Tabs Out. Episode number four. I'm Mike. I'm Joe. I'm Dave.
We got some new equipment.
Some fresh upgrades.
Upgrades.
Upgrades.
Yeah, got some mic stands.
Yeah, little tiny mic.
We're not holding microphones in our hands like morons trying to pass these tapes back and forth.
This is so freeing.
Yeah, I feel like a fancy little boy.
Got some pop guards on the mic so you don't have to listen to us fucking breathe.
Or my mustache rub against the microphone. They're really cheap ones, though, still will to be honest well it looks really good yeah that definitely it definitely looks spiffy yeah
thank uh people who donated to the website that uh helped oh yes we can actually yeah get this
stuff thanks a lot keep those coming yeah i'd like like to put Dave in a little glass room like Robin on Stern eventually.
That would be nice.
All right, you want to get into the first tape here?
Yeah, what you got?
What you got?
I got a split Paden Puke Buckets of Bile split C21 on Speed Tapes. 21 on speed tapes uh i got this in the first you know run of tabs out when it was the review side
yeah and uh i remember really liking this tape i've listened to a while so i actually remember
you talking about this yeah like uh really talking it up really talking it up it's uh
yeah payden puke where's the buckets of pile who am i playing uh yeah payden puke is
uh c lavender who releases some other shit under her name in quotations her name can't be like
lavender right her name is a last name as a last name like first name c last name lavender that's
not real might be might be might be but probably not probably not. Let's just say it's not.
I believe they call that a stage name.
That's a stage name.
She jams with Rap Bastard and Laundry Room Squelchers
and, like I said,
puts stuff out solo in her own name.
This is the only Peyton Puke thing
that I think I have.
Get a look at that.
You want to look at that cover?
It's both the ladies and the projects
blowing chunks on the cover.
Not sure if that's real either.
That might also be stage antics.
What do you think?
There's a little Photoshop going on?
You think they Photoshopped in real puke?
I like the color scheme in that room.
Oh, yeah.
It's like the green door.
They're sitting in front of a green door
and a blue wall.
It is a pretty nice color scheme.
But, yeah, I's like the green door. They're sitting in front of a green door and a blue wall. It is a pretty nice color scheme. Yeah.
But, yeah, I'm going to play something
where I'm going to play the entire Buckets of Bile side
or Paid and Puke.
I can't remember what I'm playing.
Paid and Puke is what you're playing.
Paid and Puke.
They're both so vomit-themed that you get kind of mushed up there
in the old brain skull.
All right, right on.
Well, here is the Paid and puke track of a verse split
with buckets of bile anything can become art anything can become art it was not
lunacy vision anything anything can become our thing can become art. Anything can become art. Circus monkey.
The clown.
Bicycle parts.
Anything can become art.
New identity.
Take on a new identity.
Parts take on a new identity.
Cup handles.
Old bicycle parts take on a new identity.
Anything can become art.
Can become art.
Can become art.
Can become art.
A new identity. Anything can become art, can become art, can become art. The new identity.
Anything can become a new identity.
The clown.
Now, the clown has transformed.
Now, anything can become art.
Art become art, can become art, can become art, can become art, can become art.
His very life has become a work of art.
The clown, candles, lights,
can become art.
He can be an interesting victim.
Anything can become art.
Anything can become art.
Can become art.
Can become art.
Anything can become art. Thank you. I'm going to go to the next station. The End © BF-WATCH TV 2021 Oh, my God! The End The End Thank you. Oh, my God. The I'm going to go to the moon. I'm sorry. All right, that was the pain and puke side from the Buckets of Bile split on Speed Tape,
Speed Tape number four.
Pretty good, pretty good side.
Into it.
Dave, you got something you want to jam?
Yeah, I'm going to play this Lavis Magmus tape.
Basement tapes.
Dude played in Newark a couple years ago. I think he was on the road with Regisphere.
Wasn't there supposed to be another dude on tour with them
who's house collapsed on them or something?
I kind of feel like there was a weird story.
I remember hearing a weird story about a dude who was supposed to go,
but then like...
It was something really weird like that, really bizarre.
I don't remember this dude's name,
and I couldn't find anything online about who he is.
But...
There's a nice card stock in this yeah
yeah yeah prison tape here they're um they're not making these anymore these prison tapes
uh it's not a prison there's a screw in there screw in there okay well either way they're not
making prison tapes anymore national auto company said they have like 15 000 left and then that's it really yeah and i find it kind of odd even if you take the like screws and all like that kind
of hardware out of a tape i feel like someone in prison could still figure out how to kill you with
a tape wait so that's why they call it a prison tape right isn't that why because they're in prison
so i think it's because you can't hide anything in it but they also don't put screws and stuff
like they put like they don't put metal screws and stuff in it what are you doing with a metal tiny metal screw you're forming a shank
of some sort a tiny little shank you get enough of those you get a whole bunch you get a whole
bunch of like i mean your fingers you move them really fast i've never been on friction creates
heat i've never been on the inside so i don't know what they're doing with them shit gets real
yeah shit does get real in there.
Let me check this out. You said this is like a nice card.
It is a nice card stock on there.
Yeah, it's a pretty nice looking tape.
It's the only thing on basement
tapes that I have. I don't really know too much
about them. I think it's
Jacob Durat's project
or label.
And he has a project called Sterile Garden.
Sterile. I don't think I've heard of that either.
Nothing on that.
What's going on with the spine here?
I don't know what's going on with that.
Yeah, the template was just a little bit off.
Yeah.
Measure twice, cut first.
No, what is it?
Measure twice, cut once.
Yeah.
That's the old adage.
Yeah, don't cut first because then what's the point of measuring?
It's already cut.
Touche. Tou cut. Touche.
Touche.
All right.
So you got side B rewound here?
Yeah, the B side.
We're going to play that.
OK.
And this is what, a C31?
You going to play the whole jam?
Is that what you want, Dave?
We can feel it out.
We'll feel it out.
We'll feel it out.
All right.

That was Lavis Magmus from the tape American DNA,
Basement Tapes from 2010, cut from the B-side.
Solid tape.
Almost exactly halfway through.
Yeah, just a little cut, a little sample for you.
Just a taste.
Joe B., you got something you want to jam?
Yeah, I want to play
maybe one side or cut off this
Astral Social Club tape on
what you guys said this was on Neon Blossom.
I think it is. I think those were like those fundraiser tapes
that Neon Blossom put out
for March Mobile.
Yeah, I think that's what it is. Did you figure out that's definitely
the Astral Social Club?
Yeah, that's my one beef
because I picked up this and the Carlos
Giafoni tape at the same time and neither of them are late they have no
they're both c30s spray paint yeah it's just like pretty much blank covers they both came out at the
same time the same time yeah they're both just white tapes with nothing written on them because
one of them is like a purple shell right so are Yeah. So are you positive that that's the actual source? Yeah, so I did some sleuthing.
Yeah, but even if you know it by the right cover, like are you sure?
You think I might have switched the tapes?
Yeah.
There's always a possibility of that.
Oh, God.
I guess we'll never know.
Unless someone hears it and writes an angry letter.
We should have an angry letter section.
Let me see that.
That would be nice.
Let me see the cover for that.
Then we'll read one. Yeah. Every episode. Yeah, if you want to write an angry letter section. Let me see that. That would be nice. Let me see the cover for that. Then we'll read one.
Yeah.
Every episode.
Yeah, if you want to write an angry letter.
Send your tape mail.
Good one, Dave.
Contact.
Tape the...
Contact.
This is just like...
The J card is just a blank piece of red paper.
Or not red, but orangeish paper with like a...
Transparency on top.
Transparency over top. Yeah, not much going on here not much going on and you don't see anything from uh oh it's a fundraiser
tape neon uh blossom anymore yeah it seemed like he you know came in hard and then went away like
a star like a supernova stars burn for millions of years yeah yeah well on a much smaller scale level i'm talking
about on a much smaller scale uh what was the other label he started like i want to say a year
ago like mid 2011 or something like that synthesizer label yeah he started another label that all the
all the tapes had like pictures like i think like close-ups of faces on them that were like all like
yeah i'm not sure you know, weird looking,
manipulated and stuff.
Yeah.
Synthesizer based.
Everything was people playing synths.
I remember seeing that stuff pop up,
but I didn't realize that was a separate label.
I thought that was still Neon Blossom.
Yeah.
Totally separate label.
But yeah,
I guess is there no more of the fest either then,
right?
Or is that still happening?
Did they do two of those?
I thought they did two of them. I thought it was really big and it was like i want to say like maybe
multiple venues at least multiple like stages and stuff like that and then the next year they kind
of and i think it was like maybe like four or five days that's too long that's way too long
that's way too long for anything yeah no fun fest that one year we went four days i can't i just i
don't have it in me Yeah it was brutal
I don't have that kind of work ethic
Four days schlepping around Brooklyn
Yeah nowhere to go
They did Neon Marshmallow Fest this year
January
Is it still in Chicago?
I thought I saw something about him doing stuff in New York
Yeah I thought there was something in New York as well
Couldn't tell you
Slow slow slow interwebs.
Don't worry about it.
All right.
Well, let's play a cut off this Astral Social Club tape on Neon Blossom. so I'm not sure if I can do it. so
uh Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, Thank you. so

Oh oh Oh, my God. so
so so oh I'm not going to let you go. Thank you. All right.
Astral Social Club on Neon Blossom.
That's Neil Campbell, who also does Fiber Cathedral Orchestra.
Actually, I don't think he's in that group anymore,
if that group's even together. He was in Fiber Cathedral Orchestra. Actually, I don't think he's in that group anymore, if that group's even together.
But he was in Viber Cathedral Orchestra and the A-Band.
I think in, like, 2003 or so,
Campbell Neal, who does Birchville Cat Motel,
put out a Neal Campbell, Campbell Neal split,
which I thought was pretty funny.
Which leads us perfectly to America's Favorite Game, which
I just made up while we were playing that tape.
Neil Campbell or Campbell Neal.
Oh, alright. Which I think
Joe B, me and you are going to play?
Yeah, I think we're going to play. Alright, Dave's going to read
a release title.
And then, now,
are we, whoever says it first
or is it rounds? I think it's rounds.
It's rounds, okay.
Who's going first? You go first? I think it's a round. It's rounds. Okay. It's two rounds.
It's two rounds.
All right.
Who's going first?
You go first.
I'll go first.
All right.
All right.
Round one.
Joe B, your turn.
I'm ready.
The release is called Boomerang is Love.
Neil Campbell.
Final answer?
That's my final answer.
That's correct.
Yes. All right. Give me one. All right. All answer. That's correct. Yes. Fuck.
All right, give me one.
All right.
All right, let's do this.
All right. The release is called West Yorkshire Drone Center.
I wish I knew where either of these dudes were from.
Neil Campbell.
That's correct.
That's correct. Got it. That's correct. That's correct.
Got it.
He's from England.
Tied it up.
This is going to come down to the wire.
Yeah, we might have to do a lightning round.
Ooh.
This sound of that.
This isn't the lightning round.
This isn't the lightning round right now.
Hit me, Dave.
All right.
I'm hot.
Well, see, I'm only...
He's on a roll
I'm limited to page one here because the wifi is so bad
Oh sorry
This will definitely be an outtake right
No let's use this
We're going to use up our pods
We're going to use this
The release is called
Homemade Audio Slush
Tough one
Campbell Neal
Incorrect Neal.
Incorrect.
Neal Campbell.
Alright, give it to me.
This is for the win. I just figured law of averages, you're going to
obviously choose a Campbell Neal. You already did two Neal Campbells.
See what I did there?
Dave doesn't mess around
with averages. He's a wild man.
Alright, here we go.
Give it to me.
Beautiful Spec Triumph. messing around with averages. He's a wild man. Alright, here we go. Give it to me. Beautiful spec triumph.
Dave, I'm going to say
Campbell Neal.
That is correct. Yes, I win.
I get this tape.
Birchville Cat Motel.
See, I figured the reason why I counted
because all Birchville Cat Motel, not all,
but almost all
Birchville Cap Motel releases are three words
no we had talked about that before
so I was looking for three
three worded
titles on EarthCurve
they're all three words
so that's why it threw me for a loop on that one
Creepream Frost Onset
Summer Seating Pulse
With Maples Ablaze.
I don't think he... Is he doing anything anymore?
Why the fuck do I have headphones on right now?
There's no reason for me to have headphones on.
Put them back on. I like it.
You look straight professional. Keep them on.
Upgrades. Well, I know he
stopped doing Birchville Cat Motel.
And stopped the label.
Celebrate Psy Phenomena too, right?
Oh, did he really?
Didn't go to another label? Only doing cassette and vinyl releases or something?
I remember seeing something about...
Couldn't tell you about that.
Not doing CD-Rs anymore because of blogs and stuff like that.
Just being able to just get it from the internet as opposed to ordering it from him.
I remember when we drove to go see him, and he played.
Because we were eating Chinese food for an hour. We were eating Chinese pan on the block thinking,
this show's never going to start on time, right?
That pissed me off.
That really did.
Yeah, you did not have a good time.
That pissed me off, too.
I was pissed.
And it wasn't even good Chinese food.
No, it was horrible.
And we had to go to that stupid vegan donut place for sale.
Oh, God.
Don't get me started on that.
I remember walking in, and they said he played.
And then he said, yeah, just played a sit.
That's my New Zealand accent.
That was pretty good.
It was really good.
I was so mad.
And then I went to that bar, which was a skinhead bar.
Oh, yeah.
I drank my beer, afraid, out of my mind.
Yeah, and then we just went home.
That sucks, man.
It was good bonding time.
Does he make it over here very much?
No.
Never.
That makes it way worse.
Which surprised me. You're playing a show
in the United States. You don't check
the Chinese place first to make sure no one's down there?
He played first.
I didn't know that. He played first?
Yeah, he played first. That makes no sense.
Dave, it's alright. Calm down.
That's why we were taking our time.
Yeah, that makes absolutely
no sense. Why would somebody from New Zealand
play first in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania
on a weeknight?
Somebody dropped the ball on that.
Yeah.
Anyway.
Who's up next?
I guess I can play something.
I don't think you're ready.
Here, I got a tape.
No, I'm going to play.
I just got this the other day it's a steve
kenny tape called dawn widow on imminent frequencies just ordered this came in the
mail like two days ago uh it's really really good tape he doesn't put a ton of stuff out right i'm
not ready no i gotta rewind it You don't see too much.
I think he was... The beginning of Demons, right?
Yeah, and I'm assuming that project's on hold
because he moved down to where he's living in New Orleans now.
So I guess Demons isn't happening.
The last I heard about Demons, they were...
What was that cable access show?
Synth Workshop?
Yeah, whatever happened to that? So good. Did you ever see that Synth access show at a synth workshop yeah whatever happened to that
so good
did you ever see that
synth workshop show
yeah
YouTube video
well I guess not YouTube
but some online videos
yeah
genius
genius
yeah it was definitely
it was definitely a brilliant
like you know
total cable access vibe
of dudes like you know
jamming and then
getting interviewed real quick oh is that the one that had like um they did like
some interviewer like superimposed like weird like graphics and shit like that on top of different
camera angles they had like three games like like carrotop was put that up on camera two camera two
can you put that up yeah that shit was fucking genius man that dude did uh like a um another
thing after that.
I forget what it was called, but it had to do with vans.
Yeah, they put the synthesizers on the dashboard.
Yeah, it was pretty funny.
It wasn't as good as Synth Workshop.
Not as good as Synth Workshop.
Yeah, but this tape, I just got the other day and jammed it a few times.
It's really good.
The first side A is really low, crunchy stuff,
and side B is along the same lines,
but there's a little bit more to it.
I got side B Rewind here.
I'm going to play that.
I think both tracks are recorded.
One's recorded in Detroit,
and one's recorded in Mexico City or something like that.
Yep.
Something like that.
Yep, 2010, 2011.
What side are you doing?
Side B. Where was that recorded? Detroit in February 2010. Still going to like that. Yep. 2010, 2011. What side are you doing? Side B.
Where was that recorded?
Detroit in February 2010.
So I'm going to play that.
And here it is.

It just came out like less than a month ago.
So I'm sure you can still grab that.
It's cool.
Yeah, really good tape.
I like the artwork on it.
I like the...
It's got eyeballs on it, so...
Yeah.
Right up your eye.
It's like a shot of like the rear of a van
and there's like an eyeball on each rear window.
It kind of reminds me like a
bruce campbell type i see what you're saying thing you know uh evil daddy yeah you dudes
want to talk about some new releases that just came out just dropped i got a package in the mail
actually just today from sick sick. What does that mean?
S-I-C-S-I-C, Sick Sick.
Is that how you say that?
No, I thought you were saying Sick Six.
No, S-I-C-S-I-C.
S-I-C-S-I-C.
They're from another country.
I don't know where, though.
Is that a Pezza Magic tape on the top?
Oh, yeah.
The Voter Death Squad tape definitely looks like a Pezza Magic tape
because it looks like it'szzamagic tape.
It looks like it's got the faux vellum. The technology finally exists
to the faux vellum.
Yeah, it's just printed on the J card.
But yeah, that 6ix just dropped
a Voter Death Squad tape
and a Grasshopper
tape,
Venrain,
Nathan McLaughlin,
and how do you say that one? Isle of Sodor? uh, then rain, Nathan McLaughlin. And,
uh,
how do you say that one?
I'll,
I'll,
I'll Sodor,
which Joe,
you were saying is from town.
I don't know.
I know.
I think Thomas lives in Sodor.
I don't know.
Thomas,
the tank engine,
the tank engine.
Yeah.
Which I believe, uh,
you know,
Sodor,
I'm not sure if it's the aisle of Sodor,
but well,
we'll take it to the bottom of that.
And then rocket machine from Australia just put out an organ of Sodor, but... Well, we'll take it to the bottom of that. And then Rocket Machine from Australia just put out
an Organ of Species tape,
which is Scott Cloud's
project,
and something else. Who's Scott Cloud?
Scott Cloud, I believe Scott Cloud
does, uh...
What is it called? Or not Scott Cloud.
What does that dude's name? I think he does
Cloud Valley. No, his name's Scott Cloud.
So I don't know who Scott Cloud is. Because I was going to say he does Cloud Valley, or whatever that label's name i think he does cloud cloud valley no his name's scott cloud so i don't know who scott cloud is because i was gonna say does uh cloud valley or whatever that label is called
but i now that i say it out loud scott cloud cloud valley it's probably not the same dude
and then um another tape by uh partition function which i have in the other room but i haven't jammed
yet new tranquility batch just came out.
Yeah, that's always exciting.
Yeah, his shit always looks good.
Caroline Teagle does all the artwork for that
and always looks insanely nice.
Probably play something from Tranquility
a little bit later.
I don't know what,
but I have a grip of their tapes out there.
Probably grab something.
What else came out recently?
Sonic Meditations batch just came out like meditations batch yeah they expo 70 dude
just dropped like five tapes not sure what they are and really have them in
front of me the only one I Koi pond tape which is Eric Roper who did the artwork
for sleeps Jerusalem oh really yeah oh shit that's awesome Eric Roper, who did the artwork for Sleep's Jerusalem.
Oh, really?
Oh, shit. That's awesome.
Put out a table in Sonic Meditations?
He's in Koi Pond.
Oh, no shit. That's awesome.
I believe.
We'll have to get the fact checkers on that. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I didn't realize that that was original.
Well, I didn't realize that that was made
specifically for that album. I thought it was like, you know, it looks like something that was made specifically specifically for that album i
thought it was like you know it looks like something that was cut out of an old book or
something yeah um the jerusalem the dude on the horse oh maybe we have two different versions of
the jerusalem maybe i'm thinking of um not jerusalem dope smoker dope smoker okay yeah
dope yeah it's like the same album it's's just like two different versions. But just a different cut. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I'm thinking Dope Smoker, not Jerusalem.
Gotcha.
Dave, you remember last time you played that Spare Death Icon tape?
Yes.
And you said it was the dude who does Gift?
Yes.
And I was wondering if he had another label.
It's Draft.
Is that another label that he has?
Oh, okay.
That dude also does Draft.
He just put out a Lander 5 cassette and a Jeff Mullen cassette.
That's just dropped.
Nice.
So there's some new jams
that you can grab a bunch.
I'll probably play something from the 6-6 batch
a little bit later.
Not really sure, but I haven't listened to any of this.
But
who's got a tape they want to play?
I'm going to play
a little something here.
Recent Hooker Vision tape. Who's got a tape they want to play? I'm going to play a little something here. David Duran.
Recent Hooker Vision tape.
Project's called Lace Bows.
Lady named Joanna Francisco lives in Portugal.
I don't know if she's from Portugal, but she lives in Portugal.
She's got stuff out on Digitalis and Cubic Pyramid.
And this tape is fucking awesome, man.
I listened to it like three days in a row the other day.
It's just really, really cool.
I just got that on a trip.
Hooker Vision is a label that I've seen that name
like over and over again,
and I never paid any attention to it
because I just assumed it was going to be like
three-inch CD-Rs by like shredded semen.
Swastikas
and like vintage
porn and stuff like that.
Fetish porno.
Yeah, like fetish porno and a compilation
called Basement Fuckers.
Or something like that.
And then I saw they put out that Afterlife LP
and I was like, well that's kind of weird.
And then you see it's like, yeah, like lace bows and like rambutan.
How do you say that?
I have no idea.
I say rambutan.
There's too many noisers.
I say rambutan too, but Dave says, what do you, how do you say it?
I say it different every time I say it.
Just to play it safe?
Yeah, just play it safe.
Remember we were talking about Nova Scotian Arms the other day, Mike?
Do you remember that?
No, but I don't really listen to you when you talk to me on the phone.
But what were you saying about it?
Nova Scotian Arms is Grant Evans.
He's a dude that does Hooker Vision.
I think he does it with maybe his wife, Rachel Evans.
They've been doing stuff for a couple years. I think was the first release and yeah he's the
only thing that I have from Nova Scotian arms is a split on Tranquility with
Brian LaVelle I think I have that too I'm it's good. I'm not really sure. It's really good. Is this the lace post?
Yeah, it is.
Wow, this is really nice.
Yeah, it's really nice.
I like that.
It's like a clear tape with the gold liner.
The gold foil liner or whatever.
Wow, with black imprinting.
That looks really cool.
Yeah.
Nice thin lines on that, too.
I didn't realize you can get so thin on that screen print.
Yeah, it's 2012, dude.
We have the technology.
We figured it out.
This cover reminds me of something you would see
on like a pizza night or something like that.
You see a lot of collage work like that.
Collage with some psychedelic mushrooms.
I have a lot of catching up to do with Hooker Vision.
Because like I said,
I thought it was going to be a not safe for work and adventure
but turns out that it's like the complete opposite so that's awesome all right well
let's jam something here from dave what's the name of this tape uh it's called pollen futures
and we're going to play something off the b side and the b side is called let me see if
has a title here actually um spectral rain over pollen fields from lace bows © BF-WATCH TV 2021 Love.

This year. I don't know what time this year.
2012 Hooker Vision.
Yeah, that was really good.
I like that list.
Yeah, that's the only tape I have from that project.
You like my interpretation?
Yeah.
Trademarked. Joby, you got a double banger Yeah. Trademarked.
Trademark.
Joey B., you got a double banger there.
Double banger.
Mark McGuire, double tape.
Pocket full of rain on Pizza Night.
Absolutely no text anywhere on any of this one.
Well, it had a little insert, but I think I lost it.
Yeah.
So I don't know.
The value is going to go way down on that.
No resell on this one. I don't know if that's the going to go way down on that. No resell on this one.
I don't know if that's the A, B, C, or D.
Well, I guess we know that it's either the A or the C.
Only time will tell.
This is a Pizza Night release?
Yeah.
And you were saying that this isn't the original case for it?
No, because the original case broke,
so I found a Handel's Messiah double cassette
at Goodwill that I bought and swapped cases.
What's Handel's Messiah?
You know, it's like classical religious music.
Sounds like some cult shit.
Yeah.
With a K?
With a K.
Yeah.

Solid jam.
Yeah, definitely solid jam.
Good jamming.
Good jamming.
All right.
I got something to play here
I'm trying to decide what I want
Because I probably only have one
We probably only got one jam left apiece
And I wanted to play something off of Tranquility
I brought in some tapes by them
And I got that
DJ Ecto Cooler tape
But we already played something on Hunker Vision
So I might pass on that
What's that other, that fourth tape
The Discriminate
Music
Bonus Cassette, the North Sea
Row Any Split Cassette.
And then
I wanted to play something off the new
Six Sick Batch, maybe the Grasshopper tape.
But these are the choices
you have to make in life.
This isn't since
way to take my grandmother off of life support.
Or muffin.
Don't you dare bring up my dog.
All right, you know what?
I think I'm going to play the North Sea side
on this discriminate music.
It's discriminate, right?
It's not discriminate?
No, it's not discriminate.
How do you spell discriminate?
Discriminate is A-N-T at the end.
Okay, so it's discriminate.
I've been saying discriminate the whole time.
Me too, me too.
Excellent distro.
Dude is like super quick with the getting orders out and all that good stuff.
Ooh, that's like a champagne tint shell there, like a Pinot Noir maybe.
Yeah, it's definitely like a Christmas ornament.
It's a Merlot.
It's a Merlot?
Yeah, the tape comes in the, it's like a paper case, like a slip-in.
It's like what cassette singles used to come in.
Yeah, cassette singles used to come in these jams.
It's got some legs on it.
You're still talking about that shell over there, huh?
North Sea
is Brad Rose.
Is it just Brad Rose? Is this a solo project?
Does anybody know?
I think so. We lost all the Wi-Fi
in this room, so no one's
checking in on it. I think it's Brad
Rose.
You didn't want me to really have it or not.
Alright, right on.
Well, uh, the North Sea...
Have you listened to this yet, Mike?
No, I haven't. I actually got this and wanted to do a cold listen.
Cold listen?
Live, on air.
I feel like we need a sound effect.
Dave, if you had the time, could you punch in, like,
a TabZone exclusive?
TabZone exclusive.
Not really a TabZone exclusive at all. Oh, well, wes Out Exclusive. Tabs Out Exclusive. Not really a Tabs Out Exclusive at all.
Oh, well, we've never heard it.
So it's what?
You do know what the word exclusive means, right?
Only us?
I don't know.
That's the gist of it, right?
Yeah.
That's the gist of it.
All right. Here's the North Sea dispossessed populations
off of the Discriminant Music bonus tape split with Roe and E. Thank you. so so The so The The so Thank you. All right, that was the North Sea track off of the Discriminate music bonus cassette.
The what?
Discriminate.
Discriminate.
Discriminate.
Discriminate music, yeah.
What's that mean, bonus cassette?
Like, do you just get these when you order from them?
Do you have to order so much?
Yeah, I don't know.
I don't know.
What makes it a bonus?
Dave, we're both looking at you.
I think you guys are both on the same page.
I remember reading about it.
I think it's an exclusive track or whatever for two artists.
So if I just order one tape, do I get that too?
I don't know about that.
Maybe it's like first come, first serve until they're gone.
Okay.
I would think it's probably...
You want me to tweet him right now?
And ask him if you just order one tape
if you'll get this?
Do it.
You could do it.
What's that, like a C10 or something?
That was really short. That's a good track though yeah you know it didn't
feel like it was like um something left over or anything it was a
solid track yeah it was definitely a solid track
no that's good all right who wants to uh who's going next
am i going next you know next what do you got all right
i think we're gonna it's your time to shine.
Change the pace up a little bit.
Oh, what's that?
Got a... That's a beaut.
Look at that.
Yeah, this is a...
That's a hefty mug.
This is a four cassette set.
Came out on Digitalis.
Good transition.
I think it was 2010.
Yeah, good transition. yeah good transition segue yeah uh project called alphabets uh this
guy colin ward apparently he's like a younger guy when this came out he was like 19 or 20
uh lives out in denver and apparently he makes like a shitload of stuff
um because the altitude because he's up so high yeah it's easier for them it's easier yeah
the blood flow to the brain is different and uh plus i think medical marijuana is uh
so many factors so many people with like minor aches and pains and never yeah
eyeball headache marijuana but uh yeah apparently this dude puts out a bunch of shit
and then just releases it for free online and uh this is kind of um this set has got some new stuff
on it and it's got some reworkings of older tracks on it and then it's got like a best of
2009 let me see that box. That's a nice little,
um,
little,
I love these cases.
Yeah.
I love these cases too.
This is like the wrong with it.
This is like the smallest one of these vinyl cases I've ever seen that holds
four tapes.
Yeah.
Nice and tight.
Yeah.
I like how the,
the spine has its own spot too.
Oh yeah.
Like each panel,
like you don't just open it up and slide in
one single piece of paper.
You have to do
each one individually.
Damn this is hard
to get open.
What's the combination
for this?
I really like the purple cassette.
It's green, purple,
teal, and orange right?
Yeah.
Yeah.
It looks really good.
Imprinted with like white
that kind of like
has like the same pattern.
Is that raised? Oh no. Okay can has you know what that is possible because they can do cassettes with braille on them
so i haven't seen anyone do like a noise tape with braille on it yet but
if somebody wants to do that i think it's a good idea that would be a good idea that's a really
good idea all right which taper do you want to play here?
I think I'm going to play the first one there up top, the green tape.
It's on the B side.
This stuff here is from...
You've got to oil this every once in a while, Dave.
Yeah, I know.
Get out the WD-40.
This is from...
I think this actual tape is a project where this guy's doing a duo,
and I don't know the other person in it, but the project's called Phone Books,
and the tape's called Get Rail.
Am I going on the imprinted side or the other side?
Blank side. B side.
I'm on it.
All right. Here it is. Bingo, bingo, bingo, bingo, bingo, bingo, bingo, bingo, bingo, bingo, bingo, bingo, bingo, bingo, bingo, bingo, bingo, bingo, bingo, bingo, bingo, bingo, bingo, bingo, bingo, bingo, bingo, bingo, bingo, bingo, bingo, bingo, bingo, bingo, bingo, bingo, bingo, bingo, bingo, bingo, bingo, bingo, bingo, bingo, bingo, bingo, bingo, bingo, bingo, bingo, bingo, bingo, bingo, bingo, bingo, bingo, bingo, bingo, bingo, bingo, bingo, bingo, bingo, bingo, bingo, bingo, bingo, bingo, bingo, bingo, bingo, bingo, bingo, bingo, tinkle, tinkle, tinkle, tinkle, tinkle, tinkle, tinkle, tinkle, tinkle, tinkle, tinkle, tinkle, tinkle, tinkle, tinkle, tinkle, tinkle, tinkle, tinkle, tinkle, tinkle, tinkle, tinkle, tinkle, tinkle, tinkle, tinkle, tinkle, tinkle, tinkle, tinkle, tinkle, tinkle, tinkle, tinkle, tinkle, tinkle, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of, think of single, single, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, seek, him, seek him, seek him, seek him, seek him, seek him, seek him, seek him, seek him, seek him, seek him, seek him, seek him, seek him, seek him, seek him, seek him, seek him, seek him, seek him, seek him, seek him, seek him, seek him, seek him, seek him, seek him, seek him, seek him, seek him, seek him, seek him, seek him, seek him, seek him, seek him, seek him, seek him, seek him, seek him, seek him, seek him, seek him, seek him, seek him, seek him, seek him, seek him, seek him, seek him, seek him, seek him, seek him, seek him, seek him, seek him, seek him, seek him, seek him, seek him, seek him, seek him, seek him, seek him, seek him, seek him, seek him, seek him, seek him, seek him, seek him, seek him, seek him, seek him, seek out, seek out, seek out, seek out, seek out, seek out, seek out, seek out, seek out, seek out, seek out, seek out, seek out, seek out, seek out, seek out, seek out, seek out, seek out, seek out, seek out, seek out, seek out, seek out, seek out, seek out, seek out, seek out, seek out, seek out, seek out, seek out, seek out, seek out, seek out, seek out, seek out, seek out, seek out, seek out, seek out, seek out, seek out, seek out, seek out, seek out, seek out, seek out, seek out, seek out, seek out, seek out, seek out, seek out, seek out, seek out, seek out, seek out, seek out, seek out, seek out, seek out, seek out, seek out, seek out, seek out, seek out, seek out, seek out, seek out, seek out, seek out, seek out, seek out See ya. Thank you. Bye. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. all right so that was uh alphabets colin ward dude from denver that was awesome yeah that was Alphabets Colin Ward dude from Denver
that was awesome
yeah that was a jam
that whole
four cassette box is pretty awesome
is everything sort of along those lines
along those lines
differences between
can you still get it
I don't think so
you can't get it
I was telling Joe while we were playing that there's a podcast that I think you can still download on Digitalis that's all his stuff.
And it's stuff from that box plus some stuff from other releases.
All right.
There's something we're checking out.
Alphabets.
Alphabets.
Alphabets.
Not alphabets like the cereal?
No. Alphabets. They still make alphabets? I don't know. Wait, is alphabets withphabets Not alphabets like the cereal No Alphabets
They still make alphabets?
I don't know
Wait is alphabets with an I or an I?
I haven't bought a
Been able to buy a regular cereal in
That's not good
It's our own personal issues
I've been doing dry cereal lately
What?
Just get some Froot Loops and snack on them
It's good stuff
It's good stuff
Dry Froot Loops
Or honeycombs are all good
That's disgusting
No it's disgusting.
I like to get them nice and wet.
Joe, you got a tape you want to play?
I do.
I brought, I have three other tapes, you know.
Oh, actually, before we get into this last tape.
Oh, what do you got?
We should, well, this is probably going to be the last gem.
This is, oh, yeah, right.
So I was thinking, last time we asked people to submit themes for next episode number five.
And I think we've chosen the theme, so hopefully right now there'll be a drum roll.
Drum roll, Dave.
Put that in post.
And what is the name of the theme?
The theme that was picked is My Other Band Plays Real Music.
Yeah, so I'll say it right now, and then you just put this in after the drum roll.
My Other Band Plays Real Music.
Submitted by Joe B.
Submitted by a family member of yours, actually.
Yeah, submitted by my wife.
Insider Trading.
Definitely Insider Trading, but it was a good one.
A lot of bad themes submitted, I gotta abstract themes a lot a lot of good ones too a lot of people no there
was a good one there was some good i like the uh i like the uh the uh seven rings of uh see i didn't
like that one at first the dante's inferno yeah but then when you broke it down yeah yeah you do
it then it kind of made sense.
At first it seemed too abstract to me.
I also like C10s are shorter.
But I don't own any of those because they're stupid.
Yeah, and I only have like a couple.
Yeah, same here.
I have maybe the shortest tapes I have might be shorter than C10s.
I have like a Newton C2 we could play over and over again.
We just have to play so many tapes with that.
Yeah, we don't have enough but i like the um i like that my other band plays real music uh one i i like it because you can play a lot of shit where like the the real music is like the
main focus on what you know the person for and then they do this or it's like the person like
you know puts out like noise cassettes and it this. Or it's like the person puts out noise cassettes,
and it just so happens they're in this band
that you might not even know about.
Right, in this band or was in this band.
And I like it because it's so fucking condescending.
It's just like this, you know, my other band plays real music.
Real music.
It's like if you hear something, you're like,
oh, I think his other band plays real music, though.
Yeah.
I think it's going to be a good time.
So we'll be doing that next time episode number five nice and uh all right so joe b you want to take us out yeah i
had three and i'm trying to pick between the one so what i'm gonna do flipping the script i'm playing
the dj active cooler tape oh yeah because you did want to hear that i want to hear it and i don't
want to play any you're just gonna reach right into my pile, huh? Yep.
And another Hooker Vision tape.
Another Hooker Vision tape.
I really wanted to hear this tape. Did anyone just notice?
Whoa, whoa, whoa.
Don't mix those up.
Those are the same shells there.
Just took one green shell out in exchange for another one.
See, it's all connected tonight.
Ooh.
Did anybody take mushrooms?
I feel like I took mushrooms.
I don't know if I ever.
First of all, the freedom of being able to hold both of these tapes and speaking to the microphone
I can't say is like a whole
new level.
Thank you people for giving us money for mic stands
because it's...
We're on a whole other level here.
It's like when Free Willy jumped over the kid.
Like I imagine
in the first edit he was holding two cassettes.
Because this feels real good.
While talking into a microphone?
Yeah, while doing that.
With a pop card on it.
All right, so you're going to play the DJ Ector Cooler tape.
Now, it's a long one.
Well, we don't have to.
What we're going to do, I'm going to press fast forward right now.
And then just let that go for a little bit.
And then we'll break in right in the middle somewhere. That's fine. I'm going to open this case right now and then just let that go for a little bit, and then we'll break in right in the middle somewhere.
That's fine.
I'm going to open this case up.
I'll edit that out.
DJ Ecto Cooler.
What's this tape called?
Dave, you were just saying the title of this tape.
What is it again?
Late Night Grinding on Sewer Pizza.
Late Night Grinding on Sewer Pizza.
Cross-references there. it's a um yeah you were cross references there after we were uh after uh the last time we were
together doing this you were talking about dj active cooler and i had never heard the name
before and then i did a trade with uh the evans is who run uh hooker vision and didn't even know
i don't even think i knew i was getting this tape but I was pretty stoked when I got it
and jammed a good chunk of it
and it's pretty awesome
I think this dude also does a project
called Water Lily Jaguar
I've heard that name before
apparently he goes by Max Chill
wait a minute
you're telling me someone
who goes by DJ Ecto Cooler
also goes by Max Chill?
I find that hard to believe.
Max Chill is not his real name.
Well, he used to be Max Chillberg.
But if you want to make it in this town.
Shorten it for the films.
For the pictures.
Yeah.
All right.
Well, let's go out here.
DJ After Cooler.
