and Trev. Jolly olives, Chris Rose, Trevor Plouffe, BBT. Yep. And we are coming live from our All-Star Break House. Yes. The Corona House, the Mountain Dew House. If any of you follow any of us on social media, you've seen it by now. If not, pretty crazy. We got a nice setup down in the ATL. And per usual in this episode, you can hear a little bit in my voice. We actually behaved last night, and I can't believe I'm going to start with giving you credit. We were looking around the room last night.

Should we hop to another party? Should we get another drink? Trevor Plouf said, you know what, guys? We should probably go home. We should probably go home. We did. So, Trev, you kind of bitched out. Thoughts?

I'm running on fumes, and the bed was calling my name. Although Chris Rose was in my ear, like the little devil. Like, you know, we got a long two days. ahead of us. We better get... True, though. It's true. It is true.

And I'm happy we did it because now I am awake for this. Because last year didn't go so hot. It did not. It did not. Gere crochet didn't get traded during the season. How stupid is that? Yeah.

Last year, you missed the festivities because I believe you were in Italy, right? Yeah, it was in Italy. That's tough. With my now fiance. Yes. Oh. Yeah. I'm not talking to you about that.

I'm not snapping for that. I'm happy for you, but work first. Hold on. If we change the draft order and if you move up, do we get better seating at the wedding? Oh, interesting. Okay. He's like, you're not. It'll look the same when you're sitting your ass in Los Angeles.

It's really just family and friends. I just learned that you're all invited. So I got to fucking work that in, I guess. We'll be there. Should we go over rules? Yes, Chris, we need them. Okay, the rules are pretty simple. We're going to go eight rounds.

So we will each pick eight players. 32 players will be on the move. Goals to get as many points as possible. If we get a correct match, because we have to pick a player going to a team, you get 10 points. If a player just gets traded, but to the wrong team, you still get five points.

There's also incentive because we want bigger names to get moved in this show. You get an additional five points. If the player made the All-Star team this year, even if they don't play, but they still made it, like if you wanted to trade, Alex Bregman, you get a plus five points.

And if the player moved has won a major award, that's a Cy Young, an MVP, a rookie of the year, then he'll also get five points. So I'll give you a, for example, if you say that Aaron Judge gets traded from the Yankees to the Marlins and sure enough, it happens, Joe's about to run up here. Yo, bro.

He was just here. He was? Yeah. Okay. So you would get 10 points for getting it right. You would get an additional five points because he made the All-Star team this year and five points because he has been named at MVP. It's not five points per MVP.

Okay? So there you go. You would get 20 points. Thanks, Bob. Nice. Hope that makes sense. The order of the draft is pretty simple based on last year's results. Trevor, you will be on the clock first.

Jolly, I'm going to go second since you weren't here last year. I tied this Jelfi. And then you're going to go third. And Jake on our snake draft. means I'm last. Yeah. I think you like the wraparound, though. I think you do.

Yeah. Yeah. I was going to call it something else, but I've, it's... Where were you going to call it? I was going to call it the reach round. Yeah, it's probably not best. And, yeah, if you go through the history of this episode, there's been some bloodshot eyes, there's been some raspy voices.

Yep. And I think Chris Rose, I think it was... I don't want to say our first bonding opportunity, but I think it was the first time I pushed some limits with you. Oh. When was this? This was Colorado All-Star game. And at one point, I just, in the middle of the draft, I just said,

I was such a big fan of yours on intentional talk. And Jimmy lost his mind. I was a big fan of years at MLB Network. Did you guys plan that? You guys are so cute. That was us. So, with that, thank you, everyone. It's interesting.

Yankees. I'm not going to put him there, though. I'm going Eugenia Swares to lead the board off. And I'll tell you what I want to see. By the way, I mean, he's having a phenomenal. If he's not an all-star, what's going on? He's an all-star, right? Yeah.

Okay. 889 OPS. He's got 31 homers, already 78 runs driven in. For the Diamondbacks, who I believe just announced that they are shopping everybody. So I like this pick for me. Milwaukee is a team I would love for him to go to. Like, that would be a dream scenario for me. I feel like it is an acquisition they would make.

I don't think he's going to cost a ton. He is a pure rental, 2026 free agent. Then there's Chicago, and then there's the Yankees. That's kind of like the three teams I'm thinking. I'm going to put him on the Cubs, though. Eugenio Scores to the Cubs.

I just, back to the NL Central, they need to go. Like, their offense is great, but adding Gino at third base instead of shopping. there, I think just lengthens the lineup. So I'm going Gino Swarres to the Cubs. Where did everybody else have them going? Just out of curiosity.

Cubs was my two, and I liked that. I had them going to the Tigers just because they have a really good farm system, and I feel like they have the pieces to get it done. I had them going to the Brewers, and the only reason I didn't was because of the money situation. Yeah, so that's... I wrestled with it. Tigers, to me, McKinstries filled, like, filling it nicely at third base.

I think they would probably put the third base position lower on their pace. liking order. Okay. Nobody liked him on the Yankees. Nope. I did not have him going on the Yankees. Okay. Nope.

Yeah, I don't either. I think, yeah, I think it's Cubs or Detroit. Yeah, Trev, you think Detroit's out of the game on him. I'm still in. Okay. I'm still in. Look, I think Detroit, Milwaukee are the two more interesting fits for him, but I think the Cubs are like very into 2025.

and even though I should. So I'm finding extra point getters. So Ryan O'Hern will be playing in the All-Star game on Tuesday. the question, who really needs like a DH? Who could really have them? Well, there's a team that is very much in contention that doesn't like adding a ton of payroll, but does like moving bodies to and from their team

at this time of year. In fact, they just picked up a reliever from the Baltimore Orioles, Mr. Baker. I think Ryan O'Hern is headed down to Tampa Bay. They only have to pay him about $3 million the rest of the year if it gets toward the end. end of the month. Only fellow All-Star Jonathan Orando will have a higher

O'Hern on this team. He doesn't give you a tremendous pop. I think he's got 11 homers or something like that. And I just think it's like a strategic move. Give them more balance in their lineup. I think they could certainly use a guy who can drive the ball a little bit

more and a good high OPS. And he doesn't cost much. And he won't cost them anything in terms of prospect value either. So Ryan O'Hern is headed to Tampa Bay. Feels like one of the smart teams are going to go for it. The way he hits against Ritey's.

I actually, I like him for Milwaukee, just because he's got Milwaukee energy to me. Like, you mentioned he's a DH, but he could go out to the corner outfield for a game. He could play for his base for a game. Like, very, very Brewers, let's make this work. Yeah. That would have worked.

So that's it. And if he leaves the L. East, that'd be fine. You're okay with it. That would be fine. Wow. All right. He's from Dunedite, Florida. He's from where?

Dunedden. Yeah. Maybe it goes the J's. Oh. But they play their games in Toronto. Yeah. Well, not for 20-20. All right, y'all.

What do you got? Good insight. Great. I feel like I'm having a tough time figuring out who's going to be a surefire seller. Because so many teams are like three games under. Yeah. And, like, might still buy. Yeah.

A lot of them are like where the all-stars are that you can pick up easy points. Hey, dumb quick question. Could Swaros be a Mett? Probably not. Okay. They have like five minutes. That was a late-night thought for me. What's up with Swaggy V?

I'm going to, I'll play it a little risky and I'll go for just a pure trade that I think will happen with no guaranteed points attached to it. Phillies need bullpen. Phillies, they have one of the worst bullpen years in baseball. I pulled this stack because I thought it was kind of fun. Eight different Phillies have a save this year, and none have more than eight. So they've just been passing that roll around and haven't been able to find any rhythm there

since Alvarado got suspended. I have Kyle Finnegan going to the Phillies. Kyle Finnegan. Yeah, he's been locking down a lot of saves from the Nats. I think they're like one of the five guaranteed sellers. And he, I think they signed for like a really, low-cost deal. Feels like a Dumbarowski guy to just make a quick swap with.

I don't know how much the Phillies can do with their pharmacism because they really want to protect guys like Andrew Painter and maybe Mick Abel. So this feels like a nice, easy trade to help them out where they really need it. So I'll just go for something that I think could possibly be a 10-pointed. I'll take Caliphon again to the Phillies. Okay. Don't hate it, Jolly.

Put him where I wanted to go. Let's go. I think it's the right answer because I was trying to find, is there any team with a short right field that the Josh Naylor value prop is better? And, like, Milwaukee comes into play. a lot of the teams we've mentioned already, I think it's just clear as day.

Send them to Seattle. Like, my goodness. Thank you. Like, they need it. And as I was just going down the other teams, like the first base slash DH position could get, could become a situation. And at Seattle, it's not.

And just go get Josh Naylor. So Josh Naylor to the Seattle Mariners. To end the first round, thoughts? Okay. That's where I had them. Seattle consistently bottom three in terms of offensive production in first base. And like it's a true rental, like, it just works. Seattle would love the way he plays.

Where do you put them? Do you put them behind Cal or do you keep Randy there or do you do? Put them behind Cal and that's the other part of it. Like get Cal Raleigh some protection the rest of the season. Once you get past the top four hitters in Seattle, it's pretty light. It also gives them an option. I know this isn't what they want to do, but like, hey, maybe you could slide Julio down to five. And does anything happen there?

Like, you can do some different things where right now their lineups, although contributing more this year, it's been limited. Yeah. Bring in Josh Naylor. That's a simple one. That's a good one. Thank you. Let's flip it over. So I'll begin round two, correct?

Really? Wow. Really? Jolly said no. Mets need some more arms. You can't have enough arms come October. There's the whole Zach Gallen had his two best starts in New York this year, although he just had another good start.

Interesting. I think the Mets, like all these teams we're about to talk about, they're looking for arms. I think with what they can do with their pitchers, I think Zach Gallen, down the stretch, playoff experience. I know it's not his most impressive statistics. Mets tap into Zach Allen, milk in the stands in October. Okay. Good.

People were wondering if we were going to control your guys' narrative.

And he goes, about two days after the deal, Jimmy had a post ripping the replay. He's like, yep. We're still alive, baby. Hey, I'm a company, man, MLB, whatever you need. You pay it? I'll say it. Okay. Just kidding.

So none of us had Gino go into the Yankees. Correct. But I do have the Yankees getting a third baseman because I don't think they can do the second half. This is fantastic. With Oswald Pross at third base. Chipper Jones? Who are you bringing in?

Do you know what Oswald Prosses is OPS Plus is? Okay. 62 games? 41. 29. Oh, God. Yeah, it's bad. Okay.

Can't measure heart. You. This guy can't play the position with the best of him, but he's been hitting, and he fits the Yankees mold. They lead the league in walk percentage. This guy walks a ton. Plays for the Angels currently. Yeah, a good one.

They might do maybe a soft sell. I thought the Yankees might go after him in the off season. Tainted Love. There's a side quest going on over here. Yon Moncada, going from the Angels to the Yankees. Feels like an easy win. I don't know if they want to trade Spencer Jones or any of the big dogs. They wouldn't have to do that to get this deal done.

I don't know if the angels are going to sell because I don't ever know what they're going to do. You never know. How excited would you be with that? I used to be excited about that. I would still get excited. Sure.

Someone talked me off on Moncada that the prospect of that old White Sox switch hitter get some Yankees juice did excite me and now I'm not. But third base has become like our lowest priority. We need pitching bad. The only thing that would worry me about Mankata is that like three days after showing up, he would pull his buttocks or something like that.

The Yankees. The Yankees have had a history with a lot of injuries that I don't know. He's also too handsome for the Yankees. They're an ugly bunch. Wow. And the truth comes up a guy like that. What happened to the California Yankees? You normally say it's all these Cali boys.

Rosie. So the Cubs are in need of a starter, but we often talk in the baseball landscape of a good way to help your starting pitching is to continue to fortify your bullpen. Now, their bullpen has actually been pretty good, and Daniel Palencia has been one of the really good stories this year. The question is, if you're able to out. outless the Brewers and the Cardinals and to some degree the Reds to win the Central.

How good do you feel giving him the ball in the ninth inning of a playoff game? Multiple playoffs. Pretty good. I feel. He is filthy, so pretty good. In addition, he is. He's really good. Yeah.

But, I mean, there's nothing wrong. There's nothing wrong with saying, hey, go get some tough outs in the eighth inning. We're going to need that, too. Yeah. And like I said, with everything gets condensed in the playoffs. everybody gets to Panicsville. So starting pitchers, sometimes they don't see the fifth inning.

They just don't. So you need as many good arms as you got back there. Plus, the Cubs have Presley, Thielbar, Brazier, Keller, all guys that have been big part of what they've done so far in the first half that are going to be free agents after this year. So I want a guy who's not just a rental, who's going to be there to help us in 2025 and beyond, which is why Emmanuel Claisse is going to,

to end up on the north side. I knew you were going to take it before anybody else did. Holy crap. This is a huge, because in part, it's a perfect matchup, trade partner-wise. The Cubs have a couple of outfielders down in the minor leagues who've been knocking on the door for years, and who knows what's going to happen with Kyle Tucker. But there's limited space available out there in Wrigley and the Ivy. So Owen Cassie, we'll see in Cleveland soon enough, buddy, because Emmanuel Claisse is headed

to the north side. What's the matter with that? I think he gets traded. I think Cleveland does... No, I knew you're going to take him. I'm going through similar things with the twins and our back end of the bullpen. I don't want it to happen.

they're always going to have to deal with this guy for years. Then he got traded. Then he got traded again. And now he's being traded again. From Baltimore to the New York Mets. Gregory Soto. Over 10Ks per 9. So it'll give you a little bit of swing and miss still.

He has pitched in the playoffs. to varying degrees of success. Okay. And I just think, you know, it's not an earth-shattering move, but one that I think can help you. Congratulations. It feels like a David Stern's move. Okay.

He'll go out there and find some bullpen. They do need bullpen. Yep. And he's having a nice year so far. So are you okay with that? Yeah. I watched him pitch against us with the Phillies. Had some pretty nasty stuff.

Good. Yeah. So I'm not upset. Yeah, I know. The only thing is that sometimes, like, he'll come into a critical. juncture in the sixth or seventh inning of a playoff game. And as a fan, you're sitting there going, oh, my God.

I know he just signed. He's got that club option, but he's been good for a while now. and I don't know how many pieces they really have to sell and I don't know if everything's in the cards this year for your Kansas City Royals I've been playing some pretty bad baseball the past couple months but I have to figure out where I'm putting them because I don't think I want to do Phillies again

I don't know if they'll just do a straight-up reunion with him Yeah Is in-division trade crazy? I don't know how much better the Tigers can get especially with the bullpen. But I'll put them on the Tigers. Okay. I think it's a good move.

I think it's like kind of, they're already rich with talent. Sure. And maybe they could use someone who's a little bit more proven. They got a lot of young guys there. A decent contract. They got money. I like Will Vest at the back end,

And instead, Gialito is now their hottest starting pitcher. Chapman is here in Atlanta. Alex Bregman is back, and Jaron's been hitting the shit out of the ball. So now, what do we do to help this team? Right? I mean, why not? It's the American League. It doesn't feel like there are great teams.

There are some really solid teams. But this could be it for the taking for them. So what's the area where they need? I would say outside of a roll as Chapman, they don't have a ton of swing and miss at the back end of their bullpen. So let's get them some help there. So I'm going to go,

Sir Anthony Dominguez. He's going to move from Baltimore. Why not? He's back over 12Ks per 9. Nice. He still can be a little bit of hit and miss. I'm not talking about swinging miss. I'm talking about hitting miss out there on the mound.

But he does have playoff experience with Philadelphia. He has been great at times, and he's been Orible at times. But I'd be willing to go with that from the right side. I mean, Chris Paddock is not going to be there, I don't think. And this guy, I think, should get traded as well. He's been great for the clubhouse,

and he's been a great player for them. I am going to go with Harrison Bader. And I'm going to put him in a spot where we've been asking them to make a move for years. I'm going to put him on the Philadelphia Phillies. Oh, okay. Yes. So he and Marsha, Platoon.

and center. Put him out there. He can still play a very, very good defensive outfit. And he's been raking as of late. He's got postseason pedigree. And think about, like, I mean, you know the swag there. Yeah. Like, he fits the Phillies.

Yeah. Really does. I think he'd eat up playing in that atmosphere. So, yeah, Harrison Bader, go play center for the Phillies. He's had a great year, hasn't he? It's been a lot of fun to watch. Yeah. He's come on with the bat as of late.

He hit like four homers in a week and kind of up his numbers. But he's, he's good. He's been putting together good at bats. And he's a dog, man. Like, he's a real deal big leaguer. Like, he's good. Almost 10 years in the show. Yeah.

Let's go. All right. This one is, this one's going to be interesting, I think, for a lot of people. The catching position is not good offensively in this sport. It's just not. And there's two teams out. West who desperately need help behind the plate. And so I'm going to get one of them some help.

The Giants have like a 550 OPS from the catching position this year. Only the Astros are worse. And we look at San Francisco's got three pitchers that are in the All-Star game. They made the huge trade for Raphael Devers. It has yet to pay off handsomely. But we all know that he's a very, very good hitter. So anything that they can get, additionally in that lineup can help them take what has been a very good run in the first half

and keep them around. And they need this. They need to make a move. He's going to make $15 million each of the next three years. Sean Murphy is going back west to the Bay Area. Of course, he came from Oakland when they used to have baseball team. Not sure. I'm old enough to remember that.

I don't know if you guys are. So I think he's heading out. I know that San Francisco may be depleted themselves a little bit in the Devers deal, but Buster Posey, more than anybody else in this sport, knows what it means to have somebody reliable behind that dish. So Sean Murphy, going to San Francisco. It's interesting. Anybody?

I want Sean Murphy to be traded. I think it makes sense. Braves fans get very defensive at that concept, and I can't tell if it's just fandom, or if it's like we can have Murphy and Baldwin, and they're used to having two catchers. I'm very much trade him. And I think so many teams would be in and pay that price tag that I think it's a no-brainer.

But I can't tell from Braves fans if that's their heart or their brain. Drake Baldwin is really good. He's very, very good. I know. Some people will say, well, now you turn him into an everyday catcher. Does he get exposed in some areas? Maybe. But so what?

You're dealing. Find out. Very few teams have really one good option. offensive catcher, let alone two. So why not deal it? It's not happening this year, even though I said a month ago I thought it was going to happen. It's not going to. I like the idea of Buster Posey being like that shady dude who like anytime like a girlfriend

and a boyfriend have like relationship issues, he slides into the DMs. That's like what he's looking for chaos on rosters and he goes and expose it. I like that for him. Wow. I thought you. Oh, you have two. Oh, you have two catchers. and this young guy's taking over for the older guy a little bit. And they're not really treating you right?

Devers can train in the off season. You don't have to make him do it mid-season. I like Carlos Santana to the San Francisco judge. So a couple things, having watched him every day for every three years, it feels like, because he ends up back in Cleveland. First of all, even though he's 39, he's an exceptional first baseman. So you're good there. He has been, he's, you're going to plug him in.

and he'll give you decent numbers at this point. He doesn't move the needle a ton. It makes sense from Cleveland's vantage point. They've got a kid named CJ Kaffis, whom they can bring up, and he would play first base. So from that standpoint, it would make sense. I don't know how much it helps San Francisco offensively.

That's the one thing I worry about. Low risk, low reward. C.J. Kavis mentioned. C.J. Kaffis. You didn't have him? Wow. Okay. Just remember the name.

We were all sitting here. Yeah. When C.J. Kaffis is doing nice things in the show and you just be like... Do they, uh... Bryce Eldridge? Is that the giant super prospect? I wonder if that's... I wonder if that's Buster's next card.

And, yeah, Mike Soroka this year, a starter, his first time and second time through, first time through opponents have a 560 OPS, second time through a 705 OPS, third time through a 1.1.1.5 OPS.

So let's not let him do that third time? It's good I do. Maybe not even the second time. Mike Soroka for two innings, I think, can be a playoff weapon. And my final piece of evidence on this, my cousin Vinnie. Your Honor. Trade Trade uploading.

He's got three war in nine games, and he wasn't on a team in April and most of May. I think the Astros can go get him, get some reliable innings in their back end in because some of the starters, they're getting out there every fifth day are not guys that I think they won out there in the October games. I'm not saying that Adrian Houser is going to be the answer, but I think he is a better option, and it definitely wouldn't cost them much. And I just think I can see him in that uniform because he once wore that uniform. He was involved in a trade, I think, like 10 years ago with the Astros for a guy named Josh Hader.

Now, he's not slugging at the way that he did last year, where I think he had 19 homers. like you get that out of your catching position, you're feeling great. But I do think that Tyler Stevenson is heading west. I like that. San Diego.

I like it. I think that's a good. Some team believes in the upside. The Reds can, I don't want to say sell on a high note, but there's been some ups and downs that. Yeah. I like it. I think right now he's a sub-700 OPS, but he's shown it at times as long as he can stay healthy. He's a big body.

any stats seriously for a team that's on pace to lose 130 games. You just can't. Guys are not showing up acting like this is the big leagues. That's just the freaking truth. So change is scenery is great for him. That's my first pick. Next pick, I'm going to go a little different here.

I actually like this one. I stumbled upon it here. At first glance, this guy, this is a starting pitcher. His numbers don't look great. Then you realize where he plays, and then you look at the splits. Okay. At home, not good. 12 games started at home.

He's got a 6-6-8 ERA, and that's gross. But away, eight games started. He's throwing to a 304. Ooh. A guy he's got post-season acumen. He's already been in the ALE, so he's familiar with the division. I'm sending Luis Severino to the Blue Jays. Oh, okay.

Another contract kind of thing, too. Okay. He's got, yeah, he's got control, a player option through 2027. And, yeah, we talked about, for the same reasons we talked about before. There's a couple guys impending free agents there. He could kind of bridge that gap. And I think he needs, I think he needs to get out of the A's. A's had to spend money so they're going to get let out of the revenue sharing program.

Now they can trade it away. Good for me. And he wants out. Yeah. Dude, can you imagine pitching there? No. Can I tap into the McMahon move for second? Please.

Because whenever you're talking about a guy who spent his entire career. in Colorado. You have to talk about splits. 8.13 OPS at home, 664 on the road. You don't see the ball moving the same. Then you go on the road, all of a sudden the ball's moving more. And it affects you. Nathaniel Loz is a goofy guy. If you've spent any time with him, funny, kind of an oddball sort of. You think they're too serious in Texas. I do. I think their lineup, like you look around, Seeger and Simeon are focused. Like they're not the ha-ha-ha-ha sort of guys.

I think they need a little light. And Jack Peterson hasn't been good. or healthy. And he can provide that. But when you're not playing and you're not producing, it's hard to be the, all right, guys,
