bailed at the last moment. For no good reason. Yeah, we did a little, I did a little PI work online and found out that his whole story was, it was a flop. He was lying. Oh well. Who needs him?

Who needs him? Keeping with the theme, though, that was the body, the band The Body from Providence there in the background. So we are just nailing this theme tonight. Jeez. It can only go downhill from here.

That's the first I've ever heard those guys. It sounds like it's pretty awesome stuff. Sounds good. Yeah. Anybody can do that. I can do that. I just did. You said you saw them with Otisani?

Yeah, they played in... Oh, don't bring that up. That would have been another great story to tell because they played in Delaware a few years back with a band called Otasonic and some of the guys in the body, or some of the guys, I think it's only two dudes, but one of them was making fun of Otasonic and Joe B. got really mad. gonna go with the body though right like like the human body i mean i tried to be as clever as i could but you're not that clever of a guy though so did you want to start off you want me to start off uh you can get and start off because i don't have my shit together every i don't know what i want to do first all right i'm gonna start off with this one because it works on multiple levels for the uh for the theme and i just got it the other day so it's a new release on uh sound holes sound holes number oh i didn't think about that that that also kind of works for the theme good one dave uh sound holes number 54 from a project called lung wash and. That's a good name.

Yeah, it is. You get your lungs. And then the tape is called Not Corpse, But Larva. Cool. Yeah, exactly. The one tape is called Not Corpse, But Larva, and the other tape is called Within the Hollow Womb. So this is like jam-packed.

Just came out on Sound Holes, so i'm pretty sure you can still grab that comes packaged in one of those double tall nerd alka cases that i enjoy ever so much yeah i really all sound hole stuff looks uh it's got this like a consistent aesthetic with all like black and white artwork and i like the same font and stuff that it uses and they always look awesome he just put out a new batch with uh i think there was like a endless time tape and uh a few other things nice definitely doesn't have the little spoolie things on the back it's a clear norelco case because it really uh those things can kind of be distracting sometimes.

No, it's a bunch of uh dayton projects it's not just community colleges isn't a couple of dayton labels put that out no it's just community college it's just them i was under the impression it was a couple but uh comes in one of those big um disney vhs style cases what do you call these you know like a six tape vinyl box yeah i like this a lot yeah and uh i think i'm gonna play um a lot to choose from in this one original tongues yeah i think i was gonna do original tongues but i could have picked a bunch of different stuff because there's fields of blood teeth collection uh heart heart of the horror plasmic formations might count right because don No. Because don't you get like plasma?

I don't. Don't you? Isn't that like after you get like a cut or something, you get like that clear stuff? Isn't that considered like plasma? Well, plasma is like blood, right? I don't know. Yeah, because you'd like donate plasma, don't you? I have no idea.

But plasmic, I don't think is actually a word. Well, it's like a plasma formation, but it's plasmic. Let's not argue. Listen, I'm in the middle. I'm three weeks away from getting my medical degree. I don't want to fuck it up by saying anything stupid on this thing. I have a lot of, I really admire the Dayton, Ohio scene. It's like a, you know, it seems like a very small town,

but a very close-knit, active group of people. I've always had... I think I played Dayton twice. And I've had a really good time both times going through there and hanging out with people and stuff. Let me see this. I have this out in the other room, but I haven't looked at it in a while. This is all black and white, isn't it? Yes.

This is looking good. So what did you decide you were going to play here original tongues original tongues ah there she is number two i'll tell you one thing i don't like about this is like there's um uh whatchamacallit like there's only labels on the A sides and it has both artist names but one's a little bit bigger and bolder. Does that mean are they on, and one's on the top. Is the one on the top on the A side

and the one underneath of it that's a little bit bigger and bolder on the B side? I think so, yeah. I think they made the text bigger for the B side just so they wouldn't feel bad about being on the B side? I think so, yeah. So what, did something happen in Dayton in 1913? Like, did the town flood? I think so. I got a research done on that one. Alright. I think it's just Dilloway. Is this just Dilloway? Yeah. I think this was originally released on another label in like 2006 or something like that. And then this came out like 2008, 2009, something like that on Hanson.

This is like my favorite artwork on Hanson, I think, with the the just like the white block in the front with just the two eyes and then the red you know Hanson template in the background and uses like a different font than like not every Hanson release has the same font on the spine but there is like a dominant

font thing on most of the releases yeah this looks good she's a looker. I enjoy it. Alright, so let's go into a little bit. It's a C30, so jam a little bit off the A-side. Spine Scavenger.

It's a Comp 5 cassette box set that was released in the early nineties. I think a couple of labels had their hand in on it, but RRR is definitely one of them. And definitely the one that released this version of it. It's called sexorama and international industrial noise compilation. It comes in a big old plastic jammer. It's got some cartoons on it. There's some adult stuff going on there.

You know, practice protection. Practice protection, people. This tape's all raw, dog. It's a heavy banger. There's a lot going on here. This was like, it says it was compiled by Merzbau. And it's like, there's a lot of, there's like five different volumes it says in here

over the course of the five tapes. A bunch of different stuff. A lot of swear words, as we'll say. A lot of no-no parts being mentioned. Those are some long players, too. From the looks of it over here. Is that some sort of weird sex reference I don't know about, Dave? I'm not part of that world.

All right. I don't know what kind of parties you go to with keys in the bowls and safe words. What are those, C60s or C120s? There are long ones, yeah. Let's see if it says it on there. C64s. Five C64s.

I'm going to play, I got a tape in there now, volume three. The track is going to be by Controlled Bleeding. Oh, you know what? That kind of works for the body. But I would have liked to see that wrap all the way around and not have a separate piece for the spine. Yeah.

I tweeted out a little bit ago from the Tabs Out Twitter account about how we were doing the theme night, and Brandon Grater responded back that when he was submitting the theme,

some of the artists he was thinking of was Skin Graph, Teeth Collection, and Headbuckle, which I don't think we're going to be playing any of tonight so for two reasons a or one uh don't tell us what to play on our podcast brandon all right no one does that to us and uh we have we've played all of those artists before right yeah and specifically skin graft we played on the last themed episode. Yeah, which actually would be kind of nice. If we could like... If we could play Skingraft, if we could fit Skingraft

into every theme. Yeah. Oh, what if there was one that just didn't work? Hmm. I don't know what we would do. All right, David. It's my turn.
