Tabs out.
Good evening.
Tabs out. Episode number eight. Tab's out.
Episode number eight.
Number eight already.
Holy shit, man.
Whoa.
We're almost to an arbitrary round number that everybody's going to lose their shit over.
Well, a lot of people lose their shit.
Number ten.
Like, number nine is, like, somehow less significant.
Number nine is totally meaningless.
Have a, uh... If anyone noticed knows that laughter was not joe b it's because we have a uh there's a scab in the studio tonight
john pile hey guys you may you may have uh we've mentioned john pile once or twice right
yeah you played one of my projects and then made fun of my haircut.
Okay, yeah.
And having you in person, that stands.
Joe B. is currently in New Mexico.
On vacation.
Soaking in the rays.
On Tabs Out Dollar.
He filed for some vacation days.
How come he missed two podcasts and he has benefits and I don't?
I don't know.
I don't know how that works. I don know man take it up with uh hr uh john pile if you uh think
you're a permanent replacement for joe b you better think again my friend because you're not
oh i know you can't cast half the pods that man can
i i have i have no doubts I have no doubts about that.
You can cast a pod.
Before we get into this first tape,
I want to say,
last night I was buying some stuff,
buying some tapes online.
And do you remember,
who was it?
What are they called?
Run DMT.
We were talking about it last time.
Yeah, yeah.
On some label called CGI Fridays.
I looked that up.
I found the tape.
And I went to buy the tape, and it cost $420.
And then after shipping, it cost $666.
So I feel like CGI Fridays is my new.
I haven't had a chance to dive into it yet.
But I feel like that's my favorite current label right now.
That's pretty awesome.
Yeah, it's pretty incredible.
So hopefully that Run DMT. I don't know what run dmt sounds like whatsoever and like to be honest i i
don't really care that's just kind of an amazing name anybody else buying any new tapes recently
um pick up any new jams i got some somewhat new stuff that we haven't gotten to yet but
you jump out you've been shopping.
Yeah, yeah.
I'm still waiting on a bunch of stuff.
Most recent batch from Posh Isolation.
Danish label.
I really like a lot.
And then there's some really limited,
shockingly, some really limited stuff from Hospital that I bought.
What's the name of his new label?
Did we figure that out last time?
Oh, Bed of Nails.
Bed of Nails?
Yeah, it's more focused on,
it's kind of more, I think,
like techno, electronic.
Okay, right on, yeah.
It's all going that way, man.
Well, I'm sure it'll still be like
naked fetish techno.
Oh, yeah.
You know.
All right, well, let's get into the first jam.
I got a tape here
by a project called noise
altar which is done by this guy kevin who i'm not i'm not sure where he lives now i saw on internet
that he is from delaware and lives somewhere else now he sent this tape in and i'm not really sure
it's like it's kind of like handmade and like you know i'm not you know it's like the name is
written on the spine like really nicely it's like what is that calligraphy what is that called
i think that's calligraphy yeah yeah i'm so i'm not sure if this is like a one-off thing or if
you made a bunch of them but he sent me this tape it's really good so i think we're gonna play i
think i gotta queue up here on the b-side somewhere play a little bit off the b-side
and what's the name of it?
Did you say the name of it?
I don't think the tape has a name.
Noise Alter is the project.
Okay.
But I don't think the tape has a name.
Subtitle?
Yeah, something.
Let's go with that.
All right, so here's something from Noise Alter. Exit 159, I'm going to go ahead and get a little bit of a look at the so so so I'm going to go ahead and get back to the road. so Thank you. so All right.
All right.
Little piece from the noise alter tape.
That was really good.
Yeah, man.
The whole thing's pretty good.
It's, you know, I'm not sure.
It's recorded on, like, you know, a max out, like, 110-minute tape or whatever.
And it takes up, like, a little bit of each side.
But, no, it's good.
I'm sure the dude will eventually release something proper which would be nice
i'm bored to it yeah man so jp here's how you did like we're gonna you're gonna i'm gonna ask you to
play cassette okay okay did you bring any oh yeah i brought okay okay okay just checking okay good
i didn't know first timer or else most dangerous fighter all right you can't what do you got bring it up all right so stay on task this first tape i
got is poured out starboard home which is the uh it's a comp from posh isolation which i mentioned
earlier it's a danish label that i really like and uh let me give him a couple things this comp
is themed around uh human trafficking in scandinavia apparently apparently. Now, is it pro or anti?
Anti.
Okay, just checking.
Oh, my God.
Well, you never know.
You know, I knew coming in here.
Easy, pile.
Easy.
I don't have any compressors, pile.
Simmer down, pile.
Simmer down.
Okay, because right away I'm looking at a dick inside here.
Is it a boner?
Well, there's some stars, too.
I wouldn't call it a boner.
It looks like it's almost there. You know., there's some stars, too. I wouldn't call it a boner. It looks like it's almost there.
You know. But there's some stars, too.
To look at.
What do we got? Okay, so who's all
on this comp? How do I find
the track list? Oh, it's right there. It's right on
that thing.
For the insert, I want it to be
a boner and stars.
Yeah, because I'm seeing, like,
Alley Pisser and Snatcher and Body League,
and I'm thinking this is a pro-human trafficking company.
No, it's not.
This is like, you know, to find out more out of human traffic,
go to www.snatchthatbody.net.
They're trying to, you know, they're trying to dilute all of those nasty terms.
They're trying to get someone who's into body snatching,
who's into human trafficking, and they're like,
oh, yeah, man, I dig human trafficking.
Somebody like John Pyle.
And they would buy this, and then all of a sudden inside it's like,
oh, you know, maybe I've been leading a life that's on the wrong track.
Okay, well, what are you going to play here?
This one.
That's the first one. Number one. Yeah. They got some to play here? This one. That's the first one.
Number one.
Yeah.
You got some white shells here with white labels.
There's one star.
I'm guessing that's side A.
Or tape one, because the other one has two stars on it.
All right, so you got to cue it up to something here.
Yeah.
Nice.
What are we playing?
What art is we playing?
This is the opening track, and I guess the next one.
The first track is, I can't really pronounce that. It's Veidt Shell. You're going to fit right in. This is the opening track and I guess the next one. The first track is, I can't really pronounce
that, it's Videshell.
You're going to fit right in.
Further from heaven.
Dying to know what that fucking translates to.
The second track is Olympia Tarring Rope.
None of this seems...
Okay, let's get into it.
None of this seems on the up and up.
Here it is.
John Pyle's human pro human trafficking comp Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. © BF-WATCH TV 2021 Thank you. so Thank you. The Thank you. The Let's go, let's go, let's go! so
so so I'm going to go to the right.
Are we back in?
We're back in.
All right.
So that was from the first tape of the 2C60 comp
poured out Starboard Home from Posh Isolation.
Nice.
It's in print, but you might be able to get it somewhere.
Maybe. Probably in like some weird sex dungeon. from posh isolation print but you might be able to get it somewhere maybe probably
in like a like some weird sex
dungeon
copies basement a zipper
head
weird ones like all covered in like some substance
you don't want to touch all right
I just want to clean my palate from that move on Dave you
have anything that's like
yeah we'll change gears a little bit I got this
tape from my
tape from anathema Sound.
I think it was from like 2010 or 2011.
It's a collaboration between Sean McCann
and this dude, Greg Minotta.
And I looked that dude up,
but I think he's only done collabs with Sean McCann.
Those dudes have been recording for like years, apparently. But there's only two releases and they're both on uh anathema maybe he's like
what are those like um when you're born with like a twin attached to you but it like
it died in like the womb what is that called maybe that's greg and he just kind of hands there
sean like put some sort of like uh you know, just presses a keyboard against his face.
Yeah.
If that was a project,
that shit would be the best.
Let me see this tape because I was looking at a little bit downstairs and I
noticed the covers cut quite small.
Yeah,
it's kind of small,
but I mean,
it's,
you know,
let me see that.
Oh,
you got a good trade copy.
That's a good,
what would you say?
That's a good quarter inch.
Good quarter inch there. Yeah. That's getting closer to half. You think that's good? That's a good quarter inch That's a good quarter inch there
Yeah
That's getting closer to half
You think that's good?
It's about a quarter
I think
I think it's more than a quarter
You think so?
I always like the
Artwork on this label though
Yeah I do like the artwork
On that label
The dude Matt
Jacob
Oh we played something
From this
On like the second or third
Yeah yeah yeah
Yeah
Which is
Now that I'm thinking I said that I didn't like the artwork on that one.
I think I'm thinking of another label then.
This looks good.
This looks really good.
Well, I think the other tape was like kind of pixelated or something.
And you know what I really like about this?
And this is like a little detail that a lot of people, they don't go that extra mile.
How there's a label on both sides of the tape.
A lot of people, you're just getting the A-side label. This guy went the extra mile he spent the extra what the pennies it cost but it really
stretches and i never looked is that uh is that can you tell if that's just like the cover like
pasted on those or is that it's like the cover art printed onto the label yeah but it looks really
fucking good yeah yeah um i've been listening to a lot of sean mccann stuff lately that dude like really
turns it out doesn't yeah he does and it's all really good yeah i guess that's what it's i wonder
what it's like to have talent yeah you know to like be able to like sit down and record something
and it sounds good well you know it can be it can be really stressful it's a blessing and a curse
uh did you put that on the B side
because that's what I wanted to play
so yeah the B side
yeah
so this is a collab you said
it's not a split it's a collab
yeah it's a collab
recorded 2009
yeah it came out in 2010
it's a C32 called Ornaments
I'm sure it's long gone by now but Yeah, it came out in 2010. It's a C32 called Ornaments.
I'm sure it's long gone by now, but we'll give you a little taste.
If you missed it, here it is.
Joe B. would have really busted up on that one.
We just got a phone call from Joe B.
Did he have anything to say?
Was he reporting in?
He said he's on the scene. Live on the scene?
He's at some weird
retirement resort in New Mexico
at Elephant Butt.
Elephant Butt?
It's called Elephant Butt.
How do you say B-U-T-T-E?
Butte. I think it's Butte.
Yeah, but Elephant Butt.
Did he spell it to you over the phone?
No. I saw it on Facebook
the other day.
Here's some
material from Sean McCann and his
conjoined dead twin
that hangs off the side of his face.
What do you do if he hears this?
No one listens to this. © BF-WATCH TV 2021 The The The The The © BF-WATCH TV 2021 The The © BF-WATCH TV 2021 The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The

The The The The The I'm going to read a few verses from the Bible. Thank you. All right.
All right, Sean McCann, Greg Minotta.
Two smooth jams.
Indeed.
Had to cleanse our palate after.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Oh, my God.
That's more like consensual music.
You guys are so...
Just busting your chops.
God, I feel like you've never seen a penis before.
That was...
I never have.
I haven't.
That's why we invited you here tonight, John.
All right.
I wanted to...
Dave, I think it's on the bed behind you.
I thought I had it right here.
But grab me that Discriminate bonus tape.
That's the new one, right?
Yeah.
This is a good one, too.
Yeah, I was really excited about this one.
Discriminate Music just put out another one of their bonus tapes.
Quick Sales and Head Boggle.
I like the color of that tape.
Yeah, nice clear.
Here's the other one right here, John.
If you want to take a look at it.
That was the second one.
I just love when people use that yellow color.
Yeah, that clear yellow tint. Yeah, that like clear yellow tint.
Yeah, it looks good.
I think, who do we play?
Do we play Headbog?
I had two NNA tapes last time around,
and I played one of them.
It was either Quick Sales or Headboggle.
I can't remember which one.
You played Headboggle last time.
Headboggle, okay.
So we'll play the Quick Sales side off of this.
Another C10, so it's a quick five-minute track.
Quick Sales is Ben Billington from Tiger Hatchery's solo project. quick sales side off of this another c10 so it's a quick five minute track uh quick sales is ben
billington from tiger hatchery solo project uh i believe these tapes are already gone so they'll
probably be a fourth one from discriminate coming coming soon uh i've been really into these though
just busting out a little they're nice little yeah're a nice little short thing. And I didn't like at first the fact that the covers are all completely identical.
I wasn't that into.
But now that I have like, you know, when I had two, I was against it.
But now that I have three, I'm starting to like it more.
And I'm feeling like if I get four, fingers crossed,
that I'm really going to like it more and I'm feeling like if I get four fingers fingers crossed that I'm really gonna like dig it a lot so uh and if we haven't mentioned before you should
probably order a shitload of stuff from discriminate because pal do you order stuff
from discrim yeah okay because they're fast as shit yeah so okay let's play uh quick sales
I guess there's two tracks on here wow kind, kind of... What is this? Two two-and-a-half-minute tracks? Millington just, like...
I bet the power went out, like, right away, twice.
Two tracks, open a long edge,
and let the red be
on the Discriminate Music bonus tape,
numero three.
Without Joe B.
Without Joe B. I'm not sure. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I'm not sure if I can do it. The All right.
Two quick, quick sales tracks.
You see what I did there?
Okay.
From the Discrimin music uh bonus tape number
three pile what do you got all right i got uh a tape called infant from cremation lily i i think
it's a duo but i'm not sure i think it might I also think it might just be one guy based on the credits. I'm not sure. But,
uh,
this is just the side.
Hey,
let me take a look.
The infant tape.
It's on strange rules who are an English label that,
uh,
I really like.
They're kind of on the up and up lately and they've been putting out some, some real good stuff.
So definitely check them out.
If you feel so inclined,
let me see that.
Uh,
it says sounds and layout.
Z-Z-Go.
So I guess it's just one person, right?
Yeah, I think I saw pictures of them.
I thought it was two dudes, but I don't know.
It could be another associated project.
God, a side piece called Virgin Harvest?
Come on, John.
You saw a picture of the people,
and you couldn't tell if it was one or two people?
No.
He didn't have his glasses on.
It was like, here's a picture of cremation, Lily. And it was two guys. But then according to this, it's one person. So maybe it was one person. It became two people? Well, no. The picture that didn't have his glasses on. It was like, here's a picture of Cremation Lily,
and it was two guys,
but then according to this,
it's one person,
so maybe it was one person
that became two people.
I don't know.
Or he was just
cheesing with some dude
that wasn't involved.
Maybe he could have
been hanging out.
He was what dude?
They're from across the pond.
I don't really know
how the sense of humor
over there works.
He was an ocean.
He was cheesing.
Cheesing.
A picture. Cheesing. A picture.
Cheesing. Smiling in the picture.
Never heard that before?
I don't know what's going on here.
Let's just play the tape.
I like this.
I like this.
I always dig the all clear prison
tapes with
minimal labels onto it is there something
interesting about these like uh spools here what's going on there oh i like that i like that too it's
a little little dab it's like they got a little yeah it looks like a little gear it looks a little
gear in there yeah spokes yeah it looks nice this looks really good you know it's like it's all
black and white and it's like it's all black and white and
it's like it's probably like photocopied yeah but i can't the presentation is i've been nice i've
been buying like whenever this label does a run i've just been buying everything from it i haven't
really been disappointed it kind of runs the gamut of different sounds from kind of some more
mellow synthy stuff to then some real harsh kind of bangers.
Nice.
Let me get that, Dave.
I'll pop her in.
Sorry, I got real into it for a second there.
I lost.
So here, this is a short.
Is there any tape in there at all?
That's a short guy.
This is a C.5.
Oh, my gosh.
No, it's good.
It'll be good.
Just play it. Okay, I'll'll be good. Just play it.
Okay, I'll just play it.
Just do it.
Put it in the right...
Well, I think you put it in backwards.
How can you tell?
That's the side the tape's on.
You just put...
Yeah, that...
Where is the tape?
It's there.
It's there.
If this is all leader...
All right.
Here's something from Cremation Lily. I'm going to go ahead and get out of here. The The The I'm going to go ahead and get back to the car. Thank you. I'm going to go ahead and get out of the way. I'm not going back for a long time.
I'm not going back for a long time.
I'm not going back for a long time.
I'm not going back for a long time.
I'm not going back for a long time. I'm not going to die. All right.
That was cremationally side A called All Smiles off of the infant cassette on Strange Rules.
That was really good.
Yeah. Like I said, I love that that label i've been buying everything they do i haven't been disappointed yet um but yeah super
good stuff and it runs kind of the gamut of of noise so i like that this uh norelco case doesn't
have the little spikes that go through the spools. Yeah, yeah. I love...
It's...
You know, I think the company...
I found the company
I think they order their cases from
and all of the...
Like, some of the stuff they have,
like the cases,
are just kind of very subtly different
from what you can get over here
and it's really cool.
I'm thinking about ordering them.
Like, they have the double cases
like on this posh
isolation tape where it's don't bring that back oh you don't want to talk about that sorry i didn't
mean to too soon i didn't mean to bring it up you're a fan of the of the poly cases you see
how like that little difference is like it makes it like the distraction is so much you know what
i mean you're distracted by those little spikes in there but i can't stop staring at them yeah they're like it's like it's like it's looking you in the eyes isn't it like
why do you even need those there anyway it's not going anywhere like there was a time when those
would fly everywhere like i just want to clarify i'm not i feel like i'm not a huge fan of holly
case i just bought a big box of them because they were super, super cheap.
And that's why.
I like how John's more defensive
about the Polycase thing
than the human trafficking thing.
That he's like, I'll take your leave.
Polycase, that's serious business.
You really don't like Polycases.
I despise them.
There's only one good thing about Polycases
and that's they don't break in the mail.
I'll break it.
Give me a Polycase right now. I'll break it. In the mail. In the mail they don and that's they don't break in the mail. Oh, I'll break it. Give me a poly case right now.
I'll break it.
In the mail.
In the mail, they don't break.
I'll break one in the mail.
All right, Dave, what do you got?
I think I'm going to do this Pork Lion tape, which is Jesse DeRosa Bakepe, and Grasshopper Dude.
It's a really good tape.
It's called Bahone.
Doesn't this come with a tiny little business card CD-R inside?
Yeah, it's got a side C, which is a business card CD-R.
It's a little treat.
Yeah, it's a little treat.
That's crazy.
What's going on there? Is that supposed to look like that, or did you get it wet? I think it's a little treat. Yeah. You open up the little... That's crazy. What's going on there?
Is that supposed to look like that, or did you get it wet?
I think it's supposed to look like that.
Have you ever listened to the CD-R?
Be honest.
I have once, but I can't remember what it was.
No, you haven't.
No, I've listened to it.
I can only listen to it on my computer.
I do like the name Pork Lion.
Yeah.
I like Pork Lion, and he's got another tape called Contact High, which has got my favorite
track titles of all time. The A side is called Buckets with Smaller Buckets Inside of Them.
And then the B side is Smaller Buckets Inside of Bigger Buckets.
I think you texted me both of those track titles one time.
I never knew what that was, but I guess that's it.
That's pretty good.
That's really funny.
Especially if you know Jesse.
It just fits his
personality like super it seems like side a uh track one on this is called buck slap
which sounds like they were toured with like uh like buck cherry or something like that
is that a band yeah buck cherry okay yeah that song about being on a plane high on cocaine
or something like that oh yeah something like yeah god what a that song about being on a plane high on cocaine or something like that. Oh, yeah.
Something like that.
Yeah, God, what a fucking annoying band.
This is on big tapes, right?
Yeah.
Do you know enough about Buck Cherry that they annoy you?
Yeah, unfortunately.
Another short one, a C7?
Yeah.
Wow.
This is all just like, this wasn't planned either.
We just got a bunch of short tapes tonight.
How could we ever have planned this?
Alright, well let's play
three and a half minutes.
You want to play the whole tape or you want to play...
Let's just do the...
We still got plenty of stuff that we can burn through tonight.
Okay, sorry Jesse. I wanted to play the whole tape,
but Dave insists that we only play A-side.
No, no, no. You already said your word.
Let's do the whole thing.
I want to do the whole thing.
I don't want to anymore.
I want to do it.
I don't want to anymore.
Well, you know what?
Let's jump out.
What are you?
You know what?
No, I'm not leaving to jump out.
What are you talking about?
Whoa, whoa, whoa.
What are you trying to say about my judgment here?
Here's what we're going to do.
I'm going to flip the tape.
Okay.
If it lands, cover up.
We'll play the whole thing.
If it lands, cover down. We'll just the whole thing. If it lands, cover down.
We'll just play the one side.
Okay.
Okay.
Dave's like, okay, if you want to do that.
It's on this side.
What did I say that was?
We play the whole thing on that side.
Here's the whole tape.
The whole Pork Lion.
What's that say?
Dijon?
That's what I thought it was.
The first two. Here's the Pork Lion Dijon? That's what I thought it was. Here's the pork lion Dijon mustard C7. Thank you. Thank you. © BF-WATCH TV 2021 Thank you. so so
ah Well, operator, who are you looking for?
Hello?
Yes, sir?
Can you call 678-398-66?
Are you married, sir?
Yes. Great. Is there? He made it? Yes.
Thanks.
You know Vicky?
Yes. He's gonna bump you off yet. He's gotta come, you know. If he didn't get you in Laurel Canyon, he won't get you here.
Hello. Vicky? What's happening here? Listen.
Your father called me up this now. Look, just don't panic, but just tell me.
I'm not panicking.
Okay. I think my phone's tapped too well don't worry that's quite alright alright
Your father called me up this I just said so
so Thank you. so so
so I'm not sure if you can hear me. Thank you. Pork lion.
Bake tapes.
John Pyle, save that kind of stuff for afterwards.
What are you doing here?
It's very unprofessional.
I'm sorry, guys.
I've got a lot of complaints about you already.
I'm new to this business.
People are blowing up the Twitter account right now.
We should probably say,
if you like John Pyle, text
if you like, if you want Joe to be back,
text B. Dave, you want to give yourself
a number they can text to?
Text B to Dave. If you like John Pyle,
text something like a swastika. Oh. How would you just tell him to text B to Dave if you like John Pyle like text something like a swastika it was a gag all right it was a bit all right now I enjoyed that that
was that was I like the cell phone thing on the beginning of the yeah that was
awesome yeah it's different from uh
you know the stuff that i normally hear from jesse from you know like shingles because he's
like a musician yeah yeah but that was still you know it was focused it was thursday night
leftover sometime i believe that was jesse and josh's They put anything on the set?
I'm sure they're on a couple of their Ex-girlfriends mixtapes
We could try to get a hold of them
That would be good
We should have an entire show of
Ex-girlfriend mixtapes
That would be a good theme
A lot of Buck Cherry
I got something here I want to play this has been sitting there i think i
brought this in on like the first night of doing this podcast and it's been sitting here every time
it's like i'm gonna play something from this this is a uh a double cassette box set it comes in one
of those vinyl cases on uh breath mint records it's called fall from the Sky and Sink into the Fucking Ocean. Breath Mint, number 216.
It's Newton, who is mad, who does the label.
Sweet Nothing, which is, I think that's Jared.
This dude, Jared, from Louisville, Philadelphia.
2673, which is Kevin Winter's project from New Jersey.
And then Sanguine Vessel and 2673, which is Kevin Winter's project from New Jersey.
And then Sanguine Vessel and 2673, which is all three of those dudes together.
And I'm going to play the 2673 track.
I think it's a 2673 track.
Nothing's really labeled here.
And, you know, I just grabbed this one tape and rewound it.
That's awesome. He killed it at the last Funnel Friday.
Yeah, he just played Delaware not long ago, and it was pretty sick.
But he's been putting out stuff for a while, and it's consistently good.
Yeah, for a good seven or eight years, right?
Because he had a split with Cherry Point.
Yeah, I think he did a tour with Cherry Point, I don't know, 2001 or something like that.
Oh, that long ago.
Okay.
I just said that.
Okay.
It could have been another year as well.
It could have been any year.
It could have been 2001 or some other year.
But I assume this is the 2673 track.
If it's not, then it's one of the other tracks that I just said.
It's weird because the eight okay i gotta you know you might as well just play anything at this point i got a
bone to pick here with uh newton you have the label on the other side because the screw side
doesn't have a label on it so this who knows what this? Maybe I shouldn't play this at all.
What do you think?
You were really picky about the screw side
on the Oaken Tower tape
that I did because I put everything on the B side.
I'm so glad you brought that up.
Was that intentional? Why did you do that?
That was intentional, yeah.
I'm sorry.
That project's a little too obscure.
I don't want to talk about it.
That project is not me.
It's a friend of mine who lives in another country.
He's a very serious person and an occultist.
I admire him greatly, and he's a really stand-up guy.
Everyone loves him, but he's very sinister and evil.
Yeah, that project has nothing to do with me john paul where are you going with this
he's just saying it doesn't have anything to do with him it doesn't do with me that guy's
obscure mysterious uh you are being john malkovich over there
all right well let's play a mystery track from this Breath Mint box set,
Fall from the Sky and Sink into the Fucking Ocean. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I'm sorry. Thank you. I'm sorry. so I'm sorry. so I'm going to go ahead and get out of here. Thank you. so I'm not sure if I can do this. I'm going to go ahead and get the car. I'm sorry. The I'm sorry. Thank you. Thank you. so
uh Thank you. I'm sorry. Thank you. Exit 159, Thank you. All right.
Right on.
That was 2673
With the
Imagine a Cloud here
Is the name of the track
That's a good title
I'm hoping that was the 2673
I think it was
It definitely sounded like 2673
It was good
I like how
The bandaid
Label things are inside here,
like holding in a little paper insert.
Yeah.
It looks like something is on a refrigerator or something.
I just want to pick it off so bad.
I love these cases, these vinyl cases.
Yeah, I was going to say,
that's probably my favorite packaging.
I feel like I have three or four Breath Mint releases
that are all in these kind of cases.
A lot of A5
releases. I think it's A5 size.
What, the paper size?
That's like an A5 size case.
Isn't it?
You're playing some inside baseball now.
That's what they call that.
I don't know how many A's that is.
Like when you start talking about the inner workings
of something.
I'm new to this talking shop i'm new to this talking shop yeah using jargon i'm new to this whole podcasting thing i'm really sorry to everyone out there in radio land for
that one radio all right all right what do you got are we on the fms i'm uh i'm really excited
about this one um you know what i saw the other day I was watching a clip of
He does it all the time
I was watching a clip of Double Dare
First of all did you know there was a show called Super Sloppy Double Dare
Yeah
I never knew that
I thought that was just like a workaholic's joke
I was watching a clip of Double Dare
And one of the prizes was a skateboard
That had an AM FM radio on it
So like the speaker was on the top That's incredible I really want to try to find one of the prizes was a skateboard that had an AM FM radio on it.
So like the speaker was on the top.
And like, I really want to try to find one of those. You know, it'd be cool if like, you know, that, that, um,
record the Rita did where he just like had the skateboard and he contact Mike,
the, uh, the rail and he like grinded it.
And I think he should just have the skateboard that has the AM FM radio and
like somehow like ride it around while you're
like holding your gear.
That'd be pretty cool. Alright, Pyle, what do you got?
Alright, so I'm really excited.
You know what else I saw was an episode of Pete and I.
I'll just say Pete and Pete though.
So I got here.
This is Jason
Krumer's Walk With Me
live recording.
Seek the Plumber.
These only... I hate you guys. Go on, you're fine. Krumer's Walk With Me live recording. Seek the Plumber. He's only a...
I hate you guys so much.
Go on, you're fine.
You're all right.
Stay focused.
This is Jason Krumer's Walk With Me live.
There's only six copies of this, apparently, in the world.
And you got one.
Yeah, it's on his no-rent imprint.
I have one.
How much did you pay for that?
Because if you paid too much for it,
it would only kick you out of this house.
No, I didn't pay that much.
I think I paid like... for it, it would kick you out of this house. No, I didn't pay that much. I think I paid like $%&% for it.
Are you being serious?
Yeah, what's wrong with that?
And you don't think that's too much?
No, I mean, Jason Kramer is one of my favorite artists around.
I $%&% stuff a lot.
Dude, it's copy number two of six.
It's very rare. All all right let me look at it
i'm glad he sprung for this poly case for your isn't it what is no isn't that a nice poly case
is that really neat i knew you're i knew you'd like it i knew you'd like it this is like when
you this is like if you run in a movie from the library like yeah years ago, and they shrunk it down. It's got a nice texture on it.
Dave, get your huge paws back.
And it's got all this.
Oh, what is this?
This is nice.
Don't get fingerprints all over it.
It's very rare.
Discogs.
This is like a nice.
It's calling if daddy ever needs money.
This is like a nice.
The paper is like photo paper.
It's a real photograph, isn't it?
And on the inside is like. He's got like some, what is that?
Some, what do you call that?
Some, what is it when you take the newspaper and the water and you do the whole.
Paper mache.
Paper, like a paper mache.
Papier mache.
Papier mache.
This is actually really nice.
It's not.
What's going on with this tape?
Wait, John Powell, did you really pay **** for this?
Yeah.
I like how it just says upside down on the tape, carved into it.
It says Krumer 2008 with a razor blade or something like that.
I just want to say, Jason Krumer, I don't know you, but you don't get to charge $$$ for this I didn't buy it from him
it was a Discogs purchase
oh okay so that wasn't the original price
no no hell no
that clears up a lot
there's six copies and it's been out of print for like
for several years
because this definitely took like
50 cents to make let me ask you a question
is the 206 on the case
yes it's on the case oh i don't
like that one bit john pie let me tell you what happened here someone just made this and you bought
it from them okay you know what i'm gonna make another one right now i'm gonna write i'm gonna
write one of seven on it it's gonna be really confusing for everyone involved now i'm not gonna
give you too much shit you're employed so you probably have the money to spend.
We were looking for a Jason Krumer tape when we did our
My Other Band Plays Real Music episode.
Because he's in,
or was in...
Face Down and Shit.
Yeah, Face Down and Shit.
That's part of how I got into noise in general.
I like he has that project.
I'm not sure if it's a
solo project or if it's a a duo or whatever but it's um now in darkness yeah that's him i forget
who that's with it's a duo okay i've that that's another thing i've i've overpaid there was there
was a cdr they did that i paid like some dude like don't don't don't even tell me i'm gonna
have to censor that out.
Bleep that out, Dave.
Wait, do you have bleep technology?
Yeah, I do have bleep technology.
What?
That's amazing.
What length tape are we talking about here?
I don't know.
It's not short or anything like that.
All right, well, let's jam some of this Jason Krumer... Walk With Me.
Walk With Me tape. Live tape. all right well let's jam some of this jason krumer walk with me walk with me tape live tape
um on no rent yeah not anymore he's got a couple of these yeah he's got himself a mortgage at this
point i think he means no rent because it's like i don't have any really in reality I don't have rent because assholes buy tapes from me for like shh don't explain yourself

That was Jason Krumer, Walk With Me.
Those $10 worth of grief, Jason Krumer.
For free.
You know, I just did everyone a favor, okay?
Yeah, exactly.
Now no one has to go on Discogs and pay $6,000 for however much I paid for it.
They can hear it on here.
It's a nice little art piece.
It is.
You know what?
Like, it's, you know, like, the center label thing is, like, this weird, like, just in the middle around the spools.
It's got some texture to it.
It's, like, it's not like it was just, like, you know.
It's a nice little, you got a little object here. Yeah. It's got some texture to it. It's like, it's not like it was just like, you know, it's a nice little, you got a little object here.
Yeah.
I mean, like I said, I'm a big fan of the guy and his work, so, you know, I wanted to
have it.
No, it's, I can't get this back in.
Oh, it's okay.
I'll fix it.
Yeah.
Right on.
I'll make everything okay.
No, it was, you know, you get a lot of things that are like limited to six.
If you're going to limit something to five or six,
you really...
You got to make it really nice.
Yeah, you really...
Just go all out.
Yeah.
Yeah.
All right.
Who's up now?
I think...
I think...
David.
Dave.
Dave's Corner.
Dave's Corner.
Today on Dave's Corner.
Today on Dave's Corner,
Smokey Emery.
Sound effects for Invisibility
Volume 1
Youth Burnt While Traveling
what are you reading over there
that's the whole title of this tape
say it again
just listen to it later
what's this label here
holodeck I noticed this is holodeck number 1
yeah I guess this is a
you know this is a new label.
This is really nice.
Yeah, the paper's really nice.
The only complaint I have about that tape is the Smokey Emery logo or text is a little
too blurry for my taste.
Yeah, it's a little, yeah.
Everything else, though, is like-
Crisp and nice.
Yeah, very crisp, very rich but yeah smoke amory
dpi is taking down a few notches on that one yeah this apparently came out in 2003 originally
on um this guy this guy's uh projects imprint daniel apolito i think his name is he had a uh imprint called uh camisha drive
and then he did a re-release of it that was exclusive for aquarius is that who does this
project that's who does the project emory yeah i like on the inside of the j card and it's
aquarius records what's that like aquarius Records. Aquarius Records, yeah.
This dude did a second pressing of the CD-R version of this.
Oh, okay.
Exclusively for Aquarius.
And then Holodeck picked it up for the cassette release.
I like on the inside, it's like a bunch of tree branches type looking thing.
And on the outside.
It's got all these pictures on it.
It looks really good.
Yeah, I like that.
This is pro-dubbed here.
Oh, they got a little scratchy pie on the end.
Oh, I didn't notice that.
Well, you better send that back.
You better demand another copy, dude.
Yeah. Wait, what's what's
wrong with it it's got a couple scratches there's an imperfection a little imperfection there but
it's got the waffle tape grip on there which i don't really like squeeze it yeah really like
that i never heard this project before you know it's weird because like i've never seen this kind of like you know grid thing
on here but since we've started doing this podcast you've brought like five tapes that yeah yeah so
maybe i have seen it a lot and never noticed it i think the only tape i have like that is is like a
disney like christmas carol tape it's like an orange tape and it has you bring that tonight
we're gonna we We gotta jam that.
Save that for the holidays, Mike.
Oh, that's a...
That's not a Christmas song.
Right on. Well, here's...
Has Holodeck... What else have they put out?
I think they've got like four or five releases
so far, but that's the only one that I got.
It was on Discriminate recently
and I can't remember what else
they have.
I'll look it up while we're playing. We'll look it up while we play
some of the Smokey Emery tape.

get in on that. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. THE END Thank you. so
so I'm sorry. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. All right.
Smokey Emery.
Sounds like an old blues man.
Yeah, it does kind of, doesn't it?
It really does.
Like he should be wearing one of those brimmed hats.
It's like the blues man from Kids in the Hall.
Have a piece of hay in his mouth.
Piece of hay?
Yeah, like, you know, sticking out of the side of his mouth.
Does that make sense?
Nope.
All right, I got a jam here.
Is it my turn?
I think it's your turn.
Yeah, it's my turn. All right, I got a jam here is it my turn? I think it's your turn alright I got a
Caldera Lakes tape
to put out on
is it DOD universe or DOD universe?
DOD universe
I think it's Norse for
dead universe
the dude Justin that runs
that label is a solid dude
friend of mine
weren't you saying he was a weirdo a little bit ago?
He's a weirdo.
He's a good weirdo, though.
I was just checking.
The packaging for this is pretty incredible.
It comes in like, what would you call this?
It's like an all clear.
It's like an oversized.
Yeah, oversized, soft plastic case.
And then there's like a transparency
with a bunch of like
sea life and stuff
printed on the transparency
Is that a color transparency too?
What do you mean a color transparency?
I think that's
a color printed
It's a color printed transparency
See I wonder how he did that
because like I tried to get color transparencies printed
before and like it was just it would come like the colors would just print like transparent he
must have gotten that like specialty printing yeah i don't know because i've tried to do that
before too and it like it comes like on like an inkjet printer it comes out really like
kind of liney there's like like lines like lines and stuff but yeah but caldera Lakes is a...
Do you want to check that out?
A duo. I'm not sure if they're still putting stuff out.
I forget the two ladies' names
who do this project.
They haven't done anything in a while.
I haven't listened to this tape in a while,
but I remember it being really, really good.
It looks like I have the B-side

That was most of the B-side
from this possibly self-titled release which
came out a couple of years ago whether or not it's still available I'm not
really sure but if it is and if you like it maybe you want to get it I don't know
all right JP you got something you want to jam yeah well actually
before we get into that should we talk about some new releases yeah let's do that let's do that
dave you got you have internet what uh
what's on what's on the tabs out page that came out i put i put a few things up there um
a couple small batches.
One tape from Faulkner Tapes.
Yeah, there's a new like Road Cop tape out, right?
It's split with Karnak Temples.
Okay.
C25.
Faulkner Tapes who we played that tape from.
What did we play from Faulkner Tapes last week?
That was like, or last time?
I think it was a Road Cop tape.
No, it wasn't a Road Cop tape.
It was a... Whatever this is.
That's a pretty looking tape.
It was that sick jam.
Oh, no.
Faulkner Tapes is just the guy that does Road Cop.
Arclight.
Arclight, that's right.
Which was pretty awesome.
Yeah.
I really like that cloth J card idea.
What else has come out recently?
I'm not really sure.
There's a Field Hymns batch that came out at the beginning of the month from the tabs
outside here.
Oh, Kevin Greenspun, his label Bridgetown
he just dropped a huge batch
I think we already talked about that
didn't we mention that already
I don't think we did
I mentioned that last time
I did
nope
it's all on the record
I hate it when you fight
stop
he's got a pretty big batch.
Check out episode seven if you want to know what it was.
I swear I already talked about that.
Are you serious?
Yeah.
No, this is like a brand new update on Animal Side.
I'll fight you.
You'll fight me.
Anyway, there's Hobo Cube's release on there.
Ben Rain, C40.
Venn Diesel C30.
Every time I hear Vennrain, I think about Venn Diesel.
Sparkling Wide Pressure is one of my favorite project names.
Yeah.
I like that a lot.
I think it's good.
Sparkling Wide Pressure.
It just sounds like a nice crisp Glasgow ginger ale or something.
Some nice fresca, some nice cold fresca.
You don't see fresca very often.
No, but when you do, you just, you gotta drink it.
That's what you do with it.
It's good.
That's what you do with it.
It's good stuff.
Fresca.
What are some of your guys' favorite childhood pop drinks that aren't around anymore?
Pepsi-Cola.
Pepsi-Cola? You you actually you might be
the only person i know that like pepsi kona everyone i remember i used to bring pepsi kona
to school in middle school and like sell it to uh sell it to kids like i'd hustle it and i remember
uh there was this one kid who had like adhd and i sold him a pepsi kona and a jolt and like he got
like a jolt he. He got super hyper.
And I, I don't know,
like over a loudspeaker,
they're like,
John Pyle,
please come to Sister Jane's office.
And decided to go up there
and they're like,
do you realize what you've done?
Mark is ADHD
and you gave him two caffeine sodas.
The devil's juice.
And I got in a whole bunch of trouble i got detention it's a bummer man but that's on your permanent record yeah but but pepsi kona long
story long story short favorite uh favorite beverage of mine crystal clear pepsi kona
uh there i could tell you a story about crystal pepsi but it's a whole nother story
well instead of that let's play some tapes.
Whose turn is it?
You haven't even gotten to Surge?
Or like...
Sierra Mets.
Siege.
Or Sips.
Remember Sips from Beverly Hills Cop 2?
Siege.
Siege.
Remember Sips?
And Ecto Cooler?
With two S's?
Yeah, Ecto Cooler. JP, what do you got? Siege. Remember Sips? With two S's? Yeah.
JP, what do you got?
I got a hostage pageant tape.
Alright, let's see.
This is... What's it called? A little plastic baggy?
It's a baggy with a thing. It's a scrape filter part one and two.
Shane who does
hostage pageant gave me this a couple
years ago when hostageage Pageant played
in Delaware with Brian Lewis Saunders.
Let me take a look at that. Brian Lewis Saunders,
I think he definitely killed somebody.
What? He's an intense dude. Remember that guy?
That really intense dude that did
the sort of like,
I don't want to call it beat poetry,
but it was very lyric-driven.
It's stand-up
tragedy is what he calls it he
like really like was taught like i think he admitted to murdering so yeah i remember that now
yeah it's the the whole thing it's there's the opposite of comedy where your goal is to make
is to make make someone cry rather than laugh it's intense as hell it almost got to that point
because well the thing that made it really bad is like I couldn't have left the room if I wanted to
because he closed the door.
Yeah.
That's part of the point.
Did you get nervous?
I did get nervous.
That's part of the point.
It's like one of those situations where you didn't know where to look.
That's why I always carry a shiv.
I always carry a blunt object just in case.
I like this tape.
It's like this bright shank.
Did I say a shiv? No, it's a shiv, dude, right? I don't know. What's like this bright shank. Did I say a shiv?
No, it's a shiv too, right?
I don't know. What's a shiv?
A shiv's a knife.
Yeah, a shiv's a knife.
Okay, so it's a shiv.
You've never done any time on the inside, Dave.
This tape is like bright-ass yellow,
and then it has like bubblegum pink paint
splattered all over it.
It looks really nice.
Yeah.
You got any on the leader?
A little bit. A little bit, yeah.
It's hard to avoid.
It comes in a little plastic bag.
Hopefully you clean your heads regularly.
On this thing, no.
An F-11 paper here
for the insert slash cover.
I like that it's a giant tape.
Oh, on the thing?
It's a diagram of the parts of the tape.
It would have been good if It's a diagram of the parts of the tape.
It would have been good if they took a picture of this tape and put it on there.
Yeah.
That would have been good.
All right, well, let's play a little bit of this hostage pageant tape.
Who released this?
I think Shane just put it out himself.
Self-released. I'm going to go to the next one. so
so I'm going to go to the next one. so so
uh Thank you. Thank you. so Thank you. so All right.
All right.
That was hostage pageant.
A burst.
Shane's a nice dude.
Yeah.
Yeah, he's a great dude,
and it works out because that project is awesome.
I'm a huge fan.
Yeah, it's good stuff.
All right, Dave.
I'm tabbed out.
You're tabbed out.
I'm tabbed out for the night.
I'm all tabbed out.
I'm all tabbed out.
You want to take us out?
Yeah, I'll take us out here.
I've been carrying this tape with me the last few podcasts.
He's been doing a walkabout and has been with them the whole time.
He's had one of those
hobos carry around in cartoons.
Oh, like the bundle on a stick?
Yeah, he's had his tape in it.
Bundle on a stick.
That sounds like something you can get
at a Newark restaurant.
It's like disco fries.
Oh, is this the M. Gattis Gangerys gangers tape yeah it came out on uh six sick
that's a german label right probably i think that's john s-i-c-s-i-c six sick um yeah i'm
gettys gangers he does a bunch of i've i've got a bunch of stuff from this dude and everything is
pretty much yeah definitely top 10 uh do you know dudes doing this kind of like stuff yeah and this
um this particular tape is um both analog and digital modular which is kind of nice to see
somebody else rocking the laptop modular shit let me check out the packaging for this this guy uh
have we played i have this voter death squad tape back here have we played that yet i think we talked about this earlier yeah i think we played it a have this Voter Death Squad tape back here. Have we played that yet?
I think we talked about this earlier.
Yeah, I think we played it a few podcasts ago. That's him and some other dude.
He does a few projects.
And, like, he's constantly putting out stuff.
Yeah, and he did, he was apparently in Pocahontas for,
I don't know if he's always in Pocahontas,
but for a few releases, I think.
Oh, you know what?
It was probably on that record
Passage, maybe.
I know that Cameron Stallone
is from Son of Raul, played on that
and they had a couple other guests on that.
Trouble Man put that out.
Trouble Man put it out?
Yeah. How long ago was that?
I want to say
summer 2009. I want to say it was around
then because it was right... I remember got that right um not not fun was distributing it and it came out right when
not not fun came with a run of like a ton of serious bangers so is it dave is this the norelco
this tape came this tape came in uh yeah because this is like like, I feel like a thriller came in this.
This is like a total old school.
Like it's got the on the side.
Well, I mean, the spine matches up with the.
Oh, it does.
It's the little.
I like the spines that are a little bit.
This is like the half inch spine.
Oh, the fold over you mean? I like a good.
Or not spine.
I'm sorry.
The fold over on the back.
Yeah.
Everything.
This is like a. Well, this is like you said, it's like a European label.
So they're just getting Noroccos over there.
They're just getting them now.
Probably just getting Thriller too.
Yeah, so this probably actually is a Thriller, Norocco.
All right, right on.
Well, we're going to go out with some gems from M. Geddes Genghis,
the Kiss of Life tape on Sixth Sick.
This came out not too, too long ago,
so you may still be able to get it,
sixthsick.de on the internet.
John Powell, thanks for sitting in.
Yeah, thanks for having me here.
Joe B.
It's been great to be Joe's stand-in.
Yeah, when, you know. We'll have to get a four-way going here soon. Really? to be Joe's stand-in.
We'll have to get a four-way going here soon.
Really?
I can hang with you guys?
You just made his day.
Can we handle that in this room?
This room's not that big.
We can handle it.
You think?
I'll have to get a surveyor in here with one of those little things.
You ever see those guys on the street with
the little things with a wheel on the bottom?
They're walking down. I don't think they're doing anything.
What are they doing with those?
And the other guys over there with the tripod looking at them.
They're not doing
shit, man. Nothing's going on there.
They're doing a YMCA photo shoot.
It's not a YMCA.
You know what I meant. The village people.
Whoa, whoa, whoa guys guys what
john what do you have to say my my dad choose your word my dad's a surveyor that's all i'm saying is
