Absolutely. And it's very, very interesting. And there is differences for sure between men and women's preferences. What I will say, though, first of all, is that our data is very secure and private.

So whenever we have data analytics, it is anonymized. It's not tied to the user. So it's in this sort of broad way of, okay, there's this many stories. we're going to, you know, automatically tag them or we're going to, like, look, you know, tag, tag them to come up with, what are the trends. So let me ask you this. Walk me through exactly how it goes. It's interesting though. And I love that you guys literally are on the back end sort of watching everything that's happening and then like recoding or whatever. So to make it so that everybody gets to where they need to be quicker. That's what you're saying, right, basically. So you're taking all that data, learning from it and then just feeding it back into the system so it works better for everybody. Walk me through exactly how it works. Like if I sign up and like how it goes like is it like a thing where it's, like a thing where it's, could create a story and then you could like, oh, well, no, can you change this about it or blah, blah, blah, like, you know, I don't know if you should answer that or just walk me through the beginning process. Totally. So you come into our product and we ask you, hey, what are you thinking about right now or what's some spicy thought that you have? And so you can enter it in. And then what happens is we actually create these tailored questions to ask for more

detail. So it might be, you know, you type Kathy and Kathleen go into the closet. And then actually we have a next step where it's like, oh, how do Kathy and Kathleen know each other? Oh, so it's prompting questions. It gives you questions to set the same. Okay, go on. Yes. And then there might be a few more questions. And then we're like, how spicy do you want this to be? And you get to adjust and control because that's part of what we want to provide. you know, you getting the exact kind of vibe. Of course. Right, because maybe a woman doesn't want it to be as explicit as a guy or vice versa.

I totally understand that. But wait, when you first go in, are there certain categories that you go to or you just start from scratch? You start from scratch, but we're adding things like the categories that you exactly mentioned into our onboarding of say, hey, what are some of these ideas that you're curious about? It could be kinks. It could be sexual acts. It could be, you know, dynamics. It could be like, you know, male, female, male, things like that. And so after that, after you do that selection process, we generate a new, unique story for you immediately.

And it's the first chapter. So the chapter starts generating like Chatsinit in front of you. Okay. Yep. And then it's actually quite a lot. It's almost like 800 to, a thousand words. So we do give a lot. And right after it ends, like you can go read it, you can do anything else. But we give three, by the way, generated story options for continuing

what's next. And you can use those, by the way, but you could also not use them and totally change the direction for your story of Kathy and Kathleen. Like maybe we'll be like, and by the way, it's tailored to the context of that story that was generated. So it's like, It remembers. Right. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, I love. They start going at it.

Option two, like one of them starts crying. You know, option three, a male enters the closet. Something like that. We make it really, like we've been tailoring it to make the options kind of like spicy, interesting, diverse and also surprising. And so you can choose any of them or you can continue. And when you continue, it does the generation again in its chapter two. then it can be chapter three.

But what you said about editing is totally right, as in, like, let's say you look at chapter one, and this is where we've seen a lot of our users love actually reading and rereading and making that fantasy they're really their own, because we have editing tools that are also AI empowered that allow you to reimagine or change things. So instead of, like, having to type,

like, you know, maybe let's say in chapter one, you guys go into the closet and then have this like dialogue and you say oh that's too slow you can highlight parts of it and say like hey can i can we like amp that up or uh give me just give me new paragraphs where Kathy Kathy like escalates the the the the sexual tension you know yeah yeah because yes and then that really makes it your own in this more edit edity way of course. And then finally, you can even actually remix or branch off of your current story. So like, let's say, and this is very common, you really liked your Kathy and Kathleen first chapter story.

Yeah. And you're like, I just, I want to keep this one. But I want to also use this as a base for something else. Like I want Cass in this like just separate universe, Kathy to ditch Kathleen and go for Mike instead. Yeah. But you really still want to keep the base of the first story. But you really still want to keep the base of the first story. we give you tools to basically like branch off of your stories so that you can keep the old ones but like still retain these like new ideas. And how long for it, say you stick with the first book, right, or whatever, like how long does that, how many chapters will it typically give you? So you can, there's two things that you could do. you can either just do it yourself. So you're reading it one chapter at a time and then you select things and type in whatever

you want. So it is one chapter at a time or if you just push essentially like continue automatically, you will see chapter one, then chapter two, then chapter three. So it won't give you, let's say five chapters at time. But it will, we do have an option for you to almost like play through. however many chapters you're interested in at the time without you even typing. However, what it will look like, because, you know, we want to make it unique to that story is it will go one chapter at a time. It will.

Yes. Once you play it through, so let's say you continue the first one, the first chapter, automatically you press that and then the second one and then third one, you will be able to go back, it's all saved down, and read those three chapters again. And it's been very interesting because we've attracted a lot of folks who say, hey, I've always thought about writing erotic stories, maybe even doing it as a career, but like, you know, I never had the confidence or just, it's more, you know, like normal folks,

like non-writers. And like by, I guess, seeing that more and more people are sharing their stories, I think there's this increase of confidence of saying, like, I will also start sharing my own things. And so there's a lot of work that we're starting to do that I think you actually like pointed to a great question that we want to have.

help nurture kind of the creator spirit because because we don't we are not like kind of an AI writing tool so it's like you know like AI writing tools are like authors are coming in writing their books we have more I guess like casual people who I think are starting to become more more curious of saying I could be a creator on Red Quill actually whoa a lot of people are reading my stories oh that's interesting like a totally different you're creating like a whole new world really because it's like a whole new category of people because listen writing's fucking hard for anyone who isn't a writer okay I can't write for shit and I just had a book published okay it's coming out October 18. The hardest thing I've ever done I had to be on the phone

with someone else helping it's torture for most people unless they're a writer but you have like you created like this whole world it's super interesting where people are sort of creating right maybe not in that they're writing every word they are crafting it and it is a part of their own creativity, and they can kind of get a name for themselves, right? Like you said, like, oh, all these people like my story, like, I did good. Like, that was a hot one.

So it is a part of them creating something. It's just in a slightly different way, but it is still like their own art because they're the ones that are really, like they might not be writing it, but they are crafting the story. Absolutely. And in what we even see in the data,

we're not asking, our users to write certain categories. Like we really are trying to give the tools, the platform, the enablement to write whatever you want because that's exactly what you want. And I'll say is it's very interesting because we see like what gets searched a lot on our site, what get, like how people come to our site.

And we've seen that some of the stories that just a regular user probably who do not think that they're a writer or intend to ever be a creator or anything published, has driven high traffic to our site because I think other people maybe are searching those terms. Like maybe they're searching best chastity story or chastity whatever story or cheating, whatever story. And the red quill story comes up on Google search.

Oh, you're kidding. And so it's really cool. Yes, I'm not getting, it's like, I remember looking at our Google keywords and I thought, what is this story that is sending us traffic? And it's more and more. I'm like, what is this other story that people are coming into Red Quill for?

And these are just posted stories that our users, it's just their interest and they just happen to publish it onto our site publicly. So I'm really grateful to the people who are brave and I think what I think a lot of our users are starting to see and realize, lives is like people are reading them.

Yeah. And we're going to start trying to nurture them as like more creators. Because like YouTube, like TikTok, I think what's amazing about platforms, like creator platforms is the people who rise up were not for YouTube like videographers and like for TikTok. They were not like an expert short form content, you know, creator. They just happened to film things that they were super interested in, make really good. stuff and then people came.

Yeah, and I even tell you with the podcasting world, like I started podcasting 11 years ago when nobody was, you know, and I pinch myself. Wow, that's early. Yeah, I pinch myself every day because I have a very big audience and I do very well. And I'm so happy because this is like my God-given talent, what I meant to do and I love it. And, you know, but if I started now, I'd never be able to build my audience because there's so many people in. So I feel like because you guys are still kind of new.

Like it's like, you know, getting in early on platforms and making a name. for yourself. There's something to say for that, right? Because sometimes, like, you know, who knows where you're going to be so many years from now. And these people that are crafting these stories and getting successful over there, you know, like, who knows what could be happening for them, right? I mean, it is a, that is something that happens. You want to get in early, I think, on platforms, for sure, especially because this is one. How do you guys survive, though? I mean, like, literally right now, because I always have to sleep with one eye open because I talk about sacks. And even on my Squarespace website, I didn't realize, like, I couldn't start using those,

words that I have in my episodes on there because Squarespace does not allow adult content. You know what I mean? Like, how the fuck did you guys lock yourself down in the right way? Like, I mean, I get, did you realize how much you'd have to do to get the okay for this kind of content to exist on a place and Google and all this kind of stuff? Because there's a lot of like anti-sex everywhere you turn. Absolutely. Absolutely.

And it's, it is, it, it makes. makes me more interested as the days go on in free speech. It makes you want to scream it even more. Yeah. And freedom of expression because you see stuff online where you say that's very violent and hateful. And yet you do not allow for sexual content. Yeah, yeah, you're right. So I would say one of the reasons why I think we're able to tow the lines and romance books, too, by the way, are quite smutty.

And that is all over TikTok. And there's a little bit of a, if you know, you know, is what I will say is, yeah. Yes. It does help that we have no explicit visuals. So like images, videos, we do not do. And also, even though our product is focused on romance and erotica, we do also have content. And this is so fascinating to me, despite our. branding, we have stories and people who use our product for not at all sexual content.

It's just because of the storytelling, the intimacy, the tools, like you kind of like asked about the platform. Yeah. And so we have been able to straddle that line of we are a story product, a story building product. We are focused, however, I want to still be clear. You know, while I'm chatting with you, Kathy, it's like we're focused on this. sort of your fantasies that can be anything.

But actually what I've seen is that some fantasy are not sexual at all, which is very, very, very fascinating. Like some cheating stories don't involve sex at all. They just involve cheating. You know, isn't that interesting? Yeah, I love that. They're still working out through something or they want to tell a certain story and you guys have a specific way of doing that.

That's so easy. using your tools. Yes, exactly. Or things like, you know, we talked a little bit about femdom. And femdom could be sexual, but there's also just, you know, a woman being the dominant to a submissive man. Yes, that's a big thing. There may not be sexual acts.

Yeah, female-led relationships. I get a lot of that. Yeah. Exactly. Exactly. So luckily, we've been able to straddle that line and communicate a lot more around our story and I think that's why it's so important for us to do that more because when when someone lands on our site they might be like oh my god that is just like what is this you know this like

this thing but there's so much more to it and so that's one thing that we're working on what you did mention about google and these other places you're totally right they're very sensitive to that when we've like looked at keywords and things like that they've marked us at times oh you're like adult content, you're this. And I do think that's something that we're trying to figure out more of, you know, how do we, how do we showcase more sides of our product that are, you know, romance oriented or what I mentioned to you, that are the fantasy content so that we can reach more people.

So that's what I will say about. Well, because it is a... I feel frustrated at times. Oh, no, me too. Like, I was like... Very frustrated. Yeah. Yeah.

Yeah, I got thrown out of... Uh, you know. YouTube at some, at one point, I, I'm on Patreon there since 2019. I started having issues, you know, I'm like, I'm starting my own site. And then when I realize I can't be on Squarespace, I'm like, literally, that's what I've been using chat cheap. Like, I need the most secure adult content place, like, where I could just go and build my shit and sleep with two eyes closed and not have to fucking worry.

Like, where could I do that? Because that's where I need to live because the rest of the world is like cuckoo for Cocoa Puff's about sex, you know? Like you said, it's like, what's the big deal? You could go on Twitter and see people like hate speech, like literally telling people to die and that's okay. But like consensual sex is still a big fucking no-no. And I get it for little kids and stuff. But when you are behind a pay site, like come on.

You know, that's what I want to ask you because you guys are like 18 plus, you know, do they have to like to get into your site because you have all this kind of content you have to make like do they have to verify or just say they're 18 plus? Like how do you verify 18 plus on your site? That's a great question, and we have been able to talk to legal folks and people who are impugent compliance. Yeah. And for us, at least, and this is where I mentioned the straddling the line. Yeah. We don't offer visual. So that helps.

Anything visual. That is a whole line for me and for us and for anyone who's listening, you know, starting a company like or, or, doing content, that is treated as very, very, very different from text. Exactly. And that is why we, we actually very cautious about things. And so we do require attestation for sure, about 18 and re-appertis, re-verifying or just saying that when you sign in. If you have explicit visuals, that is the line, though.

But there's no visuals on your. your site. Exactly. Exactly. And so that's when I think like you are, and it's not necessarily required, but almost like essentially, uh, heavily, you know, you will get in trouble if you don't verify true ID and things like that if you have these explicit visuals on our site, on your site. And we don't. Since you don't, because I think that would be a barrier for people signing up. Maybe they don't want to share that information and they just want to be on the DL and it's not like they're doing anything bad. They're just creating some hot, content, you know, like you said, text.

So they don't have to like photo ID or any of that stuff, which I think is great. But they can go on there and write a really fucking naughty story and have some if they want. Exactly. Or read some things, you know. And the funniest thing to me is that if you look on sites like Reddit or other parts of the internet. Yeah.

And I know Reddit and other platforms have mentioned, oh, this percentage of the site is you know, safe for work. All say is go on X. I know, I'm sure you know, go on Reddit. Oh my God, full on insertion. I do believe a high percentage is safe for work, but all saves, I think a high percentage is not safe for work. Totally.

On those sites. Totally. But wait, I'm on your site now and I love that I could go into fetishes and kink. And look, the third thing in is lactation. I, like, had a woman on recently who talked about, about that as something that her husband got into. And I can't tell you how many people come out of the woodwork like, oh my God, I'm into that too or blah, blah, blah.

And I'm like, you know, I'm always sort of learning kind of probably like the way you guys are of like all these different kinks that people have. Yes. Can I ask you a question? Yeah, sure. Yeah, of course. Have you through your podcast journey, learned things and fantasies that you have about yourself?

Yes, 100%. Okay. Yeah, I tell my audience. I'm very honest about it. Like I, because like, listen, I started my show and it became a show about sex by accident, but I was always the type person that was very non-judgmental and open-minded, but I never did anything crazy. Like, I haven't done any, half the things that my, anyone's done on my show, you know. But I, like, I love hearing the stories. And over time, it really talked to people for 11 years and people being so open. It made me, A, realize that I have a cuck queen fantasy, like, you know, and I never put it together until someone. told me and it was about sort of taking like a distrustful nature and having a history of cheating and taking that same energy and turning it into like more of a turn on instead of like a crazy thing and I heard that from callers and I was like oh my god like that is kind of me and I'm kind into that and I realize I was into that and then you know I yeah so yeah I totally have changed my mind and learned more about myself through that just like what you were saying happens with people

on your website and that's going to happen. I was just talking talking to Dr. David Lay, who's like a big PhD guy in the sex world, you know, sex clinical, sex therapist. And he was saying that, like, you know, he was wondering, like, is it cuckleding and hot wafing becoming more mainstream because, you know, more people are doing it or were they always doing it? No one is talking about it. And I was like, I kind of think it's like more people are just realizing stuff about themselves because more people are talking about certain things. So like, for me, I never, I never knew there was a term for it. And therefore, because there was no term for it, it was like a secret thing in my head. You know what I mean?

But once you hear other people do it and you realize you're that way, maybe then you could cop to it and then maybe you tell your partner, you know. And then, you know, everyone's like not living these fucking secret lives because I get a lot of those people on my show, you know. And so I do think that people learn, like the more you live in that world and the more open you are to learning about different things and hearing about different fetishes and kinks and all that kind of stuff, you can't, you might wind up realizing you got one yourself that you didn't know of for sure.

That is so, that is so deep. Yeah, I totally agree. Since working on Red Quill, I've had more of a, you know, language around BDSM. Right.

And that's a very, very wide world. But I realized there are parts of BDSM that I never had the language for. Yeah, I just like didn't know myself and, you know, had not read things,

read stories, like seeing these different ideas. And I thought, wow. Okay. People are getting educated probably because I know that like when I first did my show and I had my first BDSM guy on, it was during the time when, you know, that stupid book, 50 Shades of Gray was out and that was all the rage. And everyone sort of got their education of BDSM from that book. But it so wasn't like what my episode was. I was like so surprised that, you know, 90% of BDSM was like fucking nothing to do with sex.

And it was like a mind fuck and it was very mental and it was very intellectual and everything. And it was the most unsexy conversation I had, but it was so fascinating because I was like, oh my God, this book is, I get why it became so mainstream. But I don't think it was very sort of, it didn't paint the right picture, you know, because all of the, and everyone since I've talked to since, BDSM is very, you know, in your head. And it's a very, a lot of it has nothing to do with sex. Oh, 100%. Yes. Now that I learn more, I just think, 50 shades of gray, I enjoyed reading it.

It was not really well written, but it was entertaining. That's what they say, yeah. I never read it, but that's what the word on the street was. Totally. I actually think it's a washed down version of, I don't know, BDSM for sure. Yeah, yeah. And I'm not even sure what version of BDSM it is, but it actually has, yeah, anyway,

that's a whole other conversation. But it does go, it's exactly what you were saying before, though, that you do have some stories that have nothing to do with sex, but they're still like maybe taboo, like female-led relationships and femdom and humiliation, you know. So I talk to people and a lot of fetishes, you know, whether it's pantyhose or, you know, I talk to a guy, you know, sometimes it's just about, it does, it's not, doesn't have to be just about sex, you know, but they do want to live it out, you know, the guy that's got the female-led relationship thing going on. they do want the woman to take control and whatever, the guy that wants to be humiliated, he does want me to be bossy and rude to him when he calls in. You know, it's like, I don't take that role, but that's what they, that's what they fucking want. And sometimes, like you said, it doesn't have to do about sex, but they could go, like, kind of live out that narrative and put themselves in the position to really believe that they're

living that out in their real life, which I think is such a great opportunity for people that maybe don't want to, like, cheat. I did talk to a company recently that we did AI girlfriends and boyfriends. And I was like, I think like, you know, you're helping people maybe not cheat because, like, I feel like a lot of people like maybe have these secret fantasies and everything, you know, and if you could kind of like let them out and like on your site, put them on paper. And, you know, because what you resist persists and the more you hold it in, the dirtier it gets and then you got to scratch your itch. And before you know it, you know, back in the day you're on Craigslist meeting someone in a fucking alley way.

But maybe you could do if you're in a relationship, but you don't want to. you could just go live out your fantasies like this. It's like, and because it's so specific and it's, it's kind, you know, and it's, you could make it your own. It could really be way more fulfilling than, you know, watching a porn that has other people in it. Because it's like, it's really based on you. Exactly.

And I think you seeing yourself, as we talked about, as the main character, can be very helpful. We see in our, this is my guess, by the way, because there's no true ability. Yeah. But I suspect there are users who are exploring their sexuality, too, on our product. Yeah. Yeah. I love that. Because it's very typical in things like fan fiction, things, and just genres like erotica, where they're more representation of queer folks, because often, you know, you're exploring your sexual interests and then also your sexual orientation. And so, like to what you said, I think there's quite a lot of this, you know, it is what you're, what you're looking for.

And sometimes what you don't even know you're looking for, you're putting it into paper or expressing yourself into these like narratives. And I do think the stories that we tell ourselves or the stories about ourselves, are very much, you know, the stories of our lives. So it's definitely been a great thing to honestly see. You did mention AI boyfriend and girlfriends. And one thing I am sensitive to, and I just want to be clear is, you know, we have all these potential AI tools and does that make people addicted to like sex?

Yeah, that's the moral dilemma. Erotica. Yeah. And I want to be clear that at Red Quill, it's something I do think about. It's not as if this is like, oh, yeah, oh, awesome. Like, just stories and arousing people that's helpful and helping them express themselves. So we do care a lot and think about, is this an addictive product? Do we think we're helping people?

What are the safety controls? And so that is something like, you know, I do want to mention that it's not like I'm turning a blind eye or we're turning. We're like completely ignorant. that. Or even using it and wanting it to go fucking like addict mode for people so that you get more people. Like you're you're you don't want to do that like that is what you want to do because listen to back of the day a lot of these companies that did come out these social platforms like you know they were all about how do we get these people addicted and stay on you know I mean they they created everything to make you not be able to walk away so you're saying like you guys are making sure that

you don't come from that place on your site. Yeah and I think and And by the way, those patterns around getting people to pay more, you know, just at the point, I think in some of these like AI, girlfriend companies or boyfriend companies are like, it's like, just when the AI is going to send the dirty picture, it's like, oh, pay 10 more dollars. I think there's patterns like that. We're not interested in inserting into our product. Yeah. But I think that's why we're trying to tap into things.

like this is a story, the narrative, and it's a little bit longer form. So it does mean probably, I want to be clear, it does mean we probably will never make as much money as these other types of companies. But, you know, I still hope we will provide something like super valuable that people will pay for and people do enjoy. Yeah, I love what you guys got going on here. It's not safe for work. You could do a little taboo stuff. It's fetishes, it's kicks. It's all the stuff that we talk about here on my show and for people that maybe don't want to go out and live this stuff in real life.
