Hello and welcome to talking baseball.
It's the final recap app of the year.
A lot to be decided.
The ALS are the Phillies gonna, there's no way, right?
Right?
Let's talk ball.
Your guy's shelphy?
Steve Carlton.
Oh, Andre the Hawk Dawson.
Foul ball.
Hall of Famers, legends.
That's what today is.
because talking baseball is presented by Fanatic Sports and Casino
if you're locking in your baseball bets.
Fanatic Sports and Casino, it's the place to do it.
Winning hits different here.
I am Jake the Groggy Frog Story Ellie.
That is Trevor the Toad Plouf.
We are here on the final recap episode.
Bob Seraco producing Bobby Golfs.
Don't feeling not listed,
but also putting together maybe his best sheet of the year, Trev.
Because it's that time of year,
pie we're here.
Dalt's nervous, coach.
Deltz nervous got a big series down in San Diego.
We thought it wasn't going to mean anything because the Padres are in the playoffs,
but turns out Philly don't want it.
If you're into percentages, which Trev is not,
Fangraps has the dimebacks at 11%, which,
hey, that's a low number,
but also we're coming from about five days ago where it felt like zero percent.
We did our, or even two days ago, we did our playoff preview and Dalton it listed snakes,
which maybe that's a little sports fandom of a little fade the fade there.
But snakes alive, coach.
Am I like the only person at our company that roots for like a team that does make the playoffs?
Me, Swilly and Jolly.
Like that's, I should, we should just have a sad dinner crew.
Jimmy Norp, the Norpe, the Norpedo.
Yeah, but they made the playoffs last two years.
Oh, you're doing that.
And then, yeah.
Yeah, they are down bad, aren't they?
Norp, come over to our table.
Down real bad.
And I actually, Trev, I'll leak this to you and nobody else.
Nobody listens to this.
Thank you, everyone.
Number one baseball show in the world.
I just kind of realized I saw a picture of Jimmy Norp.
Know how we've seen some of our employees glow up.
I think next year is Jimmy Norp's year.
I look.
he's got like a little extra lettuce and the facial ears coming in a little better like
I think he's going to find something look I am not putting jimmy norp down I think he looks
great already yes who he is and I think that's the issue here glow up is like you got to like
want to glow up I don't think he's looking for that once you get a taste look at zo man once it happens
those shoulders got big and then all of a sudden he was like a man and then like
Jolly is very intentional with all his looks and what he says.
I'm just a drummer.
I drum.
We didn't need this.
A little drummer boy.
All right.
Hey, it's almost October.
No, that is not the look.
That is, I will say this.
Know how sometimes you'll see an Instagram post of young, like, stars, and it'll be like,
this is Brad Pitt when he was 19.
Jimmy Norp has a little of that.
He's just like 23, 24.
He's got Brad Pitt.
Not Brad Pitt, dude.
Okay, we've lost the plot.
It's playoff baseball.
Let's get into it.
It's playoff baseball.
There are series that do not matter,
and we will not talk about them,
and you're probably not even listening,
because your team is DED dead.
But because it is Froggy Friday,
let's do some National League baseball.
And it starts out in the United States.
In the Illadelf, the Milwaukee Brewers, okay, their season's done, right?
They've clinched, they're good.
And Philly comes out a three-run eighth inning.
Bryson Stott with the two-run single.
Zach Wheeler strikes out his first seven batters of the game.
But after that, Terang and Yelly, my guy and your guy?
And then the rubber match, the deciding game, a three-run eighth breaks it open for Milwaukee.
their 100th win on the season.
They ain't never done that before.
And Philly putting themselves in an interesting position.
The Padres take two out of three from the Dodgers
after dropping that first game on Mike King Day.
They bounce back Machado clips Yamamoto.
Holy smokes.
And then the Padres, they clinch a three-run seventh inning.
You know Dustin Harris was involved.
They outlouse Glassnow.
may be pitching as good as he has ever pitched in a Dodgers uniform, at least.
Mason Miller good.
The Arizona Diamondback swept the Colorado Rockies, and that's obvious.
Is it too little too late?
Gabrielle Moreno having a season.
MVP 3?
MVP 2?
We'll figure all that out.
But snakes, Nolan Aeronado, my friend, with a couple big swings.
by the way our social media team like doxing me and Nolan didn't need that talk about being uncool crazy how do they get how do they get the DMs bro
I'm a fake person now the Marlins took two out of three from the Cubbies they win the first two
Javier Sanoha in 12 innings how do you like that I love it um they win the first two games the cubs clinch on that
final game and Ian Hap is cooler than Treff and it it stinks it stings throwing money and balls in
the crowd pop I know you guys are you guys are kind of Spider-Man meme uh he's just got I'm not
gonna say it cubs are going dancing the Reds and the Braves played did you know um
the Reds won the bread games uh they've got some interesting guys they've called up in that
are playing I don't have full scouting report
on Carlos Jorge.
Well, let's see him.
And he hit a homer.
Ellie de la Cruz, one steal away from 30-30.
Nobody talking about that,
because everyone's talking about Pete's 40-40.
And that's sick.
And Rob, we're playing that clip
because Boog and the Cubs fans crush that.
And that's basically a Reds highlight.
Braves, we'll see it.
We don't know who's going to visit you in a couple days.
We'll find out soon.
Pirates take two out of three from the Cardinals.
Sadly doesn't matter.
Jared Jones, great.
The Pirates, rookies.
dress like Michael Jackson will bring up that picture because I don't really know what to do with it.
And what would NL baseball be without the Minnesota Twins and the San Francisco Giants?
Drew Gilbert choking a couple out.
Walker Jenkins has a big neck.
That's what happened in the National League.
Luke Kishaw also has a thick neck.
I don't think we ever talked about that.
Not nearly enough.
And I think Drew Gilbert's from Minnesota.
So there's a lot of ties there.
Really?
The Arnottos not your friend anymore.
They put your DM out on blast.
That is crazy, dude.
Nuts.
A Hall of Famer.
You know who runs our social media.
Hall of Famer.
The worst umpire in Warehouse history.
Oh, shit.
It's funny.
I was kind of like,
you know what it was?
So the people appreciate this.
I saw, I opened up my Instagram
to see Jordan Lawler,
liked one of my Instagram.
post and I was like oh this is sick
and I was like wait which post was it and it's like
Nolan Aronado friended me
I was like fuck god damn it
not
I'm not cool and that's fine
no not at all I figured that out
you listen I got the standings pop but I guess we kind of need them
need them big time trust
like you got to lock in bro
the biggest part here
and you just read the NL so I'll go
with it
I'm still going to read the division standings I guess
Atlanta won the NL East people.
I don't know if you knew that.
They're 93 and 66.
Philadelphia holding on for dear mother effing life, 87 and 72.
None of you other guys get mentioned.
Sorry.
The Milwaukee Brewers, they won the NL Central.
They won 100 games.
You mentioned first time in franchise history doing that.
159 is the record.
The Cubs 88 and 71.
They clinched.
The Seia Suzuki, Spir.
praying champagne, his face meme is going everywhere.
A big win for Japan the past couple days.
We'll talk about that.
They've been crushed.
They love America.
Yes, so do you.
Yeah, that's Smooney.
That's our guy.
But that's also, gosh, I'm forgetting his name right now.
Is that a Kawasaki phrase?
Maybe.
Yeah, the Blue Jays infield.
We'll circle up on that.
We need to figure that out.
Oh, the Cubs, 88 and 71 mention that.
Pirates, I'll mention you.
81 and 78, you're back.
I think you're guaranteed a 500 or better season with my math.
Great.
I'm in for that, dude.
Pittsburgh Pirates, don't shun that.
This is the elitist vibe you're giving up.
I don't like it today.
Have them play for the A.L. West, and I'll root pirates.
Stop. I'm so, I'm so sick of you, and I'm sick of whatever.
The NL. West.
Dodgers won it, 97 and 62, Padres, 89 and 70.
Arizona, 85 and 74, they're still fighting for their playoff life,
which gets me to the wild card.
The Padres right now will have the number one wild cards.
That would mean they would host a wild card series.
They're a game up on the Cubs, who are a game up on the Phillies,
who are two games up on the Diamondback.
So the situation would be right now.
Again, Padres Club, Cubs, clinched.
They're in.
Phillies, they just like, if they win two out of three,
they control their own destiny.
If they win two out of three, they are in the dance.
They are playing the Tampa Bay race.
Arizona needs to sweep.
They do hold the tiebreaker against the Phillies.
They need to sweep in Philly,
and they need Philly to win only one of the last three games.
And that way they would get in and Philly would get out.
And I don't know what would happen in the baseball world
because we'd have the Blue Jays, the Mariners,
and the Phillies and the Mets all out of the playoffs.
These were all teams that were supposed to go deep this year.
They're not.
Those are the standings in the National League.
I'm exhausted.
Well done.
Trev.
Well done.

Yeah, man, that was Philadelphia.
You know, Shelfi was at the Yankees game last night.
We were frogging in the bleachers, obviously.
And yeah, I mean, there's a little bit of fear right now.
And for me, I guess tonight's just the night.
Like, because a two-game magic number, like you mentioned,
if the Phillies win two, they're fine.
if the D-backs lose one and the Phillies win one.
So, like, again, the odds are really still good for Philly,
and it could get washed away tonight.
Like, San Diego is still trying to play winning baseball
because they want that home field in the wild card.
So it's not like the snakes are just going to roll in there
and face quadruple-A players or anything like that.
But tonight's, if the snakes win tonight and the Phillies lose,
I feel like the pressure, the D-Backs momentum is out of this world.
and Philly's pressure starts to stack up that tonight's the night I'm watching that if it goes
that way then I don't know here's what I'll say I think as far as like who's trying and who's
not trying okay Tampa Bay Rays are set they have the one seed they have the buy they don't
need to do anything they're going to get their guys work I think there'll be there'll be a
rotation of their bullpen and I don't think it's like high leverage guys
are pitching in high leverage situations.
That's what I will say about that.
I think it's going to be, let's make sure you're getting your X amount of pitches in.
We're just resting up getting everyone healthy.
Padres, I think, are kind of the same way.
I don't think we'll see Mason Miller in Morohoan
and the guy's super high leverage guys pitch back-to-back games.
I just don't think that's going to happen.
So those, you know, there are some circumstances surrounding these series
that'll be interesting to watch.
But yes, Phillies just need to take care of business.
and the dimebacks need to, they need to win out, essentially.
Trevor, I'll tell you what, with Tampa,
I think you're right with San Diego, like, just looking at it,
like Mason Miller pitch back-to-back nights.
Like, you need to, you got to prioritize that guy over everything.
Tampa, you're going to have the wild card off.
And, like, sometimes that can work against you when you're playing a good team.
When, you know, in years past, it would have been like,
okay, they're going to call up this guy on the 40 man and he's going to sling it for three innings.
like, okay, Brian Baker needs to get work.
Yeah, they're going to get work.
They're going to get scheduled work.
In a way, that can work against you.
Like, you could be, you're like, wait, why the hell is he in the game right now?
That I don't know.
If you're Philly, I think you wish it wasn't Tampa.
Arizona and the snakes, that could get really interesting.
The whole thing is bizarre, and it's delightful.
Let's chew through it, and we'll start with Philly because I hope they're not the story.
And as of Tuesday night, it looked like they're.
weren't going to be because they win that one.
Wheeler looks incredible that, again, when we do our playoff preview,
we're like, this is the most tantalizing team because they have some of the nastiest
starting pitching we've ever seen.
They have some of the best elite talent at the top of the lineup when it's working.
And then they lose a couple.
The final two games of the series, they lose the last one late.
A rise goes down with a weird one late, trying to avoid a tag.
So as things are getting dark, you're just wondering.
Lizardo through a bullpen.
He hasn't been ruled out, but they're not sure what they're going to do with him.
I don't know.
I mean, we've been spiraling about the whole thing that, again,
Philly should still get this done.
Like, percentages are percentages, but it's 90%.
They still get into the dance and all this conversation could be null after tonight.
If they win and the debacks lose.
But, man, it's a town in a city where you can't let that linger or happen.
Yeah, I mean, look, this one to me,
Big things that happen.
Yes, Luis Reyes gets injured.
I believe x-rays were negative.
They're hoping for the best case scenario.
We'll see how that goes.
Do I think he...
Yeah, I guess I don't know what's going to happen with the Reese Rice.
We'll see.
That's obviously a massive...
That's a massive situation going on in Philadelphia,
on top of them still having to win these games.
But what this showed me was,
look, Phillies...
These are essentially playoff games for Phillies.
and Milwaukee just goes in and methodically dismembers them,
dismantles them, if you will.
My God.
That looks a little weird.
Holy smokes.
Like a little Dexter right.
Dexter was such a good show.
Ooh, never watch.
I got to watch that.
That's insane.
I know.
You got to watch that.
I know.
Stop after season four.
Okay.
There was a couple seasons that are like phenomenal.
Yeah.
One of our buddies who's a little off his rocker,
he started watching Dexter and then he started wearing Dexter shirts
and we're like, okay, pal, why don't you?
Yeah, like, there's a code.
Dexter has a code.
I know, so I've heard about that.
Anyways.
Yeah, so methodically, they go in and they take care of business and the questions we have
about the brewers, okay, were they going to hit homers?
Like, yeah, dude, they got guys little hit homers.
Now, do they have a 40 homer guy?
No, but Terang hits one, Yelly hits one.
Trio hits one.
Like, they're getting into the swing of things.
I feel like, man, they just, they feel different.
They're actually texted Yelly and I was, hey, man, look, I just,
really enjoyed watching you
and the kind of the role that you're in
these guys look up to you so much.
I'm rooting for you in the playoffs
and we had a nice little discussion about it
but it feels like
this team is a more like
mature version of the brewers
that we've seen in the past
but they aren't satisfied
with a hundred win season like that
I think they don't care about that at all.
Are they happy they did it?
Yeah, I think they expected to be really good this year.
And now it's,
it's just a different vibe going into the playoffs for these brewers.
They want to win the World Series.
Not that they didn't want to before,
but I think it's a different mentality for them this year.
And you kind of see how they're constructed,
and they play great defense.
And I think the thing that's overlooked more than anything with the brewers
is the back end of their bullpen, the guys they can throw out there.
We talk about a lot of other teams,
but when you get 7, 8, 9,
they have guys that are going to come in and shut the door.
If I'm picking a postseason favorite right now,
it's the Brewers, over the Dodgers.
It's interesting.
Their team stats on the year are crazy.
Don't clip that either.
Social team.
Clip my DMs, keep Trev's baseball takes off the internet.
No, I know what you're saying.
I think, again, A, it's a ton of good ball players.
B, the pitching advantage that whatever the hell they do there is crazy.
But, Trev, the root of what you're talking about,
I feel a lot of Pat Murphy and that, man.
I know we don't know what to do,
but they had that amazing season last year,
and then on the highest stage, they got dunked on.
That, man, all of us know how Pat Murphy talks,
and we know it's a little show.
It's the guys obviously love and respect Pat
Murphy did the umpteenth degree.
But the way he's talked to them,
I would guess for over a calendar year has been like,
well, guess what?
We can run the whole thing next year.
When it gets to October, we need to be better.
And they have gotten better that, yeah,
their first couple playoff games are going to be,
well, obviously it's all going to be must watch.
I'll be very interested to see.
Like, dude, if they can get out of the wagon
and win their first two games in like Brewersy stock,
like 6-1 wins and it feels like they're just putting the clamps on you.
Like that team might have a confidence that you just can't pop.
I do wonder if they have a late game postseason
what the hell game and they start looking around.
Like, wait, it's a five-game set.
I don't know.
We don't have to do any of that now.
The Brewers look fantastic.
And the Phillies, God, tonight is a game.
They've lost 12 of their last 20.
mentioned the arise injury
and hey again all this conversation
can almost instantly go away
and it can be exciting stuff
it can be like yo Andrew Painter's happening
and what could he be for them
like as we all look for your special
breakout postseason arm
could that be the guy
that there's still a lot there
all of our nerves can go away
with basically one and a half swings
but crazy that it's still a conversation
crazy
Padres Dodgers, they teed it up.
And by the way, if you heard Trev Standings, right now,
if there was a wild car game,
one of them would be played in San Diego,
which how much that has changed since about September 3rd.
And it's been awesome watching all the celebrations.
We highlighted all the Japanese guys who are losing their mind.
Shoda just pouring beers on himself.
Mune is living like, it feels like a 90s
Chris Farley movie or something where he's just like, I am Japanese.
You're just like, my God.
Guys having the time of his life.
And I love it.
I love it.
The Padres, oh, their celebration, our new favorite owner in the sport,
she's in the building and she's like, she's given like a hell yeah after every
stamina line.
I was like, this Padres team, they're on another planet right now.
They clinch a playoff spot.
I guess, Trev, we're doing a lot of.
big picture stuff because it's that time of year.
I'll tell you what jumped out to me.
A confident Ethan Salas
taken at bats in this series.
I'm curious to see
what they do with their catching spot.
He had, yeah, big challenges
and that show Hey, O'Tani about a lot of people
have been talking about that.
He played only like 20 games at AAA,
and he had some spring training with it,
but not a lot of time with ABS.
So I think that's, you know,
something to watch for, I'm just,
you know, I'm just like very,
intrigued with like ABS and what catchers do.
But yeah, looking good, confident at the plate.
Again, we will see what happens,
who they're going to run out there in the playoffs.
But I just think about that.
That to me gives like world series documentary vibes.
Like a 20-year-old catcher came up and, you know,
took it over.
Like, look out, dude.
Like I want to see him in a big bat in the playoffs.
That'd be a lot of fun.
They came in rolling in this series.
I believe they won 13 to 14.
Get bit by the Dodgers.
Michael King doesn't have it.
It would lose 7-0-0 first game.
And then they take care of business in the next two games.
You mentioned Machado.
He's been going.
They've been one of the better offenses since July.
It's fun to see him.
I noticed Machado's like tattoo when he was naked in the clubhouse yesterday.
Sky's the limit.
Is that what it says on the back?
I would ask you, pal.
I mean, I've never showered with the guy.
I haven't either.
Wouldn't hate it.
You know how I feel about that.
Miami, raise up.
And then, you know, getting that last game,
getting no hit into the six.
Look, there he is.
There's my guy, Chodd's.
Look at that.
What's going on right now?
That guy's had a lot of good nights.
That's what I say.
What are those glasses?
That looks like he's like,
this is a rave.
And there's, you know, what's that show you always go to,
Riza?
I've attended a lot of res concerts.
Res is a slightly different beat than that, but I don't know if it is.
Riza, Riza for sure is.
What am I supposed to say about this?
Padre has got the job done.
Walker Bieler's doing beer bongs on the field.
That's a lot of fun.
I want them to host a playoff series.
I think that would be cool for them to have the wild card set there.
As of today, they would.
They are up.
The Cubs do have the tiebreaker.
fighting for the four or five.
So that's another crazy, interesting to watch the next couple days.
Can the Cubs catch up to them while the Padres are facing the snakes who are trying to sneak into this whole thing?
And yeah, I don't know.
Really cool for San Diego.
A couple of the other fun facts.
I mean, they were three games below 500 on July 24th, the 11th team in the National League.
That's wild.
And then they picked it up, like right before the trade deadline, which they go eight and one.
before the trade deadline.
If they didn't, how would that have changed things?
And how would that have affected their season?
It's crazy.
Fernando Tateas didn't hit his first homer until, what, the end of May?
Nuts.
He's got 25.
And by the other thing, some teams, we've talked about front office and player dynamics,
how we don't know, have it figured out.
And, hey, again, the Boston's were, Boston was the bad example and now they're the good example.
But Tatea's celebration interview, like the love he gave to A.J. Preller,
And again, we're very friendly with Ryan Cohn who, like,
Ryan Cohn is, like, part of their front office
because he's, like, the Padreys number one fan
that he has a relationship with AJ Prel.
Like, that organization cares and, like, the stuff between talking to your players
and, like, we've heard about front offices doing things the wrong way.
I think the Padres do things the right way
when it's communicating with players and how they get it done.
And, you know, if you play the best baseball,
Basically going back to July 24th, that helps.
And I do wonder if the Dodgers are shrugging at this
and their biggest takeaway is like, hey, we got guys back off the aisle.
Shohei's playing ball again.
Glassnow looks amazing.
Everyone's back.
Dude, Glassnow's 12 to 6 curveball.
Nasty.
Nasty work.
I mean, he is, yeah, I mean, looking at him on the mound,
you, that's like,
what you want your pitcher to look like
right there. In a lot
of way. I want
the world would be a better place if everyone looked like
Tyler Glass now. Avatar-ish.
Dave Roberts quote, I think we've seen many
times over that the regular season
the win loss really doesn't project what the
postseason will look like. And I agree.
A lot of people hating on the
AL West. Oh my God, they're going to
be in the playoffs with a 500 record.
I'm like, dude, who gives a shit,
dude? Sorry,
you're in a division. Go do what you got to do.
make the playoffs. That's what matters.
Dodgers.
It's not fair, though.
Is life fair?
Oh, no.
Sure ain't.
It ain't.
Put the work in.
Be quiet.
Dodgers, after winning the second game,
were 15 and 5 in September.
So it's not like we're really limping over here.
Who do they finish it?
They finished with the Giants,
Scoobel, Snell, and Robleski.
They're locked into the two-seed.
DePaula got sent down,
Dalton rushing.
Well, they sent him down to be
eligible for the postseason because you still have to be down for 10 days.
And now he has to get the commissioner's exemption, which I guess they do every single year.
They just have to have a guy on the 60, which they do.
But have you seen what they're talking about?
I believe it was J.J. Cooper, the guy he writes for baseball America,
talking about his defense and how bad it is.
And he's really only a D.H.
show I don't know what his postseason, the postseason plan is for him.
If he's on the roster, is he just a pinch hitter?
Like, Shohay's your DH.
I don't think you trust him out there in the outfield.
According to all of this, Dodgers fans let me know.
It's like really bad.
I watched some of the clips and it's like, oh my gosh.
So we'll see.
Roster stuff is fun.
A good reminder.
We used to say it a lot more.
You guys know your team better than us.
Like, I know going to the Yankees game last night, talking in-depth wild card,
are they going to keep 10 pitchers and that stuff?
Like Dodger fans, I won't even pretend.
Like, you guys know your 13-13 split or however you're going to do that roster better than I would.
It's going to be interesting when it drops.
And the other thing, I know we have, we've been doing a lot of bracket watch.
Currently on that side, it feels like it's going to stay or no.
With the Dodgers with the two, right now it would be Atlanta.
in Philadelphia, that the winner of that would go on to face the Dodgers,
which those have been the traditional powers in the NL.
And you want, if the Cubs have a bad weekend, do they slide back?
Boogity, boogity, boogity.
The other one, we gave the D-back some love.
Again, I don't know, in a way I don't know what to say.
They've had to win pretty much every game and they're doing it.
they did face the Colorado Rockies, but man, they, snakes alive.
That being a thing for that franchise is really funny.
And there was something when you open up and you're watching the games and you're like,
okay, can they sweep Colorado?
And they go up a 6-0 in the first inning and Gabby goes yard and Nolan goes yard.
And you're just like, these guys are playing possessed right now.
And I hope it matters.
Like I'm sorry to Philly's fans,
but if they do this and they end up in the dance,
like that's a team that's playing with like higher powers on their side.
It's incredible.
Gabby Moreno, you know, we get a lot of Gabby Moreno in our group chat
because Dalton Filly is constantly talking about.
And for good reason, I did not have him hitting 308 on the year.
He's two points away right now from Luis Raiz.
He's probably not going to play.
in the regular season, I had to guess.
So Gabby, get hot and win a batting title.
Catchers winning batting titles is like, let's go.
It doesn't happen very often.
Joe Maurer did it three times in his career.
That would be something.
I think, like, I don't know if, do people know this is happening that he's this close?
I don't think so.
I don't think so.
And a rise is the guy he's chasing.
So it'll be interesting to see if he plays or not.
But yeah, if Gabby can put together a couple games, that would, like...
Gabby Moreno in the NL is sixth in OPS.
Your catcher, people.
Amazing ballplayer.
Nolan continues, my friend, two, three-hit games in this series.
He's stacking up an amazing second half.
A reminder that Cardinals pay him a lot of money to play baseball in Arizona.
Sorry for Cardinals shrapnel late.
Yeah, I don't know.
It's got to be fun.
I mean, the Rockies have lost 16 of their last 19,
so they've really fallen back.
Erod, amazing season.
16 and 7, a 289, 189 innings.
I mean, that deserves to be highlighted.
He's been great.
In this series, 13, they scored 13 runs in the first inning alone.
That, to me, is like, maybe one of the more underrated stats in all of baseball.
We did it before.
It's like, I believe it's.
The teams that score first win almost 70% of games,
which is just an alarming stat.
And if the dimebacks could keep that up, baby,
we're looking at a sweep.
We're looking at the playoffs.
We're looking at Philly seeing the Eagles.
They're on to the Eagles season.
And the Sixers, LeBron.
People forget.
Oh, my gosh.
She's living in New York, though.
Chopperin in for practice.
Weird, weird.
Casey Meis versus Brandon fought tonight,
Walker Bueller and Corbyn Burns.
then Mike King, Mike Soroka maybe.
Let's, if you got some late night viewing this weekend,
San Diego, Arizona may be a delightful one for you.
And, hey, I know sometimes we say beating the Rockies as easy.
It's the first time the D-Backs have swept the Rockies in course since 2018.
So, like, I don't know.
It's not as easy as it comes off sometimes.
It's a D-BAC's first time ever playing outside of Arizona or Colorado.
So that would be fun tonight to watch that.
Yeah.

Marlins and Cubs played.
Again, the Cubs end up clinching.
The party celebration gets us going.
They, you know, after the game, their conversation is like,
We got to play this weekend to try to keep this thing home.
It'll be very interesting to see if they lose and the Padres were to win
and that leaves them a little bit.
They do have the tiebreaker over them.
Still seeing every Marlins top starter coming out of the bullpen is throwing me off a little bit.
I want to get your take on that.
I know this is about the Cubs.
I want to give snaps to Alex Bregman,
who's made the playoffs in every full season of his career.
Like I know we're friends.
But this is like one of those like
blessed.
Kind of hate you.
That's blessed.
My goodness, bro.
I would have been, you know, well, like, two sides.
You would have been a playoff star or a playoff.
You would have been a playoff star or a playoff dunce.
You would never, we'll never know.
I would, I would lean the other way.
Yeah.
I know it.
I can feel it.
I want to get your take on starters going into a bullpen role.
So Clayton McCullough has some,
I guess he ruined my Sandy fan fiction, which is fine.
Sure did.
But he had some quotes saying,
we don't think this is going to be something that's regular,
maybe four times a year going for,
but we're also curious to see how it works out
and what that holds in the future.
I think it's crazy.
I think it's crazy.
And maybe that's the whole point.
You've got to think outside the box
to figure to make innovative.
but you have Sandy, you got Yuri doing it.
And yeah, you throw you throw bullpens, but it's, you use bullpens to like,
right, touch and feel a little bit.
You don't go in there trying to freaking, you know, go lights out and strike three guys out,
like you do in a regular relief appearance, especially a high leverage relief appearance.
So I'm curious how that works out.
Like I, I think all that stuff, like, here's my other take.
on it. And I'm just kind of jumping all over the board here
and whatever. It's my show.
Whoops.
It's okay. It's like
when you have a star hitter
and you give them an off day, but you're like,
you might pinch hit. Like, I don't like that.
I'd rather have, number one,
I would love to know the stats of like
really good hitters who get an off day
and when they pinch hit, like what their stats are.
It's probably not very good because guys don't know
how to do that. They've never done that before.
It is a skill to be able to come off the bench and hit.
It's not just like any other at bat.
It's just not.
Yeah.
So if I'm running a team, our team that we're going to run.
Yeah.
If you get a day off, like you get a day off.
Unless there's an injury and we need you pot.
Like you're getting the day off.
Like you can check the fuck out.
I think that's better mentally than being like, okay, fifth, sixth inning.
You better start getting ready.
I'm out on that.
I kind of feel the same way about these bullpins.
I'm actually more intrigued about the bullpins than I am about having my star hitter come and pinch it for me.
I think I think I'm better with that almost.
I think there should be two separate things.
I think there should be a mental health off day.
Like, hey, dude, you're off today.
Don't even if you're struggling.
If you just, it's not.
I know.
No, mental health doesn't always mean you're struggling, trip.
I think.
I don't know.
But I think there should be days like, hey, dude, you're off today.
Check out.
Put the turf song, play.
Yeah, watch some birds in the outfield.
See if there's any other scenery in the stadium, wink.
You know, enjoy your day off.
I do think there should also be like a, hey, you know, we're going to give you a day.
Maybe we want to play this person.
Hey, maybe go on the trajectory machine and take some of bats against this reliever.
Like, if that spot comes up, we might shoot you there.
And that way it's like a checkout, but like, oh, okay.
Like this might be your one job that day.
I think that's fine.
The throw days for me in a sport where the biggest concern of the sport is keeping pitchers healthy,
this doesn't feel like a great move.
I will say there is another world that, like, you know, you and I have, not bickered,
but like, for me, I think there's a world where you were a two-way player.
And it was like, hey, you know, yeah, Trev plays third base.
And if we're down seven to one, like, he can throw 94 and he can bang a slider.
Like, I still think there's a world where we can have two-way players that aren't show hey.
Pushing your star guys to do this is questionable.
Like, I don't know.
If you were in a playoff run and Sandy goes down, the first thing you would question is, well, he's also throwing in between his outings.
I do think, because as you mentioned, guys do throw.
There's an interesting convo to be like, you know, we have an off day coming up next week.
would you be willing to sit in the bullpen today and throw?
I'm open to it.
I just think it's funny how, you know,
we're trying to limit pitch counts.
We're trying to give guys extra rest whenever we can.
Oh, my gosh, like trying to prevent injuries in the Marlins.
Like, no, we'll just throw more.
Yeah.
Let's just put more on the arm.
And I will say the two guys we've seen do it, Latino ball players.
Because Latino ball players, all they do is play ball.
They play ball.
They're not like.
this is the only time I'll say this
because you know I love America
you know I love America
soft
baseball players taking the off season
just off
yeah oh okay
we don't we don't
the good players don't play
winter ball right
Latino ball players
they go straight from the season
give me more
they're different
they're freaking different
still playing ball
it's insane I don't know if it's Australia
or like, man, he's still playing.
Rob, I do need the call of PCA's 40-40 stolen base
because obviously Bugsiambi crushes everything he does.
The roar of the Wrigley crowd when Pete takes off
is just something that I don't know if it can be replicated outside of sports.
And it's also a special sports town, a special venue,
and a special season as Pete,
the third player in the 45-40
Solom Base Club
and he's our guy.
There he goes.
Pitches inside
and he's done it.
For the soon-to-be MVP,
Pete Crowe Armstrong.
Drink it in, Pete.
Drink it in.
What a moment.
The fans were with him
every step of the way once he broke.
We could hear him rise.
What a year.
And we have all been really
treated to watch this listen to this place.
They're not going to stop.
Yeah, I just
one of those, we talk about
best sports town sometimes.
Chicago has their argument.
Pete takes that first step and you hear
the whole crowd get jazzed up.
Awesome.
It's been a journey for Pete this year.
If you remember May 17th, what happened?
Is that when he had a nice
exchange with a woman in the outfield?
It was. He apologizes May 18th for that.
He says he regrets his choice of words and, you know, I said the same thing.
I feel like he got caught up in the moment a little bit.
There's some fault both ways there, but I bet he regrets his choice of words.
Okay.
At that time, Jake, on after the game, May 18th, 229-308-366 for a 670,000.
OPS from that point forward.
301, 398, 658 for the one dot.
It's the defining moment of his unanimous MVP year
is him telling this correct SSD.
I don't know.
It doesn't sound awful.
Cubs, two 10-game win-streeks,
one-10-game losing streak,
28 blown saves, 43 comeback wins,
a roller coaster of a season with a special MVP season.
Breggie's eye looking a lot better than I thought.
So that's good news for him.
He's playing.
Coach, this guy's going to be it.
He was playing no matter what.
I can't wait to see if he wears a softball face mask.
Oh, playoff.
Need it.
I need that.
Playoff Breggie unlocked.
And yeah, if you have showed a porn beer on himself, Rob, I'll tell you what.
that moves the needle for me.
That's...
Shota also, he had a...
He had a slow motion,
just cracked three beers and slowly poured them over his head.
I don't know.
The boys are bopping in the south side,
and let's see...
Let's see where they land this thing.
Are they going to be at Riggly?
Are they going to be in San Diego?
is it going to be somewhere else?
Braves, Reds, again, we're in a different time of the year.
Pop, let's get to the American.
Braves, you got some fun stuff coming, Card's Pirates.
The Twins, Trev, no, Drew Gilbert, chokes one out.
Let's do some A.L.
Because there's still some juice in the A.L.
People, the Guardians and the Red Sox, a couple American League playoff teams,
three one-run games, and the Guardians took two of them.
3-2 on that opening night.
David Frye, remember him?
He gets an RBI single late to get the lead in that one.
The Red Sox with a 1-0 win.
There's Chapman in the 9th looking disgusting.
And then on Angel Martinez,
finds the pesky pole for the only run scored in that final game.
Cantillo and Ranger Suarez?
Little old man take a look at my life?
Those guys, a couple lefties that'll get you out any way they want.
Cade Smith
Sy Young vote season
The White Sox
Take two out of three
From the Kansas City Royals
A 14 to 11 shootout
There's Randall Gritchuk
There's Chase Midroth
Obviously
Mikel Garcia
Three hit night
To win that second game
But then the White Sox win
They clinch, they party
The Texas Rangers
And the Houston Astros
My God
The Texas Rangers
They drop two out of three to the Mets.
Crazy.
That second game tied late in Marcus Simeon, the former Ranger,
hits the homer, and then Bady hits a grand slam.
The Rangers do avoid the sweep in that final game.
Thickneck, Josh Young.
Corey Seeger going big flying.
There's Jordan Montgomery.
Houston ends up splitting with Seattle.
Ten inning game.
Josh Hader walking the ballpark.
It was a horrific AL West exhibition.
We don't even know that Houston won the next night.
The Tampa Bay Race faced the New York Yankees and dropped three out of four,
but that one game they did win allowed them to win the AL East,
the one seed over the New York Yankees.
Other than that, some Schlittler, some Cody Bellinger,
Carlos Rodon playing really good baseball.
Same with George Lombard Jr. How do you like that?
Orioles sweep the Blue Jays.
Pete Alonzo.
God, love me some Pete the meat.
Saluting the fans and hitting ding-dongs.
That's what he does, people.
Scherzer's going to get back on the bump.
So is Verlander.
What is going on with Trev's old?
Tigers and Nats played.
Doesn't matter.
Same with the Angels and the A's.
That's what happened in the American League.
Good job.
Right there.
I've got it off.
All right.
I got the standings.
I was just looking up the White Sox, like playoff rotation.
going to get into it. I got some thoughts on this.
All right. Again, Tampa,
you clinched the division. Love you. 96
wins for you, 63 losses.
Yanks locked into the
four seed, correct?
92 and 67 for them.
Boston, 85 and 74.
Baltimore. You know, you've been playing better as of late.
You don't get mentioned. You're over 500.
Cleveland and the White Sox I mentioned,
this division is still here
in play. The White Sox have the tiebreaker
against the guards, guards 83 and 76.
Chicago only one game back at 82 and 77.
So they're still playing for things.
They're not going to try to line up their rotation for the wild card.
They're trying to get the buy.
So we'll see what happens this weekend.
No other team gets mentioned, not even my twins in the Central.
And if I go by my rule of not mentioning teams under 500,
I don't even mention the West, but I have to, Jake.
I have to because someone's got to win it,
both Houston and Texas, 79 and 80.
Texas has the tiebreaker, right?
Get that up for me.
No.
Are you sure?
Yes.
If they stay tied, Houston, Houston gets the non.
Okay, Houston has a tiebreaker, people.
Malamia, Malamia, Malamia.
79 and 80 for both of them.
one's going to the dance
and the other
their date showed them up
and didn't show up. That's tough. Does that happen?
Oh yeah. I think so.
I feel for those people.
Dances are so stupid in high school.
So stupid.
In the wild card,
Yankees are host in Boston people.
And then the only thing left to decide is
who the winner of
Hold on.
Let's go back right here.
What do you need?
Yankees are hosting Boston.
99%.
There's still a world where Boston loses out
and I think the White Sox and Cleveland win out.
But yeah.
Whoever wins the AL Central is going to have the buy.
Whoever doesn't win the A.L. Central will be
the last wild card team.
Right.
who will have to play either Houston or Texas.
There's a lot going on people.
Those are the standings in the American League.
Holy Snikes.
Yeah.
I thought things were wrapped up,
but there's still kind of a lot of positioning in play.
The AL goes through Minnesota.
That's where Texas is heading.
As Houston duels it out with the pesky athletics
the next couple nights to decide the West.
And yeah.
That game hasn't happened yet.
apparently.
Hasn't happened yet.
A four game set in Sacramento
is a wild way to end.
It was a wild start.
We have to mention it.
We got a rookie.
Lucas Spence.
Yes.
Hasn't happened, but he hits his first ever
home run and then two more.
Three homers in that part.
That's what, like, you could say,
hey, it's the A's like this is going to be,
they should win these.
No, dude.
if you've watched a game at that ballpark,
you don't know what is going to happen.
You better keep scoring runs every single inning
because you do not know what's going to happen.
That's a scary place for them to be sorry.
Lucas Spence undrafted in 24, Coach Trev.
He didn't even really like, I was hoping you really fired up.
No.
He just was kind of giving a love to the bully, and that's it.
Once you hit the first one, you kind of think you're that guy.
And he is.
He's actually like he's been there before.
When you hit the first, yes.
Dude, Baez did the same thing.
They're two of three players to have their first ever three home runs in one game.
I forget who the other one?
The other one was like a kooky catcher name.
It's probably on the sheet somewhere.
It didn't happen yet.
Sorry, it kind of did, though.
Guardians clinch going to the postseason
and there are a couple wins a game from their third straight AL Central title.
Again, the title we give them of a Milwaukee light or whatever it is.
Playoffs in eight of their last 11 seasons, they get to party after that 1-0-0 pesky pole game.
Obviously, that's how they do it on a Joey Cantile follower day.
Man, this was playoff baseball, Trev.
There's been a couple times you go and you watch around the league and you're like,
okay, there's only good pitchers pitching.
These are tight games, their pressure-pack situations,
and that's what happened with the Boston and the guard dog.
the Boston and the guard dogs.
Yeah, I mean, this is a very pitcher-heavy series,
as you could, I guess, imagine between these two teams
who do have very good pitching staffs.
Cantillo's been great since they've moved him in,
like had an opener for him, made him like a bolt guy.
That's kind of changed the outlook of his season.
So to me, that makes sense.
They're going to continue to do that in the postseason.
They want to be able to line up their pitching
because that's going to give them their best shot.
And, yeah, they need to guard dogs.
congratulations to Stephen vote three for three for him
there as a manager of the guardians. Chris Rose, I hate you because all you do is
complain about your team, but you win every single year.
And I keep telling you that and you just, oh, I don't know.
Anyways, great for the guardians.
I'm happy for them.
I think them more than anybody needs to win the division.
Oh, okay.
Yeah.
Okay.
Yeah.
And it's going to be fun to watch because the White Sox have the,
tiebreaker. They have to be a game better.
The Guardians have the Kansas
City Royals
who are still
fighting, but they haven't
kind of fought all year. The White Sox have the Rockies.
So if the
Rockies, Royals, your twins
can play, spoiler, and the athletics.
Those are the four teams
that the West and the Central teams are
playing that can change
the whole American League outlook.
Guardians have to face Waka and
Noah Cameron, okay, and
yeah you're talking about the white socks going and facing the rockies they have the top of
their rotation lined up for the weekend they're going to do that instead of say we'll save it for
you know the wild card series like they're i think their thought process is let's go sweep these
rockies and then we can set a rotation uh in the ds which would be insane to think about not that
they really have like you know this top three in the rotation but you know they have their best
pitchers. So yeah, man, oh my gosh. I guess I didn't really think about that, how they can still
win the division, throw these guys, and then line up their pitching for the DS and be, okay, wow.
On the Red Sox party scene, we've talked about it a lot. All the young players, pretty, pretty cool,
again, and we've never seen a season like this to lose that many games and in consecutive seasons.
We'll get to White Sox. I'm sorry.
Guardians, Jesus, what are they doing?
22 and 10 since August 20th got them here,
and they kind of did the same thing last year.
I think we need to talk some Boston because Trev's some crazy stuff going on,
and I'm not just talking Mickey Gasper,
hitting the game tying Homer into the Boston night sky, obviously.
Sunny Gray puts together an amazing season, 18 and 5, a 272 ERA.
Their playoff rotation is lined up.
Raphaela comes back, makes an incredible diving catch,
and then he leaves with injury.
And then the news we get late last night is Wilson Contreras basically saying
he can't swing the bat, pop.
Yeah, that's two kind of big blows.
You saw Raphaelah grabbing his knee or his hamstring,
and, you know, if you do have some sort of soft tissue,
and you've got to play a meaningful series in three games,
that's not what you're looking for,
especially for a guy who uses his legs for his,
for his, you know, defensive prowess out there.
That's not what you want to see.
And yeah, the Contrera stuff is very interesting.
Can't swing a bat.
I don't know.
In my mind, it feels like gamesmanship or something.
I can't wrap my head around it.
If he's not going to be...
I'll give you 15% on gamesmanship.
I thought the same thing.
I mean, supposedly there was like tears in his eyes and the presser and it's like...
Does that mean he's out for the playoffs?
Are we...
But couldn't they be looking at the Yankees and what judges are?
doing right now and is that gamesmanship?
So I'll say this. My gamesmanship meter is up for everyone.
So this isn't a Boston thing.
I don't understand the gamesmanship.
I said it, but I don't understand what it helps.
It would be that, you know, when those rosters drop four hours before the game is Contreras
on it or not, and then like, is he starting?
Like that's...
Yes.
Both him and Judge are going to be on these rosters.
It's insane to think that they're not going to be.
I don't know.
You don't need a full.
complement of pitchers in the wild
card set. So you could have extra position
players. They're going to be on the roster, both of them.
The gossip going around Yankee
Stadium last night was
insane. I did.
Because you know who is going to be on the Yankees roster?
And Carlos Stanton. And guess what he is?
A righty pinch hitter that can't run.
Judge is buying
Couple of them boys. Judge is
buying for that same role. And the rumor
is he's like hurt. So that's, we
are in that part of the year that our
you hurt or you injured.
And the Red Sox might have got a couple really tough blows that it's going to be
must watch to see when their roster does drop and that first lineup of that first
playoff game.
I just, I have a hard time believing either of those guys.
Judge or Contreras will not be on a wild card roster.
It's what we don't know, right?
Can you play or can't you?
And the way Wilson presented it last night was a can't.
Because we know, we know if that dude can be out there.
Like, if anyone deserves credit, that cat.
Yeah, I agree.
We'll see.
And they've got three important games with the Cubs,
as we're talking potential seating for Chicago,
that they moved up to a double header
because there's a nor-easter, Trev.
I don't know if that news came out west yet,
but Storm of the Centuries here for the weekend.
They're playing in Tampa, correct?
So they moved up the double header
to play in Boston,
And then.
And then there's no set or they're still scheduled for Saturday,
but that game's looking like it's just going to get crushed.
So they've said they've flushed out all options.
I thought they're going to Tampa.
I thought they decided that.
I don't think that's confirmed yet.
I can have Rob search it, but I know that's on the table.
Okay.
But yeah.
That's crazy.
In an already messy situation between wild card and seating,
those two teams can be in a weird one.
maybe bigger for the eraldus chapman threw and he looked nasty and he'd been out that
these socks are going to pitch they are lined up toly gray swarez chapman and whitlock
eric miller garero like yeah it yanks and red socks link up which again about 99%
every guy who touches the mound is a nasty pitcher that those games are going to come to
one or two swings and seasons on the line and i'm horrified uh back to
the guards real quick.
Cade Smith.
I've watched that pitch again.
Watch what Chapman's throwing.
No.
What?
Do I got a knock off him?
I don't know.
It might.
Look at this.
He's basically throwing R.A. Dickies the thing at 91 miles.
Yeah, that was, that was, that's filth.
I don't want that.
You can't hit that.
And he's got a mock turtle on.
Love that for us.
Cade Smith, speaking of closers.
41st save, he leads Major League Baseball in that category.
The stats are ridiculous.
He's the third Canadian with 40 saves joining.
Eric Gagne.
Eric Gagne and.
Ooh, I know this.
I always want to say Rocky Biddle and it's never Rocky Biddle.
It's not Rocky Biddle.
I don't know who that is not in my book.
This guy, I think he struck me out for his first ever save, pretty sure, or one of.
John Exford.
Oh, I should have got that.
Rocky Biddle, American.
He pitched for the Expos.
He sounds like an Australian.
Or a kick in.
Did have a 34 save negative war season for the Expos in 03.
Okay.
Rocky Biddle shout out.
And that was Guardian Sox.
Yeah, we'll see who wins the division.
We'll see who's out there for the Sox.
We're in the stretch run now where every pitch, every out,
and every night starts to matter a little more.

Rob, apparently they're going to make an official decision today at some point, but the Red Sox will likely have to come to Fenway with a packed bag.
Packed them bags.
We did it in Tampa. We hosted the Yankees, City Field.
And nothing happened in Tampa.
We all parked our cars.
Or like, hey, like, your cars might not be here when you get back.
Like, all right.
That's kind of crazy.
I was living in this, like, beach house that, like, definitely was, like, not up to code.
I was like, this rental is going to be gone.
And then nothing happened.
That was, there was a fun debate.
Jimmy's ears perk up when he hears big storm.
Because half his brain says, like, ooh, big storm, this is crazy.
This is going to be kind of sick.
The other half of his brain is, like,
ES, like meteorologists just lie to get us to talk about it.
That, yeah, and his angel and devil on his shoulder for storms, you'll love this.
Dan Rourke always thinks the big storm is going to be the biggest storm ever and it's going to change the world.
Our guy socials Kev always is a storm hater and is always like, this thing ain't going to touch us.
That was nothing.
White Sox, that was for us, I guess.
White Sox and the Royals.
Teat it up.
We've already talked a lot about the White Sox partying.
You know, their historic season from a hundred consecutive hundred lost seasons to becoming,
making the playoffs that's never been done.
Might be your manager of the year coming out of there.
I do, Will Venable, shout out.
I have an award coming from this.
So I'll punt if there's whatever you want from here.
In a way, we've kind of covered it with all the playoffs stuff.
Yeah, we had, I like, you know, I always like to see managers,
what are you going to say to the team before you start popping champagne?
Because of course you've thought about it and you want to have this like sick line.
And he tried to have one.
I don't know if you saw that.
It was of the effect like tomorrow we lock it the F back in,
but now we're popping bottles.
That was a,
I wasn't bad.
I don't know if, Rob, if this is for you or socials, but doing like a,
a manager's final speech before the champagne montage.
I think that would be,
I think that'd be pretty good.
Voter got lost in his a little bit,
which I get a little Stephen vote in there.
Counsel, like, that's not his scene, but he didn't.
No.
His was like, you know, this,
you guys should enjoy this party,
but know that if we do more parties,
those parties are better.
And everyone's like, yeah, okay.
Top of your head, best man,
like number one manager to give a pre-celebration speech.
Terry Francom.
Oh, wow.
Yeah.
I even forgot.
Reds are out of my mind already.
Out of my mind already.
Of the playoff managers that are in.
Can I give mine?
Sure.
Don Kelly?
Okay.
I'm into Don't Kelly.
Big dog.
Yeah.
I'm trying to think who else.
I don't know.
I saw Walt Weiss tackle Horace-Oler this year.
Yeah, do we have what, did they do a big one?
Oh, I haven't seen that.
Or do they, I think they did a little champagne.
clink.
Classy.
What else do we need to talk about?
I don't know.
White Sox will be mad.
Yeah.
We talked about the White Sox fans.
More white socks are coming.
And they could still get the Central.
Dude, I think it's just A.L. West.
Because, yeah, my, after Tampa clinches, that series didn't matter.
And I think you sneakie have a little yanks coming later.
Give me.
I do.
Talk dirty to me.
My best example of this A.L. worst.
I'll say it.
I'll go skip Bayless on.
everyone.
Wednesday night, the Texas Rangers in a 2-2 game,
two-out's in the eighth inning,
Lats is in, who's been incredible this season,
two-oh pitch to Marcus Simeon,
the former Texas Ranger, he goes Big Fly,
it's three to two.
There it goes.
And then in the ninth inning,
trying to hold on, let's keep it at one.
Brett Beatty, Grand Slam, they blow it.
That was the early game.
So Houston knows this.
They're going to try to win either way.
Like I do laugh when sometimes we do that.
They go in to Seattle, who technically wasn't done but was done, but wasn't done.
And they go into extra innings.
They take the lead.
Hater comes in, has a tough night at the office, which that's,
and if there's anyone on that team that deserves it, it's him and Yordan.
And they blow that game that at the end of the day, you're just like,
who wants it?
Nobody.
Hayter walked four people in that game.
He's walked 15 people all year long.
And in that game and another one where he walked three,
it's like half of his walk total in two games.
So he's been fantastic.
Just a blip on the radar, I guess, for him, if you will.
As far as Rangers, Houston goes, my goodness,
I don't know what else to say about.
I mean, two teams under 500.
who it's like we kept saying like nobody wants any of the AL
and these two teams are still proving that right.
They're giving chances to the other side to make up these games
and they just can't do it.
As you mentioned, yes, the Astros could have taken two from the Mariners.
They did win last night, which is a big thing for them.
They needed that.
But I was watching that game live when Beatty hit the Grand Slam.
and it was like, oh my gosh.
Like the defeated sound of the Rangers broadcasters
was pretty hilarious.
But yeah, hey, massive series.
Three games left for your season.
What are you going to do?
Again, late night baseball this weekend.
Check out what's going on in Sacramento.
Snaps for Christian Walker, I forgot.
Snaps for Christian Walker.
Two-in-a-care Homer. I think you get 201 last night as well.
Lean back on one.
Pretty swing.
Good ball player.
Good ball player.
Got a little late start, but has made an amazing career out of it.
How the West was won.
I think that let's keep going, Treff.
Grindy.
It's time for standout for performances.
Stand out performances.
Stand out performances.
This guy stood out for Trev.
Say what?
Coach.
Double duty here.
I'm going pitchers.
It's a pitcher.
episode for me.
I got bad news for you.
I'm going first.
Oh, go, please.
Fine.
It's time for standout performers presented by booking.com.
Booking.
Yeah, an official travel partner of the MLB.
I'm going with my most-tasted player and my least-tasted player.
We're doubling up.
It's the final one.
I'm giving my final snaps for Pete Alonzo.
See a Pete.
an amazing season.
He has a two-home or day to get into the 40 home run club on the season.
He puts together what I would call a Pete Alonzo season on his new team,
just raking, driving in runs, playing every goddamn day,
and then pulling the team out of the dugout to give the fans some love.
Yeah, that's my quarterback.
That's Pete.
This one's going to be a little off the map for people.
Trev, in the baseball season, as some of these teams fall out and we start talking about them less and less and less.
Dude, it's just a guy that I think I'm highlighting as one of our most talked about guys to one of our least talked about guys.
Michael Garcia.
Again, the Royals fell out of it.
It was a sad season.
This guy was on a path to superstardom.
It felt like 5.8 war last year.
you know, WBC is a DR or a Venezuela guy.
Like this guy's a stud.
He's going to have his age 26 season.
Him and Bobby Witt on the left side.
Obviously, there's been some injuries this year.
He played 80 games.
Racked up two war, which if you project that,
but it's 263, 325, a 704 OBS.
He had a 3-4-night.
And for me, it was just as I was going through our notes for this show,
I was like, damn, he might be from last year to this year.
like the biggest gap in how much we talked about him.
Like someone like Cal Raleigh, we still talked about him a ton
because it just obviously the contrast of seasons.
But Michael Garcy, he was like your guy and he was part of the Royals
and it was just like, I don't know, it was just for me it was like,
damn, this sport happens quick sometimes.
And I hope we get to talk about him a lot next year.
Yeah, injuries were a big part of why we didn't talk about him.
But he is a great guy.
I went with Corey Probus at the end of last year,
sat and talked to them in his locker,
just about his season and moving from shortstop,
going to third base, all these different things.
So, yeah, rooting for him.
Big time.
Me too.
And it's kind of a, Pete, I probably talked about the most.
And Michael Garcia, I probably talked about the least.
So I figured that would be my sign off.
Where are you going, Big Dog?
I'm going to pitchers.
Number one, this one's for me,
Bradley, although, you know, look, he deserves some love because of what he did this year, gets to 205 strikeouts.
He makes 31 starts to a 37, racks up the B-war, a 4-2 B-Wor.
You know, so we've done pretty well trading with Tampa recently.
We got Joe Ryan and Tage Bradley from them, which is pretty cool.
We gave up some good players.
Not really half a year at Nelson Cruz for Joe Ryan, which is nuts.
and then Griffin Jack's here for Taj.
But great season for him, and he's just like an all-timer.
Love him in the clubhouse.
I think you'd really like him.
So I wanted to give him a little shout.
I don't think we really didn't talk to a lot of twins.
I tried to, my best people, but anyways.
Jared Jones coming back from injury this year,
and you never know how things are going to go for you
when you come back from an injury, especially as a pitcher.
You're just trying to find the feel.
you know and for the first let's call it 13 starts this year he comes back May 29th
makes 13 starts to a 503 you know it's not it's not looking great for him you got to feel
like hey man do I still have it like what's going on here uh while he ends last seven starts
38 and two thirds innings pitch to a 209 a 196 FIPP he strikes out 53 batters
in those 38 and two-thirds innings pitch.
So ending on a really, really good note.
His last start goes seven innings pitch, only one hit, no walks, 9Ks.
So glad to see him twirling the pill.
And again, like the Pirates season didn't end up the way they wanted to,
but they put forth a pretty damn good effort.
There was just a bad, really bad stretch for them right around the trade deadline
that kind of ended it.
But shout out to both those guys who,
I think we needed to prove themselves in different ways.
Taj did most innings in his career, most starts in his career,
and then Jared Jones coming back from injury.
Yeah, obviously I was tough on the pirates.
And if Connor Griffin and O'Neill Cruz, like, they don't miss a little bit.
There's a lot of little things that could have changed.
I think we'd be talking about them for that last wild card spot.
Trev, there is a lot of, I mean, Drew Rasmussen and Sunny Gray, what they did their last starts and the season on a whole.
Ellie Dela Cruz is going to be 30-30.
Drew Gilbert was also on my, did I talk about this guy too much list?
Thanks to our partners at booking.com, making it easy for baseball fans to get where they want to be.
Booking.com, booking.
Yeah, an official travel partner of MLB, Major League Baseball trademarks used with permission.
let's get to who is on the final in Fuego.
Dirt Nasty's on Fuego.
That means I'm on fire, baby, like Waco.
You claim Pete Alonzo early this year as like your own player.
I'm claiming a guy for next year, and it's Henry Bolte, just so you know, don't even think about him.
Palo Alto guy, Cali guy, Northern's fine, stud.
Mark my words.
Chase Maidroff, 7 for 11 in the series, a double, a homer, five runs driven in.
Here's the middle infielders, Jake, currently with a 4.5 or more B-War, a 2.75 or higher average in 45 or more extra base hits.
It's Ellie. It's Otto Lopez. Go look at where his stats ended up. Kevin McGonigal, Bobbywood, Jr., and our guy Chase Midroth. Good company to keep right there.
I don't know this guy's name. I'm going to try. Ben Meljiri.
Eddie.
My daddy?
Yeah.
He's,
is he Italian?
He don't know.
Five for 12.
I saw who was doing that.
Gosh,
who do we always do this for?
Dominic Canzon.
Yeah,
Canzon.
Yeah.
He had like a laser off the wall,
bases low laser off the wall.
And in Seattle,
like a mom and the son were going like this.
Yes.
That's baseball,
Trev.
Five for 12, two doubles,
two homers,
five runs driven in in the series.
Josh,
young that thick neck 5-11
5-4-11, 2 doubles a homer
3 runs driven a Kyle Stowers
3-4-9 didn't talk about him
a lot this year. Two homers
four runs driven in. He's got a hard hit
rate of 61%
on low pitches. Don't feed the
beast there. Go up top.
He's slugging 537 on
non-fastballs this year, Jake.
That's 4th best in Majorly Baseball
only behind
PCA, Yordan,
and Yandi Diaz. That's a
blunt rotation right there.
And Yondis
would smoke the whole thing in one puff. He's just too
strong. He's just too strong.
For the week, Zach Gelloff.
Shout out. Go Ayes.
10 for 22, four homers, eight runs
driven in. Vinnie Peskinna.
Yeah. 9 for 22,
two doubles, three homers, 11 runs driven.
He had a grand slam too. Shout out
Vinnie P. End of the year strong. Love it.
Your guy, Nolan, Aeronado, 12
for 26, a double three humors, nine
runs driven in. He's got
seven Jimmy Jackson's last 13.
He's got 29 homers,
and that's the most he's hit in a season since
2022, when he hit 30, so hopefully
he gets there. They need him.
And he's extended his on base street to
18 games, and during that stretch shake,
he's hit 3.79
with those seven homers and 14
runs driven in. Isa Paredes
trying to punch his ticket to the postseason
goes eight for 22, three homer
seven runs driven in. And then your guy,
George Lombard Jr., I text
Jimmy more about him than anything else.
Yeah.
It's a lot about his footwork.
Yeah.
I need to work with this guy, and it's where I think this guy can be a very special player.
He goes nine for 28, four homers, 10 runs driven in at 21 years old in 114 days.
He becomes a second youngest player in Yankees history to hit a go-ahead Homer in the eighth inning or later to,
what would Mickey Mantle do?
Yeah.
He did it on 20 years and 283 days.
What I would have done to party with a 20-year-old and.
Mickey Manel.
Peak, Mick.
There was no rules back then.
You'd do whatever you want.
That's who's in Fuego.
An amazing
Infuego. A lot of your guy, my guy
throughout all that.
But hey, I was at
Zach Gelloff, a really nice year.
He was someone you liked
from the start.
A fantastic
Enfuego.
Fantastic.
Sadly, we're going to send them out

Looks like Chris Rose's son.
Two weeks, Sean Murphy.
Big butt. A couple weird years for him.
Yeah, two for 29. Tristan Peters.
Just keep saying random things about everybody.

What feels important
Placed on the IL
I don't know
Martin Perez.
That's okay.
That matters for Atlanta.
Timing that right.
Hurston Waldrip for them, too.
Clark Schmidt.
Dalton Varsho, which allowed our guy to get the call.
And casually three-home or night.
Oh, the third on that list, it was Joshua Baez.
That was this year.
That was this year.
So we've had Lucas Spence, which happened last night.
And then the catch.
year I couldn't remember was Sebi Zavala.
Oh, I love that.
Sebi Savala. Those are the big three that have done that.
What happened to Joshua Baez? Checking in.
Played okay and then he got hurt. I believe he's done.
Yeah, he's on the IEL right now. Seven total homers,
230, 278, 510 for the 788.
So the slugs keeping them in play.
Returning from the IL, which matters a little bit more this time of year.
Andy Pahas, Roki Sasaki, and Shohay Otani for the Dodgers.
that matters.
Your guy Peyton Gray in that Texas pen.
Jason Adam for San Diego.
Wow.
Robert Suarez for Alanan.
We mentioned Rafael.
He's back.
Is he hurt?
Jazz Chisholm for my Yankees.
Let's get that done with.
And let's start everyone's last regular season weekend the right way.
Trev, you have the honors.
You're going to do it?
All right.
Here we go.
Yeah, no, I'm ready.
Okay.
There are certain times in your life where you just have to admit that you're wrong or maybe you didn't know something.
Okay.
My entire life growing up, and maybe this is just kind of you're a kid so your taste buds haven't didn't develop.
Hated mustard, man.
Like not a mustard guy.
I wouldn't want it on a hot dog.
I wouldn't want it on a burger.
Like it just wasn't my thing.
I just thought it was disgusting.
Until what age?
I'll get there.
Okay. I still think that way about mayo. I'll eat mayo.
Spicy tuna rolls have mayo in them. If I make a tuna sandwich, it has mayo on it.
I understand things have mayonnaise in it, but I'm not going to be lathering my stuff up in mayo.
Out on that, that'll probably be forever for me at this point.
Mustard, though, never really liked it, never really tried it.
And then I would be bust to like away spring training games in the minor leagues.
and what we would eat after like our morning stuff,
but before the game, they'd have these like sandwiches they would make.
And it'd be like bread this thick.
Both sides of the bread would be this thick.
Okay.
Not a lot of filling in there, like a couple slices of turkey
and a slice of cheese, soggy lettuce, disgusting.
I'm talking dry, disgusting sandwiches.
Those airport sandwiches?
You ever done one of a little?
Yeah, it's just, yeah, like you go to 7-Eleven, pick up one of these.
It's probably going to be better, especially in Japan.
So they pack mayonnaise and mustard.
To eat one of these sandwiches, you had to put one of them on.
You couldn't eat it dry or else you're going to choke to death.
I didn't want to die at the Red Spring Training facility out there in Sarasota.
Didn't want to die there.
I'm going to live till 130.
So I was like, I got to pick one of these.
I pick mustard.
because I can't do mayonnaise.
And you know what?
I end up liking mustard.
I was wrong about it.
Didn't know, coach.
I'm always a position player,
everyday player,
needs to win the MVP.
I don't see that happening this year.
I don't see Bobby Witt, Jr.,
winning the ALMVP.
I don't see Junior Caminero
winning the AL MVP.
Bobby and his career
worst year, still a very good year.
It's his career worst year.
Go check out the stats, people.
It is what it is.
Very good ball player.
He's stolen 43 bags.
This is not the year Bobby Wood Jr.
wins the MVP.
Bobby, Jr.
will not win the MVP this year.
Junior Camerero, not going to win the MVP.
I love what he's done.
There's a lot of deficiencies there in his game.
The offensive numbers just aren't there.
Now, the two remaining people for this are Yordon Alvarez and Cam Schlittler.
Right now, Vegas has Yoron Alvarez as an overwhelming favorite to win the MVP.
And I'm looking at it, and you know I love Yordaun.
You know I love him.
Here are some of the statistics.
He's got 41 homers.
He's scored 100 runs.
He's driven in 100 runs.
He's 315, 432, 600 on the nose for the 1.032.
It's a 190 OPS plus.
He's a DH though.
He's a DH though, Pop.
I don't like that.
And then I started thinking, okay, are these stats so overwhelming that we need to give him the MVP?
So I went back to Aaron Judge when he's winning the MVP.
They're not even close, Pop.
If you're comparing this year's Yorda Alvarez to when Aaron Judge is winning the MVP award,
judge is hitting 62 homers, 58 homers driving in 140 runs.
OBP in the like 450s,
slugging closer to 700.
The OPS Plus over 200.
It's so much higher than where Yordaun is right now.
And again, you know I love Yotong.
You know I love Cuban ball players.
So this isn't some historically good D.H season.
It's just not.
It's the best offensive season in the AL this year.
Yes.
But it's not historically great.
hey, we got to give it to this guy.
Cam Schlittler, on the other hand,
it kind of is.
If we're going back, think about the last pitcher
to win the AL MVP. Who is it?
Verlander.
Is Verlander.
Nice.
Okay. Verlander in 2011,
Verland and then Vers Schlitler,
2026.
Schlitler clears him in pretty much
every single category
except innings pitched.
Okay?
Verlander threw 34 starts that year
Schlittler at 33
Is he going to get another one?
No, he's done. He's done.
Okay, so it's going to be 34 for Verlander.
He pitches more innings, 251 for Verlander,
193.2 for Schlittler.
So that's 57 more innings for Verlander.
So he's pitched more per start.
He's helped his bullpen more, right?
But Cam Schlither has him an ERA,
24 to a 195.
He's got him an ERA plus,
14 to a 172. He's got him in FIP, 255 to a 299. He's got him in a whip.
0.919 to 0.92, negligible, but he's got him.
Strikeouts, Cam Schlittler's only 11 behind Justin Verlander in that year, despite 57 less
innings pitched. So the K percentage is higher. The walk percentage, they're right around
the same. 5.9 for Verlinder, 6.4 for our guy, Cam Schlittler. The Homer
percentage, Cam Schlittler, 2.1 to 2.5. The slash line, Cam Schlittler. I think I'm Cam Schlittler
for MVP, coach. And I didn't think I'd ever get that. But in this race, where no one is really
standing out, Yordon's not going to get the triple crown, which I think is maybe makes it
different. But that's not a historically great season for a DH. Like, there's been many seasons
better than that. On the pitching side, have there been better seasons? Yeah, but if you compare
the last AL MVP winner that was a pitcher, compare the seasons, it's Schlittler. So I think I'm
ringing the bell for Cam Schlittler to win MVP, and I never thought I would see the day. So there's
my mustard into Cam Schlittler award. I don't know what you think. You're a Yankee fan, so maybe
you're biased people in the comment section, let me know. Am I crazy here?
Let's start with what's important.
Where are you currently at with mustard?
Love.
I fucking...
Really?
I love grainy mustard.
I love dejean mustard.
I love yellow mustard.
I'm putting on my hot dogs.
I'm putting it on whatever.
You got all three mustards in your building right now.
You got the yellow.
You got really.
Spicy brown.
I got it all.
I love mustard.
Interesting.
I definitely, as a kid, I wasn't into mustard.
And then it finds its lane for you.
And I do think it's, I'm normally not clear on my thoughts, ironic with my career choice.
Like mustard, I feel like I identify every situation perfectly.
If it's just plain hot dog, like, give me that yellow ass mustard and let it operate.
If we're doing some like nice kibasa or something, you know, I'm going to need,
I'm going to need that good mustard.
You know what I'm saying?
That grainy, maybe some of, maybe throwing a little gray pupon tap into your French
roots a little bit.
Anyways, that if
everyone let us know your relationship with
mustard. We've done
a lot on this.
That's sling blade.
I think what's very
interesting is the fact that Cam
and Jacob Mizorowski are not in the same
league this year, because
I think if people are just watching
from the outside world or not
hyperlocked into numbers,
I believe Cam has had
a better year than Mizorowski.
Mizorowski has been slightly more dominant.
The ERA is a tick lower.
The K-ray is a tick better.
Innings, Schlittler has them by about 24 innings.
So for me, that's the slight difference.
24 innings over a slightly more dominant is what I'll take in today's baseball.
Because where are those 24 innings going?
Are they going to a AAA guy?
Are they burning out your reliever that you've,
watch this season who's burnt out.
Innings really matter.
That being said, if you're someone arguing Mizorowski
because he is a little more dominant,
and I did this with Passon on Wake and Jake a couple days ago,
which, yeah, Jeff Passing wasn't above coming on Wake and Jake like that.
I get it.
Like this, Miserowski v. Schlittler this year is a perfect baseball bar debate.
You could go back and forth for hours.
Nobody would be right.
Nobody would be wrong.
MVP is wild because, especially with the DH,
there's a world where we should have a better nerd stat of, like,
how involved you are in the game.
Because it's the stuff with PCA we say all the time.
Like, PCA, the amount of plays he's affected on defense,
the amount of plays he's affected base running,
like a pitcher just can't compete with the year Peter has put together.
Yordon, we could get a little more inside.
And how many, at bat, like, Cam Schlittler has faced more batter
then Yordon has had plate appearances.
Yardon this year has 678 plate appearances,
and I don't even, how do you even know how many people he's face have no idea?
I think it's on.
193.2, so, and then you have to add hits.
So times that by three and then add hits to it, right?
Yeah, I think it's on the sheet somewhere.
I'll see if I could find it.
Batters face, 761.
Where's that?
Baseball reference.
It's right next to ERA Plus between wild pitchers.
Oh, yeah.
That it's like, okay, so has Cam Schlittler affected games more than Yordaun Alvarez?
There's an argument.
Like, you expect what Cam Schlittler produces has to be more effective than Yordawn's hitting,
but hitting is harder to do.
Where I would poke a hole in your argument, and this is a Yankees sin,
dude, judge has skewed our brains
because what judge has done,
other guys haven't done.
Like you almost, whenever we bring up judge's numbers,
it's like Ruth, bonds, Ted Williams.
So he's not a normal MVP.
It's all of the appeal of Aaron Judge
that it's a little unfair to do that to Yordaun
because Yordaun's numbers aren't judges.
Well, kind of nobody's is.
That's what makes him special.
I don't know the answer.
I think it is a conversation.
And the fact like you reference the Vegas odds don't have it as one,
I think it's interesting.
And this all goes back to, I'd say even as of a decade ago,
there was like a, oh, dude, New York,
so this guy's going to get extra.
That kind of doesn't happen anymore.
Because if this was the 2000s,
I think we'd be talking a lot more Cam Schlittler for MVP.
We're not.
I think Yordon's going to get it.
Okay.
Just real quick, because you've got to give your award,
and Rose Zari texts me.
P. Kramer, 10-7, Fangraph's War.
Nobody's even above seven.
This is a weird year in baseball.
If you want to go to that, Bobby Witt,
6-8, Yordaun 6-6,
Kamm-Shlittler, 6-2.
So there's the war.
I will say this.
If you get a chance to sprinkle a little bit
on Cam Schlitler, his season's done.
His numbers can't move.
Correct.
Everything is finalized.
If the Astros don't make the playoffs,
I think that affects.
It's interesting.
When do voters vote?
Have they voted already?
They don't, right?
I think the season has to end.
So I'm saying if they don't make the playoffs,
I don't think you can give it to your...
So that's just my award.
I'm just, I'm thinking right here with my big old baseball brain.
That's all.
I think it's a conversation.
I think my biggest takeaway,
from that little bit is like,
I know we've said it a lot
and we do the your guy, my guy and all that.
Pete Crow Armstrong's season,
historic, historic on a different level,
like comparing next best wars and stuff,
it's, he's on his own planet.
And that was, you know, the question I've loved
ever since Evan Longoria said
he reminds me of a young Josh Hamilton.
I asked Pass and I was like,
Does PCA remind you of anyone?
It's like, dude, young bonds.
Like when everyone gets all hyped up about who Barry was before steroids,
like Barry would steal 40 bads.
Barry had crazy power.
Barry looked like nobody else on the field.
Again, Pete's defense is arguably a little better and Barry's offense is a little better.
But that's what we're talking about with what PCA is right now.
I'm looking at single season leaders in the history.
of B-war. Pete's 9.9 would have him tied with Barry Bonds' 28th, 28-year season. So he'd be
61st ever, 61st highest season ever. It's interesting. And there's, look at that. There's
Pete, we're in the U.S., giving you a hug on the USA team that you played for. And I think,
and okay, he's a little more excited to see me.
and it's a hug.
He's maugging you.
He's frame maugging you.
That's what's happening.
Are we the same height when he's from the dugout?
He's a stare below me.
Trev, my award and it's all encompassing and it's a bad word.
So if you listen with family, I'm going to ask you to cover your ears for a second.
My final award of the season is the That Fuck Award.
Oh, gave it away.
For those that know, you know.
And I asked Rob, I was like, do you know this player's connection to our family?
And he did not.
So sometimes I forget how much we talk and don't talk about.
These White Sox, Trev, that White Sox fans have been on me a few times because, you know, as we do these episodes, there's a lot to talk about.
For a while, the White Sox just had the Central and we're like, the White Sox are actually good.
And then we'd kind of move on.
Here's a stat.
The White Sox are going dancing.
It's a historic season.
and we've talked about a lot of the studs.
We've talked about, you know, Montgomery,
who by the way, Colson stats are landing in a weird spot this year.
That's for another time.
Murakami and his historic, funky season,
Chase Midr, all the young guys that have put together great seasons
for the White Sox to do what they've done.
When it came to the White Sox trade deadline,
I was like, go get me a dog.
Get me a McNeil.
Get me a fam.
What if that dog was already with them the whole thing?
time. Because in 98 games, 34-year-old, another cuss coming, that fuck, Randall Gritchick, has been
a dog for the Chicago White Sox. And I don't know where they would be without them, Trev, because
in 98 games, 304, 331, a 9333 OPS. A lot of that damage is versed last.
lefties. He's one of the best lefty maulers in the league. I think I'm going to put together
an all lefty mauler list at the end of the season. He won dots versus lefties,
all Trevor Plouf team. 655 versus Ritees. He's had some big swings late. It's a 436
slug against Ritey, so he is just trying to bop the ball. Randall Gritchick has had a couple
big swings for them this season. He's been kind of their veteran go-to in the clubhouse. He's
rocking an all-time go-tee, all-time go-tee.
It's the baseball. It's the Paul Canerico.
And I've got two things for, I got one for you and one for Rob.
How many career home runs does Randall Gritchick have?
Oh, gosh. A lot.
Right? It's a tricky one. It's like, it's close to 200?
Randall Gritchick, some Blue Jays, going back to those Seattle teams.
he's bopped around.
226 career pumps for Randall Gritchick.
That is a goddamn career.
And then Rob, I told you there's something you will like.
Randall Gritchick went to high school with awards.
Kelsey Winger.
They've known each other since like day one.
And so she was, when he was on the Rockies,
she was so stoked to cover him.
always keeps tabs on Randall.
He's an awesome dude.
His wife's awesome.
They're awesome people.
And here he is at the age of 35
with a casual 933 OPS for the Chicago White Sox
who are going dancing.
And I can't imagine some of the shit.
Trev, think about when you come to the warehouse,
and I'm sorry to do this to you and our listeners.
When you come to the warehouse
and you have to straighten out all the young pups at our office
who don't know what they're doing,
You and Dan Rourke talking investing was maybe my favorite conversation of the year.
I put stuff in that 401k yo, and you were like, all right, we need to talk.
Think about some of the shit Randall Gritchick's scene, probably teaching these guys to become men.
And who knows if they're listening, but they'll listen in a couple years and they'll appreciate,
well, Randall Gritchick has been to the Chicago White Sox team.
So literally putting an end to awards, partially with Kelsey Winger, partially with that bleep, Randall Gritchie.
Come on now
We did it coach
Another season in the books
Crazy crazy
I know I try to do it as much as I can
But Rob Chiracco producing
Dalton Feeley getting all the info for us
Letting us know every
Diamondbacks that's swing that's happened
The past couple days
I know more about Tim Taw than I need to
And I mean technically it's the last regular season
Ep when we talk to you guys next
we're going to be talking playoff matchups.
Yawks.
Oh, my God.
Thank you guys so much.
You guys are the best.
Playoffs.
Playoffs.
Wild card.
Rob.
Alex Bregman, in the lineup today.
What a stud.
Don't!
What a mask on.
People are going to hate that my job now is to sit and watch four baseball games a day.
And then talk.
talk about them afterwards. It's not as easy as it sounds, people. The bat gets tight.
I might be sanding some outdoor furniture while I'm doing it. I don't know. Shirt off.
