Starting point is 00:00:00 Everywhere I go now, I'm bringing my golf clubs. It's not even a question. My girlfriend always makes fun of me, really? You're going to bring your clubs? And I'm like, fuck yeah, I'm going to bring my clubs. Like, what do you mean? Who knows if I'll ever be in that place ever again? You bring in your makeup?
Starting point is 00:00:13 Exactly. It's one and the same at that point. You go to those places and you're like, I got to go. And you don't even know if there's even an iconic horse. It can be in the middle of nowhere. But I'm like, I'm going to go play golf there just because it's going to provide a completely different experience. And I think that to me is like the huge selling point around it. So the thing is the thing.
Starting point is 00:00:30 that Tripcaddy brings to that golf travel experience is we're the experts, right? We've been to that resort. We know the director of golf. They cater to us, treat us like VIPs. We get the best tea times. We get the special treatment or whatever. Oh, yeah. And so you know if you're going on one of our ready-made trips, that is the best trip you can go on to that resort.
Starting point is 00:00:50 You want a bucketless golf trip with your buddies, your best friends, or maybe it's the annual trip, like I said, where you do a little rider cup style competition, then. Use us for either a custom trip or the ready-made trip if it fits your dates because you won't have to worry about any of that. You can just worry about having fun with your guys, having the competition, whatever you're going to do. And it just makes it, like you said, it's like an easy button for a golf trip plan. What is going on, everybody? Welcome back to another state tranquil segment here at PGA show. We're here with B-Man from Tripcaddy. That's right.
Starting point is 00:02:48 What's going on? Appreciate it. I'm meeting everyone here for the first time, so I can't give like long. longer intros than I'm used to. Right. Tell us a little bit about Tripcaddy. Tell us a little bit about yourself. Yeah, so we're back here for the third year.
Starting point is 00:03:00 So we do buddy golf trips. So you got a group of eight, 12, 24 guys. In my case, I take a trip of 24 guys every year. We do team competitions and we go somewhere different every year. So we're kind of the easy button for those golf trip planners. Those guys that have to book the trip, they got to tell everybody where we're going. They got to collect all the money and do all that stuff. So we do kind of two types of trips.
Starting point is 00:03:26 We do ready-made golf trips where we book up Pebble Beach or Pinehurst or Whistling Straits, a nice resort like that, and we'll book 40 spots. And then we've got the tea times, you've got the rooms all set. We've got it curated because we know what courses to play and what order, how you want to do it, where you want to stay. And then we'll sell that out in forces. So if you've got a group of 12, You buy three of the foursome spots on our trip, and your planning's done.
Starting point is 00:03:55 Nice. It's like it's an easy button for golf trips. Oh, yeah. But we can also do custom trips. We call it our golf trip concierge. Nice. So if you want to go somewhere different or different dates or something than our ready-made trips, then we'll work with the resort and get you hooked up.
Starting point is 00:04:10 Very cool. And then do you guys do, like with the hotels, too, included that? Or is it only tea time that you guys are in. Okay, golf and lodging. Okay, golf and logic. But the only thing we don't do is getting you there. Right. So you got to fly there.
Starting point is 00:04:21 You got to drive there. You handle your place. Once you're there, we've got the tea times. We've got the rooms. We'll set up, you know, restaurant reservations for you, caddies for you if it's that kind of resort. We took 36 guys to Bannon Dunes last September. Dying and go over there.
Starting point is 00:04:37 That was my first trip to Banda Dunes, and it was just awesome because we had been working with them. We did three trips with them last year, and our biggest trip was 36. This year we have 44 going to Banda Dunes in June. That's crazy. But our new. If you do 44, are those tea times like back to back to back to back to back?
Starting point is 00:04:55 Usually. Sometimes we, depending on the resort, we can customize some of the tea times for people if they want a later tea time or an early tea time because of what's available. But we'll book and make sure that we've got enough tea times for everybody on the trip. And then, you know, if we don't use some of them or if some people don't want to play 36 holes in the day, then, you know, we can move those around. Nice. So of all the courses, I guess that.
Starting point is 00:05:19 And you may not be able to answer this question. But of the ones, I guess, that you've played, what would you say are your top three that you've been to? Vanden Dunes, I'm assuming, has got to be up there. Yeah, so before we went to Van and Dunes, I would have said Kiowa's Ocean Course. I'm from Charlotte, North Carolina, so I get to go to Kiowa quite a bit,
Starting point is 00:05:40 usually once a year. The Straits course at Whistling Straits, where they played the Rider Cup. I love that one. It's got 10 holes or 14 holes on Lake Mission. Michigan, just beautiful. I like those, those, those waterside golf courses. So then we get to Bannon Dune. So I played Pable Beach too. So Pebble Beach is up there in the top five. Mostly, I would say Pebble Beach, mostly because you've seen it on TV for years and years.
Starting point is 00:06:07 You've seen the pros play there. So getting to play there has a little extra special jolt to it. But when we played Bannon Dunes, so Bannon Dunes has five golf courses, 18-hole golf courses. and everybody knows the namesake course, Bannon Dunes, Pacific Dunes is typically rated in the top five of the courses that you can play in America. So nothing to discount that. But the newest course they have is Sheep Ranch, and that was my favorite. So that one is the most affected by wind. So that course doesn't even have any sand bunkers because they can't keep. They wouldn't be able to keep sand in the bunkers.
Starting point is 00:06:43 So that golf course just, it was the last. last one we played, so I had played all the other ones, and we played it in the afternoon, so when we were finishing up, the sun's going down over the Pacific Ocean. They've got a couple of really cool looking dead trees that kind of border some of the holes. Those are the pictures that always stand out to me, the dead trees and just kind of like the hilly sunset kind of backdrop. So at Sheep Ranch, the hole that has that tree is the 17th hole, and I took my favorite golf photo I've ever taken of the green with that tree and the tree.
Starting point is 00:07:17 background, the Pacific Ocean, the background. It's like I printed it out for Christmas and framed it. I've got it in my house. So the pictures I make it out of the phone onto a picture frame are you know the ones that are like the iconic pictures. I do that too. So when I when I do our sales and marketing for these trips now, I'm using pictures that I took. I mean, because we've yeah, you're out there. Might as well get that. We've been to Wesley Straits twice. We've been to Big Seeger Lodge in Missouri three times. It's one that's got Tiger Woods is Paynes Valley course. There's something that we go back to pretty much every year. But then we'll do a new one each year.
Starting point is 00:07:51 So this year, our new one is Cabot Cape Britain in Nova Scotia. Okay. It's got Cabot Links and Cabot Cliffs, two of the top 50 golf courses in the world. Wow. Oh, wow. So that one's going to be in July. So these are a ready-made trip, so anybody can... Yeah, you can go on there and book the trip online.
Starting point is 00:08:10 You can book your trip until we sell out. Right, exactly. We've still got spots on our Pinehurst trip in May and our Cabot, Cape Britain, trip in July. Nice. Oh yeah. Man. That's one thing I've learned to appreciate over the years is the travel and golf component, right? It's like
Starting point is 00:08:26 everywhere I go now, I'm bringing my golf clubs. It's not even a question. My girlfriend always makes fun of me, really? You're going to bring your clubs? And I'm like, fuck yeah, I'm going to bring my clubs. Like, what do you mean? Who knows if I'll ever be in that place? You bring in your makeup? Exactly. It's one and the same at that point. So I've really learned to appreciate it. And it's just
Starting point is 00:08:46 it's cool, you know, like you live at home and you play the same courses every so often, but you go to those places and you're like, I got to go and you don't even know if there's even an iconic course. It could be in the middle of nowhere, but I'm like, I'm going to go play golf there just because it's going to provide a completely different experience. And I think that to me is like the huge selling point around it. So the thing that Tripcaddy brings to that golf travel experience is we're the experts, right? We've been to that resort. We know the director of golf. We have a podcast called the Golf Trip Authority where we interview. view of the GMs and the directors of golf at all these resorts, so Pinehurst and Pebble Beach
Starting point is 00:09:20 and Whitson Strait's and Stream Song Resort down in Florida. Stream Song's on the bucket list is here. All the big ones that you can name, we have a relationship with. And so when we book one of our ready-made trips, they cater to us, treat us like VIPs, we get the best tea times, we get the special treatment or whatever. Oh, yeah. And so you know, if you're going on one of our ready-made trips, that is the best trip you can go on to that resort. when we did Bandon Dunes, right?
Starting point is 00:09:47 We had the T-Times all set so that you could play every course because they also have two short courses, right? So that's seven golf courses. It's crazy. And it's a five-day trip. So you're going to have to play. You're going to play some double. 36 holes a day at least.
Starting point is 00:10:01 So we've got that planned out, so you don't have to worry about it. It's like, you want a bucketless golf trip with your buddies, your best friends or maybe it's the annual trip, like I said, where you do a little rider cup style competition, then you do a little rider-up style competition. then use us for either a custom trip or the ready-made trip if it fits your dates, because you won't have to worry about any of that. You can just worry about having fun with your guys, having the competition, whatever you're
Starting point is 00:10:27 going to do. And it just makes it, like you said, it's like an easy button for a golf trip planning. Yeah. All the boys are always looking for a good golf trip. It's always like, where we're going to next? Where are we going to next? So trip caddy is the place to get that done. Yeah, man.
Starting point is 00:10:42 Hell yeah. I love coming here to the people. GGA show, right? Because you get to see all the swag vendors, right? So a lot of our guys are doing competition, so they need trophies or they're doing shirts and hats and ballmarkers and things like that. So I'm always looking for cool, cool new accessories that we can sell to our groups that they can use on their trips. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Have you seen Stoogies and Bogies before? The cigar holders? Those are always a hit amongst the people. Yeah, I was talking to somebody who, uh, today who does like a it looks like a divot tool but it's yeah it you can do almost anything with it even a range
Starting point is 00:11:20 finder from 150 yards in it's got little little uh marks on there for the yardage and you kind of put the flag stick oh wow like that and you get within 10 yards which is not bad if you don't have your range finder there's so many get i mean just being here i've seen so many different things i'm like holy cow that's a genius idea yeah it's crazy okay all right well i appreciate it. Yeah, it was great to meet you, man. For coming on. And it's cool. We're definitely going to check out Trip Caddy, promote it on our side. Yeah. Guys are always looking for golf trips. Join one of our trips. Like I said, we've got room on Pinehurst and Cabot, Cape Great Britain. For sure. Sounds good. Cool, man. Thank you. Good talking to you. Yes, sir.
