sexual health Saturdays episode. I'm talking to Steve. Steve had some E.D.
issues. He also had some like mood issues. He was dealing with some stuff. He didn't know what the
fuck it was. It turned out he had a prolactanoma. Okay. And that is like a peduitary tumor. His was
pretty big. Okay. And he talks all about it. He talks about exactly how he found out that he was
having a prolactanoma. He talks about all these weird symptoms that he had that he never knew all
were coming from that. They were like weird symptoms that weren't related. He talks about, you know,
what he did after he found out the medications he went on.
There was two different ones that all the types of doctors that he saw and what they all said to him.
One was super negative.
Another one changed his life.
He went on some medic, two different medications.
The first one, he fucking started cheating.
He talks all about that.
Of course, I get into his cheating story because I can never let a cheating story just go by without getting the details.
We get the details of his cheating story as well as like all the stuff that was going on in the bedroom with his first wife.
And then we talk about the other side.
You know, he eventually went on another medication.
His prolactin numbers now are completely in the norm.
His tumor doesn't exist.
He couldn't be any better now.
He doesn't even need testosterone in his 50s.
He has no more ED.
He couldn't be happier.
He did get divorced.
He talks about it all.
It's such a super interesting episode.
And I think really important for the guys to listen to it because, you know, I think it's like a simple blood test.
The prolactin test is something that maybe a lot of doctors might not look into.
but thank God his doctor did because his tumor he talks about how it was going to affect him even more so
you know in the future because it was growing and it was very big so it's a super interesting story
I'm getting a right to be right back on with Steve hi Steve welcome to the strictly anonymous podcast
how are you today yeah I'm doing really good Kathy thank you thanks for calling in and thanks for
emailing me because I started a sexual health Saturdays thing like mid year last year and I
really love talking to experts and having doctors on and all kinds of things. But I really love
when I get guys and women calling in talking about their real health things that happen to them.
I'm very into health and fitness and that's just not about me being healthy. I love health
things. Like for some reason, I probably should have been a doctor or I was a doctor in a past life
because I love medical stuff. Talking about it, hearing about it, Googling about it. I'm all into it.
And you had something called prolactanoma. Now that is a very, it's a tumor right? In your thyroid? Is that
right? Or pituitary?
It's on your pituitary gland.
Right, right.
And it's kind of common.
I mean, it's not like everybody has one, but I mean, it's like it is a common thing that people get.
Is it typically men?
Is it men and women?
Well, I mean, in my research, the prolactanoma, because it floods the guy's body with prolactin, it's only a man thing.
Yeah.
It suppresses our testosterone.
Yeah, it suppresses our testosterone.
And then that comes with a whole bunch of issues.
Right. But not only men get it, a woman could get a prolactanoma, too, correct?
Yeah, you bet you.
Yeah, okay.
And now listen, I mean, it was like something that you went through.
We're going to go through the whole process.
But somehow it landed like the side effects or whatever you went through,
landed you in a place where those side effects are beneficial.
Is that correct to say?
Yeah, most of them were yes.
Okay, that's super interesting.
So let's not go there first.
Let's like get your history like you're married guy, right, Steve?
Yes, I am.
Okay, cool.
Now, did this proletal, look, let's talk about like the symptoms.
Like, how did you even know that you had this?
Well, so this is about 15 years ago, maybe 16 years ago now.
And let's get your age because I think that's important.
Okay, I'm 53 now.
Okay, cool.
So like in your late 30s or almost 40s, right?
In my late 30s, yeah, that was in my late 30s for sure.
Around 2006, 2007.
Okay, go on.
So I was dealing with some issues with around ED.
And so, you know, was having a hard time,
maintaining an erection. And during that time, I was also having some incorrect reactions to
having that, having, you know, performance issues in bed. And so I took it personally. And what do you mean
reactions? What do you mean? Your wife saying something? What do you mean by reactions?
No. I, I, so I would, it would, you know, I'd lose my erection. And I'd just get mad and storm out
out of the room kind of thing. And so there came the psychological.
Of course. So the psychological thing that, that bit me.
Well, which I'll explain later, it's affected me a lot over the years, too.
Well, listen, the truth is, listen, testosterone doesn't just affect your sex drive.
For women, too, it affects your mood as well.
Yeah, so I was fairly, I'm not going to say volatile, but my, I had a short fuse,
not in the sense that I would get violent or anything, but I just would, I would shut down with my,
you know, the getting anger or, you know, through work, I had lots of pressure at work at that time, too.
and instead of being able to logically go through things,
my instant reaction was fury.
And that wasn't typical for you?
Not typical for me.
Right, which is important because some guys are fucking hotheads, right?
But you weren't and suddenly you were.
Yeah, that's right.
Yeah.
So with encouragement from my mom, she actually told me,
you need to go get a physical.
I mean, at 37 or 38 years old, whatever I was at that time,
my, it wasn't, you know, she,
harped on me for a while.
And so when I went to my doctor,
I'd gone there for something else.
And I asked you a quick question.
Sorry,
I interrupt all the time,
but this is the way I get all the information.
Real quick,
like you're,
I know that your mom's telling you to go to the,
I'm sure you're not telling your mom
your dick can't get,
isn't getting it up or anything.
Like,
were you trying those things in the bedroom
before you went to the doctor for your ED?
And was it like nothing was working?
Or were you not trying anything?
Yeah, no, we,
I tried some Viagra.
Mm-hmm.
And it was okay, but it didn't really help a whole bunch.
That's interesting.
I mean, the other issue with no, with the ED issues is I became, I had no sex drive.
Right.
Like I wasn't even interested in it.
And then because I reacted poorly, then it even drove it further away.
Yeah.
I was wondering if the Viagra in that situation would even help.
That's why I'm asking.
You know, would those things that help a typical guy that doesn't have a prolactanoma
is just dealing with something else?
Right.
Would that help as opposed to, it didn't.
didn't really help for you, totally. No, not totally, no. It's interesting. So I went to,
went to my doctor and I kind of explained to him what issues I was having. And so he sent me for
some blood tests. And the initial blood tests, we got, my testosterone levels were super low.
And right away, he put me on some testosterone pills. And after about a week and a half or so,
And I got another call from him to go get more blood tests.
Why?
Did he see something concerning in those tests, the initial ones?
Well, just the low testosterone and not knowing why.
Okay, right, because you're young, because you're super young at that point.
Yeah, that's right.
And I will say, my doctor was phenomenal.
Yeah, you're lucky.
He walks on water in my world.
Yeah, he's amazing.
Yeah.
So he sent me for more blood tests.
And before he was able to phone me again, I got a call from a local,
well, a hospital that had booked a CT scan.
And so the timing was really kind of goofy there.
So I got this call about a CT scan.
Why did they, wait, wait, but let me ask you this.
Why did they ask for a CT scan?
Yeah, so I'll, I'm just getting there.
So then my doctor was trying to get a hold of me to explain to me why I was having a CT
scan.
Oh, okay.
I was wondering too.
I'm surprised you're fucking, I'm surprised you didn't even call you.
I would call my doctor immediately.
I'm such a hypochondriac.
Like, why the fuck do you want me to go get a CT?
Can't I be petrified?
Yeah, well, all this stuff happened within like 45 minutes.
Oh, my God.
It was all really.
Crazy.
Yeah.
So, doctor got a hold of me and he said, you know, don't be alarmed.
He said, you know, we did.
There's something that we think is going on, but come to my office at 8 o'clock tomorrow morning
and I'll explain what's going on.
Okay.
So I kind of went on with my day and I went to his office at 8 o'clock the next morning.
Then he said, you know what?
He says, I think.
think you have a tumor on your pituitary gland called a prolactanoma.
Oh my God.
And at that moment, the room kind of closed in.
I don't even, I really don't remember anything else after that in his office.
Yeah, I can imagine.
But I did have the presence to mind to say, can you give me some resources so I can read about
this?
Right.
So anyway, I, he gave me the resources and, and he also praised it off my.
I mean, did he say to you like, listen, don't worry.
This isn't like this is kind of like, you know.
know, like, I mean, what did it, like, did he give you some hope, like, and give you the details,
like the main details that might have put you at ease a little bit?
He did.
But again, I heard tumor.
And I didn't hear anything else.
I know.
But I'm just saying let people know what the reality, like what he said after that was, like, you know, what he explains.
Yeah.
So he, he said, okay, so normal prolactin levels in a man are two to 14.
Yeah.
And he said, yours came back at greater than a thousand.
Wow.
So like, and it didn't even give a number, just just the greater than a thousand sign.
Yeah.
And so he said it.
So what I think it is is, is like he wrote it down as a macro prolactanoma.
And when we had the results from the CT scan back, the prolactanoma was about the diameter or about an inch in diameter.
And your prolactanoma is, or you're sorry, your pituitary gland is only the size of your fingernail, like the size of a pea.
So what it, what it also had done because I was suffering.
with some pretty severe migraines at the time as well.
It also deformed the skull around my optic nerve, which thankfully hadn't affected my vision
yet, but it was probably coming.
Right.
That would have sent you to the eye doctor, and they probably would have been able to see that.
Yeah, and I actually went to every six months to a year I was going to see a specialist
just to make sure, because the first thing to go was your peripheral vision.
and so I was getting test for my peripheral vision every six months to 12 months.
Once you got this diagnosis, you mean?
Once I got the diagnosis, yeah.
Okay.
But what does he tell you, like, is this cancer?
Is it not cancer?
Do, like, people survive?
Is it something that's life-threatening?
Is it like, you know, what were that?
What's that information?
Yeah.
So he told me it's not, it's most likely not cancerous.
Right.
It'll be like, I don't know what they call that, benign, I guess.
Yeah, benign.
So it, but it's, yeah.
So just, you know, a tumor that grows and a hormone secreting tumor, which like I say,
was flooding my body with prolactin.
Yeah.
And which caused all kinds of, you know, it causes mood swings.
It causes ED issues.
It puts your testosterone in the toilet.
And then the other thing it can do is, which I was lucky it didn't is, is it could also
a man can grow breasts or you could have secretions from your nipples, which I actually did
have that.
Wow.
And so you had all these weird, sometimes you just didn't put it all.
all together. But then once you have this diagnosis, it kind of makes sense. Everything comes together.
Everything came together. Yeah. Okay, guys, I want to give yourself or your partner like the best orgasm ever?
Guess who have called into my show have said that prostate orgasms are like the best orgasm ever. And that's why for
this Valentine's Day, you should get yourself or your partner a butter wellness perineum massager.
The reason why I love their massager is because it is designed to own.
be used externally. Okay, there is no need to put anything inside of you. All you got to do is
take the butter massager and use it right on the outside of your taint. And if you don't know where
your taint is, it is that super sensitive landing strip in between your balls and your asshole.
I just taped a guy who said that he had been trying to have a prostate orgasm for a long time and
tried so many toys. And then he got the butter wellness massager and it was the one that sent him
over the edge. Okay. Now,
Listen, the Butter Wellness Paronea massager is not only going to give you stronger orgasms,
it's also going to help combat ED and promote prostate health by increasing blood flow to your pelvic region.
And their massager is not only great for guys, okay, your girl could use it.
I have a massager and I use it as a vibrator.
It is very powerful.
Okay.
And right now, Butter Wellness is having their Valentine's Day sale and offering my listeners,

That's butter wellness, B-U-T-T-E-R-W-E-L-L-N-E-S-S dot com.

without having to worry about lasting longer in bed and waiting for your girl to come.
Well, let me tell you, every girl loves it when her guy comes at the same time as her.
At least I know I do.
That is like the best thing ever.
And that's why you need to check out Promesance Delay Spray.
Okay.
Their delay spray is clinically proven to make you last longer in bed without totally numbing you out.
and it's not going to transfer to your partner.

Wow.
So you had all these weird, sometimes you just didn't put it all together.
But then once you have this diagnosis, it kind of makes sense.
Everything comes together.
Everything came together.
Yeah.
So the first.
I just want to say something that has nothing to do with your story, sorry.
because I think men need to hear this.
Okay, like men go,
I don't think about it.
This has nothing to do with you.
This doesn't do with women.
Like, like,
and you know this because you had this hormone-inducing tumor growing in your body
and it fucked you up.
And, you know,
girls get something called a period and they get it every month.
And they go mental and they get moody.
And guys think they're fucking crazy and they're making that shit up.
And it is all hormones.
And I think like guys need to understand.
Like hormones fucking affect you.
And they don't get it until they're old and it's affecting them.
But when they're young, they're all so rude to their girl when she gets her period.
Feel for her, okay?
Hormones fuck you up.
Okay.
Anyway, go on.
Sorry.
Yeah, they are.
But yeah.
So, I mean, that was the mean reason I wanted to call in is to give men the courage to ask their doctor.
Because, you know, at 37 years old, the last thing I wanted to admit was I couldn't get it up.
Of course.
You're right.
Yeah.
It's so, you know, there's a lot of pride there.
And so I've, I've been very willing to share my stories with my friends and, you know, about those issues because I want to give them to courage that if they have issues, go talk to your doctor for crying out loud.
Right, because you never know, right?
Like, you had no idea.
Like, thank God it was the moods that got you finally to go, right?
But like you said, you weren't going to go to your doctor and be like, I can't get up, like 37.
And listen, I think, you know, like, I've heard from people that have had low testosterone at a young age.
like you do have to give your doctor credit for really like you know sort of not just giving you a script
and saying see you later you know what I mean kind of looking into it more because yeah that's like
really great because there was something underlying yeah yeah it was it was a really tough time in my
my life for sure and so what so you get the CT skin they find out and they're not going to know
whether it's benign or not until they take it out is it something that they take out well in in terms of
of a smaller one, yes.
But because mine is a macro prolectanoma, the surgery was not the option.
What is a macro meaning it was a big one and they can't take it out?
It's a big one.
Yeah, it's a big one.
And it's submitting so much that if, I mean, if they were to cut it out, the chances
of it growing back were almost 100%.
Interesting.
So then became the endless string of neurosurgeon and the neurosurgeon and the neuro.
Surgeon actually, that guy, he did not make my outlook seem very good.
You mean?
What did he tell you?
Well, he told me that, well, first off, no surgery.
And he said, you know, he says, you're going to be dealing with this for the rest of your life.
The chances of us getting you below 100 on your prolactin is very, very slim.
And so it was not a fun.
He literally was like definitively telling you, like, there's no cure for what you fucking have.
like this is just just just get used to this and this is it. No hope.
Yeah. Terrible. Because we know that's not the story. No. So, so then I went and saw an
endocrinologist and, and they specialize in hormones. And he, well, let's back up just a quick
sec. So my doctor put me on a drug called bromocryptine. Okay. And it's a tumor suppressing
drug and and it was working okay.
There was a few side effects,
which I can get into that just a little in a little bit here too.
Yeah, sure.
But when I went to see the endocrinologist,
he upped my drugs.
He put me on a drug called Cabergoline.
And that drug,
no,
canceled the bromocryptine and put me on cabergoline.
Okay, that's important.
Can you give the,
just before you forget,
can you just give the side effects
that you were getting from the,
the one your doctor gave you?
So what ended up happening was I started to have, well, and also during this,
with my polactin getting under control, I started to get into better shape.
I was starting to get attention from other women.
And one of the side effects of that drug that I had seen is that your inhibitions are kind of
loosened. And I ended up allowing a couple things to happen with other women.
Wait a second. I'm sorry. And I promise everyone listening, I'm going to get back to the prolactanoma
story. Okay. But I love a good cheating story. And I can't just let it go. Okay. Because you're blaming it on
the bromoline. Let me ask you, whatever the thing that you were on. Let me ask you a question,
Steve first. Okay. Had you ever cheated before in your life?
No.
You were not a cheater at all, like totally monogamous guy.
Nothing.
Interesting.
Okay, so you go on this drug and literally, what is the name of it again?
Well, the first one was bromocryptine, and this is, that's when the cheating story started.
Yeah, so bromocryptine, they literally, like, one of the side effects is you lose your inhibitions and you might start doing things you wouldn't normally, typically do.
Or be open to it.
Yes.
That's, that's what I had read, yes.
And so did you feel?
that or did you just think, oh, I just am attracted and suddenly want to cheat?
Like, I mean, did you like, did you notice this was happening to you?
No, no.
I just kind of, you know, I mean, I had gotten in a little bit better shape, so I was getting
more attention.
Yeah.
And I went on a, went on a company trip and was getting attention from a lady that was on
the trip as well.
And anyway, ended up doing some naughty stuff that night with her and not, I didn't have actual
sex with her that night.
but like I say, we were on a flight way out of town.
And yeah, it was just something I would never, ever have even considered or done in my life before that.
And, you know, she was able to get there with me.
Did your wife ever find out?
Well, not about that one, no.
Oh, so there was multiple.
How long were you on that medication for?
It sounds like you really lived it up.
Yeah, I was on that medication for a couple of years.
Oh, okay.
So you're on that for a long time.
You're making the story sound like two months later, the other guy switched you off.
So you're on that for years.
No.
Okay.
Yeah, I was on that for a couple years.
And while you're on it, you cheat.
How many times?
With four different ladies.
Wow.
Yeah.
That's kind of crazy, don't you think?
Yeah, it was.
Certainly, like, fast forwarding to today, that is not me.
Like, it was a really hard time in my life.
And I did not.
It was not my authentic self.
That's for darn sure.
Now, your wife eventually found out?
Yeah, she found out when I was, I had an affair with the neighbor across the street.
Oh, my God.
Steve, we could do a whole separate episode about your fucking cheating.
Oh, my God, sorry.
Well, yeah.
So that one was, that was really bad.
I forgot to delete a text message and that's when everything blew up.
Wait, so is the wife that you're with now not the same wife?
Correct.
Oh, okay.
So did this, did your wife at the time?
time leave you because of this, the cheating?
No, no.
We actually stayed married for another seven years.
So it ended for, it meant different reasons, way later, just, you know, shit happens.
But like, during that time, you were able to get through the cheating.
Did you, like, did you know, like, when did you realize that, oh, that medication that I was on was, like, probably the reason why I did all these crazy things?
Years, a few years later.
Right.
Because you didn't even know, right?
Because you're still on it at that point, right?
Yeah, yeah.
Right.
how did you find out years later?
Well, I just, like during all the, like going to counseling and trying to save my marriage
and I started doing a little bit more research.
And then it did, there was a one website that had come up and it said, you know,
one of your, one of the side effects could be.
And again, I don't, I'm not blaming.
I don't want to blame it on that because at the end of the day, I'm a man with free will.
I should have had enough strength to not.
but for that couple of years I didn't.
Right.
Well, listen, I know when I went on pellets, I felt like I was horny like a man, like, and I felt like uncontrolled, like it wasn't controllable.
You know what I mean?
So I think that sometimes, like, things can do things to you to alter yourself and the way that you are.
So yeah, you are your own person.
You have your own brain, but this was not really you because of that medication.
Yeah.
And then also with the side effects of, you know, before going on medication, I was a little bit heavier.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Well, yes.
I started to feel better.
So I started to do more exercise.
And then I was getting more attention and I liked the attention.
Of course.
Because you just came from having low self-esteem from all that other shit, right?
So now all of a sudden you're like living for it.
Of course.
That makes sense.
Well, I was walking around at 240 pounds.
And then after I started getting more fit, I actually, well, I was doing a bunch of running.
I got down to 168 pounds, which was a little light for me, but started to walk around at 185, which was really good.
And again, I got more attention than I probably needed at that time.
Okay.
So that medicine, seven years you're on that medicine.
And during that time, all they're doing is you're on this medicine to control this pituitary tumor and you now that's all you could do.
And does your hard ons come back, like immediately?
Like, how long did it take for you to see results?
well so with with the girls I cheated on with my wife with my ex-wife at that now had no trouble but I was still having trouble in my marriage with that and there again a lot of the psychological of of not being able to keep it up for her you know she started to blame herself and then yeah there's nothing worse for a sex life than talking about a dick that we can't get up and talking about a bad sex life like you guys just like it's hard to
not to, though, because of what you were going through, but I'm sure that definitely didn't help your guy's sex life, none of it. And no one's at fault for that. No one's at fault for that. But it happens. You know what I mean? And you could see why. Yeah. For sure. So six years ago, my, well, my ex-wife now, when I got up to go to work in the morning, her wedding ring was on the on the counter and with a note that said, decide what you want to do. We had stopped going bed together. I'd slept on the couch most of the time. Our interstate. We had stopped going bed together. I'd slept on the couch most of the time. Our
intimate life was was basically a no-go.
The last year of our marriage, I think we had sex three times in the whole year.
And, you know, that was a really tough time.
Yeah, I get it.
It was.
But what sends you to the endocrinologist?
Who sent me there?
What sent you there?
You're on the other medication for seven years, you know, and all of a sudden,
you went to an endocrinologist seven years later and went on a different medication.
Why?
And what happens?
Well, my doctor sent me there because he figured, like, my prolactin levels weren't dropping as fast as he thought they could.
Over seven years.
So I went to see, yeah, so I went to see an endocrinologist.
He changed my drug to a drug called Cabergoline, which is what I'm on today still.
And so took my prolactin levels all the way down to 12 now.
Wow, that's normal, right?
Yeah, it is, it's in the normal range.
My testosterone levels are perfect.
and at 53 years old
I mean my sex life today is
10 times, 100 times better
than it was in my 30s.
Wow, can you believe? Imagine you just stopped at that first
doctor who told you the neuros
the neuro guy, like that told you
that there was nothing you could do?
Then your prolactin levels would never go down?
And then this endocrinologist gets it down
to normal levels? I mean, how could that
how could two people, like
you know, it really just shows you really have to
advocate for yourself and not just take
like someone's words as gold. You never
know, you know what I mean? Like, you got to see more than one doctor. Yeah, 100%. Yeah. Or have a doctor
like mine. He is, I will sing his praises till the day I die. Right, because he was the one that was like,
okay, let's try something else, right? He said he to that first doctor, but now he sent you to this one.
Yeah, that's great. Right. And so what were the changes that you had from that? Like, what changed
when you went on that drug? Like, what changes did you feel? Well, I mean, I started to, well,
first off, my headaches were gone. And then I was, I started to, I started to, I started to, I started
have more interest in in sex.
And, yeah, just my energy levels were better.
My mood swings were gone.
There was weight loss.
Like, everything was positive.
Right.
You know, felt like myself again, which, I mean,
in a long time since I felt that way.
Yeah, it sounds like it.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So then in, in,
like, you know, this happened two months after you were diagnosed.
I mean, seven years.
as you were on that other medication.
So this is like many years later.
It's many years later, yeah.

You're from diagnosis, especially.
I mean, it wasn't like, you know, this happened two months after you were diagnosed.
I mean, seven years you were on that other medication.
So this is like many years later.
It's many years later, yeah.
And so now that's the only thing I take now is that Kepbergeline.
And again, it's fantastic.
I only have to take it twice a week.
But I will have to take it for the rest of my life.
Let me ask you this.
Does anything shrink like your tumor?
or no? Like, yeah, so that's a good question. So I've, I've probably had four or five MRIs
throughout this time as well. And so my, the prolactanoma is completely shrunk. Like there is no
evidence of it attached my pituitary gland anymore. Wait, the prolactanoma, the tumor.
Yeah, the tumor's shrunk to nothing. Wow. And the only evidence of it there is you can still see where it had
deformed my my skull around my optic nerve.
Like that'll never change.
Yeah, right.
Okay.
Now, in early 2020, after I, well, my wife and I separated, I actually went off the drugs for a
little bit because there was where I lived, there was a bunch of issues with, with
pharmacare and all this kind of stuff.
And anyway, they, yeah, well, yeah, and the drug's really expensive.
And so I just, I was like, well, you know what?
let's try it off for a bit.
Yeah.
So I went off it for about six months and got my blood tested again and my pro or my prolactin
levels were over 160 again.
So and I started to experience the same, you know, ED issues.
Wow.
So quickly.
So quickly.
Yeah, very quickly.
So I went back on the drug and and now like I say, my prolactin levels are at 12.
So that that drug is is very, very effective.
And let me ask you this.
Like if it disappears.
Totally. Like, what do doctors say? Like, if you went off the drugs, like, it would just completely grow back. Like, it is it still exists, but it's like sort of like, is it like, you know, like you would grow it back or is it gone totally?
Well, so that was one of the hopes that my doctor had was that, you know, eventually we can probably take you off the prolactin.
Right. Or sorry, the Caburgillian, sorry. Yeah. And then, you know, hopefully it won't come back. So this was a little experiment that I did. But let me ask you this.
which I should have done by him.
No, it's okay.
You tried it.
But at that time, were you already shrunk, like, had nothing in there, it was already shrunk
to zero?
Correct.
Okay.
So it was the right time.
Yeah.
Yeah.
My pro lactone levels at the beginning of 2020 were right around that 12 to 14.
So, like, right in the right, like higher range, but in the safe range.
Right.
And in six months, it grew up to 160.
Yeah.
So it was really.
get back on the medication.
Okay, I have a bunch of questions.
I got more questions.
So by the way, this medication, the new medication that keeps it down and shrunk it to
nothing like any side effects that are negative or anything that it does, because you take
it daily, right?
And you have to basically take it the rest of your life.
Twice a week.
Okay, twice a week.
That's not bad.
Any side effects from it besides it making you feel great?
You know what I mean?
And like curing what you have.
Any bad side effects?
Not that I've experienced.
There are some that could be, you know, dizziness and that kind of thing.
every medication.
Yeah, but I haven't experienced any of those.
Everything is,
it's 100% positive for me.
Yeah, that's great.
It's like it's curing your,
your problem.
My other question I have is like,
for other people like,
like,
my other question was like,
because in the past,
like for people that it's like when it,
it shrinks down or when,
if it's smaller,
they can actually go in and take it out.
Like,
why was it,
was there ever a chance that,
oh,
let's shrink it and see if it shrinks.
and if it gets small enough, we'll go in there and like scoop it out, like surgically or no?
That was never suggested.
And I think mainly because if I had success with the drug shrinking, in order to take it out,
they basically have to go up between your nose and your upper jaw and go in your skull that way.
And so I was pretty okay with just taking the drugs and not doing that surgery.
Yeah, I wonder if some people that have a smaller one, maybe.
instead of surgery, they would just go on the medication if it shrinks it anyway or gets rid of it.
Yeah.
Yeah, for sure.
But yeah, because mine was such a big one, or such a big one, they didn't want to do the surgery.
Let me ask you this.
Now, is this something that's like, you know, in your family, anyone else in your family that you know that has this?
Is this just a you thing?
Yeah, no one.
No one.
It's just a me thing.
Right.
Okay.
Have you, okay.
Do they say like what they, like, is it just something you're born with?
Like, do they have any reasons why they think that people could have this?
Or is it something that you were born with that you just didn't know?
Well, it's just, I mean, that it's actually pretty good chances that people can have it.
Like, it's not like it's ultra rare.
Yeah, that's what I think.
You hear of the, you know, these people that have giantism.
Those are also a tumor on your pituitary gland, but they secretees growth hormone instead, whereas mine was a prolactin, which, you know, it's like in women, prolactin helps you, or,
make milk, produce milk for your babies. And so in a man, it's, when it's elevated, it does lots of
bad things for her to us. Yeah. And they say when, like I looked it up, they say that it is,
it is very common. A lot of people have it and don't even know, right? Because it's asymptomatic.
It's more frequent in women. Yeah, there you go. Yeah, it's, which is super interesting. You know,
maybe I have a prolactin. Prolactinoma. People wouldn't know unless you, I mean, you had symptoms, and that's why
you went and yours was growing and yours was very big. How long were you experiencing headaches for?
Well, I've actually, like when I look back, I was probably experiencing a little bit of
side effects since my teenage years. Wow. Interesting. Because I had, I had headache trouble and
migraine trouble since my mid-teens all the way through. Yeah, right when you started getting your
hormones, maybe. Right. And then right around and during that time, too, I was, I was,
able to secrete little bits of fluid from my nipples, too. So it was a, it definitely was there
for many, many, many years. But the, the big side effects of with the ED issues and stuff didn't
start until my 30s. Yeah, that's interesting. So you remember being like overly horny, like a regular
guy, you know, because guys in their teenage years and 20s, they're like crazy horny, right? Like,
you just, you were like totally normal at that time in your life. I was. Yeah. 100%.
Yeah. They do say that a lot of guys, even younger guys, are seeing lower.
testosterone in men more and more.
Like, you know, and I just think a lot of doctors, like I said, you know, you do really
got to give your doctor credit for, like seeing the low testosterone and then digging
deeper because I think sometimes they don't, you know, and they could be this.
And it could, like, I mean, for you over time, then the, like, the symptoms were going
to get worse.
Like, when it was growing towards your optic nerves, like, what would it have done to your vision
or could have done?
But it would be go blind.
You're kidding.
I could have went blind, yeah, 100%.
Wow.
That's crazy.
But you saw no vision changes.
No, not, not yet.
No.
Right.
And had you ever been to an ophthalmologist?
I think it would have been a few more years.
Oh yeah.
Yeah.
I wear glasses.
So, you know, I've always.
Well, because typically when you go, yeah, but it's interesting.
Like, had you ever been, had your eyes dilated when you went?
I'm sure you did, right?
Yeah, I had.
Yeah.
I'm surprised they didn't see it because I feel like when they dilate,
they could see pressure and stuff in there.
You know what I mean?
Yeah, but it hadn't put the pressure yet.
Right.
You got a right in time.
Yeah.
I did.
We were probably within a year or two or three of it really starting to affect my vision.
Yeah, that makes sense.
Because listen, if you went because it was affecting your vision, that would have meant that your pressure was off.
And that's why that's when they would have seen it.
They didn't see it because it wasn't affecting your vision or probably wasn't creating that pressure yet.
That's like super interesting.
Yeah.
Go on.
And then your pride keeps you from asking about it.
it. About what? Right? Well, with having the EDD issues, it was something that I certainly didn't
talk about, right? I know. And that's like the biggest thing. It was embarrassing. Yeah. And what do you say
to a guy who's listening is like, yeah, that's like where I'm at. Like it's, you know,
it's like you just have to, like you have to say it out loud, right? Doctors don't give a shit.
Have the courage. Have the courage to ask your doctor. Right. Right. At any age.
Because it's life changing. Right. Yeah, 100% at any age. Yeah. And this could be a reason for
an older guy too. It's not just like younger guys, right? I mean, this could happen to anybody.
At any time. For anybody at any time, right? Because listen, it's very common for an older guy to go
and get his testosterone check and it's going to be low. And I remember somebody saying that, you know,
that they had very low testosterone and if nothing was, maybe it was when I had a doctor expert
talking about how like, you know, this could be one of the reasons. And it's like you always want
to check every reason for why you have low testosterone and, you know, because it could be not just old
age, right? It could be older, being old, it could be someone has this because it is very common.
Yeah. And so how did they know that it wasn't cancerous? Because like typically they'll do a biopsy,
right? Like, but they couldn't do a biopsy because they didn't go in there. So how did they know that
it was benign? Well, I guess they were 99.9.9% sure it wasn't. Right. It was. Right.
Right. So. And then when when I was reacting very positively to the drugs. Yeah.
that confirms it.
Oh, okay.
So that's how they know if they don't biopsy by it going down.
Right.
Yeah, that's super interesting.
I've had a lot of, I'm like one of those people that just grows benign things in my body.
Like I had a baryngis that was like a big tumor that was in.
I had something on my back that was a big tumor that was nothing.
I just like grow big benign things all the time.
I had a lot of cysts of my breast, you know.
And it's like, but typically you know because they do a biopsy or it shrinks.
and, you know, like, cancer will never shrink, right?
Like, I mean, now with immunotherapy, it can, but you weren't on immunotherapy, right?
Like, you're just on the regular drug.
So obviously, it wasn't cancerous.
Wow.
And listen, I don't know about you, but like, for me, I live in the 1% for good or bad, right?
So if they're telling me, oh, there's a 1% chance, it could be.
And I've had those times where it's like, well, you have this.
And, you know, I'm like, I just want to make sure it's not.
It's still scary, right?
Yeah.
It is.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah, that was a, it was a, like, it was a very,
scary time. I could imagine, right? Even if there's tell you 99.9% you don't fucking know,
you know what I mean? Like until you know for sure. Yeah, 100%. Yeah, crazy. And then you go to that
doctor at one point and he tells you like, oh, you know, he gives you like the worst news that you're
never going to be like, what was he basically saying? Like if your, if your numbers would stay high,
like you'd never have an erection again? No. I mean, again, he was a neurosurgeon and he,
he had, I feel he had a real God complex. Like, yeah, he was, he was an arrogant cocky prick,
honestly. I didn't, I didn't like it. I didn't like him at all. Yeah, yeah. And, and yeah, he, I mean,
basically, it's been, it's a long time ago now. So, but I, I remember him saying that, yeah, the chances of
getting you under 100 on your prolactan levels are probably almost zero, you know, so that you're
going to have to deal with certain amount of things for the rest of your life. Wouldn't you love
to set him a ladder with your story just to let him know?
You were so fucking wrong.
Mr. God complex.
You're not God, by the way.
You didn't know what the fuck you were talking about.
And how terrible that is to sort of be so dismissive.
And, you know, this is it kind of thing.
You know what I mean?
He basically, like, told you straight up.
Like, that's the fact.
That's the fact.
And coming from somebody, like if you were, you know, like a lot of people,
you would just believe him.
Like, that would have been, you know, super depressing.
But like, thank God you got like, you went to somebody else.
But you were probably depressed after that for a while until you heard something different from somebody else.
Yeah, it was a tough ride home because where he was was about an hour and a half from where I live.
Yeah.
And so that hour and a half drive home wasn't, it was a tough.
It was tough.
Yeah, terrible.
Yeah.
But once I got to see the endocrinologist, I mean, everything changed from then.
Yeah, thank up for that, doctor.
And so now where are you at now, you wind up meeting another woman because you're married?
Yes.
Right?
Yes.
Yeah, so I met another woman.
And she's also in a second time around.
Uh-huh.
And yeah, she came from not a good marriage, lots of abuse and alcoholism and all that kind of stuff.
Right.
And, you know, I actually got introduced to her by her sister, you know, after my ex-wife and I split up.
How do you know the sister?
I live three doors down for me on where I lived.
Oh, my God.
three, you banged three people on that block.
The neighbor, your wife and this girl.
No, I sold.
No, no.
Well, when you do that across, when your neighbors across the street, you've got to sell your house.
Oh.
Oh, you guys moved after the cheating.
Yeah.
Oh, okay.
Yeah, sold the place.
And then I bought a, yeah, I bought another place.
And that was back in like 15 or 16.
And then my current wife's sister moved in down the street.
Oh, wow.
So you knew them.
About six months after we moved in.
Yeah.
So you knew them.
Interesting.
Yeah.
And she knew her.
And how long ago, like how long before you met her sister was she divorced?
Like, was she divorced at around the same time you were, her sister?
Five years.
Oh, wow.
So she was like looking for somebody.
And this lady, her sister, like, knew you and knew you were a good guy and was like, set you guys up.
Yeah.
Yeah.
That's kind of a great story.
About three weeks to a month after I left my wife of 24 years.
You're kidding.
that soon after?
It made my life pretty complicated for a little bit, as you can well imagine.
Well, that's a cup after.
I'm sorry, but that's a cup half empty look of things.
I see that as great.
Like, you didn't even have time to get depressed.
You were like in a no relationship.
That's two, three weeks later.
Yeah.
And she, like moving, you know, the connection that I end up having with her and is something
that I've never experienced in my life.
Like at 53.
years old, my, my intimate life is, is out of this world. Right. She, like, we have, we have a
tremendous amount of freedom with each other, uh, and, and confidence in each other. And I mean,
she's experiencing things. She's never experienced in her life, too, which is just, it's amazing.
Like what? Are you guys swingers? No, no, no. Okay. No, just, you know, she was, she's
never been able to have multiple orgasms. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Right. Yeah. And, and lots of
you know, like we're once or twice a day all the time.
Right.
And so you have like you're like you have the, are you still, by the way, quick question,
are you still on testosterone as well as the medication just because you're in your 50s now?
No.
You don't even need testosterone.
I don't.
No, my levels are good.
Yeah.
That's amazing.
That's great.
Yeah.
And my confidence in the bedroom has, has, well, she's really helped me with that.
You know, because there was a short time where I was still, when I, when I, when I,
went off my cabberglene that I was having the ED issues a little bit again with her. And so there was
the thing that I learned from my marriage and into my new marriage is communication is utmost
importance. I would shut down in my previous marriage and in this marriage, I don't. We talk. And that
alone, I think, is what has built into what we are today is we have tremendous. We have tremendous
communication. Right. And so when you were going through that ED with her, what did you do
differently with her that you didn't do with the first wife? I stayed in bed and we talked.
Right. Instead of getting up, slamming the door and leaving the room. That was, that was huge. And then,
and then also, you know, with, of course, that brought in lots of confidence issues for her,
which we had to really talk through because, you know, she had to know it wasn't
her. And when I went back to my doctor and he realized that my levels were up to 160 again,
I went onto the drugs again. And within a couple months, it wasn't an issue again. Right. And you were
able to, you and your, and your girl were able to get that spark back. It wasn't like destroyed by
that little bout of ED, right? No, not at all. Because we were able to communicate through it. And,
you know, I mean, and it got resolved quicker. I mean, it was resolved quicker. It did.
It probably wasn't resolved with your wife for years.
I mean, you had issues, right?
With her?
Yeah, yeah.
So this is different because it was only months, correct?
Yes.
Yeah.
And again, but also being able to talk about it with her.
Right.
And having that confidence and not to be worried about, you know, what she's going to think and that kind of thing.
And so the confidence to be able to communicate what I was going through also gave her the security to know that this,
isn't her, so let's work through it.
Right.
And, you know, so we used some Viagra, and that worked for me then.
Interesting.
Okay, that's important.
That's interesting.
Yeah.
And so, but with your first wife, the reason why you weren't communicating, it was more
on you because you didn't, like, you weren't even yourself, right?
Because you had these, like this really messed up hormones.
I mean, you know, your other wife just got you at a very different time.
You know, this woman is getting a different guy than your first wife got, right?
For sure.
She is.
Yeah.
Yeah, totally.
Yeah.
Right.
Is your ex-wife remarried?
Well, she does have a boyfriend.
Okay.
Does she, because you said there was a little drama when you met this girl because there's
only three weeks later and it's someone on your fucking block and whatever.
Like, I mean, are you good with your ex-wife now?
Yeah, we're pretty good.
Yeah.
I mean, certainly, like, because we have children together and we have grandchildren.
Yeah.
So there's birthdays and all the stuff and Christmas concerts for the grandchildren.
And yes, we, we.
can, it's very amicable now. Yeah, that's good. And she, she really likes my new wife and
my kids absolutely adore her. The grandkids love her like crazy. And yeah, life is really,
really good today. Yeah, that's amazing. That's the best part of everything. And that's the most
important thing. And I'm sure your wife is happier too, whatever she's doing, right? Like, I mean,
I feel like sometimes, like, you know, because divorce gets such a bad rap. Like, not that it's like a
great thing, right? It's a terrible thing and it's devastating and it's a death, right? But sometimes, like,
not everything is meant to be forever and people look at divorces like such a failure, you know,
and it's really not. I mean, you're with your wife for a very long time, you know what I mean? But it was
time that you guys went your separate ways and you're both happier because of it so many years later,
right, on the other side. So, you know, at your late 40s to be able, you know, to be able to have a new
life and be happy. Like, it would have been really crappy for the last, you know, 20, 30 years of my life to be
unhappy. And you know what? Steve, so many people are on that path. You know what I mean? And they just
become bitter older people. I don't like to use the word old. It's rude because I'm old. It's older.
But they become bitter people and that's like, like I had a baby by the way at 46 as a single, you know,
and a lot of people are like, oh, how can you fucking do it's like, I have to tell you like it's the best time of
my life. When typically, you know, women are turning into Cairns and they're 50, I've never been
happier. You know what I mean? Like because my son like changed my life. It's like sunshine.
every fucking day, happiest time of my life,
when a lot of people are miserable when they're older
because people don't do, like they don't make changes,
they don't change things up, they don't, you know,
they sort of like Groundhog Day, they're set on it,
they're in their sort of way,
they've been so miserable for so long,
they don't even know they're not fucking happy,
you know what I mean, but you're here to say,
yeah, you're here to say, like, look on the other side,
like a whole new life and you have so much time ahead of you.
Like, you know, it was a,
But it's a great thing.
So, you know, I mean, listen, you're calling it not to talk about like getting divorce and being happy, but like to talk about the prolactanoma, which I think is so fascinating.
I was so excited when you email me.
But it's so key to.
Yeah.
It's so key to everything, though.
Like, all the things that I've experienced my life was was so, this was so pivotal in it.
And to be where I am today.
You would not be there without it.
Yeah, back in 06 or 07, there's no way I would have thought I was going to be where I am today.
Yeah, crazy, right?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Interesting.
That's why I like to like watch biographies and stuff.
Because sometimes you think like, you know, like bad things while they're happening are bad, right?
But most of the time when you look back so many years later, sometimes you see, oh, there was a purpose.
Like I would never be here if I wasn't there.
So you could kind of like say a big thanks to everything that happens in life, right?
Even the bad things.
Yeah.
That's how I look at it.
Well, I mean, the, you know, the infidelity part of things, I mean, fast forwarding to today, that is that was so.
not me.
Right.
Right.
I, like, I am loyal to my wife.
There's beyond.
And I believe that.
She's incredible.
I hate when people say, like, once a cheater, oh, he's a cheater.
You know, like, I am not a cheater at all, but when I used to drink, like, I cheated.
And it wasn't me.
And a lot of people think, and this is the last thing I'm going to say, and this is
another to do with your story.
But, like, a lot of people think, like, when people drink and, like, you know,
that the real them comes out.
And that's not fucking true, actually.
It's like the worst.
It's not who they are.
And that's a fucking problem.
And that's why I quit drinking,
because it was just making me be someone I wasn't.
You know what I mean?
I would cheat and I'm not a fucking cheater.
And it was the alcohol.
And I can blame it on that.
It was like, I mean, I had to quit it and I had to take ownership for why I was doing it.
But, you know, a lot of times what people, it's not like you can't just say,
oh, someone cheated in their life.
And that's like, you know, once a cheater, oh, he's a cheater.
Not fucking true.
You have to hear the whole story.
And I love that you ended with that.
Like it really wasn't you and you're back to being you and you couldn't be happier.
Yeah, 100%.
Yeah, I love it.
Thank you so much, Steve, for calling up and telling this story.
I love it.
I think, you know, tons of people are going to listen because it's super interesting.
Probably a lot of people will be able to relate.
I'll make sure to title it in a good way.
So that tons of people listen.
So especially guys with, you know, E.D or low testosterone so that, you know, maybe they go
and get their fucking levels checked.
Do you know what I mean?
Yeah.
Yeah.
100%.
Yeah, I love it.
Have the confidence to ask your doctor.
Yeah, go get your, go get some tests done.
You never know.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And listen, it's manageable.
And you had a big one.
You had like the worst prognosis, right?
Like a lot of people are going to go and they might have a small one and it's not as bad.
You had like a pretty bad one considering.
And, you know, you were able to work through it.
So I think you really give people hope.
Well, I hope so.
That's the whole premise of why I wanted to call in today.
Yeah, I love it.
Thanks so much for calling in your episode will be up either this Saturday or next, okay?
Yes.
All right. Awesome. Thanks, Steve. Thanks so much for calling in. You bet. Thanks, Kathy. Bye.
Okay. Okay. I just want to tell you before you go that I do have a book. The book is called Shicklandonymous Confessions. Secret Sex Lives of Total Strangers. The book is basically 17 different stories taken from my show. I kind of picked one story from each category that I talk about on my show. Like there's a hot wife story. There's a cuck queen story. There's a cuckold story. There's a gang bang girl story. Like I said, 17 stories.
And they're all told in the third person, right? So I took the interview and I rewrote it in the third
person. I wouldn't call it like an erotica book, though there's plenty of sex in there, right? But I didn't
write it to sound like erotica because that's like the vibe of my show. You're going to learn a lot.
You're probably going to get a little turned on. It's a different way to hear these stories,
like I said, because they're written out in third person. There's an e-book available if you don't
want your partner to know that you're reading my book. Get the e-book. It's available. If you buy my book,
in any format, I will throw in a complimentary link to my Discord. My Discord does not disappoint. Okay,
there's no way you'll get the Discord and go in there and be like, oh, this sucks. Okay, it's like pretty
amazing. There's tons of people on there and everybody shares content with each other.
That's what's great about Discord. You get to post your own videos and pictures and there's tons of channels
and we have contests over there. It's a super fun place to be. I will be giving anyone that buys my
book at any time access to my Discord. It is private. This is the only way you could get in is through me
giving you the link. And that's why I think my Discord
is so great because I have vetted people.
It's not like it's just open to the public.
So everybody that's in there are people that listen to my show.
And people that listen to my show are fucking great.

Erotica book. Think like Penthouse Letters. It's more direct. It's not so over the top like
erotica. I don't really like that kind of vibe, right? But these are true stories. 17 of them.
