Starting point is 00:03:48 Joe, did you bring your leather jacket? Oh, I got it in the car, baby. I just wasn't sure if I was allowed to bring it in. I was going to say, you're not wearing anything else right now. I was going to tell you, put a jacket on. I'm not naked. Why not a leather one? Tabzow, Jesus Christ.
Starting point is 00:04:00 What a high energy start. Good day, mate. A good day to you. You hear that song? Yeah. metal shuffle yeah my dad used to play out of the car and i thought it was called hit me with a shovel and i would always i was always asking him if i hit me with a shovel cool story dave i like that one tabs out cassette podcast Episode number 86 I believe Dave let me ask you
Starting point is 00:04:27 DJ Outside Space Is that also the Rock from Slovak Are they one character now Or is that two different people Oh it's two different people He's on the later shift Rock from Slovak goes to Midnight And then DJ Outside Space does the Overnight Shift
Starting point is 00:04:43 Can DJ Outside Space have the name The Slovak goes to Midnight and then DJ Outside Space does the Overnight Shift. Can DJ Outside Space have the name the Slovakian Rockian? Like as his other nickname? Yeah. It's a little bit weirder than the Rock and Slovak. Oh boy. So who wants to start this? Dave, put your phone down.
Starting point is 00:05:03 This is some just common etiquette. Common etiquette, huh? I love common etiquette. What's going on tonight, boys? Nothing. I thought we'd play some tip. You don't like uncommon? The etiquette I desire is non-conventional.
Starting point is 00:05:23 Dave, do you want to start tonight? Why don't you get a tip? Or Joby, you want to start tonight why don't you get a tape tip or joe b you want to start tonight whatever one you want to do what do we you know what let me start tonight all right because i got i got i'm heated about something oh i don't like it when you're and i need about your new computer you got a new computer over here do you hear the fan going nope that's because they might hear the fan in the other room that's because... Well, they might hear the fan in the other room. That's because it runs as... This new program's incredible. It's got all the programs on it. Look, it's got all the keys.
Starting point is 00:05:54 It's got all the keys. Painter's tape isn't holding it together. She's ready to go. All systems go, Michael. You know it. Gotta check it every month. Let's go. All right.
Starting point is 00:06:03 I want to talk about this. So I got this new M. Sage tape. M. Sage, as we all know, Matt Sage, who runs Patient Sounds. I believe it's pronounced Matthew. What'd I say? No, I'm just kidding. Gotcha. Did I say Matt Thal again?
Starting point is 00:06:18 No, you said Matt. M. Sage, ripe with typo, cassette on orange milk that he did. Now, I got a little bit of a problem here. What's your beef? On the preview for the artwork, there's these clouds. First of all, I want to talk about- What preview? Was it on the interweb? On the interweb.
Starting point is 00:06:32 Is that what you said? The interweb? Yeah. So you know it was real. I want to take a moment to talk about, though, before we started the show, we were talking about Keith Rankin artwork. Dave, was it you or was it me who said that his computer is just probably a mess? His desktop is a mess with folders that just say like shapes.
Starting point is 00:06:52 No, I think it's highly organized. But there's a lot of them. Oh, like when you turn it on. It's just like rows and rows of folders. It's like 1994, like a computer. It's a couple screens. Oh, he's got three monitors. I say he has two like uh the regular
Starting point is 00:07:05 like up-to-date long uh you know monitors and then one really old one okay that's the one that he works on the other ones are constantly screensavers he's working over here um so anybody has clouds doors windows animals invisible doors yeah where it's, you don't see anything on any of the files. Landscape. Landscape. Mountainscape. So anyway, this is a stage change. Mouse door.
Starting point is 00:07:32 Keep going. Don't stop. Keep doing that. One of these clouds on there is like, it has this cool melting effect, right? And that was my, I saw that and I go, I was going to buy the tape anyway. How long does this usually take? And I said, I want to said, I need this tape. I need this tape specifically for that cloud.
Starting point is 00:07:50 Because you like that? That was the only reason I was buying it. It comes and they changed the artwork. They changed it. The cloud's not melting anymore. Well, that was just a preview. Yeah, a preview of what? Of dreams to be broken?
Starting point is 00:08:01 That's stupid. I didn't like it. I like this one. You like that one better than, huh? This is a good cover. If I didn't know there was a melting cloud there, Mike, I would still really like that. Sorry about that.
Starting point is 00:08:14 Oh, it's still pretty good. It's a little froggy. It's like a secret world in like a Super Mario Bros. 2 maybe. That was a bootleg, right? That looks like... Have you ever played that game 3D World Runner? It came on regular Nintendo? No. It came with 3D glasses?
Starting point is 00:08:30 What? It came with 3D glasses? It came with 3D glasses. It's like a 2D scroller, but it's three-dimensional, so you're running straight ahead. It's not a view from the side. You have to jump over cliffs and stuff like that and fight a big snake.
Starting point is 00:08:46 If you hit select, it would go into 3D mode so it would look all blurry. You had to put your 3D glasses on. Talk about technology. That was a good game. What does that have to do with anything? It looks like that level. The artwork looks like that.
Starting point is 00:09:01 Yeah, I dig the art. Let's get into here with something off of side. Let's look. Impering is tight. Let's go off of side. Alright, MCH, Rifle of Typo. Orange Milk Records. 2016. Here comes something for you. Well, see you later. Oh, my God. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. so
Starting point is 00:13:14 uh Thank you. so so I'm going to make a hole in the bottom of the box. I will make a hole in the bottom of the box. I will make a hole in the bottom of the box. I will make a hole in the bottom of the box. I will make a hole in the bottom of the box. Matthew Sage. I am Sage. Kill on it.
Starting point is 00:14:39 Yeah, man. That tape is really good, man. It is a really good tape. Melting Cloud or not. I got to say, without the Melting Cloud, it's... Well, that's just not fair, is it? It's not fair. It's not fair, Mr. R.
Starting point is 00:14:51 But they took it away from me anyway. M.C. is right for a typo. Cassette on orange milk. I believe it sold out. It came out with a tight batch. Well, see you later. Just like that, it was gone. So, you can probably still, like, you know, if you're a downloader,
Starting point is 00:15:06 if you're a modern-day pirate. No, don't do the pirate bit. Don't segue into the pirate bit. That wasn't a segue. I said no to that. I forgot about the pirate bit. That wasn't a segue into it. Now that you got me thinking about it, though.
Starting point is 00:15:21 Okay, Joe B. It's where Mike's also a real pirate. But he also pirates music But he talks in a pirate voice You would like it a lot I'm not going to do it But you would like it a lot Alright, I'm going to play Me and Dave are going to play a double shot
Starting point is 00:15:38 Double shot Tuesdays Oh yeah? Two's great, but three's a crowd I got another character That's why we're not going to play three tapes I got another character I just do one of them around going to play three tapes. I got another character. I just do one of them around the house. Who's the guy who knows everything about cars, but he still takes his car to a mechanic,
Starting point is 00:15:51 but they always fuck up. But he's always like, I could do it myself, but I'd send it there anyway. The ways this usually takes. And the one thing he always says is, they told me I needed new tires. I said, buddy, I can hide Lincoln's head in my treads. That's the one line I would say line That's what you do these days Yeah Alright
Starting point is 00:16:08 That's pretty good Alright who's go go Play a tape I'm gonna play this tape By H Takahashi Called Body Trip I know what this is On Constellation Tatsu

I like that this tape has a little guy peeking out from behind the trees. Oh, he was a cute little guy. See, I'm not scared of him.
Starting point is 00:18:46 Let me see. I want to see what I'm not scared of. I don't find that scary at all. Look at this. What is that? Is that like, are those trees down there? Or is that like a sea of like grapes? You're crazy.

I'm't, I'm going to back up a little bit on saying that person's name is really dang. I'm going to go with Dan now. I'm flipping the script. Okay. Because I see, because I was looking at the art he made and I said, man, I'm looking at this art and that reminds me
Starting point is 00:32:54 of something. And if you buy this, the batch, the spring batch from Constellation Tatsu, it comes with a print and the print, the artwork is just as bonkers. I'm showing a little heel, boys. Whoa! Boy, yo, yo, yo, yo.

Starting point is 00:33:38 On a label called Nostroika, maybe? Nostroika. Joe, that was perfect. Say it again. Nestorica. Label from New Jersey. I'm going to tell you right now, I don't really know much about this label. They sent us two tapes. They sent us this and a road gray
Starting point is 00:33:56 tape, I think. This is their fifth release. But I'm going to say I like this label a lot, simply because on their little about me thing on their band camp, it says a knuckleball label. A knuckleball label. A knuckleball label making tapes and vinyl. Where is a knuckleball label?
Starting point is 00:34:13 I like knuckleheads. I love knuckleheads. I love goofballs. So I'm looking at that, and I'm thinking, that's for me. That's for me. I look at that, and I say, that's something that puts two things that I like together, and they present it to me. I'm going to like that. And I'm going to like it. And I'm going gonna do things with it that i enjoy it fun is fun
Starting point is 00:34:29 i like having it how long does this usually take kevin winner who uh i don't know if he still does the project two six seven three oh yeah yeah yeah that's like okay oh we thought that uh yeah i thought that name was really familiar. I love this tape. It's just the cover. The cover's got like a black. It's black and white. You know, black background. Just white text.
Starting point is 00:34:53 It's like white image of like what? Something going on in the fog? Yeah. That fog's scary. I like when you flip the J card over. You look on the inside. It's just got these white lines going through it. Like maybe the printer fucked up But probably not

Starting point is 00:50:39 Kid cereal's delicious. Not Cinnamon Toast Crunch. What do you like? I like Frosted Mini Wheats. Yeah, Frosted Mini Wheats would be good. Especially when the frosting stays on there after they've been in the bowl for a long time. I hate when all the frosting comes off
Starting point is 00:50:51 and it's just all soggy. I like it to be soggy, but still have that thick, crunchy coating of frosting on it. You are listening to Serial Talk. Wait, is this the podcast Serial? This is Serial. Is that what that's like i never had to be

And I remember there was a time when there was a lot of stuff coming out. A lot. Splits, collaborations, right? I feel like it's very sparse now. I'm not really sure why. But let's get to this packaging. gotcha um and i remember you know there was a time when there was a lot of stuff coming down a
Starting point is 00:59:45 lot splits collaborations right it's very sparse now i'm really sure why but let's get to this packaging it looks like a brad pack charlie what are you trying to tell me but if you look inside it says sp blanks hmm i don't think this might be a you know what what? Starting point is 01:00:22 It looks... They do a good job at Stumptown Printers. Dot com. Dot com. Oh, very nice job with the printing. They do a good job at StumptownPrinters.com. Very nice plug, Joby, for tonight's sponsor. All right, well, let's get into the My Cat is an Alien side of this split. Tape Crash Series number 15. Something from the... Like a split sausage?

Starting point is 01:10:18 Alright. Joe B. Go, boy! Alias the Beekeeper. What do you want to do? Do you want to? I'm going to ask you a question. Answer me this question three. Stop ganging up on me! Would you like to play a tape?
Starting point is 01:10:32 Yes. What do you got? What do you got? I'm going to play... I'm going to play the Mark McGuire tape. That I also got a rainbow. Dave, make sure we're recording, because this is going to be a good one. And we are back.
Starting point is 01:10:48 New Mark McGuire Beyond Belief on Dead Oceans. You can't believe it. What is the point of being in front, one side of belief and then beyond it? What has to happen? To be beyond belief. I would say like a Dracula you would believe, but a Dracula tap dancing? That'd be beyond belief. That's beyond belief. No, he a dracula you would believe but a dr a dracula uh tap dancing that'd be beyond belief that's beyond belief no he tap dances all the time brontosaurus playing the piano no he ballroom ballroom dances who does dracula but not tap not tap a little jazz so
Starting point is 01:11:18 well good little soft shoe yeah but not tap that would be dumb but like you know ito man it would be beyond belief though you would say right yeah it would be like what what i was just making an example of something that wouldn't be beyond belief like macho man got into a bar fight i was gonna say that's that would be inappropriate to say totally i don't believe oh okay that's not even to belief yet it's so believable yeah it's believable yeah but something beyond belief beyond now if godzilla got into a bar fight um that's beyond like a huge bar with other like like he went come on mike think about this godzilla like he didn't have your smash the building going into a human bar he went into a human bar he like went in the door
Starting point is 01:12:02 and the piano player just stopped he went to the bar and he had some drinks And then he had a bar fight Too many drinks if you ask me That's beyond belief That's beyond belief Hand me this tape Hold on I'm gonna play I don't know I had it queued up
Starting point is 01:12:16 I think it's the A side Might be second or third track Don't remember Let me see it They're all good though Who did this artwork? I don't know You didn't do your research Joe B Let's see it They're all good though Who did this artwork? I don't know You didn't do your research, Joe B
Starting point is 01:12:27 Let's see here A baby mechanic That'd be on Beyond Belief, Dave I didn't know, Dave, if you were continuing the Beyond Belief bit Or, alternatively You were saying a baby mechanic designed the art for this I'm imagining a baby in its diaper with grease all over it and like a wrench there's some sort of overall he's also got a laptop working on the
Starting point is 01:12:52 artwork for this tape i'm talking about like a 30 year old man that does work on babies with like tools and stuff tools like and stuff. What kind of work? You know, flat tires. Body work. Flat tires, transmission. Like car work on babies. On babies. That's beyond belief.
Starting point is 01:13:14 All right. This is getting ridiculous. Whoa. And this is happening in our country, isn't it? Because of Obama. Every day. Because of Obama. We got to stop him.
Starting point is 01:13:25 We'll get to it. We'll get to it. We'll get to it. All right, Mark McGuire. I always like when it's like the people that are not even getting up off the couch that say that. We got to stop them. We got to stop them. How do you know they're not getting off the couch? You don't know anything about their lives.
Starting point is 01:13:37 Because that's the only place you've ever seen them. On the couch. Sitting on the couch. Complaining about Obama. You drive them around for work, so you would know. All right. Mark McGuire, Beyond Belief. Everybody knows Mark McGuire, Cleveland dude.
Starting point is 01:13:53 Emeralds. Emeralds. A little project called Emeralds. A little project called Emeralds. A little project called Emeralds. A little project called Emeralds. We could have had that go over a little bit. It could could have went longer i feel like it would have went into like a wizard of oz thing i let off go the emerald city it's a whole tie-in bit
Starting point is 01:14:16 you get some sponsors the tin man falls down while he's dancing oh forget about it scarecrow tries to pick him up, then he falls down. You think we could travel with that? With that production? A little project called Emeralds? And those scary flying monkeys come in and carry everybody along. Like a live show? Let's cast it right now.
Starting point is 01:14:40 Alright. Let's cast it right now. I'm going to say for Mark McGuire, Mark McGuire, I'm going to say Martin Short. Martin Short. Oh, you're older. Alright. now all right let's get it right now who's i'm gonna say for mark mcguire mark mcguire i'm gonna say um martin short martin short all right what are we talking about the traveling live production of a little project called emeralds okay and who's mark mcguire play well martin short is playing the role of mark mcgu. I like that. And then there's some Wizard Oz. You can do some other ones,
Starting point is 01:15:06 but I don't want to. Who's the wizard? Okay, okay. Let's just play the Mark McGuire tape. You can play that tape. Scotty Irving is the wizard. I'm out. Thank you. so so Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. go mark mcguire beyond belief. I want to say one last thing about
Starting point is 01:22:45 a little project called Emeralds show. You know who plays Steve Hallstroud? How do you say his name? Steve Hallstroud? Yeah, that's it. You know who plays him? Who? No, I don't. Martin Short as well, because Martin Short, my friend,
Starting point is 01:23:01 is playing everyone. He's playing everybody. Yes, like Eddie Murphy and the Clumps. He's playing all. Like Eddie Murphy and the Clumps. He's playing all of them. We just watched that. Night Professor. It's horrible. Yeah. It's really bad. The Eddie Murphy one.
Starting point is 01:23:14 You and Dave just watched it. It's really bad. Really bad. The Clumps is the funniest part and it's not that funny. I think, yeah, okay. When they're farting at the table. Well, they fart. Hercules. That's the funniest part and it's not that funny I think uh yeah When they're like farting at the table Well they fart That's the funniest part Well that sounds very funny
Starting point is 01:23:30 That's the best part Now I want to watch it Alright my turn I get to go This is my turn Who played that tape You did It's Dave's turn Don't get all excited
Starting point is 01:23:44 Go ahead Dave what do you got? Come on. Let me be excited, fellas. Come on. Let me be excited. Come on. Let me get excited. Come on. I'm going to play this. Why? Are we done?
Starting point is 01:24:01 Alright, Dave. You know what? No. It's been far too long that I've been goofing off like a knuckleball. I'm done, guys. Are you done? Yeah. All right, Dave. You know what? No. It's been far too long that I've been goofing off like a knuckleball. I'm done, guys. Are you done? Dave, go ahead, and what tape do you want to play? Dibson T. Hoffweiler. Don't get the dip. Oakland to Sebastopol by Dibson T. Hoffweiler.
Starting point is 01:24:23 Sebastopol. Look at this. Are we just saying weird words? Sebastopol. Noinkers. Sebastopol? Sebastopol? Sebastopol. Look at this. We just say in weird words. Sebastopol. Noinkert. Sebastopol. Sebastopol. Sebastopol.
Starting point is 01:24:29 I don't know what that. I've never heard that word spoken. I was there once. I was there once. In Sebastopol? In the, like, 2001. I was maybe 2000. Early 2000s.
Starting point is 01:24:40 Where were you? At a show. And the house that it was at the kid lived with his parents and his parents were in a daycare and the show was in the area where the daycare was. Where they wrangled the kids, yeah.
Starting point is 01:24:54 And there was not enough room and the power blew right away and the show didn't happen. But the two people who put on the show I remember were swingers. They approached some people for a little swing in action. Oh, really? That's the only thing I know about Sebastopol or Sebastopol or whatever.
Starting point is 01:25:13 But why does that remind you of Sebastopol? Because that's where it happened. Oh, and that's a place? That's a place. Yes. You would have to know that that was a place. I didn't know that was a place. Where?
Starting point is 01:25:22 In California. Oh, in California. Oh, that's a good state, too. One of the best. One of the best. One of the best. Thanks for listening, California. So this came out on... Did you do it?
Starting point is 01:25:32 No, they didn't approach me. Oh, God, no. Oh, God, no. They found... I'd do it. I'd do it. Sorry, Dave. Mike needs a baby mechanic
Starting point is 01:25:45 I just remembered that It just came to my head when I heard that I'm sorry I'm sorry for having memories you guys Jesus This came out on full spectrum Full spectrum records And one of these nice little O cards
Starting point is 01:26:00 And additions Littlefield too correct Isn't it like a sub-label? Like a label that's a substitute for it? For a sub underneath of it? Yes, Additions Littlefield. Is it a sub-label or is it a series? No, it is. I think it's both.
Starting point is 01:26:19 As I lick my lips. You know what? It might be. Yeah, because Full Spectrum and Additions Little Field logos are on the spot. There you go. Two shirts of logos. Two's great, but three's a crowd. Two's scary. And who is this?
Starting point is 01:26:38 This is Dipson T. Hoffweiler. That's not a real name, right? Dipson T. Hoffweiler? No. Boys, did you hear Dipson T. Hoffweiler. That's not a real name, right? Dipson T. Starting point is 01:26:50 That sounds like a guy. That's right. Dipson T. Hoffweiler. Sounds like a guy that invents a blimp. The Hoffweiler. The Hoffweiler blimp. His grandfather made some sort of coating that goes inside the blimp. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:27:06 That's where the Hofweiler money comes from. No, this person's real name is David T. Hofweiler. David T. Dipson T. Hofweiler. Dipson, huh? Dipson. You guys like Mel Dipson? My favorite type of guitar.
Starting point is 01:27:21 Oh, I love Dipsons. I love Mel Dipson. Hoffweiler Dibson You know what that To me what that sounds like it would soundtrack Like in like the 70s or 80s Like cartoons that like Braveheart Weren't like done very well They weren't detailed
Starting point is 01:31:40 And it'd be like a mouse trying to like stack up cheese But it keeps failing And it keeps like falling over and stuff and eventually just gives up. I didn't watch those kind of cartoons when I was little. You don't remember those kind of grim cartoons? I watched good ones. I think those are dreams that Mike has.
Starting point is 01:31:53 He thinks they're cartoons. No, honey, those are just your cartoons. The animation wouldn't be perfect to be like, you know, the frames. It'd be like, not like a flip book, but you know. Yeah, like old style. Like the old style. No, we didn't have those.
Starting point is 01:32:06 We had the good ones. Bugs Bunny. That's what I grew up on. Do you guys remember that animated cup character that was on those? At the beginning of the movies, they come out and they're like, turn off your cell phone. No, the animated cup character on Sesame Street. No.
Starting point is 01:32:22 He talked like Captain Beefheart and he would like. Really? Yeah, it was like a cup that moved across the counter but it had a cartoon drawn on it and i think it was on sesame street you sure this isn't something like your parents did come day come watch sesame street dave and they like get behind the kitchen counter and like do this whole thing no i'd so sock puppets and d Dave's favorite characters on. Dave, don't listen for a second. That's not what Sesame Street is? Dave, tune out for a bit. Go into the silent
Starting point is 01:32:52 booth. The foyer. I bet what it was, Joe, and I'm serious. I bet Dave's parents were trying to have sex behind some furniture. They were like, look at this cup. They would pick up the cup and say, look at this cup. And they'd wave it back and forth while they were getting down
Starting point is 01:33:06 to like parent business. And Dave would just sit there and imagine a little stupid Dave just looking at the cup for like probably what? Six, seven minutes? Yeah. Tops. Okay, Dave, come on back, man. How long does this usually take? Alright, what are we playing?
Starting point is 01:33:23 It's your turn. Oh, it's my turn? You're so dumb. Did you keep that aspect of the packaging? I don't think that I ever got it like that. No, I think you threw it away.
Starting point is 01:53:13 I think it came like that. I think you threw it away, Joe. Oh, did I open this? I think you saw that and you threw it right away. Oh, I think I did do that. That's my memory. That's part of the aesthetic. That's my memory. I didn't know that. I thought that was just packing material. I don't know what to think now that's right when i don't know get out of the properly judge this tape so it just came in like some recycled paper with twine around it yeah but i think that has something to do there's a story about it well we'll never find

I just remember a sex scene. I don't think anyone's ever actually played before. he let me look at it what actually what are you actually doing that I don't really remember I just remember
Starting point is 01:54:07 a sex scene a sex scene but it had like a you know like a black little square over it and then you get out and you put your shirt on
Starting point is 01:54:15 horrible graphics though like horrible yeah right was it really a screensaver that just ended up in the game section all the stores for some reason like it was a mistake
Starting point is 01:54:23 and nobody ever actually bought it? So nobody discovered it until like a year ago where they decided to cut it open and give it a shot? No, it's a real game. It's a real game? I've seen it played. What's it like? Point and click? Like you go there? Yeah. And they go over there and then you ask somebody a question? Yeah. And she like takes her shirt off?
Starting point is 01:54:39 Yeah, yeah. That's awesome. Gets me rock hard. You sold that at Best Buy, huh? Yeah, I did the art. Really? Yeah. Best Buy wasn't around back then, was it? I don't think Best Buy was around at the time.

Starting point is 02:03:50 To be, I was doing my work ahead of time I was gonna memorize them then delete the bookmarks You know Endless chasm Harm health Tape on lurker bias What do you think that sounds like to an old person you have to delete the cookies on your computer like how does that how does that process i don't even know what to
Starting point is 02:04:10 yeah like like the picture like somebody like dragging like a picture of a cookie onto the trash can like picking up the monitor and shaking it and the crumbs will fall so it's not even that it's not even that advanced it's just they think there's physical cookies in the computer yeah you put like a vacuum. There's a vacuum attachment for the disk drive. Where the fan is. Yeah, where the fan is, yeah. And that's how you delete your cookies.
Starting point is 02:04:31 That's how you delete your cookies. Or you just dunk it. Dunk it in water. Salt water. Salt water, obviously. It's an electronic. I'm not an idiot. All right.
Starting point is 02:04:42 Listen, I told him, buddy, I hide lincoln's head in my treads all right i don't need new tires i said babe the kid must have been 13 i said hey kid do you have a wrench this is the baby you know this is the talking baby that the baby mechanic this is the baby mechanic i'd seen where where oh it's like look who's talking all right i gotta get a new diaper oh now i get now i get the bit it's you're a baby and we hear you saying that. Here's the thing. I'm the original baby from that movie. They cut your scenes.
Starting point is 02:05:10 No, no, no. Oh, growing up now. And now you're a mechanic. And now I'm like, yeah, now I'm like, what, 30 years old, right? Yeah. Something like that. So now, but I'm still the baby. But I'm also like, I have a job.
Starting point is 02:05:23 You have like some kind of disease like the guy guy in mask i bet it just i have baby disease dave dave jesus what dave can you go back in your booth over there again joe i'm gonna talk about something about mask no about that movie when dave sam l.a he's a biker when dave's parents were behind the like the sofa having sex uh do you think it was just like any cup they found? No, it was a specific paper cup that had drawings on it and they spun it and that's how he was like, ooh.
Starting point is 02:05:53 It's like it's moving. I clapped. Alright, Dave, come back. Wait. How old am I? How old am I? Fifteen. How old is fifteen? It happened from
Starting point is 02:06:06 Since you were born until you were about 15 Then you figured it out I was a slow In slow development I was wearing Barney shirts I didn't go outside very much when I was 15 And my parents did Sesame Street for me And you watched Sesame Street every day
Starting point is 02:06:23 But I grew up It was always on The. But I grew up. It was always on. The next year I grew up, though. There were a lot of guest stars, too. Endless chasm. The mailman. My neighbor played a role. He was on it a couple times.
Starting point is 02:06:43 He played like an angry mailman that didn't care about anything uncle jeff uncle jeff was on it once that was a weird one is this way oh wait this is dave's parents i was going to say this is this the baby mechanics parents but this is dave's parents just in real life all right and i'm confused about the the baby mechanics parents but this is days right in real life all right and i'm confused about the the baby mechanic tape or um movie what about it so it's a movie now you're playing a talking baby not a talking that talks about cars but it's actually called baby mechanic which is about a 30 year old man that works on babies oh yeah there's a reason you talk like a little kid there's a guy there's an evil scientist
Starting point is 02:07:25 right who wants to he knows that i have this power that i'm and no one else notices that i'm a baby they just they i do i do what a 30 year old man does and no one questions it but this one scientist notices and he wants to like slug kidnap me and slice me open so he got a job at the mechanics place and he's trying to to track me down the whole time. And I'm always like, time to give him the slip. And I spill some oil down. He falls on it. And then so now, wah, wah.
Starting point is 02:07:54 Yeah, and he's trying to baby mechanic me. But I'm also a baby mechanic. All right, that makes sense. He read that right off the back of the box. Endless chasm. Harm health. Lurker bias number 45. I dig this label.
Starting point is 02:08:12 Yeah, I dig the art. I like how they always... That was present me jinxing my past me. They always have... They use the same spine. It's just black and white on the spine. And it's... I particularly like this shell.
Starting point is 02:08:27 It's like a hard orange. And it's spray painted. It is a hard orange. It's spray painted. Oh, really? Yeah. Oh, I see it now. It's a very nice spray job.
Starting point is 02:08:36 If you unwrapped an orange Starburst and it was that hard, you'd be like, I'm not, too scary. Too scary. I'm not eating that. Break your teeth on that. That's like a Jolly Rancher. But I dig the art. Yeah, me too. Yeah, I dig the art.
Starting point is 02:08:51 The orange shell looks... Oh, it's such a... Now I can't stop looking at how orange it is. Did the microphones used to sound that bad? Sound how bad? When you play that clip, it sounds horrible. Yeah. And what's that high...
Starting point is 02:09:04 Yeah, what's that high pitch? I dig the art. The high pitch sound in the background? Yeah, I dig the art. It's a feedback. Yeah, and we were holding the microphones. You're a bunch of dummies. It sounds like I was talking through my telephone. I think we did the first one via telephone.
Starting point is 02:09:19 Did we? Yeah. Just to test it out. I don't feel like coming over. I'm not going to come over if it's not worth it. All right. Endless fucking chasm. Let's end this out.
