Hello and welcome to Talkin' Baseball. Your ALCS is set. Strow's Sox and NL. We're going to Game 5. Let's talk about it. Treves! Hello and welcome back to Talking Baseball. Myself, Jake Strombole, Trevor Plough. John Boy will be joining us mid-show. He's running, making his way downtown. House is past and he's home back. Do you know, do. Trevor, Baby D. We're live from the Draft King studio. Chat is kicking this morning. Baseball is hot in the streets. The ALCS is set. The Braves win in four against the Brew Crew as they await the Giants Dodgers winner tomorrow night.

That's where I get my hats. He's my guy. I saw a few of my L.A. Kobe hats at the Dodgers game last night. Wow. So he's doing well. Let me tell you something. Yes. Baseball is so hot right now.

There's so many things going on. Storylines. People are going home. Teams are getting vacation plans ready. Other teams are like, dang, we got more baseball. and then Los Hibador Hyantes

and Los Angeles Doyers Game five Yeah It's big time man I'm excited Let's talk about some of this stuff How are you doing it by the way

And the Loser's shirt Our Brew crew man, it just seemed like that was going for five, kept hammering at home. I guess we kept wishing it in the Braves, man. We are cronpod, so there's a game before that. But I'm doing well. I'm doing well. You know, first day without a baseball game tonight.

So might get in my six hours of sleep tonight. But yeah, man, this first game, because we're going to cronpot it. I know we already, we were gossiping pre-show about your AL Central a little bit. There's a little bit of a combo there. Not as much as a combo as you want. But I'm doing well, man. We're here. Oh my gosh.

This is like we train all season to cover the playoffs like we do. And here we are. We get to talk with a chat popped out. I'm telling you, man. The vibe last night at the Dodger game was excellent. You were in the building. I was in the building. Not much of a game, to be honest.

There was a few times where the Giants kind of maybe had a chance to make it a game. They didn't. When you start to see the horses, the Dodgers trod out there in the bullpen. It didn't look like the Giants really put forth their best effort last night. But we'll talk about that later. But a lot of John Boy Media fans of the Dodger game last night. A lot of love and love. the stands. Pretty cool. Yeah, so I want to give a shout out to one of them in particular because

she told me she'd be listening at school, which is, we think you're supposed to do that. Don't listen to your teacher, listen to us, obviously. Bianca, what's up? What's up, B, what's up, Jake? What's up, B, we're your teachers now? Teacher BPD, teacher Trev, teacher Jake. And yeah, yeah, a little housekeeping before we get into the three games. I think we're going to not record tomorrow at 1130 because there won't be a game. We will be live streaming. We'll be live for NLDS, Game 5, Dodgers, Heantez.

And then Friday morning, 1130, 12, we're going to recap the game and then we'll do a full ALCS, NLCS preview. We'll talk about the pitching matchups, who's lined up, what we like, what we don't like we got our research and development team on it. So for now, I think it's time to get into the games, Trev. Dude, I was just shaking hands, kissing babies. You know who else? I'm going to tell you who else I saw. Okay. Saw Hunter Green. Yeah. One of the biggest prospects in baseball. He was behind home plate as well.

he DM me, he said, look to your left. I look to my left, and there's a massive human being, who I know is Hunter Green. So we get to chop it up a little bit. He kind of gave me his offseason plans. He should be in the rotation for the Reds next year. A lot of people, me and Magic Johnson chopping that, but, you know, that's for another day.

Who on the field waved to you last night? Did, you know, nobody during the game. Yeah, I was screaming so loud for long ago. People were... Damn. It was the only person I was cheering for. And, you know, I'm in the middle of Dodger Blue. I'm wearing my bright red Johnboy hoodie.

And I'm just going, Longo, my captain, I love you. People thought I was crazy. And then he didn't exactly have great at bats last night. But it's all right. Yeah, I don't, we'll talk about it. I don't think the Giants really cared last night. They didn't. They put forth an effort.

White Sox trying to hold on to life as they try to ride on with Rodon. Carlos. Let's see where the fastball's sitting and he was hunking heat early. He had it. Good news for the White Sox as they took on Snapdragon Trev's guy Lance McCullors Jr. How about Gavin Ben Sheets?

Another guy that had a curveball. He takes the curveball 408 to center. It's 1-0 White Sox. They needed that. I'll tell you what they didn't need, Trev. Carlos Correa in a big moment. You already know what happened. Doubles to left, two run scores. When Maldonado punches you, it's hurt. That's a thick boy. Breggie Smalls, Brantley, two times.

Jose Altuve. Jose Altuve. Houston went on to score the next 10 runs. White Sox, get eliminated at home. They score on Rodon. They score on Copac. They score on Tepara, Kimbril, Hendricks.

Meanwhile, the Astros bullpen. Yimmie Garcia. Maiton, Stanick, Graveman, and Presley. Shut them down. I don't know, Tepera. I don't think they're stealing much from you except this series. Astros take the series 3-1

as they take game 4-10-1 final. Snap for me. My goodness. You are just something else. man. This was a beat down, Jake. It really was, man. There's nothing else you can say.

This series was a complete, utter beatdown. And I'm actually happy the White Sox got that first game at home. The place was rocking and they got the victory so that they got, at least they got a little bit of something. But other than that, man. You mentioned it and everybody knew it. Carlos Craig comes up. Was it Bases Juiced? Yeah.

Every freaking person. knew in that stadium what was going to happen. Every single person, he's developed that. That's not overnight. The reason people think that is because of how damn good the guy is in the postseason. And that lineup, they just don't quit, man. I mean, when they, I hate using this reference. I feel like I do it all the time.

When they smell blood in the water, they go get it. They're sharks. They don't stop. They don't stop. They're the bad. People are scared of them, and I think that is why people still hate so much and say, oh, they're cheating, they're cheating. Because they're a little bit scared of them. Like, these guys are actually good baseball players who cheated.

They're not just like some scrubs who cheated and got good. Like, these guys were already good. That's actually what makes it a little bit more disappointing. But, man, oh, man, you're talking straight up baseball teams right now. We have to see what happens with McCullers here, but they're going to be tough to beat. Yeah, and it's, you know, my brain starts wanting to jump big picture stuff, and not to give us too much of a pat on the bat back. We all had the Astros in the series.

They're the favorites in the A.L. And it just never felt like that all year with all the baseball conversations that happened. And then, yeah, man, I mean, they kind of got ran over. And you're right. I mean, the Astros are, the Astros are now the back. guy in the movie, but in the best way. Like, they don't, you know, it's not an Austin power scenes where they leave the backdoor open and you can escape.

Like, they just put their foot on your throat and, like, Tepara, what is you doing, baby? Like, I don't piss them off. Like, don't, just don't do that. It's never worked for anyone. So, yeah, I mean, they rolled over him in this game. Rodon, he was emptying the tank. I think his first inning fastball was sitting like 97 and then second inning. It was down to 94.

So a long year, an awesome year for him coming off shoulder injury. It looked like he was kind of running out of steam. He tried to give it his all. And hey, I think he was a pitch away against Correa, but were you really? You know? And then they go to Kopec right after that. So there's discussion should they have gone to him earlier. But he gets hit the next inning.

Like these Astros are just a. different breed, man. McCullors, you know, 4.4 innings, one-earned run. And in these playoffs is basically a good start. That's almost a quality start at this point, the way teams use their bullpen. And shout out to the Stro's bullpen. Like, we saw, we saw the night before this Red Sox raise. You know, the raise came back from what, down 5-0, 5-1. There was never hope. There was just never hope, man. They didn't score after the second inning on the sheets. home run. Astros dominated.

They had 19 at bats with runners in scoring position. The White Sox had two. Like, this was just a domination. And at BPD, I don't want to send you down too much of a wormhole because we'll also have all offseason to discuss this. But if you're the White Sox, it's going to be a really interesting offseason because I don't know, I don't know who you're losing. You're only losing.

Rodon is not. He's not on contract. I'm not sure. Lynn is back. Yeah. They have everyone. They don't need to do it much in the off season. We talked about this earlier today.

They just ran into a buzzsaw. Maybe they need the other teams to retool in the division and that narrative can get taken care of. Like the Central wasn't competitive. So maybe, you know, they just didn't have to fight for much. I don't like that narrative, but it sure came true, I guess, in the playoffs. Yeah, and I... Maybe it did, maybe it didn't. I don't know, man.

But the team itself is loaded, Jake. That's what I'm saying. Like, when you say they ran into a buzzsaw, we should also be saying the Astros ran into a bus saw. Like, this team is stacked. I think something that really hurt them is Lance Lynn, who's, you know, best pitcher on the squad this year, going to be top three, top five for Cy Young votes.

The Astros own him. So basically, you go into this playoff series and instead of having your 1-1, your guy you lean on, your Avaldi, your whoever it is, it almost turned Lance Lynn irrelevant in this series, which I think kind of put it on its head a little bit, with Rodan out of gas. It's just tough.

If you're the White Sox, you know, that team on paper is stacked head to toe. And you wonder what it looks like next year. Are you just hoping on young guys to develop? Are you hoping iron sharpens iron a little bit more? Because I don't know. I know these Astros, they might be losing Correa. We'll see if they empty the bag for them.

But, like, the Astros next year will be the bad man again. Like, they're going to be there. Other teams are going to get better. So on paper, this White Sox team, and we kind of said it all year, they're stacked. So, yeah, it's going to be really interesting. I wonder if they continue to try to make jugular moves, if they add another bat. Do you add another big time SP?

Or do you say like, hey, we just saw with the Braves, like playoff experience matters. And this is, you know, they just went through another battle. They lost, but maybe it makes them better for next year. Yeah, I think they have a few things to address. I think a starter would help.

I think they should bring Rodon back. I don't know how much he's going to cost. I mean, they had him for $3 million this year. Obviously, that price going up. Second base as a whole, but like you said, this team has a really, really good team. And I disagree with you. I think if Correa is not back with the Astros, then things are much different.

I think there's, I think he holds a lot of that competitiveness for the Astros in his pocket. So we'll see, man. I don't know. I might be eating my words on that statement, but it seems to me like they rally around him. Yeah. Well, they still have them for now. and by the way, you know, they were the favorites in the AL coming into this playoffs. They're the favorites over the Red Sox.

We'll, again, we'll fully preview that series on Friday. But yeah, I mean, you know, we love talking about players earning the bag. Carlos Correa, he's got all the other numbers. If they go on another goddamn World Series run, I mean, the shortstop. I know a lot of you probably don't like him. He goes WWE and he talks at talk, but he walks the walk. Um, this freaking team. Yeah, man.

Jesus, dude. You know, and like, you know, you just sprinkle in a Yoron Alvarez out of nowhere. Yeah. You know, top five hitter in the game, in my opinion. I mean, I say that, but I don't really believe that. He's close, though. Yeah. Top 10 hitter in the game.

And we talk about the, uh, I talked about the Red Sox and how good their hitting was in their series. Um, all of their big names except Yule, Grielle hit. Altuve had a 625 slugging, 476 on base. Brantley, 368 he hit in that series. Bregman 444 on base. Your Don, 529 on base. Correa 529 on base. So like, they don't stop, baby. Kyle Tucker with the 706 slug. So yeah, man. Abraham Lincoln. That's honest Abe. They just don't stop. Man. At the Astros Red Sox series, and I know we haven't had a lot of time to think about it, and we don't want to spoil some of our thoughts, but those bats are going to be so fun to watch on both sides.

I know we love traditional playoff baseball, but get your overs ready, man. Because I think every dude on the field is going to be able to hit. Ooh, that's fun. Stop previewing. I know. I know. I got excited. Listen to this, though, Jake.

Yeah. six runs, nine runs, six runs, ten runs. That's how you do it. Yeah, man. Runs or runs. We heard that from an executive. Analytics. Yeah, really interesting.

Good for the Astros. They talk. They walk. They've got the Red Sox waiting for them. White Sox. Interesting off season. Dusty has a plan. Dusty versus Cora.

That's going to be fun. people that chat were saying Copac, crochet, possibly in the rotation next year which is I mean the White Sox have I mean they're going to be the AO Central favorites Yeah

Their team is pretty much completely back So you know It's tough for White Sox fans right now Because you went in You knew you were going to be in the playoffs for how long For like two months, three months You knew you're going to be in the playoffs And then it kind of just came to an abrupt stop

but I'm happy they got that one game because I was pretty cool to see all those White Sox fans going nuts. Yeah, and I guess though, well, we can say it for another time. It feels like they could add one more Impact bat, but this is how beautiful baseball is. I mean, next year. Impact bat, these guys are crazy. They have a great line of them.

Well, that's what I'm saying. Like, next year maybe Luis Robare just is the Impact Bat. Like, he could be this year's Vladimir. Like, there's going to be, unfortunately for them, there's a lot of time to have those conversations. Astros advance. The bad man moves on, which leaves us with some NL baseball, Trev. Yes.

The Braves trying to finish off the brew crew at home. And then your Dodgers Giants game later that night you were at. We'll get your deep dives on screaming at Evan Longoria in a little bit. Should we do Brewers Braves? Ready for it? I think so. Trev's ready. I'm ready.

Treves ready, we're ready. Jake, on your mark. Get set. Burn. The Braves trying to close it out at home and salt away a victory with Charlie Morton, the saltman, snapping sliders across the plate. While the Brewers go Lauer power, Eric Lauer to start in a must-win game for the crew. These hitters weren't it.

We're scoreless through the first four, just like college. But Omar Narvaez, he slaps a single the opposite way. Avesel Garcia scores. It's one-nothing crew. Make it two. Low Cane. Mm-hmm. Two-nothing Brewers, they needed that.

In the fourth, pinch hitter Orlando Arcia, we're getting a pitching change to Hunter Strickland. Here comes Trev's guy. Eddie. Cat scratch fever. Rosario with the two RBI single to tie it up at twos. But then it's time to get rowdy. Another rowdy to Les.

Moondog, 448 to center. What fortitude by the Brewers to make it fortitude? In the fifth, there's those pearls again. Jock Peterson with the RBI ground out. to three and then darn know what I'm saying Travis darn no it's four to four after five it's stay that way into the eighth here's Hayter this is who the Brewers want but it's who the Braves want Frederick Freddie goes four twenty eight to left center off of Hayter ninth inning Will Smith oh boy oh no he gets

out of it with the save. Morton, Jesse Chavez, Yanoa, Minter, Luke Jackson, Matzick, and Will Smith combined for the Braves. They take game four, five to four, and the Brewer's season. Oh, man, Freddie Freeman in that slider. Good job, Atlanta. Treves Braves move on. There's so much to talk about in this game. The first thing I want to mention right away.

Yes. jock peterson called himself a bad bitch yeah the pearls on yeah hits bombs right he hustles

he hustles down beats out the double play they score the run I like that that's what stood out to me get darned up there I think he's a little shooter through the three hole there

doesn't happen if jock doesn't hustle yeah uh yeah a lot of jock a lot of talk about KK and jock and the ex-dod

of this playoff so far. Man. So Charlie Martin out there on short rest. He throws BBD's 69 pitches. Nice. Nice. 3.1. Braves bullpen does enough. I mean, you know is the only one that gets touched up.

And then, yeah, our guy Ashby, which Ashby and Hader, these were two guys that were supposed to be the Brewer's weapons kind of going into this playoffs. A lot of people are circling the Devin Williams stuff, which sucks and we've talked about. And, you know, I don't even necessarily know about pitching-wise. But there's definitely something ju-ju-wise there that can't be measured, that losing that guy. I would say pitching-wise, too. Yeah, pitching-wise, it would have been nice to have them.

It would have been nice to have them. I'll echo some of Jimmy's thoughts in this. The hitting wasn't super impressive throughout this series. have to give love to the pitchers. I mean, when you talk about, when you talk about a lot of the starting pitchers, I mean, Morton, Fried, uh, Woodruff, Burns, those guys, Freddie P, like, they're, Ion, Andersen, there is a lot of good starting pitching. Not a ton of relievers that kind of jumped off and had the Doval effect, if we want to call it that, but a lot of guys that did enough. Um, but the Brewers bats this series, I mean, Locaine had two hits.

Nobody else did. Rowdy Telez had the two homers for the Brewers this series. No one else ding-donged. And yeah, I think if you say something, if you had told Brewers fans that, like, hey, Yelly's not going to have it this series. Colton Wong's not going to have it this series, and Rowdy Telez is going to hit your only homers.

That's just that ain't a formula for winning. And you know, you mentioned the bullpen of the bridge. I mean, a lot of people that I know that follow the Braves are real shaky on some of these guys, but they showed up, dude. Jesse Chavez, my guy. Asked me what I've done with that dude before. Zero ERA in the series. Minter, no runs. Luke Jackson, no runs. Tyler Manzig, no runs. And then Will Smith. How many saves? Enough to party. So they came and got the job done. A lot of the stories of starters, you know, Max and Charlie. an eye on, but you got to give credit to these guys, dude. A couple timely hits. We knew this series was going to be low scoring. I mean, these are good pitching staffs right here.

They are. My Braves do enough. My Braves do enough. They are. And there's something that should be said, you know, AJ Mint or Luke Jackson, Matzick, these are dudes that have pitched in big games now, Will Smith.

So there's definitely no fear of the moment. You know, there's, A, there's some bad base running on both sides throughout this series. Don't like that at all. The barves. But man, they move on. Trev, I know you said it the other day.

It just, it sucks so much that Ronnie's not a part of this. Because I think there could be full-blown Braves Mania if Ronald was a part of it. It's going to be tough. Whoever comes out of those West Coast games is going to be the big favorite. But, man. How about, you know, Adam Duvall, two for tree? He's moving all over the outfield, playing center field when they need it.

Young Thick is a stud. Like, I know we enjoy him because he's young thick Austin Riley, and we've gotten to talk about him a lot. But, like, we almost need to treat him with a certain level of respect. I know I was a lot of my Boston friends say I don't respect Devers enough, which, by the way, I do. My conversation about third base is how good third base is. and Austin Riley actually kind of trap them in some of the discussions

because he had as good of a year of devors and some places rates out well defensively. The point is they're both studs. And the Braves lost Solair below before this game. So in kind of a funny, weird Brave season where they never fully had the go switch, they had a lot happen, here they are in the CS, they've got three starting pitchers they really like,

there's a formula. The Solar Air thing's tough I don't know how long he has to be out Like what's the protocol on that I mean I can look into it You know I mean We I need to look into Yeah you are the people source

You want to kind of pound your chest and say you had it first. Like, Solair having COVID, you know, I do, anytime I do the people source, I do the J.R. Smith three-pointer reply gift that I got it right. And it was mostly kids who were trying to be dumb and look for interaction on the internet, but they're like, you're really celebrating this? And it's like, no, I'm celebrating getting it before the Big Jays, which tough day for Big Jays. your guy's Chefty, Trev. But, yeah, that's, uh, well. What happened to Chefty? He, uh, he did something that's not journalistically.

Oh, yeah, yeah. He sent the story over for approval. Yeah, had them check it out or something like that. So, uh, tough day, tough day for the Jays. Braves will advance, so we'll get to talk about them more. There was the weird pop-up play so ridiculous that that can't be reviewed. Dude, what is you doing baseball? What do you got out there, Trev?

You guys let me know if you can hear this. We can't. I'm impressed. You can't. Dude, it's been a minute. Trev told us right before the episode, his face dropped, and he's like, the grounds crew is here today. And, dude, that used to be a talking baseball, like almost every other app.

And it's been a minute. So it kind of gave me the feels. I kind of liked it. It's Wednesday. They're here. know, taking care of this luscious yard of mine that supports all this natural wildbikes. Because we do our Wednesday up on Tuesday during the year. That's why it's been a minute. Okay. It's been a minute. Let's see. Minimum of five days for Soler. I'm ex-I want to see if Pachet can make a difference.

That's been your guy. In the short time that he might be up, I don't know how that happens. Can they just automatically bring him back and send Paché out of there if it's like in the middle of a C-Saint? I don't know how that works. I would guess so. I'm sure they have some COVID regulations on it. I would assume you can't like, there might have, I think there's some league approval stuff. Like, if they burnt out a pitcher for 100 pitches, they couldn't do Solair for them just because that guy's out.

I'm pretty sure they have something like that in place. But yeah, we'll see if there's any ripple effect to that. I don't know. I mean, I kind of want to keep it Brewer-focused because we're going to have more time to talk about the Braves as they advance. And shout out to Snickker, man. He burnt Arcia to get Eddie Rosario the bat with runners-in-scoring position, and you make that trade 10 out of 10 times.

But a lot of managers get scared to just burn a body because it's a playoff game. And especially this was a 4-4 game late. If Freddie doesn't go ding-dong, if you start talking extra innings and bodies, then the script can get flipped on you. But I said coming into this, I thought the Brewers were a lot deeper. The Braves pinch hitters between Jock and Edda Rosario

basically provided more offense than the whole Brewers lineup. So they deserve some love over there. And then, yeah, man, if you're the brew crew, I don't know. A lot of those offensive numbers are tough. Do you circle Yelly? I know that's our guy, but he had some. tough A-Bs, man. Yeah, I think he's

going to work this off season to maybe retool some things. But yeah, they need him to be the offensive force in their lineup. And we talked about this a little bit earlier today. Like, what do they need? I think they need hitters. They need bats, dude. Yeah. They were middle

of the pack and run scored. Middle in the pack and run scored per game. Like they have the pitching. We get that. They can do that. Go get some hitters to strike some fear into these other lineups. Yeah. No, I think there's definitely some

parallels between Braves, Brewers, and Sox-Rays, right? Like the Braves had some experience, had the bats. Yeah, man, very interested to see how the rest of this

postseason goes, because, you know, the tail is as old as time. You can't have enough pitching come off October. Pitching controls the game. But also, So, I mean, we're seeing how the big bats have dictated series so far between the Astros and the Sox. The Braves, Freddie Freeman with the big homer off of Hater. That's insane. Riley had a good series.

Jock had a good series. Yeah, and the Brewers, you know, they always have the arms. They always play really good defense. Ureus showed out yesterday. He had a couple huge plays at third base. did some tough ones some really tough plays that kept the game in important moments

like if you're the, you're almost want to not have home field advantage. Like go split the games right away and then get home field advantage. It's like so easy. I think the Giants mission was just get it back to San Fran for game five, which these other series they couldn't do. Especially when you're playing it somewhere like, Enway, that makes it really tough. Good for the Braves. A really weird year. It didn't feel great. I guess for the Braves, it felt better late because they were in first place of their division. But compared to previous Braves team, this team never had it. I know I've said it before, but like appreciate who Will Smith

and as Erica put on our sheet here he started at left field center field first base and right field that's crazy that's on the and he's a premier bat in the game on the on the BR bleach report thing we did. They asked if, I think someone tweeted in and it was like, are the Giants going to really miss Chris Bryan after this year? And it was kind of like, not really. I mean, he's been

new to the team, but at the same time, like, I might lock it in that KB's staying in San Fran. Like, I think everything you just said, he plays all those positions. Like, I, I don't know, he does seem like a fit. The other guy who fits your, a lot of baseball players are massive. every pitcher, Jake McGee came in the other day and was like, that guy's an O-Lineman. Well, he's a Sveld, a Sveld retired O-Lineman right now for Jake McGee. Corey Seeger's huge. Corey Seeger's a massive guy.

And yet at the same time, the guy who does the biggest damage early in this game is Mookie Betts, who might be 5-8-170. Short King, baby. Is he the short king? It's really tricky. I mean, I think Al Tuvei would have the nod without some of the habit stance that's now tied to him. Mookie's got a great conversation for the number one sports short king.

Know who might be coming for him? I think Kyler, dude. I think Kyler Murray's short. Oh, yeah, that's true. He is short. So there will be one day we'll do in all Short King's draft. for now we'll keep it here. Walker Bueller gets the infield single off the pitcher

that sets up the mooky homer and if you believe in Juju and Baseball Gods, I mean that essentially ended the game. Dodgers going up, 4-0 at home, knowing that the Giants did have game 5 in their pocket. It basically hit a point in this game where it was like, if you're the Giants, you just didn't want to burn out, Rogers, McGee, or Doval, who Doval doesn't pitch in this one.

Rogers does. He throws seven pitches. McGee throws nine. So end of the day, I don't think we can sit here Thursday night after the game and say like, oh, McGee and Rogers got worn out. Like, no, off day. You threw a couple pills. Anything else you saw at this game, Trev?

I was sitting next to this lady and Rogers comes in. She's like, what is he throwing that way? I was off. It's just what he does. It kind of like a submarine guy. like you want me to blow your mind she's like yeah i'm like he's got a twin brother that pitches on the twins and she couldn't believe me she's like what do you mean what do you mean i'm like no really he has a twin brother who's a dominant reliever on the twin she's like does he throw

that way too i said no he's a lefty those cheese but it was funny to see that i mean i don't know it was it really seemed to me and giants fans could correct me if i'm wrong and actually they can't correct me because i talked to one of the coaches after the game They could have brought Logan Webb and tried to go for it this game. They decided against it. They liked their chances in San Francisco with all their guys ready to go. And I think that was ultimately the decision. Maybe we can sneak this game out.

It's not like they weren't trying. Yeah. But I don't think they were trying their hardest. Whereas the Dodgers, like you said, when they get up two runs, when they get up four nothing, they can empty the clip if they need to, but they didn't even need to. You know what? They brought Kelly in. They brought Brewster in.

Trinan. But they didn't, they brought Trinning in too, but it didn't have to empty everything. And those were kind of like low leverage type situation. So it wasn't like crazy. You know, they needed these guys to go out

and throw high-stressed pitches. Both these teams are set up perfectly. Ureas versus Webb. Bullpins are all ready to go. I mean, game five, baby. Yeah. Game freaking five.

These teams are so evenly matched. I know on paper the Dodgers look much better. but 109 wins 109 wins one fucking game Jake I'm sorry I cuss but it deserved it's okay emphasis

and you know what I guess I guess the only thing we are missing and BBD correct me if I'm wrong is we should we should tee up game 5 a little bit because we're not recording tomorrow because and Trev you let us into it

Ureus, Logan Webb, in San Fran. It doesn't get much better than that. I wouldn't be surprised if you see Max Scher trotting around in the bullpen, kind of the reverse Ureus. But also, I mean, they've got Kenley, training, Kniebel, Kelly or Vesia, I think you're playing with a little more, a little more risk there. Bruce Star, who they've started to trust again.

We looked nasty last thing. by the way. It's perfect, man. It sucks so much for whatever team loses this game. Like, I literally can't imagine. Because, you know, we're, we make fun of them, but we're talking heads now. Like, what are we going to say about if the Dodgers lose?

What are we supposed to say? Like, they won 106 teams. They're a super team. It's kind of a massive disappointment. If the Dodgers, if the Giants lose, we're going to say, uh, we knew it was going to be. going to end at some point and it's like well they they may have just lost to one of the best

rosters ever assembled so I don't know what you do. If the Giants lose this series do not let me say we knew the Dodgers were going to catch them eventually. I know I said that all freaking season long I really felt that but the Giants

kept them away. That is not what happened here. The Dodgers didn't just catch up to the Giants and beat them in a five game series if that happens. These are just two really freaking good teams that had to slug it out over five. We wish this could be a seven game series. We wish this could be for the whole dang thing, almost, but uh, giants are legit, man. The giants are legit. I thought I had something else to say. And now I forgot. Oh, Pujols. Albert. Big ovation last night. That was pretty cool.

And I agree with that sentiment. It's going to be a much more difficult time for the Braves, which either team they have to play because there is, there are longer lineups here. But man, I don't think, I just don't think you can, you can disrespect the Braves that way with what they just did. So true. With what they just did.
