Starting point is 00:00:00 Damn it, Jamie. Oh, I got to change the sound outputs on all these different boards to be... Okay, I got it. Are you serious? Tabs out. Yeah, I was on an airline. Oh, shit. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:00:11 What did you guys do before I got it? I have no clue. I have no clue. No, the one soundboard works. The other sound boards don't want to work. Well, that's the thing about... Yeah, I was on an airline. Okay, they all have to work, Jamie.
Starting point is 00:00:23 All right. Tabs out podcast. And I was on an airline the other day in the bathroom looked just like this, actually. I don't know if that was the right one, but okay. That couldn't have been the right one. Turn my headphones down just a little bit. I have one. Or do I have that?
Starting point is 00:00:36 You have it over there. I think I have one. What? That's something that come I'm in with. Oh, you do? I do. I got a better one. Okay.
Starting point is 00:00:46 What are we doing? Play this, Jamie, play the, is my thing I'm mute it? Yeah, everything is. Okay. Play the, play the thing again. The whole thing? The intro, yeah. Yeah, play the intro again.
Starting point is 00:01:35 Tabs out, cassette podcast. So number 24. 214. Is that double-check that for me, but I think that's what it is. 2-14, you know what I mean? Is this the first episode of the new year? Yeah, it took us all the way to February. Oh, happy birthday.
Starting point is 00:01:50 Wait, it's not the birthday. Is this the new season? What are you talking about? Are you talking about the podcast? Yeah. Yeah. In an era of music streaming and things have seasons, we're in season 12.
Starting point is 00:02:04 I don't think we've ever had like a season. I think like... I'm trying to start it, fresh, new... You know, when a show comes back and it's got a, you know, the producers tried to jazz it up a little bit. They tweak it. Yeah. Like when we got Jamie.
Starting point is 00:02:17 Yeah, that was the last time. That was it. Now we need, we might either need a new cast member. Yeah, you're telling me. Or, you know, a little rebrand. Or something. Or like one of us gets a pet. A flash forward.
Starting point is 00:02:31 A flash forward. Or a flash sideways. Oh, a sideways one? Okay. All right, now we're cooking. Um, no. What were we talking about? We weren't, well, we were talking about the beach before we started.
Starting point is 00:02:46 Oh, no, I remember what we were talking about. And I said, hurry up and start the show so I could say this. So here's my idea. Here's my idea. Here's my idea. My idea is, you know, like, the people who do the character, character drawings. Characterature? It's a hard word to say.
Starting point is 00:03:01 I'm sorry for, yeah, because it's hard for me to say. I, to be honest, I don't think I can nail drawing either. The drawing part. I can do that part. It's maybe if we work to caricature. Yeah. Jamie, you say it. Sometimes you say, Jamie.
Starting point is 00:03:15 Carricature. Carricature. Sometimes people hire those people at like a wedding too. That's fun. Yeah, that's cool. Yeah. But at the beach. Yeah, so my idea is one of those, but like they don't know how to draw.
Starting point is 00:03:27 So you sit down and they ask you like, so I'll do it with Jamie. So Jamie, so what's like a hobby of yours? Oh, I like to play keyboards. You like to play keyboards? Yeah. Okay, and where are you from? From New Jersey, originally, and now I live in Delaware. Okay, and I would draw a picture of you in New Jersey playing keyboards,
Starting point is 00:03:47 and you look kind of dumb, and your teeth are big, there's stick lines coming off of you. You just kind of explain to them what it would be. Yeah. Oh, you don't draw it? You don't draw it because I don't know how to draw. This person wouldn't know how to draw, and plus... Oh, I thought the drawing was going to be bad.
Starting point is 00:04:03 There's no drawing. There's no drawing. No, I wouldn't... It's a prompt that you can put in check. G.B.T. because everybody's doing those characters. Stop it. Jamie, please. Stop it. Oh, I'm going to do it when I get home. You put your picture in and then say make a caricature of them? Yeah. It's a viral thing. Oh, it's viral? You don't follow. You don't have normie friends. That's why.
Starting point is 00:04:23 Oh, I don't have normie friends. You do. Why is it I come up with a really, really a hot idea, like a fireball hot idea? It's too conceptual. And you got to bring up chat GPT. Let me do this. It's the guy. He doesn't know how to draw. You're telling him. him a little bit about yourself. How much does it cost? Like if Jamie came up to you and you're, so do you have a drawing pad in front of you? No. You just have a stool that you're sitting on? Wake me up. You think I need a stool? I was just going to be standing there. My idea was I would be standing there. If you're just like propped up against the boardwalking like, hey, you want to not draw, you'll mean to describe a picture? Got it. Five bucks. Yeah, five bucks sounds right. I think they're kicking you off the board book.
Starting point is 00:05:14 Who's kicking me off? Security. I guess I didn't consider that. Well, anyway. I guess this could be expanded into like, if people who do album artwork and like some like I could like I could tell somebody you need artwork for your tape, I can do it.
Starting point is 00:05:34 What do you sound like? All right, here is your new toilet. And you just tell them what the cover should be. Yeah, I think like a couple of orbs would look good. Well, like a ladder going into one of the orbs and a bird is flying out. And there's, what is the thing called when the burst of light? I think you need to team up with someone who does art. A what?
Starting point is 00:05:53 Supernova? A flare. A flare. A flare. And it's got a rubber baby lens flare in the eyeball in the eyeball in the middle. There's an eyeball in the middle. You need to team up someone who does art but has no ideas. Oh.
Starting point is 00:06:05 Like, they know how to do it, but without a prompt. all right and they can do anything but if you just sat him in a room they just sit there because they don't know what to do art direction i think i think i think i just that's art direction i think i think i think i did so you're telling me when not when i see like art direction in credits all that means is some guy he's like uh so what do you sound like okay but blue maybe maybe it's blue yeah yeah that's someone's job wow i need to get that job and then the artist will work really hard on it and show it to the art director and they're like nope makes the orbs bigger too scary the orb should be bigger and the lens should be more more flare more of a little more
Starting point is 00:06:47 more honestly it needs more a little bit more flare all right well let's I ran out of everything to say about that so Jamie what kind of cassette tape you got oh you're starting with me yeah you got there you go oh I need after a run like I just had I need to kind of sit back and relax oh yeah can you feel it guys I can you feel it guys I I can feel it. All right. Well, I'll tell you this.
Starting point is 00:07:13 Riddle me this, Jamie. I'm going to pass you around a tape. Do you want to take a look at it? And there's, this is a compilation tape. Oh, it's Rolling Stones? Yeah, it's a Rolling Stones tape. Yeah, it's got the tongue on the front.
Starting point is 00:07:27 With the lips, it's got the Stones logo. That's the Stones logo, isn't it? It's very, I can, Very similar. From this distance, I'll say it's very similar. I mean, it's drippy. It's an homage.
Starting point is 00:07:37 Yeah, yeah. All right. heavily influenced. Listen to this one. Ladies and gentlemen, Faith No More! So this is a compilation from Germany from 1984, and it has a demo from Faith No More
Starting point is 00:07:50 from Before We Care a Lot came out. What? I just found this on Discogs. How were you? So what? Oh, that's cool. Leave me down the path you went on to get to this, because this seems like you weren't just searching for this comp
Starting point is 00:08:03 because you knew about it. He knew about it. You already knew about this comp? I don't think I did. And I don't think a lot of it. lot of people, especially like big, like, you know, I've been, I've been around a while. Here he goes. He loves.
Starting point is 00:08:15 On the Mr. Bungle, Faith No More. Here he goes. What. Go ahead. But, but this is one I just discovered purely from this guy, is just because it was from 19, it's like one of the first compilations Faith No More was on. So I just had it in my want list. And then it showed up.
Starting point is 00:08:28 And I was like, ooh. You know how there's a thing called a humble brag? Yeah. You ever heard of humble brag? Yeah. Humble brag. Jamie does these things. They're called Bungle brag.
Starting point is 00:08:35 Bangle. Where he brags about how long he's been into Mr. Bungle. Jamie, what label were Faith and the War on? Well, they were on Epic Slash when Mike Patton joined, but in the 80s, I think they were on... Gosh, I don't know. London, maybe? Okay, I just want to make sure they're not on EMI ever, because the sticker on this tape says DIY, not EMI.
Starting point is 00:08:58 Oh, EMI. Oh, okay. Hell yeah. So this is a punk rock tape. This is a punk rock tape. It's a comp with a lot of just, straight up underground punk rock artist from the 80s and Faith No More happens to be in the mix.
Starting point is 00:09:14 As Faith No More? As Faith No More. But with Chuck Mosley on vocals and there's two tracks. They're both, they both ended up on the We Care Allot album, Mark Bowen and Arabian disco. And Mark Bowen is probably like my favorite Faith No More song.
Starting point is 00:09:27 Yeah, that's the Stone's lips. That's the Stone's lips, but this one's all, I mean, it's all goopy. Yeah, it's goofy. Yeah, with a minor edit to it. Yeah. Minor, with a minor drippiness to it. They definitely add it.
Starting point is 00:09:38 I don't know. I like when Jamie described it. He just said, it's got the tongue. It's got a tongue on the front. But to me, it's the, I don't call it the Stone's tongue. Never heard of them. I'm like, if I went to get a tattooed, I wouldn't say, let me get the Stone's tongue. Jamie's like, rolling. The lips. Rolling Stones never heard of them. And you're like, you know, Mick Jackersband. And he's like, Mick, but he has known for his lips.
Starting point is 00:09:59 He was in a band. I don't know his solo stuff. Well, this is in, it's in black and white. So, you know, I need the red to really trigger that Rolling Stones. Jamie's got a very particular kind of It's like a colorblindness But he can't identify logos Unless they have their true like PMS colors Yeah PMS. PMS PMS. PMS.
Starting point is 00:10:18 Pantan matching system. Come on, fellas, get with it. So who else is on this comp? Do you know any of these other bands, Jamie? Like did they go on to do things? I've only heard of one other artist And that artist is named Doc War Mirren At the bottom? No.
Starting point is 00:10:33 Yeah. But yeah. Jeez. Born without a. face, Arkshiva Zababa, glorious din, baby astronauts, dikastrisia, uniform choice. Yeah, so just
Starting point is 00:10:46 Uniform choice. Oh, uniform choices on this. I've heard of them, right? Aren't they like a hardcore band? Yeah. Straight-edge hardcore band from Newport Beach County. Oh, that's cool. So I think the funny question now, after all that is to say, so what are you going to play from this, Jamie? I am going to play I don't want to get it taken down.
Starting point is 00:11:04 Wasn't there like a fish dying in that video? He didn't actually. Maybe. Didn't they have to take it out? Didn't they remove the fish from the video? I still have it on the VHS. Okay. No one came and like took out the, like spliced the tape out. Took the fish out of Jamie's home recording his bootleg.
Starting point is 00:11:22 Or maybe it's like a mandala effect. Maybe it's not there anymore. And we're just all talking about it. Never was. Yeah, never was there. Damn. You really got me thinking. All right.
Starting point is 00:11:30 So somebody's got to follow up that tape now. I'm going to play it. How are you going to do it, Joe? Following up Faith no more. Yeah. So my whole block also has a theme, Jamie, usually have a theme. Oh, wow. Very proud of you.
Starting point is 00:11:46 Actually, maybe not this one, but maybe. Okay, never mind. No, this one's just inspired by the theme. You know, me and Mike and Larry had a lovely weekend. And we went to a scary music festival. Oh, my God, Jamie, bats. Scary sounds right now. Yes, tell them about this thing.
Starting point is 00:12:01 Oh, my God. We went to a three-day black metal festival, but we went for two days. I wouldn't have been able to handle three days of the heart of winter. Well, we didn't even handle two. Technically me and you, we did one and a half. I felt like I was in a goosebumps. Yeah. The scariest people there who were just so committed to the bit of being black metal. Yeah, it was interesting. It was a, it was a fun anthropological journey. It was. Or mission, expedition. Where was this? It was in Richmond, Virginia. Oh, you went all the way to Richmond? We went all the way to Richmond. We got an Airbnb.
Starting point is 00:12:41 I got us a nice little, like, you know, industrial building turned into little, uh... Oh, gentrification. Oh, big time gentrification stuff. That's what they're calling it. Yeah. I got to say about the... I liked it, though. I got to say about the Black Metal Fest.
Starting point is 00:12:55 I don't know. We've had this discussion already, Joe. And I don't know if it's just, I'm not like into the music enough to know. We're not in tune enough. Like I like... Because obviously the whole time gone this, every single band, I think it's been the same band over and over again. I like black metal stuff.
Starting point is 00:13:11 Don't get me wrong. But I guess I only have a few go-toes. It's not my main thing. Yeah, me too. Me too. So when every band wore black metal, to me and Mike, we were like, okay, but Larry speaks the language a bit.
Starting point is 00:13:28 So he's like, well, no, that one's more... That one's atmospheric... Yeah, that one's more up-tempo. Yeah. He's like, they're way more rock and roll. The way... Yeah, it's way more of the... Rockside.
Starting point is 00:13:36 What? It's the same band. There were three standouts to me that... There were a few standouts to me, but it was also, I was taken aback by the fact that if you told Jamie, you love your precious chattee, GPT, you love your AI. Yeah. I feel like if I told AI make a black metal festival with only black metal fans there, it would have made this.
Starting point is 00:13:56 Yeah. It was, they loved the stuff. And then when you went outside, when you were like, I got to get outside, I got to get away from it. They're just all like around a Bluetooth speaker listening to black metal. And that's a true story. Not just a Bluetooth speaker, but also, like, in a van in the alleyway blasting black metal. But it made me think, like, well, if you go to, like, No Fun Fest and you aren't really into noise, are you just thinking that all this sounds exactly the same?
Starting point is 00:14:24 And why are people listening to, like, noise outside? Why are they listening to noise in their car? I could see that. Yeah. I don't know. Yeah, but I don't think so. I think it's way more varied. This was not much variation.
Starting point is 00:14:37 I can't believe I made it out alive. I can't believe these goons didn't peel off my skin. But it was fun, Jamie. I can't believe. It's still fun. That's great. Fun. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:45 Was there any corpse paint there? Or was it? Yeah. People still do that or now? You know what? Yeah. I don't think there was. No.
Starting point is 00:14:51 I don't think there was. No, there was definitely some artists with some, at least like black here. Yeah. Joe's pointing under his eyes in case. Oh, sorry. And he, one master? His butt. Not one master.
Starting point is 00:15:02 but one of nine didn't have makeup on one of nine i think had like uh cloaks oh they had cloaks they were shrouded in mystery yeah that's right because they're like the ring wraiths from uh that's a tolkien reference you're gonna see a lot of Tolkien yeah there jamie a lot of Tolkien references yeah so there is like a dungeon synth crossover but well i was hoping for at least one band that sort of was dungeon synthy yeah because it said like a weekend of black metal it might be even said doom. Right. And it didn't use the word
Starting point is 00:15:36 avant-garde. Avant-garde, I think, basically. Oh, avant-garde black metal. But I think like... It was just... I think one of nine scratched that itch for the black metal scene of being avant-garde, right?
Starting point is 00:15:46 Yes. I think it's avant-garde when there's like a guy going, like the high operatic. You ever hear that? Yeah. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. I think that like the difference, what separates the black metal
Starting point is 00:15:56 from the Dungeons synth fest is that the Dungeons synthest, those people all went to their friends' basement. but the Black Metal Fest, they're all in their own basement. Okay. And I think that's like what separates the two. Okay. A lot of overlap, but I felt like I felt a little safer in a dungeon synth.
Starting point is 00:16:17 Yeah, yeah, yeah, because there's more nerds. I could kick so many asses there. They're more dorks, the dorks of extreme blackmail. Yeah, a lot more just like, you know, these people were maybe some scary. Arsonists. I think we had a few arsonists. scary people. No, but lovely weekend. So the first tape I'm on to play. So one of the standouts for me was Krieg, you know, Krieg, Jamie? No. No? I think he's been doing it for 30 years.
Starting point is 00:16:45 Okay. I don't know it. Um, but a guy I know from Delaware plays Basin Creek. He's been in Creek for like 10 years. Delaware connection. Yeah, Delaware connection, uh, Bill. So does Chris know this is going on? Chris Hogue? Oh, uh, yeah, he knows that. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Howg. She's Jesus Christ. We'll cut it out, Jake. I'll blow that saxophone. So this is a collaboration that Krieg did with the body. You know that band?
Starting point is 00:17:12 Rhode Island band. Rhode Island duo. Yeah. It's different than body. The body. The body. And this came out a while ago. Hold on.
Starting point is 00:17:20 I can't read the... Do we got lighting in here or nothing? Jimmy, hit the Christmas lights. I won't do anything. He's like looking all around the wall. I pointed at the thing on the wall. Oh, I got... Never mind.
Starting point is 00:17:31 I found it. Could you possibly be looking for? You know, the standard where a light switch goes. I pointed at the switch and he did like a Stevie Wonder type. Oh, you have him hooked up to the light switch. That's how you do it? Yeah. 2013, this came out.
Starting point is 00:17:47 Okay. So this is Krieg, but it's just the main guy. You know, Krieg is just one dude. Yeah. And he has people to play that you're familiar with that archetype, right? Yeah, yeah. The leader of the pack. The leader of the pack.
Starting point is 00:17:59 But for this, it's just the dude from Krieg. I think he had an acoustic guitar and like effects pedals and then the body. And then they just, I guess they improvise. And they're drums and guitar, right? Drums and guitar. Or is it drums and bass? Maybe, I'm not sure. I haven't seen him in a while.
Starting point is 00:18:13 So that's the tape. I'm going to play and I got that on our, my lovely weekend. This is just for, um, listeners wondering this, that was what a guitar story. That's weather. Weather wasn't great though, Jamie, rained the whole time. But we need it for the plants, the crops. And we can get into this later, but we need, we need that rain. So we didn't get to do a lot of sightseeing.
Starting point is 00:18:33 Yeah. Yeah. Richmond to see Bush Gardens. Well, I wanted to go to Guarbar, but they didn't know until four. Oh, okay. And we were already in the dungeon, at the basement of the scary, the second venue, which was scary. And we should mention the venue was also comically scary. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:47 The first venue was just a club, like a bar. The second venue was like another old industrial building in the heart of gentrification. Okay. It was like the race. Like all the other buildings around it are braced. brand new condos and stuff. And this is the last holdout, this building that the people refused to sell.
Starting point is 00:19:09 And I'm pretty sure this was an illegal show. Was there a rave scene in like Blade? Oh, big time. Oh, yeah. It was like that. It was like that. It was like that. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:19:18 Let me see this tape. The, um, where the merch area was, Jamie. Yeah. There were these gigantic, again, we're in like a basement. Yeah. Um, not up to code. Only one exit. Yeah, no egress.
Starting point is 00:19:31 No egress. Oh, my God. Is that type of bird? Yeah, and there wasn't a single one down there. But it's like, there are these sliding. Hold, let me just get this out real quick, that you send a canary into the coal mine, but you send an egress into the venue. Into the venue. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:19:45 There were these sliding, I don't know, two inch thick metal sliding vault doors. Two inch thick, Joby, they're like six inches thick. Really? They were huge. And just, there was three of those doors, but one was slid open, and it was the other big, you know, room in the basement, and that's where the merch was set up. It was like a meat vault. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:06 I picture this place being some sort of meat facility. So was it, was there like more than like 200 people there? See, well, I'm not good at, I'm not good at spatial stuff like that, casting jelly beans in the, in the, in the jar. And let me tell you, it was impossible to count them because they were all in the same uniform. It was like, where's Waldo? Yeah. Like, I got him already. Was there multiple stages?
Starting point is 00:20:27 No. One stage. So you had to watch everybody break down their big drum set with. the double bass and... Honestly, I felt like it was pretty... Yeah, pretty fast. They were so excited to be doing it that they... Yeah, it was all very quick.
Starting point is 00:20:37 They were so excited to have a stage to play on finally. Where was I going with the scary place? Oh, and the pillars, Jamie, you know, the big stone pillars that are supporting this building. They... Someone had, like, used spray foam and sculpted it to look like, like stalactites and stalagmites. That's cool. So, it was really cool. I thought it was real stone at first and then I, like, knocked on it and it and it's all foam.
Starting point is 00:21:00 I could tell it wasn't, but I was still scared. I thought someone brought huge rocks down there. I thought they built the venue around the rocks. But, yeah, it was very fun. Anyway, this tape is from that hall. Well, I'm going to play an older one, too, since both of you guys are playing older ones. Jamie, what year was yours from? 84.
Starting point is 00:21:21 And Joe, yours was from 2013. 13. I got a tape here. I picked up the other day, a record store in Wilmington, Delaware, Jupiter Records. They have a tiny little cassette selection. They do. They got some noise there. That's where I got those weird...
Starting point is 00:21:36 That's where I got those weird robot tapes. Yeah, the Tiger Electronics tapes, yeah. Nice. Yeah, we've been in the last few episodes. Yeah. I found the sunburn hand of the man tape. Yeah, there'll be some gems there sometimes. You're like, what are...
Starting point is 00:21:51 That's where I got those weird, like, old hardcore punk tapes, too. Yeah. What? We're doing a plot. I thought we're talking about you of a record. No, no, it's true. That's where you got them. Let me give you a little primer on.
Starting point is 00:22:02 I'm sorry, let's talk about the thing that you got. Acid X on tape drift. I'm just trying to, you know. I also got stuff there. That's a standard size twill. Let me see it. What years is this from? This is from 2008.
Starting point is 00:22:15 It was recorded live in Germany in 2007. And it released on tape drift in an addition of 100, about 20 years ago. Can you believe that? Who did tape drift? Is sunburned? Yeah. Slightly different than sunburned hand of the man, like a different lineup, because this is just billed as sunburned.
Starting point is 00:22:35 Oh, that can't be right. That must be a mistake. It must say hand of the man somewhere else on there. You sure it does flip the J-card over to the other side? Is it, like, written there anywhere? Please tell me I didn't buy the wrong thing. Yeah, this isn't, I don't think this is sunburned hand of the man. I think they're just stylized on this J-card as sunburned.
Starting point is 00:22:56 Or, like, maybe they were like, I'm going to work on the artwork. I think this is because John Maloney, right? Isn't that he's in Sunburn, Hand of the Man? I think what happened here is you have, and I've done this before, where you're working on artwork and you say, like, I'm going to do a little bit now and then you get sidetracked. So maybe they wrote Sunburned and then they were like,
Starting point is 00:23:18 I'll come back tomorrow and put Hand of the Man. I won't forget. And then they went to press. Do you, does anyone want to know, some burn hand of the man a Boston area band been around since like the mid-90s or so right does anyone know their original name
Starting point is 00:23:35 well on their wiki you might find there Jamie you want to take a guess the Eagles very close yeah shit spangled banner okay okay there you go the Eagles I think they should have kept
Starting point is 00:23:47 shit spangled banner what do you find it out Joe on their wiki you got anything good I don't have anything good really yeah Boston 94 but yeah this is son for hand of the man John Maloney is on this and he's one of the main guys they've had I don't even know how many members here
Starting point is 00:24:06 yeah would you say over 50 yes so is that are they like the like a Carolina rainbow of New England they're a loose collective known for their frequent lineup changes and large discography released on a variety of labels including eclips Thurston Moore's aesthetic piece three load recordings and their own manhand label man hands she's got man hands Jerry I just watch that one it's a good one
Starting point is 00:24:30 remember when she's cracking the lobster I just love lobster well at least drink your beer and then when she gets the eyelash and she's like I'll make a wish and he blows it and he goes didn't come true is he on the Epstein list
Starting point is 00:24:47 probably I mean Jerry's fucked up I mean he dated that I don't think he had to go anywhere else to get with like yeah he didn't He already was... He was just like... He's the OG.
Starting point is 00:24:58 He's like... I'm gonna do this in the light of day! Yeah, that stuff does suck because Seinfeld's so good. Yeah. Never meet your heroes. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:39:12 Faith no more. Faith no more. Old school. What comp is that again? It's actually off a... I don't think we said the label. No taste. Oh, I gotta wait.
Starting point is 00:39:22 Give me a little bit of reverb. Yeah. I got it. Here's what it's on. Numb tongue. No taste. compilation on masking tapes. Number one.
Starting point is 00:39:35 The inaugural release. Spent a little bit of money for that, but not too much money. Not too much. Don't talk about it. Just a little bit of money. I have a chase count that the wife doesn't know about it. Over 30? Over 30. That's fine.
Starting point is 00:39:49 I'm not going to ask any more questions. Over 50? I didn't ask it. I did. Maybe just a little bit. Okay. All right. That's not bad.
Starting point is 00:39:56 That's not bad. It's collector's items. You know what he did, Joe? I'll tell you how much you spent. Six seven. Six seven. That's over with, though, right? No, my kids still say, but I just started it.
Starting point is 00:40:10 It's not cool with the high school kids anywhere, but the elementary school kids like it. I know it was ever cool with high school kids. Oh, yeah. Sunburned hand of the man acid X tape on tape trip. Yeah, well, what about mine? You just skip mine. Skip mine. Krieg, the body, collaboration.
Starting point is 00:40:24 Oh, that's right. You went second. I got a little, hold on. Jesus, crazy. I don't know what label that's on though I don't think I ever said either Make a little jasmine here On a label
Starting point is 00:40:36 I believe it's Possibly self-released I can tell you right now what it is Joe What is it? At a loss recording Oh I knew that it's on the back really big The answer you were looking for is At a loss recordings
Starting point is 00:40:48 I just want to real quick say another idea I came up with Snopes dog So it's like a Snope show But it's Snoop Dog What's a Snope? show. Like, you know, snopes.com? Oh, it's a show, but it's him as the host.
Starting point is 00:41:01 Yeah. Snoopto. Snopes dog. And it's like Unsolved Mysteries. Yes. Yes, and he's the host or the one with Captain or Commander Will Riker. Yeah, but it's him. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:41:13 All right. Do your Stoop Talk impression now of like talking up an episode. Nah. This week on. Snop Dog So that was some old stuff We played some old stuff Does anyone
Starting point is 00:41:31 Does anyone have new stuff? I have brand new stuff I have Do I have anything from this year yet? Maybe I do My theme starts here actually The first tape I played My theme starts here
Starting point is 00:41:43 The theme starts here The theme Your Lano is the name These next two tapes I'm about to play Are from text messages From Mike saying buy this tape Oh I don't do that anymore
Starting point is 00:41:53 I ignore those So my next two tapes Unsubscribe. I got a big unsubscribe from Joe. But this one, I'm just going to go for it. This one, I think I don't like the subtle manipulation. It's not subtle. I guess it's not. It's passive-aggressive. No, it's not. It's very straightforward. Buy this tape.
Starting point is 00:42:10 By this tape. I want this to be played on the show. Yeah, I'm not buying this one. So what is this one, Jay? I have a submissive personality. Yeah, you do. I like that. He does. He loves it. I got a little music. For the last tape, I had a little music to start. I bet you're a dom in bed, though. This is not a joke.
Starting point is 00:42:25 I wouldn't say this is true. He texted me the other day and told me to tell him a tape to buy. I'm sorry, I keep cutting you off, Jamie. What did you get? Okay, this is a tape called 1-800 Hot Duck. Oh, okay. I want to pass this around. Quack, quack.
Starting point is 00:42:42 Now, what's playing in the background right now? I just'm playing some love-making music. Oh, okay. This is what you make love to, Jamie? There's no way. So, Mike, this way. this was on Hansen Records big cartel site.
Starting point is 00:42:58 It wasn't on their band cape, but it was on the big cartel and it's that addition of 50. It's long sold out. But on the Hanson Big Cartel, it says various artists. But when I look inside the tape, it doesn't seem like various artists.
Starting point is 00:43:09 And there's an Instagram for 1-800 Hot Duck which says it's Chrissy Marie Jones. So I think this is a person not a comp. Oh. But I don't know. I have no idea what this is. It's not released on Hansen.
Starting point is 00:43:21 It was just sold through Hansen's store. Oh, I see. see, I see. Here's what Jamie Fox too. George Arnard had been strongly influenced by contemporary. Never mind. Never mind. There's an ad. Yeah. Never mind. Yeah, I was going to nail that one. I'll cut that out.
Starting point is 00:43:34 So you don't think this is the comp? He doesn't. I really don't think it's a cop. I think it's like... If I was a jury, I would say, yeah, I don't... Yeah, you're the prosecutor. I think this is like a lot of sound collage. So it's... Move to strike, Your Honor. It's
Starting point is 00:43:52 material that's from other artists. collage together. Oh, a mix tape. That's a... But it's not various artists. That's not a comp, though. Yeah. If I did it.
Starting point is 00:44:00 If I made like a cut up of different people, I can't say a comp. Why not? If they all send you... No, they didn't send it, though. Where did it come from? I took it from YouTube. I'm going to say the artist is 1-800 Hot Duck, not various artists. But there's all these names, there's a whole track list in here.
Starting point is 00:44:19 Can you read it? Can you see it? It's very hard to read. So it's like... It's like... pink on pink. I mean, a track listing would make sense with tracks
Starting point is 00:44:26 so you're saying there's different artist names? Yeah. Yeah, but it's not on band camp, it's not on disguise. The answer, Joe, is no, you can't see. Look how small that is.
Starting point is 00:44:33 You can't see. Turn on the Christmas life. And I could, I'll read the description off the big cartel page. 1,800 Hot Duck. Let me put the music on. Yeah, put the music.
Starting point is 00:44:41 Give yourself some reverb, put the music on. And can I just say that... No, I don't think this is... Never mind. What? Never mind. 1,800 Hot Duck
Starting point is 00:44:48 presents a fine night of compilation for your enjoyment and pleasure during moments of romance. 99 minutes of pure hot duckian listen mine from her audacious archives. Expect everything from Sandra London's
Starting point is 00:45:01 lusty odes to serial killers, big boobbed soundtracks that you can bounce to, dubious presenters narrating styles of a worldly figure skater and so much more. Yeah, I would put this more in the realm of a mixtape.
Starting point is 00:45:17 Mix tape, there you go. Not a like a traditional compilation. The people on this didn't agree to it. They didn't agree to it, yeah. You want to file a complaint? But it's not plunder phonics. It's not plunder phonics, though. Something different.
Starting point is 00:45:30 Something different. It's a mixtape. I like it. It's a mixed tape. What's that word? I don't know. Phoneme. Specification.
Starting point is 00:45:39 Specification. I got to say. Character. Yeah. If we're being perfectly honest, I haven't been paying too much attention. So I'll just say, from what I know, I think this is a comp.
Starting point is 00:45:47 Oh, Jesus. It does say compilation. the fucking front. So there you go, Your Honor. End of, end of a move to... The hung jury. It's a kangaroo court in this fucking place, man. This is a comp. It says on the website it's a comp, Jamie. Shout out to Chrissy Marie Jones
Starting point is 00:46:01 on Instagram. 30,000 followers for this person. There you go. So you think 100 Hot Duck is a typo? No, I think that's the name of the mixtape that they made. No, it's the name I think it's the name of the artist. Of their DJ name. Yeah. Okay, the DJ
Starting point is 00:46:17 DJ 100 Hot Duck. Yeah. Okay. I think if you changed the... Look if you changed the deed. Look at it. You just changed the you to an eye. I did that to your mom, Mike. Yeah, maybe one of our listeners could do a little research and find out. No, they would.
Starting point is 00:46:38 Ask Aaron Dilloway. I'm too scared to message him to know. He is scary. I think we determined he was too scary. Yeah, too scary. No, thank you. All right, so you're going to play that. I'm going to play one or you want to play one, Mike? Um, you go, because then I'll take from you two. It'll let me know what I want to play.
Starting point is 00:46:55 Well, I'm still going down my theme. Yes, look at the packaging. This isn't a tape I got at the, at the scary fest. You did not get it there. But one that Larry gave me, that he bought and was like Joe should have this. He bought it at Heart of Winter? No, he bought this previously somewhere. He gave it to at Harda Winter.
Starting point is 00:47:13 Yes, when I picked him up. Chiching. Got it. Yeah. So this is Puritan Bone. Okay. He really likes this tape. Is this one person?
Starting point is 00:47:24 Is this a solo act and they also do eight other things? I can't tell. It's all in Old English. It's really small. I can't even read what label this is on. Jamie. Do some research. Puritan bow.
Starting point is 00:47:46 I can't stop this on. There you go. Google that Yeah, find out Puritan, like he has He's on tape in P-U and it's gonna come up Puritan bone He's searched that before
Starting point is 00:47:58 For other reasons Too scary Oh, I think your internet's out again, Mike Oh man Yeah, you gotta get on the roof Um I'm not gonna Google it Yeah, that's okay
Starting point is 00:48:12 But this, what is the scary stuff? Yeah Puritan bone Actusy on the frontier of blood Jesus Christ Yeah Of blood And this is on
Starting point is 00:48:28 Into Endless Chaos Records 2004 Puritan Bone Which bone is the Puritan Bone? T plays drums and vocals And Letthagor Does guitar bass and vocal Oh, Lathagore?
Starting point is 00:48:42 Oh Lathagore Mixed by Lethagor Artwork by T Yeah Lethagor should have mixed this Lethagore is good at mixing. Oh, they're from the Netherlands. This might be, I didn't vet this.
Starting point is 00:48:56 Okay. I can imagine a lethargur mix. So that's what I'm playing. We can just jump right into it. You want to vet it real quick? You want to, what are they called again? Puritan bone to, what I put? Puritan bone controversy.
Starting point is 00:49:09 Yeah. Yeah, search that. Search Puritan bone controversy. See what comes up. Regular dentist music, as my daughter calls it. Why are you checking that? I don't know if I... No evidence.
Starting point is 00:49:23 No evidence. Okay. Good. Good. Good. There you go. There you go. Is that a... Oh, wait.
Starting point is 00:49:27 The search results discuss unrelated topics including a baby broth formula controversy. Okay. Various Metacore band member scandals and other cultural music controversies. Oh, there was a celebrity chef controversy. Uh, that's very perceptive.
Starting point is 00:49:42 What do you got, Mike? Yeah, what do you got? I got monastics. the tape is called Plastic Bird by a band called Manastics on I think you say it Flur tapes
Starting point is 00:49:57 F-L-U-E-R-E-R-E Yeah I think it's Fleur What's that French? You know how I say it? I can't remember You know, hold on I'm going to get a commercial again, it's going to ruin my thing Oh no, my internet's out
Starting point is 00:50:10 I can't do this bit I said that to your mom last thing I was going to play The other commercial is going to go on It's going to ruin my thing I had a Because when we get the nasty movie She doesn't pay for the fool
Starting point is 00:50:20 There's commercials I had drowning pool Song set up to say Flah And I was going to say That's how I say That's very funny But this came out
Starting point is 00:50:34 Actually it wasn't this year I think it was 2025 Or Oh wait Was this 2014 Oh the label Started in 2014 If we had internet
Starting point is 00:50:44 I could tell you When this was from I think it was from late last year. The artwork looks like, do you remember that label different lands? Yeah, there's just some marbled paper. Some marbled paper, but they did it themselves. Ooh, I like that.
Starting point is 00:50:58 Yeah. I've dabbled with a little marbling. It didn't come out this good, though. This is good. It's very nice, right? Yeah, I don't think I had all the right stuff. I believe even, correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe I'm right, Joe. Yes.
Starting point is 00:51:08 The label on the shell is also marvelled. It looks like it to me. Oh, my, lovely. It's lovely. To me, I think it's from the same paper stock and they cut it themselves. I've done a stinky. How'd they cut those circles so perfect? They must have a jig.
Starting point is 00:51:25 They got some... Do you think they made something? Or do you think they had like a tool made? That's a jig. Like I'm thinking like, you know, like a handheld hole punch? Yeah. Imagine that, but like really, really big, like gardening shears. They did two at once or they still have to do one big hole.
Starting point is 00:51:41 Well, it's not one big hole. It's two regular size holes. You use it twice. Let me say it. I'm saying is it got the two prongs in it or you do one hole and have to move over and do the other hole? Let's do two holes at once.
Starting point is 00:51:55 Do a hole at once? Yeah, let's do two holes at once. I did that to Jamie's mom. Stop! That was a softball. Can we something hard? It's what James Brown said. I like how this paper is like torn
Starting point is 00:52:11 all around the edges. Deccled. is it deckled I don't think it's deckled I think it's just roughly handled but time has stop it that's enough
Starting point is 00:52:22 that's enough why do you have a bit of cheese sorry it's low brow humor it's more it's more like I thought we're academic now it's more like the J-Card
Starting point is 00:52:36 has a patina almost but it's new so it's probably deckled looks like a stonehenge BFK Reeves printmaking paper to me.
Starting point is 00:52:46 Wow, it sounds like you really know your stuff. Yeah. That's impressive. Monastics, Jeremy Hurwitz, who I think did a project called Rootless, that had releases on labels that we know
Starting point is 00:53:00 like Nolzone, flower room, Aral Canyon, feeding tube, such like that. E.J. Frye and Don Chase are the three people in this band. and that's what I'm going to play. All right. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:53:15 I feel so bad for Jamie's mom. I hate to bring it back up just to like, because everyone's probably forgotten about it. I stopped. But it's all I can think about now. Me too. You just see our text. Matthew Wheelock,
Starting point is 00:53:27 no compilations about this, please. I don't want to get tagged in it and then like have some relative. Find that. Prepare to be awesome. All the Congo bodies, check out. 1800. Hot duck.
Starting point is 01:10:31 Wine and dine your sweetheart. Jamie says it's not on Hansen tapes, but you know what? Distributed bot. I think it is. I think it is. I don't think it is either because it doesn't have the loat with a cover and it's all not the same. Puritan bone. Puritan bone.
Starting point is 01:10:47 Ecstasy in the tumor blood or something like that. Ecstasy on the frontier of the blood. Jamie, you want to do one, too? Ecstasy on the frontier of blood. Into endless chaos. And then that monastics, plastic blood on let the bodies hit the floor tape. Oh, that's what you had queued up. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:11:08 That would have been good. I know, right? I thought it was pretty good just kind of saying it. Yeah, in theory. On paper, it's good. I don't need to hit people over the head with my humor. I can just kind of be cool about it and be like, yeah, this is the kind of the joke. goes. It's kind of, you know what? It kind of goes back to my
Starting point is 01:11:23 character thing of the... Characterature. Character. What's this story? Characterature. Yeah. It's tough. It's like somebody doing that who can't draw, but this is kind of like a podcaster who can't do...
Starting point is 01:11:39 A podcaster who can't podcast. Yeah. And I'm just like... This is what my joke was going to be. I was playing that. I think that's still just as good. All right. Who's going to play tape to round this night off? Jamie again yeah I got this tape
Starting point is 01:11:57 this was another one that Mike texted me and said buy this and I did and you know what sold me on it? What? Was they little... He told you to do it? There's a little... It's a dungeon synth tape but there's a...
Starting point is 01:12:07 There's like a humorous cartoon frog that almost looks like beavis on the front. Oh, let me see. I love that kind of stuff. That's what made me buy it. I didn't even listen to it and I just thought... I love humorous cartoons that look like something else. On a dungeon synth album.
Starting point is 01:12:19 This is an album... Wait. He looks like who? I think it looks like cornholio a little bit. Really? Yeah. Oh my God. This is going to be nothing like cornholio?
Starting point is 01:12:27 It looks like the Rolling Stones lips. No. Jamie, does this guy even need teepee for his bunghole? Let me say. That's very perceptive. That's not cornollio. Okay, fine. He doesn't, like, the head.
Starting point is 01:12:40 It's an unhinge. It's an unhinge strong. I think what Jamie is going on is his arms, how they're up kind of like. Cornholios. The only way I can describe it is Cornolio's arms. That's okay But that's literally the only feature There's no T-shirt over the head
Starting point is 01:12:56 No there isn't There's really no head There's no shirts so Jamie they can do anything they want In the cartoon form All right here is your new toilet You ever seen Kermit Does Kermen frog wear a shirt
Starting point is 01:13:06 No he doesn't wear any clothes No man he isn't wearing a damn Is he on the Epstein files The Fossey has a tie on Well Fazi's telling jokes Fossey is not in the Epstein files Someone should go through all the Muppets and say which,
Starting point is 01:13:20 Jamie, just say the Muppets. I'll tell you if they're in the Fc Files. Gonzo. Yes. Oh, Gonso's definitely. Dr. Tith. No. No.
Starting point is 01:13:27 Beaker. No. Bunsen. Yes. Oh. Pepe, the, he's a prawn. Oh, no. No, no, no, no, no.
Starting point is 01:13:39 I didn't have that Muppets when I was growing. The girl from the electric mayhem, is that the band? She's like, oh, wow, right up, man. She plays bass. Yeah, she's not in it. She's not in it. No. Okay.
Starting point is 01:13:51 And one more? And one more? The eagle. Yes. Sam the Eagle. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Big picture with Steve Bannon.
Starting point is 01:13:58 Big boomer energy. Wing around Steve Bannon in a picture. Yeah, I don't want to get it into that. But, yo, this looks nothing like Beavis. I like how you started up with Beavis and then you're like... Is electric teeth? Is that the band? Electric Mayhem.
Starting point is 01:14:12 It's electric mayhem. It's Electric Mayhem. Dr. Teeth and the electric mayhem. Yeah. It looks nothing like Beavis. nothing like cornhole. Except for the arms. Every time he plays this music.
Starting point is 01:14:24 Well, listen out before I go to bed. So tell me about this water, what is it, water bog? It's called Bogwater. The album titles Bogwater. It's on a label called Dungeon Squid Productions. I feel like I've heard Dungeon Squid. And it's a split. Fault one of those in my adventure the other week.
Starting point is 01:14:40 The A side is Refusa, Goddess of Trash, and the B side is amphibium performance. This paper. It's a nice page. It is magnificent. I almost want to like a... Put the gloves on. Hold on. I want to wipe my butt on it.
Starting point is 01:14:54 It is like... Oh, it's like Charmin? It's like a Charmin. It's like a Charmin. It's like a... Joe, you might not want to touch the inside. I might not like it. Because of it's cottony texture.
Starting point is 01:15:05 Yeah, let me see. And but the outside is velvety smooth. Yeah. And I didn't know that when I was buying it. I just was buying it for the Beavis frog. It's not anything like Beavis. Oh, yeah. I like this.
Starting point is 01:15:18 Feels almost synthetic. Like a tie-back. It's not natural. Tie-back. Like a, yeah. Oh, yeah, I see what you're saying. A home wrap. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:15:26 This is almost like a canvas. Is this insulation? I think this is canvas. Ooh, now you guys are going to have itchy fingers. I think this is printing on the worst kind of insulation. It's like legally they can give you this and say they insulate you're home. Yeah, I think this is like a blue gene. This is a blue gene.
Starting point is 01:15:41 This is a blue green. I like that. But I don't know if I like it. I'm going to play the end. amphibian performance side just because that's related to bogs. Yeah, bogs. It's very boggy. Wet. And a frog is an amphibian, right?
Starting point is 01:15:56 Yeah. There you go. I think that's still up for discussion. All right, I'm going to play again to my theme, kind of. This one's off theme a little bit. Because I don't know what this tape is. Okay. Hopefully we haven't played it before. It seems... Look at this! You don't even know
Starting point is 01:16:12 what it is. No, but it's... I I told you I spilled all my tapes in my car, so I was grabbing them, you know? And I just grabbed this one because it's all in Old English. And I thought this was another tape I got at the fest. Just because of the font. Because of the font. But this is on Bumpy.
Starting point is 01:16:28 Okay, so it's way off. Oh, way off. Yeah. Way off. And have we played this tape already? You got to let me know that, actually. Astrid. Well, if we did, chances are, it stopped right at this spot we stopped at that last time.
Starting point is 01:16:43 Oh, but you might have listened this before you gave it to me. What is it called? Astrid. We talked about this one on the end of your episode. I'm not sure if we played a clip from this, but the end of your episode almost doesn't count. And Cavs EV? Aeros EV.
Starting point is 01:16:59 Oh, I can't read it. Okay. All glitter? Glutter? All glitter, safe. No. All a flutter slash soft gnaw. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 01:17:08 All a flutter. I can't read it. Big saves over here from Jamie. Yeah, now that the internet's back up from a phone. So is this a split? No, it's Uh, uh, hold on. No, it's a collab.
Starting point is 01:17:22 Yeah. I'm reading. I thought you would keep going. What did I do? Who's the collab with? Who are these people? Astrid, Hubbard, Hubbard Flynn and Aeros E.V.
Starting point is 01:17:36 Wait, stop. Stop right there. How many people was that? I think Astrid, Hubbard Flynn is one person. That could be one, two, or three in my mind. Yeah. No, it's one person. And it's, uh, you know, this is from a lot. performance
Starting point is 01:17:49 curated by Luke Martin and Noah Oppenhoven Baldwin Baldwin Okay Did you say we did play
Starting point is 01:17:59 this Jamie or we didn't? I remember talking about it on the end of your episode because the name Astrid
Starting point is 01:18:04 always sticks out to me I will play the game whatever Yeah we'll play Yeah I mean we didn't really play
Starting point is 01:18:08 I mean it was all in the back I love Bumpy it's excellent Larry Wish excellent so we got Astrid Hubbard
Starting point is 01:18:14 Flynn on prepared box fan effect Let me think. I definitely, I don't ever remember saying, oh, yeah, you need to really prepare that box fan.
Starting point is 01:18:23 Voice. So we probably didn't play this. Aeros EV on prepared wooden box, delay, modular synth and voice. I gotta know how much. That's on the all of flutter side. On the soft gnaw side,
Starting point is 01:18:35 we got prepared box fan again, effects units, and voice. And then Aeros EV on modified cassette player delay and modular synthesizer. Oh, I really want to modify cassette. I'm surprised they need to.
Starting point is 01:18:48 to even like... We'll put it on the B side. With... Okay. I'm a little surprised. Why do you even need the modular synthesizer and all the other
Starting point is 01:18:58 the gear, the expensive equipment? When you already have that prepared fan... And the box. And the box. That I assume it's the box the fan came in.
Starting point is 01:19:08 Well, I mean, it's the classic argument of, you know, you just have an acoustic guitar. What else do you need? Why do you need to amplify it? Why do you need a delay pedal? Yeah. No. A false distortion.
Starting point is 01:19:17 No, Joe. You just have a... Oh my God, I'm with you. Oh, you're with me. No, I'm with me. With that classic tale? Yeah, I'm totally with you with that classic tale. But what I'm saying is that when you reach the prepared box fan and the prepared box,
Starting point is 01:19:30 you've reached the end of your story. That's there's nowhere else to go. Yeah. You're right. All right, that's what I'm playing. Mike, what are you playing? Topical tape. I'm going to play two to close it out.
Starting point is 01:19:45 There you go. It's not tabs out unless Mike plays two. This might be, because the first one, going to play here is from this year. It might be the first tape. This is our first show of 2026. I said that. I said that. Did we shot me down? I said it was new season. Oh, I remember the talk about the new season. Happy New Year and you're
Starting point is 01:20:03 like, well, let's say this. Let's say this. This episode we're doing right now is season two episode one. And everything else before this has been season one. Can we agree on that at least? Yes. Okay. God, can we at least agree on that? Yes. Season two. Season two? I feel really good. Jamie didn't have a new theme for anything. Previously on tabs out. Storm Ross,
Starting point is 01:20:26 La Tormenta, a self-release tape, I believe. That came out, just as of this recording, a few days ago, February 6th, 2026. I touched it, it was hot, it was coming right out of the oven, I said, nobody touched it. In addition of 100, it came out. Now, here's my thing with this. Here's my question for Storm Ross. So the artist is Storm Ross, okay?
Starting point is 01:20:48 You follow me so far? Mm-hmm. Everybody's with me. Mm-hmm. It also says Jeremy Edwards plays drums and percussion and a MoG DFAM. Okay? Drummer from another mother. It also says, Guitar Explorer, this is the description from somewhere.
Starting point is 01:21:04 Okay. Guitar, and I quote, Guitar Explorer Storm Ross returns with his first solo album in nearly four years, offering up his most intense and abrasive statement yet, joined once again by his longtime collaborator Jeremy Edwards. So at what point does Jeremy Edwards get to be in this band? Well, no, because the other person's writing all this stuff. It's like King Diamond. Yeah, it's like on the Eddie, you know, on the Eddie Murphy's solo record, it's...
Starting point is 01:21:36 Speak. No, go ahead. It's Rick James's band. Go ahead. Keep cooking. And Rick James, when he performs, it's the same backing band. It's not Rick James and the blah, blah, blah,s, or it's not. just like a name. So I guess Jeremy
Starting point is 01:21:49 Edwards just like every time he's like well fuck me then. Yeah. Every time he's done recording. Every time. He's like, oh thanks. I'm going to write. He might be one of those guys that knows how to play guitar but doesn't have any ideas. Okay. I can appreciate that. You know he's like I don't make solo stuff. He's like I'm in a cover band down at Galuccio's on the weekends. Oh, they're not open anymore. I know.
Starting point is 01:22:12 There's a cool laser etching on this show. I like when they do that. laser engraving. Well, they just went for a standard. What font is that? It's just a standard font. You could have done anything. You could have done something really cool.
Starting point is 01:22:27 I just like the fact, I like it. They're like blah, blah, blah, serif. Yeah, I like that. I like it's very simple. Because it shows restraint. It's not centered. Okay. I didn't notice that.
Starting point is 01:22:38 Yeah. I hate it. All right, let me see it again. It's not centered. No. There's more room on the left than the right. The space between the edge to the est and But it says side A is so nice down at the bottom and side B.
Starting point is 01:22:51 I hate it. It's just in like Times New Roman. Yeah, it's pretty easy. It's fun. Yeah, dude, the video. The video is so good. All right, whatever. When he's coming down the stairs, they're already recording.
Starting point is 01:23:11 He goes right into the booth. That's really very good. And Rick James in the, like, in the room, dude, oh, when the, when the double clap, that, watch Rick James. Nice, that's funny. And everyone's partying, it's like, there's like a million people there. Girls. I would love to roll into a session and have the band already playing and then just go up to the mic. He's go right in.
Starting point is 01:23:40 You walk in with a saxophone? Yeah. Well, no, you don't play anything. You're just singing. Yeah. Yeah, you're Eddie Murphy. You're Eddie Murphy in the situation. It'd be cool if you did the saxophone too, though.
Starting point is 01:23:49 And actually, when you think about it, I didn't say you had to play the saxophone. You just had the saxophone. I like that song, too. I'm going to end this with two tracks from a four-way split. Wait, two tapes, and you're playing two tracks off each one? No, this is one tape with four artists, and I'm playing two of them, one track from two of them. Okay. The first track on the tape and the last track on the tape.
Starting point is 01:24:17 track. Do you remember I played an artist like KMET? Yeah. Maybe I don't know how many episodes ago. It's them
Starting point is 01:24:28 four ways split with them. Sounds like an Egyptian god. I don't have my cheaters on. Himber, Taylog, and lone adventurer. I think I sent you guys this picture of this tape when it came in.
Starting point is 01:24:41 Oh, you did, yeah. I love this artwork of this like crude drawing of outside of a castle It seems like we got like maybe the city guard rounding up some ruffians
Starting point is 01:24:52 No actually these ruffians seem like there might be rioting Because there's a guy with an axe And a pole And then the night Take the j-card out It folds out The story continues Oh this might be a brawl
Starting point is 01:25:04 Oh they're fighting a skeleton Ah Okay It changes the whole context No this is an adventuring party Fighting a skeleton warrior That's right and the name of this four-way split,
Starting point is 01:25:16 I'm not going to, I'm going to butcher this. Jekka Saborov. Lahnich. Tomnika. Yes. With Jamie, I'm going to put in a formal request
Starting point is 01:25:27 for some echo, please. Can I put it in a formal? I've filled out of the forms already. I'm going to say, that translates from Croatian to, Jamie, tune in my echo,
Starting point is 01:25:37 please for this, this is the echo. It's your warm theater. Echoes of the forgotten dungeons. You want some echo? No, I'm saying no, Jamie. That's what it's called. That's the name of the tape is echoes of the forgotten dungeons.
Starting point is 01:25:53 You know, I take back everything I said about your mom of the forgotten. I'm glad Joe said all that stuff. Very cool. Yeah, I'm going to play the first track and the last track. Give you the idea of what the whole adventure might be. The KMet things a little bit more like fantastical. The lone adventurer tracks a little bit more ambient, wind you down. You can kind of, just in your, use your imagination, just imagine what the middle sounds like.
Starting point is 01:26:21 Or there's probably some copies left from Cosmic Brood and Olden's, uh, sin. I can't let my glasses on. Just cosmic brood. It's just the one. Um, Cosmic Brood just released, uh, the artist on here, Talog. They just release a tape by them. Uh, I think it's our first release in 2026. And that's definitely still available.
Starting point is 01:26:43 You say Tal log? Tal log. T-A-L-O-G? Okay Talog? To log. Probably Tolkien reference. Yeah, I don't know. I don't do that.
Starting point is 01:26:51 I don't know all that stuff. You know what? I like the Tolkien references that aren't from Lord of the Rings when a band does that. It's like, oh, it's from the Similarian. Oh, yeah, that's the deep cut. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:27:01 From an unreleased short story. Yeah. From a dumb thought. He just made up a word. Yeah.
