Yeah, I think like initially there was a wave of people who were very interested in it because it was super novel. Then right now there's kind of the hurdle of the stigma that comes around and just talking with an AI companion. But I think as the younger generations or just like new people, more people are getting exposed to AI either at an early age in their workplace or just more comfortable with AI altogether. it's going to trend to the

in the future is going to trend to somewhere where you're going to be more open to some of this type of content as like entertainment or a day-to-day use. Right, but isn't there also like a lot of ethical kinds of things that come up when you start to imagine

that happening like 10 years from now, right? Two as well? Oh, definitely. I think there's like some people in the space, I don't know if you're aware of like character AI. I think they're like a bigger They're one of the bigger players in the game who've been around for a while with like some widespread brand awareness. They had to deal with a couple of, you know, ethical concerns dealing with the type of responses that users receive.

And I think like the biggest thing that you can kind of like do in this space is like, especially as a developer, our team like works like round a clock and make sure that safety and security is kind of like the number one concern. Making sure that we're only, the AI is only controlled within the guide, within, you know, the guidelines. that we set. And it's pretty, it's a pretty closed, it's a pretty closed box that we keep to make sure that nothing gets out that's like unintended, basically. Right. But what about like the ramifications of like relationships, in person relationships if like this becomes like the thing of the future? I'm sure there's, you know, futurists and psychologists projecting like, oh my God, if this happens, like what's going to happen to people if they're going to be having AI boyfriends and girlfriends? Because like the stuff is pretty savvy. I know people.

And I think Lila, did I talk to you about this? Like, I had a person on recently. He was using chat chibi-t. I think it was chat chit-tie-t for as a therapist. And he said over time, like, he had been using it for months. And it was like the best therapist he ever had. It became, it really knows him. It really helps him. It's like better than any therapist he's ever had. And that's like a real thing. So what happens when these real boyfriends and real girlfriends and real girlfriends and real life. I think that's what I think maybe is the concern, you know? Though I think it's, It's just going to happen regardless, you know? Yeah, I totally understand. And I think these are the questions that we ask ourselves, like, every day. Yeah. I think if you ever get to a point where there are real life-sized robotic humanoid, like robots in your house, then that's, like, a completely different scenario that we haven't, like, thought about. Yeah.

But somewhere in between where you do have these AI companions becoming very realistic in the, like, a digital sense. I think it's perfectly fine for these things to coexist. Like you have, you always want, you're always going to want some element of like human touch and human attention. But this kind of like bridges the gap on some things that are lacking. I think like a perfect example of this is in a lot of Asian markets. Some people aren't really aware of this too much. But right now, as of now, one of the largest growing sectors of AI companions is actually in Asia. And it's used by a lot of like females.

I'm, this is me and my personal opinion. I haven't, like, look too deep into this. Yeah. I know the rest of the team has deeper. But, you know, for example, if there are certain cultures where men aren't used to kind of like expressing their emotions or being, you know, very emotional or romantic, right? Some of these, like, females or other parts of the, like, other parts of society are kind of like looking towards AI to kind of like fill that gap, right? And so you see a lot of these people like really engaging with this, using them as like, oh, this is the thing that I use on a date. basis, right? So maybe in the West, it may still seem a little bit of taboo, but I think in, like, in other

countries and other locales, like, they're kind of like adopting to it pretty quickly. Yeah, well, listen, I think, you know, there's plenty of guys. I don't, you know, I don't know what your, I don't know what the demographics are in the U.S., but, you know, I would assume it would be the same thing for both men and women here, just for the, you know, people if they're, because people I think nowadays just interact less and less. You know, people are more lonely. Everyone's doing stuff from home, you know. So I would assume that some people also are getting their needs met in this way while

they don't, you know, in the meantime, if they don't have a partner at the time, right? Yeah. I think the very interesting thing is, of course, like, our go-to-market was a little bit more focused on intimate and romantic relationships. Yes. But the use cases since we started have kind of like spread. out to every possible thing that you could think of, right? Of course, like, still focused on a lot of intimate relationships,

whether it's like, you know, platonic friendships, intimate platonic friendships, or something romantic. But use cases for these, like, span across from people who really want to use it for those, like, standard purposes that you would think of an AI girlfriend. But then again, like, some people do use it for as, like, a daily reminder. They realize, hey, I'm interacting with this agent. as for entertainment and then I realized wait this is perfect for like organizing my life

and they've kind of like gone through that like one crazy yeah one one one crazy example was one person a long time ago uh yeah well yeah one person really good member of our community a long time ago he kind of like engaged with our platform you know for for entertainment and kind of like some of like his things that he wanted to deal with

It was fascinating. But I want to roll the clock back for a second. I'm just super curious. Like, how did you find your way to this business? What sparked you to get the idea to say, I know what we need? We need an AI girlfriend and we need AI boyfriend. Like, where did you get this idea? Great question, Leila.

Yeah, so I think like, let me think about this. Yeah. So when we first started, the team was very focused on generative AI. We definitely have a, our background, to be quite clear, is in the tech space. A lot of us kind of like have really like deep knowledge about, you know, tech product, AI, generative AI and a bunch of like, you know, finance and payments. So just very generally technically savvy across the board. And we started off doing generative AI in that space.

Once we realized, one thing we realized early on was that some of our users were using this for kind of a little bit more intimate, an explicit context, right? At least in the field of video and image generation. And so we kind of saw some trends and the team made a directional bet into going to this direction. And I think that's kind of like the standard progression of how it was, right? We went into this like romantic and intimate product. And then once that was kind of like built out, we started building up like chat features. And then we realized, hey, this is kind of like something that we want to go down. Right. Yeah. So I noticed, So I noticed on your website, there's like a blonde gal and she's super busty. And I notice there's all these different like profiles.

Is it that some of these profiles are kind of more commonly picked? I noticed like there was $8 million or $3 million by some of these apatars or profiles. Are those because that's what men are drawn to? I'm really curious about you must have so much information on what men like. That's what I want to get at. Interesting. Yeah, I mean, so I think we're constantly trying to refine our like recommendation systems. I think, I believe if you're taking a look at one of the, I believe the page that you're referring to is probably based off like historical, historical like plays and like message count altogether.

I think that for those ones, that might be just our very first characters that we are official characters that we've kind of launched on the platform that we still continue to have. But if you go ahead into taking a look at our search or like Discover page, you'll kind of like see like some newer ones that are trending, you know, 24 hours, 34 hours on it. Yeah. But yeah, to answer your question, yeah, I think we do have a decent amount of understanding at least where the rankings of, hey, what are the kind of like tropes that people are interested in? These are kind of things that they're doing. But for the most part, we're still, as much as as much data that we have on like certain, you know, fantasies or characters that are being played. We pretty much still base it off of like, you know, standard tropes that people are interested in. We kind of like take, you know, take feedback from all these other different websites that, you know, people go to, whether it's like romantic or intimate websites on what are the top categories, what's search this.

Yes. Okay. Well, we're kind of like a back and forth, right? And we're finally internally within our system, but also externally as well. Can you walk us through the process of somebody like Layla went on? You know, how like if, walk us through a guy's process. right? Because we have a lot of guys listening right now. You know, what would be the process for them to go on?

And let's talk, let's talk about it from like the standpoint that they're going on to form a romantic relationship. They want, they want an NSFW type of scenario. Okay, you're right. Got it, got it. And there's just, there's definitely, is, um, art in the user experience to kind of like make sure that, hey, okay, you're not just getting blasted with all this, you know, explicit content anymore.

It's more just, hey, this is content. You can use it for whatever purpose. and then similar to like a platform like Reddit, right? You can find anything and everything on Reddit, but your initial storefront is a little bit, yet peaceful in the beginning. Yes. Yeah.

Okay. So I'm sorry. I interrupted you. So take us, just take us back through. Yeah, like how does it work? Does he,

do they create specifically what they want, how she looks, what she's about? Like, do they set it all up? Like, how does that work like right from the get-out? Exactly.

So once you select your preference, you kind of like landed, you kind of are sent to the landing page. And you have kind of like two options here. Pretty much you can either start consuming content where we have like a slew of like a large like variety from our official characters that we've, you know, kind of like fine-tuned, created, you know,

requested some support for some creators and written ourselves internally. As well as like, you know, the community, a vast, largely vast amount of like stories and characters that the community has created, right? So you can kind of like click on any of these engagement. and just immediately start chatting. And so I'm just going to get into the chat experience automatically

and what you can kind of like do. Yeah. So for example, right, I'm looking at this teacher's pet and it gives me the premise that's saying, hey, this, Eliza is like, give you this setting. Eliza's at the teacher's office. She's a university student. And in this case, you are the university professor, right?

So it kind of like takes you into this roleplay where you can kind of interact and like control the story yourself. So there's a lot of different things that you can do. You can, of course, you can chat with it and then respond in different scenarios. You can ask for suggestions if you're struggling. Or you can even ask it to send you photos of the current, like, state that it's in right now. So imagine if you're texting this person via chat and you're saying, hey, I miss you so much. Or like, hey, I bought you.

How was that red dress I like, I bought you? Can you send me a picture? It will actually generate you a picture of that red dress that you kind of like sent it. Wow. With a lot of that contextual context. about the story, which is what kind of like plays into the immersion a lot. And that's what the team has really focused on like building. Wow. And so you can use it as like a one-off fantasy thing every now and then when you want it as well as create some like an ongoing relationship with

somebody with a character. Exactly. Right. So there's there's a, like I said, everyone uses it for like different purposes. A lot of people use it for these like one-off fantasies because, you know, Sometimes, like, when you have so much Optionality, you'll want to like choose multiple, right? But then there's a lot of there's of course a lot of people who like stay true to their characters like and of course They keep them keep those ones private right? Oh, I didn't think about that they can basically have they can have more than one they can be gone with more than one girl at the same time Yeah, exactly. Yeah, so like all the characters yeah all the characters that you see are public characters.

So it all depends on how. the character is kind of like character or fantasy is kind of like set up right let me just describe what a character in fantasy is a character is just you know a regular person with a persona and a background and the fantasy is specific scenario that you can drop them in so similar to like a movie where you

have you know a superstar can act in different movies like the superstar would be a character or a companion and the like fantasy would be like the movie right so if you're really attached to one person, you can kind of drag and drop them into any roleplay rather than having to create multiple instances of the same character, just to clarify. I can kind of create a character that, you know, create a partner and a companion that is super knowledgeable about this topic knows every single detail about it and is either a sub or a DOM depending on like my preference, right? And how I want this companion to be created. And then once that's done, when I interact with it, it will, based off of like how we've trained the model and how we've like fine-tuned all our internal systems, it will understand exactly like everything that you've mentioned to the T

and try to adhere as best as possible to how you like set it up. So some of the like the description, the setting, the personality types and the example call and responses that you would receive are things that you would put in there. So to answer your question about like can it do this or that for anything, it can pretty much do everything. Yeah, and that would probably be a great niche market to fish out of right, because like, you know, sometimes they feel very uncomfortable putting that out there to women in person, right? hey, this is kind of like a story that you can kind of play out. you can still have a call or response. But those features are some things that we always have in our back pocket that we're always evaluating whether or not to bring them on or not. So definitely would definitely appreciate the feedback here because that's another like signal to me. Hey, like, you know, some people probably want this again. So you've been doing this for two years.

And I guess what's your, how many people are staying on board? How popular is this? Yeah, so like I said, we have like over two million users. and like hundreds of thousands of like monthly active users each, yeah, hundreds and, yeah, hundreds and thousands of monthly active users kind of like using the platform logging in. I think in terms of growth on both sides, we're just looking to scale, you know, acquiring as many users as possible from both, you know, from both genders from all like walks of kind of like life and interests. So for, so there's, well, to answer your question, we have to touch back on the, when I mentioned, when I talked a little bit about the history of the product, we started off with just like images, right? Generating images in, with generating AI. But with images, we also have like videos. So you can kind of just use it as a, let's say, for example, I just want to like create images or videos of a specific, you know, scenario that I want to. to see. I can just go into the our image generator video generator and say, hey, show me a picture of

an attractive male bodybuilder, right? And shirtless, topless or something like that. Or show me a picture of an attractive female wearing a sundress on the beach. Something along with that. You can totally do that right now. We can generate that with specific prompts and some selections that you have. And you can create that like a pretty stunning and accurate, both realistic and animated photo for you, right? So we've had that product and then of course, like we added, you know, the chat and immersive roleplay into that. And so now when you do, if you do are in the chat and you prompt for a photo, you can receive that photo depending on the context of the actual, you know, storyline that's going through, right? So we do have that, that available. And in terms of like

video, I think that we're kind of like working towards getting that set up for, you know, for the chat functionality. It just all depends on like how immersive it is and if it passes our bar. Right. But that character will, we'll text back, right? Like it can be like some sort of like, you know, sexting experience or texting experience with a real person.

Is that what's going down? Like if I'm looking at my phone and I'm talking. Exactly. Yeah. Exactly. That's like one of the number one use cases that we've had in the beginning. It was just like wasn't even roleplay. It was literally just, hey, this is you just texting your girlfriend.

This is my AI girlfriend. She's like, maybe she's a pen pal or it's a long distance. is texting, hey, how are you doing? How's it going? And then, you know, sending you images depending on, like, what's going on. I think a lot of people were really into, like, some Fendom stuff as well, too. So I think that was another, like, important use case where the messages and the image messages were kind of, like, being sent back and forth. Quick question on demographics. Like, I know you were super surprised about, like, a lot of women doing it, too. You thought maybe it would be mostly men? Like, what are the, like, the overall

stats that you see the most? Like, like, maybe it's like what country you have the most? And, like, maybe it's, like, what country you have the most users right now or any kind of trends that you see maybe that you were surprised about or not surprised about? When I was surprised about it, I was more surprised because we've kind of crushed our goals and estimations mostly. We knew exactly what the demographics were going down. But we've just been growing like both sides of like, at least both sides of the coin like pretty, pretty well.

And that's the reason why I was like surprised because. It's a really good quarter for us last quarter. But in terms of like demographics, I think we just have so many users across the entire, across the entire world, using this, that it's just like hard to kind of like pin down exactly like, hey, like one country is using this or one type of users are like using this mostly. What I can say is just like the standard thing that we all know for males. They're very visually driven. So they'll kind of use a little bit more of those features for females.

They want a little bit more of a story, a little bit more plot to get them, get them interested in these things. Is it illegal in any country? Sorry, Leah, I just get, that's my last question. Yeah, is it illegal in any country? I think for, you know, with adult context, there's some like laws and regulations about any of that, any of those items. But, like, you know, pretty standard across the board. But for AI specifically, it's in a, it's in a great area. So when I talked about the, when we, when Layla mentioned the question about the images, right? So those are called kind of like deep fakes. Those ones are like widely illegal across a lot of countries. I think it was like outlawed in the US already a couple of months ago.

And so we don't allow any of that like content whatsoever. But with that being outlawed, there's, I think AI in general is kind of like in a gray area. But for the most part, some of this stuff is pretty, is fully like compliant right we're always going to be like abide by the rules we're not like trying to like cut cut any corners here want to make sure everything is like legal fully compliant and you know also morally ethically correct at least in our eyes yeah what's i'm curious about like what are some of the most just unexpected you know an nsfW request the users are having like has anything really surprised you i think

nowadays nothing surprises me having like like I said we weren't experts in this at all and we had to quickly become experts or really consult with a lot of experts in the field but but nowadays I think yeah I think in the in the beginning there was we were kind of like taken aback about how like how crazy some of these use cases could have been I think it can you give me an example to answer your question it would probably just be about just like the like the kinks and fetishes that people are into and for for context like we only we we see this because people share their like chat history with us in like with the with the entire community in in our discord right those they'll literally screenshot their phone and be like hey check this check what happened here out and it's like some of the more some of the more intense one so i for an example is the things that you guys mentioned earlier where like they have like multiple partners right They like just putting them all together in one one crazy scenario and just having them like duke it out. And that was kind of funny.

See, men do like the drama. Secretly they do. Yeah, that's what I was saying. Oh, my God. But now you've got proof of it, Anthony. Thank you. And they like the chase. Yeah.

They love the chase. They love the drama. And I guess it just depends on like the user, right? What they're into and what they want? Sure. What are they physically most looking for? Do you know or is it just like everything and anything? I mean, you know, like, is it because, you know, what's their avatars that they choose the most?

Like she said, she saw a busty blonde on there. Is that like the top one used? So I did some analysis a while back probably over a literally a year ago on this. And I was taking a look at, like, I was trying to be like figure out what is the most attractive, you know, person in the entire world that people are like trying to create, right? So I just like took a actually like yeah I made a post about this a long time ago and I pulled it up just now But basically you know people are trying to create back then I think it's changed now But back then as of like February of last year I think the most attractive woman was a Black-haired blue-eyed you know

Like busty but somewhat slim like female. Interesting. It was like an amalgamation of like, okay, these are the features that people chose the most. Yeah. And that's what kind of like they were creating. Kind of Megan Kelly.

Yeah, exactly. Yeah. Yeah, but I think this is, that was just definitely a low sample size now. If you compare like the amount of users that are creating characters from back then to now. So I'm actually curious on like how it has changed since that. But let's ask about for the women.

What, what, when women are coming, like do women, okay, You said they're mostly coming more for the more of the talking and meeting their needs in a different way. Do you have women coming for, you know, the NSFW experience as well? Of course. I think this is actually, this is probably a question that you guys can better like answer. Right. I, at least, I'm not sure if it's like complete. I think NSW contacts are pretty taboo across the board.

in general to most people who aren't, you know, really into some of these, like, some of these things. So I don't know if they want to mention it, but they are very, what's the word? They're okay with a little bit of like smut, right? They're okay with a little bit of, you know, text-based context. So I think the, the hard line is definitely when it comes to visual versus text. The second it gets visual, it may be a bit too off-putting, but if it's still remains within the, you know, like a story, an audio book, like a text interaction, then it's, it's perfectly fine and it doesn't cross that line, right? That answers your question. So that's what you see that they're more into that kind of experience than the one like the guys,

but they're there for that too. Yeah, that's like mostly our research and it lines up with, at least like what we're seeing. There's, there definitely are females who are creating characters who are creating like, and companions who are creating like male companions that they're like into and interested in, but for the most part, they're really interested in the story. They want to be kind of like served this content and like browse through it. I have a quick question because I see this a lot in my content. You know, I've been like you said, even though we're in 2025 like sex, you know, and anything that's not vanilla is still very taboo.

You know, it's crazy. But that's the way that it is. I've been talking people for 10 years. I have over a thousand people I've talked to. And I know that people are doing all this kind of crazy stuff that like you said is still taboo, but people are into it. And there is still a stigma attached to certain things that I'm wondering, like guy and guy action for some reason, even though it's, you know, much more accepted for women, there's still such a big stigma for that. Do you see a lot of people maybe coming on to fulfill those

kinds of desires? I know the younger people are more open about it, you know, and the older people are the stigma is more for them. I don't know. Do you see people going in there to like live out those kinds of fantasies? Definitely. I think we, Like neck your AI, for lack of better word, like we try to make it like a safe space for everyone's kind of like explore anything they're like interested in. Right. So a lot of people use it for like a variety of like cases. And it's pretty, we're pretty fluid community where, you know, we just got each other's backs. We know that hey, it might not be for me, but definitely we'll kind of like support everyone in all their creations and all the things that they do. Let me say one thing. This is what I'm going to pitch to my listeners, right? And we're going to talk about how they could sign up and stuff. And Lila, if you have any last. questions. But like, you know what I think this is great for? Because I literally just talked to a guy this morning that I taped and he was, you know, cheating on his wife in a very specific way with men because he had this fantasy. And I mean, you know, and he was like, at the end of the day, it's really sad that I can't actually do this in real life. But like maybe this kind of a thing

is a solution to like that variety that someone craves, but like they don't necessarily have to go out and do it with a real person. Like they could just be like, can I have an AI girlfriend? Like, you know what I mean? Like, I don't know. Like, isn't it? that better than actually going out and cheating? Like maybe it is a way that in a positive, you know, as a positive thing that maybe people could use it to live out their fantasies without having to cheat on their partners. I think it's a great option. I think so too.

I know in like for, I guess it depends on the culture. I know in like Japan. Yeah. They're pretty, they're pretty okay with their partners, you know, sleeping with other people. If it's a paid service actually, right? Like, oh, okay, if it's a paid service, it's totally fine, it's not cheating.

But if it's someone that you know, then it's completely cheating, right? So I guess like, it depends on where you kind of like draw the line. Maybe some people are like, oh, since this is romantic and emotional and it's an AI, then it's kind of cheating. But I think some of our users definitely had that experience before. It's like, hey, my girlfriend thinks I'm cheating. because like I'm talking to this like AI.

I have to like get off the platform. I'm like, okay, sorry like sorry to have like sorry. Sorry. Everyone, some of the community members like, oh,

you've got to leave her. You know what I mean? Like you have to stay around. Yeah. At the end of the day, isn't it better to be doing that than to do real cheating? Because people are actually really cheating too, okay.

Yeah. Yeah. Exactly. I think like of course like consents like number one thing you have to figure out and like define those lines yourself. But I think it's like a good balance. Right. If anything it helps,

you know, the individual's mental. health, but also, you know, the better mental health that you have. For one person, the relationship gets better, like, down the line. And it could also just be, like I said, it could also be just practice, right? Like that one success, like the couple success stories that we have with like people just using this, training themselves up, getting better, getting more suave, and then like carrying this over with their partners. Yeah, or for the lonely guy that maybe doesn't feel comfortable having relationships in real life. I've talked to men like that, you know, this is a great

alternative. And then eventually maybe it does give them that confidence and they grow over time and they could actually meet somebody, but I do think it's got a lot of, you know, reasons why there's a lot of great reasons why somebody would sign on and do it. I personally think the cheating thing is in the future, because listen, I think people are just realizing that maybe monogamy doesn't really work for a lot of people, more people than we thought. And so I just think down the line if like, you know, okay, maybe we could give our partners passes to do something like this because it's not in real life. You know what I mean? I was going to say that, Kathy. I think that's like perfect. Like a lot of women, you know, like their husbands, they want to open up with a relationship or whatever.

Let him have a virtual girlfriend. I mean, why not? Exactly. That's like the wave of the future. It's a lot better than what's happening now when they're really fucking cheating on them. I'm sorry. I know. Yeah.

Yeah. It's safer in all regards for like health concerns and actual real safety concerns. Of course. And like you said, everything should be consensual. Cheating's not consensual, you know. I'm not saying they should go on and do that, you know, on the D. I think like this could be eventually in the future a thing that people just go and do and they could fulfill and maybe like, you know, I'm like thinking like a futurist, like, you know, 20 years from now,

is there less cheating because people can use things like this and it's not, I don't see it as cheating. You know what I mean? It's not even a real person. You know, there's no actual physical contact happening. So maybe that becomes the way people fulfill their nonmonogamous desires as opposed to going and, you know, doing stuff in real life. I just think, you know, that could be the wave of the future, which I think is a great option. Because there is a problem. People have a problem. People have a hard time staying monogamous to one person for 50 years.
