Anyway, today I have on Emmy and Andy.
I mean Andy are super interesting.
They're a couple.
They have their own YouTube channel.
It's called Andy Wells.
They do talk about their open relationship, BDSM, kink, mental health, all that kind of good stuff.
They came on to talk about their open relationship.
They talked about how they met, how they opened it.
They were open from the get-go and just like sort of having casual sex, sleeping with other people while they were together.
And then they decided to get serious.
They talk about that because it wasn't like an easy thing, how they decided to get serious with each other after a while.
and then, you know, how they continued to be open.
Things changed once they became serious.
They talk about that.
We talk about their past history, like, separate from each other.
He had a difficult past, and there was a time where he was, like, into the whole pickup
artist stuff, and he was just sleeping with tons of women.
He talks about that, and now he's in this relationship with Emmy, and Amy talks about
her backstory on how she was always into kink and stuff, and then eventually met Andy and now
enjoys, like, regular sex, because before that she was like.
that's all that stuff. But they also have a girlfriend who they've been with for two years. They used to
just like sleep with a lot of different women. Now they're with one woman and they've been with her
for two years. It's kind of like a poly situation and they talk all about it. They're super
interesting couple. They like I said, have their own YouTube channel and podcast where they
talk about all this stuff that they talked about this on this episode, but much more in depth.
Andy Wells is the name of the podcast and the YouTube channel. I'll put this, uh, links
to their stuff in the description. But anyway, I'm going to be right back on with Andy and
Imi. Hi, Imi and Andy. Welcome to the Strictly Anonymous podcast. How are you guys all the way
over there in Australia? You're like a day ahead of me, correct? Is it Sunday there, Saturday?
I don't know. Are you behind me or ahead of like the United States as far as days are concerned?
Yes, it's 7 a.m. Sunday morning for us. Oh, okay. We're in the future, baby. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
You are in the future? Crazy. And you're also, are you on like the bottom of the earth or on the top of
earth. I'm so bad with geography, but I know you're very far away. But you're not far away in what I talk about on my show. You are a couple. You live in Australia. You're a young couple who have an open marriage and you sleep with women. You bring women into your relationship. You guys do have a YouTube channel. I'm impressed with the fact that you're still able to be on there talking about what you do because I got fucking deleted doing the same thing. But you guys do have a YouTube channel. It's called, you just changed it to the name.
is Andy Wells, W-E-L-L-S.
I will put a link to your YouTube channel
in the description.
Now, do you guys on your YouTube channel,
do you talk about your open marriage
and stuff like that?
Is that what it's about?
So it is actually, it's an open,
we're not married, although that might be on the cards
in a couple years from now.
But yes, we know we do talk about that
as well as like general
self-development, self-improvement.
We talk about, yeah, sex, kink,
relationships, dating, all sorts of bits
and bob. So it's not just about being an
open relationships. It's lots of
different things in there as well.
Right. All the layers that go with it, right? Which I love. I love that. Yeah, that's cool.
But so you guys, though, have been together for a long time, right? And that's what makes you
experts. It's not like, I mean, you are young. Emmys 24, Andy's 37. But you guys have been
together for many years, correct? Yeah, we have. Yeah. I wouldn't say we're experts. That's a hell
of a word to throw around. No, well, you're not newbies. A relationship works for us.
You're not newbies. Yeah. Well, okay, let me ask you this. Because I've talked to, you know, I have over
900 episodes at this point. And, you know, I talk to people who have been doing it, you know,
after a year, after two years, after 10 years, after 40 years, you know, for you guys,
you know, you're together six years. Did you start off this way or did it happen like two years
ago that you guys decided to do this? So it started off when we first started dating. It was
incredibly casual. Like it was very much like non-exclusive. There were no real expectations. And so
in a way it's always been open.
Yeah.
And just as things have progressed,
we've kept aspects of the open relationship,
but we've just become more serious as a couple
and very committed to each other.
And it's definitely been an iterative process.
And there's been a lot of learning along the way.
And it's still been, like,
I guess boundaries and expectations put in place
as things have become more serious.
And like, for example, when we first started dating,
it was a case of like you can see whoever you want,
There's not a lot in the way of rules or expectations.
And then as time's gone on, it's been a case of like, well, now we only really see women together.
We have kind of had discussions of us each seeing people independently again, if that's something that we wanted to do.
But at the moment, we're just seeing other women together as a couple.
So we date as a couple.
But you've done other things.
And we'll get your whole, you know, history now.
But that's where you're at now.
But it didn't start out that way is what you're saying.
it was casual and you went in like open.
This isn't really going to amount to anything.
You probably never expected to still be with each other six years later,
possibly married in three years.
So you were just like having fun in the beginning.
And so it was easy to sort of sleep with other people is what you're saying, right?
And like, because you didn't have, you know,
and have no rules then because you weren't emotionally attached to each other.
Yeah, it was definitely very different.
And finally enough, actually, it was about,
it's funny that you mentioned that like they weren't.
really expectations and it was a bit easier and there's the expectation that's not going to last because
I think it was about a year in. I actually broke up with Andy because I was wanting something
that felt more committed and I was wanting more. And then after that, that actually initiated
a big conversation about like expectations and what we both wanted going forward because we
both really lacked one another. But a few things needed to shift in the relationship dynamic
for me to be, I guess, satisfied or feel wanted enough was probably a good way of expressing it.
Since I met Andy, he was always very honest and very transparent of like missing other people.
I'm never somebody that can be monogamous because you, Andy, you tried being monogamous in previous
relationships and it was just very, very challenging for you and it didn't end particularly well.
And so because that was always like, I think you would have brought it up, you know, once a week.
You make it very, very clear of like, I'm not monogamous.
I can't be monogamous.
I was like, right.
Yeah.
Yeah, I said it like hundreds of times to make sure.
Well, listen, you know what?
Isn't that better than the guy who's not saying it.
just banging hundreds of girls behind his girlfriend's back.
I know, right?
Take your pick, which guy do you want?
Yeah.
Yeah, and I guess the reason that it ended up being at that point in time,
like a breakup rather than like a conversation about what we wanted,
it was because I thought Andy was so set and so clear on what he wanted
because he'd said it about a thousand times that I was like,
all right, well, it's not a negotiable.
It's just like this is what is probably not right for me.
So I'm going to have to make the tricky decision to be in love,
but to break up with somebody because I know it wasn't what was right for me,
but I think because of that, it did start that conversation.
Maybe, Andy, you were more willing to discuss and maybe we're more flexible than I thought you were.
Yeah, and it's like we misunderstood what we were both wanting.
I basically said to her after the breakup, I was like, wait, would you be happy to keep this relationship going and to go deeper and build more if we dated women together?
And she was like, yeah, and I was like, wait, then why did we break up?
Like, I'm okay with that.
It was sort of more of a misunderstanding, I think.
Right. So you, Imi, knew that you wanted more exclusivity, but it wasn't like you just totally
wanted a relationship with one person to be monogamous. Well, it's interesting because I think
I'm probably somebody that is quite adaptable. So like another example is that like Andy is someone
who's had a vasectomy. So we're not going to have kids. But I think if I was with somebody who was
like really passionate about marriage and building a family, I could also be swayed in that direction
and get really on board with that.
And I think it's the same in this case in which,
like, I'm probably actually more monogamous at heart.
Like, there's probably more of a leaning towards monogamy,
but I'm still somewhere on the spectrum
that is obviously open to aspects of an open relationship.
And so it was a case in which Andy offers enough to my life
so that I'm very happy to be in this relationship
because there's a lot of love
and I'm growing a lot in the relationship.
So I was happy to explore aspects of the...
the open relationship side with some changes at that point in time.
Right.
Because so at that point in time,
you were seeing people separately in Solo.
Is that what was going down?
Because I know that you switched to it only being together.
What was the setup for that first year?
It was more either of us could see anybody.
But I think at that point in time,
again,
I think maybe because I am somewhat more monogamous,
I didn't really have any interest in seeing other people.
It was interesting, actually,
because Andy was seeing other people and I knew he was and he was very clear about that,
I almost felt this pressure that I had to be doing so as well,
because otherwise there would be a weirdness or an imbalance.
So I was kind of pushing myself to see people, but I didn't really want to.
It almost felt like I was forcing myself to see other people in addition to Andy's,
like specifically other men because then it would be like fair.
But I really wasn't enjoying it.
And so basically for like after six months,
I wasn't really seeing anybody other than Andy and any women that Andy was also saying that we might see together.
And I think at that point in time, I was aware that it was Andy that was just seeing other people.
And I felt like I was almost monogamous with Andy, but Andy wasn't with me, if that makes sense.
I think that that totally works and can work.
And I've heard every kind of variation of, you know, open relationships.
They're all set up different.
and it really all depends on what works.
Yeah, 100%.
And it's interesting because I think a lot of outside opinions can kind of sway where you're at.
Because I think like if you say to the average person that's in a monogamous relationship,
it's very vanilla.
They're like, that's not fair.
Like that you should, it should be fair and balanced and equal.
And it's, yeah, it's understanding that that might not be your preference.

my podcast. It should be fair and balanced and equal. And it's, yeah, it's understanding that
that might not be your preference. Yeah, we've had so many comments, maybe not a lot, but we've had
comments sometimes on our YouTube channel from people saying, but this isn't fair. And we've said,
yeah, but we've both just literally told you that we're both very happy. Are you telling us to do
something that's more fair that would make us both unhappy? Like, are you putting, quote, fairness
above happiness? So I think sometimes people get lost in that in the pursuit of like equality and
fairness. They don't ask themselves what they both actually want. That's never people in the lifestyle.
That's always people outside of the lifestyle, just like sort of interjecting and projecting how they would feel
in it. I mean, to me, what's most important is that nobody twist themselves up into a pretzel to do
something for the other person, you know? And that's what's kind of interesting about you, Amy, because you said,
like, it's not like you were, because there was a certain point where you're like, oh, you're just
sleeping with other people because he is. And then, you know, you want to leave him because you want to have a more
traditional relationship. But he's like, well, can we still do this? And you're like, okay, it's not like
you were going against what you wanted. You're just the type of person that could just kind of go with
the flow? Like, did you do it for him in the beginning? Or was it something that was appealing to you as
well? I think, yeah, if I'm totally honest, it probably was for Andy in the beginning. Because when I
first met Andy, I was young. It was my first relationship. I was very in love. I, at that point in time,
didn't have a lot of confidence and probably not a lot of self-esteem. And I was probably willing to go
along with things that I wasn't actually happy with. And it's, it's been interesting how things have kind of
naturally played out and evolved. As I've grown, Andy's also grown and we've evolved so much. And I feel like
there's so much more love and kindness and like self-knowledge that's being discovered in the relationship on
both sides. Well, listen, you got a complete honesty in your relationship and I think that's a lot of what
most relationships are lacking. You know, I mean, you have a guy that's like completely 100% like,
this is who the fuck I am and I don't care. I give Andy credit for being so,
up front and honest and at least you know you have that with him and I think that that's so great
right because you have that builds trust in a relationship it's funny that you mention honesty
you have no idea how many of my clients that I work with like coaching clients that I work with
on their like sex life or their relationship life they will say that they really want something
like it's their biggest hope and dream for a relationship and I'll say great why don't you just tell
everybody that you're dating that that's what you want and they'll go well I can't do that you know I
can't just be honest because what if I get rejected? And it's like, well, if you get rejected,
then you move on to the next person and you say, would you like this? And you keep asking until
you find the person who says, yes, I want what you're looking for. But that, like you said,
almost seems too good to be true. It's like, I can't just be honest and tell people what I want.
Why not? It's sad, but it's true. You know, like it's, and like, that's why I say, like,
it seems like not that big of a deal, but it really is the fact that how honest you are.
So I think,
Emmy,
like for you,
as much as maybe
that honesty at some point
was hard to take,
I think long term,
don't you feel like
you have such trust
with your guy
because you know he's so fucking honest?
Like if he's going to tell you that,
he's going to tell you anything.
You know what I mean?
Yeah,
so much so.
Like,
it's funny.
Like,
there's definitely been a lot of challenges
that maybe other couples
haven't needed to navigate.
But it's also meant that,
like you see,
said our communication is so, so, so much better. And we've, we've had to work on things. So,
like, the open line of communication, the trust, the honesty, like, it's meant that we do,
we have grown so much closer. And there's been a lot of skills that we've, I guess, gained
throughout this process, like this learning iterative process. Well, let's get through the process.
So, you know, you're dating for the, in the beginning now. Let me ask you this, Amy. Had you been with
women before and been into, like, kink and stuff that you got into with Andy, or did
were you totally vanilla and you met Andy and he sort of introduced you to stuff?
How did it start out?
So I was definitely very kinky at heart.
Like I think even when I was a kid I probably got into porn and kink just like online
reading stuff or watching stuff very, very early.
So that was always something I wanted to seek out.
And basically all of my experiences up until that point,
Andy was probably the third person that I'd been with or third guy that I'd been with.
all of my experiences had been kinky.
That was definitely something that I wanted.
I actually really struggled to be vanilla
or like do anything that was vanilla at the start
because I think for so many years I'd expose myself
to very hardcore, intense stuff.
Like what?
It felt it was more just the porn that I was watching.
So like very extreme BDSM, a lot of impact play,
like a lot of aspects of dominant submission.
And that it just made that normal sex or normal sex acts
They didn't feel satisfying or gratifying.
Of course.
You started there.
I mean, you know, where do you go?
Yeah, and it was actually only within the relationship that I kind of learned that like aspects of intimacy and gentleness or even tantra at times.
Like that can actually be a really beautiful thing.
And it's more about like connecting with the other person.
But that took a while for me to learn.
So yeah, initially quite a bit of kink.
And I actually met Andy through Tinder purely because in his profile, he was quite
open about him being into kink and that was what attracted me and you asked about experiences with
women as well so before meeting and my very first sexual experience actually i think my first kiss was
with one of my close friends who was a woman and she and i were drunk and had made out and i think i went
down on her so that was my first sexual experience so i definitely knew that i was into women and yes kink was
definitely always on my mind especially at the start who were you guys when you met
Like, I mean, were you a sub looking for Dom and he was the one where you both switches?
Like, what was your kink setup, you know, dynamic, actually, when you guys met each other in the beginning?
Yeah, I'll answer this one.
I was 100% Dom and she was 100% submissive.
And she, like, very much made that clear that she was looking for someone who would take care of her and be nice to her and train her and teach her.
And she literally said the statement, I just want to be good for someone.
Right.
And so that was how we started.
And then I became a lot more open-minded and became sort of a little bit more switchy.
And she became a little bit more of a switch.
But I essentially had to train her to be more into Femdom because she had no idea where to start,
no idea what to do.
I didn't really have any idea either.
So I sort of took the dominant leading role in teaching her how to be the dominant one.
So it was sort of a really interesting process.
Yeah.
And that's something that we've done with.
other women that we date as well. We've taught them how to be dominant if they want to,
which I found that almost every person I've ever asked wants to try being dominant,
like even the most hardcore, submissive people. It's just that they're utterly terrified
that they have no idea what to do. They're worried about feeling silly. They go, I've never
taken the lead. I don't know how I would begin to even do that. But I found that most people,
if you're just gentle and patient with them, they want to explore that side of themselves. They're
just never thought that they were allowed to. Yeah. And was that the case for you? Andy, I mean,
you were always very much the Dom and then all of a sudden you decided to switch it up and you
became a sub, I'm assuming at some point. And like, would you, would you have ever guessed that
you would be able to be a sub and be into it? No, I would have thought I'd be the last person on
the entire planet. That's sort of like a greater, a greater journey that I've been on in my life
in general, like letting go and surrendering and not always needing to be in control. I think that I'm
someone that for most of my life, I felt like my agenda had to come true and my plan for life
had to work out and everything I wanted had to work out. Otherwise, I would feel very disappointed
in myself and I'd put a lot of pressure on myself to be perfect. And so exploring that sort of more
submissive or letting go side of myself has been almost more of like a spiritual journey or a
self-improvement journey of like, can I let go and just enjoy what's happening right now without
needing to control every bit of it. And I'm not perfect with that. It's something I'm still working on,
but it's been a lot of fun. I mean, I would love to jump in though and say that recently-ish,
Andy was being the submissive and the girl that we've been dating together for a couple of years now,
she and I were kind of like having this scene where both of us were dominating Andy, which is actually
not something where both women have been dominating Andy. It's usually he and either myself or the other girl,
will dominate whichever girl is remaining.
Yeah.
But we played around with that.
And I will say that as much as Andy just spoke about letting go and learning to be submissive,
he was the biggest rat on the planet.
That's why I said it's something I'm still working on.
Yeah, exactly.
Yes, thank you.
Yeah, he didn't make it seem like he's there yet.
I definitely heard the thing that it's still something he's working on.
So now you guys like have this open relationship right from the get-go.
It's all based around kink.
You're like having a lot of fun.
And then Emmy gets serious.
Now at that same time,
I guess Andy,
you had fallen for her too
and felt like you were cool
with getting serious with her.
Had you had other relationships,
Andy before?
Yeah.
So I'd had a four-year relationship,
a six-year relationship,
a one-year relationship.
Okay.
And yeah,
it was a really interesting point
because I remember standing,
so after we'd broken,
after she'd broken up and said,
hey,
I think I'm looking for something
a bit more serious.
committed or deeper or something like that.
I remember having this shower and I was just standing in the shower thinking really hard for
about like three hours.
I literally had a three hour shower.
What?
For real three hours?
Not exaggerating.
Literally.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Not exaggerating.
Just standing there going like,
all right.
Like this is a point in my life where I could either go on and meet other women and
have casual sex and all of that.
Like I know how to do that.
I've done that a ton.
Like I know I can go and find another I'm.
Like, that's 100% in my mind.
I know I can find someone like her.
But do I want to go and start another one year relationship and build all of that and get
to this same point?
And then what?
I break up because she's not 100% perfect again.
Like, does this cycle just sort of keep happening?
Right.
Or would I like to take a little chance right now and say, okay, maybe there are some
things that we need to work out.
Maybe we're not exactly sure how the relationship dynamic is going to be.
Maybe we don't have a 100% guarantee that.
we can make this work. But would I like to take that chance? And would she like to take that
chance? And so that's when I, you know, swallowed my pride because there was a big part of me that
said, no, never compromise. Like always do everything you want all the time. Yeah. But I sort of
swallowed my pride and said, no, I think this is, this has the foundations and the potential of a
beautiful relationship. We already add to each other's lives an incredible amount. And I think that
there's something here that might be worth building upon. I'll just reach out to her and see where
she's out. And so that's when I sent her the message and I said, I actually texted it from the shower.
I was standing in the shower. Oh my God. That's just. I don't know how my phone didn't break from the
they're waterproof now. Yeah, the waterproof now. Maybe yeah. Yeah. Yeah, but I texted her and I said,
hey, would you want to date if we only dated women together and I didn't see them outside of you? Like,
if we dated women together, would you want to do this? And she said, yeah, I would. And I said, and I
said, oh, okay, well, why the hell did we break up? And then we sort of talked it through and figured
out what to do and went from there. But yeah, that was a very big turning point for me, because I
definitely had a big amount of pride that was like, no, if someone breaks up with you, then they
should go and, you know, screw themselves. Like, why would you ever get back with? Yeah, yeah, I very much
had that ego pride. Yeah, yeah, yeah. A hundred percent ego and pride. Yeah, 100%. And I was like,
wait, do I want to just be right here and be like, no, she broke up with me, you know,
I'm going to take a stand here and she can go to hell. Or do I want to.
be happy and I decided to choose to be happy and I'm glad I did. Wait, how long after you dumped him did
come back? Like, was it that same day? It was like the next day. Yeah, I think it was like the next day.
Yeah, oh my God. All right. So it was, it was certainly surprise. Yeah, I could have, yeah, because like,
you never even considered that it would be a possibility for this guy to change. So when you said no,
you had gotten to the point where you like were like knew you had to give it up. Yeah, which was so hard at
the time. Like I was 18 at the time. I, or maybe I was 19 and I was very, very, very in love. And I think as a
first relationship, experiencing like those romantic love feelings for the first time, then having,
like, then making the decision to break up with that person. Like, I was at a point, I was only
getting to that point because I really wasn't feeling like I was getting enough, but I didn't
feel special. And at times, I really didn't feel loved. Like, it, it didn't seem like I was really,
I felt like I was just another girl in Andy's life. And he was.
seeing all of these other women as well, so that was starting to really hurt, and it only was
from that place of a lot of pain that I was able to make that decision of, like, okay, this is as much
hurt as I can take, I need to change something for my own sake, even though I am very attached,
very in love, was from that place of a lot of pain that I was able to make that decision of like,
okay, this is as much hurt as I can take, I need to change something for my own sake, even though I am
very attached, very in love, care about this person a lot.
And you know what's funny is like that like that just says that you love yourself more,
which is where you're supposed to come from, where where you should come from and where
people who have like healthy self-esteem.
That's where those people come from.
Like I was the opposite of you.
I would have just stayed and, you know, been treated like shit for hour.
You know, a lot of women wouldn't do what you did.
I give you credit at such a young age to sort of take such good care of yourself that,
you know, even though you really love this guy and he was so great, you loved yourself enough
to go out and look for someone that was going to make you feel better.
And that's the way it should be.
You know, it just shows that you are like a solid person.
Everything you just said is literally the reason why I reached back out to her.
Because I was like, holy crap, this is incredibly strong boundaries for someone at 19.
My respect and admiration for her just went through the roof because I literally realized,
oh, she's not going to be with me if it makes her unhappy.
She's not a door bat.
If we do end up, exactly.
So now if we do end up getting back together, I can trust her.
I can trust that she actually wants to be here, that she's not putting up with something
that's making her unhappy.
And I would not have reached back out to her if she hadn't had such strong boundaries.
And like you said, self-love.
Yeah, obviously.
I can trust her.
Yeah.
I mean, it took me my whole life to get to where she's at at 18, 19.
I mean, that, like I said, shows like how, you know, you have like a lot of self-esteem
and you were a very, like, healthy, solid person, which is amazing, you know,
because so many people don't have that so young, you know, which I think is great.
So now when you started then to fall for each other, now you're in the relationship, right?
And you are sleeping with women together.
That's what happened when you started again.
Like you just started to see just women together, never any guys, right?
Yeah, that's correct.
Yeah.
So what did you do?
Like, did you have like girls that were like in rotation that you had and you'd have
threasons with them or like, do, did you go on apps looking for girls?
because I know that you do have a girlfriend now that you've been seeing a girlfriend, quote, unquote, now.
I don't know what that means.
Is that like a Polly thing?
Or is it just a regular girl that you have?
Yeah.
So she would be very happy for us saying her name.
Her name is Bronwyn.
She's come on our podcast a few times.
And yeah, we've been seeing her for about two years.
She's an absolute sweetheart of a person.
But what we started out by doing was just casual sex.
So we would meet people on Tinder and Hinge, like the dating apps.
and we had a profile
where I had BDSM pictures
and I had pictures of Imi like us together
and we were just very upfront and honest
like in our bio we said we're in an open relationship
we're both into BDSM we both like to teach
you know message us if you want to and we'll take it from there
and then we would just tell people exactly what we were looking for
when they first messaged us or when we messaged them
and Imi had her own profile as well
and that was set up with pictures of her and the same thing
in her profile she said
I'm in an open relationship with this guy and message us if you'd like to explore that.
So that's sort of how we started and it was very casual sex.
And I think it was just like literally sex only because Imogen or Imy didn't want the feelings
side of thing.
I think she was just happy for it to be sex only.
But then as the years have progressed, we both wanted something a little bit deeper,
a little bit more intimate.
Not that there's anything wrong with just sex, but we've both gotten to a point where
were like, I think we want to build with someone. And it's funny, we had a goal a couple of years
ago where we said, you know, everyone that we date, it's always just casual and they will see us
for a few months. And then either they'll leave or we'll break up with them or we moved a few times
and stuff like that. And they just never, it never seems to build into something long term.
And so we sort of set the goal where we said, we'd like to see a woman for at least six months,
if not longer. And we kind of just put that out. And it wasn't much longer after that that we met
Bronwyn and yeah now we've been seeing her for like we said two years we do sometimes see other people
but not a lot like we're pretty much spending most of our time right now with just her and obviously with
each other and when you see her though is it it's still always together correct like there's still
no separate play with either one of you with her so initially it was that we were only seeing her
and the rules we'd only see women together yeah but I think as there's been
more trust that's built up. I said it's almost been two years now. Yeah. There's definitely
been a lot of trust with her as well. And I think that's in large part come from my side of
things, like me having a lot of trust with her, feeling really comfortable and safe around her.
And so I think it actually came like the first couple of times. It was more just for like
hanging out like more, I guess social sort of stuff. Yeah. Yeah. Like yes, definitely
emphasizing like the friends in the, I guess friends with benefit sort of thing where like I'd be
going on a hike with some of my other friends and I'd invite her along and Andy's not a hiking
person so he wouldn't come along. And so there was like that time I had one-on-one time with her that
Andy didn't. And after that happened a few times, I think I was going on a trip to like interstate.
And I was like, you know, Andy, since obviously we're not going to be having sex because I'm away,
you're welcome to see Brumwin on your own if you would like. And so that was really the first time
in quite a few years that we'd really explored that. And so now we're both quite comfortable with
us each, like hanging out with Brumwen or having sex with her independently. That's,
yeah, that's been, I guess, a new evolution over the last couple of years or year or so, I guess.
That's kind of interesting.
And maybe it's because you built that foundation and have a real relationship with her and you really know her.
You know, it's been two years, right?
As opposed to the other people, you're just like you said, they were typically just around for three months.
Yeah, I think it's definitely a trust thing for sure.
Like, she's a very sweet, loving, gentle person.
and I think that makes it a lot easier.
And what's her deal?
Is she like,
are you guys the only people she plays with?
Does she have a boyfriend,
a girlfriend?
Is she a single girl?
Like,
does she consider you guys her boyfriend and girlfriend?
Like,
what would she say?
We've never really put labels on it,
but we've had like a thousand conversations with her about this.
And we've made it very clear,
like, do whatever you want.
Like, see whoever you want.
Yeah.
You know,
maybe the only thing that we would ask is if you have on
protected sex. Just like let us know. You can do whatever you want. Just let us know because we don't
wear condoms with her because, you know, it's sort of just the three of us in a little bubble where we
only sleep with each other and we've all been tested and all of that. But other than that, no, like we say,
do whatever you want, but she's just never really wanted to. She's been on dating apps quite a few
times and we've asked her about that. And she just says, like, I don't know. I meet people on the
dating apps and maybe I go on a date, but I just don't really feel like sleeping with anyone else.
So she's open to, but I think she's happy.
seeing just us. She lives quite a busy, independent life anyway.
And I think she's just like casually seen like over the last two years, like maybe a couple of
people here and there and maybe had sex. But my understanding is that that's mostly, it's like on
dating apps. It's mostly vanilla. And it's not really turned into much else. Right. But are there
emotions between the three of you? Like would you call yourselves if you had to label it Polly? Like are
you guys in an emotional relationship with her too?
Yeah, for sure.
Yeah.
Yeah, we love it a bit.
She loves us a bit.
So we talk like every day.
We're all very open and honest and I guess she would say vulnerable with our feelings.
Like for sure.
So it's like you guys are her partner.
So it is like she has somebody.
So why would she then go looking, right?
I mean, she has her, you guys feel like you guys are fulfilling to her as well, right?
I think so.
Yeah.
And we ask her many times.
and she asks us the same question.
We say, are you happy seeing us?
Is there anything that you would like from us
that you're not currently getting?
Is there anything that you feel like we could give you
or do a little better?
Or is there anything you want to work on with us?
Anything you'd like us to work on?
And sometimes there's answers to those questions
and then we improve that.
Other times it's just, no, like I'm very happy seeing you guys.
Thank you for asking.
And now I'm assuming because you guys have a YouTube channel
and your faces are on it, right?
I mean that you guys are just very out and proud of like everything that you're into
and how your relationship is set up and all that kind of stuff like as far as friends
and families are concerned or no I don't know yeah but that took a years that took
years to get to that point you have no idea how terrified we both were to start putting ourselves
out there yeah how did you know because you had who like how did that happen and when did
that happen I think I started I already had a blog where I would talk about some sex stuff
and some self-improvement stuff and then I
started a YouTube channel. And so I was already putting my face out there, but I was really terrified
to do that. And then I think I invited I'my to come on a few episodes and just talk about our
relationship and give some advice to, you know, women. And she was really scared. Yeah, it's so funny,
actually, because I think when Andy had a blog, I would like insert my opinion in like a paragraph
or two. And then there was the podcast. And it's funny the jump, obviously talking after just
writing something and then the jump beyond that, which is then being on video. Like, it was actually
very confronting going from just audio where you're a bit more anonymous. Like, it's very
chill, not being on camera, but when you're on camera, there's definitely this sense of
like presenting yourself and you're very, you're very much out there. And obviously the nature
of like being online is that people like to comment on your appearance.
Yeah, just about everything. And so, yeah, it was definitely a little bit tricky at the start.
and you kind of have to like let go of the idea of people finding out.
And it was funny actually.
I made a trip back to my hometown recently.
And it was a high school friend's birthday party.
And I met up with some high school, some people that I went to high school with that I
haven't seen in about six or seven years.
And one girl who, like, I haven't spoken to since we graduated.
She was like, you know, I actually found you when your boyfriend talking about BDSM on
YouTube when she was like searching for that stuff.
I was like, oh, that's so funny.
Like there would have been a point in time where like that would have been absolutely
mortifying but it was at the point of like oh cool like you're gonna like try some stuff with your
boyfriend like did you like the video like it was kind of just like funny and there wasn't really any
like it's always a little bit like oh all right but once you get up that initial like okay like
it's not a big deal and I think a lot of that has just come down to us being like really
comfortable with what we're doing and and who we are and like similarly
So Bromwin is actually coming down to my hometown later in the year.
And that was like another jump for me because that will mean that she'll meet my dad.
And I'd invited her and then realized that I've never told my dad that I'm bisexual
or that Andy and I are in an open relationship because we're just, we're not super close.
Like we're on good enough terms.
But I had to have that whole conversation with myself of like, all right, how do I want to broach
this subject with my father?
And it's also probably going to need my older siblings.
are going to need to know and how that's all going to work.
But it's definitely at the point where I, you know, we love Bronwyn and we really like
her being in our lives.
And it felt like the right thing to do to be a bit more honest about this sort of stuff.
And yeah, there's so many people like for years, like my mum's known, my friends all
know, but there was like that extra step of like I got my dad who like maybe I'm not super
communicative with he can know as well.
So it's definitely like there is certainly a level of seriousness.
Yeah, because I was going to ask a lot of times with Polly relationships of what we're like wondering, like, what happens when Christmas comes around and birthdays and Thanksgiving, you know, like, does everyone go to the family's house? Does she stay home? How is it set up? I don't know. I always want to know those kind of details. How is it set up with you guys?
Well, it's funny because all of my family is interstate. We moved, and Andy and I moved a few years ago. And Andy's not a big Christmas guy. So he's just never felt.
the desire to come down for Christmas. He's always welcome. Yeah. And similarly, like, Bronwyn
would be welcome to be around for Christmas as well, but she's got her own family and stuff to do.
So I guess the way, where we're at the moment, I feel like close enough with Bronwyn that, like,
inviting her to meet my family's being quite a big step for me. And I kind of like invited her
before I realized what it would entail and like what that would mean about like letting everyone in
my family know. Yeah. But I guess where I'm out is that everyone's always welcome. It's just that
everyone's also got their own things going on, so it's just not really happened.
Yeah. And now what about living arrangements? You and Andy, Andy and you guys all live together, right? Does
she stay over a lot? Do you all sleep in the same bed when she does? I'm assuming, like, how does it set up that way?
So we actually, Emmy and I actually live separately. We live across the road from each other.
Yeah, we've always found that we, yeah. I like that. That's fun. Yeah. So we spend every day together.
We spend hours and hours and hours a day together.
But yeah, at the end of the evening, it means you get to say goodbye.
I love that.
Yeah, it's good for if you're ever having a little bit of relationship tension or something.
You can say, hey, I just want a little bit of space.
I'm going to go back to my place and I'll figure this out on my own.
And you're like, great.
Like, you don't have to be in each other's space all the time.
So we've just found that's what works for us.
I hate the people that think, like, everybody has to, like, live in one box.
You know, I think that that could, you know, really work for,
a certain kind of person, you know, like for me, you know, I've never been married in my whole life,
nor did I ever want to be with somebody like for like 50 years, you know, because the thought of like being
in the same house, never having a lot, you know, it's like horrified family, you know, like I can't
imagine it, you know, but that kind of set up you have is to me like is like heaven, you know,
because you do have your alone time, but you could see each other all the time. Like you're right
across the street, which I love, right? You see, like you say, you're all together, but you have
your own place. And I think a certain type of personality type, like that really works for. And,
you know, and I, I know that some people would be like, oh, what the fuck, you know, but I totally
get it. And I think that that's great. Yeah, it just gives you that extra a little bit of space.
And so, yeah, we see Bronwyn probably once every two weeks because she lives about an hour
or so drive away. And she usually comes to visit us. But we talk to her every day, like multiple
times a day. Right. And I'm sure you guys have sleepover sometimes too anyway, right? Sometimes someone
doesn't go home. Yeah, sometimes. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, interesting. But not in the same bed,
otherwise I won't sleep. Oh my gosh. That's so funny. So I mean, it just sounds like Andy,
because you had a blog and then you started your own YouTube channel. It just sounds like you're the
type of person that likes to sort of be out there talking to people. You did mention something in the
beginning of like when I'm coaching people. Like, has that always been a thing for you? Like you like to
not only like sort of like walk the walk, but also talk the walk. Like you're like to help people and
once you started this like sort of lifestyle you like to like you're now coaching people on it and
stuff is that a big part of what you do yeah now that's a big part of what i do but no that was not
always the case i was very depressed i was very suicidal when i was in my 20s and i yeah i went to prison
when i was 19 when yeah yeah i went through a whole sort of transformative journey yeah and then
got to a point where i you know so many people had helped me and been there for me and not judged me
and being just very unbelievably, unconditionally loving to me, you know, when maybe I needed it the most.
And so at some point, I was just, it felt like a natural calling to help other people.
And I think especially with, yeah, with BDSM and Kink and just relationships in general,
there's a lot of like confusion out there and people are afraid of it.
And there's all these sort of rules and expectations and things you have to do.
And it can be very overwhelming.
And it was for me too.
I wanted to try BDSM for years before I actually did.
just because I was so scared of it.
And yeah, I like to be able to just show people that kink in relationships and sex and dating can be beautiful things that add to your life and to your partner's lives.
But they don't have to be so scary and formal and perfect.
And it's okay if you're not very good at it.
You can just slowly improve a little bit at a time.
And when did you decide to be so honest about who you are and decide to just like let every girl know that you didn't want to be binogamous?
Like you said, you did have all those other relationships before Emmy, like that four-year.
relationship that one your relationship were you always as honest with them and were you always a
non-monogamous guy always oh hell no i was not honest i was the exact opposite i i don't know if you
know like what pickup artist what that means like pickup art yeah we know that guy yeah okay so i was
very into like pick up artists and i don't know if you're familiar with something called the red pill
on the internet like the manosphere yeah i've heard of all that stuff yeah and it works that shit works
works, right? I mean, you could use it. You could play the fucking game and get people like the mouse on
the wheel. It's like a cycle. It's just like psychology 101, but it's fucked up, but it works.
That's exactly. Yeah, no, that's that's 100% how I feel about it. I did that for a couple of years.
And I was like, well, I've slept with all of these women, but like none of them get to know the real me.
They're just knowing the pretend me. Yeah, it's bullshit. Yeah. And the second that I let that mask drop and
just be authentic me, I'm terrified that they're going to leave me because they weren't like
the real me.
Maybe they're only with me.
I would have never been with that guy.
Not a girl like Emmy.
You know what I mean?
No, you know, you're going to attract a certain person that's like wants to be on that
fucking crazy.
You know, it's like, it's just so dysfunctional.
But it does work and that's what's fucked up about it.
Right.
And so when did you like, was it after you came out of being suicide?
Like, you know, when did you change?
Like, because that's a big change from going to, from that guy to the guy that's being
so open and honest.
It was actually a really slow process and I think meeting so many women and having so many great
like sexual and intimate experiences with them slowly opened up my eyes.
But there is one pivotal moment that was sort of just the whole thing came crashing down.
Like the whole pickup artist game lying, all of that stuff sort of dropped away.
And it was this nice little Chinese woman that I was, Chinese girl that I was dating.
She was about like 20 years old, and I had met her by just walking up to her on the street,
and I thought she was pretty.
And I said, hey, you're really pretty.
Like, can I talk to you?
And she was so unbelievably sweet.
And we dated for about a year.
And that entire time, I was very convinced that she was trying to use me or she was trying to get something from me,
because that's what all these sort of pickup artists people had told me.
They said, women are always trying to get something from you.
And so you need to get something from them before they get something from you.
You know, use them before they use.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And so that was the mindset that I had.
And I dated her for a year.
And basically the entire time, I was paranoid.
And I was trying to figure out how she was using me and what her angle is.
Oh, my God.
I was very distrusting.
And she was the sweet.
Yeah, it just wasn't there.
That's why you could never figure it out.
Oh, my God.
Yeah.
She was just like unconditionally sweet and nice.
And we just had this casual relationship where we'd see each other about once a week,
maybe twice a week.
And she didn't ever want anything from me.
She didn't ever need anything from me.
She was just happy and loving in herself.
And we would share sex.
We would share adventures.
We went on some road trips together.
And the whole time I'm trying to figure out what her angle is and why she's trying
to use me.
And eventually it gets towards Christmas time.
And she says, hey, I'm going back to China to visit my family for Christmas.
And I'm, okay, great.
Yeah, fine.
So she leaves.
And then I get a postcard one day, which I wasn't expecting.
and I'm reading this postcard and it's from her.
I see her name on the front of it.
And I'm like,
okay,
this is it.
She's going to be like using me now.
Yeah,
yeah,
this is going to be their answer.
Yeah.
Yeah, she's going to say,
you have to give me money or you have to give me a relationship.
You have to give me commitment.
Yeah.
Yeah,
I'm not happy with you and we need to start getting serious,
something like that.
But it was just the most like carefree,
loving,
kind postcard where she basically said,
I'm having a great time in China.
I just want to let you know that I'm grateful for you.
And I really appreciate you being in my life.
And I really appreciate this year.
And I remember just holding that postcard and standing on the street and just kind of looking around.
And I was like, I'm done.
I'm done with this bullshit.
I'm done with this like distrust and this lack of honesty.
I'm done.
Like that's it.
The whole house of cards kind of came crashing down.
And it had been a long time coming.
But I was like, I'm sick of this.
I'm going to just try being honest.
And it took me a lot of practice.
It took me a long time.
I didn't just suddenly become deeply open.
And honest and vulnerable.
Right.
But that was the moment, though.
That was the switch that you needed.
That was like that that was though the pivotal moment.
But then I always say like it let's not the fucking movies.
Like you don't just tomorrow just change.
You know what I mean?
It's like I quit drinking like 20 something years ago.
And I remember the exact moment where it snapped.
But it took me years to sort of go through the change of it and sort of get everything out
of it and stuff.
You know like that's real life.
That's what it is.
But that was the moment that you remember and that girl.
How amazing was she to come and cheer.
life and show you that, you know, and just blow your whole sort of system out. I mean, she just was,
you know, she just made you see the truth because really what you were, we're living, you were just
living a lie before that. A hundred percent. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And she didn't want anything from me.
She just gave me that beautiful gift. And yeah, I'll always be grateful to her for that.
Yeah. Amazing. I do believe, though, that people come into your life, like, for a reason. Like, you're probably
ready to just be done with that fucking part of your life, you know, because.
Yeah, I was. Yeah. You know what I'm saying? It was really tiring. Yeah, obviously. And
I do believe like, you know, those mirrors in our lives are, we bring them for better or for
worse.
So I think, you know, it was a good sign for you, a sign that you were ready to be done that
she showed up in your life, this pure person that didn't want, I think, that was going to
take everything that you had learned and fucking blow it up, which is amazing.
And so, Imi, you always knew all this stuff for him in the past.
Like, when did, so when do you meet I mean, when you were like, finally, like, sort of
through your whole transition and we're just being an honest person at the, by that point.
like I mean you didn't get any of that garbage beforehand right?
I think actually we've spoken about this before that Andy was probably still at that point
where he was coming out of all of that stuff.
So it's definitely like remnants of that old side of things and kind of keeping a mask up.
Like just a small example.
Like Andy was very much when I met him, this very like stoic alpha mile that was like very
serious and yeah, very serious is probably a good way to put it.
And I think there were definitely elements of myself that were attracted to.
that because, you know, it was that very, like, dominant, masculine facade that was being put up.
And over the years, like, especially as obviously there's been a lot of love and closeness
and trust and intimacy, like, Andy's actually like a very goofy, silly boy at heart.
Like, very, very, very much so.
And I'm actually probably like a more serious person.
But that's come out in a very big way, especially like over the last four years or so.
Right.
And I think that part of, I guess, us being in the relationship has.
kind of meant Andy dropping the last little bits of all of that part of himself.
Like I think it's been throughout this relationship that like that has like almost fully
disappeared or basically has fully disappeared while I've known him.
Like we've changed a lot and it's funny actually, we've said a few times like if old
and if I was to meet old Andy now as like a potential dating prospect like would be a no.
And similarly if Andy was to meet old in me now would also be a no.
Like we've changed so fundamentally over the last, you know, six and a half, almost seven years now that it's, it's, yeah, it's night and day, really.
Yeah, but you grew together, which I think is important, and that's why you're still together.
You know, I think one of the biggest reasons why people split up as one person sort of evolves to another place in their life and the other person does it.
And unfortunately, sometimes that's why people part, right?
But you guys have grown and changed together at the same time and you're better for it, right?
So that's amazing.
So why don't you give a shout out to all your stuff and talk to people, like explain what you do on your YouTube again, what you do like in coaching people in case they want that information, give out all your stuff and then send me links and I'll put links to whatever you're talking about in the description of this episode when I air it.
Sure.
So we talk a lot about sex, dating, relationships, love, mental health, happiness, spirituality, just everything, everything to do with living a happy, a happy,
life full of abundance and joy. And I would say our channel has a lot of love in it or we try
and put a lot of love in it. We know there's a lot of people out there that are hurting and sort
of not really happy in themselves and think that they'll never have a happy, beautiful abundance-filled
life. And so we try and help people with that in whatever way we can. I don't want to plug my
coaching because it's up to people if they want to come to coaching or not. I don't want to influence
that decision. But yeah, if anybody is interested in listening to me and Imogen or Imi at times,
and sometimes even Bronwyn, the woman that we talked about, my channel is Andy Wells.
You can just come and find us on YouTube or we also have a Spotify podcast and we would love to
say hi to you.
What's your podcast?
Wait, what's your podcast?
Yeah, you mentioned the podcast.
I'm like, how do I, I know you have a podcast?
Is this the same name?
Did you change that name too?
Yeah, same name, Andy Wells.
Okay, so you changed, because you did have a YouTube.
I mean, we were just talking about this before we got on you.
Your YouTube was a different name, but you changed it to Andy Wells.
And so your podcast is also Andy Wells too.
and they could find that on any podcast app, right?
Yeah.
Okay, awesome.
And so is it all the same content?
Like you put your YouTube stuff up on your podcast, or is it different or the same?
Like, I mean, I used to do my episodes for the same thing that was on YouTube.
Is it the same thing?
It's just audio if they want to listen in their car.
Or is it different kind of content?
You have different stuff on your podcast than on your YouTube.
No, I have different stuff.
Oh, that's cool.
There's a lot of content out there.
Yeah.
All right.
Awesome.
So send me your links.
Send me some picks for my podcast.
Patreon if you can. I'm sure you have tons of them. Like I put stuff up on my Patreon. Normally I do
anonymous picks, but because you guys are out and proud, I'll just, you know, just send me some picks.
But I will put links to your YouTube channel and your podcast in the description. And I love hearing your
story. I feel like there's so much more to your story. Like we talked a lot of bigger picture stuff,
but what we talked about was like super interesting. I love the whole angle of what you guys,
uh, what we talked about here. And people could get more information on, you know, on your YouTube
channel or on your podcast. But thanks so much for calling in and telling me your guy's story and
having this conversation. It was great. I love it. I like your story. I like your transformation.
I like real life stuff. I like people that live messy lives because to me that's very real.
You know, it's like the way life's supposed to be. Yeah. And thank you for everything that you do.
I think you're putting a platform out there of non-judgmentalism and open-mindedness. And I think
you're bringing a lot more openness and love to the world. So I really appreciate you.
Yeah. And that's my, that's a part. That's a part of.
my history. You know, I, like, had the most fucked up, crazy past that I'm like, but I look back
and I'm always like, I think that's why people tell me stuff. That's why I'm so non-judgmental because
I was never a perfect person and I love my past because it made me that person and I'd way
rather be me with my flawed past and be completely non-judgmental than somebody that had like
the perfect past and is like judging everybody in their fucking glass house. You know what I'm saying?
Like so, it's all good, you know?
What were we going to say, Amy?
Yeah, absolutely. I was just going to say it's so much more beautiful to love your past and be grateful for where it's gotten to in this moment rather than to feel guilt or shame or regret about all of it.
Because it got you to this point.
And if you're happy with who you are and where you are, then you could only be at this point because of your past.
Yeah, I feel like I'm sure, Andy, you feel the same way.
Like, it's just, it's only made you exactly who you are today.
And then you could help people.
And isn't that so gratifying?
So it's like, I can't look back and regret anything.
I'm like, oh, my God, all that torture.
I took it for the team.
But now I get to like give.
back and I love doing it so it was all worth it, right? It's like that's real life to me. When
everybody has a different path, but I think it's great that you embrace yours in a positive way and
then turn it around and give back because that to me is what it's all about. And I love you,
I'mmy, that you're such a solid person at 19 and so many years later, I can't even imagine who
you are now, but people will get more information on your podcast on your YouTube channel and
you guys are great. Thanks so much for calling in. This was, I love talking to you guys.
Thank you.
Bye you guys.
Send me the pictures, okay?
You could text them to me or email them to me, okay?
Yes.
We'll get them sent through today.
Okay, awesome.
Bye you guys.
Bye.
Okay, I just want to tell you before you go that my book, it's called Strictly
Anonymous Confession, Secret Sex Lives of Total Strangers, is now available not only in
paperback and ebook, but you can pre-order the audio book.
It's still not going to be out until August 25th, but you can pre-order it.
The book is basically 17 different stories taken from my show.
I kind of picked one story from each category that I talk about on my show.
Like there's a hot wife story.
There's a cuck queen story.
There's a cuck story.
There's a gang being girl story.
Like I said, 17 stories.
And they're all told in the third person.
And they're all true.
I took the interview and rewrote it in the third person.
And I wouldn't really call it like a total erotica book.
Think like Penthouse letters.
It's more direct. It's not so over the top like erotica. I don't really like that kind of vibe, right? But these are true stories. 17 of them. They're really short chapters. Easy read. You could read, you know, one or two and then skip around. You could read the whole book. It's available in eback format, paperback format. And finally, the audiobook is available coming out August 25th. But you could pre-order it now. And if you buy my book in any format or pre-order it,
I will throw in a complimentary link to my Discord.
