I'm going to play this JD Emanuel tape that just came out recently on Sonic Meditations. It's a live concert from 82. Check that out. It's a pretty good jam. Took a little backup at the plant. That's a year. Getting that one out, yeah.

What is this this i can't really read with it oh lighten up sounds is the name of the uh the label um but yeah it's pretty solid tape i like the pictures on the inside they're pretty good it's so annoying because like i got like four copies of this because i got some for likero 2. And then they were downstairs and the kid gets into them.

All of a sudden there's fucking little pieces of paper all over the ground. It's kind of annoying, but whatever. I like the topless dude with the gold chain jamming the reverb coil. Like a guitar, but right where his dick is. There's something to like in every photo the cover art is also pretty are they all the same like the other ones that you got for the distro

Joby, keep in mind that people aren't here listening to you, so you still have to talk into the microphone.

That shit's crazy. Where do you get a tape like that? That's what I was trying to figure out. I don't know if they did that custom or it was just like some random tapes that said Eagle on them. With like, you know, an eagle. Because, I mean, it's Hard Heart Julia. The name of the tape is dreams of ways of killing her.

And then it just says Eagle on the real, which isn't really like a, they somehow came upon those tapes. So yeah, it was like the ones that you got that had, um, what was the imprinting on it? Oh,

like on the top of the tape, they said, uh, Jesus is Lord. Jesus is Lord. Yeah. And I think this, that,

that actual, but these tapes, like, it's not just the imprinting it's like yeah it's a whole yeah yeah

those are crazy but I think that version of this tape there's only 10 of them so okay so they found 10 of those tapes

yeah they found a few of those and wanted to use them now I'm thinking about it this is a C15 and that I'm looking at the amount of tape on there

and it's way more yeah it's way more than C15 that's still pretty cool like where yeah i just said whoever's you know anybody out there that's making tapes this is uh this is a gold mine like manufacturers listening to them yeah national audio company is listening yeah make them like this they got their finger on the pulse oh yeah they know what's going on they got it all figured out then underground tape label scene and baptist churches they know all what's going on yeah there's only people who buy tapes right now there was a baptist church around here that i was delivering something for work one time and i asked

them like i was like this might be a weird question but do you guys use like tape duplicate the tape duplicators and like have like blank tapes around and then the lady was like oh like doing like she showed me this closet that was just full of boxes of blank tapes I think you had a room with uh four separate one to three machines that were all like like you know didn't you give me your number yeah and she was like we're not going to be using them for much longer because we're moving over to cds and i was like you know i want to pick this stuff up from you and then you know i never called and i haven't like been back there or anything so like how does the the baptist work when you so you go to mass is it mass it's um you know, like... Service. Service. You go to service.

They record the service. They record it. And then you go to the next one, and you can get a tape of last week's service? And it's like, oh, man, have you heard June 5th, 2001? The reverb is so fucking nice. No, I think it's for, like, old people who can't get out of their house. So that they can hear the Mass. Yeah, they get the tape, and they hear it.

Yeah. Okay. That makes sense. Are there some hardcore collectors of services? I bet you there's people. There's probably a blog of that, just rips of rare sermon things. People who follow Reverend Jimmy, whatever. I bet you there's people who collect weird tapes of everything,

and they're like, I got a huge catalog of like neighbors having sex and like you know here's one of like baptist churches from the you know the midwest and like stuff like that but uh i'm sure yeah i'm sure there's definitely people around like that of course i'm i you know they're probably not making these tapes anymore because a they probably moved on to cdrs sure or b who the fuck is like everyone who wanted them is dead now so there's always new old people yeah but the new there's always new old people but those new old people like you know they're not like the old

ones they're they don't make them like they used to. They used to be built for tough. All right. Well, like I said, Land of Decay sent like five or six tapes in. I've been listening to a few of them. This one is Andre Foisy, After the Prophecy. I've been taking a liking to. It's a pretty solid tape. I like the little name, logo type thing. Yeah, it's like a clear golden yellowish tape with a white imprint of an A and an F

and a pretty cool style. I have to say, there's a lot of tapes with nature shots on them, but I kind of feel like it always, it just always works. Like, you know, like a high-res photo of some, you know, some sticks and leaves, you know. Some trees and sky. Yeah, it's just, it always works for me. If you can't get out of the house, it's a really nice way to feel like you did something that day. And I really like, I like how the spine is like, you know,

it's got like a transparent gray bar over the image. Like when you fold it out all the way. Yeah, you can still see the image. Yeah, that's nice. It's nice. It's like a belly band. The only thing, I don't want to go on in Google Image Trees and have that pop up.

If that pops up on the first page. I'm going to be very upset. Dave, does it stand in there first like first page i'm gonna be very upset dave does the same in there and anywhere like photographs by um nope all right but this is solid this is a nice nice fake card yeah stock it's a pretty good tape there's a lot going on with it uh i'm gonna play it's about a couple minutes into the B-side.
