Starting point is 00:00:00 So this man abandoned his family. He really did. He quite, um, he, yeah, he did abandon my family. And then afterwards he decided to get into break dancing. And the worst part is he got really good for his age. Can I, can I say, you turned out so impeccably normal. That is one of the takeaways I had from the show. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:00:27 Yeah, this is him. This is my dad. He's so, um... Like, you did... Like, this is crazy. This is insane behavior. Why? How's that?
Starting point is 00:00:48 I left my soundbox in my car. Bless you. So we're, we have the one soundbox today. And we have another soundbox over there. And then we have the soundbox of cast sneezing. One more time. Oh, John sneezing one more time. Roll it back.
Starting point is 00:00:59 Go back. That's not a sneeze, but it's something. Um, uh, oh, welcome to Sidney Olivia Talks. Oh, God. Yeah. I'm the Sudwin. I'm the Olivia one. Today we have a very special other one.
Starting point is 00:01:07 I think we should just bring her in immediately. Oh, let's fucking do it. Today we have a very special other one. You know this person from the Big Bad Web. The Big Bad Web. You know this person from maybe you saw their live show, which was excellent. And we saw it. We'll talk about that.
Starting point is 00:01:22 Maybe you see this person in your dreams. Yeah. Maybe you see this person in your dreams. Yeah. Maybe you see them in your nightmares. Oh, wow. It's Maddie Hart. Yay.
Starting point is 00:01:33 What's up? Beautiful. Commit to that. I love when someone has a theme song. Yeah. That's like my theme song is like, I'm all. always doing that. I love that. If you, yeah, if you had to enter rooms with a theme song. Yeah. What would it be? And it can be that short. Yeah. It should be that. Like I'm making up one or is it like
Starting point is 00:01:52 a walk-on song? It's a jingle at place every time you enter the room. Yeah. Okay, go, I'm walking into the room. Everyone, look at me now. That's gorgeous. That's simple. That's short. What about you guys? I would say, sorry to disturb it's sud. Nice. That's really good. Sorry to disturb. I'm catchy. Mine would be like, I'm so sorry it was the traffic, can I go to the bathroom? Right, because you'd be late and then you're like, can I go to the back? And you haven't peed yet. You're late and you haven't peed yet. I think every 15 seconds.
Starting point is 00:02:25 Oh, have you gotten that checked out? I'm on a waiting list for a doctor. You know it. America's so awesome. I know. I'm like, I have a doctor's appointment, but I'm waiting for it. I had a referral retracted. Oh, everything. Wait, everything. What kind of referral to your dermatologist?
Starting point is 00:02:45 Fuck. I get these crazy bumps on my skin. Sid goes like lizard mode sometimes. I go liver mode. Is it like eczema? No, it's actually more lizard than that. I think it's heat rash. Yes. I think it's heat rash. For summers and like I'll be in the sun and then for like weeks afterwards, I'll have these crazy lifted bumps on my hands especially and all over my arms. Dude, this is really crazy. You might be like kind of allergic to the sun. They're like itchy too, right? I think I kind of am.
Starting point is 00:03:12 Yeah, they're itchy and, well, they didn't used to be so bad, and now they're kind of like itchy and weird. I hate that. And so I took a picture of... I got them in Greece. I got them in Greece the first time. And I took a picture... Like, we share skin, I'm sorry. We share my hand.
Starting point is 00:03:24 That's awesome. Our hand got them. I took a picture of my hand and I sent it to the doctor. I've been trying to get a dermatologist referral for a long time now. That would be two years. That would be two years? No! Finally, I got a call with a doctor where I was explaining to them what the deal is.
Starting point is 00:03:38 And I was like, can I get a dermatologist referral for? They were like, of course. Then I got a voicemail from them being like, hey, it's that doctor from a couple days ago. Remember how I said we're going to give you a dermatologist referral? I feel like no. Why? Why? Why?
Starting point is 00:03:52 Why? Why? Why? He was like, well, I would love to see what the bumps look like right now. And I was like, and then I emailed and I was like, I'm sorry. I think there's a miscommunication. Like, I don't have the bumps right now. They happen like.
Starting point is 00:04:05 Sometimes. Sometimes. And then he was like, because they're not happening right now, you can go. You're kidding. America is so awesome for that. Literally the hottest club you will never get into is the doctor's office. It's a hundred percent true. It's America's hottest club is the doctor's office.
Starting point is 00:04:20 It's got help. End of list. It's literally like our Bergheim. Are you guys on the side of TikTok where they're like what I wore it to get into what I wore and I didn't get in. Isn't Bergheim the thing in Berlin where you can, I haven't seen this on TikTok, but I have heard this on podcasts. of people talking about going and like some random people will just be having sex in the corner of the room.
Starting point is 00:04:44 Yes, yes, yes. Bergheim. So basically it's like, um. German sex club? Yes, it's an iconic, iconic, like huge club or whatever. It's the type like you're not allowed to bring a phone in or something. Like you shouldn't. Yeah, exactly.
Starting point is 00:04:54 And it's like crazy, crazy club. And sex can happen. It's optional. Yeah. It's sex optional. I think I honestly don't know enough, but it's like a queer, it's a queer demographic. I don't know if it's queer specifically, but it is like a. Yeah, and there's like kink there. You can have sex there. And it's the hottest club and it's notoriously impossible to get into, but it is not more impossible to get into than an American doctor's office.
Starting point is 00:05:19 No, that's true. That's true. And Berlin is like that too where it's like very much so like you can have sex in public in Berlin. Yeah, you told me that. That's cool. I was in Berlin and there was like. I was having sex and I was having sex and I was in public. And then I realized. People are looking at me. I'm in nothing and nothing bad. I was in Berlin during pride, not this year. But. like a few years ago and it was lovely yeah and there was like a huge like I know they have like kind of the equivalent of like a central park and I saw these two gorgeous men just having a lovely intimate time that's gorgeous and they were both bald and I kind of had this thought of like well this is beautiful yeah might as well um and like the world is gorgeous and healing and then I went to a coffee shop and I was like quick question is sex and public legal here and they're like yeah and I was like love that is so interesting wow that is so interesting the world is healing in Berlin. Looking at our own purity culture. Are you guys, I'm forgetting and forgive me, are you guys
Starting point is 00:06:13 LGBTQ plus at all? Yeah. We buy over here. Yes. Yeah. Cool. Like if you dev be in that. I would say that like, I'm not 100% straight, but I'm not anything enough to put myself at the center of it. To claim. Girl, that's gorgeous of you. Like, I'm not going to center myself in any of it. You are so awesome for that. But I am going to be like, t-he-he-he-he-a-a-a-a- little bit over there. You know what I mean? You, there are people who are less queer than you who are centering themselves. I have other things I can center right. Yes, yes, yes. I'm mentally ill.
Starting point is 00:06:44 Girl, you got it. It's so funny, though, because I totally get that, totally get that. I think that's valid, period. It's so funny, though, because specifically women will basically say the gayest thing you've ever heard and then be like, but I'm not bisexual. I'm not going to label myself bisexual. I recently got lunch with somebody and I don't know. We were talking about stuff.
Starting point is 00:07:05 and I was, and I don't know, being queer came up or whatever, because it was a conversation with me where I was probably talking about being gay. And I'm like, I don't know how it came up. I was probably bragging about the fact I have an awesome girlfriend. But she was like, no, no, no, like I'm straight. Like, I would never claim that I'm queer. Like, I would never claim that. I mean, have I had sex with women? Yes.
Starting point is 00:07:24 Yeah. Do I have crushes on women all the time? Of course. They're perfect. But I would never center myself in that. I would never want to take up space in that way. And I'm like, that is so beautiful. And only a woman would be.
Starting point is 00:07:35 like, yes, you know, but I'm never going to center myself. I'm never going to take up space. If a guy was the same, was doing the same thing, it would be because he was like, I don't want to see you. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, exactly. And that's me generalizing, of course. Of course. Yeah, I think it's more for me, I feel like I will be very chill about romantic endeavors publicly because I just don't want anyone to judge me or a person.
Starting point is 00:08:05 partner. And the more people know about you. And the more people, the more anyone is like, well, I actually know this situation. I'm like, but then it's not for me. Oh, that's beautiful. It's more fun if it's for me. Yeah. Oh, that's so fair. And I feel like we've both learned that. Yes. I don't think we went into it being like, I think we both separately at different times in our lives learned. Damn. Have you guys had public breakups? You kind of have. I guess I have. I've had, I guess I've had two like really public relationships. Damn, like you're posting together or what? Constantly.
Starting point is 00:08:37 Totally. And then I've had, yeah. Like, I've had like some semi, you know, like, oh, yeah, but like I'm not. But I've had two like very in-your-face relationships. And obviously when those relationships end. You're killing yourself. A public breakup. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:51 But, you know, it was very, I had to report to every single person who I didn't even know. Fuck, yeah. And that was embarrassing twice. I've, yeah, totally. It was embarrassing two times. Damn. Yeah, that makes sense. Because people don't notice for a while, too.
Starting point is 00:09:07 They go like, oh, how is this person? Like a year and a half-tater and you're like, I don't know, but I hope they're good. Yeah. Oh, my God. Yeah. Ouch. Totally. But there is such a joy of when that hasn't happened to you.
Starting point is 00:09:20 There's such a joy of being able to be like, this is my person, this is my person. I love that. I love that. Yeah. I mean, the thing about posting about your relationship, I've had, I mean, I've kind of, I built. I, when I first kind of started posting online, it was because I was going through a breakup. And that was how I first got followers or whatever. Like, I think I really like, I mean, my whole, I'm a lot of, yeah, obviously breakup content. And it's kind of hack, but it's relatable. And it's like, no, it is one of those things that it's like, I understand why it's popular. Because if somebody's talking about their breakup, I'm going to instantly.
Starting point is 00:09:55 Of course I'm going to watch it. No matter what mood I'm in. And if I'm going through breakup, I'm watching. I'm watching it. Exclusively. Exclusively for you page or whatever. But I don't know. I've had two super short-term relationships that like four months or less that those broke, I broke, you know, went through a breakup and then I posted about it a lot. And I'm like now I'm in the first long-term relationship that I've been in like forever. We've been dating like a year and a half.
Starting point is 00:10:22 And I'm like, if we broke up, God forbid. Yeah. Hopefully not. Not trying to manifest that at all. But if like if somehow that were to happen. I don't think I could post about it the same way. Like I think when I was in these like really kind of chaotic short-term relationships and we broke up, it was fun to post and be like toxic, blah, blah, blah. If we broke up, I would just be so devastated and I think I wouldn't be able to like talk about it.
Starting point is 00:10:46 Would I be wrong to say you were in your earlier 20s when you were doing that? Yeah. I was like 23, 24. Yeah, I had a situation ship that I did really badly and I kind of went on the internet about it. Of course. You're right. Yeah. And I went on like my story about it.
Starting point is 00:11:02 But I was like 21. Totally. And now I would just like never ever. Yeah. Like anytime I like something will slip out on a podcast and more and more recently I'll just be like, oh, you know what? Like that was for earlier in my life. I think I had so much fun doing that earlier in my life. And now I watch it and I go like, it's fine.
Starting point is 00:11:22 Yeah. Like there are so many other things I like, but I will consume that. Yes. That's the thing. That is a thing. And now it's like I incorporate it into different art. Like, you know, it's the most universal. Scripps or sketches or whatever.
Starting point is 00:11:37 Like, I like to channel that into. You have to bring your pain into fictional stuff. But I think I maybe, I don't know. I mean, who fucking knows? Maybe we would break up and I would go insane and then I would end up posting about it. So don't freaking hold me to this. No, I'm not thinking you never know. You never know how it's going to break your brain.
Starting point is 00:11:53 That's a good thing. You truly never know. Yeah. Period. Yeah. Speaking of you never know. actually you can't that's not a transition yeah I was trying to figure I think I know what you're going to say and I was trying to figure out the link and I was no let me find it yeah speaking of you
Starting point is 00:12:08 never know you never know no I got it yeah speaking of you never know okay you never know what your dad is gonna do on the internet Maddie oh you're so good at there we did um Maddie you have a um an interesting background yeah I don't know how else to say this I'll do it I'll do it I'll do it We, I'll do it. Yeah, you do it. We saw your live show recently. We saw an earlier preview of your live show. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:39 That live show will probably continue to exist in the future. Yes, yes, yes. We loved it. Uh-huh. Excellent. That's really nice. Would you tell us a little bit about it? Tell the people in the audience.
Starting point is 00:12:50 Totally. Yeah, the background and how that all came to be. Guys, it's so nice that you guys came and that you've said such nice stuff about it. I was like nervous for you guys to come because I look up to you guys. I think your comedy is so funny. Like, I really think you guys are so awesome. Feeling is mutual. I was so shy when you guys, I was like, oh my God, they're going to come to show.
Starting point is 00:13:12 You don't need to be shy. Hey. Hey, you don't need to be shy. That sounds like really bad. That sounds like I'm about to ask you to take your top off. Hey, hey, you don't need to be shy. Show them to me. Show them to me. Take your top of Bambalina.
Starting point is 00:13:29 I want to see. I'm so sorry. No, I liked it. Okay. I'm sorry. Clip that. Clip said harassing. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:36 I'm sorry. Yeah. Let me think. Okay. So, right. So for anybody listening, I just did a run of my solo show. It was a sold out run besides the preview you guys saw, but preview doesn't count. I feel like it was pretty packed then.
Starting point is 00:13:52 No, it wasn't. Oh. Oh. You're lying. Well, no, I kind of feel like we. We just maybe remember it through a. Because it was electric. Happy lens.
Starting point is 00:14:00 Yeah. Oh, yeah. I don't remember it being. feeling empty. No, I don't know. Okay, I'm coming at it from a place where I don't remember it feeling empty, so I assume there was... The color it is.
Starting point is 00:14:08 Yeah. Oh my gosh, what an awesome lesson. It's like you can kind of say anything. It's like, you could be like, it was completely sold out, including the preview. And it's like, people would be like, yeah, totally. No, yeah, no one would know it all. Because people remember a feeling. Like, I left the show being like, oh, that was so sweet and fun.
Starting point is 00:14:22 The people who would know. So then I would be like, right, it was so sweet and fun. How many seats were not sold as you? Yeah, that's beautiful. Yeah. Or somebody who was like, for some reason I'm angry. Yeah. And we kind of were just like, yay.
Starting point is 00:14:34 I was mad. Yeah. Yeah, I guess you can walk out of that show mad. You can walk out of that show mad if you were like your dad, if you're my dad. Okay, okay. If your dad was there, he might be like, he might be mad. And that wasn't really filled out. I really wonder what he would think of it.
Starting point is 00:14:50 Like, I think about that a lot, obviously. Like, I'm like, what would you think of it? Well, for the people who don't know the situation, what's the situation with. Okay, okay, okay. Yes. So, right. So I just did this live show. show. I did a run of my life show. I'm going to keep developing it. If you listen to this podcast,
Starting point is 00:15:06 follow me on it. Instagram, I'll post dates for it. Yes. I'm going to try and take you to New York, Edinburgh next summer, whatever. Okay. The situation at hand that my solo show is about is as follows. My dad abandoned my family when I was little when I was five, and he went on to become a semi-famous amateur break dancer. Yeah. This is true. Don't know why you're laughing. It's actually not a joke What's really dramatic for me? Yeah, you could pull it up. So, and if you pull it up, you'll see all the drama. So his real name is Ben Hart, but his B-boy name is a play on that.
Starting point is 00:15:43 His B-boy name is Ben-Nihana. Right, because he's like spicy on the grill. I guess. Sizzling on the grill. I mean, you would have to get him on the pod to ask. That's so true. Oh, my God. We always have this joke about getting people we don't like on the pod to waste their time.
Starting point is 00:15:59 That's really funny. The idea of like getting RFK Jr. on the podcast. And then just asking him questions that are not questions. Look up Good Morning America. Look up Ben Hart or Benihana. Good Morning America. He's done several Good Morning America appearances where he has breakdanced on Good Morning America. Recently I've discovered some bumps on my hands.
Starting point is 00:16:18 That's gorge. They happen after I'm outside and they last for weeks at a time. That doesn't even sound that fun. No, but I'm not even worried because I can go on Zoc Doc and find a derm. Innetologist in Network near me who will tell me how to get rid of those bumps. That's right. I literally in my bag right now have a sweater from Quince that I've been bringing everywhere this summer because I've been out all day and when it gets a little bit cooler at night, I can just pop that sweater out and it takes up like no room in my bag. 11 out of 10. Starting point is 00:18:29 165 day returns. Quince.com slash S and O. Take a look at the 60 year old. Yeah, he went, that's him. That's my dad. That's pops. Can't you tell the resemblance? Yeah. It's mostly the legs doing that.
Starting point is 00:18:46 Yeah, I think it's mostly his leg and his head spinning. That's like so me. So this man abandoned his family. He really did. He quite, um, he, yeah. He did abandon my family. family and then afterwards he decided to get into breakdancing. And the worst part is he got really good for his age.
Starting point is 00:19:08 Can I say you turned out so impeccably normal. That is one of the takeaways that I have from the show. Yeah. Yeah, this is him. This is my dad. He's so. Like, you did. Like, this is crazy.
Starting point is 00:19:23 That's my dad. This is insane behavior. When I left the show, I was like, what the fuck? I would not be anywhere as, as. Like, this is insane behavior. Here's the thing. People love to say that when they know me on a surface level. Like, you know, they're like, oh, you turn out really normal.
Starting point is 00:19:39 Right. And not that you guys know me completely surface, we're friends. Yeah. But if you are friends with me for a long time, you will notice. Yes, we have met you more recently for sure. Yeah. And I present very normal because I put a lot of effort into presenting so. Sure.
Starting point is 00:19:53 But if you really, like, yeah, that's true. Could you not say yes about her fucker who left her face? family. Okay, but the story gets more twisted. But what I will say is, and I have stand-up jokes about this where I'm like, you know, some people, like people have issues with me. Some people will notice that I'm pretty bad at making eye contact. I'm pretty bad at like some interactions.
Starting point is 00:20:19 And I just try and remind people like I was socialized under bizarre circumstances. Like my most formative years were bizarre. Yeah. And so I need a little grace. You know, if I am socially. awkward if I like handle a conversation poorly. Like you have to remember the nature versus nurture that I'm up against. Sure, sure. But but I also like that's not harming anyone. No, I also wouldn't consider you socially awkward. I would say the things that you just said that you consider to be
Starting point is 00:20:46 socially awkward, I would consider to be like charming. Thank you for saying. Like, and I genuinely mean that. Like I think that so often we judge ourselves based on things like, well, I'm not doing this thing the way I've seen everyone else do it. No, totally. Totally. But that is like one of the things we like. I'm hearing you say all of that and I'm like, none of those things are things I associate with you, but they're all things. I'm like, yeah, I do that. Yeah, totally. I mean, it's like, you know, but yeah. I think anybody who's like a comedian probably has some weird stuff. I mean, my mom, both of all my parents are really weird. Like, I don't talk to my mom because she's like, super crazy maga. Like, you used to talk on Fox News when I was younger, like has books,
Starting point is 00:21:22 has books and, and dissertations. On Fox News. Yes, yes, yes. Like, growing up, people are like, oh, my, oh, my parents are conservative. Well, your, your parents also have a, you have a It seems that your parents have like a desire to be very public. Yes. Yeah. They're like, there's like a showmanship fire. Yes. Which also now.
Starting point is 00:21:38 But now coming back like, I'm not trying to like analyze. No, please analyze me. I need it. I ran out of like insurance. My therapist won't take my insurance anymore. No. So this is because America, again, awesome.
Starting point is 00:21:51 America's hottest club is a therapist's office. America's hottest club is asking a health insurance place to take your insurance, whatever. I don't even know how that works. So please analyze me. Coming back to like before and you saying this thing. of like, oh yeah, well, when I was going through a breakup or when I'm in a relationship and I'm being very public with it, I'm like, well, it would make sense that you are doing that if your parents are like, I'm doing this like very bad thing very publicly.
Starting point is 00:22:12 And you're like, well, I'm kind of just like spreading queer joy publicly. Yeah. To like kind of like go, you know, against it. Maybe it's like a subconscious thing. But it is like a, it makes sense. If like if I'm raised by people who are actively spreading something I do not believe in, I'm going to actively spread something. that I believe in to offset that.
Starting point is 00:22:33 Bro, that's actually so true. My mom was extremely high up at the Heritage Foundation, which they're the biggest Republican think tank in America. They originated Project 2025. And she used to go on Fox News a lot when I was younger. And it's actually so true. And even going back to our relationship discussion, my mom had this column that she would write weekly
Starting point is 00:22:51 for a pretty big newspaper, but I forget which one, that was about like her divorce and being a... I think at first it was about her marriage. and then it became about her divorce. And then about like parenting as a single mom. And I'm like, I guess that's a bit of what I do on TikTok. And also when you were a kid and all those videos that you showed, like, you have this kind of like natural, I'm just talking to camera about what's going on kind of like upbringing. Well, yeah.
Starting point is 00:23:21 So your dad kind of goes on. Yes, to go back. Yeah. Okay. So my dad did a band of my family. He went on to become this break dancer. He was like Good Morning America. He was written about on the Washington Post, the New York Times.
Starting point is 00:23:31 He, you know, he was scouted to audition for America's Got Talent. Right. And he got four yeses. Oh, my God. But I know. But the way that that show works is apparently they say he didn't end up making it to the show because I guess they say yes to like more people than they end up airing. And then they like follow the most. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:23:49 Yeah. But he technically got four yeses and whatever. So and through all of that, he had this very like intermittent relationship. There was no split custody. Like, he very much abandoned my family. Like, he, he didn't know anything about my life. He would visit in this very divorced dad way. You know, he would come and take us to Rainforest Cafe for an afternoon and then disappear again.
Starting point is 00:24:10 Like, it was very that vibe. Oh, my God. But he, like, paid child support and whatever. But he just was extremely absent physically and whatever. And he actually went to jail for a little bit. I conundity. Because he was in contempt of court because he refused to pay something. Like, I honestly don't know.
Starting point is 00:24:26 And a lot of it's a blur because I was a kid. Fair. But he was gone, you know. Yeah. Anyway, fast forward years later, I have a burgeoning TikTok career and I post a TikTok about my breakdancing dad. Like, I make jokes about it online. I post like a one minute TikTok where I'm like joking about how my dad left and became a
Starting point is 00:24:44 breakdancing through because, sorry, funny is funny. No, it is really fun. I mean, unfortunately, it's so funny. I understand that it is also like so harmful to your psyche. No, but it's also. And those things usually go hand, unfortunately. And that's my whole brand. a writer. I like that's my whole brand as a writer is like the funniest things are also the
Starting point is 00:25:05 saddest and like I love comedy and tragedy is the same thing. Of course in horror too like it's all. I'm also just like I don't know my my secret thing with the universe is like I'm always like okay like obviously bad things are going to happen to me bad things are going to happen to everyone but like can mine at least be entertaining. I am and that's kind of the thesis of the show which Yeah. You guys saw an earlier version, so it actually wasn't this pointed of a take yet. But by the end of the developing of that specific run, a lot of where the show ends is like, you know, aren't I at least owed a funny story? All of this bad stuff happened to me.
Starting point is 00:25:46 Like, so yeah, I'm going to spin it to make it funnier. I'm going to spin it to make it more interesting. Like, aren't I at least owed that much? I want to entertain because there also what's the point? And like, what's the point of going through something if you're not even going to get to be able to get attention from it? Like, what's the point? Yeah. Yeah. So it's very that. Literally, yeah, it's, you know, and, you know, the show ends up being a critique of my own obsession with validation and my own obsession with posting online and my own obsession with being public. Well, and also just like things you have inherited from your family,
Starting point is 00:26:21 like unintentionally, which we all do. For good and for bad. 100%. For good and for dad. For good and for dad. 100%. But so the show is like this happened. I posted a TikTok about it.
Starting point is 00:26:34 Then my dad posted this 10 minute rebuttal. And then he posted two additional like 45 minute rebuttals basically being like, because he's also here's the other twist. The act three twist is my dad is also like all right. And he also posts Manosphere. content online. So he's a breakdancing, manisphere YouTubeing, absent father.
Starting point is 00:26:59 I know, he's got a lot going on. Like, this guy needs to learn like you can't have competing plots like that. Like, you got to simplify the story. Take like three of those eight things. Right. Like, you've got to actually boil it down. Like, if he was my manager, like, if he was like, somebody in my life who's read my scripts and been like, there's too much going on. Right. You got to simplify.
Starting point is 00:27:17 Yeah, he needs to be more grounded. He needs that. It needs to ground in something. It's too wacky. It's too absurd. Well, he just needs one, you need to ground it in something and he's grounded it in nothing. But, but he's too, wacky too absurd. But we ended up getting in this online beef where I was basically like, my dad sucks. He wasn't present when I was a kid. And he was like, no, I actually was the best dad of all time. And like, I'm actually, I'm a really, I'm a really awesome guy. Yeah. And then you got death threats. Yeah. And then I, basically, he went unbelievably viral on the Manosphere side of the internet. And like, the. the, you know, deadbeat dad side of the internet. I was getting... Deadbeat dad talk. They're a pretty big contingent. I believe that. Unfortunately. I don't ever thought of it. But like, yeah, that's absolutely going to have a community.
Starting point is 00:28:02 Because there's going to be a lot of people being like, tell me why it's not my fault. Exactly. And that was like the whole thing. And so then I was getting like truly, truly thousands and thousands of hate messages every genuinely every hour. Like, I've never gone so viral in my life. Truly anything that was posted of. out online would get millions of views. So there are all these people like commenting on the situation, analyzing my one-minute TikTok versus him, his two hours worth of videos roasting me. He posted videos just being like, you know, my daughter is faking being gay. She's never going to make it as a comedian.
Starting point is 00:28:36 Oh my God. That was so fucked up. There was a part in the show where like he said that thing. I knew her when she was a kid and she was not by. And then it cuts to like a big family photo and you were the most gay-looking kid you've ever seen. kid. It's so crazy.
Starting point is 00:28:53 You're dressed so all. Yeah. I'm literally wearing like basketball shorts and like a shirt that's like extra extra extra large. Like a choker. I'm wearing a checker. I'm working like a bunch of bracelets. Like the signs were there.
Starting point is 00:29:03 I know. I'm like you just weren't around to see them. Yeah. Visit once in a while. And if you looked and be like, well, yeah. Yeah. So the show basically is about that. It's about our relationship.
Starting point is 00:29:15 And it's like Sid just said like it's breaking down how I am. similar. Like, the show ends up being about, and I want to go more into this direction. Yeah. This is a new direction. It's just so interesting and it's really like, oh my God, vulnerable and great. I used to be really scared of going in that direction, like earlier versions of the show when I was doing work and progresses. I did not point out how we're similar at all. I really just made it about like, my break dancing doubt is so funny and isn't this a funny story? And then in this most recent iteration, I was like, no, I actually have to go to the place I'm scared of. It makes it so like. Which is pointing out that I am addicted to validation just like him.
Starting point is 00:29:49 and I'm addicted to posting online, posting all my personal business online the way that he is. And like, but there's good things too. Like, there's good things too. Like, I think I get my sense of ambition from him. Like, when I was younger, whenever he would visit, he would always be like, wow, Maddie, you're so, you do stuff. Like, you're a doer. Like, you look at all these, because as a kid, I was posting YouTube videos and he would be like,
Starting point is 00:30:12 wow, this is so cool. Like, you're such a doer. And, like, he's the reason my favorite color is purple. Like, there's all these things. for good and for bad that I get from him and, you know, the show ends up being about that. You know what, though? It's like, I think that's such an interesting and important take because we're all so, like, siphoned off and we're all, like, thinking of, like, the bad guys is just, like, purely bad.
Starting point is 00:30:37 Totally. And, of course, like, some of- Fear makes your brain move more black and white. Yeah. So it's scary. And, of course, like, I understand, like, why we would be like, oh, these people are just evil. And, like, some of them just are. However, it's like finding the things of like, oh, I kind of see the humanity in you.
Starting point is 00:30:57 Yeah. Even if you are like bad. Yeah. Even if you refuse to see the humanity in me. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I see the humanity in you from a safe distance.
Starting point is 00:31:04 Yes. There's something like important about just like being able to understand other people. Yeah. And if they're shitty. And even if they're not trying to understand you. Right. Because it actually might help you. Like I feel like sometimes like being able to understand like maybe some of my relatives
Starting point is 00:31:19 are a little bit more challenging, even if, like, they're not necessarily interested in understanding me. Yeah. I am like, okay, well, if I can understand where you're coming from for this, this is actually going to make me feel a little bit more peaceful. Yeah. Yeah. Like, give me a little bit more of a relaxed feel.
Starting point is 00:31:35 And it's not, yeah, exactly, because it's not about them. It's about what you need to do for yourself. I'm, like, at the end of the day, yeah, that's like, I want to handle it however Maddie would handle it. Yeah. And I don't want to be influenced by, like, him. like and yeah I don't know so yeah I don't know but I definitely like I always I'm so curious what he would think yeah and the show ends up like also because you play him yes yeah yeah the show is like
Starting point is 00:31:59 basically half me doing a caricature version of him like a very heightened kind of amalgamation of manosphere culture like basically the show is half in my head it's half manosphere culture on a macro level the funniest most heightened version the most 2D flat version of what the man is and I play this character that represents that. And then the other half of the show is what I think are the consequences of the manosphere on a micro level, which is one man and one woman who his ideology affects, which is my dad and me. So there's like a macro version of the manosphere and then there's the micro like, okay, this is actually, yeah, the manosphere is crazy and wild, but it's actually real men who are affecting real women. And here's my personal case study of that. Yeah, it is
Starting point is 00:32:47 It's like a really fascinating show. There's too much going on. I got to boil it down. No, no, no. There really isn't because it's all interconnected. Yeah. And I also do think that like it's far more intricate than it even needs to be. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:33:03 Like it's far more like detailed and thoughtful than I feel like it really even needs to be. No, I truly feel this way. And I feel like when we saw it by the end, I mean, when we saw it by the end, everyone was crying. Yeah. Hell yes. At the preview. That's awesome. review. Everyone was just like...
Starting point is 00:33:18 That's obviously the exact validation I want. And like, obviously, and like the gag of the show, I forget if we had this at your show, because we added it super last minute and I'm forgetting if we added it before the preview. At the very end of the show, after we've had this whole heartwarming ending, it does end with a clip of me as a kid that I have of me talking about my YouTube where I go, all of this is just for views. Yeah. Because like the show itself is me just trying to get validation.
Starting point is 00:33:45 So even though it is heartwarming and all that stuff is true, the show itself is a testament to how I'm similar to my dad, which is like, I'm going to spin a story and I'm going to make this work for my personal narrative and I'm still just trying to get validation at the end of the day, which for good and for bad. But that's the thing that none of us want to face as performers is going like, well, where does that come from? Yeah. Like, why do you need this? Yeah, you know? And it's like a wound that you're like, I don't really want to look at that. I think I'm okay. It's like, well, why are you a hand?
Starting point is 00:34:16 Why are you drawing to doing this? Why are you afraid of doing this? Correct. Why are you performing for people? And yeah, but the first like six months of developing this show, I wasn't touching that at all. The first six months of developing the show is just like, my dad sucks and isn't this a crazy story?
Starting point is 00:34:31 But that's probably an important part of the process because it is, it is probably something you've got to get it all out first before you go, you know. Okay, I'm going to face the scary thing of how maybe I suck a little bit sometimes. That's the fun in game. of it. And it's also like, I don't even think it's any part of it is about how you suck. I think the part of it is about how you both have, have human wants and needs. And I think, wow, totally. One of the things that I, that hit me too was like the loneliness thing. Mm. Yeah. And with with all of these men in the manosphere who just kind of want connection.
Starting point is 00:35:03 Connection. And they're doing it wrong. Completely normal thing to want. Yeah. It's funny. Like I, we all should have it. We made a video about, you know, the male loneliness epidemic. Was it adopting a lonely male? Yes. It was that video. Jeremy was so funny. Jeremy, he's so funny. He's so funny. He gave him a list of things to film.
Starting point is 00:35:20 He filmed them and then we just reacted to the half the script. He's so funny. He's the best. And I think like there were certain people who were offended by it being like, I can't believe you're making fun of people who just want connection. Yeah. Sure. It's like totally. That's not exactly the thing. No. I think the thing more is making fun of the
Starting point is 00:35:42 idea that people are saying all I want is connection, but what they're doing is being like super hateful and putting people, like pushing people away. They're displaying legitimately anti-social behavior. Yeah. And they're blaming women when it's like the lone, the male loneliness epidemic and the manosphere are obviously a circle because men are lonely so then they turn to the manosphere. But the manosphere perpetuates their loneliness. Like all of it. Yeah. It's so. Anyway, if you have someone who's in cell in your life, tell them it's that they can drop it. And they can get some human connection. Make a friend. Go pick up a hobby. I love humans. Have you read rejection? No, what is that?
Starting point is 00:36:26 There's this excellent book of short stories. Cool. I'm going to write it down because I'm a, it's awesome. I'm like a big book where I'm like, I like, I like, love. Oh, you guys have to do book club. Actually, Maddie, you will really love this book. I'm kind of like a picnic, but, um, oh, yes. I would love to join your book club. I'll add you to the group shop. I would love to. It's very casual. You only have to, you never have to come on to see if you don't want to. But people just pop in when they've read the book.
Starting point is 00:36:47 I would love to join your book club. I'm always looking for a book club. It's called Rejection. I'll add it to my good reads. We should add each other on Goodread. Yes. We should do it. There's this book called Rejection.
Starting point is 00:36:56 By Tony Rejection. By Tony Rejection. By Tony Invented rejection. Yeah, yeah, yeah. By Tony. By Tony Tala Thimut. Yes, that's the one. And he is, he's like an excellent writer.
Starting point is 00:37:12 And the first chapter is a short story about a person who starts off being very much so like, I'm a feminist. I'm like, I'm a very like woke minded person. But he's kind of doing it for maybe the wrong reasons and very much so to get pussy. And hey, who amongst us? Right. And then when it doesn't work, he very quickly goes into cell culture. and it is a fascinating short story. Did you really like it?
Starting point is 00:37:41 I loved it. Cool. Also, if you're an audiobook fan, because I like to go back and forth because it's a book for me. This one has a different actor for every short story and it's really fun. Wait, I love that. It's a great book. I really like that.
Starting point is 00:37:56 So the short stories are interconnected? Yes. Cool. And they're all, yeah, it's very much so like, and not to relate it to this because that's kind of stupid, but like that movie Valentine's Day. That's awesome. It's like Valentine's Day. day, except if it was an in-cell.
Starting point is 00:38:09 In-self, like, fiction. Where, like, a character will be like, you see a character and then they come back randomly in another chapter and you're like, oh, they're interconnected in this way. Basically, the Valentine's Day of literary anthology in self-fiction. Yes. And I've always been saying that about this book. Always that. Okay, I'm totally going to read it.
Starting point is 00:38:27 It's really fun. I've been getting more into short stories lately. I feel like that was not my medium. Yeah. But I'm like. It's a niche medium, but it's terrible. I know. But I recently read her body and other parties. Oh, I haven't read that.
Starting point is 00:38:38 It is. It made me like short stories. Okay. I'm going to write that down. Which I haven't liked since high school. Her body. Um, it's like such a good. It's so good.
Starting point is 00:38:47 But it's all connected, not like this, but it's connected just super thematically. And it's so great. Um, my last Google search was what type of poop is normal. So cool. That's good. And that's good. I think I have hemorrhoids. Oh.
Starting point is 00:38:59 Oh. Oh. You should talk to Steph Tolip. She came on our podcast and told us all about him. Really? She got blood in her poop. I don't know. Sometimes, probably.
Starting point is 00:39:08 Occasionally at E.K. She's a pro at it. That's awesome. And she explained it to us. I think I need to go to a doctor. But again, that's America's Hotets Club that you can't get into. You can get a cream from CVS. Okay, cool.
Starting point is 00:39:19 You can. And you can get hemorrhid medicated wipes. Should we do a segment? Yeah. Perfect, perfect. We're going to wrap this episode up with a segment. We're doing a segment. It's about dads because you know what?
Starting point is 00:39:31 Good. So is your show. Cool. This is the fantasy dad bracket. Music! Cut the music. Oh, I'm excited about this. Okay, so the fantasy dad bracket, essentially, is we're going to find the dad of all dad.
Starting point is 00:39:42 This rocks. Okay. Every time I see a man display healthy masculinity, I say to my girlfriend, like, I wish you was my dad. And she's like, you got to stop saying that because it's sad. No, no, no, we literally will call, we collect dads. We collect dads. Oh, I love that. How are your guys as dads really quick?
Starting point is 00:39:56 I love my dad. That's awesome. Good for you guys. I will share my dad with you. Thank you. If people do that. I have a lot of, and I really appreciate that. My dad will love you.
Starting point is 00:40:06 Fuck yes. Avery's dad is awesome. My best friend from high school. Her dad is awesome. Both them are like, we'll be your dad. That's all I want. I love being adopted by dads. My dad used to do that. So sweet. Yeah. We have good dads. We luck. Good for you guys. We can share our dads, but also everyone can have so many dads. Cassim's one of us. And a dad can be anything. And that's not to be annoying and be like, that's how my show. But the show is that the audience ends. They're all, it's revealed. They're all my dad. Because they actually chose to show up for the show. A dad can be anything. A dad can be anything. So, but who is the best dad? Right. We'll find out.
Starting point is 00:40:35 Okay, first ones, Mufasa or Daddy Pig. Oh, shit. Obviously, Mufasa appears in the clouds in Lion King, which is a pretty sick dad move. No, that is a sick dad move. You're right. And Daddy Pig is seven feet tall. Right. Which is cool.
Starting point is 00:40:50 He's also a good dad. He kind of is shaped like a penis. Yeah. These are excellent dad qualities, but which one is the best dad? So, our, okay, here's the thing about Mufasa. And I get he dies, like, that's fine and not necessarily his fault. Sure. But he is absent.
Starting point is 00:41:04 Absent, right. Right, no, that's hard. And you know who's not? Also, Daddy Pig. Yeah, I was going to say Daddy Pig, I think, is very, like, sweet present versus Mufasa has an inherent distance to him that I think would be triggering to my personal daddy issue. Right, because he's royalty, correct? Yes.
Starting point is 00:41:19 Isn't he royalty? Yeah, he puts a lot of pressure on his kid and he's sort of this, you know, larger than life absent figure, and I'm done with that. And so I'm going to go with Daddy Pig. Right. And a dad dying is literally an absentee dad. Yeah, no, that's fine. Again, people don't say that enough.
Starting point is 00:41:34 And if your dad died, I'm saying he's absent and you deserve better. I'm really sorry. I'm really sorry. Daddy Pig or John from John and Kate Plus 8. That's hilarious. Obviously, John from John and Kate Plus 8 is ill. I've got an immediate answer to that one. Yeah, what's his deal?
Starting point is 00:41:51 So he got earrings. Fuck. Okay, sorry. I said he got earrings. You said he let Kate do it. And I guess I want to go further into yours. Oh. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:42:03 he's kind of weird and she is giving. It's the original Karen haircut. Yeah. She's giving controlling behavior and driving an unhealthy situation. And he doesn't seem great either. He seems actively like they're from the clip where she snaps at him for breathing. That's correct. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:42:23 That's not very nice. I'm pretty sure one of their kids is coming out with either a memoir or something being like, this isn't good. Yeah, I could assume it's not good. which doesn't look good. Wow. Yeah, but that was so traumatic to grow up in that environment. 100%. How could it not be?
Starting point is 00:42:40 So I'm guessing we're sticking with Daddy Pig. Daddy Pig. I mean, they're very, yeah, I think John is probably... Plus, he's British, so that could be fun. Yeah. Yes. Oh my God, his voice is so... Daddy Pig's voice is so calming.
Starting point is 00:42:49 Yeah, John has exploited his kids. Yeah. I've already been through that. Yeah. Let's go Daddy Pig or Bach, the father of music. Oh, wow. You know how Bach. I was picturing Bach from Wicked.
Starting point is 00:43:00 No. I know, I was too. And Bach from Wicked. is also the father of music in his own right. In a different way. But this guy. Dude, definitely still Daddy Pig. You don't like this guy?
Starting point is 00:43:09 I mean, you just know that Bach was a tortured artist. And again, I'm done with that. There's no way he was like playing in the mud with his off. No, he was probably like the piano. Got to get back to the piano. Yeah, yeah. You know, look at your kid. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:43:22 My dad was absent and break danced. You know what I mean? Like, I've already done the whole like my dad is more invested in his art than in our relationship. And like Bach, if Bach had the opportunity. need to go on Good Morning America. He would. Oh, he would. He would be on America's Got Talent over.
Starting point is 00:43:37 Like, he'd be getting the golden buzzer and like, then ignoring his kids. If it was Box child's birthday party, but also good morning America? He'd be like going to good morning. Because my dad went through this phase where he would do things where he would like not remember when I birthday was, but then he would just send me links to his break dancing videos. Right. And you know that Bach would be doing that. He would be sending links to his Spotify, SoundCloud. Garage band.
Starting point is 00:43:59 So we're sticking with Daddy Pipp. Yeah, yeah. Okay. Yep. Okay. Okay. Daddy Pig or the scrub daddy. Now, the scrub daddy is great because he's got an iconist face.
Starting point is 00:44:10 He's always smiling. He's always smiling. He comes in a bunch of different lovely colors. He's a beautiful guy. He's rough, but soft on an end. Gentle on grime. He's rough, but he's rough on grime when he needs to be, but gentle on grime when he needs to be. Yeah, wait. He has a flex texture, which is, it could be nice. That's so good in a father. Oh, he's soft and warm water and firm and cool. water. That's good. I, hot take, never want my father to be firm. I was going to say, I was going to say that's actually taking it down a notch for me. I'm going to say it's losing points for now. Yeah, I don't know. What I also don't love about scrub daddy is he's smiling all the time, which to me has potential to hide an insidious underbelly of pent up rage. Right. If he can't show any other emotions, but every human being has. It's giving repress. Also, what's going to happen during your teenage years when you're like, I need you to validate what I'm feeling. And he's smiling. Oh, he's smiling. Oh, he's smiling. Oh, he's smiling. Oh, oh,
Starting point is 00:45:02 everything's a joke to him. Everything's funny. Everything's a little empty for me. Everything's a fucking joke to you, Scrub Daddy. We're going to stick with Daddy Pig. And I think I'm learning I really want Daddy Pig to be my Yeah. I get it. Okay, what about this? Daddy Pig or Father Time? Oh, wow. That's fun. But again, it's the Mufasa thing of like, you are too larger than life. Right. And I need a dad who's going to be there at my little league game. Yeah, yeah. And you're going to be dealing with the existence of time. Is Father Time? Oh, sorry, go for it. Oh, would I get powers? Oh, true. Good point. Would you get powers? If he was my father.
Starting point is 00:45:32 If father time was my father time have powers? I'm a little confused about the lore of father time. I guess his kid would have powers. Father time does he have power? Limitless, apparently. Yes. Father time possesses immense near limitless powers. And he has a bit...
Starting point is 00:45:48 Cool. His abilities typically include chronokinesis. Isn't that the diarrhea disease? Yeah. What's the diarrhea? Dyspora or whatever? His ability contains... Chlyaspora.
Starting point is 00:45:59 Yes. Yeah. His abilities include... poisoning the lettuce to make you shit your pants. Poisoning Taco Bell. Okay. And he's a scythe to reap lives. And he controls time allowing it to fast forward, rewind, or stop it.
Starting point is 00:46:12 Very much like Click. I fuck with that. Yeah, click was a modern adaptation. A father time. A father time. Actually, Adam Sandler is so father time. Coded, yeah. I don't think he'd be a good dad, but I do think he would give you powers probably.
Starting point is 00:46:27 I actually think he could be a good father in that he could rewind to some of your greatest achievements. If he chose to, but I think he's too busy. He's too busy. But he has limitless time, so he probably could be there at the little week. What kind of a guy he is? It just depends if he's a good guy. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:46:43 Do you think he is? I don't know. I think when men are too powerful, bad things happen. Also, my thing about the time element is I think life is only meaningful because it's a limited amount of time. God, you're so right. Daddy Pig. So again, I'm sticking with Daddy Pig because for me, he's holding his kid.
Starting point is 00:47:01 Upside down. You can't do that. He's fucking holding his kid upside down. He's not looking at his kid. Somebody called Child Protective Services. He's shaking his kid around and he's not even looking at him. Yeah. I'm sticking with Daddy Pig. Hey, Daddy Pig.
Starting point is 00:47:13 Daddy Pig or the absent father in Snow White. Dude, obviously I know. Obviously Daddy Pig. Yeah. Okay. You guys are picking really funny that. Thank you so much. Daddy Pig or the desperate father in Rumpelstil skin.
Starting point is 00:47:25 Oh. I don't know if you remember the desperate father. No, here's the way, okay, so Rumpelstiltskin, what happens is he agrees to give his kid away. Yes. In order to save his wife or something. Or for money. I kind of think it might be money.
Starting point is 00:47:42 I kind of think the dad in Rumpelstilskins. No, he says to her. So the dad says, The desperate father in Rumpel Stilskine says to Rumpel Stilskin, my daughter can weave gold. He makes some mistake at the top. He makes a great mistake. Oh, yes, yes.
Starting point is 00:47:58 Can you look up what goes down with it? He loses a bet or something. He like, yeah, he makes, well, wait, wait, you know what it is? At least in some versions, it's that he was stealing stuff from this witch's garden in order to like, I think it, I don't know if it was like to help his wife in some way. He was feeding his wife stolen vegetables. Isn't that into the woods? Well, yeah. Rumble still skin is part of Into the Woods.
Starting point is 00:48:19 Is he? Oh, yeah. Rumble Stillskin is in Into the woods? Oh, yeah. They're all in Into the woods. All the fairy tale creatures are in Into the woods. I don't remember Rumble Stillskin and Into the Woods. Oh, whoa, whoa.
Starting point is 00:48:29 You're like, yeah. Yeah, I mean, it's a really good musical. I'm a song time head. Oh, you are. So the Miller. I love musicals. The Miller, the dad tells the king, hey, guess what? My daughter can turn straw into gold.
Starting point is 00:48:44 Okay. So he just sells her out with a lie. Oh, so it sucks. There's a lot of different adaptations, though, is what I'll say. There's a lot of different versions. Yeah. But his name is Rumble Silskine and all of them. So true.
Starting point is 00:48:57 Yeah, I think. Now I'm actually getting lost in this. I might be thinking of Tangled. But you probably want Daddy Pig over Rumble stills. Yeah, bottom line is I've been exploited for stuff before and I'd rather do Daddy Pig. Yeah, I think we just go Daddy Pig. Okay, Daddy Pig or Billy Ray Cyrus. Oh, God.
Starting point is 00:49:13 Is Billy Ray Cyrus a bad dad? Isn't there something? Well, he's, there's like women on the internet who are like, I dated Billy Ray Cyrus and he ruined my life. And then they have like montages. Oh, fuck. So probably sticking with Daddy Pig. Daddy Pig. But he has an album called Best of the Best.
Starting point is 00:49:31 Which is, does that mean best dad of the best dads? Yeah, probably. Right? Yeah, we got to get dead. Okay, we'll probably stick with Daddy Pig. I think he's sticking with Daddy Pig. Daddy Pig or Zeus. Oh.
Starting point is 00:49:41 Again, too powerful. But Zeus is a cool one. Or no, his dad tried to eat him. Or did he eat his dad? Kronos is his dad. Yes. And his dad ate his brother or something or ate him and his brother and then threw them up. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:49:57 They threw them up. Or they came out. of his his snatch. Yeah. He ate. So Kronos eats both his sons and they come out of his snatch. Fuck. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:50:07 I guess I'm just thinking about Percy Jackson. I'm trying to remember what happened there. But I need to like get more into mythology. I love. Because of the Odyssey. I feel like watching the Odyssey will be really fun if you've. I'm excited about that. I think that'll be a fun time.
Starting point is 00:50:21 I'm excited for the, are they doing music? Do you think the part in the Odyssey where he comes out of his snatch? I hope so. I think that's at least in the after the credit. Yeah. I think they have an after credit scene. Real time coming out of the snatch. Of the great snatching.
Starting point is 00:50:33 Okay, so we're sticking with Daddy Pig. Daddy Pig or Darth Vader. Oh. Daddy Pig. Daddy Pig or Jill from the Last of Us. Aw. Now. Daddy Pig.
Starting point is 00:50:45 No. No. I might actually fuck him if he's my dad. Yeah, I think I might think. I don't like him. Yeah. Daddy pigs my dad. That's actually such, because he's so hot and he's such a good dad figure.
Starting point is 00:51:03 I would literally die to fuck Joel from Last of Us. He's an amazing dad figure, but in a way that I find hot. So I wouldn't want him to be my dad. Exactly. Exactly. Okay. I would be the stepmom of whoever he was fathering. So hot.
Starting point is 00:51:19 Sure, sure, sure, sure. Okay, so we're sticking with Daddy. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I don't want to fuck my dad. I don't want to fuck Daddy Pig or anyone who's my dad. I don't want to want to want. to fuck my dad. Right.
Starting point is 00:51:29 Sure, sure, sure. I don't want that to be even in the equation. Right, right, right. Yeah. Okay. So, I don't want us to be like flirting up breakfast. Also, he doesn't save his daughter at the beginning of that show. Oh, but he tries, right?
Starting point is 00:51:39 Yeah. He tries. No, I know, but like. That's a soft spot for him. That's a hard thing. Poor wounds. But, like, you know. He really tried, Olivia.
Starting point is 00:51:46 No, I'm so bad. Oh, that's tragic. Daddy Pig or Marlin from finding Nemo. Oh. That's a good one. Well, but Marlon is so uptight, but he would do anything. He would do anything. He would do anything.
Starting point is 00:51:58 think Daddy Pig would go on the same adventure Marlin did to find Pepper. I think if Pepper went missing, Daddy Pig would be like, oh well. Yeah, he would be like, I don't know what to do. I don't know what to do today. Oh, I hope she comes back. No, yeah, that's fair. That's a good point. He'd call a spade a spade in. Yeah. He'd be like, well, that's unfortunate. They're all. Let's go to lunch. But Marlon is like, I will not continue my life. Yeah. If I cannot find me. Wow. And you know what? I've always said that Marlin is actually the Joel from Last of Us of the sea. Yeah, except I don't want to have sex with him as much. That's what I'm saying. He's not. He's, he's, he's Joel from the last of us, but
Starting point is 00:52:35 underwater and not hot. Yes. I don't, I wouldn't say not hot. No, he's kind of hot, but he's not so hot that I can't choose him in his complex. Like, look at his face. Like, if you look at his face in terms of fish. And his voice is kind of hot. Yes. In terms of fish hot, his vibe is very hot. I think like when you're looking at somebody's hotness, you have to put them in terms of what that category is. Right. For a fish, he's hot. For a fish, for an animated fish, that's a hot fish.
Starting point is 00:53:00 Absolutely. You know what? And his wife was beautiful. Beautiful wife. Here's my, yeah. I'm gorgeous. He pulls. Such a tragedy, which is why I'm comparing it to Last of Us because he starts
Starting point is 00:53:09 the film with a big loss. I'm wondering if daddy pig would be too easy on. Like, I'm wondering if he would be a bit of a pushover and maybe you need a dad with a bit more of a backbone. I can't speak on that because I've never had a dad. So I don't know if you need a back. phone in a dad? Right.
Starting point is 00:53:26 Maybe you got, what do you guys think? Yeah. There were, yes, there were definitely moments where my dad was like, because my dad is so chill. Yeah. Anytime he was actually upset, it was like, ooh, he's pissed. Yeah, yeah. I think the ability to go there or the ability to be like.
Starting point is 00:53:45 To lock in. Like my dad is very much a type of person who like, I have to watch out if someone does something bad to me because he will like threaten to kill him. Damn. Cool. like in real life, but he'll tell me like I'm going to go. He'll get really upset. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:54:00 I think Marlin would have, I think Marlin would be like that. And Daddy Pig might not be. No, Marlon and my dad actually aren't crazy dissimilar. Damn. Marlon was from New Jersey. Yeah. I think I might go with Marlon. I think I need a guy who's going to have a little more backbone.
Starting point is 00:54:14 I kind of think Marlon might be the dad of all dad. Yeah. He's going to follow you to the ends of the earth to make sure you're okay. He's going to have a backbone. He's going to speak up. He's going to have a vested interest in your safety in a way that I think Daddy Pig would be a little like following the butterflies, passive, spinesless. But daddy pig, I feel totally comfortable giving him second place.
Starting point is 00:54:33 Yes. Okay. Okay. So we're going first place, Marlon, second place, daddy pick. Wow. This is, wow. Last minute change. I know.
Starting point is 00:54:41 I kind of thought I was going to go daddy pig all the way. Haman and swept. Let me tell you, that's why Marlin's at the very end. Yeah. Because that's the ultimate test. Oh, I wish he was my dad, actually. Now I'm getting a little bit sad that, like, he's not my dad. I know.
Starting point is 00:54:54 Let's find him. Let's reverse. Marlin on the pod. Let's reverse finding Nemo him. Yes. Finding Marlin. Finding Marlin and it's just like we deserve a restraining order kind of vi and so. Okay, perfect.
Starting point is 00:55:05 You guys, you got to all be following Maddie Hart. If you're not following Maddie. You want to plug yourself up? Follow Maddie Hart underscore soccer on Instagram and TikTok. And Maddie spelled M-A-D-I, which is interesting. It is interesting. I love that your handle is Maddie Hart Soccer. Where did that come from?
Starting point is 00:55:26 Oh, I've heard the story. I don't know if I have. I get questions all the time. Maddie, Maddie, do you play soccer? No, I don't. Never have. Never. Maybe I will.
Starting point is 00:55:36 Never will. I'm like, I'm mad about it. It's so funny because, like, you are a person who is, you're a doer. Yeah, I would be like a soccer. Like, you do a tap dancing. Like, you do a lot of cool things. I would stop play soccer. So I do think if there was a soccer team.
Starting point is 00:55:49 That's why I stopped myself from saying that because I don't like lying and I think that's true. Yeah, I would play. Eventually soccer. Maddie Hart soccer comes. It doesn't come from anything sports related. What happened was when I was, I was like 19, and I had my first, like, huge crush on a girl, and it drove me fucking insane. Like, if you've had a crush on a, if you've, people will know, you know, your first crush on a girl makes you fucking nuts.
Starting point is 00:56:11 Fellows of my right? And basically, I was so insane. Like, I felt so insane. I would do literally anything for her. Like, I just was so obsessed with her and it drove me insane. And she thought I was funny. Like, she just thought I was funny. She was like, Maddie, you should start a Twitter.
Starting point is 00:56:26 Like, you're kind of funny. Like, you're funny. Like, you should start a Twitter. And so then I basically was just trying to come up with a username that would make her laugh. I was like, oh, I'll be Maddie Hart like this. Maddie Hart. Oh, I should do this username. I should do that username.
Starting point is 00:56:38 Oh, I should be, oh, what if it was so random? I did Maddie Hart basketball. And she thought that was so funny to do Maddie Hart basketball. But then Maddie Hart basketball just because it was so random. It was such a non sequitur. It was so random. She thought that was so funny. But that was taken.
Starting point is 00:56:53 Maddie Hart basketball was taken. taken on Twitter. So then I did the next funniest available sport, which was soccer. Maddie Hart soccer flowed the best. It really works. After I thought, I think Maddie Hart basketball is pretty funny still. Yeah. But somebody had that. So I did Maddie Hart soccer. And then it was just my, I made that my name on everything because she thought it was so funny. So I was like, okay, I'll make that my Instagram. That's me now. That's me now. That's what I will base the entire rest of my career and life on. Yeah. And then I just kept it. And then. And then I just kept it. And then And yeah, I never changed it.
Starting point is 00:57:26 That's everything. So Maddie Hart Socker, it was to impress a woman who ended up. She was my first real gay experience. Like we hooked up and like dated for like one little second. Had a situation ship. It was a situationhip. And then she just wasn't in love with me. Right.
Starting point is 00:57:41 So that's how that ended. And then Maddie Hart's soccer became what I, it's my whole brand and will always be. Yeah. Listen, that's a beautiful story. Mm-hmm. If you're listening, thanks. If you're listening, thanks. Thank you.
