Starting point is 00:00:45 We just passed how many people in suits? We didn't see a fat recruiter. Fat recruiter. Fat recruiters a bad idea. That's a bad look, dude. Fat recruiter jumping into a 10-year-old sonata. You can have exactly what I got, kid. How would you like to be divorced?
Starting point is 00:01:01 Yeah, dude, you can't be a recruiter for like a financial company and jump in a shit car. You know what's like a fat personal trainer. I know. You go, what? Some dumpy Indian just hitting on ladies all day. Dude, that's all it was it. Ellie, or not Ellie, yeah, Ellie Fitness. And then even the fuck was that.

My lady would wear this to bed. What do you mean? Like short shorts and like a big big t-shirt. That's a comfy... A comfy sleep shirt. Dude, you got a sleep shirt on.
Starting point is 00:03:24 I didn't want to do this today. You got a sleep shirt. You got me on my day off and I was like, I'm just going to dress like a fat lady. It is a crop top. Also, there's... Hold on, you're right. I don't have a sleep shirt on. I don't have one of it is.

Starting point is 00:03:52 Yeah, I do dress like... Like you're on a box of lucky charms. Like a British lesbian. I dress like a British lesbian. Yeah. But it's just what you have to do. Because I can't get away with If I dress like

Starting point is 00:04:17 There is something about like Dungeons and Dragons Or some shit Roonscape What's that Roonscape dude? It's an MMRPG What's that mean? Massive multiplayer online role playing game
Starting point is 00:04:27 And a blink one or you're such a Dude I know I just, I'm the result of like, if there's ever a billboard that's like, hey, wait Don't do this. Yeah, wait till your frontal lobe is to like develop before you get a tattoo. I got a Blink 182 tattoo. I got a RuneScape tattoo. I have a fucking Drake tattoo.
Starting point is 00:04:45 Yeah. It's like seeing a waitress with like an old piercing that's like above her eyebrow and like there's still a hole there collecting old makeup and come. That dude, that's a body. You shouldn't have got that plugged in the center of your face. This is a buy one get when you get that and you get a C-section scar at the same time. Yeah, I would get one at Spencer's gift store. You get a mulatto baby.
Starting point is 00:05:08 Nah, that was like 5.30. Yeah, no, I got to just keep track. Dude, the earlier ones, I fire off. Yeah, you know. I mean, you have to fire off a lid, I guess. Oh, man. Guys, come see Josh and I in San Diego at the American Comedy Club. ACC.
Starting point is 00:05:27 ACC on October 1st through the 3rd, October 1st, 2nd. third. Have you been to San Diego before a couple of times? Oh yeah. Yeah. I've been to San Diego like probably five times. It's beautiful. Beautiful. It's unreal. Great place to live. Yeah. I don't know anymore. I haven't been there since yeah, I don't think I've been there once post-quarantine
Starting point is 00:05:46 but I heard it's like a it's a big difference now. It's tent city now. It's fucking it's turning into like Skid Row at least the last time I went there. Because I lived out there 2013 to like 2017 when I was in the military but then I moved back out there after COVID.
Starting point is 00:06:03 I was out there for like a year. And I was in Claremont, which is like whatever right next to San Diego. And that, uh, it started getting like the tents started like spreading. Yeah, they got balls. It was like boom, boom, boom. Now all of a sudden you, there was like whole streets that you like couldn't walk down. Yeah. Or you shouldn't walk down.
Starting point is 00:06:20 It's like you give a kid an inch. And all of a sudden he's being real bad. You know what I mean? You start throwing things at mom. Mm-hmm. And these guys are just throwing shit. Yeah, they're pooping. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:29 They're pooping. They're pooping. Right in the street. Yeah, and they hauled off like a little fucking chimp. And then the cops don't do anything. So they go, all right, let's spread the ten out. I saw a dude. Let's make an army of shit throwers.
Starting point is 00:06:39 I saw a homeless dude hit another, hit a, just like a guy walking in the head with a skateboard when I was there. Oh, my God. That's a salt, brother. He ran up. They were yapping. And the guy started walking away, the guy who, and then the homeless guy went. back to his little encampment. And then he grabbed the skateboard.
Starting point is 00:07:04 And then just came over. Gouldley. Knocked him on the on the dome. Was the skateboard for him or like a fat pug he takes around for money? That's probably a good. The skateboarding pit bulls? Not pit bulls. The bulldogs.
Starting point is 00:07:17 Bulldogs love skateboard. Homeless people do get creative. I do like a, I would give homeless guy money if he was doing kickflips and shit. Yeah. That's like, because some of them are just like, they have the sign and you go, well, how lazy can you be? Remember that one guy.
Starting point is 00:07:30 that went viral because he was like the first one to tell the truth. He's like, I needed some money for weed and drugs. And everyone's like, that's hilarious, dude. You're $10. Kill yourself. But now they all try and be funny, which is like, I respect it a little bit. Yeah, you got to do some bits. But I think you got to do some bits.
Starting point is 00:07:45 You got to run your 10. Yeah, dude, you got to have your tight five. I would lie if I was homeless. I would like, even if I wasn't, I'd be like disabled veteran. Oh. Even if I wasn't a veteran. I don't think any of them were veterans. What are you going to bust my tits about stealing valor?
Starting point is 00:07:58 Yeah. I just stole a Twitter. from a 7-11 to survive. Seven-day-old shit in my pants right now. I don't care. I was in the Marines
Starting point is 00:08:07 the Army, the Navy. I was in all. I was in whatever you were in. Green Beret? Yeah. Isn't Green Beret? Is that what you did? Yeah, that's what I did too,
Starting point is 00:08:14 brother. Fought and fucking, the beach is in Normandy. It's like you're 38. Yeah. How are you had you stormed norma? Yeah, I don't want to talk about. Give me five bucks.
Starting point is 00:08:22 I don't want to talk about. It's always a fun. I noticed this about stealing Valor videos, which is the guys who were confronting the people never sound tough. If you pay attention, their voices always crack.
Starting point is 00:08:34 Some of us really wore that fucking uniform. It's never like, it's never just like, some doobilo, take that fucking shit off. It's always just, fuck you up. Some guys always like, who's your first sergeant? Who's your company commander? No, I'm being serious.
Starting point is 00:08:54 It's so true. Some of us really fucking earned that. It's that kid. Yeah. calling you out for cheating on a test telling the teacher. We had homework last class. You motherfucker. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:08 Some scam I used to get caught with it at Drexel. One of these fucking vagrants would just be walking through the, this, I forget what we'd call the center square at the university. Some small. The campus sucked. Whatever. And this girl would just walk through with a map. She got me once.
Starting point is 00:09:29 she's like I have to get to I'm looking for the golden de blooms have you seen my dad have you seen a treasure chest around around these here ports she's a pirate she's just a pirate that treks like I'm looking for me
Starting point is 00:09:45 rowboat but she would show like I just need $20 you know I need $2 to get to fucking wherever Abington yeah and she would show like a train time and she had like which is just kind of smart. It's like buy
Starting point is 00:10:00 a nice outfit, look presentable so that you're believable in your fake lies, you know, in your lies and your fake stories so that like I'll give you a couple bucks because you look put together. Yeah. You know? And you're just down in the dumps and you need a couple bucks because you lost your wallet.
Starting point is 00:10:16 But you can't go back to the same fucking place because you might run into the same guy. And the bitch did. Like three days later. I'm trying to get to Abington. Uh-uh. Now you're pissing me on. I know what you did. You did this before? You got to find another square,
Starting point is 00:10:31 another university, you little pig. Yeah. She got me now. Yeah, well, she got me once. You try to help a dams, dull in distress. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:39 You were trying to... We did go out later that night. Yeah. Yeah. One time in Brooklyn. Oh, no. True story. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:47 I stayed at Bedstye on John Nunn's couch. And John Nunn... Shut out. Shout out, I fucking love this kid. He's so talented at what he does. He does, like, set design. production and all that stuff for like tires
Starting point is 00:11:01 and everything we've ever done but he works for like Chinese films back then right so and the Chinese paying all cash and I'm fucking broke bro like I just got to New York sleeping on his shitty couch and he would come home from a set and he would just take
Starting point is 00:11:21 a hundred dollar bills out of his like fucking jeans and just like throw it on the table and I'm having dollar slice pizza every day for like six months. So I would wake up, tempted. I'm like, I could easily get away with like 200 bucks right here. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:11:36 I could steal money off my buddy. Easily, he won't know. He's not he's not counting this shit. So I was just grateful to stay there. I didn't want to fuck it up. Long story short, I get locked out. It's about 2 a.m. He's nowhere to be found. I don't know where the fuck he is.
Starting point is 00:11:53 I got to get to a bar. Do you have to get to a bar? No, no, no. Hold on. You're being real fucking chip you today. I'm sorry. You're not like this one. Another guy's in the room.
Starting point is 00:12:08 I figured it'd be the opposite. I feel you have your shit together today. I have home field advantage. It's before noon. This has everything to do with taking advantage of people. But I was like, all right, bars close. At 4 a.m., I have nowhere to sleep in New York, right? I don't know that many people.
Starting point is 00:12:28 I just got there. And I was like, I have two hours. to go to a bar and pick up a lady. So I had to go find a bar in Bushwick, sit around and try and find a conversation with a girl's white and fuck her.
Starting point is 00:12:45 Hey, hey, I did it. But yeah, having two hours ago, I got to get laid so I have a bed. Yeah. You know, that's like a fucking game sport. Yeah, it's an extreme sport. And then ending up in the worst place possible. Like, what did you do?
Starting point is 00:12:59 Right, yeah, you got, you won, but at what cost? Yeah. Now you're in the project. Have you slept with a girl, bring you home and then the kids get up and she didn't tell you she's kids? I've never actually, I don't think I've ever hooked up with a mom. Oh wow. No lady I've ever, because I was single.
Starting point is 00:13:14 When I was single, I was still like, I met my lady that I'm married to now. My wife when I was like 24. And so up until then I wasn't. Yeah, it's very Iowa. Yeah, very Iowa. I mean, she's lucky I didn't meet when I was 14. I would have bought a land of fucking plot of land from her dad. Never made it here.
Starting point is 00:13:31 Never made it here. I'd be a cop and making fun of my fucking outfit. I'd be a cop and swell in Iowa. You would. You'd be a volunteer fireman and a bartender. Yeah. It was,
Starting point is 00:13:41 no, so I met her, when I met her, I was 24, so then like, my period of, like, being on the prowl was always,
Starting point is 00:13:48 I'm also a scenario monogamous, so I've just jumped from relationship to relationship. Yeah, you think that's, on purpose? I don't know, actually.
Starting point is 00:13:55 You think it's a lack of melanin? It might be, it might be a lack of, it might be an excess of overbite as well. I kind of, I kind of just lock them in when I get them. Yeah, I like when you start drooling when you get all excited. Dude, I can't.
Starting point is 00:14:07 The water works come out. You go, you go, just suck it back in. Especially when I'm cooking. You get all fucking, you get worked up. I drew that one episode of a look at dish. That was crazy. Oh, we just made nachos. I knew.
Starting point is 00:14:20 Every time I did make something real white trash, Josh gets so excited. He shows up early. He's got the camera equipment ready to go. He doesn't eat the whole fucking day because he knows he's going to smash some some nachos. I made that sauce to that. What is that? Brother, I ain't.
Starting point is 00:14:32 it again last night. Yeah, I made some yesterday as well. What? The way I did it? Yeah, you sent the recipe. I did it. Yeah, Arboral. Arbal. Arbal salsa. Yeah, I just did it. I watched the video and I did it. Are you kidding? Why don't you send me a video or something like that? Oh, I didn't know. Chris hasn't done that. Chris talks shit. He says he cooks. He doesn't cook. Chris has never re-made anything we've done. Yeah, well, I, I one time asked you, and this is, this is, this is forever ago, but one time I asked you how to jose up my chili. And when I made chili, it's not that good. How do I fix it? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:03 And you called me. I said something really rude. I don't even remember. And then I went, well, that's the last time I ever. You're like, I think you literally went like, I don't give a fuck. No, I didn't. I think you said something along those lines. You called me at the wrong time.
Starting point is 00:15:15 Yeah, I would help you. It was bad, though. I'd help you fix a chili any day. Flat tire. Yeah, chili. Yeah, chili. Anything mainly I'm out. Add garlic powder.
Starting point is 00:15:26 Yeah. I'm like, thank you. There's a lot. There's a lot. We didn't make a chili yet. No, we have. I want you to do chili with cinnamon rolls because I think that's a weird cuisine
Starting point is 00:15:36 that people in the Midwest will live or die by. I don't like it. I don't think anyone has ever heard this before. It's a really popular thing. Do you have a friend you could call right now? Say, have you ever heard of chili? You could Google it.
Starting point is 00:15:49 It's a big, big thing. 100% a lot of people will eat. They'll dip their cinnamon roll in chili. It's like this Wisconsin, Iowa, South Dakota bullshit. It'd come up. Really, it's just... All right.
Starting point is 00:16:06 Chili and cinnamon rolls is a classic regional comfort food combination where a bowl of savory, spicy meat chilies serves alongside a sweet, warm cinnamon roll. I mean, it makes sense. That's savory and sweet. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:16 Midwestern Roots. The pairing is most popular across school lunch programs. It's so sad. This is, I'm not even... This is, I swear to I'll show you. The pairing is most popular across school lunch,
Starting point is 00:16:29 programs and local diners in states like Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, South Dakota, and Colorado. I can hear you getting fatter. School cafeterias. The tradition started growing in the mid-20th century as an economical, obviously, filling meal for students. That's why you're all built like mailboxes. Chili provided cheap protein while freshly baked or canned cinnamon rolls offered a comforting high-calorie side.
Starting point is 00:16:57 Why the combination works. Flavor balance. The sweet cream cheese are... You're drooling and you drool in there. Sweet cream cheese or sugar icing on the cinnamon roll cuts through the heat and spice of the chili. Paring sweet baked goods with savory meat stews is a long-standing culinary tradition.
Starting point is 00:17:13 Cinnamon is already a secret to a traditional ingredient in many regional chili recipes, making the flavor profile natural bridge. Very interesting. Yeah, it's a good. Take your cinnamon and get it the fuck out of my meat chilies. I swear to God, I hate it so much. Do you don't like cinnamon with...
Starting point is 00:17:28 It's so... difficult to get the right amount where you kind of get it that everybody always puts too much and I don't want to taste cinnamon in a chili. Is that like, okay, so like the cinnamon, is that used in like Indian cuisine a lot? Yeah. Yeah. It's also Moroccan. Yeah, yeah. Every time I have Indian food, I always am like, that has to be cinnamon. Yeah, it's also like nutmeg or there's another spice that's in that world and that vein that like you can't put your, you know, your finger on it, but it's enough to kind of fuck up your meal if you're not into that.
Starting point is 00:18:03 You know what I mean? It's like having a spice, a heat issue and somebody giving you spicy food. You're like, I can't eat that. Starting point is 00:21:47 Dude, I have that with basil. I'm not a fan of basil. That's crazy. I'm not a fan of basil. Like, Thai food specifically. I'll get like a dish at like a Thai place and they'll load it with basil and it just turns me completely away from it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:59 Thai basil is a whole story. They also do this thing when I go, there's this one Thai place I go to. It used to be called Happy Thai or Super Thai. And have you ever been there? Have I been the Super Thai? Yeah. No. It's just Happy Thai just.
Starting point is 00:22:14 Yeah, it sounds like a racist thing. My dad would say, yeah, what's that place of the Chinese place that we go to, Happy Thai? It doesn't make sense at all. Happy Thai. Happy Thai. The Chinese food place. It's here. It's unlike North Lamar, but we go there and they always do this thing when they'll be like,
Starting point is 00:22:29 how hot do you want it like one to yeah yeah yeah and then I'll be like one to five spicy that's like what they say and I'll be like oh I'll take like a five and then she'll be like you know she'll look at me and she'll be like it's like or like a four I do four I go four I like five spicy food but I always go four and it's always like a two she always gives me a two and I feel like it's
Starting point is 00:22:46 like that's a thing they're consciously doing right they're going well it's it's first of all to protect the the restaurant because a lot of I like spicy food I know but the odds are that you say that and you don't you return the product, you leave a bad review. Dude, I read into this.
Starting point is 00:23:03 So these type of cuisines and, you know, specifically Asian and Mexican and like South American. They give you the white guy price. They get the white guy. It's like the haircut. When you get a haircut at a black barbershop, they give me the white guy price. You got one. Yeah, you got one option.
Starting point is 00:23:20 Yeah, you got. And they give you five, it charges five extra dollars. And it's the same thing with spice levels. You get the white guy spice. It's too lower than what you requested. It's all protection. for the business. And it makes sense
Starting point is 00:23:32 because white people will be the ones that log into Yelp and give you a one-star review. Totally. It's a fat white lady. It's a fat white lady. This ruined our night out.
Starting point is 00:23:39 We went to, yeah. We saw Marty Supreme in theaters and then we went to this. I spent the whole time in the bathroom. I couldn't even watch this performance. I couldn't even indulge in Timothy Chalameh's performance. Hung out with Zach Ephron
Starting point is 00:23:52 to watch the Eagles, me and Shane. He's the fucking man. I'll tell you that right now. Yeah, we went to Chili's to watch the fucking Eagles game. And I like that. I didn't.
Starting point is 00:23:59 it first because I was it's game one I don't want to yeah you do want to watch certain games at home and if I want to go somewhere it's got he's like is there an eagles bar and I was like yeah but it's going to be mobbed he didn't tell me Zach was with him mm-hmm he was like nah we can't go there it's going to too crowded and I was like we'll be fine we'll get a table they give us a table there and then he's like we're going to chilies it's his father phil Shane and jack at I was like, what is going on here, dude? And the chilis. And the fucking TV's like the size of an iPhone stuck to the wall in the back.
Starting point is 00:24:37 You know, the volume's all scratchy. They're getting fucking pictures the whole time. Good game, though. We won. Did you watch the whole game there? Yeah. No, second half. Second half, yeah.
Starting point is 00:24:46 I told him I was like, I got to, at least I got to see that we're doing well enough. Well, you sent me the photo of Buka, your dog in the jersey. Yeah. It's so funny because you could tell she hated having it on. Dude, your eyes. She looks She looks like a gargoyle When you put something on her
Starting point is 00:25:02 She like curls up She looks like a demon She looks like Mr. Burns Yeah Yeah Yeah yeah That's dogs I've put shirts on my dog
Starting point is 00:25:09 Before too And they hate it But she knows Like she gets used to it But she usually just lays down She won't walk around in it Have you ever seen cats When they have socks
Starting point is 00:25:18 On their paws It's so funny You put socks on cats paws Dude they fucking turn into like Moon boots They start jumping They start going one time. Let me send you the pick.
Starting point is 00:25:30 You got the pick. I have the pick. You can throw it on. Yeah, yeah, yeah. She's the fucking best, dude. Dude, socks. Yeah, I also, cats, do you know, do you know what it is that it's so funny, dude?
Starting point is 00:25:45 And you know her well, so it's so adorable. You know her face. Yeah. When cats react like to catnip, what is that? I think it's just marijuana. It gives the same. No, shot. that's not. No, they get fucking high. They get
Starting point is 00:25:58 crazy at first and then they just go mellow. It's wild, though. It's just sweet. But they just like, do they, they don't, do they eat it, right? I don't know. I've only I've never had a cat, but I've seen people do it to their cat. I think they chew on it and then rolling it. I've seen. It's like fent. Yeah. Cats are
Starting point is 00:26:14 not in a nought. Yeah, they're living in a tent in San Diego. Yeah, they're hitting people in the head of skateboard. My cat used to be great. Now it just hits people skateboard. This is your cat. This is your cat. This is your cat. This is your cat on nip. Let's look at catnip, dude. My search history is nuts today.
Starting point is 00:26:32 Let's see what it does. Because there's no dog equivalent. You can give a dog a bone and they get excited, but that's about it. They don't do the shit. It's a tough aromatic perennial herb in the mint family, famous for driving about two-thirds of cats wild. Effects on cats. The active ingredient leaves and stems contain a chemical called nepotalactone.
Starting point is 00:26:58 Nepotylactone, which triggers sensory neurons in susceptible cats, induces short burst of hyperactivity, rolling, purring, drooling, or dreamy, trance-like state that usually lasts about 10 minutes. The reaction is genetic. Kittens under a few months old, and some adult cats do not react to it at all. That's so, I wish there was a dog equivalent to it. I didn't know it was in the mint family.
Starting point is 00:27:20 That's pretty fucking interesting. I would be getting, I would get my dog fucked up. That's why. Do they like it, though? That's the other question. Is it like abuse to give it to them? obviously No.
Starting point is 00:27:29 People give it to them all the time But like, do we even know If they like it Or is it just kind of like I think if your cat is like I don't know man Some cats are motherfuckers And if that like settles them in
Starting point is 00:27:40 Yeah Like an uncle that needs booze To shut the fuck up Yeah Give him a six pack dude Yeah Give the cat some nip Yeah
Starting point is 00:27:47 So he gets the fuck off your ass A bad cat Put it down You gotta put a bullet In that fucking thing Yeah I don't like a cat You hate cats
Starting point is 00:27:57 I don't hate cats. Once I meet him, I'm like, ah, I'm talking shit. That's a nice, my son-in-law, but I can't, you know when someone, you were,
Starting point is 00:28:05 we were talking earlier about the, watching a friend throw a football, and you're like, oh, I had no idea. Oh, you've never played a sport in your life. Yeah, yeah. I didn't know anything about you. I thought you were one of my boys.
Starting point is 00:28:17 I thought I knew you. It's like, and now I see limperous throw football. Yeah, horrendous. Throw it without your laces. Speaking of a friend, but, But the, when I see a buddy, like, interact with my dog.
Starting point is 00:28:32 Oh, yeah. They're just like, oh, they do it like a cat. And I'm like, that's fucked up. Like, the dog is clearly wanting love and attention. You got to get on eye level. And don't, yeah. You get down to the ground. Like, don't you want to, like, a moat to a dog?
Starting point is 00:28:46 Like, the way I act, even if some rich bitch is bringing a dog in, like, a coffee shop, I'm on that dog. Mm-hmm. I'm going to pet that dog. Mm-hmm. when you see a friend not have that same emotion, it's weird to me. I don't forget it. Is that fucking self-centered and crazy?
Starting point is 00:29:05 Probably, yes. A little bit. But it is more of like a greater question of like, how are they as a character? Yes. It's like if I don't, I can't even trust you to be nice to my dog. Right.
Starting point is 00:29:17 Or even reciprocate the thing. Yeah, any dog. Some people aren't dog people though, I guess. Yeah, I get it. But I don't know. I very, feel that way as well. I hate, because I can't stand when people are even
Starting point is 00:29:29 slightly, I don't even like when people, like, we were at the vet and my dog was excited to see the other dog that was in the thing. So Hazel was like going, I have this fat chocolate lab. It's just, oh my God, trying to like get to the other dog. And the girl, like, looked at her like that. And she had a dog. And I was like, I'll, I'll kick you in the fucking teeth, lady.
Starting point is 00:29:47 Don't look at, don't look at Hazel like that, bitch. Also, you're at a vet. You should have love for animals. Yeah. Don't you want them to meet and go, oh, look who it is. isn't like, she's not like over the top with like her energy. She was just like, oh, there's another dog here. What's going? It's also funny how excited dogs get to see other dogs.
Starting point is 00:30:03 They just always like, let's fucking go. Yeah, because they hang around us all day long. Yeah, yeah. I got to go to the dog. Dude, it's like when you go to a bar and your boys there and you just left your lady's place. Yeah. It's like, you're like, oh, Tommy. It's like seeing a dude in an Eagles jersey in like Europe. Yeah, you're like, go!
Starting point is 00:30:20 Go! Bands! You hit him with a skateboard. He's just like he's all. He's over there, like, doing the same thing. Yeah, you're just going, oh, right? It's funny when you say Go Birds is somebody on the street, and they have no idea because they don't even know they're wearing an Eagles hat.
Starting point is 00:30:37 Can they just, do what I mean? They're just wearing merch. Yeah, just wear merch. Yeah, go birds. They're like, what? Yeah, never mind. Yeah. They know you're gay.
Starting point is 00:30:46 I like the... Another thing I don't, you know what? Oh, sorry, what's up? You want to promote your show tonight? I was just going to ask you to watch football. Oh, yeah. Yeah, I have a show in San Antonio. This will come out and then the show will happen like two hours later.
Starting point is 00:30:59 Yeah, you're in San Antonio. Yeah, totally. Yeah, get to San Antonio fly in, dude. Yeah, where's the club? The laugh out loud. Laugh out loud. I just did Fort Lauderdale. I flew in.
Starting point is 00:31:09 What a mistake. I flew in for two days. Two days of, like, I literally went in Monday night, did the show Tuesday, left Wednesday morning. And it's like you might as well not have went other than the show was great, but whatever. But it was more of like when you're in a place for less than 30 hours, it just, feels fucking crazy. You feel crazy. Yeah. Especially if it sucks. Well, you just kind of like blink and you're out of there.
Starting point is 00:31:31 Yeah. Which is also it's this weird thing because unrelated to comedy just in general, it's like trying to find the perfect amount of time to like go on a vacation is impossible. Yeah, yeah. Because it's like I go home to Iowa. A week is too long. Yeah. A week I start losing my mind around day four. Yep. But anything before day four, I feel like I wasn't even there. Yeah. So you go like six days maybe, but you start getting a little itchy at day six. Everything matters in terms of destination, purpose, you know, like, where are we going?
Starting point is 00:32:01 Is it worth the extra time? Is it worth my time at all outside of stand-up? We're talking vacations and stuff. If it's Europe, taking into consideration how many hours you're going to be in an airplane, how many days you're going to take for the lag, right? That's why they say two weeks, if you're going to Europe, if you can afford that, two weeks is great. Because it takes two, three days on back ends of each to be like, all right. I don't feel like shit right now.
Starting point is 00:32:26 You know, unless you're fucking none and you're taking care of yourself and not having fun. But then that's why you even in Europe. Why are you living? Yeah. Roll around some catnip. You live once, baby.
Starting point is 00:32:38 But yeah. You fell into catnip last night. You got socks on your hands. See, last time was a good example of like, three shows, the whole course of the night, you know? I got on stage the last show at the Fat Man with like midnight. It's a long night. 1145?
Starting point is 00:32:57 It's the worst. And then you're at fucking Mitzies with the cage down, hanging out with all of comics for another hour and a half. And then you got to do a fucking gay podcast in pajamas. Yeah. After three hours of sleep. And a lady's sleep shirt. Yeah. A lady's sleep shirt.
Starting point is 00:33:13 Like comfy. Yeah. My lady calls it her big shirts. It's so funny. She puts on the, she puts on like, my lady has, they're so funny. she'll put on these like wolf shirts from Walmart that's what she sleeps in these giant I like they're like dresses yeah they're so funny too she like I gets like ironic ones which I like because she's like who cares it's only around the house and it'll just make a it'll be like a wolf howling at the moon of course and then in the front you'll see the move like the wolf like look at it's yeah she's little though she's yeah she is like a large is like a big sleep shirt for her yeah it's crazy she'll all for find like, I'll be like doing laundry and I'll find a thing and I'll think it's like a sock and I pull it apart and it's like for shirt. Yeah. I'm like, that's crazy. It doesn't make sense. Yeah, I'm a pedophile. How is she older than me? Yeah. My ladies is my first time my lady, my wife is older than me. I've never, other than her, I've never. Yeah. She's a year older than me. Milfoner, dude. I know. She's a, she's robbing a cradle. She's a year and a half. Just a year.
Starting point is 00:34:25 How old are you, 26? I'm 31. 31. It sucks. It is offensive. Frank, just calm down. I just pay us out, dude.
Starting point is 00:34:37 Your ears bleeding. It is, it is, this hat's too tight. I got to check my forehead. I'm listening. I mean, the manic energy
Starting point is 00:34:46 that exists with you before 2 p.m. I mean, it's 1 o'clock and you're like wrangled up, dude. It keeps me in shape. Did I interrupt your day by making you do this?
Starting point is 00:34:58 Yeah. You're supposed to go to the gym and like get to the tailor shop. Yeah. And instead you're just, we're going to extend it. But I got to get the dog parks. My only night off this week. I got to,
Starting point is 00:35:09 I got to get the flights taken care of. I got a lot of wedding stuff to take care of. And I've been putting it off. But you have a lady for all that. She's been taking care of all her stuff and the wedding stuff. She's been, she's been locked in, dude. I'm starting to get that.
Starting point is 00:35:24 it's your time to show up and I haven't even gotten a suit because I might have to get it tailored or fit it you know I offloaded all It's not like what we did for you Where I can go to that fucking place That's what I thought you were doing I was going to but
Starting point is 00:35:40 Apparently she got me Things set up Okay So I just got my haircut at SORC Shout out SORIC Those guys ruled Yeah they hooked Josh up with a nice A personal custom suit
Starting point is 00:35:53 Sick as hell Yeah and that was my plan To get a custom suit and I told her that and she's like, no, we are, I got you hooked up. We got a fitting at this place. So I just pushed it to like four.
Starting point is 00:36:03 Okay. We're all right. Are you, what colors are you going with for your suit? I don't know yet. Because I might take a shot. Like, the way I...
Starting point is 00:36:12 Olive drab greens? Like an olive or burgundy. Burgundy will be not bad. If I find the right color. Because I don't want a classic black, she's very eclectic and I know I haven't seen anything she's going to wear, you know,
Starting point is 00:36:26 gay shit, but I do need a classic suit, but I also, I'm not that guy. You don't want to get married like a James Bond. No. Black and white. Which I do respect, but if it's somebody else's wedding, I'd do that, but like, I kind of want to...
Starting point is 00:36:39 Yeah, I like the colors. Yeah. I like the mix and match, too. I'm a big jacket that has nothing to do with the color of the pant. You know? So most what I wear is a one-off, one-off, classic, or a certain cut. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:36:54 I can see it right now. Yeah. Fuck you, dude. You're like, I like to mix it up. You got a fucking Marine hat on. Dude, just because you call me dressing like an actual comic. This is how all your friends dress. It's just all pudding that I'm dressed like.
Starting point is 00:37:11 Yeah, it's like seeing a teacher outside of school. You not in a three piece. You're a human? That's so funny. That was wild. Just seeing him at like the Acme. Oh, yeah. You run into it.
Starting point is 00:37:25 Mr. Kruger? He's got a kid with him Like, ew Yeah, you don't sleep in a box Underneath the fucking cafeteria I live next to a I live next to our high school football coach Oh, that's horrifying
Starting point is 00:37:38 It was, it was crazy Yeah It was nuts because you All the money you spent on steak For his wife's face Is he just beating the fuck out of her in the back You're high school football coaches are Motherfucking
Starting point is 00:37:51 Oh dude Because they're going nowhere They just think they're the best 100 This dude was like actually really very good. He like ended up leaving the, I mean, you know,
Starting point is 00:38:01 you know when they're good because they're there for a year then they get the fuck out of it. Yeah, they get promoted. But he, he, uh, he wasn't. So he was actually,
Starting point is 00:38:09 uh, he became like a member of like the city council. Then he took a break from football coach. He did that. And then he like, I think he got called up to like coach at like division one school somewhere. But he was, he was like one of those dudes who was a,
Starting point is 00:38:20 because what happens with high school specifically, it's dudes who didn't play. Yeah. Then get into coaching. Of course. And because they're just like, I think school. Some schools make them.
Starting point is 00:38:28 Like if you're going to be a teacher, you have to do like an athletic thing. Yeah, yeah. That's how like soccer programs exist. I'm pretty sure. I mean, it's all Catholic high school.
Starting point is 00:38:36 It's like my baseball coach was our fucking algebra teacher. Football coaches are always like, like history teachers or the health class teachers. And you're like, you shouldn't have him teaching. Yeah, you should be a personal trainer at fucking LA Fitness fat. Yeah, dude.
Starting point is 00:38:51 She should be hitting on women illegally. Yeah. And our, but yeah, this dude, they used to do this. thing in our hometown, they would, like, teaping was like really big. We're big on like old
Starting point is 00:39:01 school traditions and like homecoming. Or teeping like trees. Like, toilet paper. Yeah, like Halloween. Like Halloween. Yeah, like Halloween type of stuff. So they would do that for homecoming. The week of homecoming was always nuts in that like great. Mischief night. Is that what you guys called it? That's what we called it. Mischief night.
Starting point is 00:39:17 So night before Halloween, you'd egg houses, you'd TP trees. Yeah. Throw rocks at fucking cars. Yes. That's our homecoming week. Yeah. We used to paddle people. That's Yeah We used to do this thing
Starting point is 00:39:31 Everybody bring a cart of eggs Just break him over Fucking Mars face Yeah dude she's walking down the aisle Like fuck you Throwing a curve ball Curves right in But we had the
Starting point is 00:39:43 We used to There was a big thing that everybody got in trouble People were paddling They used to like make paddles The week of homecoming And drive around And just like beat the shit out of people Who would be like
Starting point is 00:39:54 Dazed and confused Yes days and confused Like we did that Like for real that. And I got, dude, I got saran wrapped to a tree. When I was a freshman, when I was a freshman, what happens is like the seniors that played football, like, if you're on the football team, the seniors would like fuck with you after your homecoming game. Because we had our homecoming game on like a Thursday. Yeah. Our freshman football would have it on Thursday. And then Friday would be the varsity one.
Starting point is 00:40:19 And like, I was like walking out of the locker room. And I just got like grabbed from behind. And then they just ran me. Like three dude just picked me up. It's awesome. It took me to the parking lot tree. And then they saran wrapped me and then I was just there for like two hours. That's so awesome. I was just like stuck to a tree. My parents were like,
Starting point is 00:40:36 where's Josh? And I was just in this parking lot behind the school until my dad finally figured out where I was. Dude, it's like duct tape and a dude like three feet off the fucking floor. Dude. To a wall. Some people got even work. One of my friends,
Starting point is 00:40:51 the kid that played quarterback for us got surrender up to a tree. Then they shot frozen paint balls. I love this. It was so funny to do that But then we're like one in nine Like our football team sucks Like we like lost like every game Did you play wall ball
Starting point is 00:41:04 Growing up The suicide? I'm not sure What is the game I might have called it You throw a tennis ball against the wall And the other guy has to catch it And if you drop it
Starting point is 00:41:14 You go against the wall With your face Facing the wall And they'd whip it And you throw as hard as you can To try and peg him It's the fucking best We should bring that back

Starting point is 00:45:35 they'd punch you. People do that with bago. Baggo. Yeah, fucking. Bags. Yeah, barnhole.

Starting point is 00:48:04 they're free range. They're on the watch, they're open. That's fun. They're everywhere. Take a pick. I will. I'll take some.
Starting point is 00:48:10 They scare the shit out of me, they live under a deck. You're making salsa? You got armadillos running around. You're not sending your boys of vids, dude?
Starting point is 00:48:18 Life is good. I got Armadillo in the back yard money. That's crazy. Put on a comfy shirt and take a video of a fucking Armadilly. I think I'm drunk. Like two drinks. This is my second drink. It's the hair of the dog.
Starting point is 00:48:36 You didn't stop drinking from last night. I didn't drink that much last night. Really? No. Yeah, I guess you were banged up when I saw you. No. I think I had one drink before each show. That's not bad.
Starting point is 00:48:46 Yeah. I'm trying to reel it in. Yeah, my, I haven't I think I'm like like a punch drunk I'm too you know, you're tired I'm bopping around like a cat in a car as shit says
Starting point is 00:48:57 it's just all anxiety Yeah, yeah It's broken inside too Totally It's not just the ACLs Yeah, it's the wiring You hear me? This is a gift
Starting point is 00:49:09 From my fucked up family line Hmm Did you? Schizophrenia, bipolar disorder Yes It's all in there You have schizophrenic people in your family? Oh yes, yes
Starting point is 00:49:17 Yeah I go, no, no, no, no. I go, you blink, I'm not even here. Yeah. Yeah, I had this producer over Josh. Josh. Josh hasn't been here in 30 years, Tommy. Is it just baseball bats or not even cameras?
Starting point is 00:49:34 I'm just holding a skateboard. You're in San Diego. Welcome back to Stuff Island. My mom comes in. She's like, Chile and cinnamon rolls are ready. I'm in Kansas. I'm on house arrest for touching a kid. You're rubbing shit against a wall,
Starting point is 00:49:53 writing scripture in your own poop. That was a dude. A dude got arrested in my hometown, full bipolar disorder, schizophrenic break. That sucks. And they found him and he had, with fecal matter of scripture all over his walls.
Starting point is 00:50:08 So they walked in there's just like Corinthians 313. In his own feces? Just Chipotle flavor. Holy shit, dude. Chili cinnamon roll dump. Like the book of Leviticus. Hear thee, hear thee. I love how it makes two different things.
Starting point is 00:50:28 You're like a town crier. What the hell is here you? Extra, extra. The Honorable James McMan. I'm clearly schizophrenic. People did have schizophrenia in your family? Yeah. Who?
Starting point is 00:50:43 my great aunt and then apparently somebody else but my brother is bipolar he takes he took lithium growing up did you
Starting point is 00:50:54 so my uncle at schizophrenia and on my dad's side and I have one memory with him and it's him telling us that the he was in our
Starting point is 00:51:04 he was in our house and he like looked at me and he was like why are the paintings like this and I was like what
Starting point is 00:51:10 and then I was like five and he was like the paintings are not happy here. You have to like put these ones upstairs, those ones downstairs. Oh my gosh. And then my family did it. And then like he died a couple of years later. And so that's the old
Starting point is 00:51:23 yeah, and then they power wash the shit off his walls. It was him. You got to come help Hank and we got to we got a clean uncle Hank's shirt. It's fucking he left house. He left seven up cups. Yeah. He left for Josh. He writes on shit
Starting point is 00:51:41 in the side. This is what he's leaving it. poop poop filled just to keep eating to get fucking more ink he's dipping it in a feather he's so tired of shit just putting a feather up his asshole and just eating a cinnabon
Starting point is 00:51:56 he's got he's got writers blog because he can't shit oh dude cutting off his scripture halfway through because you're fucking you're out of domic you're just calling domino's going I need an immediate order
Starting point is 00:52:12 try to get time to go get that Thai hot. Happy tie. Happy tie. Happy tie. Five spice. Five out of five spice. Five spice. Happy tie. I got to finish his scratch.
Starting point is 00:52:22 I showed you. I showed you how I do the chopsticks and that kind of blew your mind. Yeah. Very cool. Very smart. Josh does not detach him because he's white trash. And I started immediately talking shit. He does not detach the top wooden piece where most people rip it off and then you scrape
Starting point is 00:52:38 the splinters. Yeah. And you do the two things. And then you hold them like an adult. If you leave them at, Josh leaves him attached and then puts a finger in between and then lets it go. So it's just a trap door. It's fucking brilliant.
Starting point is 00:52:51 I want it to hate on it. It's really good stuff. It's the only way I can use chops. It's good stuff, dude. I use them, it's an innovative. It's a Midwest special. That's hilarious to just kind of prong at the food and you go, yeah, you get it. God, your wife.
Starting point is 00:53:05 I lived in Japan for a year too. Oh, this is sad then, man. No, like I just always, they, what it is, is that I was buying military places, so they just have forks and knives. Because they know that that's there. Figure out how to do it. I don't think I'm athletic enough.
Starting point is 00:53:22 Yes. For John's, I'm like, yeah, you know how the Japanese are, well, actually, they're very athletic. Yeah. In baseball. They're dominating baseball. They're so good at squat. The Japs and the Dominicans are fucking.
Starting point is 00:53:33 They're very good at it. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, yeah. 100%. Yeah, the future. But no, I, I, I've tried. I mean, like, I did it like, I've learned like, I tried, like, learning, like, for two or three days.
Starting point is 00:53:44 But then I was like, why would I do this? I know how to use a fork. Because it's part of the thing. The culture. Yeah, I get it. It's also very weird to eat like fuh. With a fucking fork. Yeah, you got to experience the whole fucking thing.
Starting point is 00:54:01 Just put a bib on it and go with my face. It's an old red lobster one you keep around. It's my daddies and it was his daddy before. The one claws like worn off from just wiping old. fucking bisc off. Fat fucking retards. This chair makes a lot of noise. You know that baby?
Starting point is 00:54:26 Yeah, I, um, but yeah, schizophrenia, dude, that's like, I, that's the one that, like, I go, oh, I mean, I feel really bad. Oh, totally. Because your reality is just not reality. It also just clicks in, like for most people, I believe. Like before you're 30. Yeah, it's like late 20s.
Starting point is 00:54:41 Yeah, you'll be like a normal guy. Hey, Siri, when does schizophrenia normally kick into the, mind. The mind. Yeah, there it is. Recognizing early signs of schizophrenia by age. Jesus Christ. What if you just looked at me when it's time to wake up?
Starting point is 00:54:59 Fuck, dude. The early signs of schizophrenia can differ among people. Some might show signs subtle changes in mood, thinking, or behavior years before full onset. Even reading that's scary. While others show no signs. Oh my God, dude.
Starting point is 00:55:15 Well, I think that my In the case of, I don't know how your aunt was, but in the case of my uncle, they always knew. Like, he was always a little off. Wow. He was like a hell of an athlete, apparently, but then he was also just like really.
Starting point is 00:55:29 Yeah. Well, this is, in 2024, 73 different studies found that 13,774 people with schizophrenia, about 78.3% had a prodromal stage. Schizophrenia prodome may include changes in perception, attention, speech, and movement. Weird.
Starting point is 00:55:48 Yeah. So they start moving and like thinking? Yeah, the perception on everything's all fucking. Oh, man, this is, uh, all right, here we go. And then I'll end. Early signs of schizophrenia and teenagers. When a person develops schizophrenia before 18, it's called early onset. EOS.
Starting point is 00:56:05 Symptoms of schizophrenia during adolescence may start suddenly or curse slowly over time and include extreme, persistent but unexplained fear of certain situations or objects, changes in posture that was me at the Kanye show slow walking that's Chris extreme sensitivity to lights and sounds that's you you mole face auditory hallucinations
Starting point is 00:56:23 hearing whispering collective murmuring or loud sounds holy Christmas shutting out others in surroundings shud and shyness visual hallucinations paranoia extreme changes yeah it's all the it's all things yeah just the fact that
Starting point is 00:56:37 it's not even your fault you didn't earn it you know what I mean it's not genetically It is genetic, but like, it's just out of nowhere. You're a normal person, 28. You just go, what happened to Josh? He's acting fucking weird. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:56:50 And then you're all of a sudden gone. On the streets. Yeah, you have to be because your family can't take care of it. They don't have the money. That's literally how you get in a tent, hitting dudes with skateboards. It's like probably 80% of the homeless are people with mental issues that the family can't take care of. Then you try to cope and you use drugs and then it becomes that cycle. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:57:09 Yeah. Selling whole to try to treat your schizophrenia. You know, your wiring has everything to do with, like, how marijuana and cocaine and all these things, like, my girl said she tried Coke, like, once or twice, and it just made her go to bed. And it's like, oh, that's just. Yeah, she just probably has ADHD and it's like, yeah. Yeah, you actually need it. You actually need some type of stimulant. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:57:28 That's how I feel when I take, like, Vivance. I, like, really like Viveance because I can, like, just finally lock in. Oh, that's what my ADHD is so bad. That's what made me been, like, the L of Tetris at the Kanye concert. I took fucking, I thought there were only 10 milligrams. I took three of them. They were 30s. Oh my God.
Starting point is 00:57:43 I took 90 milligrams. Oh, my God. A Vy Vance and it hit all at once. I drank through it. And then I was just... I think the... I was doing a fucking fentoline, dude. I was looking for my dent.
Starting point is 00:57:55 Bigger, faster, stronger, man. All the things I wasn't at that moment. That, that they don't kill me. Can only make me lean harder. I can only hear out of one ear. It's a good song. I forgot he had to be... You're just talking to a shadow.
Starting point is 00:58:12 Dipping my pen in my ass. Stance on, lean. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Ironically, he's probably that crazy as well. It's probably how he writes his lyrics. Well, yeah, that's, if you ever heard, like, you know, like William Blake? Do you know who that is at all? The musician?
Starting point is 00:58:29 No, he's like a poet from like the, whatever, the romantic era of literature. But he's like a fully schizophrenic guy who just was like, it's funny because people look back at him and they're like, wow, he was like a, like a genius, like a philosopher for the time. Yeah. And it was just some guy during the industrial revolution in Britain, in Britain being like, we need to get to the trees. And everybody's like, he's existential.
Starting point is 00:58:51 It's like he was just like afraid of people. So he wanted to live in the woods. And everybody's like, no, that's like he's like a great artist. It's like, I think he's like a fully schizophrenic guy. Yeah, they just didn't have enough studies. Yeah, they were just like, dude, William Blake is like a genius. He like wants to live amongst the trees.
Starting point is 00:59:07 It's just like he's just terrified of seeing people scream at him when he walks by even though they're not there. But yeah, fun stuff. My dad took, so my dad, because my uncle's, your dad,
Starting point is 00:59:21 my dad, my dad, my dad, my papa, because my father's, because my uncle had schizophrenia, he was older than my dad.
Starting point is 00:59:28 My dad has this one story that's like nuts. My uncle was on an experimental drug for schizophrenia, like psychoactive, schizophrenia, like it was supposed to like
Starting point is 00:59:38 counteract the, the hallucinations and stuff. And my dad was home just out of the military and was like all fucked up trying to like, he was just trying to like keep his buzz going and was out of alcohol. And so he took my uncle's pills. Like his trial, his his schizophrenic trial medicine. Oh my god. My dad sat under. This is like an intervention when the kid has like a heroin addiction to take the oxies from the dying cancer patient.
Starting point is 01:00:05 Holy Christmas. So my dad took this medicine that was on like a trial for schizophrenia, hallucination. My dad took it and just sat under a tree for like two days. Holy fuck it. What did it do to him? He said it was the wide, like he came back after he came out of it. Was he, was he having hallucinations? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:00:22 It's the opposite effect? Yes, it was like he said that he came out of it and was just like, he said he's never felt the same. Like his baseline has just never felt the same. Oh yeah, that's a good excuse that. Yeah. I stole a schizophrenic trial pill once. That's why I'm a dickhead at at weddings. That's why I walk out during my son's wedding speech.
Starting point is 01:00:40 That's why I wear a hockey jersey In a funeral Did you see? I tried one of my brother's pills That's why I caught me early, babe I had a skittling. You know, yeah, did you see my dad leave the wedding early?
Starting point is 01:00:53 Were you there? I was, I did not clock it. I watched him walk back in after my speech. That is so funny. It's like what I missed. Can you say the story? Well,
Starting point is 01:01:03 which there's two stories I could tell but I don't want to tell one of them. I don't want to tell I got kicked out of the courthouse because that one's crazy. Why? It's a great story It's nuts
Starting point is 01:01:11 I talked about having sex With a transsexual by accident You can't tell a courtroom story You afraid to share too much, Josh Oh it's unreal Get your confies on and tell the fucking truth My dad My dad

Starting point is 01:02:06 and he got kicked out you got kicked out So you have to cut the part. Oh, then I'll cut back to that. Yes. But yeah, then he got, what he said was very bad. Very funny. Then he got escorted.
Starting point is 01:02:18 If I was a guest, I'm like, they had to escort him back in to like watch the ceremony. He had like a, he had like a police officer escort him to watch my marriage. And then at the, at the actual party. Yes. At the Greek restaurant.
Starting point is 01:02:34 It was very nice. Yeah. I thought everything was done very well. Thank you. Yeah. you started talking saying something very short and sweet yes and he got up and left he left
Starting point is 01:02:43 to smoke a cigarette he went to sit under a tree he didn't he took a trial I would have watched your speech but I took my brother's pill 20 years ago I took my brother's trial real his trial is a that is a Russian roulette of a fucking
