feel it, 100%.
Like, let it, let it live in that moment.
Like, that's the moment that's there.
And if that's how you're feeling in that moment, that's fine.
But understand that there's going to come a point where you have to tell yourself,
hey, am I going to just feel like this forever?
Or am I going to say, you know what?
What can I get out of this situation?
How can I become better?
And how can I move on?
Yeah.
You know, because then eventually you have to be able to grow from it.
You know, we're all going to deal with.
And that's how this all kind of.
have originated to begin with that we're all going to deal with some sort of problems in our life there's
no arguing that like everybody's problems are going to be different right you're going to have problems
and how you feel about those problems are going to be different than somebody else feels about those
same problems right you know but at the end of the day what has to happen is that everything
happens for a reason and you got to move on from there you know absolutely once you become attached to
it the good and the bad you're never going to be able to experience everything else that's out there
It's like you live in this bubble, right?
And I think a lot of us live in this bubble.
And it's because we hold on to so much.
And outside of this bubble, there's so much more to see.
You kind of like make this this cocoon around it.
And you don't let anything in or you don't let anything out.
And it's very interesting because, you know, you want to keep out all the bad
and you want to keep in all the good.
Right.
But that's so much work to keep in all the good.
Well, that's the thing.
It's like we all want to like not pay attention to the bad and not acknowledge it.
But some of our best moments, some of our most growing moments come in the bad, you know?
And then we want to hold on to the good.
But when we hold on to the good, we're just putting ourselves in a place where it's like we don't allow anything else to exist.
Right, right, right.
You know, and that's where we get frustrated.
That's where the blocks happen.
That's where bad things start to happen because we hold onto so much.
So it's like, don't set these expectations.
Just, you know, live every moment to the best that you can and to the funnest.
You know, something like very interesting
That came up like one of my in life
Let's call it
When things are going so great
They're bound to go bad
When things are going so bad
The reality
When things are going so bad
They're bound to go so great
Yeah one of my favorite like analogies
When it for that reference right there
It's like dude when it rains it rains
But there's always sunshine that follows
Absolutely and you're gonna
And how living in Miami, how often do we fucking see that?
Like, Miami is the epitome of, like, how we feel and how life just goes.
Like, half of your side is stormy, half of your side is sunny.
It's like, it's the reality.
Like, we see it every day in our lives, and it's a real thing.
Like, bro, there's a rainbow after every storm.
Why?
Because, like, beauty always follows every storm.
It's just like, just be patient and just ride that storm out.
Yeah.
And, like, just like, it gets choppy, ride the waves.
Like, it's how you decide.
to handle that rough situation.
Just go after it.
Go do it.
Just deal with it.
If it sucks, it sucks.
It's okay.
But just know it's going to get better.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And that's one point in life that I feel like many people struggle with.
It's like it's and I deal with it myself.
Like it's going so great.
How do I hold it great for so long?
Right.
And it's impossible.
You know, if it's going great, it's going great.
Just let it be.
But if it's going wrong, you know, the same,
the same the same mentality i love that you said let it be too because it's like and and obviously
you know whatever but the fact that you say let it be that is a very like it's like confrontational
when people say let it be it's like oh bro you don't give a like you don't give a fuck you know
like people are like oh you just don't care like you can't just not care about anything you know
but that that you're misinterpreting what it means when it's let it be it's like when things are
thrown your way when life is just not giving you what you want
Sometimes there's a there's a liberation when you're able to just like let it be, you know, I don't know how to say it any better than that, but when you let things just play out the way they're supposed to play out.
Yeah.
When you understand that every single thing, like this could be opinionated, whatever, but to me, from what I've seen in my life, everything happens for a reason.
Yeah.
You know?
And you may not see what that reason is right away.
but over time
when the cloud starts to open up
when things start to open up
that clarity comes to you
you're like damn
I would have never looked at the way
I look at life because of XYZ
you know or I wouldn't
appreciate me right now I have no car
you know but I know the damn
moment I get in my next car and be like
wow I appreciate the hell out of this car
I'm going to take care of it I'm going to do
everything I can in my power to take care of it
why because I saw the other
side it's like think about this like
There can't be good without bad.
Yeah.
Why?
Because let's say if everything was good in the world, how can you scale anything as good if there's
nothing to compare it to?
There's no way.
It needs to have a counterpart.
There's no way.
So good can't exist without bad and bad can't exist without good.
It's the reality of the truth.
You know?
So when you learn that, then you're like, okay, yeah, this bad is to bring good.
And this good is for me to enjoy, but not to become attached to.
Yeah.
You know, because when we become attached to the good, then the bad seems 20 times.
worse. And not only that, you know, like I was talking about, you create this cocoon and you kind of like
want to live in this fictitious world where, where everything, like you want to just like perfect this
life. And it's, it's impossible. It is. There's no such thing as perfection. It's, it's impossible to
live like around, okay, if I, if I do this, this, this and this, it's going to make this perfect world.
Right. And guess what? You get to that perfect world and you're going to want more. Yeah. You're going to,
you're going to always want more just as a human.
more money you want more cars you want the prettiest girl or the prettiest dude whatever you want to call
it you always you know you always want the best you always want the best you're always going to want more
yeah and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and his song love yours i don't know of you
you know i've ever paid attention to the lyrics in that song if you haven't i really encourage you to listen
to it because it hits the home of what like the truth of like what reality is bro like you have to love
whatever it is in your life
right now. Why? Because
then you're never going to appreciate anything, bro.
You're going to get a new car. You're going to like it
in the moment and guess what? You're going to get tired of it and you're going to want
another car. You're going to have a house and you're going to see
somebody else with the house and you're going to be like, I want that house.
No, right, right. You're going to pull up at the stoplight
and you're in a brand new AMG,
like damn. I feel like the shit
right now. And then guess what?
My homie over here pulls up in a Lamborghini. You're going to be like,
damn. Now I want that.
Wow. I want that.
It's just like you worked so hard for that AMG.
It's like it doesn't make sense.
It doesn't.
It doesn't matter anything right now.
At the end of the day.
You just want that Lamborghini.
It's going to go.
It's going to go.
Everything is temporary.
Like that's just the reality.
And you have to look at it that way.
Why?
Because the moment we become attached to those things, like you're never going to find true happiness.
Yeah.
You may have moments of happiness.
Of course, bro.
Like you're in a fucking Lamborghini.
You're going to be joyful as shit.
Like it's sick, you know, especially if you worked your butt to get there.
But guess what?
Are you going to be happy if that's happening?
And you have a daughter that's sick or some shit like that?
And I don't wish that upon anybody.
Look at that.
You don't know what that person is going to.
Or if you're just genuinely not happy, like you're not fulfilled.
Like your emotions have a part in your life.
And you should be able to feel good every day, you know.
Whether it's material things that bring that to you, hey, so be it.
You know, I'm not one here to say that.
But I can promise you that those materials,
things are not going to be the thing
that's going to bring you true, true happiness.
Why? Because it doesn't exist forever.
When you were a baby, you were born with happiness,
right? Yeah.
So this day, we aren't happy because
we attach to so much shit.
When we were a baby, we didn't care about anything.
That happiness exists in all of us. Why?
Because that never changed.
Yeah. You were born with that.
Yeah. You know?
Yeah. And it's all learned stuff.
Of course.
Going back to our...
Over time, we get filtered out with all these things.
And that's, you know, that's where our happiness
It's like, I ask myself, all right, if I'm not happy right now, right?
It's like, okay, then what, what am I not happy about?
It's usually something that I either one can't control or it's something that has to do.
It's materialistic that, that, that, you can't control it.
This is true.
This is true.
You can control anything.
It's really, I mean, like, you can control your work ethic.
You can control your, you know, you can.
But you can't control the work.
But you can't control the results that control, you know, that come in.
Yeah.
Yeah, absolutely.
I mean, it's like, everything.
Everything comes in goes.
It does.
And you know what?
You have to go from the highs, the lows, and accept them.
Yep.
Completely accept them just for what they are.
Dude.
And let them ride.
I don't mean to make this sound like super basic or stoner or whatever you want to call it.
But you literally have to just go with the flow.
You can't say it better than that.
You can't.
Like I try to think probably the second best thing after that is stay tranquilo.
but whatever.
That's impartial.
Whatever, but honestly, like, nothing resonates more than go with the flow because it is, dude,
and it's just like you go with it and it's just a lot more liberating.
No one's saying like you're not doing anything as you're going with the flow.
You're working, you're meeting people, you're doing this, you're doing everything.
But everything that comes with that, you just have to go with it, man.
I think that's the reality of the truth.
But so let's dive in now to, you know, I know we want to talk about.
about, and I know we touched on some of those points
with what we were saying here,
but like, time to go a little bit deeper into it.
It's, we wanna balance everything that we got going on.
You know, we're juggling everything at once.
We're trying to do everything by ourselves, you know.
And I think there's a healthy balance
that we can all incorporate in our life
and it takes time, it takes effort.
And one of the things that I think that brings balance
into your life is when you're able to wipe out
the things that really don't matter,
and focus on the things that don't matter.
So I'm going to toss this to Mikey because I know he's one of the busiest people I know
just based on the hours he works, the lifestyle that he likes to live.
And I know his schedules have to change a lot from the norm.
So I would actually want to get into that too.
But let's dive into a little bit about your perspective on balance
and some of the things that you have to balance in your life.
So honestly, like first things first, you know, listener,
and thank you for listening first.
First off, very true.
I'm not here to tell you how to balance things.
No.
My balance is completely different than your balance and to Andre's balance and to every single balance in life.
And the one most important thing that I would really feel like you want to take from this type of, or this podcast is balance is individual.
My balance, what I'm going through is what I'm going through.
And it's going to change every single day.
Yep.
And just letting it change every single day and just...
It's a phase in your life and you want to, you know, handle that phase the best that you can right now.
Yeah.
And altering what you can learn from it.
And, you know, making yourself happy.
Yeah.
Because at the end of the day, making yourself happy is the end of the whole.
I think the utmost, yeah, most important thing is creating happiness in your life.
I don't even know if I want to use the word creating.
I don't know what the word.
it is but like happiness should be the goal yeah peace of mind should be the goal like just
genuine like genuine enjoyment in your life like i i hate when i hear people say it and i say it it's like
dude i can't wait for friday or uh you know i can't wait for summer and this it's like it's like
then what's everything in between is it just wasted time right right and and i think time is one of
those things in this whole balance equation where is the most valuable thing out of anything yeah so
So it's funny because like, you know, like for me, Friday through Sunday is the busiest
time frame of myself, like my life.
Exactly.
You know.
You have a very unorthodox schedule from the rest of us.
It's like my Monday is like a Friday.
All of us are being assholes and drinking on Friday through Sunday.
I'm feeding his ass.
I'm feeding your lifestyle.
I want you to go out on Friday and Friday through Sunday, let's call it, and enjoy yourself.
And that's the lifestyle that I live.
And it's changed dramatically, you know, from being the upper echelon of what the athlete that I was,
to turning myself into a business and manager-minded individual and focusing on what I love.
You know, I'm finding myself what I love.
You know, I love riding bike, and I love running, and I love doing all these things and these extreme sports.
You know, you know what it is like to go just, hey, Andre, I'm having a nice day.
I'm on a six-hour ride.
Oh, okay, okay.
Let's get into that a little bit real quick.
Because this guy does and has done in the past Iron Man's.
And for those who don't know what an Iron Man is, it's, what, 32-mile run.
No, no, I'll start.
Start from the beginning.
Two-four-mile swim.
Two-point-four-mile swim.
A hundred and twelve on the bike.
And then a full marathon, a three-mile, 32-something miles.
You know.
So that, like a marathon alone to me.
me ready a crazy amount of work and now I got to you know swim before that and then
write a hundred something like and that's at the end so you know I'm complaining about three
miles and this guy does that like it's it's it's it's hard to think of like you know you put it on
paper and you're like what the hell am I going to do that shows that you got to have some crazy
mindset is it the mindset there's some mental right bro I think there's some mental strength
you know there's some mental strength that goes into that bro because that's that's a long time
to be active look it's very easy to quit majority of the majority of the majority of the
majority of the people that work out don't work out more than two hours a day and you're
talking about a race that's average what like nine hours long no average about 12 to 15 hours
give or take um freaking full day yeah full day uh i was i was lucky enough i can't see anything being
to do uh texas texas uh four iron men uh i forgot like about two or three years ago and you know
it was it was a very tough course um a lot of important um a lot of employees um um a lot of
between and the weather played in effect.
Just, you know, the thing is, you know, you can't let these things factor you.
You're going there for a reason.
Yeah.
And you enjoyed it while you were running.
Go do your part.
And do your part.
I love that.
And, you know, it was a tough day.
Don't get me wrong.
But you know what the most desirable part of the day was?
Literally, I finished my race.
The end when you got some beers in your hand?
No, no, no.
I finished my race.
and I went to the hotel, changed.
I forgot what time I did if it even matters.
You know, and I got home, I changed, and I went back to the scene.
And we had dinner at one of these restaurants right on the boardwalk
where the runners were going through.
And it was just like, it touched the heart,
watching these runners go by at like 15, 16 hours in.
And there's nothing but.
pushing them. It's just moving forward. It's just themselves. Yeah. And it was just like, wow,
this is what Iron Man is all about. No, the Iron Man blows my mind because of the amount of like
just one cardiovascular that you need to have to be able to withstand that long of just,
you know, having your heart rate that high. Yeah. Yeah. Absolutely. You know, you're active and you're
active like at a very consistent and very long time. Yeah. And you know yourself. You can
yourself off the computers off the off your running watch off your off your
power on the on the bike and you know but honestly it's it's a simple drive that
keeps you going to the line and it doesn't matter the power it doesn't matter
the pace honestly it's what gets you to the line yep and that's what separates
you know survival mode basically it's a survival mode at the end of the day and
it's incredible to watch like these athletes going by at 16 17 now
And, you know, they've, they started the race with you.
Yeah.
And, and that race is not easy.
It's very easy to give up.
You know, it's, it's a point in your, in the ride, you're just like, wow, I'm all
by myself.
Like, and I'm just trying to sing myself songs, trying to get my mind off it.
That's, I think that's the name of the game.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And, you know, that was a very tough year for me, especially like, like, as an athlete.
You know, it started off with that.
and dwindled down to 70.3 World Championship in Australia.
And, you know, I really didn't know what I was signing myself up for
once I grasped the line at 70.3, Florida,
and qualified for the World Championship.
And I was like, wow, this is what it's all about.
This is what I trained for all my life to be able to race in a world championship.
Yeah, no, that is like basically getting to the Super Bowl.
That's right.
Yeah, absolutely.
And it was just like, wow.
And I had my friends along the way that were like,
wow, good job, keep going.
But, you know, there were so many things lacking in my life at that point.
And, you know, I phased them out just through training, just through keeping myself focused.
Right.
But let alone, there were so many things that I was just like, wow, I'm not facing right now.
Like, and it's okay.
I'm pushing them to the back seat.
Right.
And at the time, they felt right.
And, you know, I went to 70.3 worlds and did my thing.
It was an incredible experience and an awesome accomplishment that you can always say like, hey, I did that.
Yeah, yeah. But you know what it was? I think there's a bunch of things that you should be going through and like celebrating through life. You know, it's like you should never underestimate like what you did. Like graduating college.
Absolutely. You know, getting your first job, getting your first paycheck. Like there's so many humbling experiences along the way, man. And and that, that already alone is a fucking. That's a lifetime accomplishment that you meant to do. But yeah, you had you think about how much you had to. You have to. But yeah, you think about how much you had to.
to work through. Think about how much you got to overcome in that journey of getting to that
point. It's like I work my ass off to get here. Right. And I think you have to remember,
you know, through these struggles, through these obstacles that you're dealing with, you know,
through all these things that you're trying to balance that there's a reason why you got to do
this because there's an end destination that you're working towards you. Absolutely. And when you see
that, it's like all this, all this blur and all this chaos doesn't seem so much chaotic anymore.
At the end of the day, it makes sense. Exactly.
It's like, and a part of it comes like, dude, if you're not motivated and you're not like hungry,
there's a high chance probably you shouldn't even be doing that.
Yeah.
But, you know, when you're motivated and you're hungry and like in a case like you, whatever it is that you're doing,
you're going to keep doing it because you know what you're working towards.
Yeah.
And it's okay if you're not, you know, you're busting your ass off and you're not going anywhere.
You know, there's a big difference between working hard and working smart.
Yeah.
And I think working smart.
takes you a little bit further than working hard.
Yeah.
You know?
Oh,
you know,
the effort is going to be there,
but it's like,
you can't be a hamster on a fucking hamster wheel
just running around and you're not going anywhere.
Yeah, yeah,
you know, you want to see that forward trajectory.
Yeah.
And when you see the little baby steps
and you're moving forward and you're moving forward,
that's the motivating factor.
And along the way, you know,
you might take a couple steps back down.
Yeah.
But you're going to step right back up
and you're going to step
and you're going to keep heading in that direction.
Yeah.
And I think that's what people got to remember is like,
hey,
this shit's not easy.
it's never going to be if it was easy we'd be living we'd all be doing it yeah we all be doing
so you know going back to it you know i came back from australia all pumped up like this
uber like athlete you know like all the all my teammates from from whether it would be like
silk carbon or the the triathlon group that i was training with it was just like wow like you
went to worlds and very shortly after that i got very ill
and I got very ill for about a month or so and you know I went to the hospital
went to the doctors and it was just like hey you're good like I don't know what's
wrong with you and I never got a diagnosis and it was just it was a feeling of like I
just got like I I didn't have that drive for anything else and I got very sick
and it was a physical physicality sick you know I was I couldn't even
open up my eyes some days.
And I couldn't go to work.
I couldn't do this.
I couldn't do that.
I was talking to my friend yesterday.
And it was, it was like, I pulled the trigger on going to Cartagena to watch her race.
And it was just like, hey, I really don't feel well, but I want to be there, like, and watch
you race.
And it wasn't easy.
So, you know, a few months go down the line and I actually feel better.
And, you know, I look back to it.
those that month specifically and why didn't I feel well like I literally felt very very ill
and it was just it was because I didn't I didn't go down the stairs I'd literally just
cut it like from the line I was like I'm not training anymore I reached my peak and
and that's it that's it like I reach my peak and I'm like I'm done and that that that effect
affected my body so much I mean my body went from two different extremes it was it wasn't ready for
that like that peak to the to the to the to the valley right you know I was I was my body
was like freaking out inside so you know I got back into the sport and you know the
biggest problem that I face going back into the sport and I'm still facing right
now is racing my ghost you know racing what I used to be and what I am right now
working working let's call it 50 60 hours a week I'm trying to
to race my ghost
I mean this is this is my opinion on that
you know and and I
would love to hear what your feedback
is on that but do you think that
you know connect you know
racing your ghost as you say right
and I get that because like you hit such a
fucking peak that
you know that is the standard like that is what
you want to be as an athlete like you hit that
you know so I completely understand
that but do you think that racing your ghost
is a little bit of like holding
on to the past a little bit
Absolutely. It is holding on to the past, you know, holding on to expectations that aren't real right now.
You know, it's, it's, at that point, it was real. It happened. It's as real as it gets.
Right now, it's me, imagine I, like, it's, it's, it's, uh, creating this fantasy world and, um, you know, putting myself into into play like, oh, I used to do that.
Let me erase myself with that. And no, you can't do that. It's not there, yeah. It's not, it's impossible.
Yeah. And, and, and it's taking you away.
from the present moment of like you trying to go through this experience again so now you're living
just based off what you used to do and now you're getting fresher you're like damn i'm not where i'm at
you know and then that's what demotivates you you know i i i've never been at that level but like you know
one thing to me that was very important to me was uh was in the gym and and being very strong you know
where i was i was i was trying to gain so much weight because i knew i could if i gained weight i
could lift heavier and and that happened i got very strong right but you know you know
Now I'm here on the other side where I didn't feel good when I was at that point.
You know, I felt slobish, low energy.
I was drinking a lot on top of that.
And then, yeah.
And then, you know, now I'm 20 pounds lighter than I was at that time.
And, you know, some of my strength is still there, which shows me like, damn, I didn't have to put my body through that, through that shit, you know, just to get here.
And it's like, what am I even fighting for at that point?
You know, you have to come to the realization.
It's like you're dealing this battle, you know, this personal battle with yourself.
And that battle is good because that's what keeps you in check.
Absolutely.
You know, it's a good battle to fight.
Like, it's a good quality to have.
Yeah.
You know, when you're able to keep yourself accountable.
Keep yourself in check.
But, you know, don't treat yourself with, you know, with hatred because you're not that person.
Or, you know, don't slap yourself because you're not doing that.
It's like you've got to be kind to yourself and say, all right, hey,
this is where I'm at.
If I want to get there, okay, then I got to make these, you know, I got to make these changes.
You've got to be real with yourself at the end of the day.
You can't just say, you know what?
No, I'm not going to do that because that's not me anymore.
Yeah.
But if you're so frustrated about it all the time, then it's like, obviously you still care about it.
So if you really want to get there, just do what you got to do to get there again.
You know, it's-fine your steps to get there.
It's very easy.
Next steps, you know, you might have done it five years ago, but that was five years ago.
That's done.
What's done is done.
Yeah.
And, you know, maybe you were able to do what you were doing now, and it didn't work.
But guess what?
Now is now and you got to figure out how to do it now.
Yeah, yeah.
And it's like, you got to be able to live with that because 10 years from now, we're not going to be the most active people either, you know.
And 20 years from now, we're not going to be the most active people.
So, like, those qualities of us trying to, like, be this somebody, you know, it starts with now.
It doesn't start with 20 years from now.
It doesn't, you know, try to come back to life from five years or now.
now and that's all we can control and when we learn that we can only control now like things happen
bro because we're not fucking attached to anything else now is the most important time like it's the only time
it's the only time it's the only time it's the only time it's the only time that really want to get
deep into this i love talking about time because time doesn't it's a it's a it's a what do you
call it it's an artificial form it's an illusion it's an illusion like you said um and so focusing on now
it's it's honestly it's so good it's it's so
grappling by the head that like we can't do it yet it's so human nature.
It's a very, you got to remember like half of like what we fear and half of like what we worry about
is because the human mind is out of like natural instinct because of how the humans were developed
over time, you know, as as apes, as cavemen or whatever the hell we came from.
But, you know, at one point as humans, we lived in the wild. So our defense mechanism was
to be on high alert all the time.
Absolutely.
You know?
And over time,
we haven't been able to develop with that.
You know,
now we have technology.
So now our brain is reacting
to shit in a different way.
So it's always trying to protect itself
because it's new.
It's fresh.
It's alerting.
Yeah.
You know?
So our body are just trained to act that way.
It's a defense mechanism.
But what we can't do
is define ourselves based off that,
you know,
what we're feeling or what it is
that we're experiencing.
Because at the end of the day,
it's just our body trying to protect us.
Exactly.
That's all it is.
Exactly.
That's literally.
all it is.
Like you said,
I mean,
it's easier said than done.
It's not an easy thing
to recognize,
but it's the truth.
And when we're able to just say,
like,
okay,
I feel this way,
like I don't feel fucking good
or I feel anxious
or, you know,
sad,
whatever it is that you're feeling,
it's like,
okay,
I'm feeling this
because my body's just
trying to tell me something.
Yeah.
But at the end of the day,
it's like,
it's not who I am.
You know,
there's things out there that,
that don't,
they don't define who I am,
but that's what I
acknowledged to be. I think that's like a good way a good way to put it. You know like social media
definitely does not do a good picture in in us like trying to structure ourselves. We're always looking
out to right to satisfy and and I think that only a like that issue arose like because obviously
I don't think social media ever had that intention of of erasing all these issues that came about.
No absolutely not. It's just what it's it's transformed into but it's what it's transformed into because
do guess what when magazines exist it existed the same way people were looking at magazines and
they wanted to be the yeah i hate to say this but like the front cover the front cover like the fit
dude or the really nice looking girl in the bikini you know everyone wanted to be that like that's
what everyone strive to be yeah and now it just exists at a different scale because we can follow
someone with a click of a button and that has millions of followers yeah and we want to just be like
then and there's nothing wrong with that of course we we gate we all
everything off the amount of followers or the amount of likes or the amount of publicity.
But if you see where that comes from, it's coming from a place of comparison.
So now I'm automatically comparing myself to that person.
I want to be like that person.
That person's got 8 million likes or that person's got 8 million followers, you know,
and every guy wants that girl or every girl wants that guy, you know, whatever it is.
Like everybody's chasing after that because they see it, you know, and there's nothing wrong with that.
Of course we all want that.
You know, you said something special, and it really touched the heart.
Chase.
You know, I've been, I feel very, very, very, very, very notorious for something about chasing.
You know, there was always something that I wanted, always something that I didn't have.
We're going to be chasing until the day we die.
But guess what?
You know, let that chase, let your body feel that way.
It's the animal in us.
It's the animal in us.
But you know what?
Like, stop.
let it like just like dwell for a second and just like breathe yep and just see like open your eyes open
your eyes open your eyes it's crazy man it's it's something that doesn't like it's it's crazy how this
like this perception of like how we should look at life is is like laughable or uh like looked at as as
as as weird or strange um it's like when they say like wake up and smell the roses like all that is saying
It's just like, wake the fuck up and just be more aware.
Like, you see a pretty flower, like, fucking acknowledge that flower.
Yeah.
You know, you see a nice gesture, acknowledge that.
You see a person walking by.
Say hello.
How are you?
Like, I don't understand how that's such a, like, abnormal thing to do.
Right?
Like, I see a tree and it looks good.
I'm like, damn, that's a nice thing to be.
No, no, no.
Going back to the first one.
Saying hello?
Saying hello.
Oh, like here in Miami, you know, especially.
Oh, man.
It's like, oh man, what is that person trying to get from me?
I get it, man.
Like, we haven't built the best reputation, but like, let's not just stereotype every single human that we walk by.
It's hard to do.
It's hard, man.
Look, nine out of ten times you probably say hi, how are you?
They're not going to say hi, how are you back.
But look, doesn't mean that we can't be that change of like, oh, wow, that person said hi to me.
Like, you could literally make someone's day from saying hello to them.
Yeah, for no reason.
There's one of my neighbors that I say hi to.
once and now me and her like talk all the time because she's just like wow you actually are someone
that is willing to talk to me that's awesome and it's like oh wow like that is crazy that 40 other
houses live around you and not one person is willing to talk to you and you don't want anything from
her no mind me i didn't even want to talk to her from the beginning i just cared that she was a human
and that she approached me and she wanted to have a conversation it's a conversation did i want to do it
no like but did i know that it can maybe take somewhere yeah and guess what
People are people, bro, and you don't know what doors they get open for you.
And I'm not saying, hey, you're using them or anything, but it's the truth.
Yeah.
And people are people and you don't burn bridges.
Yeah.
You know?
So if you want to get all technical and political and you want to see some value to it, there's some value to it too.
Because people do, like, people are bridges to other places.
Yeah.
And you have to take every person and just be nice to them, be kind to them, acknowledge them.
Just let them know that they exist.
Because some people don't feel like they exist.
Absolutely.
And a hello can go a very long way.
So you know, this goes back to the, you know, the balance topic.
Right.
And, you know, it's very hard to balance.
It is.
Me, you.
It's not an easy thing to do.
And nobody's balance is correct for anybody else, yet themselves.
And, you know, trying to find that balance is a very, very hard topic.
And you feel like you've nailed it.
And then the minute that you feel like you nailed it.
Right.
Now you've got to balance something else.
It's something else.
And that's the beautiful part of it.
It's letting yourself just indulge into the fact that it could change.
Yep.
And it's okay.
It's completely okay.
You've got to be okay with change.
Yeah, you've got to be okay with the balance.
It's about adapting.
Yeah, that's what you got to do.
Perfect word.
Adopting to the situation.
Yeah.
And, you know, me adapting to the situation or you adapting to the situation, it's a completely different animal.
You know, me adapting to, to, to, from, from, imagine.
From like upper echelon athlete to now I have to work.
Yeah.
I have to work 60 hours a week.
And like where do I put this energy towards?
Yep.
Channel that energy into your work.
It's simple.
Right, because that's who you are right now.
It's simple.
Exactly.
Exactly.
It's who I am right now.
And I love who I am right now.
Right.
And exactly.
And that's the important part.
Like look, like we're not saying settle.
Yeah.
At all.
Because that's not what it is.
At all.
You did what you know.
needed to do you felt what you needed to felt and and you lived that life and you were able to say
hey I'm not going to hold on to this anymore yeah you know I enjoy it it's a hobby it's a part of
my life it's a part of who I am and a part of it will always be a part of who I am yeah but it is
not the rest of how I see my life going and you were able to let that go my life has so many
different turns and and we call it switchbacks in the cycling community yeah peace out to this
cyclist out there uh you know that's an interesting community
A bunch of freaks.
Yeah.
You know, like, you know, there's so many different things that every single turn awaits you on.
It's like, it's like, I can't predict what's going to happen to me tomorrow.
You don't?
You don't really know.
I've done what I've needed to do today.
And I think more people should realize that, you know, because how many people our age have died in like a crazy car accident or some shit like that?
And I hate to talk about it.
Like, I'm not a negative person.
Yeah, yeah.
at the end of the day, it's the truth and it's the reality.
And it happens.
And when those things happen, whether they were a friend of us or not, but they're in our age
group, it's always like a wake-up call.
They touch home.
It always is a wake-up call.
It's like, damn, bro, I'm taking a lot of shit for granted.
Yeah.
You know, I need to be nicer to people.
I need to care more about things that actually matter.
You know, I need to look and just smile for no damn reason, you know?
Like, it's like, I need to stop playing victim to everything.
You know, it's like, just let it go, just live life.
And just, if you can't find a reason to smile, smile because you can't find a reason.
You know, it's like...
Our generation, not to interject.
No, no, I don't know.
Our generation is like very crutch-based.
You know, we kind of like sympathize and we're like, oh, man, like I'm not able to do this because of this, this and this.
We're super soft.
But guess what?
Like, grow the fuck up.
It's true, bro.
Our generation is soft.
Just go do it.
go do it
like there's
the only thing
that awaits
is either like
failure
and failure
is such a key
thing right nowadays
like
it's just like
learn from that failure
or guess what
and and you know why
we think that way
why
because of school
ah
and we're not gonna get
we're not gonna get
we're not
because I get
I get talked for 80 minutes
about school
but
sees get degrees
by the way
yes this is true
this is true
but what I was going to say is
you know in school
we were taught that Fs were terrible
like F is for failure and if you're a failure
like you literally failed it's very easy
you did terrible you know and you have to probably
repeat a class and I get it like
the grading scale exists because they want you to
succeed and they want you to work hard to get A's
you know but
there should be a follow up
if you're just someone that's not good at school
you know that failing isn't bad
like that needs to be
taught as well. There's all this praise for succeeding and of course everyone wants to succeed.
Of course, but it's not easy. We all know that nothing comes when you're always winning.
The people that are winning now today, read any of their stories. Read any of them. They failed so
many times. They failed millions of times before they got to the top. What kept them at the top,
what keeps them at the top is the fact that they failed so much and they're like, I never want to
experience that again. Yeah. You know, so I'm going to do anything in my power and I'm going to work my butt off
to make sure that doesn't happen.
But I'm also going to enjoy the crap out of this
because I saw the other side of it.
I saw how it was.
I saw that it wasn't fun.
I saw that it sucked, you know?
But guess what?
All of them along the way also said
they had some of their funnest times in those struggles.
Look, I have something interesting about failure.
And, you know, if you're not willing,
and especially like even in relationships,
you could take this in any single way.
If you're not willing to lose,
That idea, that being, that person, it's not worth it.
It's not.
You've got to be able to put that person or that thing or that idea on the line to say, hey, if this fails, you know what?
I put myself into it and I loved it so fucking much that I'm willing to lose it.
And then come from it and then say, hey, now I could be, once you get to that point, like to that point that you're just like, wow.
Like, hey, I'm at the rock bottom and not necessarily rock bottom like in the idea aspect of it.
Right.
You could bring that idea and say, wow, this is such a great idea.
But you could knock yourself all those points and bring yourself to that point of just saying,
wow, this is such a failure of an idea and build yourself up from that.
But that shows that you're able to just like hit like those tough points and just take what you can out of it.
Dig in there.
Dig, dig, dig, dig, find it.
Those things are going to teach you so much.
Those failures, those negative comments are going to teach you so much in order for you to blossom like this beautiful flower.
Anything in this world is just like a, it's just like a rose.
It's crazy.
Everything.
Everything has symbolism to it.
It grows.
It blossoms.
It dies.
A plant doesn't grow and just straight into a flower.
No.
It grows.
It has to be fed water.
Yeah.
It's probably like it's a seed.
As a seed, it grows into a plant.
As a plant, it grows.
It needs sunlight.
It needs this.
and needs this and needs this and needs rain yeah it needs the dark times and the sunlight yeah
and then eventually at certain times in the year not all year long at certain times of the year is when it's
gonna blossom so you're not getting even as a person you know that you're not gonna blossom 24-7
yeah you're not it's just the reality and then guess what it dies and then it dies and i don't want to be
so like yeah so cruel no but you know what like you know bro so many people are scared of talking about
death and talking about like the negative you know appreciating the negative is something
people have to bro you have not you have to love both sides you know it's just like hey like death is
imminent me and you like hey temporary what like five five four three two one our life is like
getting shorter and shorter and shorter yep and you know what appreciate what you have right now
in front of your eyes look what you want to look look look at
Look at yourself right now.
I don't know what you're doing.
You're driving your car.
You're listening.
You have your earpods on.
You're just like walking down the street.
Like you're the hot shit.
Like cool.
Good for you.
But your life is ending.
Not to not to sound.
At one point.
Whenever that is, we don't know.
But it is going to end.
It's ending.
You know, we're all on the meter.
And you know, appreciate the moments that you're here.
That's so important.
At the end of the day, dude, like if we want to keep it simple, simple, simple, simple.
it's that you got to just appreciate it so many so many people look forward to and i've been victim
to look forward to like hey i want this family i want to be able to live like lavish and you know i
want to i want to i want to be able to send my kids to private school and and have those are
great things to aspire for they're absolutely great things to aspire for but they're not real
they're not real right now they're not yeah i agree but look at the end of the day you need to
have bowls and you need to have things that you want to work towards yeah but
But you know, don't get caught up.
It's like, I'll be happy when.
Yeah.
That's, I think that's, that's where the misconception is.
It's like, you know, we can all want those things.
We can all achieve those things.
But it's like your happiness or, you know, your ideal life is not going to happen there.
Because guess what?
One, if you don't get there, then what?
It's like, is your life just ruined?
Exactly.
And then two, it's like you get there.
You're happy you're there.
But then guess what?
That's going to come to an end too.
Like your kids are going to not be in private school anymore.
And it's like, okay, now what?
You know, like, there's, there's, there's,
all this life in front of us, all these opportunities, all these things.
And it's like, we want to paint the perfect picture, but we also don't want to just
let life take its course and just see what's best for us as a person, you know?
Right.
Because, you know, we want to put our kids in private school because, or we want to do this
or we want to do this because why?
Because we've seen other people do it.
Yeah.
And, you know, so now we're, we're painting our picture based on the other picture we saw.
Exactly.
It's not the picture that maybe was like supposed to be our picture.
picture. Yeah. Not to say that it's not everybody has a different picture. But you're literally painting
your picture based on another picture that you've seen. Yeah. Yeah. And it's like where does where
does your life come into play? You know you're living blah blah blah's dream. Yeah. You're not
living your dream. You're living the dream that you saw and not to say that you,
you can have the same dreams as somebody else. Like I know, I know we all aspire to have
nice things and be happy and that's all things that we all aspire to be. There's nothing wrong with that.
But it's like, let your way be your way and let someone else's way be that way.
You know, I think there needs to be some sort of uniqueness to society.
Yeah, absolutely.
I mean, it's very easy to get caught up and try to live somebody else's life versus live your own life.
I mean, I feel like we've all been victim to that.
And, you know, it's even getting harder to realize, like, what life we live versus, like, what life we want to live.
Right.
You know, it's, it's very easy to say, like, hey, I want all these things.
But, you know, if you look back and, like, and, and try to, like, find your, find your, find your inner being of just, like, why do I want that?
It's all based off of social media, things you've seen.
Yeah.
Things that you've, like, been aspiring for.
And there's nothing wrong with aspiring for the, for the stars.
Yeah, I want you to aspire to the stars.
And, and I'm aspiring for the stars.
And there's so much that.
I want to do that I haven't been able to do.
And that's usually fuel to keep you going.
It's fuel. It's fuel. It's exactly what you said it.
It's fuel. It's like, I know I want to travel. I know I want to have like a nice house. I know I want to provide for my family.
Like those are all things like I value, you know. So that's why like making money to me is important.
You grew up with those values. Exactly. And me, exactly. Me coming from a place where I had that.
that, you know? It's like I feel like my kids should have that too. Like, and there's certain
things that I like for my life and that I don't like. And, and that's all part of, you know,
the next phase of giving back to who's next. Why? Because of what I learned, what I loved,
what I appreciated. Yeah. What I didn't like and what I, you know, what I did, like just didn't
like overall. And that is something that now I can pass on to generations to come because that's
what it is. It's like, you take out what of your life, what you have and what you've received and
and what you continue to get as you go
and just give and learn what you ever it is
that you learn along the way.
Yeah, and I mean it doesn't
it doesn't hurt to learn.
Oh, those fish are feeding right now.
You're looking over there.
Yeah, so I have a fish tank behind me right now.
Those guys are going ham.
And they're feasting right now.
They're jumping out of water.
The little baitfish are running for their life.
But, yeah, you know.
Yo, the peacock.
You could either be eating right now.
So basically, basically, you could either
be the predator out there or you can be the little fish running for their life.
I think we all want to be predators out there.
Absolutely.
But, you know, it doesn't necessarily mean that.
It's just nature, though.
But guess what?
It's nature.
It's nature.
There's always going to be the little fish because there can't be little fish without the big fish.
But guess what?
If we were all predators, then who would be the bait?
Exactly.
So, you know what?
There's a need for the bait.
There's a food chain.
It's a food chain, bro.
Absolutely.
We all got to eat.
We all got to eat.
And you know what?
There's different scales.
You know,
there's always going to be the fish working for that kingfish.
Exactly.
And there's anything wrong.
That person working for that fish.
And kind of like wrap this up because we're coming up on time.
But the whole food chain, I guess we can call it that because it's relevant to kind of like what we were just talking about.
But the whole food chain exists, right?
And again, I don't want to get too deep in this because it's going to tie into what we've been saying.
But, you know, we attach our happiness to being the richest guy on Earth, let's say, right?
And that's not the case because guess what?
Today when this guy came to pick up my car, right?
Toe driver, little viehito, bro.
Definitely not making a buttload of money.
But guess what?
He's happy.
He definitely seemed like he was happy, bro.
Super nice guy, like asking me, like, how it was doing, bro.
Like, you know, he knows my car is being sold for cash right now.
Yeah.
So he's like, you know, I'm assuming he's just like, he's just a really good guy that cares, you know?
And I'm like, dude, this is a guy that is just driving a tow truck, picking up junk cars, you know?
Yeah.
I don't know who his life is, but I knew he fucking looked happy and he was in a good mood and he was at least very kind to me.
And guess what?
That made me in a good mood too.
It's simple.
It's just like, pass it around, bro.
And it's like, that guy's working for somebody else and he's working for somebody else and all that.
and I don't know his life,
but you don't gotta be the richest motherfucker
to be happy, bro.
No.
It's a fact.
You don't, you don't.
It's a fact.
And everybody,
everybody exists in their levels of their life, you know?
What you can't do is you can't compare level to level.
Yeah.
You know, just be you, do you.
Yeah.
And be happy with what it is.
And if you want more, go for it, bro.
No one's stopping you.
You know?
If that's what makes you happy, go for it, bro.
But just be happy with what's going on right now.
Yeah.
Balance is honestly, like at the end of this, you know, it's the easiest thing to accomplish.
Yet it's the hardest thing to accomplish.
We make it harder than it needs to be.
It's just take out all those.
We slow it down and we put the pieces together.
Yeah.
Just simply look at yourself.
Just sit for a minute and say, what makes me happy?
Go do it.
And what makes me sad?
Okay, guess what?
Don't not do it.
Just look at those pieces that make you sad and understand yourself like, hey, why do those pieces make me sad?
And build from them and just make yourself stronger from them.
It's not necessarily a deficiency, you know, what we call deficiency nowadays.
It's very sad what we call a deficiency nowadays.
You know, it's it's hard to understand like why deficiencies are even made called deficiencies.
you know you know do you and whatever makes you do you boo-boo absolutely and that's that's what
i'm all for yeah and you know when things change shift with them yep and don't be scared to
shift with them no and you know enable them and empower them and and just be just be enlightened
when the change is prominent and just let it be and you know let it be just like that song and you know
there's so many things that are so great in this world that amazing man and and that's why we want to
you know we bring the negativity bro because the negativity is all around us it's so easy so just fill
your damn mind with a shit ton of positive things like the state don't kilo podcast and just
you know be a positive person dude and your life is going to be good i can promise you that even
when everything's in turmoil and chaos outside when you're in your own little zen spot or whatever
you want to call it i like that's what i call it it's just like you're you know your inner being and you're
just there bro and you're good with it and he's dancing inside and and he's loving life bro like it doesn't
matter what the fuck is going on out there bro it's like it matters what's going on in here and if you're
good in here bro everything else will take its place bro like chaos is going to exist no matter what
because we're nine billion people on this planet like you're going to run into somebody that's chaotic
you know so but it's just what you want to surround yourself with it you know so all right
Before we close it out, we're going to do our closings.
You'll say what's up.
But I wanted to leave everybody with the best U.S. national parks to visit
so you can go out there and visit them because there's an 89-year-old doing it with their grandson.
If you don't have a grandson that's going to take you there, maybe you have a friend that'll take you.
Or maybe your mom will take you, but, you know, or you should take your mom.
But, hey, just go visit these national parks.
So number one, Yellowstone.
Have you been to any of these, by the way?
I haven't been to that one.
Yose Mike.
Go visit it before it does not exist.
Glacier National Park.
I have not been there, but that one actually looks sick.
It's ranked at number three.
Grand Canyon, of course.
I know many people have done that.
I personally have not.
I need to do that.
Zion National Park and Utah.
Need to do that.
Eric, when you move over there, I'll be going to that national park for sure.
Grand Tiedon.
Where's this?
Damn, these are high on the list.
Yeah.
I have places to visit.

hawaii volcanoes of course arches you know these places look sick dude we haven't been to any of
these arches national park we're slacking go on give you a top 10 uh Utah and Utah of course
everything's in the West Coast rocky mountains of course so good old Colorado we've been

Colorado Springs pike pike spike spike speak and I know I'm probably missing a bunch but
you know what I did ride your bike if you have a bike
ride your bike.
Riding uphill sucks,
riding downhill is fun.
No,
no, no,
go uphill,
go uphill,
it's fun.
And then Acadia,
which is in the North Atlantic coast.
And then I think Miami is somewhere in the national park of top 10.
No,
I'm kidding.
I think Thucca made it to the top 10 of national parks or the wharf,
one of the two.
But yeah,
those are your top 10 national parks.
If you guys have got some chocolate.
Travel recommendations, let me know.
Let Mikey know.
Go visit them.
Go visit them.
Go travel.
Go have some fun.
Enjoy your life.
But before we close, Mikey,
leave us with your Instagram,
whatever you want to say.
Leave something for the people.
You know, I actually delete you my Instagram.
Good for you, man.
I wish I could say that.
If you want to follow me,
I'm not going to post very often.
It is what it is, but M-I-E-E-R-E-R-E-R-E.
I-R-O.
I'll target in a...
podcast um you can follow that probably not going to get much uh what you you should follow is
catch-of-day restaurant absolutely that's that's one to follow that's what to follow if you're hungry
if you love seafood you like good seafood pictures um you like weird captions uh you like latin nights on
thursdays um that's where you should be that's a place to go i mean it's just a fun spot all
around it is it really is like we've been there for what 21 years plus now that's
says a lot right there we're not going anywhere that says a lot
happy hour every single day from three to seven
so when you don't have a place to go on the weekends that you complain that you
don't have a happy hour spot you can go to catch a day and they got three to seven
happy hour that's all I got to say that's very easy and great great
beers great uh great great environment everything man you get to see me you get to see
mikey bro you get more can you ask for it's a great place to be and you know
it's a it's a fun family oriented crowd and um you know
It's what it's all about
And, you know, it rounds off this topic of balance.
And, you know, balance from being the top athlete,
from balance to being a restaurant manager working 60, 70, 80 hours a week.
Yep. It's, it's all worth it.
It's all worth it.
If you're doing what you love, bro, things don't seem very tedious.
It's very easy.
You know, work isn't work as what work want to call it.
You know, of course we all got to work.
We all got to put in the hours of time, whatever you want to.
to call it bro but like do what you want do what you love like do what makes you happy
it's as simple as that everything everything else would fall into place bro like if you're not
happy do something about it you know create a hobby find somewhere where you can have have happiness
doesn't have to correlate with making a dollar bill when we all have to make dollar bills you know
but at least do like if you work a shitty-ass job because you got to pay bills i get it but in your
free time do something that makes you happy you got 24 hours in the day
Not all 24 hours are spent working.
Go do something that makes you happy.
And with that, I leave it out, logging out.
