Starting point is 00:00:00 I looked over in these two men who I can only describe as trolls, like, love them so much. I'm sure they're excellent people, but when I saw them, they were hunched and had big long beards. And they were shoving fishing wire. No. Fish wires. In a burger. In like multiple burgers. Touching them and shoving wire in and being like, and then giving them to them to me and being like, eat, eat it.
Starting point is 00:00:26 Hi, you guys. Welcome to Sid Olivia Talk. I'm the sad one. I'm the Olivia one. And I'm the Anna. Okay. Yep, yep, yep. Sorry.
Starting point is 00:00:38 No, it's exactly. We have another one today, a very special one. We're so excited about this one. We're freaking me out. We are freaking me out. We're, um, we're shing our pant. And today, um, we have Anna Garcia. waving to a studio audience.
Starting point is 00:00:55 Oh my God. We're so happy to have it. How are you doing today besides your issues? No, I can talk about that. Besides all of your issues. I've got a ton of issues going on, which is that I haven't shit in like a week. Yeah, we've just talked about it. And then I haven't.
Starting point is 00:01:07 We might. We might just keep it. And we might just keep it in. And I haven't. And I'm just so, at some point in the pod, I get up and go, we know. And this pod usually does have a safe word. So your safe word could be, I have to shit. Yeah, that's perfect.
Starting point is 00:01:19 Yeah, that's a good thing. And I can use that for anything. Yeah. Okay, perfect. I don't feel safe. I have to shit. Yeah. And then the podcast stops.
Starting point is 00:01:24 And then it stops entirely. Yeah. And we never do it again. Perfect. You know what's so interesting is that we know we've met you before. Yeah. But we're not like friends. We haven't like hung out.
Starting point is 00:01:38 We're not even friends. We haven't hung out. We haven't even hung out. I'm very excited because this is, and I don't know if you know this, and I don't know what it is on your end. Okay. But this is the first time. You've had a woman on the show. I think this is the first time I've gotten to.
Starting point is 00:01:56 We're so excited finally. Have a woman anywhere near me. We're so excited. And I'm like, what's it like? Give me, give me. No, I think this is the first. time, at least in my memory, at least recently, that I get to interact with you when I'm sober. Oh, were you drunk at the...
Starting point is 00:02:15 Yeah, I've been drunk at the last two times I saw it. There was like a Halloween party. Yes, yes. Which obviously... Which was fun. That was a great party. I was like, oh, fuck. How does he does that again?
Starting point is 00:02:28 Oh, my God, it was so great. I'm actually... But every time I'm drunk or high or a little bit of both and I run into someone, I know sometimes I look like I've seen a ghost and I'm just like trying to place like where I am and if I'm seeming normal. And so you've been pretty normal both times. Both times? Okay, that was what I was going to ask. And then also, if you were to rank how normal I am right now, how would you say? Ooh, you're the most normal for sure. Great. Right now. Right. But you weren't not normal in the other two. Yeah. Yeah. This is good news. Sometimes you don't, you just don't know how you come across.
Starting point is 00:03:01 Yeah. I'm stoked to be really retaining this. Good. Oh, good. But the thing that's so exciting is I feel like, I feel a kindred thing with you. I feel very much so like, well, of course. Yeah. Of course. I know. I'm like, we don't know each other, but if we did, we'd be really good friends.
Starting point is 00:03:20 That's the thing is, like, I'm hoping that today kicks off real friendship. I hope so. Me too. We're all dressed like, what's the show about the kids at the skate part? Yeah, recess. Yeah. I was going to say the one where they skateboard. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:34 But that's not the. But yeah. We all are having such a specific brand of like child. Child. Yeah. It's awesome. Yeah. Yeah. And we didn't plan it at all. No, we didn't. No, because it'd be so weird if we texted each other and went, should we plan that we all dress like a specific type of child? That'd be insane. Which is how I'd look at my closet every day. Which type of child. Yesterday I was backyard baseball. Truly same. Yeah. Every day I'm either an old man or a young boy. Sit as a young baseball player. I'm mostly young boy. Yeah. mostly. And then occasionally I'll be like, today's old man. I love that. Today's old man day. Today you're sort of giving like older man. Maybe hippie woman. To me you're giving the kid. You're wearing, you're giving the kid who's showing up to after school baseball practice or school or something and you're like sporty and athletic, but you have so many siblings that your parents only give you hand me downs.
Starting point is 00:04:30 Yeah. And so you're your oldest, your oldest sibling. Like, you're like, sorry, I hate that, by the way. It's just so crazy to be told I look like I'm wearing hand-me-down. Because because in my head, in my head, you look like you could use someone else's stuff. No, what it is, is that it's too, like, in my head, they're all too big for you, and that's what's giving kids. None of your clothes fit. And so that's why I kind of was saying. You're a little baseball kid.
Starting point is 00:04:55 You're like a baseball kid who's like, I've got my sister's skirt and my brother's jersey. And you're smoking cigarettes. And I'm the kid that's got cigarettes. Yeah. And I'm eating them because I don't know. I'm smoking them, but I'm not lighting. them. I'm doing something wrong with them. I'm not doing it right. And I'm going to throw up from it. All at the bleachers. All at the bleachers. None of us get to be in the game.
Starting point is 00:05:13 Yeah. I was going to say, you look like the girl that wants to play on the boys' team. But I'm on the bottom half wearing my mom's wedding dress. The hidden trauma of your character is your mom left after her wedding day. Yeah. And so now I'm just like always being like, oh. Wish my mom would come back. Maybe if I wear her wedding dress. Maybe if I get great at baseball. Yeah, that's a good story for us But you're not great at baseball because you trip over the wedding But what I was going to say is I kind of feel like
Starting point is 00:05:40 if we had a third I feel like it would be it Oh my God And that's a question we're always asked right Do you guys have a third? Do you guys have a third? Do you guys have And I'm floating around in the lines? I have nothing to base this on because But why are you you're right though
Starting point is 00:05:53 It's just vibe and when you guys finally asked me to the podcast I was like But I feel that you should be our third Great And I think we should try to do things today Yeah to make that relationship happen. Okay, so what are the, I feel like, I feel like, what are the, um, the pillars of friendship? The tenants of.
Starting point is 00:06:12 What are the pillars of friendship? I feel like deep connection, like knowing each other well, asking questions that like other people don't know. Should we try that first? Yeah, let's start with that. Okay, first we're going to trauma dump. Music! Cup music!
Starting point is 00:06:25 Okay, not really trauma dump, but let's just ask intense question. Oh my God, I've got intense questions. What is your, I do? Yeah. Yeah, you start. Oh, well, I was just going to say, I had a friend of, group for a really long time. And I was like, I was like, we should play the question game. And the question game is just one person has a question. Everyone has to go around and answer.
Starting point is 00:06:40 Yeah, that's a great game. That's what we're playing. That's what we're doing. That's what we're doing. It's the question game. And I love and I'm like, I want to know you all so deeply. Okay. What is all of your relationship with attention? Ooh. Break you. Ooh, that's a good one. Let's see. Love it need it. Like it, love it, got to have it. But also hate it. Yeah. Yes. Yes. But also hate it. squirming in my bows. Yes. Yes. Yeah, I'm going to leave it at that. Yeah, desperately want it until I have it. Yeah. Desperately want it until I have it. And then the second I have it, I'm like, what? Why would I ever want that? When I get it, it poisons my mind. Yeah, I have to like,
Starting point is 00:07:18 I have to, I'm trying to detach from it and being like, I don't know how. The things I do that may or may not give me attention and give me that dopamine boost, I have to be doing them for other reasons. I have to be doing this. Right. Because I like hanging out with my friend and I like hanging out with people I think are cool. That's great. If it's for, I don't check the comments, I don't check the views. You don't? Probably to an extent that's harmful and I probably should.
Starting point is 00:07:43 But to me, I'm like, you don't check the comments? Oh my God, I've read everything that's ever been written about me. But like, sometimes I will. Sometimes I will and sometimes they're all really nice and I'm just like, oh, yay. But, but, you know, but whatever, man. Yeah, I just tried, I'm trying to like, I'm trying to divorce attention and my need for it. Because when I get it, I don't like it. Right.
Starting point is 00:08:05 Yeah. How about you, Sutney? Sutney. I feel like Sutney. I feel like Satni about my attention. Like, what if I was a Pokemon and all I said was Sutney? I would be sad. I would be sad to lose you.
Starting point is 00:08:19 But I would also like. I would get that from it as well. But what if I was living my truth? Then I need to accept it. What if my truth is I'm a Pokemon? I say Sutney. I would still do everything. we do together.
Starting point is 00:08:33 Sutney, Sutney. Because in our sketches, I straight man you anyway. So I can just go Sutney, and you go like,
Starting point is 00:08:39 Sutney. All the lines are Sutney. Are you really a Pokemon or you just think you're a Pokemon? I'm just having a moment. Okay.
Starting point is 00:08:48 Sorry, what I just said is I just having a moment. Actually, what is I just spent a bunch of time with kids. I knew them. And I was at a
Starting point is 00:08:57 playground with a child who loves Pokemon and he was like, can we play tag? I was like, absolutely we can play tag. And we started playing tag. And this other kid on the playground who we didn't know was like, can I play? And it was, I shit you not a child Tony Soprano.
Starting point is 00:09:11 I shit you not. He had four silver teeth. And at some point, I referred to us as the dream team. And he said, you two are the dream team? You dokey. And I was like, this kid is awesome. I need this kid. And I, if my kid isn't this kid.
Starting point is 00:09:28 Oh, he's perfect. If my kid doesn't have, he's born with four silver team. I am getting them for it. I'm swallowing a bunch of silver. I literally was like, and he kept pushing me. The better finest way to his mouth. I loved him so much. He kept pushing me to tag me.
Starting point is 00:09:39 And then I kept tagging him back and accidentally pushing him over. So I just thought he could handle more. Yeah. He was giving, I could handle. He was like, he followed me to my car to say, hey, and remember, you're it. Still. Awesome. So awesome.
Starting point is 00:09:56 Love the kid. That's really. Was he there alone? Yeah, he drove off. He drove off. Maybe this guy was... Oh, wait a second. When I say young Tony Soprano, I mean, he's 40.
Starting point is 00:10:09 I didn't mean, he was like 39. Um, no, he was... Yeah, he was like, Plank Dad, me and this child kept shoving the child shoving me. He was awesome. The four silver teeth is really what to tip me off. His wife kept off. His silver teeth was... Voiceover teeth.
Starting point is 00:10:27 Horse silver teeth is awesome. Anyway, so yeah, I've been in a very Pokemon. mood. But my relationship with attention is I think that if I see that I'm if I'm in a situation where people are like, we're all trying to get attention. I'm like, okay, so it's time to get attention. And then I'm like, I want that. And then the second, the second I don't get it, I go like, wow, I must be stupid. And then when I do get it, I'm like, okay, so you're just taking over the conversation, you asshole. I completely shut down. If I'm in a room or stage and there's someone that wants the attention more than me or yeah like if everyone wants it
Starting point is 00:11:08 the same perfect but sometimes there are people that really want it and I go you can have it yeah and then I just sort of shut up yeah I go you can have it you go freeze you I go freeze sometimes they go into like like my brain sees the thing as like a hole and I go like okay well hold on like this person's been talking this amount this person's been talking this person needs to talk I've been talking and like but also I'm ADHD so like I will just be talking about and then realize it at a certain point and be like, holy shit, this bitch is talking and sometimes I'll talk and I won't say anything.
Starting point is 00:11:37 And so I'm like also trying to be conscious of that because while that's fun and it's how I express myself and who gives a fuck, I also don't want to interrupt people to say nothing and take up all the time. So it's about finding balance. But what's your relationship with silence? Ooh.
Starting point is 00:11:54 You guys, we're becoming very close to me. I like this start. We talked about shitting ourselves and then we talked about this. I love this. Okay, I have two things. Yeah. First, I want to respond to what you said when I'm in a conversation.
Starting point is 00:12:06 Yeah. Or if someone's telling a story and they're not looking at everyone equally. Oh. I've had someone tell a story and look only at me and I've had like friends. I'm like, look at my friends. Yeah. Or if I'm telling a story, I'm going, everyone gets a sentence. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:20 I'm like so conscientious of it. When I said you two are the dream team, Yaduki, did I look at both of you? I don't think you can. What? You can't look at two places at the same time. Well, I can because one of my eyes is lazy. Oh my God, you always get to win that way. One of my eyes is lazy.
Starting point is 00:12:41 Sid, I don't even know. Yeah, so, okay, so here's what sucks. Oh, okay. That's what a lazy eye is. It can be the lid. It's a lazy eye turns out. She doesn't have a lazy eye. I was like, your eye looks normal, girl.
Starting point is 00:12:54 And I'm, her eyes are normal. Apparently, according to doctors and her and some other people who can see it. There's one lid that is slightly different than the other. It goes down. Being perceived can be tough. It's really rough. When we do read the comments and they're all nice, there'll be nice comments that are like, oh, Sydney, Sydney. I do see it. And then people will be like, Olivia, you are, I have to tell you this, because I am, you are so autistic. You are blatantly autistic. And like, maybe, but I have too many things right now. You're like, I'm busy. I have ADHD, I have OCD, and I know those for sure.
Starting point is 00:13:34 And also have CPTSD. And then I have P-N-V-D. It's too many things. I can't have autism right now. You're collecting all the letters. I can't have any more. I have to get rid of some of them or put them in remission or know how to handle them in a way where I can talk about them again. It's a step-by-step situation.
Starting point is 00:13:50 I can't have another one right now because then I'll go to the hospital because it's too many things. Yeah. Was your relationship? Yeah, I'd have to. With silence. Right. I'd be far too. sexy
Starting point is 00:14:01 with silence yeah I used to be a person that needed to fill it I would go no one's talking they all hate me now
Starting point is 00:14:15 it can be kind of a vibe it can be kind of a vibe actually and I think when you the real test is finding people you can be silent yeah that's true I don't know what are your guys's relationships
Starting point is 00:14:30 with silence. I fucking love it. Yeah? There are moments when there is just, like for example, my favorite part of doing anything on a set
Starting point is 00:14:42 is when you do room tone. Me too. Oh, I love. I'm like, I'm not religious, but when we do room tone, I'm like, God is real.
Starting point is 00:14:49 Oh, it's the best. It's the best. Everyone being quiet and just being like, God, that's nice. And everyone stops moving and everyone works together as a team to create this beautiful thing
Starting point is 00:14:58 and I'm like, Isn't it gorgeous? It's actually gorgeous. I went to the Ariana. Oh, yeah. And that's gorgeous. That's going to mean the whole movie. I went to an Ariana Grande concert.
Starting point is 00:15:09 Hope you're well, Ari. And she, um, she, love and light. And at some point she was like, can everyone just be quiet? Because I'm like going to do like she does like a loop thing. I've seen all the videos of this. It's amazing. And everyone in this gigantic stadium. Totally quiet.
Starting point is 00:15:28 And it's like the most amazing feeling. Really? There are so many of us and we're all on the same page. Because I've seen videos where maybe I'm only getting to serve the flubs, but someone will go like in the middle of it. And I'm like, don't. My crowd did not do that. That's amazing. It's amazing.
Starting point is 00:15:45 And you can tell that she's so happy about it. She gets a second and then she gets to do it. It's amazing. Though I will say there's something interesting. Concerts have changed a lot the past 10 years. And they now, a lot of. celebrities are doing things where there's like built in moments of silence. Like, you know, when Beyonce did everybody on mute and then everyone has to be quiet for like five seconds.
Starting point is 00:16:06 Yes. I feel like that was sort of the beginning of everyone being like, I want to do that for my concert. And so now I feel like there's all the, Ariane's, I guess, makes sense because of her like looper. But there's like all these weird like. She also does me and my truth, we sit in silence and then hopes that people are silent and a lot of the time they're not. Yeah. Yeah. Oh my God, beautiful.
Starting point is 00:16:25 Yeah. Wait. Do it again. Do that. Okay, so do that for the rest of the pod and then shit. Okay, you do your Pokemon. Suck me. I'll do my little Ariana riff.
Starting point is 00:16:36 And I'll practice silence for the very first time. I've been going through my closet and I'm adding some kind of fun new pieces that I really like, but there's a lot of pieces that just like don't work for me anymore and they're totally fine, but they're just like not, I'm never going to wear them. Yeah, I think about all of the items of clothing that are just kind of living. in my closet and don't get to see the light of day. And that's not even fair to them. It's not fair to them. And I should. And what I should be doing is selling them on Vinted so that someone else can give these clothes a new life. Vinted is a secondhand marketplace app that makes it really easy to sell the clothes you're not wearing and make a couple extra bucks on the side. Listing on Vinted is quick and simple. And when you sell something on Vinted, they even make a prepaid shipping label for you. And one of my favorite things about selling on Vinted is that there's no seller fees. So you can keep everything that you earn.
Starting point is 00:17:27 So not only are you doing kind of like a clean out of your closet, you're also making some money. That's like pretty worthwhile. And it also makes it easier to justify refreshing your wardrobe after. So take a look through your closet because you actually might be surprised how much money is just sitting in there. Download the Vinted app for free and start listing today. There are no seller fees so you keep every dollar you earn. And for a limited time, Vinted is also offering free shipping in the U.S. Give your clothes a second life with Vinted.
Starting point is 00:17:55 Some nights are planned. some nights are spontaneous. Sometimes you make a new friend and you immediately have to go get drinks. Regardless of if your night is planned or spontaneous, you can always think ahead with Zbiotics. I drink Zbiotics pre-alcohol before my first drink. So that you don't have that yucky feeling tomorrow. Zbiotics pre-alcohol probiotic drink is the world's first genetically engineered probiotic.
Starting point is 00:18:19 It was engineered by Ph.D. microbiologists to break down acetaldehyde. An unwanted byproduct of alcohol metabolism. Make pre-alcohol your first drink of the night. Drink responsibly and enjoy your next day activities. Zbiotics has actually sold more than 14 million bottles of these and earned the trust of thousands. Including us. Last weekend, I took myself on a trip to Santa Barbara and it was awesome. And while I don't drink as much as I used to, I went wine tasting one of the nights because I had to. But I took one of these before.
Starting point is 00:18:52 And when you're on a trip, you want to be able to really make the most of it. So the fact that you were able to enjoy the next day completely is pretty nice. 100%. I sat out by the ocean. I just let myself hang out and just enjoy being in nature. And that would have been harder if I felt bad. Try for yourself today. And if you're unsatisfied, they will refund your entire order.
Starting point is 00:19:13 No questions asked. Head to zbiotics.com slash talk and use code talk for 15% off your first order. Zbiotics is a partner of mine. What's your relationship with silence? You know, I definitely am not like, I don't gravitate towards it, but I can, I don't know. Yeah. I, when I'm alone, I do often like to put like music on or put like a show on or like I like having multiple levels of stimulus at a time or else sometimes my thoughts will go like weird. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:19:51 But also like sometimes it's really nice. And I think as I get older, I think as I get older, I like it more. And I like alone time more. And I like going home early more and going to sleep early more, which sounds so lame, but it actually feels good. It was like before it sounded depressing when I was in my like mid-20s, I was like, when people say that, it sounds so fucking depressing. But then for some reason, like, something in my body is just like, dude, that's you being like, that's you connecting to yourself and having time with yourself. And like, I feel like science silence is. could be the same.
Starting point is 00:20:28 Yeah. I also like meditating. Meditating. That sounded so weird the way I was like, I also like medit. I also like meditating. No, that's awesome. I used to meditate every single day. I don't do it.
Starting point is 00:20:39 And I was like, I am a better person because of it. And then I stopped doing it, of course. I stopped, but I love it. Yeah. One day. I'm going to get back on that thing. How do you guys get into it? Do you use an app?
Starting point is 00:20:48 The Headspace app. Headspace app. I pay and I use the Headspace app. I do TM, which is transcendental meditation, which is just like you literally have a mantra that you repeat and you repeat it like you're hearing it like it's a thought. So it's not an active, which is, it takes a second to like be like, but it's like it's not an active like I'm saying this in my head. It's like I'm hearing this in my head like it's a thought. And sometimes I, and you kind of are not supposed to know how it's spelled or how to
Starting point is 00:21:15 visualize anything specific about it. It's just supposed to be a sound and you do it for 20 minutes in theory twice a day. And then you're like nervous system. It's the same thought over and over. name word and it's a and it's a Sanskrit word and so it's not a real it's not a word that I know what it means but it but my dad who got me into it he is a different Sanskrit word because we like it's interesting it's yeah so it's like you just repeat a a word you know I don't know what it means over and over and over and over again and when you feel thoughts come in you go like um when you notice that you're not just doing the word you go back to it and the word is like a sound that sounds
Starting point is 00:21:54 really um like easy to like you know it's none of it's like harsh or anything and then you just kind of go into a different state and it like I guess is like scientifically proven to do like cool shit but all meditation is like meditation's good and I just like yeah it's but there's no visualization there's you don't have to do anything except for people's and I do that when I'm also having a panic attack or like when I was like having my awake surgery which I had a surgery while I was awake kind of and I like the movie like the movie awake surgery like the movie awake No, there's a movie you called Awake. Do you know about that? Is it about someone who, like, can't communicate in their awake? Or is that they have...
Starting point is 00:22:29 It's about someone who gets awake. They have anesthesia, but it's... They wake up during it. Yeah. But they can't move their body. I hate that. It's the scariest movie. Yeah, mine was like a CT guided surgery. So I had to like, they had like, I had to hold my breath and like do certain things while they guided me on a... It was like, but I did that and it really does that and then I like, you know, just whatever.
Starting point is 00:22:52 Like, but it's good to have those tools, even though I, like, I'm... I don't fucking use them, but they are awesome. So anyway, I like Transcendental Meditation if you didn't know that. Huge. And it's a word that I don't understand. Is there no need to? Is there anything else that's like a deep question that you want to know? What is something you are trying to grow past right now?
Starting point is 00:23:19 Such a good question. I can start with mine. Please. Okay. So I am trying to learn how to connect to and understand what my feelings are and process them in a shorter amount of time. Ooh. Because when something happens to me, it takes me a very long time because I immediately bury it. I people please.
Starting point is 00:23:42 I don't let myself feel anything. I don't let myself feel sadness. I put it, take it in. Wow. I like get mean to myself. And then the actual issue is so far away that then I just am like. like super disconnected from myself and I don't know who I am on and so it's like I'm trying to do a thing where it's like when I'm in a tough situation and I feel something that's like not a good feeling.
Starting point is 00:24:02 I want to like actually feel it be like, okay, this is a feeling, let it pass through, try to figure out how to like describe it or intellectualize it or like be, you know, like understand it myself before I act on it and then act on it in a way that is still true to what I feel and not just brushing it under the rug and like abandoning myself again. Yeah. And that is what I'm trying to work on right now. I love that. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:24:28 Yeah. Anna, what are you working on? I think I am always like chasing towards the next big thing. Usually career-wise. And I have learned that like life kind of feels the same no matter where you're at. Yeah. And so you'll always have problems. always like you know yeah um and so it it really hate to say it but everybody's right it really is
Starting point is 00:24:59 about the the day that you have and so i'm just trying to get better i'm like i'm always in a state of like i have to book the next thing you have to you know i have to and i think i'm like this year taking more like little trips than i ever have ever and so i'm like i just i'm saying no to more things like I'm like I'm just trying to I think it'll make I I don't want to be someone that's like not so crazy crazy driven because I think that's a super defining trait about myself yeah but I'm like I want to pair that with like it being okay and yeah and it's also like you can be driven and you can go for the next thing but knowing that you're going to feel similar once you get that next thing you're going to be like what's the next thing is a good thing to know and be like okay I am driven I I do like
Starting point is 00:25:48 to push in my career. I do like to work and get things and achieve. But it's not the thing that I know it's not the thing that's going to suddenly flip a switch and then I'm going to feel totally good about everything. I also have to do other things in my life while I'm driven. Yeah. And that's fucking sick. Yeah. And also because there's always going to be negative experiences with any part of life, which means that you're going to want to cultivate another part of your life where you can have a positive experience so that you have a nice little balance. And the more cool shit you do for yourself, the more fun you have making art, I feel. Totally.
Starting point is 00:26:20 Because you're just like, oh, I'm less depressed because I took a little trip. I think, honestly, the best acting I've ever done is when I was also in pottery class at the same time. Oh my God, you took a pottery class? I've been doing pottery since high school. Wait, that's so crazy. You do pottery? Yeah. You still do.
Starting point is 00:26:36 Yeah. Okay, so are you remember? Yeah. Maybe I should come visit. Yeah, you should. Okay, cool. Do you throw or handbuilder? What?
Starting point is 00:26:44 I mostly throw. Okay, amazing. Are you handbuilder? Both. Both. Oh my God. She's so good. I love.
Starting point is 00:26:49 She's really good. Really? Wait, I want to see your stuff. Okay. I do want to see your stuff. That's so exciting. I love it so much. It's so fun.
Starting point is 00:26:57 There is a pottery studio that I go to that I, yeah, because I did in high school. I did a little bit in college, but mostly when I got to L.A., I was like, what's the cheapest fucking pottery class I could do? And the LACC offers. Fuck yeah. Pottery classes through their, like, summer programming. And so, or like, through, LACC extension, which they have all these fun classes you can take.
Starting point is 00:27:21 And so I signed up for the cheapest pottery class I could find in the city. It was at this place in Eagle Rock, Toros Pottery. It's this amazing, amazing man named Toros. He's just like wonderful sort of Armenian uncle vibe. And he is like an angel on this earth. And he has two cats that's, well, he now has one cat that's, I know, I know, sorry. Really devastating to do that. sorry
Starting point is 00:27:46 Huge of true Yeah I know I know And they sort of like roam around And he's he was like I was there my first year in L.A. when I was like
Starting point is 00:27:59 I don't even know how to be an actor in this town And he was like You're an actor I want your headshot Like I'm gonna put it on the wall And he like has my head shot on He's like he's so sweet Every time I go I visit him all the time Just because I am always an Eagle Rock
Starting point is 00:28:10 Get in Yogurtland And so I will come Or get in Foster's Free Grise. Gotta. Fosters freeze. Yeah. Freezer. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Raise them. Make them cold. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. On my foster. Preys your foster family. That's so so. I go and say hi all the time and he's like, I saw you in this.
Starting point is 00:28:30 That's so nice. Oh my God. That's so. He's literally like, he's literally like my L.A. uncle. I love people like that. You need to collect uncles. Yeah, we need to collect. We collect dads. We collect dads. So like every guy who's like even a year or more. older than us that we like trust and like we're like dad yeah but we should collect uncles because it is a different vibe yeah I do feel that I mean I also do feel that I have collected kind of in the same vein like a pottery uncle you do have a pottery uncle yeah the kiln the the kiln technician at my studio is very much so an uncle vibe and he loves to tell people like advice and he loves to be like oh let me tell you about my rough childhood do we think his age is? I'm guessing he's like 50s. Okay. I love him so much. Yeah. He's like a perfect
Starting point is 00:29:24 uncle age. You should put some of your pottery here. Oh, I thought you were going to say you should put him up here. You put him up here. Wait, we should collect him. Wait, we should put him up. Wait, we should put pictures of all our real uncles on the third shelf. Is your Piss Cup still here? I don't know. No, I think it's Cass's. I think Cass has it. Sid made a Piss Cup. Cup. Cup to Pissin. Awesome. And it's like a little white cup that has a fake post-it note that says Piss Cap. Awesome. I want to ask you a question. We were talking about it out there, and I do want to know more about this.
Starting point is 00:29:54 Okay. So you're the face of what? PetSmart. You're the face of PetSmart. Yeah. And does this hear? And I never talk about it. Holy shit.
Starting point is 00:30:07 Wait, when did this start? No. Do you, are you like the flow progressive of PetSmart? I'm their spokesperson, but the reason I never talk about it is because I don't want to be known as that. Yeah, of course. Well, you are not because I didn't know. No, nobody knows. And that's why it's a party trick.
Starting point is 00:30:27 That's why it's a party trick. Yeah, that's our most recent campaign store. I will say, I will say. That one, yeah. For some reason, my nostrils were flared the whole time. Did this on a broken ankle? Okay, so I had no idea this was one hour of silence. And keep this up.
Starting point is 00:30:44 Oh, perfect. Occasionally interrupted by Pickman. I love Pickman so much. Yeah, might as well. Keep it on. And then there'll probably be some ads. That's perfect. Yeah, I'll pause that.
Starting point is 00:30:53 Wait, so, okay, so you were saying that you, I'm sorry, you were saying something about having to deal with animals that were local to Arizona. So we shoot all our commercials in Arizona. And so we, and we use a lot of animals. Yeah. Of course. No shit. No fucking shit, idiot. No fucking shit.
Starting point is 00:31:11 No fucking shit. It's pet smart. I cry I'm sorry I got so intense there it's fine I did it in kind of the way of like well we're buddies but then I remember like we don't know each other that long I loved it I loved it okay you can beat the shit out of me
Starting point is 00:31:24 that's what we're trying to do we're trying to I'm trying to cultivate that taking a step too far and then realizing what the boundary is and then and that's always a good way to find a band I'm really sorry guys if I crossed a boundary I was kind of treating you like cousin vibes and we are so cousin coded I know guys are my cousins I wish you guys were my cousins so bad
Starting point is 00:31:42 Well, if we can collect uncles, we can collect cousins and now we're all cousins and we're on a trip with our family. I really wish you guys were my cousins. Like me too. Wait, should we cry? Yeah. Did you have your tear stick? I don't. I usually do it.
Starting point is 00:31:54 I can make myself cry, but sometimes if I say I can do it, then I can't. No, it's like you can. It's like you can do it. But if you get even for a second, if you get nervous that you're not going to do it, you're not going to do it. I had to do it for a shoot recently. Yeah. And coming or crying? Coming.
Starting point is 00:32:10 Yeah. Yeah. Coming out of me eyes. I had to cry. And the people at the shoot were just staring at me. And this was for PetSmart. Oh, of course. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:32:20 Just sob holding this dog. And everyone was staring at me and I was like, and then at one point, like, they were talking and someone laughed. And I go, well, it's over. Well, it's done. I'm not going to cry anymore. I can't do it. I had to leave the room.
Starting point is 00:32:33 And I was like, yeah. No, it's so funny because it's like there are certain scenes and certain things where you're like, okay, like I can totally lock in and cry here easy. And then there are things where it's like this is, like, we write a lot of stuff where it's like in the scene, something really silly happens. And then suddenly like one of us is in full tears. Love. And it's like, okay, well, yeah, we could traumatize ourselves for a second and like really lock in. But like it's a sketch and it's not supposed to be real.
Starting point is 00:32:59 Like, so tearstick is always a good backup. I should get a tear stick. It's a good backup because also if you, I've had a tearstick on set before and then been able to cry because the nerves weren't there because I knew I could if I couldn't get there by myself. That's why I can get it really, ultimately, because there's no backup option. It's a tear stick. Exactly. And then the nerves go down and then you can actually do it. It's just a time saver.
Starting point is 00:33:19 Yeah. It really is. Yeah. Especially for like comedy and even just like manipulating your boss. Even for just like manipulating your boss. There were a bunch of animals from Arizona. So yeah, we shoot them all in Arizona and we have to use trained animals. Right.
Starting point is 00:33:36 Because they have to like often enter on command. Yeah. Sit on command and be able to be. held. And it's so funny, it's like, you meet your friend's dog and you can hold it for like three hours and it's totally fun. You meet a trained animal. And it like can't do it. And it wants to kill you and it wants you dead. I once had to hold a cat, which I'm allergic to. Oh, Jesus Christ. And it was, his name was Tinkerbell and I think. And it I was, I was, it literally was like claws in me like, get away from me.
Starting point is 00:34:12 And we tried for like 45 minutes of me trying to do a 15 second spot of like I bet smart, but spend 15% like spend $15 and they didn't have another cat. You have to get multiple cats. It's slim pickings over in Arizona. And so what they did is they ended up just mixing the cat completely. Oh my gosh. Which was like, why could we have done this 35 minutes ago?
Starting point is 00:34:31 Yeah. But like I had claw marks on me. That's so funny though. The idea of like you with claw marks on you and no cat being like here at pet sport. Yeah. Just got absolutely threaded. My God, that's insane.
Starting point is 00:34:44 Just the idea of someone clearly injured doing an ad. Yeah. You're at Home Depot. I will say, though, this was a great shoot. We had great animals. I think we're getting better. Good. With the animals.
Starting point is 00:34:54 I love that this is a secret. Oh, I just don't talk about it. I'm, like, I'm obsessed with the fact that you have an alter ego who is the mascot of. Yeah. Because it's also, when I first saw you in this, I was like, like, that's not you. Great. That's someone else.
Starting point is 00:35:13 Perfect. But it like is you, obviously. But I was just like, no. No, there's no way. It's like, you know Natalie Palameda? Yes. Yeah, it's like she's progressive. She's, she's, she's the, in progressive and she is the things she does that aren't that are very different for this.
Starting point is 00:35:28 Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Very awesome. And I, I once, just this week, I was like, I went to UCB. And so it was like, Anna, how's it going? PetSmart girl? And I was like, that's, that's.
Starting point is 00:35:40 That's not my name. That's not my name. They're like, how's pets smart? And I'm like, I do so many other things. It is really crazy when you do a professional job and you realize that like actually everything is the same. It had a really good commercial. She had to eat burgers with chicken wire in them or something. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:35:59 I did a commercial once where they were like, it'll be funny because you're ugly and you eat burgers. The roles were for like, for like, for like average looking Midwestern. Bride. It was like mid Midwest Bridesmaid. It was like not flattering. And they were like, it's going to be so fucking hilarious because you're going to look fucking gaunt and disgusting and you're going to be eating all these fucking burgers. And they. I looked over in these two men who I can only describe as trolls, like love them so much. I'm sure they're excellent people. But when I saw them, they were hunched and had big long beards. And they were shoving fishing wire. No. Fish wires. In a burger. In like multiple burgers. Touching it.
Starting point is 00:36:44 Touching them and shoving wire in and being like... And then giving them to me and being like, eat, eat. But then they also, they did that thing where they're like, oh, well, you can spit after you don't have to swallow, but then they hold on you for so long where it's like, of course I can't chew the whole time. And there's a thing in the burger holding it together and I'm just eating around wire. And I was a vegetarian at the time. And they didn't.
Starting point is 00:37:09 And they were like, this is perfect. And they were chewing real meat. I was chewing real meat and swallowing it. Yeah, because they were holding on it for so long. She couldn't spit it out. Yeah, I swallow meat. And then for lunch, it was burgers. No.
Starting point is 00:37:25 Yeah, from a different place. What company was this? Toyota. No. Yeah. You were eating burgers for a Toyota commercial. Yeah, in a Toyota, to be fair. Sure.
Starting point is 00:37:37 Do you have like an audition or like a commercial audition specifically that you've ever been like, there's no fucking way you're making me do that? Our friend. Oh my gosh. Our friend always tells us the story about how he had a commercial audition where it was like, what you're going to do is you're going to, it's a self-tape, you're going to stand in a shower, make the shower run on you while you're fully clothed and sob. No. And they were like, and do that or else there's no chance you get this. There must have been enough of those in a row for me because I just stopped doing them. Yep.
Starting point is 00:38:11 As a commercial self tape is like get on your hands and knees and pant like a dog. It is crazy. It's what some things will be like. They'll be like, well, obviously you'll do this. Obviously. Yeah. Yeah. I think it was one point I'd like reconstruct my whole living room to sort of look like it looked like a car because they were like you can't film in a car.
Starting point is 00:38:29 But we want us because we want to have natural light. We want you to have studio light. And it was like, and I think I was like, this is it. Then call me in. Yeah, they call me in. Call me in and have it set up that way. I was so confused. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:38:41 Yeah. I'm trying to think of if there's been a horror story one. I mean, sometimes it's just the description. Sometimes you just see like, oh, we're looking for like the amount of times I've seen something where I'm like, oh, I don't want to audition for this because you just insulted me. Yeah. No. Normal to plane. Eccentric.
Starting point is 00:38:59 Something about them's different. Yeah. But you can't quite place what? Not quite pretty. Yeah. Yeah. I get those. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:39:06 I get those too. Yeah. It's like, it's like not traditionally attractive. Exactly. But maybe inviting or warm. Okay. It's like maybe inviting or warm. Maybe.
Starting point is 00:39:17 Yeah. Yeah. You know, it's interesting. It's interesting and gender wise too because I do feel like they're trying to write those in a slightly less mean way. Like when I was a kid and I would audition, I would be like, fat kid. fucking awkward fat fat and absolutely overweight could never be cute not the cute one and then i would get that and now it's like you know like curvier like you know what i mean or like she's like not
Starting point is 00:39:50 traditional but with guys i think they're still kind of doing it because my my boyfriend got an audition that was like john wayne gasey if he was fatter then he got another audition that was like um And he's not. Also, he's not, like, he doesn't match the type, which is also like, also like, no matter what the type is, don't say that. That's not nice. And there was another one that was like, this is a guy you wouldn't let alone with your goldfish. He's the greasiest, leasedest, yuckiest guy you've ever seen. And he makes you get chills. He's so yucky. Like, what would he do with your goldfish? I don't know. And I don't think that's going to eat it as I don't think that's a phrase anyone uses.
Starting point is 00:40:34 I bet you that the first draft of that thing was like a type of guy you wouldn't leave alone with your daughter. Yeah. Somebody was like, you can't say that. Let's say gold thing. Yeah. It'll be like slimy, greasy grease pot. Disgusting little pervert. Probably a fucking freak pedophile pervert.
Starting point is 00:40:52 And it's like, guys, that's not very nice either. I had a long swing. Right. I had a long swing where I was only getting auditions that was like Jew. You had your, yes, I remember that. Jew straight out of Jew town. Big nose, asshole Jew. Your famous phone call.
Starting point is 00:41:12 But I did have a lot of descriptions that were like Jew, Jew, kind of like a Jew vibe. I can attest to this. I was there. I also did have a callback with a casting director who said, you're perfect for this because you're like pretty. Sorry, you're not pretty, but you're like Jewish pretty. No. Awesome. Really awesome stuff. I I feel lucky enough where I'm at a place in my career with if shit like that happens to me, I will call them out. Yeah. I'm not at that place. If someone disrespects me like that. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:41:47 I'm kind of at a place in life where I go, yeah, for sure. Yeah. Maybe with your freaking drug. Yeah, I go, yeah, probably for sure. I hate it. I hate it. Because I think that everything has become so commodified in this industry anyway. And so it's like, I don't know. We're getting taken advantage of left and fucking. Yeah. Well, yeah, because they're always like, well, somebody will want it more. Of course. Of course.
Starting point is 00:42:08 And they will. The vibe on set, and luckily PetSmart is like its own thing now, which is great. But like when I was doing commercials pre-PetSmart, the vibe, I think the pandemic did this, but it has shifted from like, like, when I did my first ever national commercial, I had my own fucking little trailer. I like had a designated chair on set. It was a Tim and Eric commercial. Like I was like, it was so, it was great. I was treated so well. And then the next couple commercials I did after that, I was like, this is awesome.
Starting point is 00:42:35 Pandemic happens. The energy really shifted from, we're so lucky to have you to you. You're so lucky to be here. Yeah. And they don't even give you chairs anymore. Yeah. Like, it's cruel. You sit on the ground.
Starting point is 00:42:46 I literally am sitting on equipment and then the grip is like, I need that. I'm like, I'm so sorry. It is interesting how like the second any type of a system realizes they can treat people worse, they just will. They do. They're like, wait, wait, wait, we can pay you less. Oh my God. Go fuck yourself. Have you seen the love sack?
Starting point is 00:43:00 drama? I'm sorry? I feel like I've met. Is LoveSack balls? But I don't, no, no, no. Love Sacks a chair company, right? Don't you wish you could just hit skip on the worst parts of your life? You know, the same way you can skip an ad? I get it. I'm Siaia and I live in Ice Cove. I've made some questionable decisions that didn't end up the way I planned. And today I'm still figuring it out. Somehow things usually get worse before they get better. Apparently, that's how I roll. So bundle up and come along for the bumpy ride. Don't miss the new season of North of North starting September 8th on CBC Gem.
Starting point is 00:43:38 The chair company. Love sack. Love sack. Love sack sounds like it would be bald. No, no. You don't need to Google the drama. I'm going to explain it. Okay.
Starting point is 00:43:46 So. Wait, what is it? It's a big couch. Just Google Love Sack. It's a couch? Just Google Lovsack. There's a couch. It's a couch with a name that sounds like this.
Starting point is 00:43:56 They also have these bean bags. Why are they putting kids in the love sack? I don't know. hate this. I literally hate this. Love sack is a horrible name. Go to their couch. They started with the beanbag. They started with the beanbag. That's why it was Love sack. Because it's a sack. Who approved
Starting point is 00:44:12 of this name? Love sack. Their old companies before things like this were like not okay. Before sack was balls? There's no way. That's a love sack. That's a normal couch. Yeah, that should just be called normal couch. That should be called normal couch style. Couch. Guys, I'm so against this, but continue. This guy, Derek, I think, ordered a love sack couch.
Starting point is 00:44:34 It's like a, I think it was like a $7,000 couch or something like that. They cost $7,000 and their brand name is... But their brand name is... Love sack. I know, I know. I don't think it's normal. I've just heard it. Maybe it wasn't 7,000...
Starting point is 00:44:50 Oh, yeah, Sactionals. And it's spelled wrong? Huge saxional. So these couches... This is stupid. He orders one. They send it to him in like 40 separate packages. You have to build the couch by hand.
Starting point is 00:45:08 Over time. Over? Oh, because it's a sectional. So everything, it's like modular. So he has to in hand, bit by bit, build this huge fucking couch. And it's like truly 40 pieces. He's attaching the legs. He's put it.
Starting point is 00:45:22 He's upholstering like everything. Like he, it's like a backward scavenging. hunter hunt. I'm gonna be real. I love putting furniture together. He should have called me. I do too. I would have gotten a little bit hard and I would have crushed it. Oh my God. Putting danger a shelf is like like Nirvana for me. I literally love it. But on the flip side of that coin it's like they've realized that they can ship you and not do the work. Yeah. They like they've realized that they don't have to like it's just so late stage capitalism where it's like we don't have to get someone to we don't to build the couch. We can just make all the pieces and we never have to fucking make a couch again.
Starting point is 00:45:58 We can make the consumers do that later. And so that's... And we can charge them more and we can not pay them livable wages. It's insane. Yeah. It's good. Yeah, it's the craziest thing. Yeah. It's like it's that that that is insane love sack drama. Yeah, that like that like, that like, that like, that like third one there, I think is like round what he got. Oh, Jesus. Wow. So I guess don't buy that. Don't buy that. No. And then Love Sack then released a video being like, it's so easy even a woman can do it. I'm sorry? No fucking way. I'm sorry?
Starting point is 00:46:29 They were like, here's how we're going to handle this guy literally like shitting on our company. We're going to show a woman doing it being like, look, I'm not even wearing gloves. This isn't even hard. It isn't even hard. To assemble myself. Exactly. And then the comments were all like, so you guys are saying it's so easy.
Starting point is 00:46:46 A woman can do it. And then the CEO like did a self-facing video being like, hey guys, we hear you. which is always just like Hey I'm sorry when yes that is what we were saying I love But now that you guys don't like it I think we'll take it back
Starting point is 00:47:01 I love a mid-level drama apology Like when it's something really bad Or really sad or like really fucked up It's like oh god It's not fun right now But like when it's something like that Or it's like this is all just messy
Starting point is 00:47:13 and bad and weird And it's clear that like you guys suck But like there's nothing like devastating No And I'm like I don't even buy a love sack out We're not seeing human rights violations and someone's like, hey guys, we've been really listening. It's like so funny.
Starting point is 00:47:27 We heard you. The company loves Sack. We hurt you and the couch comes in too many boxes. Love Sack. It's so easy. Even a woman can do it. Yeah. Yeah, he was like, that's our bad.
Starting point is 00:47:37 That's our bad. We should have gotten a man to do it. It would have been better. What else do you look for in a friendship? I look for, I was just having this conversation the other day. Oh my God. As I love talking about this stuff. This is perfect.
Starting point is 00:47:50 I love it. Yeah. And I think that. I also like, I had a weird like figuring myself out for a while. And now I think I've ended up with like the greatest friends of the whole world. And so I, including us, including my cousins. Including your two cousins who you rarely see but are related to and therefore it's like family. I love and I watch you guys play video games. No, you're my family now. But I think that like, and I think loyalty is a really big one. I think like yeah, the showing up repeatedly. I'm Italian. So I'll kill
Starting point is 00:48:21 your enemy. A quarter Italians. Are you full Italian? No, I'm quarter. We're both quarter Italian. But it takes over. I'm Italian and Irish. And German.
Starting point is 00:48:32 She doesn't say that one. Yeah, I don't say it because it's the scariest one. Of course. I pretend Italian's the scariest one, but it's not. It's not. It's not. Of course, German is. But that's the German part of me that hides the German because it's scarier if you
Starting point is 00:48:43 have a hidden weapon. Yeah. Yeah. Your hidden weapon is that you're German? Well, that part of me, the part that's like, I cut you off, I never fucking talk to you again, you fucking because Italian is like I'll fucking
Starting point is 00:48:55 I'll kill your family Irish is like I'll drink myself to death and beat you up and obviously I've never done any of those things I've never beaten anyone up I've never killed anyone else I've never beaten anyone up and I've never gotten beat up
Starting point is 00:49:07 but I've always wanted both I've gotten beaten up once You have? Yeah when I was a kid by a boy Wow! It felt weird It was really unexpected
Starting point is 00:49:16 Did he was he like throwing Like boom boom boom boom boom boom in my stomach Oh And anyone touched my stomach? Why would anyone do that? Because he was putting poison in his shirt and I was trying to stop him. And he had some issues. He was like a person who was a person with some issues.
Starting point is 00:49:32 He had some develop. He was, he had anger issues. Yeah. He was trying to put snail poison. There's always a kid in element with horrible anger issues. Horrible. Oh, yeah. He was trying to put snail poison in his shirt and I was like, that's snail poison.
Starting point is 00:49:42 He wouldn't listen to me. So I tried to take it out. And then I ran away from home on a scooter because I was so upset. I would have been upset. I would have been upset And then that kid was like Where'd Olivia go? I feel like
Starting point is 00:49:54 Where is she? I miss her Oh Tough. Strange. Yeah, strange I'm running away on a scooter My friend
Starting point is 00:50:01 You had a scooter to run away on? Yeah. Awesome. Oh. Did I have a razor scooter? At one point we did. It was like one of those janky razorses. I love those.
Starting point is 00:50:08 Bound down the street. Went like a like a full freeway exit. Did you have Helies? No, my parents wouldn't let me. Same. We got to get you guys both helies. I'm, my goal for her.
Starting point is 00:50:20 adulthood is I am going to get Healy. So here's my thing is that I've broken three bones in the past five years. So we're not going to get three bones right now. Oh, I just keep doing it. Which bone? Why? Which bones? Oh, don't worry about it.
Starting point is 00:50:31 I just keep doing it. It actually past four years. Right? Anchor. Encle? ankle. Fifth metatarsal on my right foot. Iconic.
Starting point is 00:50:40 Broke on set. Huge. Torn meniscus. Fall rock climbing. Hate. Rock climb? East to. I love rock.
Starting point is 00:50:49 I love it. I love it. I miss it every day. Not doing it again because I injured myself. And I was diagnosed by two doctors with a meniscus tear. And they were like, you need surgery. And this one doctor in brother was like, you need surgery. We'll get you in next week. And I was like, hey, perfect. He went in. There was no meniscus tear. He gave me surgery for nothing. It fucked in my body. It gave me this like edema in my knee. Anyway, that happened. And then I don't trust any doctors in L.A. anymore, by the way. That's like a hill. I'm sort of willing to die. That's okay. And then I broke my ankle in April.
Starting point is 00:51:18 Damn. What? Going down the stairs. Yeah. It's hard. Just walking them down. I broke my tibia and fibula going down a bouncy slide when I was in fifth grade. It's hard. I wish I'd broken my bones when I was a little, but instead I'm getting it all out now. Get it out. But then, yeah, maybe you should get helies and then you can break a couple more. Yeah, if you're getting it out. That's why I want helies so bad, but I can't. Well, I feel like we have the loyalty thing. Yeah. We can totally do that. Yeah, we're terrifying. We can totally. What do you mean the loyalty? Oh, yeah. We are loyal. Sorry, I'm jumping back. We will lock in. I feel like, I feel like we can definitely do that. I will be loyal to an extent that it harms me.
Starting point is 00:51:50 Oh, I love that though. Yeah. But like, I like that about myself. I don't want to change that. Yeah. As long as it's for a good person. I'm trying to think of what are the other. Okay, so wait.
Starting point is 00:51:59 Loyalty. Loyalty. Inconsistent. Yeah. Fun? Funny. Fun and funny. Fun and funny is pretty huge.
Starting point is 00:52:07 Yeah. Bits is huge, I think. Yeah. Bits is huge. Yeah. Well, do you have openings right now? For friends? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:52:14 I have a couple openings for friends. Okay. Okay. Great. Great. I do. I think it's because I like, really had the net really so big and then the past few years have been like really focusing on
Starting point is 00:52:26 the people that feel are really fully aligned. Yeah, that is aging. I think that is. I love it. Well, I love it. And it's also that thing where it's like there are people that I'm like, oh, these were maybe, maybe more peripheral friends or friends I was closer with when I was younger, but like I still know them and I still would be so excited to see them.
Starting point is 00:52:43 But it's just like there are certain people that I'm like, okay, these are my like, these are my, I talk to them everyday people. I don't talk to anyone every day. I don't talk to anyone every day. But yeah, like these are my like consistent people. But I love people. I do, too. I love friends.
Starting point is 00:52:59 I love friendship. I love friends. I love connecting with people. On my 30th birthday, which was November. Fifth day. Thank you. That was months and months. Late.
Starting point is 00:53:08 Late birthday. Late late late late late. Super belated. But went to Idol Wild with my six best friends and two of them flew in from New York to do it. And it was just like that. Where did you go? And Ida Wild? Yeah, where?
Starting point is 00:53:21 We, okay, you've been? Because it's my favorite. Have you been to Hicksville Pines? Okay, because I, because I've been multiple times. So for, since 30th birthday, we all did the same. That's why I'm having a great an aneurysm. We went to Idaho Wild for my 30th birthday. What the fuck?
Starting point is 00:53:38 Yeah. We went to Hicksville Pines. You got to go to, which is it a rest of a, it's an inn. It's the best place you'll ever go. Oh, because I always love it. I've run. did a big ass cabin. This is better. But I mean, that's great.
Starting point is 00:53:51 This is better. It's like a bunch of separate little tiny houses. Oh my God. Cabins. No. I love a theme. So they give you weed when you check in. No. Oh, I've driven by these. I know exactly what's hard. They give you weed when you check in. There's every single cabin is a different theme. Yeah, I've driven by these many times. And then
Starting point is 00:54:07 it's like they have cats on the property that you can hang out with. They have a 24-hour game room that you can go into anytime you can like smoke and drink in the game room. It's huge. They have like everything. So there'll be other people kind of staying at the place while you're there with your friends, unless you rent out the whole place, which we didn't do. But it is possible. Fun because you get to meet these other people who would also want to stay in a place like that.
Starting point is 00:54:31 Yeah. Meaning on some level you're aligned. Yeah. There's like people from the Renfair. Although one time I went there and the proud boys were there, which I did not like. Okay. So I would say in that. At Hicksville Pines.
Starting point is 00:54:40 In that situation, you're not. You're not aligned. Yeah, I know, right? You're not aligned in that sense. Sorry. You guys. Yay. You guys. In that sense, I would say you're not quite aligned. I was scared, I'll say.
Starting point is 00:54:53 But when we went for my birthday, we were in the communal room where everybody's playing like arcade games and like smoking and whatever. And I was high out of my mind. We were doing arts and crafts. Oh, yeah, because I themed it like childhood. So we had a bunch of clay and construction paper and one of those big parachutes. And we were just having like a little kid time. And we were like on drugs. On drugs. and I was so high and this woman was like, I want to give you clothes and furniture. Huge.
Starting point is 00:55:23 She was like, I have clothes and furniture in the back of my car. No. I'm going to give it to you. And I was like, I love that. And I think we were both really high. Yeah. And she was like, I love that. And she was like, I feel a connection with you.
Starting point is 00:55:33 I was like, I feel it. I love it. I'm ready for my clothes and my furniture. She left. I never saw her again. That's awesome. And now here's what I like. I never saw that.
Starting point is 00:55:43 So that might not have happened. No. If I never saw it, maybe it's not real. No, but like, that would be crazy. There was another time I was super high in a grocery store. You hallucinated a woman. January 14th. January 14th.
Starting point is 00:55:56 You're November what? 29th. So you're a saggary. Yeah. Sadge. Yeah. And you're a Capricorn. What are your big three?
Starting point is 00:56:06 I am a Sagittarius, cancer-rising Pisces Moon. Okay. We both have cancer. I love being cancer. Yeah. having cancer in my big three. I love cancers in general. I love having cancer.
Starting point is 00:56:19 In my big three. In my big three. Wait, when's your birthday? April 23rd. I'm a Taurus. You're a Taurus. On the cusp of Aries with a Scorpio rising and a cancer man. Wow.
Starting point is 00:56:31 Okay, cool. So whatever the fuck that means. I'm processing it. Yeah. Yeah. I've gotten worried to me lately. But yeah, you've got to take a friend group to Hicksville Pine slash we can take you and we'll go.
Starting point is 00:56:41 Bring your friends. We'll bring our friends. Oh, that would be cute. And we can, and yeah, there's a, there's a, never mind. No. There's a dolly partner room and it's really, really good. That's amazing. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:56:51 It's just sad, but it is. Yeah. Can you imagine if I didn't know? And I was like, why? Why? Why is it sad? No, that is the room I stayed in and I will say it is excellent. They have a bunch of like her records and like a record player.
Starting point is 00:57:04 They have a bunch of like memorabilia of hers and they also have like a wooden tub. Yeah. I fuck with the Dita Vanty's room a lot. What is that? Oh, Dita Vanty's. She's like a... She's like a... She's like a...
Starting point is 00:57:17 A burlesque performer. Awesome. And also the... And she's ageless as well. She is. And then there's like a room with just a bunch of video game arcade games in it.
Starting point is 00:57:29 That's what I'm going to actually need to be it. So anyway, I rarely go off topic. Uh-huh. And I rarely interrupt the conversation. Of course. But I needed to tell you about text. This is fantastic. Okay, this is fantastic.
Starting point is 00:57:41 I really... The cabin we stayed in was like... Like, if I could stay there every single time I would, it was so amazing. And there was like a creek in the backyard. And you could walk into town. Yes. Oh, no, no, we drove home. I'm always trying to walk into town no matter where I stay.
Starting point is 00:57:57 But this place seems like a... You get one DD. And then they drive you into town. I see. Yeah, yeah. I can be the DD. No, no, no. Or we can...
Starting point is 00:58:06 We'll hire one. No, no. We'll hire a DC. We'll task grab at a D. We'll get really rich and then we'll task grab at a D.D. No, no. I bet that's been done before. Yeah, it should be. I was going to be like, it should be an app. It's Lyft, Uber. It's called Lyft. Oh my God, you're right. I was like, I was like getting a TV, like getting a. When you had an idea, I literally was like, you're like, yeah, like an app where you like get a designated driver. I'm going to. Lyft. I'm going to live for this. No, I literally like, you just crack the code. I'm going to K my S. I'm going to K my S. It's for real, for real. Lyft Uber vibe.
Starting point is 00:58:44 So that would be called Uber. Anyway, what were other people's on? You have a podcast that's not a real podcast. Oh, I love it. Do you tell people it's not a real podcast, or is that, like, the big secret? People are like, what is it? And I'm like, I don't know. I have no clue.
Starting point is 00:59:00 I don't know. I don't know. Because, like, it's so genius because people don't actually listen to podcasts. They just watch clips. They watch clips. Yeah. That's why we did it. That's so genius.
Starting point is 00:59:11 Because we were like, yeah, I had the idea. of it being like an art perform, like a performance. Yeah, it is. Where we're making clips for the sake of making clips, but we're also mocking the like sort of endless slob. You're doing every podcast trope and you're taking it and making it like you're doing a bit on every podcast clip trope. And I haven't seen one that I don't fucking love.
Starting point is 00:59:33 Thank you so much. That's so nice. It's with Nabil, who is like my best friend. He's the greatest. We, yeah, we love doing it so much. It's like our baby And everyone's always like Either people are so
Starting point is 00:59:47 Because we love finding New people to like be like What is this? Because then the people that have been here Or that have seen like we Yeah yeah yeah Like the audience can like play along Can play along?
Starting point is 00:59:57 Yeah I love with that People will be like Where can I find this podcast And people are like It's on YouTube People like it's on Spotify And they're like I can't find it And then we'll be like keep looking
Starting point is 01:00:04 It's wherever you get your podcasts of course Exactly Yeah it's everywhere you get podcasts Of course Yeah And we spent Nibiel and I maybe spent like 20 hours landing on a name because we originally were going to just be bait
Starting point is 01:00:17 and then Riz Ahmed created a show called Bate and we're like we can't be baited. No, take the bait is great. Thank you. It's really great. That's really good. Okay. Rage baiting or queer baiting. What?
Starting point is 01:00:29 Bating. Yeah. Wait. Wait. What are we picking about? Okay. I'm trying to think of things that have the word bait in them. Okay.
Starting point is 01:00:39 Rage baiting always. Jail bait or Jason Bateman? Ooh. Wait, what's jailbate again? It's an underage person that you shouldn't hook up with. Jason Bateman? Yes. You guys got both right. You got both right. Oh my God. This is awesome. Wait, this kid. I'm scared of this time.
Starting point is 01:01:00 Just giving one normal answer and one awful answer. I'm like, which one? I love this game. It's easy. Yeah, it's the easiest. It should be. It should be. I'm trying to think of other words. with bait in them. Bate shop? Debate. Or debate?
Starting point is 01:01:16 No, see, those are two normal things. No, we can save debate for a... Yeah. Bate shop or... Bate shop. Or... Or chatterbate. What's that?
Starting point is 01:01:24 That's a... You guys don't know where chatterbate is? No. That's a porn site. It is? Yeah. I don't really... I don't really...
Starting point is 01:01:32 I mean, I'm not really in my porn era right now, but it is a... I'll explore. I don't know. I explore. I used to be... I used to be like... Like, sometimes I explore. I used to be an explorer.
Starting point is 01:01:44 And now I just feel like everything I know. Yeah. Everything I know that's going to. This to be, and this is a big statement. And I really feel like I could get. I don't know. I don't know. This is a big statement.
Starting point is 01:01:59 Same. You can always cut it. It's more creative in here. Agree. Than in here. Agree. I'm using my freaking mind palace. I'm coming up with shit.
Starting point is 01:02:05 I'm coming up with shit. And this wasn't always the case. I needed a lot of inspo at first. But now I feel like I've gotten an appropriate of my of inspo and I'm coming up with shit that I can't find on this. And you say you can find porn for everything, but I'm coming up with shit that's more better. I'm like, can you find porn where they're in love? Yeah, can you find porn where it's, uh, riddle me there. Sorry, I'm not feeling the genuine connection in this porn, but up here, oh, it's there. That's so good. Riddle me this. Are
Starting point is 01:02:29 these people in love? That's awesome. Yeah. No, but Chatterby, I don't know if it's like a can, I've never, I don't think I've ever been on it, but I've seen it and I've heard people talk about it. I don't know if it's a, like, as far as the. As far as the. As the. As far as the. As far as the thing of like, you know, watching your stories or having your stories in your mind, I feel like I already don't get paid to be a writer all the time. You don't want to do any unpaid labor. I don't want to do more unpaid writing in my head. I see what you mean. I don't need to come up with any.
Starting point is 01:03:02 No, that's my meantime. That's fair. That's fair. I have to chill. You are not trying to do any labor. No. I totally get it. I think I respect that so much.
Starting point is 01:03:09 I want to chill out. No, I respect that. Someone else do the work. Absolutely. I don't need to come up with scenarios. No, yeah. Yeah. If it's not, no, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:03:19 I think it's hard because I come from a like, if I, I can do it better if I do it myself mentality. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I'm like, I'm going to do it myself. Yeah. It's not a bad mentality. No.
Starting point is 01:03:27 No, it's also a good argument for masturbation. It's the best argument. It is. It is. Yeah. So what do you think? Do you think we're friends now? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:03:37 Okay, great. I think so. I think so. I think we should probably all go hang out at some point soon. What do you think we get food? What do you think we're going to do together that's going to be a friend thing? Well, okay, so here's my thing is like, we wanted to be the three of us. Hopefully.
Starting point is 01:03:48 Okay, great. Did you want to just pick one? Because if you do, sometimes. I was saying, like, you guys are clearly best friends. Sometimes people at the end of this, do you need to pick one of us? No, no. Okay, great, great, great, great, great. Good. We were our third.
Starting point is 01:04:00 Yeah, talking about. No, we don't want a fourth. And we're kind of like one, sort of. And then you guys are kind of like one. And then we are going to find everything that we have in common. And I'm sure there's a lot because we have a lot in common. I guarantee you guys just have so many idiosyncrasies in common. And I personally find that delightful.
Starting point is 01:04:20 Yeah. Because God just better for me to just more for me. More for me. More for me. Hungry, hungry over there. Hungry, hungry. I'm going to just keep saying Sutney and you're going to keep doing the Ariana Grande rib.
Starting point is 01:04:32 Um, num, num, more for me. Sutney, more for me. Sutney, Sutney. And we'll all be at a restaurant. Huh? Yeah. Well, what? we'll all be at a restaurant doing that
Starting point is 01:04:41 at each other. I said not to a cousin trip. I think that restaurant is perfect. Yeah. I do love to get a drink. I'm obsessed with getting a drink. I like that idea. I love to get a drink. I think we should do that. And I think we should sit at an outdoor place and snacks. Like a fun little cute vibe. That's the thing is I'm very, I'm very vibe forward.
Starting point is 01:04:59 Me too. Going out. I just like a vibe. I like a fun vibe. Yeah. And I like something salty I can nibble my bits on. Yeah, you got to nibble your bits. I'm really in a tiki bar. Yeah, I love that shit I said I like a salty thing I can nibble my bits on
Starting point is 01:05:14 and then Cass looked at me like this and then said wrap it up Okay, that's awesome So let's wrap it up so that Sid can nibble her salty bits Um Anna For the Cucks that don't know
