Starting point is 00:00:57 In Maryland, visit MDGamblinghelp.org. Not available in all states. Terms apply. See Fanatic Sportsbook app. Hey, Sleeves, guess what? We didn't lose. We won. Rarely do.
Starting point is 00:01:06 We won again. Three-team NFL Parlay. Chiching Hit again. What was the money line on that? Plus 400, I believe. And six plus 600 on the other one? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:01:17 That's free Christmas. By the way, Ohio State Michigan? Free Christmas for everyone. Under. Hit. Chicken? I lost mine. Yeah, Oklahoma didn't cover for you.
Starting point is 00:01:24 No, no. That was a messy game all the way around. A bunch of losers. I know. Boms. Probably in the playoffs, though. Yeah. Actually, for sure.
Starting point is 00:01:31 How about my Dallas Cowboys? I know that. You were rooting for them. I was a huge Cowboys. I was waiting for it. I was like, there's the games that the good teams find a way to win, and the bad teams find a way to lose, and then it didn't happen.
Starting point is 00:01:42 That was enormous. I think we're one loss away from them. From no Taylor Swift in the class. Nobody having to worry about the Chiefs, hopefully. I mean, I don't know exactly how that shakes out schedule-wise, but they're close. Six and six, I don't know if you heard this too. Lane Kiffin left Ole Miss. He's going to LSU, Lease.
Starting point is 00:02:00 What? Yeah. When did this happen? I mean, my God, what a spectacle that's been. the whole college sports is messed up right now is it not the fact that a coach can leave in the middle of the season 11 and 1 playoffs the best season in the history and go to a rival by the way oh i'm getting on a plane coaching staff if you're not on the plane with me you don't have a job when you get there take a bunch of them with him try to poach players meanwhile the portal opens up
Starting point is 00:02:26 players are starting to get recruited before the playoffs even start like the whole thing i don't blame him one bit for going to ls u taking 90 million to go one of the most prestigious 91 don't football programs in the country, but the way he did it was shit and the rules are shit. I mean, just, yeah, I'm with you. Like, why do we have to do it now? Why can't wait until the end of the season? I know people are going to say,
Starting point is 00:02:46 oh, we got to start recruiting, got to start getting ready and all this. And the semester starts. Your team has a chance to win the national championship that you're currently coaching, and you're just leaving, taking coaches, just leaving these poor kids out to, just hanging them out to dry. I mean, it sucks. Like, they should be focused on trying to make history right now, and they're like, we don't even know who our coaches.
Starting point is 00:03:03 Yeah, you can do this. any other sport in the world and like college sports are pro sports now. It's like LSU spending close to $200 million to get Lane Kiven there. Between what they bought out with Brian Kelly, Lane's contract, they got to pay some of his remainder at Ole Miss. Like it's pro sports. These kids are making tons of money. Like why don't we start having some contracts like pro sports?
Starting point is 00:03:22 You can't just be a perpetual free agent all the time. Like it doesn't work like that in any other business in the world. But college sports, somebody's got to come in and just clean the whole thing up. Paying is fine. But like, let's make some rules around this stuff. My favorite part was the true diehard fans that camped out at the airport all day, waiting on him to leave, and he's just screaming at him. Dude, this is why college football is the best sport in the world.
Starting point is 00:03:47 No other sport do they do that. Like Micah Parsons, Cowboys, Jerry Jones, that was a pretty big deal, right? I see people lined up around the tarmac yelling at Micah or Jerry, going to Jerry's house or anything. Dude, the passion in college football is what makes it so great. And by the way, the playoffs, like, you're going to see it. in full effect because there's going to be some big name programs thinking that they're in, thinking they should be in.
Starting point is 00:04:08 That aren't. That aren't. It's going to get messy. Longhorn's made a statement against A&M, but will it be enough? I mean, huge brand names, Texas, Notre Dame, Miami. Bamma's probably in, but we'll see. If they lose bad, they might not be. It's going to be somebody who ain't used to getting screwed over being an odd man out.
Starting point is 00:04:27 Absolutely. It's glorious. But it's a great football weekend. There's some golf as well. Skins game. back after a 17-year hiatus. I was there on the call on Amazon Prime. Man, had a freaking blast.
Starting point is 00:04:38 It was so much fun. Zander, Kegan, Tommy Fleetwood, Shane Lowry at Panther National. What a cool spot. I had always wanted to work like one of these exhibition events where they're miced up and you can talk trash to each other and get them going. This is my first one. And dude, it was so much fun. I have no idea what kind of like numbers it did rating-wise.
Starting point is 00:04:57 It had a decent crowd. It was all invite only. There's probably 2,000 people walking the fairways, like at a U.S. amateur and Zander Shaflaid just hilarious. Stole the show. He looked sharp. His talking was much better than his golfing. Justin might be able to trot out of the booth and take over here on the back nine with
Starting point is 00:05:14 the broken back. He was awesome on the mic. I feel like we're starting. We always talk about if Xander, you know, if you know him behind the scenes, like he's really funny, I feel like he's starting to kind of show that. I think the TGL stuff has helped too, just where they're more comfortable doing this stuff in front of a microphone. Good to see Keegan back too.
Starting point is 00:05:33 I think he's been wearing this rider. I'm sure he's been wearing this Rider Cup loss is like harder than any. Just beating himself up about it. Like we all care about the Rider Cup. We all love the Rider Cup. But for 99% of us, US loses like, damn, wish we would have won. We'll get him next time. And by Monday you go back to work.
Starting point is 00:05:49 Kegan's been sitting on this for a long time. Just to see him out playing golf, not having to talk about Rider Cup a ton and just kind of get to address it with you. And then just kind of putting it all to bed, I think was big for him. Not to mention a couple of Schmell. Yeah, I mean, he made $2.1 million, so he's in a pretty damn good mood. But, you know, I did a walk and talk with him early, like on the seventh hole. And I went up to him before the day. I was like, hey, like, they're pushing me to talk, like, a lot of Ryder Cup here.
Starting point is 00:06:12 Like, I just want to make sure you're cool with it. Like, I know how hard it's been on you. And he's like, dude, you're fine, absolutely. He was great. He was open. He was honest. He's like, look, it's been hard. It sucked.
Starting point is 00:06:22 But it's great to be out here playing again. Yeah. You know, I mean, Shane didn't waste any time, taking a little jab at him saying, I'm breaking your heart for months. It was good. But he was a great sport about it. And he ended up winning 11 skins of $2.1 million. So it was a pretty damn good day. Tommy Fleetwood just made another 1.7. Shane, late edition when Justin had to withdraw and made $200 grand. Better than kick in the nuts. Yeah. And Zander made less than I did. Yeah. So sweet. It costs Zander money. Next year he's going to need it to be at his home course. Did what did you think of the Sam Burns impersonation? It's beautiful. It's so good. I think we got to do it on here. before with the ABC. God, that's good. And then he called Tommy Fleetwood shot.
Starting point is 00:07:03 He's like, we've got a foreigner over here. It was awesome, man, but the whole team there, you know, Chad Mum, Ben Silverman, Jeff Newbarth, it was cool, man. It sounds like they wanted. For about Catalan. They wanted to, well, hold on. Jimmy get a little love. These are the real important people.
Starting point is 00:07:19 Oh, okay. Yeah. But they did a hell of a job, but on a great show. And it was fun. I mean, it's always fun working with Catalan. You know how I feel about him. And that was my first time working with Peter Jacobson, who was a part of the skins game when he was 30 years old.
Starting point is 00:07:31 It was his first ever broadcasting role. Like in 1984. That's when I was coming out the womb. Yeah. Been a minute. Yeah, it was a cool deal. We got the, what are we got? What's it called the golf channel games coming up?
Starting point is 00:07:42 Yeah. What are those? Yeah, we got a couple more exhibitions or whatever. Hero this week. For a gambling, man, you like money. Scotty to win is plus 160. You got to jump on that, I would think. Minus 400.
Starting point is 00:07:53 To win a golf tournament. I know there's, what, there's 18 guys? 18 or 20. I think they're supposed to be 20. there's 18 maybe. Either way, that's unbelievable. He's minus 400 to top five. He might not have touched a club.
Starting point is 00:08:05 Like, no one knows. I mean, I'm sure the people at home know, and I bet he has, but he could have just been like, I'm done golfing for a while. And just sure. One last thing about the Skins game, though, I will say, like,
Starting point is 00:08:14 with all those matches and everything that's had, I would say this was like the most chatty the players were. Would you agree with that? Yeah, it helps when you have someone that's going to, like, instigate it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:24 As opposed to just like, hey, guys, talk. Yeah. You know, like, you need somebody. I think TGL would benefit from that too, just having somebody. Like, you can just step in, like, hey, call a shot, you know? Like, just to get them going. I think you just got to rev them up. It's just hard.
Starting point is 00:08:36 Somebody needs to be the, you know, the lighter fluid on it. I don't know if it came across on air, but I know I turned my mic on, but do you remember there was a little short hole in Zander, like, drove it way up there, and he hadn't done anything all day, and he spun it off the green. Yeah, Shane hit in the water. Tommy Fleetwood made par, and Kegan made bogey, and Zander had like a six-footer to tie the hole. Everybody's just like, oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:08:59 And he made it. I was like, should I interview Zander for finishing a hole? Because you always do just the winner. Yeah. But, dude, they were great, man. We had so much fun out there. I thought the check for Zero was a nice touch also. So the night before we were talking, like, we're going to present like a big check to everybody.
Starting point is 00:09:14 And somebody's like, what if they get zero? I was like, you give them a big check with zero and it'll be great. Yeah, and then you immediately tweet it and let it go. And then Zander gave it to some kid. Yeah. A nice souvenir for him. Not too worried about Zander's financial state, but, yeah, tough to walk out of there with a zero burger on that. But all around, fun event. You got to have a nice
Starting point is 00:09:32 traditional Thanksgiving supper. Yard House. With a little Jimmy. Yeah, yard house. Some beer. I mean, little Jimmy, they actually had a Thanksgiving special at Yard House. They did a Nashville hot turkey, and it was freaking amazing. Dude, I love Yard House. Yeah. I used to go to Yard House all the time. Great, incredible French dip. It was a great place to watch a little ball. You know, there's not a ton of places open. But yeah, went there, watched Packers, Lions. Had a little turkey. Called it a day and then went to work in some cold blustery conditions on Friday morning, man, but it was, it was a lot of fun. Also got to play a newly revamped Grove 23 on Wednesday. Yeah, how's the redo?
Starting point is 00:10:07 Awesome. Yeah. They cleaned, just, it looks cleaner, made a few changes to some holes. It went from Zoisia to Remuda. Yeah, it's Permuda now. Yeah. So the ball runs. It's, it's, it's sick.
Starting point is 00:10:17 They changed a few holes around, but we played 27 holes in three hours and 55 minutes. Yeah, that's one of the best things out there. I mean, you fly and caddies are on. Fat scooters, like, you all have your own cart. They go 100 miles an hour. Shout out to my man. It's, they get it out there. Shout out to my man, Charlie Lee for hosting, played with him and his son, Brandon.
Starting point is 00:10:36 Also, just the best pro shop in the world. Yeah, I got some good stuff. It's hard to beat that place. Did you school anything? I got a couple things. Kicks? No. No.
Starting point is 00:10:44 No. They have anything weird that we haven't seen before? I mean, they have like the members only, Jordan, those are sweet, but like anything you can get. They, uh, I didn't really look a ton. They had some, definitely some cool stuff that they had this duffel bag. But I just feel weird like carrying with cash. I just feel weird carrying like a golf course. I'm not a member of that duffel bag,
Starting point is 00:11:00 but like the bag was just sick. There is that. They got a lot of stuff. There is that. It's cool. MJ tweaked it nicely. I think that pro shop does just fun. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:09 We were seriously talking like, I would say that in Augusta National or probably the two like highest grossing pro shops in the country. In terms of total sales, I mean, if you count the masters, it's Augusta by a blast. I will say this though. And I don't know if it stands true.
Starting point is 00:11:24 I'm sure it does. Cyprus. You've been in that pro shop. I mean, it's the size of a closet. It's smaller in this room. It's smaller in this room. That spot of all retail shops in the United States, everywhere, it does the most volume per square foot of retail in the United States.
Starting point is 00:11:41 I mean, Groves. That was as of like a couple years ago. Groves is pretty tiny, so it'd be interesting to see it. Yeah, it's not big. But, I mean, you think about Cyprus, like, A, most people never get to go. If they do go, they go once. And they're like, I'm buying stuff for me. And everybody, every Christmas present, every everything, like, I mean, I don't know
Starting point is 00:11:57 what the average ticket is in there, but similar at Grove. Like, you don't, you don't go there and not get something. This was as of a few years ago, but at the time, I believe, I asked what the biggest spending spree was in the pro shop. What is it? Like, 29,000. That's, like, what did you buy? That's hard to do in a golf shop.
Starting point is 00:12:15 Yeah. Unless you're buying full sets of clubs. If you're just buying merch, 29K. He bought a clock and every pair of shoes they have, I'm sure. Yeah, the clock's sweet. But it was cool. With the Js around it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:26 It was cool, man. I love that place. Good work. Do you want to win more money? I would love to win some more money. Might as well. Let's get into it. Make sure you download the Fanatic Sportsbook app.
Starting point is 00:12:35 Follow along with us. All right, let's stay hot in this NFL here. We're going to go to another money line parlay, three teamer. We're going to take the commanders over the Vikings. The Vikings are just a disaster. They got quarterback stress. People are going to say this is a Homer pick. Took them last week.
Starting point is 00:12:51 I'm going to take them again. Dallas is on a heater. Then Detroit banged up. Not looking like the Detroit. Detroit of old, and they're an underdog. I like that. We need one underdog in these parlays. And then what I think is the best team in the NFL, even though they did just lose to the Carolina Panthers, shocking.
Starting point is 00:13:08 We're going to take the Rams over our hometown Arizona Cardinals here who lose every game by three points. Every game by one possession, the most heartbreaking fashion of all time. I think at this point, where they three and nine against nine and three, it's like they're probably better off losing at this point, like for the future of the program. And my big thing, I love really good teams off of really bad weeks. Yes, you do. And they just had that in LA.
Starting point is 00:13:32 So commanders, cowboys, Rams. Yeah, that's free money. College. I am. Yeah, here we go. Conference championship games. There's some things that could throw a wrench. Yes, it could.
Starting point is 00:13:42 But I'm going to take the Georgia Bulldogs, minus two and a half against Alabama. I think they get it done. And I think it puts some stress on Alabama, whether or not they get in the playoffs. A little revenge game right there. That one's, I think Bama's in. if they get blown out, who knows. BYU is getting 13 and a half at Tech in the championship game against Texas Tech.
Starting point is 00:14:01 I almost went that way, but I'm going with the team that I've been touting the entire season. They haven't been challenged in a while. They've only had really two close games all year. Indiana Hoosiers getting five and a half. They're going with them? Ohio State.
Starting point is 00:14:15 I'm the biggest fan of that coach, Signetti, as you can possibly be. What he's done, as quickly as he's done it, with way less money than all these other things. other teams has been unbelievable. He's a dog. Plus OSC just coming off
Starting point is 00:14:30 the Michigan game. Like that's their big, you know, like stay up two weeks in a row, tough. They might kill them, but I like Indiana. All right.
Starting point is 00:14:37 There you go. So Indiana. And I'm taking Georgia. There you go. All right. You want to do a little golf pick here, Hero World Challenge?
Starting point is 00:14:43 Sure. I think you should bet Scotty Schaeffler minus 2,200 to top 10. Minus 2200 to top 10. That's the one. All right. Let me take a little gander here at it.
Starting point is 00:14:54 Yeah. I'm a hero roll challenge. Obviously, a very small field. I mean, Scott, he's down to top 20 bets. He's down to plus 140 now. I mean, it's just absolutely absurd where he's at. I'm going to go with a guy. Let's see where I want to go with this.
Starting point is 00:15:11 I'm going to go with the guy. I think he's been putting in some work still, and he's played more recently more lately than a lot of people in this field. Give me my man, Alex Noren, minus 120 to 10. top 10. Okay. It's a top 10. Yeah. I like that. I don't think he, I'm not, I don't think he's a big take time off guy. No days off. I think he stays, stays on it. Yeah. Working on not hitting it left. It does not go left. All right. I'm going to give you two here. Tell me which one you like. I'm going to go with the top five bet, which is still up there. It's hard to find, you know, a lot of plus
Starting point is 00:15:44 money here. Cam Young, who's ready to pounce, I believe, in 2026 is plus 180. And also, J.J. Spong. We've been playing some golf around here. I know he's stayed up on it. He's plus 190. Which of those do you like? I got a root for my man, JJ. Let's go J.J. Spawn plus 190.
Starting point is 00:16:00 I don't know what Cam Young's been doing. Maybe he's taking a little breather in the off season. JJ's been on it. JJ Spawn, top five, plus 190. There you have it. All right. That's our gambling for the week. Make sure you download the Fanatic Sportsbook app.
Starting point is 00:16:11 Follow along with us. Before we get to our guests, we've got to give a huge congratulations to our man, David Pooch, who just won the Australian PGA championship. Biggest win of his career. First tournament as a member of the DP World Tour. He's 1-0. Went over there, one by 2 in Australia.
Starting point is 00:16:28 Tined up this week at the Australian Open at Royal Melbourne, which is going to be sick on TV, one of the greatest golf courses in the world. But huge, congratulations to David Pooge. Super happy for him. Yeah, we've talked about, like, who could the breakout guy be on the PGA tour in 2026? If you're just talking World of Golf, I think it's David Pooge.
Starting point is 00:16:45 Yeah. Just turning 24 this week, does everything you need to do. Three wins now, but two of them on the Asian tour. now his first on the DP World Tour and also props to him for playing. He knows he needs World Golf ranking points. He knows he needs these opportunities like he'll have next week and he's going and doing it.
Starting point is 00:17:00 So I would love to see him go do it again next week and play his way into the Masters. Yeah, winner of the Australian Open. Get you in. And it's going to be a special one. Roll Melbourne. He's a beast, man. I covered the Asia Pacific AM down there.
Starting point is 00:17:12 That plays. It's my number one bucket list course. And I saw they just announced Kingston Heath will be the host in 2026, which I played when I was over there. And it's one of my favorite golf courses ever played. So just have a stretch on there where they play
Starting point is 00:17:22 all those in the woods at the sand belt or whatever. Yeah, and you could just stay at the same place and drive 10 minutes to each of them. Bees all time. It's cool. All right, let's get to our very special guest this week.
Starting point is 00:17:33 This man's got a lot of ideas. The brain is never off. Always thinking of stuff. But the great Gary McCord joins us on subpar. All right, it is time to welcome back one of our favorite recurring guests here on the program.
Starting point is 00:17:46 A man who's much smarter than he looks. Thank God for that. Not, thank God for that. Mastermind behind the All Exempt Tour. It's been used across the world on tours for over 40 years, and he's got a new philosophy, a new theory on where golf could go in this age of change that we're in right now. Gary McCord, the great, dressed very nicely.
Starting point is 00:18:06 Yeah, how about this? Wow, I'll barely recognize you. Levi's. You look like a magician. Shoes from Amazon. I get everything. You look great. Yeah, the black goes good with the blue.
Starting point is 00:18:15 So what are we going to talk about today? What are you been doing, dude? It's been a minute since we had you. How was Vail? Any weirdness? Fails fantastic. Moose. Chaste a bear in a golf cart.
Starting point is 00:18:29 Good. You chased a bear in a golf cart. Yeah, with Foldon Fred next to me. So I'm 77. He's 75. Doesn't know where he is most of the time. And the bear came right in front of the 18th green. So I had to shoe it off because all the –
Starting point is 00:18:41 So we shoot it off. And I went in the trees where the cart path was. And I followed in there and then went, what the hell am I doing? Yeah. What are you doing? Well, what's the end game? When he went in.
Starting point is 00:18:51 Fall down Fred was on that side. So if we're going to get mauled, it's going to get Fred. But he'd pass up, Freddie. There's no meat on it. No, there's just a big bone. Not that you're a full meal either. Yeah. By the way.
Starting point is 00:19:03 And moose, giant moose on the golf course. I mean, this thing looked like it had been on steroids for about three years. Oh, I ran. I usually kind of go in full of something. I saw this thing and I went the other way and just hid. He was gin. Do you? ginormous.
Starting point is 00:19:19 Do you know, Brian, Illinois? at all? He's a member of the rock? Sure. Have you, do you follow him on like Instagram or anything?
Starting point is 00:19:24 No, no. So he's, I guess there's like 29 like rare exotic animals that like hunters they try that in their lifetime
Starting point is 00:19:31 try to get all 29. Yeah. This fucker's gotten like 23 of them so far but he's documents at all. He has a whole camera crew with him and everything. The shit they do is insane.
Starting point is 00:19:39 How about that ranch? Oh, God. Oh. Oh. It's more like a ranch. It's more of like a small state. It's Disneyland for semi-old kids.
Starting point is 00:19:50 Yeah. Like, you're going to a duck cutting? I'm like, yeah, his staff goes out there and holds the dubs and here, shoot it. Yeah, it's nice. They grab a deer, hold a deer, and shut it. Don't hit me. If you miss, they just ring it snagging. Yeah, you got it.
Starting point is 00:20:00 I'm a hurry hunter. But you should look at his Instagram shit. I mean, this stuff is wild. Oh, no, that's a wild place. I picture you and Vail going up through the mountains stalking. He does some weird stuff up there on the Doom Buggies, you and Freddie. Just boy, any Sasquatch sighting, anything else that we need to be aware of? Any saskwaches?
Starting point is 00:20:18 I went up there. looking, calling and banging on trees with a three feet. How do you call a Sasquatch? Exactly. What? It's about what I thought. Like that? And then you take a big stick and you hit it on the tree three times and just see if
Starting point is 00:20:36 anybody's around and wants to bang back at you. And if they did, I would run like a little girl. I need a video of this so bad. It's so beautiful. You got to ask fall down. And you're not even on any drugs. You're just doing this normal. I'm up there.
Starting point is 00:20:48 That's what's beautiful. Fall down Fred. I said, stop. And we're in the middle of nowhere up there, 12,000 feet and an ATV. And I go, stop. This looks like they could be around. So I get it and I start whooping. And Fred, as you know, doesn't say a word.
Starting point is 00:21:04 He just, he sits there and watches me. And I said, hold on a second. And I go and I bang the crap out of the tree trying to, you know, three, you break the stick most of the time. It's. But no luck. They didn't show themselves? Not yet.
Starting point is 00:21:17 Keep going. Not yet. So two's not enough. You got to hit the tree three times. Three times. And then they triangulate because they know where you are at that point. No one's ever really seen one. I don't know that this is the way to talk to them.
Starting point is 00:21:30 No, everybody. You're kidding. These things are so there. It's unbelievable. Let's save all the crap you watch on television. Of all of it. If one percent of it's right, what are they? 99%.
Starting point is 00:21:44 Okay, let's say it's fake, which some of those pictures it can't be just because of the proportions are totally different in that Mohammedid. So anyway, don't get me just. Yeah, we got abort this quick. You know what I've been doing? Before we go down a deep hole. This is up here stuff, okay? Yeah, feed me.
Starting point is 00:22:02 Listen to this. So, you know, you try to study as we all play professionally and you try to get to that level. Well, why don't we take this, the stuff that the CIA, and all these people have been using for years and years and years. and I've been really studying and actually taking some test in it is remote viewing
Starting point is 00:22:22 Okay, have you heard of it? So the Russians had it before we did. They were using it for like 10 years. And then we started a program called Stargate, which, and I've watched these guys do it. If you watch this stuff, yesterday I'm watching it. It's got Bob Martin Gale.
Starting point is 00:22:41 And they had him on this show and these scientists put up this thing. You can't possibly do it. sent this guy in London out and remote viewers, like, I will take your eyes and see what you're seeing. Oh. Okay. So that's what they use them in all these secret places where they're hiding tanks or airplanes and hangars and the stuff, and they go in there. So this guy goes in.
Starting point is 00:23:07 He goes out in London, and he's looking over the river. It's got to be the towns. and looking over the river. And this guy's in the studio in a show. Okay? You don't know this guy's doing it, but set it up, go out there and do it. So he sits there and he writes.
Starting point is 00:23:23 He's thinking, thinking, you've got to relax your mind. You got to think positive and wait for things to come in because you can't control it. It just kind of comes in. And he starts sketching. They start sketching. They take the sketch. They get him in a car and they go out where the guy is.
Starting point is 00:23:40 He sketches things that's got these things like this and there's a flat thing on it like a bridge and he said there's something like water or something. There it is. And I mean, it's identical to the drawing. And this guy does it a lot. The government's employed him. Anyway, how about if you could remote view the guy you're playing with who's got a two-shot lead?
Starting point is 00:24:05 Okay? And you get into his head and you see what he's seeing. And then you give him a little, a little deep. toward his head where, you know, might go sideways. Just saying, remote viewing. You think Jack, Jack had those capabilities? Jack and Tiger may have figured it out. The stuff we've seen.
Starting point is 00:24:24 This is why when you ask McGor, like, hey, what do you've been up to? Yeah. You just down, you end up right here at remote, remote viewing. You ever done any, no, looking to say. No, I'm tempted to ask you about the age of disclosure documentary, but that's like a whole, that's a whole season of a podcast, I think. It's a government cover up for 80 years. So anyway, we all know.
Starting point is 00:24:43 they're up there. What are they there for? We don't know. We're talking about UAPs, UFOs. Anyway. Extremely fascinating, though. It's extremely fascinating. Never a dull moment. Yeah. No. It's lacked.
Starting point is 00:24:57 It's beautiful. I don't know where I'm getting this because I'm tired right now. I've been running all day. You've been through the ringer. Become a wingman at foldsofhonor.org slash wingman. Now back to Gary McCord. Well, let's get to, yeah, what we're here to talk about. Future golf, your new idea.
Starting point is 00:26:13 Look, I mean, a lot of people know Sleeves mentioned at the start, but I mean, you were the mastermind behind the all-exempt tour back in the day. So. And now golf is in an interesting place, obviously. Things are constantly changing. I mean, this year, 100 people kept their card. It's getting harder and harder to get on the PGA tour. And you have come up with a new system. And it seems to be some people are rather interesting.
Starting point is 00:26:37 in it. So, I mean, let's go back over real quick, the history of it in case they don't understand. PGA Tour was run by the PGA of America until 1968, and the tour players want to go on their own. They form the ATP Association of Tournament Players. That lasted, and there were top 60 guys involved with that. And I think there's, like, 220 guys outside of that. And we were all Monday morning rapids qualifiers. It was a Bedouin experience. getting your buick and you go to the next spot it's the only spot try to play good if not done it up so that went on and on until about 82 and i was sitting there derail and with a couple of our buddies i'm sitting and i'm qualifying i'm looking at the board i don't know how many
Starting point is 00:27:22 cuts or qualifiers i miss the road i'm looking and i went wow miller barber done january how many how many terms of these guys won that are here qualifying so i went home had a week off went home got in golf golf world at that time and just started going through and looking. There was 54 tournament winners on Monday at Doreal trying to get in. We won 54 tournaments. And Miller Barber. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:27:48 And I went, this whole thing is whack. Football, football salary, everybody's salary. Football is 1,750 paid salaried players. Baseball is right around 750. Basketball is 450. Anyway, you know, we got 60. And no one's making any money. I mean, it's just ridiculous.
Starting point is 00:28:08 So the idea was, I'm going to go and I'm going to see if I can run that thing up to from 60 to 125. So I went home for about five weeks and just started plowing through the stuff, came up with an idea. Next tournament I went to was in Tallahassee. It was a secondary event that time called a secondary event. And all the rabbits were there. We're just trying to play. We're trying to get in one.
Starting point is 00:28:34 So I went and talked to the manager of the holiday inn, and he gave me the ballroom for nothing. And then I started tapping guys on the pudding grain, putting up signs. I had somebody at the hotel there and make me a bunch of, I could plaster them all over the walls and said,
Starting point is 00:28:54 a new tour idea, come and talk, blah, blah, blah. And 105 guys showed up with no free beer or anything, which you know it was impossible. You know, a donut and a free beer. they're all there. Anyway, 105 guys, I went up. I said, okay, guys, there's a deal. I've investigated this stuff. I'm going to throw it to you. I want you guys be the devil's advocate and just hammering me of stuff that you don't like or like. And I said, at the end,
Starting point is 00:29:18 when we're done, if I've got 51% of you guys saying yes, I will take it to, at that point, it was Mike Crosswhite, who was a relation between the players and the tour and the tour office in Pontevedre. And I took it to Mike, and I said, Mike, here's the deal. blah, blah, these guys all want to take a look and see if you guys, the tour, would consider this. And the way I tried to do it was like a labor union. Because as you know, if anything's handed down from the tour down, no, whatever it is. No, I don't want to do that. But if the players get behind it and try to push it, then you got a shot.
Starting point is 00:29:58 So anyway, did it. Three days later, I got a call from Beeman. Oh, Christ. here we go. He goes, I need you in Pontevedere, and I went, oh, I'm going to catch hell. You know, bad boy, bad boy. So I get there, and
Starting point is 00:30:13 he goes, and he was agreeable to it, which I thought was amazing. And he said, in fact, he said, we've been trying to do this for about 10 years now. Joe Di was the first commissioner. Okay? Joe Di hated qualifying. He said, it doesn't work in a sport.
Starting point is 00:30:29 And Dean really hated it. They tried it a couple times to hand something down it didn't work. But Dean goes, you can do this. He goes, and he showed me another thing in the vault that was called Project Gemini. That's basically what I've done. I took that idea and just worked it into this scheme. So if it works, so it was a double tour deal, the whole deal, Project Gemini.
Starting point is 00:30:56 So anyway, he made me get up at Houston in front of all the players. The big boys were there. and I was scared of death about this tour. And then somebody from the tour office tried the Gemini project. And they voted down the Gemini and voted me in. So the all-exempt tour came. I wasn't on the board. I wasn't part of the process.
Starting point is 00:31:20 I was just an idiot trying to make a living, right? So in that regard, you can get things done. In fact, I'm pretty sure you can get more things done from the outside in than you can from the top down. Just my opinion. So anyway, came fruition. I got voted on the policy board like I needed that, right? I can't get a four iron airborne.
Starting point is 00:31:41 I want to go hit balls. And I'm in meetings, reading stuff I don't understand or anything. Anyway, I got a very good education from Dean Beeman, who was fantastic and learned a lot about the business because that was in the influential years in 83 when we started marketing programs. We got the vans out there with the PTs in them. We got, we're trying, we're just starting to build. TPCs and build those with the partner would be a developer, all the stuff the marketing to create revenue streams.
Starting point is 00:32:12 So that's going along, that's going along, and here we are. And it started, I was, Adam, Adam Shupac called me up and he goes, Gary, it's about a month ago. Gary, what do you think? You did the all-exempt tour. They're cutting everything back now to 100. they're cutting the spots from from Corn Ferry
Starting point is 00:32:34 they're cutting the spots coming over from DP World what do you think's going on? I went blah blah blah blah blah blah blah lives short and fast and small and they're going to try to get short, fast and small our tour. Okay so then he goes just before we go he goes Gary what do you think SSG and what's going on
Starting point is 00:32:54 and this was not off the record but we were done with what he wanted And I said, well, I said, Adam, I think if you take a look at it, and I'm putting on my chief inspector Cluzello head, that I think these guys, they put a billion point five in with an umbrella of another billion point five. And that's three billion they're exposed for. How are you going to do that on the profit side of golf? Now, golf is a 501C6, okay, which is a, which is a, um,
Starting point is 00:33:29 It's tax exempt. So, what are they? Some more T-shirts? Some are golf ball? You know, that $3 billion is a lot if you're looking at that. And then to get an ROI on it, try to build it from there. What? And I, you know, and Adam goes, yeah, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:33:48 I said, Adam, what does SSG do? Strategic Sports Group? What do they do for living? They own stuff. Big stuff. That makes money. big stuff. All of major franchises have a lot of sports,
Starting point is 00:34:03 from the Mets to the Falcons, to the Williams sisters, have got the golf club is another one in L.A. that's their SSG. Anyway, how are they going to get it? I said, I don't know. I said, what do they do for a living? They built franchises.
Starting point is 00:34:21 What if they're thinking to have taken 46 events on the tour and franchising them? tour runs it it's a tour is SSG Brian Rolap who I heard is a really good guy and very smart from people I'm talking to now with this
Starting point is 00:34:37 and what if what if they do that what if they Brian Rolap was under Goodell this next guy we we're going to turn in the NFL but they're going to try to do
Starting point is 00:34:54 it's too obvious So I went okay. And that was it. I think they were new franchises. And then, that was four weeks ago, about a week after that, somebody's interviewing Rory over in Europe, and they ask him the same question.
Starting point is 00:35:10 It says, gee, blah, blah, blah, blah, what do you think? And he goes, I don't know, trying to keep the game where it's, you know, traditions, and then we've got to come up with new revenue streams. Then he goes, has anybody been reading this stuff Gary McCourt's talking about? I'm reading the article, because I read all that. stuff. I kind of, what? Wait a minute. Roy just mentioned my name. He said, I don't understand it.
Starting point is 00:35:34 I can't wrap my head around it, but it sounds very interesting. And I went, oh, oh, we've got to go a a little farther and just suggesting maybe they're going to do that. So at that point, that was four weeks ago. Got my boys, the watchers, eight guys, and all buried in all sorts of different avenues of the game around sport. The guys, I would go to ask questions and they would give me answers and then would build what we thought would work. And I just took, didn't come up with him. His crap was already there.
Starting point is 00:36:10 Came up with Project Gemini that Beeman showed me in his vault in 1982. I took the NFL and I said, we're going to try to do that. golf is the only sport that's linear and has no divisions in it. None. Wait a minute. All sports have divisions. You break off and you've got a sport in two divisions. NFL is NFL, or it's the AFC, NFC, NFC, baseball, National League of American,
Starting point is 00:36:47 and then they win their division and then they play for a big prize. World Series, Super Bowl. of Stanley Cup, National Basketball Champion. We don't have that. We've got the FedEx Cup, which that's working really good at the year. What's his 15th year? They still can't figure out a format, right? It just, anyway, if they're going to make changes, dude, go, let's go.
Starting point is 00:37:15 Let's. So the idea was trying to make this simple. And the fact is, now, again, guys, these are just suggestions. This is a template suggestion. So what we're trying to do is let's take the franchises and let's create two leagues. Jack Nicholas League and Tiger Woods League, okay? Now, how many events would you put in if you split the tour in half? Tour is shrinking.
Starting point is 00:37:44 How do you make addition into subtraction? Well, if you do it through this, you just get two leagues. So they're looking at a number like 14 that all the good players would just about have to play in most of them, right? So I put 18 in because people remember because it's 18 holes. Okay. Simple. Just 18 holes. So you got 18 events in the Jack Nicholas League and you've got 18 in the Tiger Woods League.
Starting point is 00:38:17 So we're going to run 110-man fields with 70-man cuts So all of a sudden There's only 36 tournaments here Okay And then you've got five majors I threw the players championship in as a major So these guys off the money list
Starting point is 00:38:35 Will will use either world ranking points or the money list To get in those So that's 36 plus five So we've got 41 Gary The tour wants to get get rid of four so they can stop right or they start the tour right after February the 8th and Super Bowl is done. Well, we cut we cut five out. Okay, there you go tour. There you go. Right there
Starting point is 00:39:01 there. We'll start then and go. So and also the guy, you know, a hundred man fields and 50 guys are playing for 20 million and the other guys are playing for seven million and they're trying to get that makes no sense to me whatsoever. I understand why they're doing it. I understand why they're doing. on it. But it just, there's so many, you guys know, there's so many good players.
Starting point is 00:39:22 You've got to give these guys a chance to play, to make a living, to, we're trying to take these guys and build them into stars and find personalities and do all that stuff.
Starting point is 00:39:35 And you're not going to do it with that many guys who are kind of, all those guys are kind of regurgitated. They've been on the tour and staying on the tour and they're there. I want to bring these guys in
Starting point is 00:39:44 that a lot of these guys are getting from, Europe, you know, Markov, Benj and those guys guys are really good, really good. So we took the tour from 100 guys, 110 on this side, 110 on that side. We took it to 220, okay, with less tournaments. That works. Yeah, that works pretty good. Starting point is 00:41:25 Okay. Are these like divisions? Are they playing at the same time? Like am I, if I'm on Tiger and you're on Jack, are we playing the same time a year? How does that work? That's how the tours. Here guys go do it. And that's going to be up to when you.
Starting point is 00:41:41 And again, this is why this is really vague because. Our tour, the contracts run out in 2009, okay? So at that point, right now we've got ABC, NBC, CBS, okay? ABC's out. So it's basically us, Fox, and us.
Starting point is 00:41:56 Your company. I won't go there. Please don't. It'll be CBS and Golf Channel and you know, are they going to, and NBC, are they going to be around? Or is it going to be Amazon,
Starting point is 00:42:11 Apple, YouTube, and Netflix. I got a pretty good idea. It's going to be the latter. Okay. Anyway, we're going to see who's going to bid on this stuff coming to 2009. So you don't really know. I don't know what they're going to have of their venues. CBS got the football. They've got basketball. They got all that. They've got to fit this stuff in. Other networks might have stuff to fit in. So that's something the tour is going to do. That's their job. So I can't tell you right now. It's impossible to look into a deal. But the idea is we're going to have a lot more networks bidding for less tournaments. Rice fees. And we're going to have platforms. Okay? We're going to have platforms with Netflix.
Starting point is 00:43:01 Those guys are going to want content. That's they're dying. I'm talking right now. I'm talking right. Both of them I talk to today. I'm talking to Netflix and I'm talking to Amazon. I got boys that are friends that are running that. And I gave them this thing today, article that came out on the other thing. And they're very interested. They're very interested in this whole process. So let's go back over it. Okay?
Starting point is 00:43:26 Yeah. We've got, we're going to have a draft. There we go. Yeah, let's get to the franchises, how they work. Who's on them? We got a draft. Okay. And that draft is you can go by the money list.
Starting point is 00:43:38 But you got, I would suggest, again, here we go again. I'm just going to suggest you got 18 tournaments. You would take five franchises from each league, Nicholas and Tigers League. They meet on January the 2nd, flip a corn and they go, okay, who do you got? I got Rory. Okay, we got Rory. Okay, we're taking Scotty. Okay, blah, blah, blah. Now you start doing this. When you're building, it's not off right down the money list. You're trying to build, you're trying to build a business. And you're trying to, you're trying to take this business and elevate it and become innovative with it. So I might grab guys with personalities.
Starting point is 00:44:17 Grab you two guys along the way. You know? 1010 guys, I want to build this thing. I want people to watch. I want a couple of different camera angles. I want different things. When you say you, like you say I'm drafted. So is this the tournament is drafting the players?
Starting point is 00:44:35 Yes. The tournament is drafting the players for the league. The tournament is the franchise. So we're at the WM. The Phoenix Open WM. Yes. Drafts a dude. So they would be in Tigers League or they would be in Jack's League.
Starting point is 00:44:45 And they're going to get together and try to draft players for their league that they think would enhance their league more than what these guys are drafting. Now, the other way you could do this. And again, this is a template. If you draft and you go, geez, I miss Rory. Well, the next year you could flip. You could take Nicholas, all the players that they've done. drafted and you could run them over to Tiger. Tiger's League would go there. So every other year you would get, I would like to have it as competition. I want you guys to draft. They'll be,
Starting point is 00:45:22 you can have trades. I want to be like the NFL. Trades. You know, this guy could help us. And he hits it a long way. We've got, we've got eight tournaments here that you've got to hit bombs. It sounds like, though, where the players wouldn't have really any say of where they play. The players, could play where they want in those 18 events. They can play where they want. And then get to the majors. And then they can go to Europe and for 10 more and get it to 33 or 30. I'm just saying if they're in the Tiger League,
Starting point is 00:45:51 but Scott, like the Byron Nelson, just use an example, is in Jack's League. Yeah. But Tigers, Scotty Sheffler is in Tigers. Okay.
Starting point is 00:45:59 So now he can't go play. Good question. Yeah, you can. So I'm Scottie Schaeffler. I live in Dallas. Dallas is in Tigers League. Okay.
Starting point is 00:46:10 I can get an exemption, which obviously he would. I don't know how many exemptions that they would get. He would come and play in the other league, but the money wouldn't count on his money list on that league. So you've got to give up something, okay, if you're going to cross over. You have to be living in that town within 100 miles of that town in that town for five years. Okay. And then you can ask for an exemption.
Starting point is 00:46:35 But the money that you win in that opposite league won't count against yours. And you only got 18 events. Don't want to skip. You don't want to skip it. And that's what we, as you guys know, that's what we need, we need to, for these guys to play as much as you can because it's shorter. I agree with that. That's what we've kind of done with this.
Starting point is 00:46:56 Now, also, if, let's say, Rory in his league, I can't play. I got to, well, you got your own franchise and you're building a business, you can do what you want. and I don't know you know how much he got in India to play in the Indian Open it's not against these guys going bro, right, let's talk. Here, here's what we're going to give you, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, okay? We do it on the tour now. We've done on the tour forever.
Starting point is 00:47:23 You come and do a clinic from the tournament, and they give you $300,000 or $2 million, and then you play and you're done, okay? It's not against the rules. DP World Tour does it all the time to get those guys. So we're just, now, if you own a lot of, franchise is it's in the free marketplace, dudes, go get them, do anything you want to build equity in your franchise. And the competition within the franchise will cause great innovation in our game.
Starting point is 00:47:53 And all these different tournaments are going to be different. They're not going to be cookie cutters because my tournament, I got a lot of ideas on my tournament what I will do with it. And the guy's next to me, you're probably smarter and got more money. All these franchises are going to end up in the big cities. Okay. So that's another way to take Liv. Lives, I know I got a guy deep in that thing, and they're right now trying to get, they're trying to get tournaments in the cities. I got a call from one of the watchers that said a guy wants to talk to you, CAA, it's been employed, as you guys know, by Liv. They're going to the major cities, and this guy is looking, looking for franchises, and they want to talk to me. What? I said, no, no, and I got to talk to you.
Starting point is 00:48:36 But so there's, if you get enough good information, you can kind of build something around that information to counter what they're trying to do and try to realize where you're going on where they're going. So it's the season long, you got the 18, 18, right? And they're playing over here, they're playing over here. At the end, get to the Super Bowl type finale. Like, is this a team competition?
Starting point is 00:48:58 Is there, what's the individual slash team composition element? They asked me the other day, and Brayle did. And that night, Brindle, came over for dinner and his wife Bailey and we had a Thanksgiving deal and we got a little drunk we got a little drunk over certain badly and I woke up at four in the morning and I asked same question I got to come up with with our Super Bowl okay so I said I said and I went into the rock and I asked a couple of guys said you like this idea and the idea was simply 18 tournaments at the end of the year,
Starting point is 00:49:37 the last tournament we would have would be 12 guys from this side, Ryder Cup, 12 guys from this side, they would play in a they would play in a match play, sudden death, winner take all. 12 matches?
Starting point is 00:49:56 12 matches. One day or one? Probably take two days, yeah. Okay. And if you lose, you're out. No money. Okay. The winner,
Starting point is 00:50:03 gets no money, but he gets it's called Golf's Golden Cup. Golf's Golden Cup. And something like a World Series. And it's basically $10 million solid gold trophy. And if you win it and your league,
Starting point is 00:50:27 if it's Tiger, Tiger would be on the top as a caricature with going like that, And if Jack, you won in Jack's leg, he'd be in the top of the trophy with that. And you just make this iconic trophy out of solid gold. Okay? If gold goes up, sell it. We'll give you a 10 one as a replacement.
Starting point is 00:50:47 But something like that because, and I talked to a big firm in New York, a marketing firm that deals a lot with golf, the head guy, was the rock the other day. And I had it, come here. Dada, da, da, da. And he says, that's good. that's good you got a prize you got you got real drama because a lot of these guys are going to not make any money in this tournament's only going to be two days and i would do it be fun so question again again guys spitball it yeah that was four in the morning when i woke out
Starting point is 00:51:21 had to go the bathroom so the brain really works yeah that really works good so you're a franchise guy you're the wm phoenix open yeah who is the model they're the model yeah but obviously so you can make your purse whatever you want no Now, if I was doing it, now, again, I know this sounds like I'm just flaking off on all this stuff, but again, that's the tour. Okay. If I was going to do it, your tournaments would have to be between 10 and 12 million. I don't want anybody going to 25.
Starting point is 00:51:49 I don't want anybody at 6. Here, there are the parameters right there, 10 to 12. So these, they're all kind of even, okay, and because they're going to be world ranking points and there's going to be a money list, FedEx Cup. I still understand the points. I don't say any of that. So we're trying to make this like all of the sports and make it simple for people to go, okay,
Starting point is 00:52:12 the Corn Ferry Tour, they got 35 events. That's going to be the qualifying school. So after first year, 110 in East League, we'll cut it to 90, okay? 20 guys lose their card. That tour, 20 guys, that's 40. Top 40 guys from Corn Ferry. Come on down.
Starting point is 00:52:31 Boom. these guys go back to the corn ferry and do that. Simple. None of this other crap. None of this, two from there, eight from there, whatever. Okay. Question. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:52:40 So the Valero, Texas Open drops Rory Macquarie. Yeah. Roy's just, I don't want to play the Vlaro, Texas Open. Is that allowed? Like, how rich are those Texas boys? Yeah. You know what? Actually, no, they draft to me, but that doesn't work out for me.
Starting point is 00:52:58 Yeah. Yeah. He doesn't have to. Yeah. It's his franchise. Yeah, you want to do things that benefit your franchise. If you say, hey, you draft me about I want to play your event. It's kind of like, piss on your franchise.
Starting point is 00:53:10 Scottie could do that. Okay, we haven't got, as you guys know, we haven't got too many needle movers. No. Those are the two, okay? And probably Rory is more than needle mover right now because Scotty's one of the best golfers I've ever seen, but he's Byron Nelson. You know, he's a family guy. He wants to stay home in Texas. this, he's a man of God. I mean, they're identical in essence. And that Rory's, you know,
Starting point is 00:53:36 Rory's that there. He's got, he's got a little golf quotient going. I call it golf quotient, the ability to play and the ability to get on TMZ once in a while. And we really had it with Tiger because he could really play and he was all over TMZ. Okay. So there's your golf quotient, and that's how I look at it. So that's why I think the split, and we can go from, we can have 220 guys. come on down guys you don't if this thing and i talked to him on the putting green the other day if this system was enacted next year we wouldn't have we wouldn't have Andrew noback we wouldn't have j jay spond we wouldn't have ben griffin they'd be out there somewhere playing in east jesus so there's guys as you know there are big players everywhere
Starting point is 00:54:25 give them a chance don't shut them out and close the door or let's let them in and let's, you know, get this thing going or our base again. The pyramid is upside down. It was pointing a tiger the whole time. You've got to take that pyramid. You've got to go like that where your base gets bigger and allow players in and not exclude them from playing. I will say, like, listening to what Brian Rolap just said recently,
Starting point is 00:54:51 he's like, look, the middle class of the PJ Tour matters. It's not all about our stars. And, I mean, that's. You can't, you can't build a business on, one guy. He can't build on Tiger. It was fantastic when we had him. But when he's gone, what do you got? You got, you've got to build. Now you've got to build more stars. You don't, you don't put the guides that have been there forever and put them in a little group and go go play and see if we can build something. They've already built their deal. Got to get these guys.
Starting point is 00:55:21 come on, over here, you know, get over here, play. See how you against these guys. And even, none of this elevated tournaments they're playing for 20 and the guys in a league are playing for seven or eight where are you guys doing. It's the only sport in the world
Starting point is 00:55:37 where you can be in the same league and not be on a level playing field. If you were good at football last year, you don't start the NFL season with four wins. Like you got to go do it again. That's my biggest issue with the way things are going.
Starting point is 00:55:48 They're not even on this level playing. I expect these guys that are outside to work their way in. Like you're making it, there's no turnover. Now, if you were going to do it and it was 120-man field, and you had these signature events
Starting point is 00:55:58 and there was 120 and there was ways to get into it. Then it's different. Then you have a different story. 50? I mean, it's. And then we took a look at the other thing. We took a look at television, okay, just so we were talking before.
Starting point is 00:56:10 How does television, you know, work better? Well, Pontevedre's, you know, built of, what is it, 10 acre, five acre? A lot. PGA tour production, huge. They want to take over production. You know what we're going to do? We're going to do that.
Starting point is 00:56:25 They will produce all of the galls. and the networks, the networks will be the distributors. Okay? Not the other way around, which it was. So networks are basically, it kind of went like this. You went and got a menu at a restaurant, and you open it up, and there was a beef patty and two buns. Is that it?
Starting point is 00:56:47 Yeah. Well, that's the way the tour does it. Okay? Here's the networks. They give you what they want. And if they're not doing so well, by the way, as you know, they'll take out a couple of cameras, text, production. And so they're just depleting what the poor organizations
Starting point is 00:57:02 that are running these golf tournaments. They're depleting their product. We're going to do the opposite. We're going to have the PGA, we're going to have the franchises now really in partnership with the PGA tour. I'm going to tell you what I want. And then you're going to go do it
Starting point is 00:57:19 because we're going to give you a bunch of money because I want to make my tournament the best. So now we've opened up all sorts of revenue streams and everything else. platforms that the PGA Tour can do, they're ready to go. They can do it, Netflix, Amazon, Apple, and YouTube. And build, we can do a red zone. All the good shots, you know, real, you can do all.
Starting point is 00:57:42 There's all sorts of things we've looked at to do. Just this would be a guess, obviously, because we have no idea where it's going to go. But the TV deals are up in 2029. Yep. So obviously, there's going to be a new price. Yep. Do you think the price goes up or down? Yes, yes.
Starting point is 00:57:58 Oh, where you just three. Okay, we did this. We did this. Went in and we went into AI. And we said, what if the PGA tour went in and had ownership and split theirs into two leagues? What other sport would represent? What sport came back like this on AI, like this? And it's identical to what we're doing.
Starting point is 00:58:24 It was unbelievable. You know, I did it? What sport would mirror this? Yeah. This format you're saying? When they changed in 2017. When they changed. Wrestling.
Starting point is 00:58:35 Oh, when they changed. Wrestling. Wrestling. W. W.E had Smackdown and Raw. Okay? And then they bought two other acronyms. They had all these wrestlers.
Starting point is 00:58:47 So they made two leagues. And then they had them come in and bid for these television. They come in and bid on these two different leagues independently. each stop, each town. And all of a sudden they gained all sorts of different revenue, which we're going to want because we might have seven different platforms coming. And then they said, then we started to market our guys and market them.
Starting point is 00:59:13 And it was league against league. And competition was there. What we're going to do with this, the competition now can be inside of golf instead of us against live. I'm just tired of it. Yeah. Okay. So we built this competition.
Starting point is 00:59:27 competition. That's fast. Yeah, that's interesting. I'm just curious. I'm just curious. I don't even think of it from that. Because obviously every sport, like the price is going up. I mean, we were talking with Charles Barker the other day about the NBA and like with
Starting point is 00:59:38 the new TV deal. Like, he's like, we're going to have players making $80 and $90 million a year. Like it's insane. How about that deal? But with golf, like our TV right deals, $6.50, 700 million. You know, people, whatever you want to say. It was $650 million last year. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:59:50 And because of how high it is, it affects the product. I mean, you know, people bitch about commercials nonstop. Well, yeah. CBS, NBC, they're not looking to lose money in this deal. And because of how high the rights fees are, you got to do that shit to work it out. I'm just curious to know with golf, like, okay, can we keep going up? Because then what's the product going to end up looking like? You know, when you say up, I don't know what format they're going to choose to go up.
Starting point is 01:00:18 So I don't know. I don't know they're in goal. All I know is a business guy. I am not a business guy, okay? I still can't get a four in the air. as a business guy, how do you recoup the $1.5 billion and then put an ROI on that for-profit side? What do you for a living? I build franchises, the best in the world.
Starting point is 01:00:43 Dude, they're not going to do anything different than they've done. So I don't see any other way. Given that, you can, you know, your question, you'd start building, it should go up. because I think it will, I think it will generate interest because every one of those 36 tournaments are going to be different. They're going to be different because my marketing team, now the networks don't have marketing teams.
Starting point is 01:01:12 Now it's franchises. Networking get rid of all that. You're a distributor. You just sit there, okay? We can control the commercials. I got a whole plan on commercials. How we integrate QR codes, everything else, to the thing that doesn't, you don't stop, it's already there.
Starting point is 01:01:32 Topps of all of the, okay, can you imagine you're flying drones and you get them high, high, and then you go down and you green screen all of the tents, the top of it with commercials? All you do is a flyover while you're watching the go. There's so many ways we can do that now. And we looked at the things people don't like and they don't like commercials. because, as you know, networks have backlogs of commercials. What are they going to do with Century? Century is $20 million.
Starting point is 01:02:04 They're going to get their commercials, okay? Paid for it. Pardon what's not on? Yeah. What's going to happen? They're going to get them in, and you're going to have Sellers shy, screaming and yell, go, we've got to get three more in. You know, it's just, they get backloaded.
Starting point is 01:02:19 Sellers doesn't yell. He's a wonderful man. Yes, he is. You just signed into a contract, you're ticking shit. Anyway, so that's guys, and we've got a bunch of other stuff that's too minimal, but it's revenue streams for, we got TGL involved. I call TGL up, and I go, okay, here's the deal. I said, to me, your business model doesn't work at all.
Starting point is 01:02:42 You built a stadium for $50 million. It holds 1,800 people, and it's only in use for eight months. It doesn't make it. The first question, I said, can you mobilize that tech? You put it in 18 wheeler and move? it? And they said, well, we don't know, but yeah, probably. Okay. So what if you moved it and followed the tour? Now, I know they are involved with now going into big cities and trying to get franchises sold and everything else. So why just follow the tour? That's it. And I talked to our
Starting point is 01:03:12 boy at Phoenix. I said, okay, here. You run on Tuesday. Rory, you're playing in that league. You come on down and you run the tournament and we'll take and the 16th hole, we'll build, was already there. We'll put your stuff up, software up, and you can go and have it, and we will give you food and beverage, and we'll get a platform their contract is with ESPN.
Starting point is 01:03:37 I don't know for how long, what, I don't know what, but we can do platforms. We can do these platforms with Netflix, Amazon, and sell all this stuff. The revenue streams, guys, is unbelievable when you break it down to franchises. And
Starting point is 01:03:52 on the platforms that we're going to have, because the world wants content, and that content is sports live. 100%. And both today, both Netflix and Amazon watched. I sent them the two guys, the articles. These are the big boys there. Anyway, so everybody's interested. Have you spoke to rollout?
Starting point is 01:04:25 Do you want to? No. Again, I don't want this when I did the all exam tour was through the players. So that's why I called two of the guys, one of them with the rock, and I said, I'm going to hand it to you.
Starting point is 01:04:41 What do you mean? We're going to hand you this whole thing. And you guys go jack with it and do what you guys think is right. I just think this is, if you're going to change, dudes, let's change. Let's not keep.
Starting point is 01:04:55 doing this and getting smaller. It just doesn't make any sense. So whether it's this exact model that you've laid out or something similar, you're convinced that's the way that's going with franchises in some capacity being that SSGs, the one taken over. And it's invested, like you said, 1.5 and with another 1.5 kicker. You know, I'm not Chief Inspector Cluzzo, but I... Something along those lines.
Starting point is 01:05:15 I'm pretty sure they're in the business to do what they do for a business, right? Yeah. It only seems right. So that's kind of, that's where we are. it hit today. I made sure, you know, the tour's dead now for about a month. So that's why I want to release it now,
Starting point is 01:05:33 especially Tiger's tournament, is next week. And the author, Adam is down there, and I talk to JJ Spawn in the putting green, told him, so he's down there. And if they've got questions, I tried to get Rory's number. I couldn't get it.
Starting point is 01:05:51 I was just going to talk him through this stuff. so he would understand it. And again, you know, it's, if you can take it, contort it, when I did the All Exemptor, the number I had was 135. They came back with 90. I said, no, my boys are not going to, I was like a, you know, I'm representing my boys back there. No, it's not 90?
Starting point is 01:06:16 No, no, we got to go did it do, do, do. We start jacking around and they got it to 125. and I said, yeah, I can sell 125. Well, what do we do? Is that number going to stay? I said, well, it's real simple. After five years, if the guys at 126 that are going out, they better, if they're worse than the guys coming in,
Starting point is 01:06:42 okay, it works. If they're not, it doesn't work. And you might have to change the number. They never did change the number. So that's like this. They can change numbers all over the place. But I think, I think, they should franchise. I think they should have two leagues. That creates competition. It creates
Starting point is 01:06:59 innovation with the tournament themselves and their asset. And that's going to be fantastic to see, you know, let's say Portnoy, Portnoy, why's the franchise? That tournament's going to look a little strange, right? That'll be slightly different. There's been slightly different. And if it works, Phoenix. Yeah, they'll all be trying to create that. question. You know why Phoenix is good? When you look at all this stuff, there's one reason why it's fantastic. They don't need anybody in the top 100. Doesn't matter who plays. Doesn't matter who plays. That is what we're trying to get to. Okay. But when you get 18 and 18 and these guys are got to play for world ranking points and money, they're going to play most of the 18. If not,
Starting point is 01:07:46 that guy's really rich who bought that one and he might have something for you. And you can do team, we've come up with team concepts. I don't, but it's fascinating. Make money for the local charities here. You know, we had to get that aspect of it. How do you pay now? 1,800 volunteers. They did it because the tournaments were going to give money to charity.
Starting point is 01:08:11 Okay, in the local communities, they want to be filled part of that. That's going to continue. And we've got a way to do that that I think would appease all the workers. again, you've got to go over a lot of crap when you're doing this and trying to reorganize and trying to reinvent something and make everybody kind of, oh, okay, that facilitates me better.
Starting point is 01:08:35 It's going to be very interesting to see which route he goes because, I mean, there's, he said, I mean, there's change coming, yeah. Yeah, and all I hear, which I think is funny, the big changes, according to Harris English, was we don't want to go during football We want to go after it starts good. That's good.
Starting point is 01:08:53 And we want to get less tournaments. So they're more selective, which I don't agree with that. Because when I was with Beeman, when we were starting this, I remember he gave us a lecture. He said, listen, guys, there's 52 weeks in a year. I want a tournament every week. Because when we don't throw a tournament for a week, there's going to be somebody out there that's going to take our players and they're going to go play in it. And he says, you got it, and I'll never get, and that's, that is handed down all the way.
Starting point is 01:09:26 Every commissioner has done that, every one of them. Will you make us one promise? What? That it's not going to happen for a very, very long time because you're just, you're Gary McCord. When you do go, though, that brain's getting donated to science. We got some questions. We got to figure out, okay? Yeah, it's sports.
Starting point is 01:09:42 You know what? No one, no one needs to look into that dark, dark place. You're a prisoner of that thing, and I feel bad for you. Well, you guys are right there, too. So, you know. Well, you're the best magic. That's what's fun about life, right? And if you can do these things.
Starting point is 01:09:58 Well, props to you for just sitting around and like putting this all together, just like you did 43 years ago or whatever. Like, this isn't on your shoulders, but yet you did it. The whole golf world adopted it 43 years ago. And whether it's this exact model or something similar, like, it ain't going to look the same in a handful of years as it has in the past. No. And again, it doesn't take much to figure out what these guys do for a living that own the tour now.
Starting point is 01:10:20 It doesn't take much. It's not like I'm smart or anything. It's just like, duh, there it is. It's what they do. So I'm assuming they're going to do that. Stay tuned, folks. Stay tuned. All right, magic.
Starting point is 01:10:32 We love you. Great jacket, by the way. Love that. We look phenomenal. Thank you. Love it. Thank you very much. All right.
Starting point is 01:10:38 That was Gary McCord, joining us on subpar. Just a beautiful man. Got to love him. Got so much going on in that brain of his. Still, still sharp his attack. Dude, he's got a lot of great ideas. And from what it sounds like, Roy McElroy, among others,
Starting point is 01:10:53 seemed pretty interested in this idea. Yeah, I think he's got the attention of the right people. I mean, something's going to happen. Roll-ups talked about it. We don't know exactly which way it's going to go. But this way, instead of, like, shrinking the amount of guys that are playing the game at the highest level, you get more of it.
Starting point is 01:11:07 And, I mean, he's the guy that came up with the All Exempt Tour. Yeah. Back in the day, I've been using it for 40-plus years. So he's not just, you know, a wild man. I feel like he's got all his ducks in a row on this one, too. Absolutely. Always fun sitting down. I love him, dude.
Starting point is 01:11:20 One of my favorite people. people in golf. All right. And the holidays are here, and there's nothing better than a custom gift, especially with a discount. For the first time ever,

Starting point is 01:11:39 com. Slees, by the way, I would like a chance to win my $100 back that I lost to you on the Cowboys and Broncos a few weeks ago. I know where you're going with this and I accept.
Starting point is 01:11:49 You accept. Yeah. Myself and the Larry. Scott Harrington challenge you and Drew Kittleson at the Grass League here on Friday and Saturday. Low score takes home the honey. For 36 holes for the whole thing. Yeah. Done deal.
Starting point is 01:12:02 You got it. Very interesting team, you and Larrington. I was talking to him about it. I was like, because this is like right in Colts Alley, great wedge player, short irons, great putter. Lair, you're terrible at all those things. You drive the shit out of it and you get to hit no drivers. So like you don't get the wedge whenever else is hit an eight iron from the, you know.
Starting point is 01:12:17 So it would be interesting, interesting team. All I know is he's a better way. player than like an accountant. Let him put first. Well, yeah, that's... You put second. But yeah, fairback, me and Kitty, you and Lair for a hundy. Got it. It's a bad. It's going to be a lot of fun out there. If you're in town, come check it out. Got Midland playing. Got Big X the plug. There it is. On Saturday night, trying to get him to get you up there and do it a little bit, bring back your
Starting point is 01:12:41 bomb squad songs from back in the day. I got to get the okay from Graham. Maybe fly him down. It's going to be fun. If you're in the air, come check it out. It's going to be a party, Friday, Saturday, down at grass clippings in Tempe. It's going to be sweet, man. I'm excited. By the way, right before here, I was just over hitting a few balls with John Costas. You get a little tune up before the grassley.
Starting point is 01:13:00 Got on the track, man. You know, I'm not afraid to talk about my speed. I don't really have any. I'm getting faster. Yeah? Where are we got? I would say we've hit balls probably two or three times this year. And earlier this year, like,
Starting point is 01:13:14 I was 102 miles an hour with like 152 ball speed. I was 106 miles an hour today with 157 and a half. ball speed. What are you doing? Well, I have been going to the gym, actually, but I don't know. Maybe I'm just finding... You're finally hitting your athletic peak. Yes, at 40. Yeah. That 106 is going to come in handy at grass speed.
Starting point is 01:13:31 I know. I was like, wow, cool. I'm smashing the driver. I don't get to hit it. My first ever part three tournament. Yeah. Yeah. Good for you. I was like, good on that speed. I was like, damn, that's pretty good for me. Yep. Catching up. David, Pooge. Yeah, look out. Pullge out. Bitch. He's coming. You know what we did with the driver, though? A little left heel up. pick the left heel up oh yeah i love that i wish i could do it two miles an hour really it works for everyone i just feel like i hit it
Starting point is 01:13:55 off center most of the time you do that anyway yeah exactly might as well do it faster so why am i doing it different all right but look out i'm a long drive guy now okay 106 and counting we'll say yeah yeah all right grassley you better bring it go go get dialed in not dude i stay grind i stay ready all right that's going to do it for us we'll talk to you on next week's subpar
