Starting point is 00:00:09 Hello everyone. Welcome back to Subpar with Colt Nost and Drew Stoltz. The 90th playing of the Masters tournament is in the books and history was made. Roy McElroy becoming just the fourth guy ever to go back to back at the Masters. What a performance by him. It was a wild weekend around Augusta National Golf Club, Slees. It was a wild one and I think after Friday night we probably didn't expect that. Or I didn't expect that, I should say. You and I were texting everyone in the golf world. Six-shot lead. Rory looked to be on also, you know, things were going pretty good. at the time, I did not think we'd get to the second nine on Sunday with eight guys within three shots of the lead. But Rory, you know, tough Saturday, great Friday, birdie six of the last seven. Scotty goes bogey free on the weekend, ends up losing by a shot, which when he goes back and looks at it, I mean, hard to believe.
Starting point is 00:01:00 That's one shot. One of those short puss goes in, but, man, he held on. He has a knack for making this thing, like making runaway victories difficult. He used to just win by eight back in his 20s, and now they get close, which is good for us in television watching, because I thought it might be a snoozer. Yeah, I'll be honest.
Starting point is 00:01:15 I thought he played his way out of it right there early on Sunday. When he made the double bogey at the fourth hole, he three-putted from six feet. I thought he was going to be in a lot of trouble there, but he battled back. I mean, he is resilient. Say what you want about him, but, I mean, the man never gives up.
Starting point is 00:01:29 We had so many guys that looked like they were going to have a chance to win. Between Cam Young, Justin Rose, Russell Henley, made a massive move there on Sunday. But in the end, Roy McRoy hit the shots he needed to, but like you said, it was far from over it. Even though he had a three-shot lead with just a couple to play there, I mean, 16, he had the huge, well, let's go back to 15, where I thought the wedge was going to go in the water. Yeah. 16, the incredible lag putt that broke 25 feet that he lagged down there to tap in range, misses the green on 17.
Starting point is 00:01:58 And yeah, it's an easy up and down on a Thursday. But when you're trying to win your second green jacket, it's a little more difficult. And then 18. I mean, it hits it nine miles right. Good thing, he hit at nine miles and not right, not eight miles right, or he would have been in a lot more trouble. Yeah, but was able to get it there in that front green side bunker and then, you know, splash it out and two putt his way to victory.
Starting point is 00:02:20 But man, it was, it never disappoints the Masters. It was so much fun to be there to be a part of the coverage, sitting in 14 Tower all week. Only 27 hours of coverage, Lease. That's all. That's all. I feel shortchanged at the end of the week. I got a question regarding 18 because Rory drove it, like he was, I think, 53rd out of 54 going into the weekend in terms of accuracy.
Starting point is 00:02:43 It was not accurate up the tee. He was blowing it in the trees. Friday, I thought he got away with a ton. It was hitting clanging trees, fairways, ended up making bird, you know, snap hook on 17, got an angle, chips it down there to the far right, holds it, you know, stuff like that. I was like, man, he escaped. He got away with a lot of stuff today. Going in, trying to close that thing out on 17.
Starting point is 00:03:02 For the first time the entire week, I saw him hit that. little like, I don't know if he teed it down or what, but he had this little low bullet. Bullet. I mean, and it went for, it went forever. Of course, he missed the green and then had to get up and down as he likes to make it interesting. But I was like, dude, I mean, I don't know how far that went, but I'm like, where that one feels like a good one if you're just trying to get one in play on eight. You just did it on 17.
Starting point is 00:03:23 Why not tee that thing down at that low bullet? Like worst case, okay, it goes in. If it chases to one of those bunkers, okay. It's probably not getting into the top part of it where the lips at any sort of issue. but he teed it up. And when the shot tracer went out there, I was like, oh, maybe it's,
Starting point is 00:03:37 maybe it glitched again. Like, roses on 13, but it was way the hell over there, and you're right, like, we've seen on hell Cabrera being jailed. It could have been,
Starting point is 00:03:44 like, it's not far-fetched for that to be an unplayable lie. You know what I mean? Catch that. Yeah, I got it. And he's, but,
Starting point is 00:03:52 I mean, he played a great shot, hit it in the bunker. I had a pretty shit lie. And I was like, this isn't the one I would want. This is an easy one to just leave, you know,
Starting point is 00:03:59 hit it in the top lip and have it roll back down. But got it done. I just don't know why I didn't go to that one that you hit on 17. So that one on 17 went 303 yards. There you go. I'll give some love to Mark Immelman, who is staying in the house with us this week here at the Masters. And all week long, he's like, I don't understand.
Starting point is 00:04:17 Like he brought this little Stinger driver out on the West Coast, and it was a weapon. Why not go back to it? Especially with it being so dry, ball running more than we normally see. Yeah, it's a great question. That's the only one I can remember him hitting all week long. It was the one on 17. It was beautiful.
Starting point is 00:04:33 And then 18, look, I don't want to get into the coverage too much. It was a rough last 10 minutes there. I know how hard it is to put on a golf broadcast with 9 million things going on. Obviously, Augusta National, things are very different there. Didn't help. Rory hit it way right. Cam hit it way left. I know people freaked out about not knowing where the ball ended up on 18.
Starting point is 00:04:55 And listen, I was sitting in our green room. watching. I was wondering the same thing. The cameraman are the best in the business. That just, that sucked that moment happened. But in the end, you got to tip your cap to Rory, man. A lot of people thought, including myself, he was going to go in and just kind of enjoy the week, be a ceremonial week for him, and he goes out there and wins the damn thing again. But Scotty Schaepler, he's got to be kicking himself a little bit. Just the putter was cold. The first two days. Saturday, he put on an absolute clinic, ball striking wise, if he makes any, he puts. He shoots 62.
Starting point is 00:05:30 And then Sunday, just once again, got off to the really good start, then makes 11 pars in a row, just couldn't get anything going. But then at the end, he fires it back up again and made it interesting. But damn, those par fives on the second nine all week, man, just, I think he's going to look back and be like, if I just play those even, you know, somewhat close to what I normally do, I run away with this thing. That's where 100%. That's where he lost it. He gave up seven shots. So he played him plus one, where he played a minus. six. That's tough. It's hard to wrap your head around. You just, you watch every single shot of
Starting point is 00:06:02 Scotty's and go back. He missed so many putts. So many. It was kind of like the Scotty of three years ago where he almost wins and he was, you know, towards the bottom of the field and strokes gained putting. And it ultimately like if the put on 17 just goes in, just that one, like we might have, we might have a playoff between Scotty and Rory. It's a, of all the tournaments where Scotty's hit it good, hasn't won. I think this is one he's going to look at like, man, like this was ripe for the take. It was sitting there for me. And he was, I think he's the first guy ever to go bogey free on the weekend at Augusta, though. Like, he played good golf, but it just could, it could have been, it was like, like I said, it was like the three years ago, like, man, what could he have shot if he just
Starting point is 00:06:39 rolls in a few of these puts? Just a few of them. Make one early and all of a sudden you start believing a little bit. Man, one shot back, it's hard to believe at the end of the week for him. That's just an awful statement, Sleece. What? I can't believe you just out. Yeah, shout out Jason Sobel. In your defense, everyone I was with said, I don't think That's that bad of a question. You just spoke to Amanda, said it could have been better. You know,
Starting point is 00:07:00 he's got a little fire in his belly right now. He's a little chippy. I don't blame him. I don't think that question was that bad, though. Could have been traced different, maybe, but it's not a awful. I think Scotty was just in the heat of the moment was probably a little frustrated
Starting point is 00:07:15 that he didn't shoot lower because, let's be honest, we all thought he could have shot much lower on that Saturday. I mean, the way he hit it was an absolute joke. And just heat of the moment. I would guess, knowing Scottie Sheffler, I wouldn't be surprised if he reached out to Jason Sobel and apologized.
Starting point is 00:07:30 Yeah, I mean, he kind of did it in a couple questions later where he says, you know, I had the mud ball and then this happened. He's like, so it could have been, I guess it wasn't that awful of a question, you know, like kind of, and then he answered another question from Jason later on. So it wasn't that big of a deal. But I mean, he's right. It could have been a lot lower. And it was still an unbelievable round.
Starting point is 00:07:47 And at the end of the week, losing by one. He referenced this in his interview to Colt, which I completely agree with. Like, he was Thursday afternoon. there was not a harder time to play that. That was when that golf course played the most difficult for the week. There was a little bit of, it wasn't like crazy win, like up to 20 like they were expecting, but it was moving around. And it was really firm and really fast.
Starting point is 00:08:09 I mean, Gary Woodland's landing balls on 15 back of the green that are almost going in the lake back there. That was the hardest it played. And I was like, man, these guys that got through that afternoon wave, like minus one, just somewhere in the mix. I was like, they're in a good spot because all the guys at the top of the leaderboard were Thursday, excuse me, Thursday morning. And then Friday wasn't like that. I mean, Rory Birdie's six of the last seven.
Starting point is 00:08:33 I don't remember seeing a grouping that made six birdies on that back nine combined. Yeah, it was a wild week. I think we all thought after Thursday this place was going to play extremely difficult. Single digits was probably going to win. I mean, 12 under par ended up winning, so it's not got out of hand or anything. But they kind of just kept the greens, I would say, consistent all week. Never let them get firmer as the week went on. but man, it was an entertaining week.
Starting point is 00:08:57 There were so many potential storylines, but in the end, Roy makes history becomes the fourth guy ever to defend his master's title. Cam Young was looking so good for so long. I mean, he's turning into just a hell of a player, man. He's going to get one soon. He's going to be one of the favorites at Aronimic for the PGA championship. Justin Rose took the lead.
Starting point is 00:09:16 I was like, oh, my God, is he finally going to do it? Dude. Three runner-up finishes. He's finally going to get it done. And it was so, I never had chance to say it out, Somebody tweeted earlier in the week a picture of Justin Rose's trophy cabinet at his house. And it's just this beautiful thing. It's got all these different sections.
Starting point is 00:09:33 And it's got U.S. Open trophy, Olympic gold medal, rider cups. And there's one empty spot. And I was like, he is just saving this for the master's trophy. 100%. And I wanted to get out there. But I thought the pitcher was awesome. And I really do think, like, right here, this is for the master's trophy. I'm going to get one.
Starting point is 00:09:52 And damn, I thought it was going to be this year. I mean, it's every single year. Someone had a great tweet, and I can't remember who it was off the top. They said, at this point, can we at least invite Justin Rose for cocktails before the dinner? That's good. It's every year. It's unbelievable. I mean, he held the lead on the second nine by himself at one point. And then, you know, what did he have? He had the bogey on 11, the bogey on 12, 12, the chili dip. The chili dip on 12, too. And then 13, beautiful second shot landed damn near and the whole, landed close the whole roll back there. He thought at worst, like, okay. This is a birdie. He's back on track. We still got 15, a lot of golf left. I would have never expected a three putt at that point. I don't know what. Like, he gives, his interviews would let you think he's, you know, I'm getting close.
Starting point is 00:10:36 I'm getting closer, but it's like, man, you got to think in the back of your mind. Like, I'm 45 right now. How many more years do I got? It's just been so many close calls and just can't get over the hump. But damn, I mean, he plays that place so well. Yeah. But you can see. I mean, obviously it got to him.
Starting point is 00:10:51 I mean, he made some golf swings that were not, seeing from Justin Rose. He got it up and down on 14. But that's just that iron shot. I mean, he like chunk hooked it, left of the green over there. Like, that's just stuff we don't see from Justin Rose. Pressure is evil, man. It does funny things to a golf swing.
Starting point is 00:11:06 But it's just so impressive how well he plays around there. And I want to give a shout out to another guy who was very zoned in this past week. And I didn't even think he was going to probably tee it up. Just talking to his team, he was in bad shape. We hadn't seen him play since he played one hole. at the players championship because of a back injury. You could see the pain he was going through just walking around Augusta National. But Colin Morcawa was zoned in.
Starting point is 00:11:33 I mean, the guy finished just tied for seven, made five birdies in a row on the second nine there on Sunday. It was just so cool to watch, shows how much this tournament means to these guys. Because I think if it was any other tournament, he probably would be like, you know what? I'm out. I'm going to go rest up and try to get healthy. But he toughed it out, led to a top ten. I just thought that was so impressive. Yeah, I mean, you could see him walking around.
Starting point is 00:11:53 that second nine Sunday. Like he was ginger picking his ball up out of the hole. And his interviews, he's like, I felt like I was swinging at 50%. I know it was much more than that, but that's the way I felt. I was personally not convinced he was going to go this way. I figured he'd give it a go in round one, but I didn't know if he could actually maintain that for four days. They monitor every shot hit on that practice facility leading up to the week.
Starting point is 00:12:16 Then they list, like, at the end of each day, most balls hit, least balls hit, longest shot, you know, longest drive, all this type of stuff. they had a specific category for Kalmorkawa. It said he's longest shot he's hit all week went 284 yards. And I was like, man, that's going to be tough to play Augusta if you can only hit it 284. And damned if he didn't go out there in top 10. Yeah. If you watched his ball speed early in the week, I mean, he was like four to five miles an hour slower than he normally is.
Starting point is 00:12:45 It's just he's obviously not 100%. I'm interested to see if he tease it up this week at the RBC Heritage. but that was some special stuff and showed a lot of heart to be able to go out there and play through that pain and end up finishing tied for 7th. The man was zoned in, and we got to give some love to our friends over at zone nicotine for all that they do. But congrats, call him work out. Also, Max Homa, he loves Augusta National. Another top 10 for him around there. It played fantastic on Sunday, as did Jake Knapp, who made a clutch.
Starting point is 00:13:17 Yeah. Par put to finish in Solo 11th. He could have missed it and finished, still booked an invitation or received an invitation for next year's masters. But at the time, it looked like that seven-footer he made was to make sure he is back in Augusta National next year. So another shout out to Homa and Jake Knapp for their great play. Yeah, a couple of local boys. I mean, that pot on 18, I was watching. I was like, you know, you said he could have missed it and ultimately still gotten back.
Starting point is 00:13:43 But in his mind, he's like, I have to have, this is to play the master. For sure, play the master's next year. I mean, he's been in unbelievable form, best of his career leading in. He was kind of one of the outside guys like, hey, who could have a chance if it's not one of the top guys debut around the joint, man. Really good showing. Sky's the limit for him. It looks, everything looks right in place for Jake Knapp right now. And good to see Max back on track.
Starting point is 00:14:08 Loves the place. Loves it. Maybe this will be a little kickstart for the rest of the season for him. Absolutely. The boys are on to the RBC Heritage. But before we get to that, I want to thank you. I thank Augustine National, CBS. This is my first ever time being on the main broadcast for the Masters.
Starting point is 00:14:24 Had an unbelievable time. We were on air for 27 hours. I was sitting in 14 Tower. My man, Justin Ray, to the right of me. Hoppy, the cameraman, to the right of him. What an experience, dude. A tournament that all of us grow up watching, and to be on that coverage was such a great crew.
Starting point is 00:14:40 It was an honor, man. It was cool. It was long hours. There was a lot going on. I messed my math up there towards the end. I thought we had five holes to play. There was four. But whatever, when you speak for 27 hours straight and you have about 9,000 coffees in you, these things happen. But man, it was so cool to be there. Saturday when we first started the CBS show, we were already on for two hours with Paramount Plus. But then when the CBS show kicked off and it's Jim Nance and we got that incredible tease and then they show the announcer's names. And I saw mine, it kind of hit me. I was like, damn, this is sick. Yeah. That's the real deal. How was that? That was the, uh, that was the, uh, that was the, uh, getting up the ladder. Any instances? I'm a goddamn jungle cat now, I mean, I just, that's what I figured. That looks like Spider-Man. That's what I figured.
Starting point is 00:15:26 Jay Ray. Jay Ray, you know, we had no falls. We were good. He made it up and down. We had to get in there on Wednesday. So five trips successful going up and down the ladder. I mean, it's the highest tower at Augusta National. It's about 40 feet in the air. It is up there. I will tell you an incredible story. We almost had a full-blown disaster on Friday. So the whole deal is I go up first in case I fall, Jay Ray can catch me. And if Jay Ray falls,
Starting point is 00:15:56 I'm not going to catch him. I don't think either of us are going to catch either one, but doesn't matter. Okay. So I have this massive thermos that they gave me that I feel with cold brew, and I just sip on it all day because it's obviously hard to go to the bathroom when you're up there. You're kind of stuck. So you just kind of
Starting point is 00:16:11 sip on coffee throughout the day to keep the energy levels and all that. But this thermos, I mean, it's big, and it's pretty damn heavy. It's got some ice in it as well. I got it sticking out of the top of my backpack. Okay. I'm going up the ladder. I get all the way to the top and there's like this green awning that comes down over and you kind of like got a duck underneath it. Well, the top of the thermos catches on the awning. I feel my backpack open and this thing fall out. Like I said, we're 40 feet in the air. And Jay Ray's might be coming up already, I'm not sure, but in my mind, slow motion. I'm like, I just killed Justin Ray. I just
Starting point is 00:16:44 fucking kill Justin Ray. This is going to hit him in the head. This is so bad. And I'm like, oh, my God, oh, my God. And Hoppy, the camera goes, oh, shit, as it's falling. And I turn around. I'm like, please just don't be on the ground. He's like, got it. No problem. Dude, caught it.
Starting point is 00:16:58 Just standing there at the bottom of the ladder. The fact he looked up at the exact moment and just caught this thing. I was like, oh, my God, that was incredible. That would have been a bad scene. Yeah. debut, attempted murder, you know, for BG. Also, by the way, golf fans, sorry, we have no more stats for the rest of our lives. We just got to make shit up now because Jay Ray,
Starting point is 00:17:19 he's not going to be there to dig him out of the dirt like he does. So, all right, shout out Jay Ray. He's more than a one-trick pony. Also, the thermos, because on the way down, it clipped the ladder. So there's a little piece of green paint on the side. So we have a piece of Augustin National forever. There you go. That's worth it.
Starting point is 00:17:36 That's worth it. Did you get a gnome? Damn right, I got a gnome. Shipped at home. Should be arriving soon. That was my one request. I am retiring. If they, rumor has it, they're finishing, they're done with the gnomes, which I'm fine with
Starting point is 00:17:50 because I am retiring from the merch shop. That thing is just absurd. I hate it. They obviously have incredible stuff, but the lines to get in this place, no, thank you. They turn a profit. I turn a tidy little profit in that bad boy. 70 shmell for the week is what I read, a million an hour. Is that it?
Starting point is 00:18:09 Good business, good business. If you can get into it. By the way, I'd tell you how to do it later on. I went in, straight in, straight out. It took me eight minutes. It's unbelievable. You want to know? I'm guessing because you were up so early.
Starting point is 00:18:23 No, it wasn't. I was up early, but we couldn't go in at that time. If you go in at like when everybody is on the golf course on Friday, like very few people have even finished Thursday Friday, you cruise in at like three something. Boom, in and out. I'm telling you, in and out, shopped, walked. The line to ship took longer than anything took.
Starting point is 00:18:44 inside the shop, and that was probably a five-minute line at shipping. Bam. It's, yeah, I think practice around days are probably the worst because it's like big dogs are everywhere. There might be on the range. It might be on the court. Like, everyone's just trying to scramble to get it done. Once they're all there on Thursday, Friday, there's fewer people.
Starting point is 00:19:00 And, you know, everybody's on the golf course because they want to see it. So there you go. Well, there you go. Now everyone's going to go in at three. The line's going to be nine miles along. Crack the code. Yeah. There you go.
Starting point is 00:19:12 All right. Speaking of turning a profit. Let's do that this week at the RBC Heritage, and we are so excited to announce our new sponsorship with our friends over at Kalshi. And before we dive into it, we want to give a quick shout out to our sponsor Kalshi, the largest prediction market in the U.S. Kauci allows you to trade and win real money on events like sports and elections. Let's make one thing clear.
Starting point is 00:19:34 Kalsi is not a sports book. On Kalsi, you are not playing against the house. You are trading head-to-head against other people. Kalshi just runs the marketplace. This makes Kauci in exchange. That means they do not. profit when you lose. The lines aren't set by them. Lines move based on where the money goes. Public opinion sets the line. Not some algorithm working against you. Calci is not regulated by
Starting point is 00:19:55 states. Instead, it is CFTC approved? Meaning is it a, it's a federally regulated exchange, and that's why it is available across the U.S. If you want to try it yourself, Calci will give you $20 when you trade $20 if you use our code subpar when you sign up. All right, Slease, one of my favorite tournaments of the season on the PGA. towards an incredible golf course. A revamped Harbentown, by the way, by Davis Love the Third. Can't wait to get there and see what he has done to this place. But it's going to be an awesome week.
Starting point is 00:20:23 It's a signature event. I believe Rory and Hedecki have elected to take the week off. Totally get it. But a guy who I think this golf course sets up perfectly for, he finished T-41. He's been playing phenomenal golf all season long. This was his only finish outside the top 20 so far in nine events this season. But give me Jacob Bridgman. to top 20.
Starting point is 00:20:45 There we go. Back to the well. Back to the well with him. We didn't start off that hot with Kalshi, I would say. But now this is where we run it back. I did take Scotty to win after Thursday at a nice little clip, but obviously came up one shot short. Yeah. Did that pay anything?
Starting point is 00:21:02 No. Does it get in, they paying out for getting close? If so. I think they should. I need to just move everything I got right on over. He should have won, so therefore I should get paid. I get close a lot. I get close a lot.
Starting point is 00:21:13 All right. back to the well with Bridgman. I'm going to go with the guy. Played a really nice round of golf on Saturday. Didn't close it as well, one over on Sunday, but he's been vocal about it. Like, that's not a place that he probably expects to play well. And that's an uphill battle for him,
Starting point is 00:21:28 getting to a place that fits him much more, you know, suits his game much more than Augustine. Give me Brian Harmon for a top 20. The dog. That's good, jeeps. Ain't nothing finer in the land than a drunk obnoxious Georgia fan. That's what they say. That's the old saying goes.
Starting point is 00:21:44 I like that. Got a question for you, another Augusta question, just because this is coming up, it feels like afterwards when he referenced it in his presser. Rory being like, I haven't played anywhere in the last two or three weeks. I feel like Augusta National is my home course, then people being like, ah, what an unfair advantage this is. He gets to fly up and play this on day trips and stuff.
Starting point is 00:22:03 I think it's, I don't know. I think it's funny because, like, anyone can do that that's in the field. You can go play that place. I don't know if there's a limit on how many times you can play it, but they'll let you go out there. Rory just happens to live somewhat close and also have a G650 at his disposal daily. Helpful.
Starting point is 00:22:19 That kind of helpful. Yeah, just drop Poppy off at school, fly up, play Augusta National, come back, have dinner. I was like,
Starting point is 00:22:26 what, I mean, yeah, obviously not everyone can do that. He's a past champion. There's perks that come with that. But yeah, you're right.
Starting point is 00:22:33 Once you get invited, once you earn your invitation to the Masters, you are allowed to go play, go to do scouting trips. And Rory took advantage of it. I mean, I can't be like, oh, no, we got to limit it to like, you get two practice rounds prior to master's week at the most.
Starting point is 00:22:51 Like that's just never going to happen. I don't understand why people are freaking out about it. Also, the golf course, yes, it's in perfect condition the month leading in, but it's still never going to play the same as it is during master's week. So I have zero problem with this. Yeah. And I mean, Nicholas even talked about how leading up to his, like he would go play, he'd play two many masters.
Starting point is 00:23:13 He'd play 72 holes, add him up, post a score. Then he'd take a little break. Then he'd do it again before. So it's kind of like, I've already played the Masters a couple times. So it's like, this has been done for a long time. Just no one's ever been vocal about, I dropped my kid off, pop on up in the bird, play, and then come home. And by the way, there's a ton of guys in Jupor that have access to the same.
Starting point is 00:23:34 You know what I mean? They got private transpos. Just become running out of there. Rory and jump on the bird with him. Yeah. Sounds like a good plan. By the way, his good buddy, Shane Lowry, was once again in contention at the master second year in a row. But Sundays have been a struggle, slees.
Starting point is 00:23:49 81 last year on Sunday, this year, 80, not going to help the handicap. Not going to help the handicap. Put it in the gin. Yip Strickler, we'll be monitoring that very closely, that USDA index. Very important. At some point, golf starts to follow you home. If you own more than golf polos than T-shirts, if you practice your swing with an umbrella, or if you find golf T's in the laundry, this is a lot.
Starting point is 00:24:10 this is a sign. It's time to get a handicap index. When golf becomes part of your daily life, a handicap index is the next step. Track your progress, compete against friends, and make every round mean more. Get a handicap index today at visit get a handicap.usga.org to get it started. Bam, that 81, that 80 piece might not count in Shane. That could be a toss out if I'm being honest. I have some friends that are, they're not, they don't feel bad typing in the 81, but the 66, that one.
Starting point is 00:24:40 one's that, uh-uh, yep, would be all over him. That one's going to stay in there for a good news. He shoots a lot of good scores every single week, so it'll probably kick out of there. Absolutely. Come on, he's got to be getting tired of just hanging around on the 72nd and waiting and giving hugs. There's a few of those guys. Jay Rose, too. God.
Starting point is 00:24:57 It's like, I'm happy for you, but, damn. Yeah. It's something like Jay Rose now has like 26 rounds at Augustine National where he's in the top five in his career. He's like the highest greens in reg percentage since what, like, you know, going, going back 18 years, things like that. Gary Williams, I were talking on like the pregame about it. I was like, I just view, there's so many guys you can name with one major championship. Tons. You can rattle them off.
Starting point is 00:25:25 I feel like Justin Rose is in a different category. Like, I view him in a different category than all those guys. And it's a shame. It's a shame that he's still kind of lumped in in that one major championship because it's just, he's been so good for so long and contended in so many. I know he'll be back next year. He'll be saying he's ready to go. But at some point, man, like the scar tissue of this place, it's just, I mean, took Rory a decade to do it.
Starting point is 00:25:48 Well, Master's Week is always special. The 90th edition, once again, did not disappoint. It was an honor to be there, honor to be on the call. Can't wait to do it again next year. But Sleeze, it is time for me to unplug. I have not stopped talking, I feel like, for a week straight. I'm going to be in Nashville playing some golf, hitting Broadway. like I said, just unplug a little bit.

Hotter than the temps were at Augusta National. And there is a reason that Odyssey has been the number one putter
