Did you know this tape was originally designed by the Secret Service
to keep agents from talking in their sleep and giving away secrets?
Is that true? Is that true about all tapes?
Well, just that. Oh.
Woo!
This is actually a recording of me in my sleep.
The CIA made a tape to make me do this in my sleep.
Doesn't everybody do this?
Congratulations to them.
That's what real America is about.
Tabs out.
Tabs out.
Episode what, Jamie?
207.
Cassette podcast.
Episode number 207.
The whole crew.
What's your name?
The whole ass.
Oh, I'm Mike.
I'm Joe.
I'm Jamie.
I was just going to say how the whole ass crew was here.
Because, Joe B., you weren't here last time.
And you've done some rearranging. It's very nice.
My palatial estate. I have it all
laid out here just nice.
Is this a couch?
Is that a futon or a couch?
This is a couch. This is a couch.
This is a... But what about the hard...
That's ranch oak.
This is a ranch oak, kind of
mid-century couch. The cushions have been redone
You reupholstered this?
I didn't
You had it done?
No, my wife did it
And Jamie, I got a bone to pick with you
You didn't tell me you got a new car
Jamie, please
You were supposed to tell us that stuff
Jamie, you got to call me or anything
It is a hybrid
I was thinking about you.
I was inspired.
How do you like it?
What do we get in city?
What do we get in highway?
Well, I only have 162 miles on it so far, but I'm not even at halfway on the gas meter.
Okay.
Have you been doing the numbers?
You're a numbers guy, though.
Have you been really comparing?
What about, do you have the little display that can tell you all the data?
Yeah.
There's a lot of metrics.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I noticed myself, Jamie, as an owner of a hybrid electric vehicle, I get a little bit
worse gas mileage in the winter when it's colder.
Okay.
Just by a little bit.
I thought the bone that you had to pick with me was that I played all these nasty tapes
last episode when you weren't here.
Well, that's separate.
That's separate.
I've already scolded you off air for that.
I'm trying to forget about that and live and let live.
I got a new ride, too.
I got myself a Cybertruck.
A Cybertruck?
Yeah, I went to the dealership.
I couldn't afford the whole thing,
so I financed just the back end of the bad boy.
We did it!
And I got a tape deck hookup,
because it's got the RCA hookup,
so I got a tape deck inside that trunk.
It's nice.
All right, Tab's out.
Now that we got that all the way,
we know all about Jamie.
Jamie, what'd you finance that bad boy for?
What's the interest rate?
We got a hemi you pulling on that thing.
I can't go into the numbers on the show.
I need a ride to the Arab.
Where did you get it?
Martin Honda.
In Newark?
Yeah.
You didn't stop over or anything?
I could have called with you. I could have negotiated. You work around that area? I live in Newark yeah you didn't stop over or anything i could have called with you i could
have negotiated you you work around that area i live in newark oh you live yeah i know you live
there it was during working hours jamie just say jamie i work at a tattoo shop i work weird hours
okay jamie just say i drove past you weren't there yeah i drove past me and mike drove past to show
you i was doing the um yeah because the test did you test drive it yeah a couple times oh couple oh yeah i need to make sure that i that i like it you know a couple times in the same day
like you got back and it was like i got back and take it out again and then i said i want to take
it out because you did the yeah because the first time i this is such a bad topic for the show but
the first time i drove it i forgot to test out all these features that i wanted to test out like
cruise control yeah and lane assist and things like that.
Oh, you've got that stuff?
Yeah.
Heated steering wheel.
You have a heated steering wheel?
No, I don't have that.
Does it have a screen in it?
Like a big screen?
Yes, that was one of my prerequisites for a new car.
I'm a techie guy.
That's the problem with you millennials is you're always looking at your screens.
Yeah.
Oh, here comes Jamie now.
All right, I'll talk more about it off air uh who wants to play a tape first
oh can i talk real quick about oh my god it's non-stop about um spotify just a quick quick psa
are you not using it anymore either like larry oh no no no i just wanted to say how they flagged
some of our episodes oh that was and uh oh yeah Oh, yeah. Why'd they do that? That's so mean. We had to scramble
and then Delaware Dan
helped us out
by recording over those songs.
So if you...
The website still has
the actual episodes,
but Spotify
and all the,
I guess,
podcast aggregators
or whatever you want to call it
have these new episodes.
So it would be
episode 172, we played low.
That sub pop, that got taken down.
You don't have to go through the whole thing.
You want people to just find the
Give them the numbers.
I went back and listened to all these episodes and
it was very fun, especially listening to
episode 47 because it is
so different than the format now.
You guys used to play one tape and then talk
about it, play another tape and talk about it.
We don't have time for that anymore.
We had all the time in the world back then.
All right, I'll just go through the episodes.
If anybody wants to do the deep dive,
episode 172, 158, 141,
bonus year-ender 2019, not to be confused with 2020,
82, 205, and 47.
Could you do those in order, though?
Because I got all confused.
Actually, 82 is taken down because we couldn't figure out what song.
Oh, it's the Sega one.
Yeah, but we couldn't find it in the episode.
Isn't it when someone played the sample?
Sega!
They would flag the whole episode for that?
I would.
Okay.
We'll have to look for that.
Podcast aggregators, more like podcast agra-haters.
Aggravators. Coming after my ass
Actually
Let's split the difference
With my headphones
Stop with the fucking headphones
For real
Just be fine with it
I want 50% more monitors
In my bass cabinet
Yeah
We have the technology
Yeah
I couldn't hear myself enough
I need all the right tones
All the perfect tones
Scoop the mids
Yeah scoop the mids Speaking Yeah, scoop the mids.
Speaking of scooping the mids and perfect tones, who's got a cassette tape?
Jamie, why don't you grab one?
So, Mike has, I think we mentioned this last episode, but Mike is back into tapes.
Big time.
He is messaging us every day, band camp links for stuff.
And when he first started doing it, I got excited and I was just buying the tapes because
I was like, oh, that's cool. That one's cool. And you fell right into his I got excited And I was just Buying the tapes Because I was like Oh that's cool
That one's cool
And you fell right
Into his plan
Yeah personally
I'm just trying to
Bankrupt Jamie
And this is a tape
From Italy
What's that got
The double color shell
It's got the
It's got Ukraine colors
Oh
I don't like to get
Political on this podcast
You know what I did
Was send Jamie a link
To a bunch of cars
And he's been buying them
I don't like
Oh yeah
Because you were like
You really need more
Space in the back
Yeah Because you gotta help me move soon jamie a sordo by twonky twonky twonky these are
difficult things to say um very interesting that there's so much red and yellow and black with the
artwork but then oh no the shell has oh wow beautiful. Yeah, but I would have liked to seen
a yellow-red shell.
There's no blue.
There's no blue.
The only blue is on the shell.
To me, this says you found these blue and yellow shells
and bought them.
On discount.
On discount.
From Ukraine.
From Ukraine.
You guys are getting discounted Ukrainian tapes
on the cheap.
I'd like to see who owns that parent company.
Just saying.
Follow the money. Follow the money. So'd like to see who owns that parent company. Just saying. Follow the money.
Follow the money.
So this tape is kind of like a weird outsider funk.
Oh, weird outsider funk.
Oh, it's funky.
Yeah.
And this is from, where did you say, Italy?
It's from Italy.
It's on a label.
Oh, Paisan.
It's on a label called Villa Recordings, but the A in Villa is a triangle, kind of like
a witch house.
Oh, like a witch house thing.
I was just talking about witch house the other day. suck i like it though twonky is witch house still
a thing i don't know i don't think so i think that kind of went away oh i got to imagine it's
it's going strong you think there's a hard oh yeah seven people seven people still into it way
too hard wearing those big pants and the chains is that what witch house was big pants and chains i saw salem once they didn't dress like that no okay i don't even think of
mc hammer what about the chains though you can't witch house i'm sure you have chains or something
all right twonky i'm excited for talking what's wrong with that hulk hogan i love
i forget what exactly this sounds like So I'm excited to hear it
What label is this on?
Villa
Villa
With a triangle
But the triangle
You don't listen to Jamie
I was doing something very important
I was doing my taxes
You didn't do your taxes yet?
Oh please
I just
I did mine a little bit ago
You know
Worked out pretty good this year
Well since
Only owed a little bit
Well then you want to
Use that
That tax rebate and play a
I didn't get a rebate
We'll play a tape
Then pick a tape Joe
I'm going to play a tape that Larry sent me
Out of the blue Larry's a friend
That we've talked about a lot
Why'd you do air quotes when you said friend
I didn't do that Larry
I didn't do that
I'd like to have Larry on as a guest one time
If you'd be okay with that
Because he buys tapes all the time
Oh yeah?
Yeah
We have a rapport with Larry
Yeah, he can come over
Alright, cool
Open door, come on in
Alright
I'm gonna play this Noothgrush tape
Hell yeah, dude
Kashyyyk
Is that how you say it?
I don't know
Kashyyyk
Kashyyyk
Kashyyyk
Kashyyyk
Kashyyyk
Jamie, do you even know what that means?
Yeah, do you know what that is?
No, I don't You're're so stupid. Oh my god.
Come on. It's the planet that...
You do it.
It's the Star Wars planet, Jamie.
That's where the Wookiees are from. That's where the big dog is from.
And everything on the... That's Tatooine.
No, Jamie. The big dog.
The big one. It's weird. I've only seen all the Star Wars
movies like one time. It's funny on the cover
is all little, you know, collage of
people from Star Wars, except there's one in the upper right hand corner a picture of dr zeus from planet of the apes
so just kind of a fan of that kind of future yeah because star wars took place a long time ago
and i think plenty of takes place in the future so they're just a fan of kind of like
film that isn't happening now it happened either a long time
ago or it's about to happen and i think oh this is their demo that just got re-released this is
originally released in late 95 this is newt chris still playing i don't know i got a tape from the
90s that i'm going to close it out on today so this tape he's foreshadowing the original jv that
was cool the original demos were
just they would find tapes and just dub the demo over the tape and then that was what you got yeah
you know so there was no like addition self-release diy dumb as shit tape oh and then they also added
to the collage over the years so it started with the same cover it It wasn't even a collage. It was just one picture of Dr. Zayas.
It says the early copies were a sparse cover
and later copies a cover collage like this one.
That's a fun thing to do.
That like every, you do a collage,
but every time you put out another issue of it or another.
You change it.
You add to it.
You do a little collage work yourself.
Hasn't every member of this band been in like,
these guys were all in other crazy good bands, right?
You know what?
I don't even really know.
Like Jenny Piccolo.
Well, I think not on this recording,
because on this one, Chio plays drums.
Okay.
I know one dude was in like The Haters for a spell.
I'm pretty sure the drummer of Jenny Piccolo was in the band for a bit.
Okay.
Yeah.
Or something like that.
Were they from...
So they're a San Diego band.
San Diego band.
And they're either together now or not.
Right.
Interesting.
And this is the 30th anniversary.
Isn't that kind of crazy?
Wow.
Wow.
That takes me back.
So they re-put the demo out.
So that's what I'm playing.
And this is on a label that they put the really complex logo really small let me say it because i think
i know it jamie play me like a scary like sound yeah scary sound and give me reverb if you can
let me get take your time and i also hear a hum oh no they're from san jose i hear that too and i
was hoping that it was just me i don't hear it i hear it i don't like it. I believe this is on Transylvania Recordings.
All right, cool.
Hell yeah.
Now you go.
I don't think I've listened.
Noothcrush is a big reference band, aren't they?
Because Noothcrush itself is a Dr. Seuss reference.
Oh, it's a Dr. Seuss reference.
Kashyyyk is a Star Wars reference.
And a lot of the songs on here are Star Wars related songs.
I feel like I had all the ron
judlin waste this is funny i like this star noga i think is star wars reference god i wish i had
that that it's been a long no it's on my soundboard i don't um i feel like i had a seven inch by this
band a split seven inch that had like some cartoon on the cover i forget what
cartoon it was it was on clean plate records i don't remember i shouldn't have brought it up
i feel like a fucking spanked ass even bringing it before you play a tape i just want to read
some lyrics real quick yeah good do it give me a little reverb though jamie give him a reverb
jimmy and not the kind you gave me that was like the good kind reverb give him real and really do it okay when he doesn't i know when he doesn't do
it and just looks at you all right please like a deer in headlights worthless bitter hate destroy
all nagging itch futile search nothing return to slave Hell yeah I only gave it to Joe
You wanted to?
No that was the audience
That's like a cool hip poet thing Jamie
Slam poetry the 90s
I'm doing a rock block
I'm going to do a rock block
I'm going to start off
With this tape
It's already funny
It's called Poopoo PP
Oh my god
So Joe can you get mad at Mike now?
Yeah I'm mad at every
Well you started it
And it's like a virus
No
No
He likes when it's gross and clinical
And there's pustules and
Yeah
Urinary tract infections
Yeah
Fetid anus
And I'm more like Poop-poo-pee-pee,
and there's a guy on the front holding
some sort of... Oh, you're into skivvity toilet?
It's skivvity toilet.
What has he got? I don't know.
He's a chef or something on the cover.
Something on a baking tray, but I can't tell
if it's a cut of salmon or two really
long strombolis. This is a
reissue. I like that it's a...
I like that the cover is of a cd jewel case
yeah thank you it's um a reissue of the cd on 100 bootleg cassette tape company oh cool all right my
favorite air label yeah one of your faves uh i didn't notice that it was a cd on the front
somebody pointed that out to me you're so dumb i like that it has the cutout in the barcode like like it was on discount or whatever don't they do that well they don't want
us reselling it he doesn't want us reselling it i don't really understand i don't really know much
about the cutout in the barcode the little hole punch because can i still scan it right there
um i don't know how barcodes work i don't know either i don't know how they work i don't get
them i don't use barcode 666 mark of the beast dude and i think when you put the hole in it i think it's more of a deterrent
i took the red pill man now what do you think is that the good one or the bad one well it depends
on your frame of reference isn't there a black pill too don't people talk about the black pill
i've never heard that i don't know which there's one that's Little yellow different What?
What's that?
It's a medicine Oh it's a medicine
So you would think
By looking at this
It's called poo poo pee pee
Yeah
It's got the guy with
Either two salmon
Or like
A stromboli
No no one salmon
Or two strombolis
Well it's two cuts of salmon
What do you think it is?
Oh two cuts of salmon
That's like a liter of fish
He's got a liter of fish
On that plate
Or some kind of potato product.
I want to know what Jamie thinks of it.
Jamie, what do you think of this?
Oh, I got to reach so far down.
And what do you think it's going to sound like?
I have no clue.
Because I put it on and it kind of reminded me of like Don Cab.
Oh, really?
It's rock?
It's rock and roll, baby.
Oh, you said it was a rock block.
This is my rock block, baby.
I think that's a full rack of ribs.
So it is a meat.
Two full racks of ribs.
Two full racks of ribs. I think it's eight full rack of ribs. So it is a meat. Two full racks of ribs. Two full racks of ribs.
I think it's eight quarter racks of ribs.
Yeah, this is going to be like...
Look at all that lobster meat.
And then the next tape I'm going to play with my rock block,
I think it's just maybe called Cosme.
Cosme.
Cosme.
Oh, I like this cover. This is a rock band too oh what's up
with the guitar player though jesus christ the entire band describe them all right well the
singer is a fun cool wolf the coolest sunglasses on yeah huh no not that one jamie a wolf i have
too many too much stuff going on. No, Jamie Wolf.
The bass player is like a punk lady in a tight, short black dress.
She has a spiked collar on.
The drummer... It's hand-drawn.
Hand-drawn.
Sort of in the style of old Mickey Mouse.
Like the racist stuff.
The racist stuff.
The drummer might be a dog or a mouse i'm
not no i think he's a dog and he's having a good time he's kind of like ringo he's having a great
time keyboard player is a bunny rabbit wait a minute the guitar player is like ringo no the
drummer of the drummer i'm sorry i didn't get to the guitar player yet because he's the worst
and he doesn't fit in the band the guitar player is a skinhead punk with an anarchy shirt on playing a flying V.
And he has his ding-a-ling out and he's peeing.
And he's super pissed about it.
So the other day is poo-poo pee-pee.
This one, the guy's peeing.
Oh, you're a piece of shit.
Does anybody want to get...
Oh, is this from Mexico?
This is from Mexico.
The cover art is what made...
I saw that cover art and I was like, what the fuck is this? I'm going to check this out. Oh, this is in Spanishxico this is a yeah this is from mexico the cover art is what me i
saw that cover and i was like what the fuck is this i'm gonna check this out oh this is in spanish
i can't read this and it's so fun it's so good i'm probably gonna play like a couple of tracks
all of the this is their third demo by the way demo three self-released the uh track titles are
all little symbols if anybody wants to guess what they are i know what they are oh oh it's the
planets mercury and pluto mercury and pluto right yeah that's track one um that's track one um
earth and the moon sun and the moon sun and the moon sun and the moon and then venus
and jupiter he's so good at this ur Uranus and Neptune. But it's close.
Oh, well Neptune is Jupiter.
Yeah.
That's what I've been saying this whole time.
I've been saying most of the planets are just one planet.
Isn't one the Greek version and one the Roman version?
Yes.
You're blowing my mind.
You're like Neil deGrasse Tyson.
Maybe Zeus is Jupiter.
So I can't tell if this is just one
person or if it's a band well it's a band they're on the cover yeah but all this shit but those
those are cartoons those are little racist cartoons they're not racist they're in the style
of racist like the old what was that oh jupiter zeus you were right neptune is poseidon all right
fuck me uh in an era of music in an era of in an era of music streaming and digital downloads,
an old format is making a...
I couldn't stop that one.
Sorry.
Good job, Jay.
All right.
So you can't tell if it's a full band or one person.
Yeah, just from the wording on the band camp and stuff.
C-O-S-M-E.
You figure it out.
So I'm going to end this block with that rock block.
Double dose.

Tabs out his back
Who's that bozo?
That's my tax attorney
What did we have in that block? had uh jim you started it off
with that twonky twonky twonky and then joe b went into the nooth crush hard to that was we
really hammered it out there was some wrong at the end and then you played i played the um what
was the first one ppp no i didn't do that one first i did the no you did poopy i did
which yeah we were saying maybe i was a little bit off with don cab maybe more like i mean What was the first one? Poopy Peepy. No, I didn't do that one first. I did the... No, you did Poopy Peepy first. I did Poopy Peepy first. Okay.
And then Cosmic.
Which, yeah, we were saying,
maybe I was a little bit off with Don Cab.
Maybe more like the fucking champs.
Math Rock.
Yeah.
Fucking champs.
What did you say?
A Minor Forest or something?
Yeah, because there were like quiet parts
that were similar, I think, to A Minor Forest.
Have you seen that movie?
The quiet parts?
Paul Newman.
Let me ask you a question.
Are we doing...
Because people don't know this,
but we have bonus episodes now.
Yeah, bonus episodes.
We should probably mention.
That's the new season.
Head on over to our band camp.
They're on band camp.
Oh, that's what they're on,
band camp.
We're going to figure,
Jamie's got to figure out
how to put the,
no, you don't have to do it,
but you have to figure out
how to tell me to do it.
Okay.
How to put the episodes
on band camp.
But go to band camp and you'll find them there. Yep. Just go to band camp. Okay. Just go to do it. Okay. How to put the episodes on Bandcamp. But go to Bandcamp
and you'll find them there.
Yep.
Just go to Bandcamp.
Okay.
Just go to Bandcamp.com.
Yep.
All right.
They're up there somewhere.
That sounds fun.
All right, Joe B.,
you want to start off this block?
All right, I'm going to come back
with a tape by Black Magic Craft.
You didn't have any more questions
about Jamie's car, did you?
I'm going to talk off air about that.
Is it sticker automatic, Jamie?
Oh, well, i know it's
automatic because he's i don't know i'm very bad but it does have the little paddle shifters behind
the steering wheel have you ever seen those no my wife subaru has that too what is it it's like
little like you know like the flippers on pinball machines it's got those what do they do you can
like downshift and upshift with with those can you it's optional i thought you're gonna say you can midi map it you can midi map it to play uh yeah turn on a siren oh yeah all right black magic
craft dungeon crawls guardians of the seventh tower too scary i can already tell yep you got
a game going on here it looks like i don't think this is a game. This isn't... It's called Dungeon Crawls, and it's not game-related. So this guy is named Jeremy something.
He has a YouTube channel called Black Magic Craft that he started a long time ago,
and it's all, like, tutorials on how to build terrain.
I learned how to make terrain for games by watching these dudes' videos.
No shit.
This guy taught you how to do the damn thing.
His old videos are really, really like not shittily done
but you know recorded with the iphone and stuff but now he's a youtube guy like a influencer he's
an influencer and then he just made a miniatures game called idols of torment which i kick-started
i haven't played it yet though because you kind of i gotta build uh terrain for it don't rush it
it needs specific type stuff don't rush it but It needs specific type stuff. Don't rush it.
But two weeks ago, I went to that game convention, a miniatures game, Adepticon, it's called,
in Milwaukee, Milwaukee.
Oh, yeah.
Which means.
What does that mean?
The good land.
It does mean that.
And it was, it's the biggest miniatures gaming convention in the country.
That's ironic.
That's ironic.
Yeah, it is ironic.
For a miniatures to have something big.
So, you know,
you had Warhammer,
duh, you know,
Warhammer's a big deal there.
Marvel Christ,
all the Marvel stuff,
all the Star Wars stuff.
But there's tons of
indie creators there.
And anyway,
Jeremy had a booth
and I got my picture
taken with him.
I'm going to put that
on the Instagram.
Oh, very cool.
And he just put this tape out.
It's like Dungeons and Dragons.
Were you like,
excuse me, sir?
I did, I was. When I first started building tape out. It's like Dungeons and Dragons. Were you like, excuse me, sir? I did.
I was.
When I first started building grass and broken cabins.
Well, rocks.
Let me start over.
I started with rocks.
Excuse me, mister.
When I started building my broken cabins and rocks, I watched your videos.
I mean, I have some builds that I copied his build.
Oh, shit.
You know what I mean?
The early stuff.
You better hope he doesn't come for you. Figure out how to make a well you know what i mean yo some kid brought a little
piece of terrain and had him sign it oh shit yeah he's a big deal he's a big deal you get him to
sign this tape i didn't i just got a picture with him oh and he demoed his game for us me and mike
have you said his name yet jeremy i can't remember what jeremy black magic craft yeah
he might i might want to dox him he's canadian oh god with the tariffs i'm surprised you even
got this tape um and so what is what is this dungeon synth it's him it's him he's a music
he used to be like in some sort of like industrial band okay and then started the youtube and then
this is i mean his youtube now is like really professional.
Yeah, it sounds like it.
Multiple camera setups.
This motherfucker's asking people to sign terrain for him.
It was so awesome.
It was so cool.
And then I was telling you off air, this convention is put on by Matthias Weeks, who runs Council Records from back in the day, which is now back.
And he was in Ottawa.
Yeah, man.
This episode is loaded heavily with And he was in Ottawa. Yeah, man.
This episode is loaded heavily with late 90s.
Early.
I mean, Ottawa.
He was in Current.
Okay, yeah.
And Current were like early 90s.
Isn't that ironic that Current isn't right now?
It's from a band from before.
So the Miniatures have a big convention,
and Current was a band from a long time ago.
God damn, man.
This is a twist in my mind.
And then Council just put out that Disappearances record
band from Philly
and one of the dudes
was in Kill the Man.
Who questions?
Oh, really?
Yeah.
They played at the Bike Project
with that little kid
hardcore band.
World of Chaos.
I heard that.
Shout out to World of Chaos.
Oh, World of Chaos
are like a little like
little kids from here
that do hardcore.
They're 13 to 15
and they're like a huge,
they're not huge,
but they're getting some buzz. Homework sucks evasion that's their tax evasion that's their
federal and state federal and state what do they know about tax evasion i don't know oh poor guys
okay so this will be the dungeon synth of a guy named Jeremy who does black magic craft.
You know what?
Maybe I'll... Self-release.
I'm going to stay in the same zone with you.
Okay, cool.
Okay?
Are you guys familiar?
He just put out an LP of the soundtrack to his game, too.
I didn't pick that up.
Wow.
So check out Idols of Torment.
That's his game.
It's a cool miniature skirmish game.
It's kind of like you're in their souls and you're trying to reap the souls that's the objectives what's the top five trains you got
rock then what rock ruined castle ruined castle uh moss well moss isn't a train you can put some
moss on a rock okay uh trees right so we got rocks ruin things ruin castle trees sand sand quick sand you don't understand
terrain building um river tiles so you can make little tiles and you can put them together to
make a river well i think if you're going to give jamie shit for sand you can't say water next
water will be this physical thing and it implements a like a movement disability if you're walking
through it i want to do one for a movement penalty i want to i want to do this so jamie's in
sand and i'm like jamie come on and then i go like this desert oh and desert box yeah um the beach
the beach the beach i mean that's easy you just put glue and just drink just sprinkle sand on it
just drink it or Not drink it.
You're not drinking glue again, are you? Once you get it a little more complicated,
then you're building buildings out of wood.
Or faux wood.
You're using foam to make it look like it's wood panels.
Joe was drinking Gorilla Glue.
He said, I want to be a gorilla.
I'm making this crazy terrain board right now.
I'll show you guys later.
It's like a plane.
Planes.
Planes.
Jamie, I don't play modern games.
The Savannah. I don't play modern savannah i don't
play modern warfare games oh well that's a good transition to uh you guys familiar with desolation
planes oh yeah we talked to that this is a good uh well they done right here right well that's
the tape from i think 2023 okay this is pillars of ruination was his name nick
are we allowed to say his name yeah no why not what are you gonna play
well i'm not gonna play that tape i'm gonna play a demo of a upcoming oh you told me that you told
me this so wait a minute is jamie gonna lose his mind about discogs on this oh discogs was down
earlier jamie did you notice that it's been down a lot lately. I don't know what the deal is. Did you email him?
So this is
just something that Desolation
Planes, I guess, is working on for 2025.
I guess it's
maybe some stems.
Oh, some stems. It's just some demos
of some upcoming stuff. I ate a couple stems before I came here.
One cap.
Alright, so I'm going to do that.
That's going to be more in the world of if jamie would
give me some reverb and some scary sound the world of terrains of sand and moss and dungeon
set dungeon set so i'll do that i'll play that uh desolation planes demo 2025 oh at that game
convention too i also hung out with kane from uha Oh fuck I thought you were going to say the wrestler
I thought you were going to say the wrestler
And the undertaker
Wow
I've had a pretty good couple weeks
Met some
Big names
It sounds like it
Kane, Justin
Justin, Jeremy
Jeremy
Greg the Hammer Valentine Justin. Justin. Jeremy. Jeremy.
Greg the Hammer Valentine.
Yeah, it was a blast.
Now, Jamie, me and Bea are in the dungeon right now. Yeah, where are you at?
He's probably at the fucking...
What's your headspace?
You know where he's at?
He's at the car dealership.
Like, let's head for ourselves and go all the way up.
I'm going to take you...
For his fourth test drive.
In one day.
He's like, can you lock me in the trunk and just drive
me around before uh before i do this i i called mike yesterday for a funny seed of a bit and i'm
mainly telling you this because i'm not this isn't a diss but you've are slowly losing hair over time
okay yeah this isn't a diss yeah what if it what if some people balded the opposite way where they
lost the sides and the back first
I've never heard about that
I don't think it's a thing
But what if that also was a thing
Male abstract batter baldness
And eventually like the guy
You know the people that grow it really long
And comb it over
They just have a little bit on the top
That they grow really long
I'd like it
So anyway that was a good
Yeah reverse comb over
So anyway we're in a good fucking bit. Yeah, reverse comb-over. A reverse comb-over.
So anyway, we're in the dungeon, Jamie.
Yeah, where are you?
We are scary.
There are spiders on us.
A man walked by with a sword who was on a quest.
We have one torch left.
I have one single torch left,
and I don't know what I'm going to do with it.
What tape are you going to play?
Well, my guy is in the boiler room of the dungeon
with all the loud machinery.
Oh, so this is a gnome-built dungeon.
Because gnomes use like a steampunk-esque.
It is a steampunk, yeah.
It's machinery.
Yeah, yeah.
Okay, you're in the boiler room with Freddy.
So there's a lot of low rumbles and high-pitched clanging sounds,
and that's kind of the zone that I'm going to take you to.
Okay.
Yeah, what are you doing there?
I know a guy.
Is there a danger that you're trying to fix, or are you
trying to set off an explosion
and we're trying to get out?
He's probably looking for a bathroom.
He separated from the group to find
a bathroom. Roll for initiative.
He doesn't know it.
What tape do you have? I'm going gonna dig you out of this whole so joe um joe what label is this jamie i and you know i don't have my glasses on you know even if
i did have my glasses on i couldn't see that blue show up oh it's rrr it's rrr right you would think
oh i might see it though is this not oh i know what this is. So this is Emil Bolio.
I think that's how you say it.
I don't know how to say it.
I think Aaron Dilloway said it when we interviewed him.
I think he said Bolio.
Bolio.
Really?
Bolier.
Bolio.
Okay, Emil Bolio, who is the recycled guy.
Is the recycled guy.
RRR.
Open up the tape and put your fingers over that J card
and tell me if that is duct tape.
Or a faux finish.
This is a faux finish, Jamie.
Yeah.
This is a replica.
It's a replica.
It's another Ukrainian knockoff.
Huh, this is meta.
Yeah.
Right?
Oh, shit.
Is this meta?
Is it meta, Jamie?
Heavy meta?
Because it's a copy of another person's j card with it's another person's
j card that he put duct tape on and then wrote his name and then made a copy of that it looks
and this is the cover meta would be if rrr did that a different label isn't so that's self
referencing okay it's referencing something else so it's not really meta this is irony
a little bit yeah i think it's irony because i was uh i don't know there someone's at the door who could it be i don't know somebody's all right
so um so i guess it's on orb yeah the guy from orb tapes i guess decided to reach out to ron from
rrr and said you know you haven't done noise in a while you want to put something out and
oh actually that's not it at all wait it's not this is a re-release of something oh my god
jamie's making false memories this this is a hallucination is this a mixtape um hold on let
me oh no never mind because they even they even copied the back of the original cover
it's a mix with steely dan moody blues focus oh my god so this is meta so if and it's ironic meta
so i think what's going on, and if anyone
doesn't know this, RRR does the
recycle tapes. And the recycle
tapes are you send Ron at RRR
Records in Lowell, Massachusetts.
Lowell. Lowell. Some material.
And he will get
old tapes. Steely Dan.
Sade.
Red Hot Chili Pepper.
Record over them with your stuff put duct tape on it write
your name put duct tape over the j card the original j card and make a recycle tape and
what this is they did that but it's ironic or meta it's both because then they made a copy of
that but they didn't just copy the front they copied the back i didn't want to listen to this comp honestly reeling in the air steely dan um uh school's out alice cooper we're an american band grand funk uh bang a gong
t-rex smoke on the water deep purple china grove doobie brothers all the young dudes moth to hopel
b-side uh saturday nights all right for fighting elton John, Frankenstein, Edgar Wintergroup, Roundabout, Yes, Rocky
Mountain Way, Joe Walsh, Ramblin' Man, Allman Brothers Band, Iron Man, Black Sabbath.
This comp is fucking sick.
It's pretty good.
Which song is your favorite?
I mean, honestly, I've really been listening to that Steely Dan record with Reelin' In
The Years on it.
Steely Dan needs to be reevaluated.
That record is perfect, Jamie.
Yeah.
I mean, I almost feel like it's a guilty pleasure, but you shouldn't feel guilty about it.
I shouldn't feel guilty about it because it fucking rips.
Those guys are sick musicians, and the recordings are great, and there's some great stories
behind those sessions.
But, you know, I am a big yes head, too, so Roundabout, you know, I like, that's a good
one.
Is that from Fragile? Yeah, it's from Fragile. And then, I like, that's a good one. Is that from Fragile?
Yeah, it's from Fragile. And then, I mean, who doesn't
love Frankenstein? Yeah, instrumental song,
right? Yeah, and it was all pieced together
with tape. That's why it's called Frankenstein.
It's very, this is a comp, it's sick.
And then they recorded over it. I mean, Iron Man's
a classic. That's Beavis and Butthead.
That's Beavis and Butthead.
Nay, nay, nay, nay, nay.
So anyway. Then they recorded over it. And this is a reissue you said yes it's just a
reissue that's why it's meta so you had so it's ironic you had a 1995 tape this is a 1994 cd
reissued on tape and then in the last block if we do a last block i have 1999 oh jay blow my mind
all right well how are you gonna top that mike, Mike? Oh no, you played Scooby I already picked one
I think, yeah, me and you are in the dungeon
Jamie's in the boiler room
And I'm just going to say this
We don't know what he's doing in there
Alright
I'm not going to say what he's doing in there
All I'm going to say is we don't know what he's doing in there
Alright, sounds good
I'm going to go to the bathroom
Jamie, please Please. I don't know. Thank you. I'm sorry. I am ready to fight For I will fight
I am ready to fight
For I will fight
For I will fight
For I will fight Thank you. I'm sorry. Thank you. so Thank you. To be continued... Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I'm going to go ahead and get back to you guys. uh The. © BF-WATCH TV 2021 Thank you. Oh, coming out of the dungeon with the...
Did we ever figure out Jeremy's last name?
No.
Jeremy Blackmagicraft.
We never even tried.
Just go to his YouTube.
Okay, just go to his YouTube.
Jeremy Spokane. Oh, listen to the voice of an angel Okay just go to his YouTube Jeremy Spokane
Jeremy Spokane
Jeremy Spokane
I'm gonna text that later
No one else can do it
That's good
Jeremy Spokane
Did you see the one
That Dave texted?
No
Yes I did see it
But I don't remember
Bet the recess laid his breast
And then you played a demo
I played that
Desolation Plains demo
A one person
Dungeon synth act
Hailing from the
Frozen prairie land of Minnesota.
That was a demo of some upcoming stuff.
I still, one of my biggest, like,
things that Jamie made me mad about,
like, I have a list of running ones
that Jamie pissed me off about.
Yeah.
But when I was so excited when I first got this tape
and that the one that Link,
he had made the game on the phone
that went with the tape,
it had the rooms
inside yeah yeah yeah and i'm showing it to jamie and he couldn't have fucking cared are you serious
no no i really like that did i just stare at it and you're looking around and i can tell you're
not listening to me and he's doing it now he's doing it right now yeah well he gets overstimulated
it was at a show i'm not breaking breaking no law. I'm joking, Jamie.
And then Jamie, with that, how do you say Emil?
Emil Bolio.
Bolio.
It's not Emil.
I think it's like Emil Blau.
I think it is Blau.
Let's call Aaron Dilloway.
He knows.
Yeah, call him up.
On Orb Tapes.
On Orb Tapes.
Harrisburg.
A new one from, that just came out, right?
That just came out.
Hot off the presses.
They had been hyping it for a while, and they sold me.
Old head episode.
We're doing an old head episode.
Yep.
Well, maybe not this block.
Maybe not this block.
Okay, well, yeah, you ready to end this?
Am I free to go?
Yeah, I'm ready to end this block.
I got to go to work.
I got a full day ahead of me.
That's not my phone. Jamie, you want to start this vlog. I gotta go to work. I got a full day ahead of me. That's not my phone.
Jamie, you wanna start this one?
Can I end it?
Because I have kind of
a long burner.
He is an ender.
I'm looking for my phone
because I had a sound clip
that I just wanted to play
and it was gonna be pretty funny.
This is my phone.
The moment has passed, though.
All right.
Do you wanna go first
or do you want me to go first?
No, you can.
Okay, I'm gonna play this
Electro Gong tape.
Unstruck resonance. An electro gong going to play this electro gong tape. Unstruck resonance.
An electro gong.
What is an electro gong, Jamie?
An electro gong.
I don't know, but you can probably get one of those on Sweetwater.
Oh, I'll look later.
I'm sure Chad will be happy to sell you one.
I'll call.
Oh, my God, it's mixed by Chad.
Chad Meese.
So this is the guy from Sweetwater.
He made the Electro Gong.
Could you even make an Electro Gong?
What would that be?
You just have a gong and then you have an input on it.
It's a big piece of rubber with a little sensor in the middle.
I don't know who this is because I just grabbed it because it looks cool.
He gives a shout out to Tetsuya Nakatani for the wonderful bowls and gong tips.
And to Morph Beats for inventing marvin what's marvin what the fuck is marvin it's like i don't know it's like isn't marvin
pull up a metro gong beat number 759 tatsuya nakatani that's that drummer guy right
japanese guy it's like all crazy i don't know That's not It's not ringing a bell But he invented Marvin
Huh
Yeah
Oh he thanks Bob Bucko
But not Bob Bucko Jr.
Oh different Bob
Oh he's dad
BBJ
He's thanking his dad
Yeah
That's good
Let's
Okay this is
For the old head episode
It's good to take
Bob Bucko Jr.
What label does he run
So I'm guessing this person
Personal archives
Personal archives
Thanks
I guess this person's from
Kansas City Cause they give a shout this person's from Kansas City,
because they give a shout-out to the greater Kansas City
and Lawrence experimental avant-garde freak-ass music scene.
My cousin's from Lawrence.
Yeah.
Well, they got a fucking experimental avant-garde freak-ass music scene.
Yeah, your cousin needs to expand their mind, man.
You know what bands from Lawrence, Kansas is the Appleseed cast.
Oh, the Appleseed cast.
I never listened to them.
Yeah, they're really good.
Where are the get-up kids from?
You know who I just discovered?
Or the American Analog set?
Have you ever listened to that band?
No.
They're from like the 90s and I've never listened to them before.
No, no, I'm saying like I've never listened to them either.
They're good as shit.
Yeah.
Anyway.
Too much music.
Skunk Productions 2025.
Can we quickly just mention the artwork on this?
Oh, the artwork looks...
It's slapping so hard.
It looks a little bit like Dave's 2AM stuff he was doing at one point.
But this is better.
Second gen.
Yeah, this is better.
We're looking at a kind of a hyper-updated second-gen 2AM arts.
Like these little squiggly doodles, but this person shaded them more than they did.
It's 2AM, I must be lonely.
And then the tape itself has that all-over printing that we like.
I like.
We like.
Hit me with a surprise left.
I like it too, the all-over print that you get on the-
Here's what I like about this one that I
think is better than other ones.
All over printing on a
clear tape. Oh yeah.
All over printing on a clear...
Because I remember one time there was all over printing on a Tiger
Village tape and you said that's just okay.
No because he thought that one was going to blow
my mind versus the other one.
And I thought the other one was better. He needed to temper your
expectations. Yeah. Travis Millard is who busted out this artwork oh travis miller yeah i love the little
did he invent the marvin no morph beats invented the marvin the fuck is the marvin
i'm picturing the marvin are you not going morph beats the marvin
he's not there's another time jamie just stared at me
i'm picturing marvin is there's four computers that you guys are sitting He's not There's another time Jamie just stared at me I'll picture Marvin as basically
There's four computers that you guys are sitting at
There are more computers
Plus everyone
Everyone has
Morph beats the Marvin
Marvin Behavioral Health
M-O-R-F
I imagine Marvin is
Like Morph from Star Trek
That's Worf isn't it yes jamie i'm
doing a bit that's why he said like not exactly exactly it's his brother i really think that
marvin is like a rumba that just got like some little kid uh symbols and stuff well i'd like
to know what it is because he might be playing the Marvin It's the electro gong Unstruck resonance
Unstruck resonance
I'm trying to do content
Unstruck resonance is the name of the tape on Skunt Productions
Alright I did find a picture
Of the I think
Oh the micro Marvin
I don't want the mini Marvin
We want the big one
Marvin Classic
It's $1,500 to buy the Marvin.
Yeah, money's not the problem, Jamie.
I got that in my little pocket.
That's only if you pay sticker price, my friend.
Yeah, I can talk them down.
We will talk them down. I have no concept of the size
because they didn't put like a quarter next to it
or anything. It looks kind of
like a grand piano with a bunch of springs
all over the place. You want to come over
and take a look at it? Can you airdrop it to me?
Speaking of looking at things for scale,
Strategic Tape Reserve,
that label from, where were they from?
Germany or something? They're from Spain now.
Spain now.
Did this thing where they took a picture of all
their tapes just to give people an idea
of the size of them next to rocks.
Next to rocks, Next to rocks.
I like that.
Yeah, so this is Aaron Osborne.
Jamie, I don't know if it looks like a grand piano.
There's no keys.
Well, they got a series of downward springs,
and there's a diagonal.
That's my favorite Nine Inch Nails record.
Yeah.
This thing's like the opposite of a high school janitor.
It's got no keys.
It just looks like a whole bunch of springs
Soldered to or welded to a board
Oh hell yeah
It might be soldered
Anyway it looks cool though
Joby expand your fucking mind
No I'm down with it
A bunch of shitty springs soldered to a board is art
No I love art
I went to art school
Yeah
Alright I'm gonna play a lecture
You know about the Zorn palette
I know about the Zorn palette
Yeah
We got a whole batch of tapes came in the mail the other day from a little label just like any
other day little no it's kind of dried up recently oh really from a little label called
and i'll have it here remember when we had sponsors don't talk about our downfall oh
sorry radical documents from chicago illinois i'm not into that kind of stuff
radical documents i like just regular ones just regular just a standard just a pdf just Radical Documents from Chicago, Illinois I'm not into that kind of stuff Radical Documents?
I like just regular ones
Just a standard document
I can probably convert this
I don't like the radical file format
Listen, I got a cracked version of Adobe
I can convert this to a normal PDF
Radical Documents is the label
I like this layout
The whole getup
With all the pink and the
pink clear shell yeah it's got a norelco case and a pink shell the tape and it's they're glowing
but this label sent us a bunch of stuff uh question mark band i feel like uh oh this is
oh this isn't question that's not question. Okay. I'm fairly sure someone in Question Mark Band does the label.
Okay.
This is a collaboration.
Yeah, I want you to say the last guy's name.
That's why I gave it back to you.
How about this year, we'll do a thing.
We'll each say a name.
Okay.
This is between BJ Nilsson.
Right.
John Olson.
Now hand it to Jamie.
You hand it to Jamie.
John Olson.
That was a pretty good catch That was a ricochet
Good would have just
If you just caught it
I did that
I'm like a hacky sack
I hit it off the shoulder
You're loose
Yeah
Read the name
BJ Nilsen
No
No
The last name
This is the shit
This is the bit
Jamie
The bit is
He read the first one
I read the second one
I actually know how to pronounce this name Because I've played this guy on the show before.
That's why we gave it to you, Jamie.
Sig Trigger, Berg, Sig Marson.
You say it real slow like that?
Yeah.
Well, yeah, I have to process it.
Danish?
I forget.
Who are the Dutch?
But he did a great tape on Hanson.
Oh, really?
Yeah.
Sorry, Joe doesn't have his glasses on.
But yeah, the cover art is by Grux from Carolina
Oh Grux
Grux
BJ Nilsson is a Swedish composer
You can call me Grux
And sound artist based in Amsterdam
My friends call me Grux
You want to go out and get some Sprite with me and Grux?
Wait that's not Grux man
You're someone else.
Who are you?
Tom.
Just Tom.
And BJ's known for his focus on field recordings and soundscapes.
Really?
Yes.
And then the last person.
Wait, the cover art says Bonnie Banks, not Grox.
Well, I don't think their real name is Grox.
I think Bonnie Banks is their real name. Thatx. I think Bonnie backs, but, but Bonnie banks is, that's their government name.
Yeah,
exactly.
And then,
uh,
Olson from wolf eyes and,
you know,
American tapes,
the dead machines,
memes on the internet,
insane,
Johnny insane,
insane,
insane every day.
It's really hard.
Is he ever,
and I send them to all my friends who also,
I know follow that account.
So they've definitely seen it already,
but I want to also laugh with someone else. I know follow that account, so they've definitely seen it already.
But I want to also laugh with someone else.
I've submitted two to him, and he has not posted mine.
And mine were very funny.
Yours were good, right?
What was the one good one?
The first one was the, well, you guys might not know the Wiggles.
I know the Wiggles.
There's a tall Wiggles, and I said Tom Jones underneath.
I thought that was very funny.
Oh, you did think that one was funny.
Did it end up on Insane Rejected?
No.
No.
Jamie, you got to lower your sights and start just submitting these to insane there's another one where james hetfield did like a cameo in some
movie i had a cowboy hat and i did jandak on that one oh that was pretty good that's funny jamie
no it's good send these to me i made i've only made one and it's not that good it's kind of low
hanging fruit but i thought it was funny it was the accountants from the office and i put no doubt
that's really that's very funny.
I think I've seen that one.
And that's pretty, pretty spot on.
You got the blonde hair.
You got the.
You made that.
I made that, yeah.
Wow.
Now, I'm not saying that, what do they call it, Jamie?
Concurrent thinking or something, you know, like.
Group think?
Is that group think?
No, that's a, that's a political.
No, not group think. There's like an evolutionary thing, you know, to, to concurrent thinking.
Hundred Monkey Berry.
You know, Tesla and Edison separately.
Moog and Buchla.
Fake.
Fake.
You know?
Hive Mind.
It's not Hive Mind.
Anyway.
The Mandela Effect.
It's the Mandela Effect.
The Bernstein Bears Effect.
All right.
Well, this is cool.
This is going to be noise.
It's called Game Buoys.
Merz Bow.
Do that one again for me just one more time we did that as an opener merz merz bow another uh real quick another before you talk about it i was also at a tattoo
convention last week and my favorite joke and i don't i said it to a lot of people and i don't
think they think they don't get it or they don't think it's funny. Some people don't get it. Is I bring all the Tabs Out stickers and put them on my table.
Yeah.
And just like everybody, there's people who just get all the stickers at a tattoo convention.
Okay, so they just like stickers.
They just like stickers.
They don't even look at any of the stuff on the table besides the free stickers.
Uh-huh.
But also some people bring like their kids.
So, so many kids took like the Garfield Merzbow one.
Oh, good.
The Calvin with the little, with his pecker as a modular cable. No, his pecker's not the modular cable.zbow one. Oh good. The Calvin with the little with his pecker
as a modular cable.
No his pecker's not
the modular cable.
That's the stream of pee.
That's the stream of pee.
You thought
the
He's peeing on the modular.
He doesn't like it.
The ripper one.
The what?
Oh the skateboard one.
And then my sticker
which is just my last name
but the man is the bastard skulls.
So my long con
my long game joke
is that that little girl
then puts it on her bike
And drives by your house one day
Not you
But someone like you
Someone yeah
And you're like
They're like
Wait a minute
The fuck does that mean
Someone like me
Why is the pulse demon logo
On Garfield
On Garfield
There's so many layers
And then they're gone
It just happened so fast
It's on their lunchbox
Happened so fast
Happened so fast
You don't have to
Now you're questioning
If that's even what it was
Yeah So that's the joke
and I think it's really funny. I like that. I think it's a good
long-term investment joke. Yeah, it's a long-term
joke.
I think we both picked the tape, Jamie,
and you were complaining about wanting to go last.
Well, I didn't complain, but it's a
10-minute track that I'm
hoping Spotify won't flag. Snooze.
Holy smokes. Alex Homan or
Delaware Dan might have to talk over it.
Son?
Weakling.
Weakling.
Oh, is that black metal?
Yeah.
Who's in that?
I don't know.
Okay.
You think it's going to get taken down?
Yeah.
Why don't Weakling get taken down?
Well, this was a self-release, but then it got reissued on a label.
So I'm not.
Who did it get reissued on?
If it's Sub Pop or Hasu Mountain, it's getting taken down.
It's a very small label that it got reissued on. Okay it's Sub Pop or Hasu Mountain, it's getting taken down. Very small label that it got reissued on.
Okay.
I feel like that's hard to say.
It got reissued on Tumult Records.
I've never heard of them.
Independent label in San Francisco has released Acid Mother's Temple.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, yeah.
This is getting taken down.
This is gone, buddy.
Skullflower.
Oh, Skullflower.
Matthew Bauer.
Old school.
I don't think it's going to get taken down.
Old head. Well, do you want to bet on it right now? Yeah. Let me see it. Oh, Skullflower. Matthew Bauer. Old school. I don't think it's going to get taken down. Old head.
Do you want to bet on it right now? Yeah.
Let me see it. Let me see the tape.
Hold on. Before I hand this to you,
I spent over $100 for this tape on eBay. Whoa, Jamie. Big money.
$10,000 over. Sucker.
You gotta stop paying sticker price
for all this stuff, man. When you go on
Bandcamp, it's a negotiation.
It's not even the original? Because on Discogs, this is sold for as much stuff, man. When you go on Bandcamp, it's a negotiation. It's not even the original?
Because on Discogs,
this is sold for as much as $200.
So I put a bid on eBay thinking I wouldn't win.
I was just like,
you know what?
I'll put $100
because it'll be a steal.
I'll just put $20 on too.
And then I won.
And the sucker that I beat,
the guy that I beat,
he bid $100
and I bid $101.
You bastard.
And so I won by a dollar.
You said you paid $100. You actually paid more.
You paid $101
and you weren't even trying to do that?
This is what makes me think
how many other instances are like this
where Jamie bids on all this stuff
thinking, I won't win.
And then he wakes up in a cold
sweat every morning. I didn't want to
pay five grand for this. That's how I
bought my Mr. Bungle Raging Wrath of the Easter Bunny tape, too.
How much was that?
$150, but it's usually like over $300.
Wow.
I'm feeling like he wakes up in a cold sweat, checking eBay, saying, oh, thank God.
Thank God I didn't win that one.
Yeah.
Yeah, well.
All right, let's wrap this up, because I've got to go to work.
This is kind of a holy grail tape, so I'll hand it over to you.
This is the original before it was on a label, self-released, limited to 300, super cult classic.
This is a bunch of record listening groups that I'm in.
It's just a blank tape and someone in Sharpie wrote Weakling?
A bunch of record listening groups.
Yeah, I'm in a few on Facebook and a lot of people in those groups have recommended this tape saying it's one of their favorite black metal tapes.
Now, in those type of groups, is it like a book
club where Monday you get,
they're like, here's the tape, and
then Tuesday or Wednesday you guys then
comment on it? No, people just post what they're
Oh, you just post what you listen to.
Do you know that? We have a listening group?
There's a Tabs Out Tape Club on Facebook
and people post tapes that they're currently
listening to. Oh, that's still going? I started that a long time ago.
I didn't know that was still happening. That's cool. That's cool as shit. Scott Schultz posts in it every now and then, but that they're currently listening to. Oh, that's still going? I started that a long time ago. I didn't know that was still happening. That's cool.
That's cool as shit.
Scott Schultz posts in it every now and then,
but that's about it.
But why...
Let me see the cover.
I don't understand.
What don't you understand?
It's like a Kinko's...
It's like less...
This is home printed.
It might be home printed on a...
Normally...
Oh, this is old school.
Larry likes this band
It's great it's a great album
Normally I'm all for this Jamie but you paid $100
I don't want you making it
And this isn't the original
What do you mean
Is this the reissue
No that's the original
Oh that's why
I'm sorry I just got this wet
Oh this is the original Just written, just written with Sharpie.
Yeah.
Oh, Jamie, big money.
Oh, I thought it was a real issue.
Jamie, there's a sticker in here.
Yeah.
Don't stick that on anything.
So, you know, this is a holy grail tape from me.
I've always wanted a copy of this.
Wow, I didn't know you were a baller.
Well, I misunderstood.
I'm sorry.
I program my tape deck to eat every eighth tape.
Yeah, play this off
the band camp
don't
yeah
no I hear you're
supposed to play tapes
because you gotta
keep them lubricated
deadest dreams
but um
yeah I love this band
I love the vocalist
cause like a lot of
black metal bands
kind of do like
the baby
like the
like a
like a
a baby witch
a witch was a baby
yeah
and this guy
is like a a guy in a torture chamber.
He's like,
No!
That's kind of what the vocals are.
Marcy!
I personally feel like that style of vocals
complements black metal a lot better than the Baby Witch.
Jamie, I'm going to listen to this on the way to work.
Jamie, I feel like now is when you do your character now that you were trying last time about the Boston guy who owns the mom and pop go-to shop.
But you need to be doing it for black metal.
You need to be saying, there's that over here.
I got all the baby witch.
Black metal over here.
These are the torture chamber ones.
But you do it in your character.
This is your time to shine man
We're just workshopping it still

Duplication CA has purchased a cassette manufacturing plant in Ohio.
Wow.
I forget what it was called.
I think I used that for my nativity and Frank tape.
What was it called?
Because some of the,
I think the Hasu,
a bunch of labels use them.
They don't,
it's kind of,

Is that it?
Maybe.
A to Z Audio.
Is it in Parma, Ohio,
or something like that? Yes, Parma, Ohio. Yeah, that's it. They just bought it. So you're saying Duplication CA bought A to Z Audio? Is that it? Maybe. Is it in Parma, Ohio or something like that? Yes, Parma, Ohio.
Yeah, that's it. They just bought it. So you're saying Duplication CA
bought A to Z Audio.
Is that where Drew Carey's from?
