They could trade a lot, but no one wants. Ooh, I disagree. Well, for the price. I got eat tons of money. Yeah. And that becomes an ownership thing. This is nice. Jim, let's chew through it a little bit because I know, you know, sometimes you're looking

for a form just to get some thoughts out. First, tell the people maybe two minutes on your Yankees, what you're seeing, what you want to see. Go. Yankees are good because the American League is really bad. I want to see Max Fried and Judge get healthy. And then from there, I think they're. a really good playoff team.

Even if they don't improve that much after that, maybe can't win the World Series, but I think they can get the ALCS if Judge and Freed are healthy. And everyone else stays. Because that gives you a rotation of Schlitler, Rodon, or Schlittler, Freed, righty, lefty, Cole, Rodon, righty, lefty, which is really good top four.

And I'm talking just getting to the ALCS. Like, I think they can do that. They have to win the division, though, because the three-game set screws you up so much, and the rays are good. So- Are you worried about that? The rays are four games. Yeah, I'm worried that the Yankees aren't worried. Interesting. They weren't worried last year at all.

And then they started being worried two weeks at the end of the season. So I'm worried that they're not worried about that. Because you got, yeah, I mean, if you got a, it's the same thing as last year then. If they play in the three-game set and beat whatever team gets in, then, their pitching is not going to be lined up and they're going to have to go to the trop and play on turf, just like they had to do in Toronto and play on turf

where they're not good on turf and have their pitching not be organized and not have home field advantage. It was like played a huge factor. Maybe we turn Yankee Stadium into a turf stadium. You got to talk to Cunningham about that. What I've realized about your Yanks

and basically almost every single American League team is that everybody is flush with starting pitching and nobody has an offense. Seattle, flush with starting pitching. Boston, flush with starting pitching. The Tigers now all of a sudden have a bevy of starting pitchers going for them. Their offense is pretty suspect, can be okay. The twins leading the American League and runs is insane. It's the Dodgers effect. I mean, every free agent signed to the National League because they got to compete with the Dodgers. I mean, we saw that last, the two off seasons ago. Every big name signed in the National League.

and the American League is just not doing it. But where are the hitters? Where are the hitters right now? Because if you look at those teams that I just mentioned, I mean, the Mariners are supposed to have two or three guys and Naler, Raleigh, Julio, or Randy, but really it's been Randy a little bit of Julio. The other guys haven't hit.

Like, I just, it's such a weird year for offense. Well, maybe the answer's in the question. The hitters aren't performing because the pitchers are good. You're saying they're taking. It's math. It's not. Maybe the American. urgency is in there. The American League pitchers are too good. Or it could be the other way.

I don't know if I believe that. The other problem is I feel like the teams that hit can't pitch at all. Like your twins have somehow entered the playoff picture. The Houston Astros. I have a spot right now. In the picture, we're in. The Houston Astros could hit all year and Yordan's like going to win MVP right now, but they've been so horrific that I think it's just like, are they going to get on track? And is it even going to be a conversation like that or no? The only teams that have a full roster in the American League, I think if you looked across, starting pitching bullpen and offense is the race,

and sometimes the white socks. Their bullpen needs some help, but I think they do have guys there, but I actually like their starting pitching probably more than a lot of other people do. I think they can be a really complete team. I'm actually, have you guys faced them yet, the Yankees? Yes.

And what do you think? The white socks? Yeah. Murakami was hurt when we faced them. And I think we beat them easily. And Judge was out. I don't think it was a good representation of what they are. I remember they threw the ball around like crazy.

Like the Yankees did last year. And it's a three-game sample. Davis Martin had his like worst start of the year. Okay. That was recent. Yeah. Yeah. The starter.

Yeah, Davis, he was like no one had hit him in the Yankees just clobber him. So I'd think it's an unfair assessment. But I mean, and it just goes back to A.L. Versenno, which is one of, like, when we look back at this season, I'll save those kind of questions for Chris Rose. But when you look back at this season, it's been A.L. Versenal, like, we're talking about the White Sox right now. It's like, could they be the threat? That's crazy, by the way. And the National League, we're talking about the Dodgers, the Phillies, the Braves, the Brewers. It's just totally different leagues. If you have the name top three teams in all of baseball, like I'm not even sure you could do it, right? It's like one of those years. It's not. The Dodgers. After that, the Braves have been, I think it's the Dodgers and the Brewers and everybody else.

Braves? They've been struggling as a way. They've slowed. They're still good. Their offense is really stuttered without Ronald Coonnier Jr. So I really think it is Dodgers, Brewers, and everybody else, which is, you know, not what you really expect. And talk about two teams. You can make an argument at the top five teams. If you go Dodgers, Brewers, Cubs, Phillies, Braves versus the Yankees.

No, the rays are better than. They deserve. I mean, it's... The fact that the conversation is kind of shocking. I'm curious with the... Yankees get judging feedback. They're good. That's a good team.

But they need to trade Deval away. That's a big must for me. Because if he's on the team, Boone will use him. He can't handle pressure. We celebrated it a lot at the trade deadline. We didn't know. People think that clip is awesome because now we want him off the team,

but we celebrated getting him. I just knew we were getting a closer. That is a really hilarious video of you guys. Oh, dude, we just replaced Devin with Devin. It's crazy. The Brewers should take Doval, and he will be absolutely unbelievable for them. Send us someone. We talked about it.

The underlying numbers aren't that bad. Send us Gary. Send us Gary. Wow. Higgie. Would you do Doval for Gary straight up? I want Doval out. I don't need anything back, Treve.

I love that. He can't. Twins will take him. Because Boone will pitch him. The twins will take him. Boone uses all of his options all the time. You guys can have Alex Jackson. Duval in a big spot would like really, really, really, you can't do it.

Is there anything outside of Yankee land? Is there anything that has your attention or you're having fun with this baseball season or what's the, I guess what's the other part of your brain? I really like watching. I hope the Marlins keep going. I really like watching the Marlins. Peter Bendix. I like the way the Ray, I like.

Yeah. I like the way the Ray's Marlins, White Sox. I hope those teams don't fade out. And the Brewers, I hope they don't get destroyed. And the rays have power at the top. Then they have run creation at the bottom. The Marlins kind of, it could be wrong, but they have like run creation the whole way through.

Like not like pop. Like it's more. But I like bottom to the lineups that can make things happen. That's been my talking point all season long. Because so many times, especially when I go and I'm broadcasting the games and I see a team, it's like we went to to Boston

the bottom four hitters five hitters were outs outs like well that's Yankees if it's open Nickman wells it deflates everything it's crazy they're not even easy

they're not even hard outs so so the marlins to your point Jimmy there's 10 guys like that are getting actual like at bats right now like truly getting at bats every single one of them has an OPS 100 or OPS plus 100 or above

so they're putting out they're putting out real major league players. Joe. That was Toronto last year. That was Milwaukee last year. Yeah, Toronto's not that, by the way. But Toronto could bang too. They've been hurt.

People, uh, counter it. Kind of. Like, they've had, they've had, people missed, Peter's people straw argument or straw man, the argument where they're like, you know, the, like you still can strike out in here.

Like, obviously they just, you need balance. You need people to fight in a lineup. If you have a three true outcome approach, but you're not providing the one major outcome there of home runs, then you're awful. And that's the way Volpe, Wells, and McMahon on the Yankees take at bats. So when they're not hitting their home runs,

they're providing nothing. You cannot have those guys at the bottom. It's awful. You cannot have some guy that's trying to hit homers and is empty more often than not. The twins for all their, look, I'm happy they are where they're at. They're one game under 500 going into the.

break. They're in a playoff spot as of today, which is crazy. But their bottom part of their lineup, they at least put together really good at bats. Like they, it's just really hard because they don't get paid for that. They, they don't get more money in arbitration for that. You know what you get though? To be on a freaking big league roster and a chance to get paid. Kind of. Like Cabrero does it really well, but they still never give them at bats. You're going to love my stat, it turns out. Do you know I've been building a stat all you? year. What's the stat? I can't explain it now. It's like way too common. I'm going to do a whole video on it. But basically, thanks for bringing it up. Well, because I'm excited because I think you're going

to like it. Google, Google George Sistler when you get a chance. You won't come up. I had to buy the magazine. I had to buy the magazine. We totally glossed over that. Yeah, Trev got got from an old timers day guy. Mickey Rivers. He's, they, Mickey Rivers gets brought up on a yes broadcast once a month. Mickey Rivers were stealing two bags at 66 years old. Every old time. Every old timers day. So we, you know, I came across Bay. Baseball reference, I like, I want to do a show, but asking Robbie to help me out with this. And it's my fault, not his. But I want to go see how many days it takes to find myself on baseball reference.

It's been a thousand days or more already because I go there every single day. But then I take one person every day and I go into their reference page to look at them just to see who the hell they are. So I did Mickey Rivers. And apparently he's like famous. He is famous. He's like Reggie Jackson's like right-hand man. Yeah. Okay.

But anyway, the stat. Slugging percentage. It's like slugging percentage and non-base percentage. So it's got OPS mixed in there. But the bases are weighted differently. But if you ground, if you have a productive out, so if there's runners on first and second, you hit a ball to the right side,

you get out at first, runners move to second and third. It's not zero. You get points for that. And if you hit a single with bases loaded, you get more points than if you had a single, with no one on. So it is situational hitting.

Okay. And then base running. If you hit a single and steal, you get points the same as it getting a double. I didn't invent it. I found it in an old article. Interesting. So it's basically like buried media.

He's building on it. And I'm changing some of it. S plus. Yeah, that was an original joint venture. Yeah, because OPS plus stolen base, adding to your slugging percentage. This one's bizarre.

You couldn't take what baseball reference fan graphs, savant, any of them have and back it into this. So we've had to start just tracking it. And I've liked it because it's really good as a second stat. So if two guys have very similar OPSs like McMahon and Cabrero, then you can look at this stat and be like, how are they productive in the right moments? Are they productive with runners on? Are they productive? or hitting productive outs. And the difference between like those players,

like Wells and McMahon, Cabiero and Jazz is staggering. Interesting. Of like, okay, here's how much they're actually providing. It's actually like a baseball, like the game of baseball.

The game of baseball. Because the guy who made it was in, you wrote it in 1940. So like if you go first to third, if you go first to third, you get, you get the points for the extra. Any,

base you grab as a base runner that's more than what the hitter hit so you're on second they hit a single the batter gets credit for sending you to third but you get credit for third to home because you did that okay so you're not a rock so guys like jazz and cabiero who are lead to league and stolen bases provides like you it's more eye-opening how much you provide to your team where like we don't have a stat that does that okay and coming soon i'll show you a while I'll walk you through it afterwards. Any trade deadline thoughts before we kick you out? I don't want Scoobo to get traded.

If he does get traded, I'd like the Yankees to have him. But I would be 90%. I really don't want him to get traded. And I always like when guys stay on their team. I'd like the Tigers to, like that's my favorite thing is when you get a franchise player and you stay there. It doesn't happen often. But for baseball, I still like that.

What if he goes to the Brewers, though? That's cool. No, he doesn't fit with them. It's like CC2.0 Everyone's talking about. They can make Scoobel happen. Kyle Harrison. That's not their problem, by the way.

Although, they don't need pitching. This is a 75% real and 25% joke. Or flipped. The way Scoobles wobbling around the mound scares the hell out of me. The dude's not walking right. It's crazy. I feel like he's always done that.

No. No, because they're not in the trade deadline special. I'm not going to ruin anything, but maybe there were a few guardians trades that were thrown around. And one, I poo pooed quickly.

I love active trade deadlines. I like trades in the off season more than I like free agent signings. I just am a huge proponent of it. I think it gets both fan bases talking. It's super exciting. And so it's going to drive me nuts this year when there's 22 GMs that still are like, well, I think we're still in it. And I'm worried about the work stoppage and my bots won't let me spend any money.

Shut up. Wow. It's enough. Damn, he's talking to your people. I know. I'm serious. Like, let's go. Somebody, there's a few people out there that've got to figure out that you have zero chance of winning this thing, even though you're mathematically in it.

And there's a few people that are just kind of like, nah, I don't think so. Like, go get it. Go do something. Do something big. There are people to be had. I personally don't think Scoobel's going to move. I disagree with what Jimmy said. I think that he stays put in Detroit.

I think they add pieces because I think they're just like, screw it. We have a Tigers guy coming on soon. Okay, well. James Knair. Yeah, okay. Hi, James. I think they're still in it. I still think they have a chance to win the Central.

And I don't think that any team in the American League is so good, even when Judge returns to the Yankees that I think they're beatable. Agreed. That's it. Jimmy was just talking like when Judge comes back, it's just this magic pill. Obviously, he's very good. He's also going to be out for a long time. And, like, it's not an easy injury to come back from. Do I think Judge is going to be good?

Yes, 100%. But I don't think it magically fixes that lineup. I don't. No, but it's... Because, like, we need Ben Rice obviously going again. Yeah. They need him. Who is that?

That's insane. That's the worst. That's my 8.45 a.m. wake-up alarm. Excellent. Nice. Excellent. I think this whole entire Yankees team hinges on, is Ben Rice, will Ben Rice show up? Like in the playoffs, essentially.

Because we haven't mentioned Giancarlo Stan, who's been the Yankees best postseason player. He just got a fresh injury. How many, how many, what if he's DH? How many games does he play this?

But I'm, again, it's where we're comparing the American League teams here, where we're talking about Giancarlo Stan, who has shown in recent postseason what he can do. Cody Bellinger, still on the team. I love Cody Bellin. Yeah. Ben Rice is, if Ben Rice looked like Giancarlo Stan, we'd talk about him a lot more on these shows. It's absolutely true. What does it even mean? He looks like one of the Twin Stripe reporters, which I don't know if you guys are going to get that right first, but he does. Um, like, I genuinely do. He has the same numbers.

He has the same numbers as Kurtz. He has the same numbers as like Yorda. I think he's legit. I think he's legit. We've talked about this. Late bloomer, love at Dartmouth. Smart guy. Nice.

They make a ton of content. I thought that they were 27. They were just little people. These guys are strolling in it. I did. I thought they were midgets. I saw him from a distance. There they are together. Yes. There they are. He's not one of them. Yes.

That's crazy. That's crazy. That is funny. How do we get here? All right. Okay. Before I get out of here, did you, uh, Robbie? What was that a question that was building up? You mentioned all the I said those are all the teams that should go get help. Oh, okay. So I'm leaving on the outside. Do you mention the twins? No, I didn't mention the twins. I didn't mention the white socks. Uh, because here's why. It's I think particularly in the same. I think particularly in the same, in the White Sox. And since their success came so fast this year that they have to kind of ride it out with what they've got and then at the end of the year truly evaluate where they're soft spots.

Why? Because they have so much to fix pitching-wise that I don't think they can get to. Yes, they do not. Why does everyone say that? If you watch these guys fucking throw the ball, they're good. They're good, in my opinion, against, they had a great run in June where they played a bunch of really good teams. Great. You can say, do they need to,

are they like a finished product? No, obviously, but why does that mean stand pat at the deadline in the weakest AL we've ever known? I know, but I don't think they... That's insane to say that they're in first. I think they have to revamp virtually, not their entire bullpen, but they have to add like

three or four. Two guys. I think more than that. Everyone has to do that. There's two teams that like their bullpen. You don't even like your bullpen. pin? I think it's okay. I think it's okay.

The White Sox are like seriously one of my like dark horses to run the table in the playoffs. They're super fun to watch. Super fun to watch. I think their offense is great. Yeah, that's why. I think they have enough pitching. I truly do.

I've got to get that. One more thing out of you because we got a lot of AL there. I guess NL outside of the Dodgers, is there a team that jumps out to you? Is it like the Phillies high end? Yeah, I think. I don't know how the Phillies can trade for more because I think, first of all, their bullpen has been pretty atrocious in July and particularly from the left side they're hurting. Alvarado, Tanner Banks.

Matt Strom, no good. Okay. Probably not salt. Yeah, I think that there's probably some left-handers that could come help them out. But I mean, look at how much ground they've made up in a short amount of time. Pitching's been great. Now, here's the thing. When they've gotten to October, the bugaboo the last few years has been their inability to lay off pitches outside of the zone.

the only thing that's really kind of keeping me afloat is the fact that Mike Trout is having a great year. There are some great, there are some players that are having good seasons. Zach Netto has been really good. I thought, I mean, you know, this kind of normally happens, but Colson Montgomery was an all-star stub. Zach Netto has had very similar, if not better numbers than Colson this year. Although, what's going on with Zach Netto and I'm forgetting the name right now? former manager that's like does like pre and post for you guys he's a manager of the Mets for a little bit oh Bobby Mellon. Why is he talking so much smack about Zach Netto? What happened?

So when the Tigers were bad, their whole team died at the same time. You lost your starting center fielder, Parker Meadows, who's still out. Javier Baez, Glaver Torres. That's a big part of your offense right there. You lost your entire pitching stand. Scoobled down, lies down, clarity down. But now they're all back. Troy Melton comes back, which when I first got hired at this company,

one of like my bold takes was that Troy Melton was eventually going to become one of the better pitchers in baseball. And a lot of people kind of laughed at me. No, that's crazy. Troy Melton's been fantastic. And now he's like kind of the man. Troy Melton's been fantastic. You get points for that.

And then as a Tigers fan, let me ask you guys something. Okay. And the last 10 trade deadlines, do you know how many times the Tigers have bought as a team? You know, you'd be surprised to hear I don't have that on me. Yeah, right. The last 10 trade deadlines are they were horrific for, eight years.

Sure. I'm not saying they were wrong to sell. They were right. They bought once. I was saying last year they didn't buy. They bought last year. Who did they buy?

be a fan. So as a Tigers fan, it's been so frustrating and so annoying for 10 years to see you trading away your favorite players, being out of it every deadline instead of going for it. And obviously, there's been a lot of talk. I heard you guys talk a lot about Scoob and what they should do. I think it's crazy not to hang on to them. I think you go to the fan base. I think you still have such a good chance. They weren't going to, by the way, until they went on this. Is there any reaction to the next couple weeks. Because, dude, if they come out of the break and they throw up a three and seven, it's over. For sure. Okay. I think it... No, three, dude, this A.O. is so close. How far back

Like, one player, you know, out of 10 trades is, or probably less than that, is a junior Camerre, or a Fernando Tatis Jr. And all these things that we, you know, those are the scary moments. But dude, I think when we run our team, I ain't trading. I'm not trading.

How many guys did you play or see in the minor leagues that you saw them and you're like, oh shit, and then they were that guy? They were that guy?

Yeah. I mean, I remember seeing Pedro Alvarez and Justin Smok and thinking these guys were the next coming. Right. No, that's a great point. That's a great point. Yes, but were they? Junior Camerrano. No, they weren't.

Glove. You could just tell. He still's different to this day. His like wrist moved differently. It's incredible. Yeah, I mean, but on the flip side of that, Mitch Enertson, my first year, my first year, the Appie League. In however many games you play, 60-something games, had 30 homers.

David Winfrey, still a friend of mine, was the low-A, like MVP, this guy like 30 and 100, and like it didn't work out for him. Like there's a lot of these guys that you see, whether it's injuries or just don't get the opportunity, it's so hard. I think it's getting easier now for these guys because of the Trackman 3. Our scouting's getting a little better. Scouting is a little bit better, but I don't know. I get it.

So funny enough, I think the bullpen has been obviously the weak part of the team, which coming into the season I thought was the strength. I would have ranked it bullpen starting pitch and offense. Javier's, as much as me and that guy have had our battles as he's been a Tigers fan, in the Tigers organization, he will help lengthen this lineup as well. So I think we need a right-handed bat. Starting pitching is obviously good. And going back to, like, guys coming back off the IL, you talk about rattling off wins, you start noticing, you go like scubal, K.C. Myis has been unbelievable. You go melting.

The rotation's back. Valdez has started to turn it around after his like so-so start. And even Jack Flaherty, your guy. He's had a couple good starts. They have five years. All the sudden, it's like, all the sudden that you go from. Don't forget my guy. You didn't say him.

Catermont, thank you. Who they moved to the bullpen, which strengthens the bullpen. But if they need to start, where are they going? But I'm just saying like, again, you go through that. I just wonder what his career would be like if he only has, like, what, those nine at bats in the playoffs or six at bats or whatever it is. There's a lot of guys that never did anything. I guess, sure. But I don't know if they're all in the same realm of, like, a trout. Name some guys who didn't win a World Series, Cowherpkin Jr. Didn't win, but they play in the playoffs. How many of bats do those guys have? Barry Larkin. We can say Dom Manorley. He went to the playoffs, though, and he made an impact. For something. It is. That's the whole reason, though, is because we didn't think there was going to be anybody that, in our generation, that would rival Mike Trout on the impact that he had on the kids.

Just the, like, he was, like, our player growing up. He was the best. And all of a sudden, Aaron Judge is here. Shoaheotani is obviously here. Silva. And I don't know. Does Aaron Judge have the stats that overtake Trout? Like at the end of his career, yeah.

I think if you do that seven-year stuff that they like to do, I think that's pretty. That's crazy, man. Church has been really good. I know he has been. I know it. It's crazy to think that because I didn't think anybody was going to. Trout's awesome, though. Tartroth was awesome.

And then Shohay's just in a totally different world. He's a totally different world, man. Because he's literally completely different. I look at Trout, like, the way I looked at Griffey for, like, 10 years. Yeah. So, like, Griffey in the 90s for the 10 years. The difference of Griffey is that he killed people everywhere in the playoffs. You know, like, people were afraid of facing Ken Griffey Jr.

Guess who's getting the nod tomorrow. That's cool. you know, I love the guy. So he's awesome. He told me a World Baseball Classic. He was like that his goal was to win the Sye Young this year and Paul Skeen's better get ready. Hell, yeah.

But he did say those words. But I don't know if he anticipated all of those pitchers to just go off like that. And I know. You guys were talking earlier about, oh, maybe the pitching is really good because the hitting, you know, that's what Jimmy was saying. The hitting is bad because the pitching is good. I mean, what's the excuse in the National League? Right.

Like, the pitching is good. It's one of the best signs. They're hitting good. The NL teams are just so much better. The NL East has the Braves. It has the highest scoring offense and all the baseball in the national. So, yeah, Chris Per Sanchez is an absolute step. Yes.

And just to see his growth and what he's been doing with that and the change up. And I've always been a lot of people like, you know, like the yackers. and the heater. I've always been a change-up guy. I love change-up. Johan Santana made me fall in love with the change-up. So the Pedro and, like, seeing people just be able to continue doing that. Because you could get right, these lefties out with that.

I love Christopher Sanchez. What about Troy Hellixon? Sure. Sure. Someone asked me, like, earlier today, they're like, what's the biggest jump besides, like, AAA the Big Vies? I said, well, amateur to pro ball. The first year you get there.

It's insane to jump. and one of the reasons is the Latino dudes you don't play against them and man I have like so much respect for I mean it's obviously a million different countries that were grouping into one

but the level of baseball and we now it's like everyone knows like all the best players right now are Latino man or we have one Japanese outlier a couple of them I guess but like it's so I don't know it's so cool and they're so

damn good at baseball, man. Yeah, and it's just the way that they're raised, and there's two different things, and we're in World Cup season right now, right? And a lot of people wonder, why is it that the U.S. can't develop

a good soccer team? And it's because of the way that they have, like, these farms to build players internationally for those countries. That's the same thing with baseball, a little bit. Now, soccer's a little bit more paid of play. here you could just find different ball fields and there's so many more programs here for baseball

but in dominican republic there's literal farms in many different places where people can go and train same thing with venezuela same thing with like all 30 teams have some sort of imprint in the country and everybody understands like okay we got to go over there we train and they start training at 13 i'm afraid of like the cba because they're you're talking about 18 bro and to go to 18, there's the impactful age for those kids in those countries are from that age of

11, 12, 13, 14 where they really have nothing and the lot gets determined there. And if you're moving the age back to 18 versus 16, those kids are getting scouted now later. Which means they're developing and training later because teams are going to want to

invest in them later. So you may lose a lot of kids. Like you don't get a Soto you know people like Kaminero you don't get I mean there's a there's a slew of players

that you just don't get if you just move it back just at that age right so I'm nervous about that it's just a device if they'll never happen I hope not I really do or draft unfortunately

it's just it's one of I don't want to say one of the smaller negotiating chips but a lot of the stuff they're about to fight over. They're treating it that way. You're right. It shouldn't get messed up. Like, I think they're just dangling it as distraction

right now. But yeah, man, they also they got to clean it up because some of the stuff down. I can't I'm not the guy to be talking about. Right. But like, dude, it's they got to do something. There's a lot of taking advantage of a lot of these kids. Also, you know, we'll front you this money. If when you get your

contract, you give me this and it's like a big percentage away. So there's a lot of like exploitation of those kids, which that makes me sad and stuff that you found out about World Baseball Classic and even in the Dominican League a lot about also. So it's something baseball has to clean up, but a lot of it is like their own doing. You know, like you once they put and they had to do it because they felt, you know, that they needed some kind of competitive balance. But once you put caps on what teams can spend, boy, everybody knew, okay, this is the

pot. Yeah. And we all need to get this money. At the end of the day, that musical chair number, it's like, we're done after that. Like, we're done for this round. And then if they go to a draft, it's going to be tough too because now you got slot money for those international kids. And that's a whole other thing.

So, yeah, I love being here. I love All-Star because these guys that went through all that are now here. They're all-stars. They're one of the best. and they're, I mean, Killer Cameronero's up there speaking with Jeff Passon in his English, in English Latin. Oh, it's cool to see. Right?

I don't think they're pitching is like anything. They're not. They're right there. But I don't believe in they're pitching at all, right? Like, they've had so many holes. Well, to that point, they need to go. go either way. Right. Like you don't have the horses. Go one way or the other. But you're in it, do something. But if you're going to sell it, sell big, and I think a big chip that they have

there, I don't know if they'll do Alvarez or not, but I think one guy, a lot of people don't mention, has a year left after this. Jeremy Pena. What are you going to do with that? They've let a lot of guys walk before. Right. So it's like, you're going to let them walk and now you get nothing. And then now we have the Angels Camerro situation. what are we doing probably where do you want them I mean let's think about what teams need a shortstop right and all roads lead back

to the Bronx I'd love them but of course I'd love them so I'd look around the league for these kind of guys the Braves also need a shortstop a lot of teams could use the main pain yeah a couple of teams could use the shortstop and I think Yankees might get out of bad because they probably feel shortstop's not a problem
