We're not going to do that. We're going to talk some 2026 players. And like I've now teased, Rob got in the lab. We've got a version of 20 questions featuring some MLB guys. We've got kind of like a Bar-night trivia game. We've got some higher or lower. So we're going to get into it all,

kind of test out our knowledge. And if you are someone who YouTube's or a lot of people watch on TV, did you know that, Trev? I didn't know that. It's okay. So you're just like, I guess it's just, yeah, YouTube app on the TV. Yeah, you're all over it. You know.

Yeah, my kids do that. That makes sense. No, it's fun. Yeah. And like we, you know, we have smart people that work here now and they'll track and they'll be like, oh, you know that episode. And let's dive into it, Bob Opetek. Okay. All right. So our first game is going to be whose card is this? and so you guys are going to be working together to solve this multiple choice of this baseball savant player's card. Okay. I like the first one you gave us, like, as a practice one, I feel like I had that one. Yeah, that's because it's like Luis Arise versus Raphael Devers.

So we've up the Annie. What do we? I mean, we've got a good page here. We got the negatives are high. they chase and a horrible OAA. Yes. That's kind of a giveaway. So this one,

the choices are C.J. Abrams, Jake Bowers, Danesby Swanson, and Gavin Sheets. So Danzby Swanson's automatically eliminated. That's fantastic. I think Jake Bowers isn't a big chase guy. So I feel like we could eliminate him.

Dalt's nervous about that. I can't look at Dahl. And also I'm going to go sprint speed here, 28.5. Oh. 80 percentile, so I'm taking Gavin Sheets out. So this is CJA. Are we? I think it's C.J. Abrams.

The OAA, the sprint speed, I think that makes sense. And also, by the way, you know, Rob and Dalt threw it out. Do you and Trev want to compete against each other on this or be a team? And I don't know if it's because we got a big warehouse weekend, but we're both kind of like, let's team up on this. Let's be allies in the force. Let's lock in CJA. Locking in C.J. Abrams.

and that is correct. Boom. Boom. How's his second basement going? I haven't seen any highlights or low lights, I feel like. That's a good sign. I saw something really good on him. Online someone was like, if we didn't have savant pages,

if this was 1998, and we were just looking at his offensive statistics, he'd be a top three MVP candidate. I was like, dang, like you're kind of right. It is funny, man. Like Sunny Gray, Cy Young would be a big conversation. conversation in the AL right now. He's leading in wins and just having a good year. But yeah, I'm surprised. I'm sure some of the, I say nerds in a sweet way, whether it's

jolly or foolish, like redoing old award seasons. I feel like, I feel like that's an easy win. I guess maybe we need to do that. Could be a long off season. Let's do another card. All right. Here we go. Ooh. Now this card... What a blood red. Cody Clemens, Trey Turner, Gavin Sheets, or Matt Olson.

The red is the expected slug at 97th, barrel percentage 95th, average exit velo, at 94th percentile. Sprint speed is down. Nineth. A percentage down. Tough,

tough draw for Trey. Trey's going to be out on this because of the sprint speed being nine. I think these outs above average is where I'm going and that's my key. So I think, again, this is a 93rd percentile outs above average guy. I'm taking Gavin Sheets out. Trey Turner's out because of the sprint speed. Cody Clemens has. How's Cody picking it?

How's Cody picking it? He's our best defender besides Byron Buxton. So the outsub of average, I don't know if he's racked up that many because he's played some first base, second base outfield. This is definitely between him and Matt Olson. But the top, like the exit VLO, max exit VLO, let me look at the walk rate. This is, to me, I'm looking at Matt Olson. Well, Trev. I'd be shocked if it was coached.

You are correct. Yeah. Okay. It is Matt Olson. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Outs above average and first base still throws me off sometimes, although now we've got

that new picks metric or something. But this is a good baseball Savon page. Matt Olson, great player. All right. Next one. Here we go. Here we go. Now we're in it a little bit.

Colson Montgomery, Mooky Betts, Nick Gonzalez, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Okay. The sprint speed is becoming a quick 87th percentile red. My guy Vladito, this is genuine. I love the way he runs the bases, but I don't think he's coming in at that 87th percentile sprint speed. I don't either, but he goes max effort and I respect it. He does, man. And I think when they're playing good ball, I think that matters. I think the team feeds off of it. Seeing one of your guy guys hustle like that, that matters, Yankees.

So we also have, again, the outs above averages, the worst. It's the first percentile. Crazy. I already have a lean on this one because I feel like I've looked at this guy's savant page and was very surprised that the defense was looking like this. Vladdy's out. I think I'm taking mookie. It just doesn't feel like a mooky page.

I'm taking mooky out of this because he's a best. better defender than that. So this is going to go up between Nick Gonzalez and Colson Montgomery. Nick Gonzalez is having a pretty good offensive year. My initial lean, Jake, on this was Colson Montgomery. The bat speed being a 28th percentile throws me off a little bit. Yeah, and I always, barrel, hard hit squared up is always an interesting dance for me, because, like, my generic brain lumps those in as they should always be close.

And for a lot of players, they're not. I would say exit velo, the way Colson Montgomery hits the ball, I have him being an exit velo guy that I'm leaning Nick Gonzalez on this. And I know the pirates have moved him around, and I know there's been questions about their defense that I could see him getting hurt there. I didn't think it would look like this. But I, if it comes down to those two, which I agree with you, which, again, maybe there's a sneaky mooky in here.

But I don't think so. because defensively he's still been good. Yeah, and in the K-percentage. The K percentage will be higher for Colson Montgomery. Right now it's at 76 percent. I think I think Colf is striking out a little bit more than that. So I'll go, I'll go Nick Gonzalez. You guys are three for three.

Come on. Yeah. Come on. We know Bob. I look at a lot of savant pages. Paul knowers numerous. What can if, here's a question, Rob. Yeah.

Is there any way to like, let's put mookies. up real quick to see what the difference is or is that not in this? Yep, here you go. This is Moogie Betts's page. Okay, so yeah, see the outs above average better. Okay. Wow. Still a lead at a lot of things.

Yeah. Damn, chase rate with percentage K percentage outs above average. He'll be playing he's got a lot of baseball left coming this year. All right. Next question. Our fourth one of this. We got Alec Bohm,

Gonzalez again. Oh. Michael Massey. Bryson's stop. The red squared up percentage at 95th, with percentage, with percentage 87th, K percentage 87th, the blue, the outs above average down at the third. Arm strength down at 19th percent and walk rate is down at the 20th percentile. This is the hardest one we've had so far.

Okay. Well, it's not Nick Gonzalez, so I can get us one step closer. That's true. Nick Gonzalez, we just guessed out on that one. I think Michael Massey's a better defender than a negative 9 third percentile. I have him being, I have Michael Massey being kind of a strikeout guy. I don't know. Again, we're thinking this out loud because you're right.

This one is tricky. It feels like one of the, my initial was Bome. me too because stott has to grade out better defensively than third you you would assume you would assume that um the arm strength kind of threw me off i thought bone might have had a better arm than that and stott would be faster than that i think stott's out i think stott's out as well i think michael massy's probably faster than that as well i think alec bomb how fast is the answer you're and yeah i mean this gives up a kind of a kind of a contact hitter profile

like not a great defender, not very fast, but a pretty good contact hit, which that would be Alec Bone. And you guys are correct. Alec Bone 4 for 4. Can we go 5 for 5 in whose card is this?

Whose card is? Whose card is it? Let's see. Here we go. On this card, we got a Zika Duran, Bryce Terrang, Colson Montgomery and Caleb Durbin. The red is outs above average in the 98th percentile walk rate at the 89th percentile,

sprint speed at the 83rd percentile, the blue of his card, swing length down at the eighth percentile, bat speed down 22nd and arm strength 24th. Who is this player? I have a question about swing length. Longer swing length Better?

Shorter swing length, better? I think it depends your approach. On your Savon page, I don't think it cares about your approach. I think traditionally the longer swings are more of the big bopper power hitters. Again, I don't know, for me, that one, I don't know how that, you know, some guys change their swing with two strikes and stuff that I'm not sure how. that lands on the average. Well, it lands low. This could get into a much broader conversation about, like, I don't know.

Are you going to bring up back? You're going to bring everything's back. Everything's back, dude. Ground balls are good again. Everything's back. Fastball's located down and away are back. Playing baseball is back. Remember when running the bases was out for a couple years?

I got, who needs that? Just hit three run homers. The Brewers were like, hey, how about we start playing baseball and we just beat every fucking team? Okay. This is a tougher one. So the else above average is 98th percentile. So this, to me, eliminates Colson Montgomery.

I think so. I have Bryce Turang and Caleb Durbin is very good defenders. Yes. Zeke Duran in my mind, I don't have good or bad in my mind. So it makes me think maybe middling. He's hyperversatile. Like, he's jumped in. a lot of spots for Texas this year,

but that makes me think he hasn't been able to rack up OAA. And I know his... I think Bryce Trang has a long swing. He looks like the bat is huge. You're kind of right. And Caleb Durbin, love you, short king. What? You're not going to say it.

You're not going to say it could be small. You're not going to say what I think. Just shorter arms. I'm thinking out loud, people. Don't fault me for going for, you know, being in my brain a little. Some girls like that. Colson feels like, I think we can eliminate Colson fully.

And Zeke's out, OAA, I think you're right. Arm strength. Does Terang have a stronger arm than 24th percentile? That one's tricky to me. You said he's Bobby Witt, too, bro. I love Bryce Terang. I truly, truly do. And Cooper Pratt's not running balls out,

So, you know, maybe we put terrain short. Man, I'll tell you what. I opened up that clip and I expected to be like Pat Murphy, my manager, I love this guy. And then I was like, yo, you're taking Cooper Pratt out for that. Like he kind of, he just lost it off the stick and then he ran it out. That was tough, man. I'm back and forth on it. I think Pat was probably looking for something.

You know, he likes to do that. Yes. He likes to make sure people. are playing 100% every single pitch and even if it's not something that you meant to do or like, you know,

so I think he was looking for it. I agree though. I think it was a little much by our guy. But you're right. If you rule with authority, um, power's power. I hate that we're coming down to swing length.

I also, I also feel like terrain has good bat speed. You know what I'm saying? percentage, I would say, I know Terang strikes out. So this does kind of line up with that. And I'm not, Caleb Durbin's K percentage kind of escapes me right now as well. I think it's between those two. If I had to guess, Terang and Durbin.

Yeah, this one's tough. The outs above average, I know, yeah, so Caleb Durbin's really good too. I think I'd rather go down with Terang. I mean, the average exit Velo, like Durbin was really rough for the first half of this season. And I don't picture him being an exit Velo king where when Terang pops one, like that's, he has that in his back.

The swing length is crushing me right now. If swing length wasn't on this, I think we've already picked Bryce Terang. The arm strength is interesting. I guess he doesn't have to. We play second base, so that makes sense. Which is a fatal flaw of arm strength, the arm strength tab,

because he could probably throw it. faster but doesn't need to. Yeah, we need to work on that one and some of the sprint speed stuff. Well, Jake, I'm trying to go five for five here, Pop. I know you are. So what do you think I'm doing? Trying to tank this? Don't speed it up so much. Let me marinate on it a little

bit. Maybe. Because he was Tarrang walk like that. Take your time. Sometimes the before is better than the During, you know? I have Caleb Durbin as a really good defender, but I have Bryce Tarrang as a 98th percent. Entile guy.

It's noted is I can confirm a lot of these for Terang and for Durbin. I'm a little in between the literally swing length is the only thing holding me back and I think we're being shortest and who knows. And we don't even understand what it is. When are they actually measuring that? Yeah, exactly. That's going to break our hearts a little bit if it's Caleb. But Bryce feels safer.

Going with Bryce. Well, guys, you are correct. Five for five. in whose card is this? Let's see, Caleb. I hope he has the longest swing in the league. Okay, also short. Okay, short swing.

Oh, my gosh. Look at the top of you. Exit Velo. You crushed it right there. Yeah, that makes sense. Yeah. That makes sense. I mean, think about, you know,

some of the big boys and the exit Velo they have in this league to be... The bottom part of this, like from swing length down, or you can square it up down, they're almost identical. Very similar. The top part of the chart is what changed.

This pitching one, I kind of didn't think I was going to be into. I don't know if that's my hitter coming out.

Oh, is this not the strikeout locations cracks me up. Strikeout locations? That's every punchout of this pitcher. That's the first clue. Of his career? This season. This season. He has 216.

He gives it away a lot. Who is it? I mean, I can't just, I mean, I have 20 questions, right? Get it. No. You can't. get it on one. Well, how many people have punched out over 200 people?

It's Dylan cease. It's Cease and Ms. Mizz and is Schlittler done it? Does he have two? In my head, he does. Gavin Williams has two. I don't think Schlett does. This to me looks like Mizz because of it's top of the zone, fastballs,

no I think he's like the overall numbers are just okay okay we got him up there 435 144 and two thirds innings pitched Dalt from the top rope I laughed because when you said Erored before the first page I just texted Rob Erod question mark so I was thinking the exact same thing you were in Jake I mean Robbram Framber Framber his strikeout numbers are so steady

over his previous years that this is this is like the only dip. That's interesting. The curve spin, I think, was the biggest one for me. I'm like, okay, who's slaying that curve ball up there? And now, again, that's where I kind of like with the wear your strikeouts, that opening slide. Like, yeah, that's Framber.

Like, yeah, he'll run some sinkers up in a way that get past guys, but he bangs that curve ball down and in. Okay. So what did we get there? 35 points. You got four points there, so you guys are up to 14. Okay. All right.

Oh. Oh. All right. Here we go. Okay. I mean, I've already eliminated some people because that's a dark hat. Nice. 144 strikeouts, 60% of them down, 12% of them.

I need the balls. Top of the zone. This one, this. Yeah. This is what I like. The pitch he finishes with. the most. Should I give that away?

Let me look at the... No. I like analyzing this. I have a guess already, but I'm not going to say it. I love it. I think he's on your team. You think this is a Yanke? Ooh, that kind of looks like a Yankee hat. 144.

This could be a left ear or righty right now. My first guess right now off the bat, 144 strikeouts. I was looking at the silhouette, which I guess is kind of cheating. I have Cam Slittler, but... I think Cam. Cam's got more strikeouts in that. You got more strikeouts in that? Yeah.

Because that's pretty high amount of strikeouts. No, I mean, Cam's right around two. Is he? Yeah. He's been toe-to-to-toe with CIS this year. I'm wondering, Max has a clue. Let's get a clue.

Because, yeah, we got pitches all over the strike. This guy can pitch. We got pitches all over the strike zone. We also got some pitches like down in the dirt, which tells me they've got something nasty. Cam. So here's half of this player's card. Also doesn't have to be a Yankee.

This doesn't help me at all. It's just a good pitcher. This is a good pitcher. But they're good. Expected ERA is a three. So, I mean, he's got to be around here. They don't walk people. I think that's a good, I think that's a good one from this.

They don't walk people. Yeah, this is just, this is a high-level pitcher. I mean, is Sunny Gray? Is that a possible answer for this one? Now I'm looking at the faded hat way too much. We did this with another JM baseball game. One of Jolly's games, he would do this, and we would just get caught looking at the picture.

I think that's kind of... Yeah. Can I say something? Say something. Looks like a white guy. I think that's fair. I don't think that has to be so controversial in our society. Yeah.

No, I could... I still kind of like freed. Ryan Weathers would be a sneaky one here. Is Freed pitched enough to throw 144 K? No, probably not. Probably not. I have this as, again, I'm still thinking Camers. Right now it's Cammer Sunny in my mind.

144 is a lot of strikeouts. I think we need more. I think we need more. All right, here is the whole card on the screen. Yeah. Curve spin. Okay, fastball's sitting in 95, basically. Curve spins up there.

So you're having a hell of a year. I still like both of the guys that I have in my mind. It's either Cam or Sunny. I'm leaning Sunny right now, but I got to stop looking at the picture.
