Starting point is 00:00:00 Hey, this is Headboggle, and you are listening to Tabs Out Podcast. Hey Dave, I have a question for you. Do you have to download it, or can you just play it? Tabs out. Good intro music, Dave. Good one, Dave. Having some technical difficulties tonight. We're going to have to settle for that one.
Starting point is 00:00:51 We're not having technical difficulties. You are having technical difficulties. It's not that good. All my shit's working over here. Work as a unit. We do. We're like, what is the... Like the old bees.
Starting point is 00:01:02 All the... Synchronized swimmers. Well, the tigers that come together together and they form one big tiger. The rat tigers. What? Voltron. Voltron? Are they all tigers?
Starting point is 00:01:10 What is Voltron? Voltron's a thing. They're like Power Rangers. No, because Power Rangers don't form a big thing, do they? Yeah, they do. They're Megazord. What? Did you ever hear about those rats that get all tangled together and they become...
Starting point is 00:01:22 A rat king? A rat king, yeah. Is that real or is that just 30 Rock? There's a fossilized rat king in like... No, there's not. On E-Bomb's World. Go to Wikipedia. Go to Wikipedia.
Starting point is 00:01:31 It's got to be real. I'm not going to Wikipedia, Dave. I mean, it's probably something if it was, you know, 30 Rock. They got it from somewhere. From the amazement of imaginativity. That's where they got it. We're off to a good start. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:01:49 Good bungle there, Mike. Tabs Out, Cassette Podcast, episode number 32. Good bungle? Good bungle. That was a bungle. He bungled his words. Excellent bungle. Is that a thing?
Starting point is 00:01:59 All right. That's a thing, yeah. I got to clean my palate. Look on Wikipedia. Let's just play a tape. Right out? Let's just play a tape. Just right out? I don't even want to talk about anything. What do we got over here?
Starting point is 00:02:10 I know what I'm gonna start off with. Start off with something with some energy. Give me a fast number. I'm gonna start off with this Unduant tape. Unduant pizza. I don't order a pizza right now. Unduant scanning cassette on a label.
Starting point is 00:02:25 It's actually Unduent's label called Refulgent Sepulchre or something like that. Come on now. I'm not going to get into it. It's funny because I picked up a few of these tapes. This guy played a fest in Delaware about... Was that a conch shell on the cover with a weird thing coming out of it? He played about two weeks ago in Delaware.
Starting point is 00:02:41 And this is the fourth release on his label. And they all look like this where there's like like these well how would you describe those lines in the background you could see it like these concentric lines that go around and then like line drawings on top of that little like uh you know little shapes and little bubbles and stuff like that. Silkscreen covers. And he has four releases. But there's no internet presence. Nowhere to order them. I hate that.
Starting point is 00:03:11 It's kind of annoying because all the tapes are really fucking good. He was out of the first release which was another unjoined tape. I can't complete the collection now. A little upset about that. You do like a thing like that. I thought you liked no inner presence. You like when it's hard to search for things.
Starting point is 00:03:30 Yeah, yeah, yeah. The presence has to be there. Okay. You don't want it to be impossible to find. It's hard. It's really hard. So do you eventually want to get to it? Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:45 So you want it to be hard to look for something on the internet, but you want to be able to find it. I want to go to like page six on Google. Okay. Before I get any results. But the fact that... But the fact that Refulgentpaltre has no website no band camp hate that nothing
Starting point is 00:04:11 you'll never find it that you hate yeah but if he put up like if he put up a real like a really like small angel fire thing with just text and like it was buried deep down you would and you could eventually find it like you kept looking for it and you were pissed off because you can never find it and then you heard well you know some are saying that deep down in the web you can find a place yeah then you would like it again yeah okay just don't get me uh this guy uh like i said he was he was just playing at the uh delaware noise fest thing a few weeks ago. And he crushed it.
Starting point is 00:04:48 It was an awesome set. He had, I don't know what the instrument was. It was a little handheld. A bleaker box. A bleaker box. Touch sensitive little guy that also had. What the fucking thumbnail? Why is that one so long?
Starting point is 00:05:01 It's not that long. It's twice as long as the other thumbnail. Give me that. Why is it so long? And it's square. It's not that long. It's twice as long as the other thumb. I'll give you that. And it's square. Just poke him. Move on, boys. And it had potentiometers on it, so he was doing something there, and he was doing something
Starting point is 00:05:15 else. It was tight. I can't look. Is this the same hand as the finger? Just don't look at the hands! Just make eye contact with me. My eyes are up here, Joe. Alright. So let's start this off with a track. This is the first cut off Don't look at the hands. Just make eye contact with me. My eyes are up here, Joe. All right. All right. So let's start this off with a track. This is the first cut off of the Anjuan scanning cassette.
Starting point is 00:05:32 Here it is. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I'm going to go to go back to the Thank you. Thank you. I don't know how to order a pizza. Unguent. Unguent. Is that how you say it? Is that a real word? I've been saying unjuant. Unjuant? Or is that a made up word?
Starting point is 00:11:49 I don't know. It sounds real. Yeah. Yeah. He's a scientist, right? It's probably some science. I think he works with science. It's like some weird like...
Starting point is 00:11:58 He's a janitor? At a science factory? I think he's either like a janitor or he's like the guy who cleans up all the scraps from the science. It's like some weird unit of measure. think he's either a janitor or he's the guy who cleans up all the scraps from the science. It's like some weird unit of measure. He's got a ruler. It's like inches, millimeters, and unguents.
Starting point is 00:12:12 But it's only a yardstick and it's just one unjoint. So when you get the unjoint tape measure, it's giant. It just keeps rolling out. It's like four unjoints. We don't really use unjoints as much as the europeans use yeah that's big distances yeah huge it's like it's huge tracks of land it's for well no it's mainly for measuring distances of water on land like as like a spill or a puddle yeah a puddle a puddle is like 1.125 .007
Starting point is 00:12:47 Yeah exactly Alright Joby What do you got I'm going to play some stuff off this Pink Chunk Jazz Band Oh Pink Chunk Jazz Band Double tape on American Tapes That I just got at a Wolf Eyes gig
Starting point is 00:13:03 Let me see this american tapes 939 they're near always do the same design on the inside they're near yeah i got a question about the uh yeah the american tapes like scrawl that he does it looks like a little like kind of like nutsack thing and then a tower and then a line what is that i don't know man is that olsen's tag olsen's shit it's always the same. Grab another American tape since it's going to be on there. Let me see. He's crazy. Yeah, that's the same thing. What's that? Oh, you got a collage
Starting point is 00:13:32 in here. This just scraps of paper. These aren't even glued. Just thrown in there. Come on, I liked it the way it was. I put it back exactly how I had it. I like, though, how it's mainly just scraps of paper thrown oh wait this one's on the outside that one's the black ones are glued on the outside
Starting point is 00:13:50 then there's scraps of orange paper and pink paper on the inside but there's still like a classic olsen like a little collage a little face thrown on there see i figured i put you know i brought this because you know that if you go to tabs.com, there's a nice piece, an essay by Mike. It's pretty good. It's a thinking man's piece about packaging that's so bad that it's good, which I would put American Tapes in that category. Double tape here in one of these. Where did this box come from? How many of these do you think are actually made
Starting point is 00:14:25 you think he made like seven of these right oh yeah i don't know i don't know i bet no one knows i did when we were at the show uh you bought this did you mention you bought this at the wolf eyes gig in philly yeah um and you probably got the one that i did this too because i wanted you know there's nothing written on the outside anywhere so i was like oh well you know he has this little piece of tape that's, like, sealing it. Let me rip that off and just peek inside. So you do that, and, like, still nothing. Still no information.
Starting point is 00:14:50 No, I had to look it up on the internet to know what it is. Yeah, because it does say... Because it doesn't say anywhere. American Tape's 939 on there. Oh, here's some text. There's something. Something bar. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:15:00 Yeah, it's covered with some more paper, though. Yeah. All right, so you just want to, like... So 1,000, he's done, right? It's a party? Oh, I don't know. American Tape's 1 with some more paper, though. Yeah. All right. So you just want to, like... So 1,000, he's done, right? It's a party? Oh, I don't know. American Tapes 1,000, I think, is a party. And then that's it?
Starting point is 00:15:11 And that's it. Oh, interesting. So you just want to grab a random tape. Oh, yeah. Yeah, random tape. Random. You were saying... He keepens it, though, because he has...
Starting point is 00:15:20 Doesn't he do parties that have, like, American Tapes numbers? Yes. He has released parties before. Maybe it's just a huge party. I think this is a huge party. This one's the biggest. This is the biggest. Do you know who this is?
Starting point is 00:15:32 Who are the members? John Olsen and Dan D. It's just them two? Yeah. And these are two long tapes, right? Oh, they're long, yeah. They get into it. Unlike, it seriously is ridiculous.
Starting point is 00:15:43 Sometimes, they're obviously in the kitchen. Like he was like, Dan, you want to come over and make some soup? And he's like, oh yeah, I'll come over. And then while he was making soup, he just started banging on the pots and all of a sudden, hold on, let me get my clarinet. The recorder was already going. And then they recorded it for the next three hours. All right, well let's.
Starting point is 00:16:01 I gotta put this out play uh a nugget from the pink chunk jazz band double cassette on american tapes © BF-WATCH TV 2021 Thank you. ¶¶ Thank you. Ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah. Thank you. I don't know. Thank you. Thank you. so Oh, pink chunks. Pink chunks. Bada-boda-bada. Bada-bada-bada. Yeah, you hear that. Use some vintage boom mics on that one. There's some soup music.
Starting point is 00:22:14 Yeah, I wonder if they ever made the soup. No. No, you don't think they got around to it? They couldn't find a can opener? No. It was like they were looking for a can opener. He was like opening drawers and it was like in like a... And then he was like, wait, wait, wait, wait.
Starting point is 00:22:25 Keep doing that. Keep doing that. Oh, man. Yeah. It's good. They got a lot of stuff out too. I'm really surprised. You figured that would be like a one-off. That was live at the abstracted bar comma fall sessions.
Starting point is 00:22:41 What is it like to have like a thousand releases? Oh, Dave, let me tell you. It's so freeing. As an artist, it makes you wonder if someone who has that many releases has them all. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:22:58 It makes you wonder that too. Joe? Two out of three. Two out of three. But now that I brought it up. We're on the Tabs Out Chrome Dome number three. We're coming up on the number three, and I don't have either of the first two. Well, you know, you play your cards right, you might get them. Oh, which is a good segue, David.
Starting point is 00:23:19 We now have all of the tracks for Tabs Out number three. The Motion Sickness of Time Travel remix cassette. Remix. Do it like a remix. And then the horn. The air horn? Yeah. Tharhorn leg horn.
Starting point is 00:23:39 So go to... I do, I do, I do. I do declare you can only get these cassettes by donating to Tabs Out, which you can figure out how to do at TabsOut.com. It's, I believe, 11 remixes. The full list is up on the site of who does it. It's a who's who. It's a who's who of...
Starting point is 00:24:02 Doctor Who! I couldn't get into Doctor Who. All right, Dave. I don't want to talk to you guys about that. All right, Dave. What do you got? I don't watch TV shows. For the most part.
Starting point is 00:24:12 For the most part. Except like... Mr. Bean. I just watched the Mr. Bean movie the other night. Oh, yeah? How was it? Good. Really good.
Starting point is 00:24:19 Because, you know, I wanted a movie because I was trying to watch a movie while the kid was sleeping. So I wanted something that would be quiet and I wouldn't have to follow a lot of dialogue. So I wanted Mr. Bean because I don't care what the other people are saying. I can get the gist of what's going on from Rowan. Every once in a while on Netflix, it pops up he was in some sort of serious show called Black Adder. Oh, that's not a serious show. It's not serious?
Starting point is 00:24:38 No. Oh, I thought it was serious just from the looks of it. No, because he's wearing the garb that he's like. Oh, it's not serious? No. Okay, good, good. You wouldn't like it though because it's British. Yeah, it's British. I the looks of it. No, because he's wearing the garb that he's like... Oh, it's not serious? No. Okay, good, good. You wouldn't like it, though, because it's British. It's British.
Starting point is 00:24:48 I don't get it. You don't really like... I would have thought you would have liked British shows. You do not. I just got tattooed by a guy from the UK. From Australia. He's not from Australia. Your accent made me think he's from Australia.
Starting point is 00:25:00 I don't know a good accent. He's from the UK. Melbourne. And I told him that i don't really get into british shows what did he do did he soccer right you just stared at me did he no he said you know i said i just don't really get some of the references and he said oi oi mate all right dave what do you got uh i think i'm gonna to play this Bitchin' Bajas. Bitchin' Bajas has been on my playlist lately.
Starting point is 00:25:28 Oh, they're so good, man. So good. This tape's a treat. Yeah, this is a treat. This came out on relatively... Let me see it. I think Mike's got the shell over there. Relatively new label, Golden Cloud.
Starting point is 00:25:40 Where is it? That's the third one down and uh this is actually a reissue of a ep that was pressed as a record came out on permanent okay i haven't heard this um but yeah this shit is tight it's one of the dudes from uh cave from cave yeah from chicago and another dude from fuck i can't remember the name so the other person. So, how many... Do you know how many people are in this lineup? It's just two. It's just two, because now it's three. Oh, is it three?
Starting point is 00:26:11 It's three now, because there's a... So, this is just the two keyboard, or synthesizer, or whatever. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Now they have a saxophone player now. Oh, nice. Is he gonna be... Do you know if he's gonna be on the... Because I know they have something that's slated for Drag City, I think. Well, that just came out.
Starting point is 00:26:28 Oh, did it just come out? Okay. But that record's weird. That record's like tape loops. The one on Drag City is? Yeah, the new one. I don't know all the whole thing, but it's like loops that they made and then played. I would say my one complaint
Starting point is 00:26:44 about this cassette here, aesthetically, is I'm not seeing how this green cassette shell goes with everything else. Yeah, I don't understand. It's a green-tinted shell. That's actually the LPR work. Oh, is it? And this J-Card is not the LPR work? Is this different than the LP?
Starting point is 00:27:02 No, that's what I'm saying. The J-Card is the LPR work. Oh, I see what you're saying now. Because the cassette shell is just a green tinted shell with like white bars on it. A couple wavy lines. A couple wavy lines with some white bars on it. It's kind of scratchy bars. And then you got like this collage of red and blues.
Starting point is 00:27:19 Yeah. I'm not really saying they go together, but you know, whatever. It's an awesome tape. It was actually on another Segway. God damn, I'm nailing saying they go together, but, you know, whatever. It's an awesome tape. It was actually on another Segway. God damn, I'm nailing these Segways tonight. This was on one of our – See, what you usually do is you don't talk about them. You just Segway into it.
Starting point is 00:27:33 Oh, you're not supposed to mention – You're not supposed to, like, mention it. You're not supposed to – It's seamless. Oh, all right. They don't know what that means. Which is good. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:27:42 This was – The website AdHawk, if you point your – I mean, which is good. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. This, uh, the website ad hoc, if you, uh, point your, actually funny, you should say that. Dot FM.
Starting point is 00:27:50 They were able to snag. Dot FM. Is it really ad hoc? Yeah, it is. I wonder if there's a.com look real quick. There is. Don't even bother.
Starting point is 00:27:58 Um, it's Japanese porn. No, stop. Nah. Uh, we have a, um,
Starting point is 00:28:03 a feature on, uh, their website now called Who Has Tapes Anymore? Where we just go over some nice tapes that we like that were recently released. And Dave, I believe this is on there as well, isn't it? Yes, it is. So you want to, what's this tape called? Krausend? Krausend. Krausend.
Starting point is 00:28:23 Oh, I used to go to Dr. Krausend. He was my foot, foot nose and throat guy yeah yeah all right i you know how like well i mean they're both english and german they're both germanic languages right english is germanic language you know sometimes you can get now when i speak now when i speak it's one of the romance languages when i Romance languages. Which one? German or English? Whatever I'm saying. It's all romantic. I'll make you melt. I just like when I'm watching a movie that's like in German and the word almost sounds like English.
Starting point is 00:28:55 What movie are you watching in German? Like the Hitler Reacts 2 YouTube clips. And what happens? I wasn't listening. Because like sometimes the the uh german word sounds so much like the english word but it's just a little bit off it just it makes me laugh for some reason i like when that happens but this is uh krausen i wonder if it means christened i can picture david is underwear with like a big thing of popcorn watching a movie in german no
Starting point is 00:29:21 subtitles and all of a sudden they say like all of a sudden they say hamburger and he starts laughing. I do it. This is why I do it. This is why I put in the work. I bet it is just like hamburger too. Alright, well let's play something off of this bitch in Baja's cross and hamburger tape
Starting point is 00:29:39 on... See, that's funny. It's funny. You got my goat. New club on Golden Cloud. See, that's funny. It's funny. I like it. You got my goat. Can I come over? New club on Golden Cloud. Dave's German Club. Thank you. © BF-WATCH TV 2021 ¶¶ Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. so so Like a pizza you didn't even order yet? Bitchin' pie house.
Starting point is 00:38:52 We are the future, man. We come from the future. If you guys want me to do vocals, guess vocals for you on one of your records. That was fucking tight. Yeah, man. Isn't it? Those guys really...
Starting point is 00:39:03 Joby, what'd you think about that tape? That was good. Yeah, that was real good? Those guys really... Joby, what'd you think about that tape? That was good. Yeah, that was real good. Those guys really... You got the goods. I'm wondering... That doesn't really sound like the other stuff I've heard. Yeah, I'm wondering who brings...
Starting point is 00:39:14 Like, because I love Cave. Paul Bunyan. I love Cave. And the other dude, I'm really sorry. I don't know what project you're from, but it sounds totally different from Cave. And even with the internet, we didn't look it up. And this stuff sounds kind of similar to Cave.
Starting point is 00:39:28 It's like that Kraut, like that Noi-influenced Kraut Rock stuff. So I want to know what that guy is bringing to the table. Because the stuff that he records under his other project doesn't sound anything like this. What, Warhammer 48k? No, it's not that. It's something else. Oh, okay. I can't remember
Starting point is 00:39:46 what the hell the movie is. We'll look it up at some point. Yeah, Bitchin' Baja has been my new shit. Yeah. I just got two records.
Starting point is 00:39:53 I split with Faceplant and they did like an alternative soundtrack to a Peter Greenway movie. Oh, yeah? Water Wreckers or something like that. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:40:04 It was pretty good. What am I going to play? I'm going to go for this guy. You snatched that up. Got it. This is a Baculum ink fetish cassette on Fage tapes. You know what?
Starting point is 00:40:22 I used to say Fage all the time. It's Fage, yeah. I went right back to saying Fage again. On Fage tapes. You know what? I used to say Fage all the time. It's Fage, yeah. I went right back to saying Fage again. On Fage tapes, number 147. This came out... A while ago, right? I got it written down right here.
Starting point is 00:40:38 It's a C10. Actually, I didn't know when it came out. It's a C1010 and it's just a recording of the dude tattooing his legs just tattooing himself he's got some heavy black work going on
Starting point is 00:40:54 he's got a chain on his feet for harsh noise there's a picture of it on the inside he's tattooing the N on his foot it says what exactly does it say what he's tattooing is he is this a recording of him tattooing the h and the n or is it well it just says ink fetish and then the bath and it's a gross picture of him in the bathtub with his legs i don't know he's with his legs. I don't know. He's with his legs. Ugh.
Starting point is 00:41:30 You're not aroused by that? What kind of dog has he got in that picture? That's a Pekingese. No, it might be. Oh, yeah? I worked at a vet hospital. Joe, I was going to say, this tape was made for you. You used to work at a vet hospital. Now you are a tattoo
Starting point is 00:41:45 artist um and you do a cassette podcast i don't like harsh noise walls yeah well this is just the sound of tattooing so all sounds were it says right here all sounds were recorded while tattooing hn on feet so we'll get five minutes of baculum tattooinging the letters H and N in black, very bold, on his feet. And here it is. so Thank you. so Thank you. All right. so so so All right. so so so yes so Thank you. so Baculum Ink Fetish C10 on Phage Tapes. That's from
Starting point is 00:47:16 2011. Sounded good. No effects. It's just It's gotta be layered. It's layered, yeah. He layered it, but it's just there's no effects or processing going on. It's just the pure sounds of the... Sick walls. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:47:32 Just layered over. There was a hundred of these, so you may be able to still get it if you're interested. And a hundred of these... It's definitely a novelty type tape, but I enjoy having it in a collection. No, it's pretty good. I liked it like i remember joe talking about it and i thought it was just gonna be like more but i actually enjoyed listening to it yeah yeah i liked it i liked it better than i thought i was gonna like
Starting point is 00:47:55 it i thought it was just gonna be like a just one take just like one tattoo right right right i would like him to do uh i would like him to do another one. Yeah. Yeah, tattooing something else on you. Let's see what that sounds like. Tattoo some color. If you... No, you know what? Tattoo tabs out somewhere on you. Send us the recording, and we'll put it out.
Starting point is 00:48:16 Oh, there you go. Back up. There you go. Mike's fishing. He is fishing. He loves to fish. I'm a fishing man. He likes catfishing, too.
Starting point is 00:48:24 Oh, get out there. It's just you on the boat. Just you. I'm talking fishing man. He likes catfishing, too. Oh, get out there. It's just you on the boat. Just you. I'm talking about the internet grossness. Just you on a boat? Oh, yeah. I love that, too. It's just you, sweaty in your garage.
Starting point is 00:48:35 And I don't think you want to... For catfishing, I think you're just at, like, the creek. Yeah. You're not going noodling. You're not, like, out on the boat, like, where you can't see land. I'm always on the boat. You're always on the boat. Life's't see land. I'm always on the boat. Life's a boat. That's me and a couple of six
Starting point is 00:48:50 tall boys. Time out. Hello? Okay, I'll be right down. Pizza time. Joe B., go get the pizza and we'll talk up this next take. It's Joe's turn, so just pause it. All right.
Starting point is 00:49:06 We're going to have to pause it. All right. We got pizza. Got the pizza now. That's our fuel, man. Give me fuel, give me fire. All right, B., what do you got? I got this Sensum and Clunch.
Starting point is 00:49:27 Why do you really have? You get the new Sensum and Clunch Why do you really have You get the new Sensum and Clunch No it's Sensum and Clunch You've heard Clunch's solo shit No I don't like solo shit It's too fucking dumb Sensum and Clunch Sensum's got a new project He's working on
Starting point is 00:49:39 Sensum's good I imagine like if you're If you're at like If you're at like a thing Like how to get women And there's like a guy With like Like a shitty douchebag dude with one of those Madonna mics on, and he's like, you got two rules, fellas. I'm George Sensum.
Starting point is 00:49:52 You got a Sensum, and you got a Clunch. You were going with his name. These were two guys giving it. George Sensum and Philip Clunch. Philip Clunch. That came out on Holodeck. Cracked the shit out of this Noroco, huh? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:50:09 That one was pissing me off. This is, uh, I'm digging this. Somebody cloned Philip Glass and it went wrong. Philip Clunch. Philip Clunch. He's almost like him. He's a little fucked up. I dig this artwork. I know you don't, Dave, because it's a little fucked up this i dig this artwork i know you don't dave
Starting point is 00:50:27 because it's a triangle on there well i love it like this never-ending never-ending story the logo oh the logo has more like it's a picture from television of like a bad show that came on in the 70s yeah holotech now do you think that was on purpose that this is all sort of pixelated? Yes. Yeah. Because I was going to say, it's a low DPI, but it looks good. It's got like, that's what they were going for. What do you got?
Starting point is 00:50:55 Printing on the... Oh, this is... Hold on. Let me fold this out. Oh, this... She keeps going. What is that? One, two, three panels.
Starting point is 00:51:02 She's got legs. Look at it. This is awesome. Look at the legs on that. Look at the legs on that. Did we get this in the mail like two weeks ago or so? This is probably a newer one. Artwork by Chris King.
Starting point is 00:51:16 Chris King, let us know if you tried to make it look like this. Because if you tried to make it look like this, then I like it. But if you didn't try to make it look like this, then I like it. But if you didn't try to make it look like this, then I don't like it. I hate you. I like how Side B, the track is called Black Train Jack. Is that what they used to call
Starting point is 00:51:34 you? That was like an old hardcore band, right? Black Train Jack? I don't think so. Yeah, that's an old hardcore band. Back in your strawberry days, which is another one of the tracks from this tape. Alright, let's get in on a new one. Sentiment Clunch. Clunch.
Starting point is 00:51:49 I wouldn't say clutch, but it's Clunch. I don't like to clench. No, clenching is not for now. It looks like a self-titled tape, possibly. I hear Sentiment does. It's working for guys. Clenching. Clenching?
Starting point is 00:52:00 Let's start that. All right, a new one on... Dave already has tons of videos. Yeah, he's littered. His hard drive is littered with them. Cassette on holodeck. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. ¶¶ Thank you. Thank you. Oh, Sentiment Clunch. That was tight. I like that.
Starting point is 00:58:16 It's good. The whole tape's good. Do we know if it's one person or... I have no idea. I bet it was all Clunch that was doing that shit. Oh, yeah? That was all modular, so... Couldn't even hear Sentiment.
Starting point is 00:58:24 Yeah, I looked up... Well, Clunch turned him down in the mix. You looked up what? Classic Clunch that was doing that shit. That was all modular stuff, right? Well, Clunch turned him down in the mix. You looked up what? Classic Clunch. You looked up what? I remember reading something about the state that said it was modular stuff. Okay. I dig also the cassette shell, like the
Starting point is 00:58:38 flooded, dark... You alright, Dave? Heebie-jeebies. All right. The really heavy flood of purple on the white. Because that show looks tight. Yeah, it looks good. You could still pick that up from holodeck if you're so inclined. All right, Davod.
Starting point is 00:58:55 What do you got, Dave's Corner? I want to go. I don't want to go. I will go with two cuts. Two cuts. Two cuts. Double Dave corner. Off of this DZ Tapes comp called a bunch of consonants in a row.
Starting point is 00:59:16 D-Y-B-N-Z-N-B-R-2. Comp on DZ. Yeah, this is a... I dig this logo that they have. This little... A bunch of... What do you call those? What are those shapes?
Starting point is 00:59:32 Hexagons? One, two, three, four, five... How many sides do they have? Square. Six, but there's also... A rectangle. That's like a stretched out square. I can't remember what it is now. I'll remember it later. A stop sign. It looks like a big out square. I can't remember what it is now.
Starting point is 00:59:46 I'll remember it later. A stop sign. It looks like a big honeycomb. No, that's not a stop sign. A chevron. A chevron? Yeah. From Stargate?
Starting point is 00:59:53 The chevron's logo is that, and then you need six symbols and the seventh symbol to determine a location to start from in space. Yeah, seven chevrons. Right, but six chevrons to get a location. What the fuck are you guys talking about? Seventh to get destination. This was in Clunch's workshop that he did.
Starting point is 01:00:13 So that's why it's called a chevron. Where's this label from? I've determined I don't like hard sci-fi. You don't? Because hard sci-fi is like pure science. You like flying sci-fi they're from you don't no because hard sci-fi is like you like fantasy or science like you like flying and dragons and scrolls fiction that has that element in it yeah you like science
Starting point is 01:00:35 fiction that has like yeah a scroll or or a sword that does something special yeah like someone whose eyes like glaze over and then they start speaking in tongues. Right? Yeah. I only like sci-fi when there's a human element. You only like it when there's a human element. Yeah. I don't like it when it's all aliens.
Starting point is 01:00:55 Dave likes a love story. I need something to ground me. I need, you know, based in New York City and then the aliens come. I like that. I love that. I love that. I love that. ID4? Never forget.
Starting point is 01:01:08 Where is this label from? They're from another country, right? They're not from this country. DZ Tapes? Yeah. I don't even know. I don't even know either. It might be from... Not on my podcast.
Starting point is 01:01:16 I do... There are a lot of good band names on here. Yeah. Easily Suede, but Suede is S-U-E-D-E. Yeah. Ricky... Air Sports. I really like Air Sports.
Starting point is 01:01:27 Jim Kidder. Jim Kidder. Ricky Eat Acid. Melt, Melt, Melt. Marble Lion. Blythe Field. These are good. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:01:38 And you're going to play two tracks. What are you playing? I'm going to play a track from Air Sports followed by a track by Prism House. It's because it was so hard to find. All the tracks are really, really good. Orca Life. Orca Life. Yeah, that's a good one.
Starting point is 01:01:52 Seabright. Is this a vaporwave tape? Not really, no. No, it kind of might dabble. Yeah. But it's like all kinds of shit. Mostly beats. There's beats in there. There's beats in there.
Starting point is 01:02:06 Speaking of fantasy, dig this cover here. That's a narwhal. Oh yeah, there's the horn on there. A narwhal in space with what's coming out of it. A bunch of things in the background. There's a shitty fucking band-aid on the front though.
Starting point is 01:02:21 I hate those. It didn't even come from this tape. The cassette itself is a yellow shell with a square sticker on it with the label's logo. And then there's the band-aid thing from I assume another tape.
Starting point is 01:02:36 Like this spray painted middle of the shell sticker thing. Where did that come from? That really distracts from the narwhal too. Can I peel it off? Can I peel this off? No, I got it. It's coming right off.
Starting point is 01:02:53 It is and it isn't. It is and it isn't. It either has to come up all the way or it has to stay on. That leaves us in a weird gray area. I don't like it when there's a sticker that almost got all the way peeled off. All right, well, let's play these two cuts from Air Sports and Prism House. The Double Dose of Dave. A Double Dose of Dave on the DZTape comp.
Starting point is 01:03:18 D-Y-V-N-Z-M-B-R. Two, two, two strips of bacon. And here they are. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. so So happy to be here. Thank you. Thank you. Whoa. Deep house. Are we peaking? I just peaked. That was awesome. What are those projects again?
Starting point is 01:12:04 Airsports and Prison House Nice Good job boys Yeah Me's turn? Yeah Okay I gotta Oh before I get to the tape
Starting point is 01:12:11 I wanna play We have a A commercial That we have To play What? Oh sponsors We got a sponsor
Starting point is 01:12:19 We gotta play You wanna play the commercial right now? Yeah Alright Is this a surprise? Yeah A little surprise for you boys First ever tabs out On air commercial You want to play the commercial right now? Yeah. All right. Surprise. Yeah. A little surprise for you, boys.
Starting point is 01:12:27 First ever tabs out on air commercial. Hey there, folks. You know who the fuck this is. It's the clandestine return of the Delaware Dan. As you know, my number one motto is helping you and your family out with any problem you could possibly have. No problem. Does your family suffer? have. No problem. Does your family suffer? Good.
Starting point is 01:12:46 No problem. Call Delaware Dan at 302-421-69-69-666-420. Extension tags out at the Route 40 Auto Suplex. No problem. Call now. All right, that's it. Oh, the Route 40 auto suplex. I love the air horn.
Starting point is 01:13:08 Yeah, that... No problem. No problem. That was local fella Alex Homan, who just... Delbert Dan. Delbert Dan, who put on the... All right, Dave, did you like that one? Dave's having a conniption.
Starting point is 01:13:25 Get back Get with it I think he's having a real issue Because That's his dad From the future Or the past I did
Starting point is 01:13:34 I found Did you see that picture of Dave's dad? I did yeah It looks just like him Oh I just had to paint a little mustache on him A little one That's
Starting point is 01:13:43 A little mustache He's got a little mustache It him. A little one. That's a little mustache. He's got a little mustache. It's always wet. Everything's wet. Alex is who did the Delaware Noise Fest a few weeks ago. I'm going to play a tape that I got there from this dude, Michael Barker,
Starting point is 01:13:59 who has his project is called Embarker. Dave, calm down. Dave's zonking. Dave, you're peaking. Wait, wait, wait. What's his name? You got a lot quicker than I did. His name is Mike Barker. Mike Barker. And his project is Embarker. Embarker. Look at that.
Starting point is 01:14:14 I see what he did there. See, I'm surprised you got it that quickly. Because I went to the fest, talked to him a little bit, got the tape, enjoyed his set, enjoyed him as a person. Seemed like a nice fella The next Went home
Starting point is 01:14:27 Actually didn't go home Went out to A restaurant with you guys Got something to eat Got a beer Went home Went to sleep I probably watched
Starting point is 01:14:38 An episode of Cheers Went to sleep Woke up Got in the shower I'm a woody man You're a woody man I'm a coach man But I'm getting into woody Got in the shower And as I'm in the shower I'm a woody man and you're a woody man i'm a coach man but i'm getting in a woody got in the shower and as i'm in the shower i'm going oh shit m barker it took
Starting point is 01:14:50 that long it was a really delayed response but this tape the tape is it's a tape on spleen coffin label from baltimore from 2011 called big gary called big I have to name my label? Called Big Gary. And the cover, look at this. The cover is like a hand drawing of, what is the neighbor from Aqua Teen Hunger Force? Carl. It looks like Carl. I love the shading under the eyes. Yeah, we all know a Big Gary.
Starting point is 01:15:18 He's got on the undershirt with the pepperoni stains. This is actually... Yeah, the cover is like a piece of memo paper. It's actually a legal pad. Yeah, like yellow legal pad. And look at the cassette itself. Take that tape out. The legal pad runs all the way around,
Starting point is 01:15:36 so it's kind of like a U-card type deal. And it's on the shell. Yeah, they glued it onto the shell, the legal pad paper. But it's like vertical lines. It's pretty awesome. It's on the shell. Yeah, they glued it onto the shell, the legal pad paper. But it's like vertical lines. It's pretty awesome. It's pretty good. This guy had a piece of a... He had like a shadow box, like you would put two pictures in.
Starting point is 01:15:53 And Joe, I don't think you were there yet. No, I didn't get there yet. He had like a shadow box that you put two pictures in. And underneath, inside the shadow box, I don't know if they had like... Something with like a touch screen. Like a chaos pad or a Kindle Fire or what else do they have nowadays? He had something. Something that was, he was blooping and bleeping all over those.
Starting point is 01:16:18 It was, it was. Yeah, and it was just, like, two clear windows, too. So it was, like, two, like, four by six windows. And he was just like running his fingers across both of them making all kinds of crazy noises don't know what that fella did but i liked it he's also playing um as is uh unjoined who we played earlier and dave is also playing and i'm playing uh john pile who is a regular on the show is playing joe b you were going to play but now you're not i don't know i'm on the fence you're on the show, is playing. Joby, you were going to play, but now you're not. I don't know. I'm on the fence. You're on the fence about it.
Starting point is 01:16:45 Cheap Fest 4 in Richmond, Virginia, October, I believe, 26th, 7th, and 8th. Are those the dates? It's the last weekend in 25th, 26th, and 27th. Yeah. The last weekend in October. Because you guys aren't going to stay for Sunday, right? No. We both have to head back pretty early. But we're playing Saturday, yeah. the last weekend in October. Cause what? You guys aren't going to stay for Sunday, right? No, we both had to head back pretty early,
Starting point is 01:17:07 but we're playing Saturday. Yeah. There's like, I want to say there's like probably a hundred people. Yeah. There's a hundred people playing at least between the three days. Yeah. It should be an awesome time.
Starting point is 01:17:17 Uh, so, you know, Google cheap best for find some information on it. It's cheap. Sponsored by Google. It's Google cheap. It's sponsored by Google. It's Google CheapFest4. It's sponsored by Google.
Starting point is 01:17:27 Google and Red Bull. Google, Red Bull, Staples, Hewlett Packard, Target, Trader Joe's. NASCAR. NASCAR. Trees. Just trees in general. Trees in general. Who represents Trees?
Starting point is 01:17:42 Shonies. Shonies. Dave loves Shonies. Starting point is 01:18:14 Does it say who did the artwork for this anywhere on here? Because I feel like whoever drew this picture. Actually, the artwork by Thomas Clark. Big ups to Thomas Clark of the Baltimore Clarks, wherever the hell your family's from. All right, here's a cut. Embarker, Big Gary. Just a tape. I'm out. Thank you. Starting point is 01:23:41 Big Gary. Cassette on Spleen Coffin from 2011. Spleen Coffin also just recently released a double cassette comp called something like Splenic Injuries. Oh, here it is right here. How convenient. How convenient. Comes in a little box.
Starting point is 01:24:00 I just want to spit this pizza out that I'm trying to eat. That's disgusting. I just couldn't talk and I knew I wasn't going to swallow it I want to savor it put them on a cracker yeah I might do that alright B what do you got
Starting point is 01:24:17 let me see that. Are these the Brad Packs? I can't remember. That's a Brad Pack. That's your standard Brad Pack. Tell me a little bit about Gareth Flowers. I don't know anything about Gareth Flowers, actually. I do my research. Dave, what do you know about Gareth Flowers?
Starting point is 01:24:41 No, this is when you pause it, Dave. You find things out and you're like things out well or all of a sudden you start hearing just like a robot talking gareth flowers born 1979 um uh whatchamacallit sunshine limited always i love these i love the um they do the brad packs yeah and i love how they like consistently do them they oh what did you do to yours I don't know. I always like that one. I got it. A little scuffed.
Starting point is 01:25:07 Should we send it back? Never mind. I take back what I said about Sunshine Limited. This is somewhat of a... What did you say about Sunshine Limited? That I liked all their Brad Packs. I like how they always do it. I like how they always look nice, but this one's damaged, so I'm taking it all back.
Starting point is 01:25:23 All back. Every last word. Every last word. Every last word. You're stupid, and we hate you. You got this. You got this queued up to something?
Starting point is 01:25:31 Yes, I did. Oh, is that it? All right, this just came out. I think we got this in the mail, like, a couple, yeah, like, two or three weeks ago, yeah.
Starting point is 01:25:39 Actually, I think I got this last time. Last time what? Yes, that we were here. You did? Yeah. Yeah, which was, like, two weeks ago. Yeah, the same, well, I'm agreeing with you. Last time what? The last time that we were here. You did? Yeah. Yeah, which was like two weeks ago. Yeah, the same.
Starting point is 01:25:47 Well, I'm agreeing with you. We're not arguing. I thought we were always arguing. Right. I always have a bottle at the ready to break. There's a pool of glass underneath in May. Two weeks ago. I said 14 days.
Starting point is 01:26:00 That's the same as two weeks ago. Gareth Flowers, A Beginner's Guide to Lucid Dreaming It's a C-79 Recently released on Sunshine Limited We got number 4 out of 50 here Sunshine Limited number 25 Here's a piece from the middle of Side A © transcript Emily Beynon © BF-WATCH TV 2021 Thank you. The power of the divine power is the power of the divine power. Thank you. © BF-WATCH TV 2021 I'm not sure. on the inside. I knew it was trumpet. Is this his only tape? I don't know.
Starting point is 01:30:27 It's tight. On Discogs, it's the only thing he has. Which has to be real. But I like how it says profile U.S. American trumpet player from U.S. America.
Starting point is 01:30:38 U.S. America. That's a little more south. Yeah, it's below the Mesa. Between Texas and Mexico, but it's really small. Right on. Welcome to U.S. America. No, that was really fucking awesome. I enjoyed that. That was really good. yeah it's below the Mesa between Texas and Mexico but it's really small right on welcome to US America no that was
Starting point is 01:30:47 that was really fucking awesome I enjoyed that it was really good I enjoyed that a great deal I'm looking at a picture right now
Starting point is 01:30:52 of uh I guess it was uh Brad Rose mentioned it on uh his caught on tape column he got number 50 out of 50 though
Starting point is 01:31:00 I think you got 4 out of 50 suck my dick Jesus Christ alright Joe won out of 50 though i think you got four out of 50 so another my dick all right joe won oh brad rose who just wrote oh damn i'm nailing it today with these who just wrote a uh science fiction for you don't take credit for it who just wrote a science i'm talking about something else i already moved on he just wrote a uh a book called the isolatarium oh i got it i just bought it but i haven't i haven't read it yet i just finished it the other day it's really good yeah i enjoyed it it's a two-parter and only part one is available on my uh on my kindle yeah you can get it from where'd you get the amazon store yeah
Starting point is 01:31:39 but what's up with the soundtrack because i didn't have any link to any sort of soundtrack oh you might have to get in touch with him about that. Is this like a science fiction book? It's a Scientology book. It's a how-to Scientology, how to get started. I can get into that. No, it's... Yeah, it's...
Starting point is 01:31:55 I enjoyed it. You got it for your Kindle on Amazon, huh? See, I got like a PDF. No, I can just barely handle science fiction movies, science fiction book. What kind of films do you like, Dave? See, I wouldn't say it's not like heavy science fiction. It's not hard science. It's on Earth.
Starting point is 01:32:14 It's just in the future. Things are just a little, you know. It's a little bit different. They just do things a little bit differently. It's not aliens on aliens. No, there's no aliens. Okay. Well, I guess we should be talking about it.
Starting point is 01:32:26 People might want to read it. Yeah. So, I have a question. All right. You do. If there's a book that's just set far in the future, is that considered science fiction? Yes. No.
Starting point is 01:32:38 No? Yes. Not necessarily. No. Then, yes. How far in the future? 50 years. From when?
Starting point is 01:32:47 Is there any sort of advancements in technology? Well, of course there's going to be advancements. That's hard sci-fi. Okay, what if it's five years in the future and there's a new iPhone? Soft sci-fi. Okay. Sci-fi 5S. There's definitely a new iPhone.
Starting point is 01:33:03 Yeah. No, I don't think just because necessarily it's in the future means it makes it sci-fi 5s there's definitely a new iphone yeah no i don't think just because it necessarily it's in the future means it makes it sci-fi right i if there's weird technological things but of course there's going to be weird technology technology so then by definition it has to be like sci-fi right because it's like technological advances. If the theme of the book is dealing with some sort of... See, now you're changing it. Now you're adding shit. Right. We're having a discussion.
Starting point is 01:33:32 In a discussion, there's back and forths and changing. I like to do all the talking. No, but what I'm saying is you're changing. Dave said, if a book is set in the future, is it a science fiction book? And you said yes. And now you're adding... But...
Starting point is 01:33:47 I said if it deals with a strong technological... So if it's a book about the 2020 World Series... And they do not mention flying cars, flying robots... I was going to say there's flying robots. Or lasers. If they still play the
Starting point is 01:34:03 Great American pastime the exact same way they always have the use of steroids with the big fat gloves that are all like single fingers yeah it's the exact do that and that's all they talk about okay well i got it the cubs finally won the 2050 i got cubs one okay i I got it. Everything, it's 2030. 2030. It's about baseball. The game's played exactly the same. The rules are exactly the same. The uniforms, everything's exactly...
Starting point is 01:34:31 A-Rod's son. Everything's exactly the same. But the vending people have been replaced by robots. But they're not even mentioned. Well, then how do we know? There's one part when somebody says they called over the popcorn bot, but they never talk about it.
Starting point is 01:34:49 Then all of a sudden it's sci-fi. Hard sci-fi. Sports-fi. We're talking about a book. A director's cut of a book? A director can cut a book. It's just paper. You tell me Scorsese couldn't cut a book? Oh, he could cut a damn fine book What are we doing
Starting point is 01:35:07 Are we still doing tabs out We were talking about If a book or a movie is set in the future Is it considered science fiction And we landed on baseball Yes That was the answer we came up with Robot hot dog vendors.
Starting point is 01:35:25 Robot hot dog vendors. Then yes. Get your robo popcorn here. Robo dogs. Robo dogs. Get your robo dogs. B.W. Herman. Beijing Mr. Herman.
Starting point is 01:35:39 I saw a pretty good YouTube video of a vendor at a baseball game who's the fastest beer guy or whatever. Because he has this special thing that he made that cuts the top of the can open. And then he pours it out two at a time. Wait, he made the thing that cuts it open and he's just a beer vendor? He's not an inventor? Hey Dave, when you edit all this, can you do the thing where it fades out, the conversation fades out, and then fades back in? So it makes it seem like it went on for hours. Makes it seem like, not that it is.
Starting point is 01:36:12 He has two cups. Okay. I think the device... I don't remember how it works, but it was pretty cool. Excellent story, Joe. So what you're saying is that there's a guy who created... He invented the can opener. For two beer cans at once.
Starting point is 01:36:39 The double barrel can opener. So the invention of the can opener is... It's new? We use a regular can opener on that right now. I swore that happened years ago. Not gonna happen. This is a can opener that you can bring to a baseball game. And do two at once.
Starting point is 01:36:58 And that's the future. God, I wish you could see it. Okay. What do you got, Dave? What do you got, Okay. What do you got, Dave? What do you got? Is it my turn? It's your turn. Let's do a cut from this tape by a project called...
Starting point is 01:37:14 Scissor Butt. Parrying on 10 seconds. Really? Yep. It's the... Apparently, it's... Daniel Voigt. Oh, Daniel Voigt.
Starting point is 01:37:30 The guy who does sick, sick tapes. Sick, sick, yeah. And this is all tape loops recorded with four Walkman. Oh, all right. I was so confused when you texted me today, Dave, and said, does Daniel Voigt ring a bell for you? And I and said, does Daniel Voigt ring a bell for you?
Starting point is 01:37:45 And I was like, does Daniel Voigt ring a bell for me? Why would a person be ringing a bell for me? That's the first time Mike's ever heard that figure of speech before. I don't do figures of speech. Talk to me just regular. All right, you're going to play this split with Parishi on Skel? Yes. Came out just as fun.
Starting point is 01:38:09 Where is it? It should be in the pile over there. Oh wait, it fell over one of these drill bits. No, it's not over here. Is this it? That's not over here. Is this it? That's it. All right. It's nice.
Starting point is 01:38:29 Nice purple shell. Yeah, purple shell. Very, like, if you're going to go... Purple shells are very in the season. Purple shells make the tape. If you're going to go minimal on imprinting, that's definitely just Arial font. Just go ahead and type it out there.
Starting point is 01:38:52 That's all you get. Dave, you said you saw a picture of someone dubbing these, right? Yeah, it was weird because when Mike Griffin, the dude that runs the label, was putting the batch together, he put a picture on Facebook of him.
Starting point is 01:39:08 It was a picture of the ProDub tapes in a 1-3 tape duplicator. So he's getting them imprinted. And then he's dumb and blank. That's weird. I think so. That's kind of weird. Alrighty.
Starting point is 01:39:24 Well, let's play something off the... You say it, Dave. I can't say it right now. I'm still thinking about that can opener. Alrighty. Well, let's play something off the you say, Dave. I can't say it right now. I'm still thinking about that can opener. Sorry. It's Herring and Siamese from the split with Parishi on Skell.
Starting point is 01:39:40 Here's a cut. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. THE END © BF-WATCH TV 2021 Thank you. © BF-WATCH TV 2021 Thank you. © BF-WATCH TV 2021 Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. so I think you just made that up, Jeff. No, it's definitely from... What is it from? It's from something. Yeah, it's definitely from... What is it from? It's from something. Yeah, it's from a song in the 90s. Like they said it right in the beginning. Fuck, what was it? I can't remember now. It doesn't matter, let's move on.
Starting point is 01:49:55 That was awesome. That was on a new batch on Skull, right? Yeah, nice lo-fi loopy loops. You have a new Veils tape on that batch, right? Yes. And there's a third tape. Do you remember what the third tape was? It is a split with Rambutan and...
Starting point is 01:50:14 Why are you talking like a robot? Huh? What is a Rambutan? It's a fruit. Yeah. Rambutan is a fruit. Yeah. I think it's Rambutan and Burnt Hills.
Starting point is 01:50:23 Okay. Yeah, I think all those are still available from scale. You can pick them up. All right, I'm going to play this tape by local dude. Goes by the name Shredder Ghost. This guy Ian from around here just put out a tape, self-release tape named Concretion. Play a cut off of Side B.
Starting point is 01:50:48 Now, this, I normally, you know how I don't like the band-aids on the tape. We all know. I like this. We all agree. I like this one. Because this is not, this is like a, like a what? A label you would, when you got junk mail, they would print out the addresses on these labels. Oh, yeah. And it's covered with like,
Starting point is 01:51:04 there's like a heavy, army green spray paint and then, like, little dabbles of, like, blue and orange on there. It's got, like, a sandpaper texture to it. And, yeah, it's the same with the cover. Like, the cover is just... What is this? This paper is, like... Maybe it's just the spray paint, I'm feeling.
Starting point is 01:51:19 It's, like, textured spray paint, maybe. Yeah, I think that's the spray paint. Yeah, like a, like a, like a, you know, an army green with more of the blues and oranges and black dots on it. But then, I've got to say, just drop the ball here. On the inside, just the handwriting with the pen. You know how I feel about that. Yeah, I know you don't like it.
Starting point is 01:51:36 We actually talked about this on the phone how you didn't like it. Well, I like the tape. No, no, no. The tape's good. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You don't like the writing on the inside. You don't like the writing on the inside. I don't like the writing on the inside. But you don't like handwritten stuff.
Starting point is 01:51:48 You don't like handwritten stuff, period. Unless it's photocopied handwritten stuff. Yeah, and they're all the same. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. No, I'm not saying you don't like the tape. All right, all right.
Starting point is 01:51:57 I'm saying that you didn't like the handwriting on the inside. Yeah. You just got to go that extra mile and just get something printed on there. Can you know your Kinkos or your FedEx Kinkos or... It's gotta be Kinkos. It's gotta be Kinkos related. I can't read and stuff if it's so nice.
Starting point is 01:52:14 Alright. Well, this is, I believe the second part of the Side B track Seller Situations. Seller Situations, huh? Seller Situations and uh Seller Situations huh? Seller Situations
Starting point is 01:52:27 from the Shredder Ghost Tape Concretion and here it is. Thank you. so Thank you. so Thank you. Shredder Ghost part of a track off of the self-release cassette Concretion that he just put out in an edition of 30 or so. Did I say Shredder Ghost when we went into it?
Starting point is 01:55:42 Did I say Seller Ghost? No, you said Shredder Ghost. I said Shredder Ghost? I definitely did? Yep Did I just say Cellar Ghost? No, you said Shredder Ghost. I said Shredder Ghost. I definitely did. Yep. Dave's on top of this. Dave knows. I heard.
Starting point is 01:55:50 He just played at the Delaware. He also played at the Delaware Noise Fest. I missed that. He crushed it, too. It was really good. I also missed his set. He played earlier in the day. Shredder Ghost, all one word if you're looking to google it and maybe find some information
Starting point is 01:56:06 it's got a band camp up I think they all got the band camps these days but they're doing these days they got their band camps and their hoverboards alright B what do you got I got this cosmonaut tape I like me some cosmonaut is this a newer one
Starting point is 01:56:23 I got it at voice of the Valley. Oh, it says 2013. Yeah. On River City Noise. Akron, Ohio. Let me check this guy out. Dave will hate it.
Starting point is 01:56:34 Inside his triangles. Man, the download code. Is it just me or does every tape have a download code now? Yeah. That's awesome. That's a good thing though, right? It's great. We like that.
Starting point is 01:56:42 We love that. That's a good thing. You don't like it. I never use them. Yeah. I like it, but I hardly ever use them. I hardly ever use them either, right? It's great. We like that. We love that. That's a good thing. You don't like it. I never use them. Yeah. I like it, but I hardly ever use them. I hardly ever use them either, but I do like them. Let me ask you an ethical question.
Starting point is 01:56:51 Just in case you want it. Now we have it. If I get a tape in the mail, like say someone sends tabs out a cassette and it comes with a download code. Jimmy Bumpers. Say Jimmy Bumpers. Self-titled. Yeah. Am I allowed to give that?
Starting point is 01:57:06 Are they one-time use? Like, you can only use these once? Yeah. Okay. So am I allowed... Since I'm not going to use it, I didn't buy the tape, because they sent it to us, I'm not going to use the download myself.
Starting point is 01:57:16 Am I allowed to give that to someone else? Yeah, that's fine. I am? Yeah. That's fair. You gave me one. Okay. Okay, just checking.
Starting point is 01:57:22 Because I do that all the time. Yeah. Okay. What, are you just i am people check this out check out this download give it to my mom i'm giving them to like um my uh my you know my only your mom your brother my mom it's only people i know giving my pastor all right well uh let's get into this i have a Cosmonaut split with someone. I can't remember who it is now. But it's really fucking good.
Starting point is 01:57:47 I've never heard of Cosmonaut before. No? Before I got into it. Where did you get this? You said Voice of the Valley? Yeah, at the... At the Experimedia... Yeah.
Starting point is 01:57:56 Set up the distro thing they had set up. Yeah. Right on. Dave, you got anything to say at all? Dave's losing steam. Dave's... Yeah, Dave lost steam weeks ago. He's out.
Starting point is 01:58:07 Are you even here? Yeah, I'm right here. What's up? Is that your Dave voice? That's the best I got. It's a little deeper. It's like, hey. Dave always asks that you try.
Starting point is 01:58:20 All right. You don't have to do a good job. You just got to try. Nope. All right. Here's something from the Cosmonaut cassette paragon a new one on rubber city noise Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Cosmonaut. Paragon. On Rubber City Noise.
Starting point is 02:02:08 That was awesome. Yeah, it's a good tape. It's really good. I wish I spent my time wisely and looked up who they had the split with that I heard. We were talking about stuff. But we were talking about other stuff and I just didn't get around to it. Hardcore. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:02:22 Hardcore for the hardcore. Modern hardcore. Modern hardcore hardcore would you even call hardcore the that kind of stuff like the new stuff like yeah like the haircut stuff i don't know i don't know find me a youth if you're a youth give me any give us an email and let us know all the stuff that you didn't hear us talking about. Let us know what it is. Behind the scenes footage. Behind the scenes. Yeah, I don't know. I don't know what you call it. Alright, Dave, you want to take us out? Yeah, I'll take it.
Starting point is 02:02:51 Well, Dave's awake. Somebody gave him a jolt cola. No, I have a Dave soundboard. I need a jolt cola. I wish he just repeated the same thing that he just said. Remember when I called your wife with this Dr. Phil soundboard, and she talked to me for like an hour? An hour.
Starting point is 02:03:10 It was like an hour. She thought I was a confused old man. No. It was like, it was years ago. When I was driving home from New Jersey yesterday, there was these like, you know, the construction signs with the lights that make the words? No.
Starting point is 02:03:22 No? No. Okay. Like LEDs. Sort of. You know, they're pretty big. signs with the lights to make the words no no no okay like it'll show like leds sort of you know they're pretty big okay like a christmas tree like orange they had these things it said silver alert silver alert silver ford license plate number blah blah blah call 9-1-1 what does that mean i'm like i googled it it's for um while you were driving, you Googled it? Yeah, yeah, yeah. It was tough. That was probably the silver alert. It's probably somebody Googling.
Starting point is 02:03:48 You just set off another silver alert. It's for a missing person that's like someone with mentally, you know, like Alzheimer's or something like that. Oh, because of the hair. Yeah. I guess. Yeah, it's Silver Fox. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:04:00 I don't know. It's weird because an amber alert doesn't mean they have amber colored hair. But a silver alert does. All right, Dave, what do you got? Let's go out on this oxy-kitten tape. Gladly. Came out on Field Hymns or is coming out on Field Hymns. Is it not out yet?
Starting point is 02:04:20 Is it an advance copy? Advance copy. Promo. Does it have the cutout? The punch? The hole punch? Over the UPC on the back? It's got like a little like...
Starting point is 02:04:30 The gold foot cover stripped off? This copy belongs to Tabs Out. Every 30 seconds. Oh, an audio watermark? An audio watermark. Joby, I just want to say, Mike already got his hands on this you know i did when i brought it over all over it put your rub your finger along that yeah the yellow on the cover no it's not the yellow it's not the yellow it's the black okay
Starting point is 02:04:55 i thought it was the yellow the um the artwork sort of looks like your print that's like diagonal it's like diagonal line print that goes around. Describe that artwork. It's like Robocop meets John Carpenter. There you go. You nailed it. That's exactly what it is, Robocop. There's like a yellow splatter on it. It meets like the Warriors.
Starting point is 02:05:19 Yeah. Yeah. Now the inside is like a classic Field Hymns. Roxy Kitten. Have you seen the preview for the new Robocop movie? No. Let me tell you why I hate it. A new Robocop movie?
Starting point is 02:05:33 Yeah, they're remaking it. Reboot. Because he's fighting the Terminator? No, because he can't fight the Terminator. That's why he's cute. Because, all right. So, I forget what the back, you know, he's in some sort of you know he gets shot fire or something only a certain percentage of his body is still what's his real name uh murphy
Starting point is 02:05:53 murphy yeah um alex murphy i think so he gets shot you're talking about so it's a total reboot this is like robocop doesn't exist right now. Yeah, yeah. Total reboot. Something, there's only like certain part of his body left, so they make him into the robot. Okay. The RoboCop. He has one hand, he's got the whole suit on, you know what the RoboCop suit looks like. Yeah, well, please. One hand.
Starting point is 02:06:17 You're asking me if I know what the RoboCop suit looks like. One hand is regular. Why? Exactly, you didn't want to make him a glove. Anything. Anything. Like, or just make that a robot hand too want to make him a glove? Anything. Anything. Or just make that a robot hand, too. Or make it a gun.
Starting point is 02:06:29 At this point, that doesn't humanize him anymore for me. Is that what they're trying to do? I guess so. And there's a lot of scenes with the visor up. What? Wow. Just remember how What's-His-Face looked really gross because it was like, face was peeled back.
Starting point is 02:06:43 Yeah, like my fingers that were in a tub too long. Yeah, like, that didn't make him look more human, with the face pulled back. Who's the guy from My So-Called Life? Isn't there, like, a Claire Danes? That's a woman. Who's the... What, the nerd guy with the curly hair
Starting point is 02:06:58 that really loves her from Next Door? No, the main dude. Jared Leto? Is that like, did they get, like, a Jared Leto to play him? So he's like, he takes the whole Robocop thing off and like it's like a it's like a Twilight kind of situation going on.
Starting point is 02:07:12 There's a love story. A heavy love story. I hate the one hand that's normal. Yeah. You want to give him one of these? I don't want to give him one of those. One of mine? Hold it away. Why don't you cut? You don't know about that? Oh okay. That's the fingertip that got cut off. Why don't you cut... You don't know about that? Oh, okay.
Starting point is 02:07:26 That's the fingertip that got cut off. Why don't you cut any of the nails? All the nails on this hand are way longer than the nails on that hand. I like to get them really long and then I...
Starting point is 02:07:36 I pick them. You're so disgusting. You're getting off topic. Oh. You're trying to... Robocop, the new remake, looks stupid. Do you like chew them off?
Starting point is 02:07:43 No, I like to... I'm a pick-em man. He's a picker man. I'm a picket man I like a combination that's why the podcast works alright we're going to go out with some oxy kitten escape from new amsterdam which is funny that we brought up how it's like a john carpenter type
Starting point is 02:08:00 artwork I like the b-side of david bowie's low in your head that's where we're going right now. Thanks to Headboggle for doing the intro. Motion Sickness of Time Travel Remix Cassette is the next Tabs Out tape. Adhoc, thank you for letting us do our... Or you should be thanking us.
Starting point is 02:08:21 What am I talking about? You got the... You wanted the best, you got the best. Don't mess with the rest. The keyboard, like with our fists. Yeah. Thanks for listening. Episode 32.
Starting point is 02:08:35 Here's Oxykitten with something off of a tape called Escape from New Amsterdam. Mike's not reading from a monitor right now. On field hyymns. Bye. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. © BF-WATCH TV 2021 you you you
