And we'll sort through it all between the starting pitching. There's catchers. If you've ever wanted a catcher, it feels like there's four guys. good ones available, which I didn't, I've never seen that before. There's shortstop talk and Yankee calls and I'm hoping we don't get to.

Apparently there's a Dolby version. There's a laser. I'm like, I don't know, man. I thought I was getting the good ticket. I was like, this is sweet. Turns out I really wasn't, but it'll still be fun. catchers. Right.

Before we get into it. Are there any catchers actually available? Yes. Or are they just good catchers who are like, oh, that would be awesome on my team. And if people are making this shit up. Because your twins are a fool if they don't actually listen to Jeffers. Okay.

So let's just call him. Yeah. He's a trade. One. Didn't the Orioles come out and say Adley, they're listening on Adley or they're not like close to it? 1.4. Then we say Gabriel Moreno.

We say Shailangelo. I know you're the one that said, you're the one that said Gabriel Moreno. I do not have him on the table. How is he any different than Hunter Goodman or Shailangeloers? Like same thing. I mean, the athletics came out and said that like Langleyers wasn't talking extension at all saying they're a bad team that I think he is on the table.

Yeah, and he's a Boris guy. And then Hunter Goodman. I think he's the other one that's genuinely in the mix. I think how good he is performing with his road numbers. And the Rockies not having a timeline. I think there's smoke there. I just thought of something. I just thought of something.

foot guy, but you're not, not a foot guy. I'm really not a foot guy. Like, there's no part of me that's like, oh yeah, look at that foot. But like, if a nice foot is there, I don't know. Like, I'm not one of these doom and gloom Atlanta fans. Like, they're out there. But for me, you got to go get a starting picture.

You got to, like, I'm not saying it has to be scoble because I think that's just, like, asking AA for way too much. But, like, these little value, contracts and these like working with what you got in the minor leagues is not going to get us there like the bats are doing well but like good lord we we you got to give the fans one big name at this point so that's what i got got to go after starting 15 you got to get a big name like high leverage someone to replace strider you know what i'm saying anyways love it all the best coach treff the alana brave so i feel like we we didn't

get them well in our trade draft. I mean, A, there's a lot of stuff going on. And as I talk about Chris Rose and him letting it eat on Instagram, just maybe an all-time performance at this company during our trade draft. But the Atlanta Braves, they're definitely going to be in the mix. I guess where I get thrown off with Atlanta is, like, I'm going through some of their injuries right now. And like, are they going to get any starting pitchers back?

I'm not seeing a ton of help. on the way. Like Martin Perez, your guy is rehabbing. I guess do you think they need like the high level playoff guy? Do you think they need innings? Like what do you see? Yeah, look, I don't think we talk a lot about this core and kind of it aging out because they are still pretty young, but they do have a, you know, the position player core that you want to capitalize on essentially. We've got 2021. That was a beautiful thing. I share that with Braves fans. almost every single day. Yeah.

And I'm lucky for that. I'm, yeah, I mean, I get it. Do I think they have to have a starter? I'm not so sure they have to have one. Rinaldo Lopez back in the starting rotation. That obviously helps. Cookie Carasco, just bring up from Gwinnett a few different times. But if they really want to make a deep player, I'm with this guy.

Yeah. What was his name? Zach. Zach, I'm with you, Zach. I think there's actually going to be maybe more starting pitching out there than we think and I know that the Mets and Mets fans are saying we need to extend this guy

but a Clay Holmes would look real, real nice down there in Atlanta. So I could see something like that happening because there are a lot of the pitchers available are rentals. So they're not going to cost a ton. And maybe that's not what AAA wants. Maybe he wants a controllable guy.

But if you wanted to go out and get a guy that's a rental, you got options, man. You got Kevin Gospin. How about you return him? You're a brave again. The Blue Jays, have you looked at their record? Have you seen where they're at? Have you seen what their offense looks like?

I think he is on the block. He's a rental. You got Casey Mize, depending on what the Tigers end of. of doing. He's a rental. And then like I said, I think Clay Holmes is a really, really good option for them, a guy who I think is a good playoff pitcher because of the fact he keeps the ball on the ground. Now, he's coming off. I think he broke his ankle, right? So he's making one rehab start and then coming back to the big league. So you're just expecting him to kind of pick up where he

left off. But I think he fits really well. if not him, somebody, I do agree with Zach. Yeah, the Braves, Braves have had a weird kind of leading up to the All-Star break. I think if you start on June 9th, they were losing a lot of baseball games from 45 and 22 to 54 and 40. That was a lot of losing in Atlanta. They've come out of the break decent. And I guess I kind of didn't have them in this book, book boat. They need playoff in it.

Like if you look at like, okay, how are they going to navigate two, three rounds or a whole series? I guess mentally I didn't have them in that lane. And I think you're right. And I know we mentioned a couple nice Southern boys there. I think Dalt just threw some redetmers in the sheet. That's a guy that we've talked about. The angels don't trade anybody. I know.

I know. But maybe they do. They just got a new front office. But I'd, yeah, I guess interesting. that the Braves are going to make an impact move. And I think it probably starts with starter. Yeah, I think I think that's where they go. Again, you got to find a match.

You got to compete with other teams because everyone's looking for starting pitching. I do think that if I'm the Seattle Mariners, I look to swap out one of my starting pitchers for some offensive help. So I think they're in the mix too, and I don't know if a lot of people have them doing that. I think they're another team that will be willing to give up one of their major league starters ready to go for a major league bat. And those are the trades I love.

I hate prospect trades. Give me the freaking your best or your strength for my strength. That's what I want. There was a, I was going through some different trade articles. I believe it was Jim Bowden of, the athletic and had a George Kirby for Casey Schmidt deal that Schmit's got more years. Kirby, I would be a little surprised if that's how the Mariners traded away their starting pitching value.

I mean, Casey doesn't necessarily do it. But if he has fully broken out into this, it would be interesting. But for me, that I feel if I'm a Mariners fan in this starting pitch, depth we've ranted and raved about for years. If that's how we're cashing in a chip, I don't know. I think they'd want more than that. Well, they have like two of the top prospects in the game that are just right there. I'd ever really thought about Casey Schmidt to the Mariners.

How old is Casey Smith? It's like 26, 27? 27, I believe. I don't hate it for them. Who's starting every day at third base for them? JP, our guy? So JP has slid over. I know Emerson's been around.

I mean, they traded for Donovan, but he's been heard. And that's what in the article, they were saying, the other thing is Schmidt plays all over that he can, you know, they've had some first base struggles. They've had a lot that, and they've been looking for righty pop. So many teams looking for righty pop that I don't, I don't know, the Giants are trying to move a lot. We're getting derailed a little bit.

Good. But they've been watching the Mariners last couple of nights. Cal Raleigh, obviously Big Homer. Yeah. Right in Caleb Ferguson's face. Well, that's, that's karma, man. You say those things about Bill Miller. You know what?

Well, that was after. He said that after. He was mad about giving the homer up. Naylor had three hits last night. So like this, like I want this freaking, I want those two guys to get going. Cal, I texted the group chat last night. I was watching Cal with a really, really good at bat, worked the count bat. I don't, whatever.

We're getting sidebarred. The Mariners do need offensive help. And I don't mind that trade. I don't know how we got there. but Dalton what did I just see you do? Did you just mix two energy drinks? Yes. This is what I was hoping for.

I'm sure we're going to talk about some more impact pitchers. We've got a couple of twins ones on here. I guess let's do it. Hey, so this is Tratton from Iowa. I'm a twins fan. Especially after the loss today, Cleveland, I feel like that the twins should either sell or they should try to build for next year.

One point of emphasis is should they keep Joel Ryan? I think they should, especially for Pablo Lopez coming back next year. I think that's going to add some death to that rotation. Ryan Jeffers, more than likely going to be traded. I could be fine with him getting traded. But yeah, just try to build for next year is what I would like to see the twins do, especially adding some arms in the bullpen for next year and a couple arms in the rotation as well.

Treb, these are your boys. Look, it's just, we're in such a weird spot as a franchise. I've mentioned this plenty of times throughout our show this year. Like, Tom Polet taking over, wanting to earn the fans' trust back, really, you know, makes this trade deadline different. If this was Tom's third or fourth year in control and he had the trust of, the Polet family had the trust of the people, I think they do approach this different.

I think for sure Jeffers is traded. I think they heavily consider trading Joe Ryan. But unless this team continues what they've done after the break, which is just lose. They won the first game out and they lost four in a row. And if they end up in the next two weeks

just playing abysmally, then I can see it working out differently. But if they're in the hunt whatsoever, two games back of a wild card, they're not going to be trading because he doesn't want to lose more fans. He's trying to gain them back. Now, the only one I will say

that I continue to flip-flop on is Ryan Jeffers. They drafted two catchers. with their first two picks this year. Von Lacky, who's, you know, they think is a couple years away. Right.

Like they, if you're drafting, with where the MLB drafts gone, if you draft a kid like that with the third pick, you expect to see him in about two years, which is nuts, but good. You know, so I think that

Jeffers is an interesting candidate. He's a Boris guy. I don't know what kind of extension he's looking for or like, what his deal in free agency would be because I do think if they twins could sign it'd be a smart sign bridge that gap

you know if it's a if it's a three year deal two year deal whatever it would be I think he's gonna look for more than that and free agency though I don't know if I don't know the catcher market enough to really settle down and say hey twins offer him this and he'll accept it again Boris guy I just

I don't think that's going to happen I think we're too far away from that so he's the one guy I could see happening. The rest of them, you know, Dalt's got Josh Bell on her sheet right now. He's just, they won't do it because the return won't be good enough to replace kind of like what

he's done for the clubhouse. All they talk about is Josh Bell and how good he's been for everybody, but specifically Byron Buxton. So I don't think he's going anywhere. I don't think Joe Ryan's going anywhere with a caveat of if they just lose. Right. Then

maybe it changes. And then the fan base is like, okay, this is the right thing to do. But if they're in contention whatsoever, I think Jeffers is pretty much the only guy who they would consider trading. Yeah, I think you got to cash in that chip, man. I think the Jeffers, like, you bring up his page. And again, it's, it's impressive in a way, but it's also like there's a little bit of a head tilt. Because if you do the last four years, I mean, he's done kind of nothing but produce, uh, but there's some limited action in there. Well, yeah, they were, they were platooning him.

Right. I don't know why. And actually, like, dude, every catcher, like, if you play 120 games as a catcher, you're, that's kind of today's everyday catcher outside of Cal Raleigh last year and Salvi. But in the way he's playing right now, man, that I realize prospects are suspects, uh, that's, I don't know if that's a Joe's Mcfly original. I believe in it. But also, I mean, dude, there's so many times, like we, Fernando Tatees,

show hey not being traded. Like, if you're the twins and you can get a guy, which I think you can, like for the way Ryan Jeffers is producing right now, like 941 OPS, again, that's not his player card. But also we see a lot of catchers. Sometimes it takes a couple years for the light bulb to go on. And if you look at Jeffers, and I don't know if that's managing the pitching staff, along with all your other responsibilities, dude, he's a guy that is going to be taken care of.

with his next contract, whether that's the twins or free agency, because he's putting up numbers that I think if you do that daydream of like, if this guy lands on the right team in the right environment, he can produce. I think they're going to get offers that I think you can get like a real prospect and then probably like a relief pitcher prospect, which Trev, when you've talked about the twins this year, some of the guys coming out of that bullpen because they traded away a whole complete bullpen. Like, I just don't know if the twins have a 500-ish second half.

I don't know how many fans that's retaining or not offending. Like, I think the real Minnesota Twins fans, you know, my tribe, they want to see the team win. And I, this year's team doesn't reek of that. It has, though. I mean, they've been within a playoff spot almost the entire. entire year. The offense has been really, really good for them. You know, I think we never got the full run of this team. Pablo Lopez going out. That really hurts. Love him. I think they're

going to give it a go again next year with these guys. We have a couple, we have a couple of bats at the AAA level that are supposed to be incredible. Walker Jenkins is a guy who are like, people, people are comparing him to like a Joe Maurer S. Kidder. Oh, boy. Yeah. Oh, boy. He saved a kid's life on the field or something like that. In a AAA game, that's a true story.

Okay. I'm just telling you what I have seen and heard around the twins. I'm an expert, people. I think Jeffers is the one guy that they are looking, they would consider moving. It has any sort of like real. like value to the franchise. Juice.

Juice. Juice is a good word. Okay. Let's keep it cooking. Hey, big Brewers fan talking baseball and I want to see the Brewers add some bat to the lineup.

I'm thinking maybe a Taylor Ward, maybe an ESSach Paredes. Is Mickey Moniac available? I know this is in division but Matt Shaw, we look really good in a brewer's uniform. And then I'd like to see some pitching. Casey Mize would be fantastic.

Maybe a bullpen arm. I don't think the Brewers will get any of them because that's not the way we do business. But it's sure, any one of those guys would make me a very happy Brewers fan. And we've got a lot to deal. Andrew Vaughn can go. Logan Henderson can go. I don't know. Don't want to get swept in the NLCS. Bye-bye. Thank you talking baseball.

I don't know how much we need to daydream, because before last night's games, they had the best record in baseball, and we've talked about them trending up. I mean, one, I think they're always looking for pitching. I mean, Lance McCullors currently listed in that bullpen. Let's see what goes on there.

That if they think they can find someone they can tap into, I think that's just the brewers doing business, whether it's the trade deadline or not. The bat, I don't know. You and I both did kind of that Esauk Paredes head tilt. Like, he's got a little brewers in them, like straight pull power. He could play a few positions. Like, we could, could he be in,

somewhat impactful. I just don't think the Brewers think that way. I think they're rolling that I like our caller ended the question. I just don't, I don't see it like that. It's interesting. I like the offensive ad more than anything else for the Brewers. I think that, you know, I'd be okay with going to the playoffs with their pitching staff the way it is. Taylor Ward's an interesting one for me because I haven't really thought about him going to the Brewer. Freelick got some shoulder stuff. They ended up putting him on the IL. So there's your right field replacement right there. Or you move to Urio over to right field and put Taylor Warden left, whatever you want to do. I could see that happening. Rental wouldn't cost a ton. There is

going to be competition for this guy. But that's that's an interesting one to me. And I guess, again, I never really had gotten into it just because, you know, I know, I know Sal hasn't done a great this year offensively, but he's just kind of been one of their guys. But with him hurt now, it opens up the potential for this. So the Taylor Ward one made me kind of like head tilt a little bit. Issaq Paredes

swapping out what, Joey Ortiz for him? Yeah, I mean, Ortiz. Actually, I don't, I don't mind either of those, if we're being honest. I would think if you are the Brewers Front Office and you're saying, how do we improve this? You look

at everything. They're starting pitching his first in ERA, their bullpen numbers are good. Their offensive numbers are good. You need homers, coach. They're last in home runs. You know, every year, I mean, the brewers who are one of, if not recognized as the smartest team in baseball these days for the way they're performing, they have to be looking at that and being a little worried because every year we get to the postseason and the postseason home run stats come out. And if you out home or your team in the

postseason, you win 90% of the games or whatever it is that the brewers have to be looking at that with a little bit of how are we going to do this? I would think they're sourcing some power bats, whether that's Perretta's, whether a guy like Joe Adele, if we're looking in the outfield. I wonder who else is a... Casey Schmidt's got some brewers to him if he's available. Gosh, that's such a brewer. Casey Schmidt's got a lot of beer in him.

He can play third. He can play left. I don't know. I guess pitching-wise, I almost shrug like I did to start. If the brewers trade for a pitcher, just watch, watch out. But yeah. What about Casey Smith's arch rival? My good friend, Matthew Chapman. It's a lot of, there's some money tied to that. There's some money, but I think the giants are looking to get rid of like a lot of money,

dude. I think they're trying to get out of everything. Money talks. So if the giants are willing to dance a little bit with that, because I don't, I don't think. It's not that much, dude. it's 25 It isn't it isn't man I mean think about the CBA

Was that a waiver claim last year? That was, I think that was the, that was early. I think that was the White Sox offering like a peace offering, like teach us something. And we'll give you Andrew Vaughn. Yeah, no, they were done with them. I want to look up exactly one. That happened. June 13th for Savali and cash considerations.

I know some fans are shouting chair school from soapboxes, but I would argue that those fans are not real ball knowers. And real ball knowers want one player, one pitcher specifically, and that pitcher is Joe Ryan. Sorry about it. But if we're moving on for my dream, they need catching help because Dalton rushing can't be the primary catcher. I think they will get starting help. Probably not Joe Ryan,

So I think that those can be best filled by getting Taylor Ward, who is a rental on the Orioles. So that should not be too terribly difficult. Or Elliot Ramos or Spencer Speer. Both of those, I believe, would be more difficult because they're not pre-agents until 2030, I believe. And they at least still have some club control for a couple years on them. But I think that they would serve better if we were able to get either of those two as well.

So I would like to see Taylor Ward and either Spencer Steer or Elliot Ramos. I just had a really funny thought. Please. And what if the Guardians trader for Luis Arise and just start? They just collect small left-handed hitters. It's Chris Rose's. That's Chris Rose's thing, right? It's a different battle to get through if Kwan is back and arise.

I mean, obviously. I deal a lot. They're in my division. I have to listen to Chris Rose talk about them a lot. They've been searching for a right-handed outfield bat for, I don't know,

a decade, essentially. We interviewed Roger Davis, famous 2016 Homer against Rallis Chapman. And I said, I said, Roger, you'd like the last good,

right-handed hitter that the guardians have had. And Chris Rose laughed. He's like, shit, maybe, maybe that might be right. So Taylor Ward makes sense, but again, I think there's going to be a lot of suiters.

for this guy. Under the radar candidates, I think you steer. The reds are going to trade. He's kind of having a little bit of a resurgent year. He's a guy that can kind of play everywhere if you need him to as well.

So versatility is there. Right-handed bat. Under control for a couple more years, I believe. So it's not just this year. It's like 27, 28 under control. He can play first. He can kind of play the outfield if you need him to. There's all sorts of things he can do.

I think that's an interesting kind of target for them. Yeah, I'm, I don't know. I just, if I'm the Guardians, I don't know what Spencer Steer does for me. The splits are big. Like lefties, he maulsed. He won dots against lefties, but that means he's a 657 OPS versus righties.

So, like, depending their potential playoff matchup, Hey, the Guardians do operate this way, and it's part of what frustrates Chris Rose. And it's kind of a part of baseball that's getting thrown out. Like, a lot of these smaller market teams are like, why don't I get, if I can have two guys on my roster, one platoons against lefties, one platoons against righties, like that's how we could stack our lineup. You could pinch hit later. I just, for the Guardians, I don't know what this is.

Honestly, as I'm looking at his profile, I mean, this is almost, this is like Casey Schmidt Light. that like if I was the Mariners and I'm looking for someone to add to our mix that can change our versus lefties stuff maybe it's someone like that but Spencer Steer I don't

Trade Luis Sorias, Robbie Ray, Harrison, Bader, and Tyler, and Tyler Moll. at a minimum and probably shot Matt Chapman, Elliot Ramos, and John Hulay. We drafted a lot of pitching this year,

but that's still a pretty big need for the organization. So get some more pitching with above-average fastballs. What are your thoughts? which I'm regretting, that I guess we've been caught up looking at their big ticket guys because there was rumors early this year they want to get off money, which is so funny, because we spent the past four years trying to get them on money.

They've been spending money, dude. They've been spending money. They brought in a lot with Devers. That I, I guess, yeah, I guess that was kind of a Giants fan saying, at a minimum, we got to move the rental guys. Like, we can't, you can't be a Giants fan on August 4th and have a handful of those guys still on the roster. Agreed. I don't know what else they're, they're dead in the water. They have to figure out exactly what the direction of this team is.

Do you kind of stand pat with all these guys that you have locked up for a while and just try to kind of add around them or do you try to get out of some of these contracts and and be a little bit more nimble right now they don't have a lot of room to operate because they are you know they do have some some big time money and some of these free agents they brought in so yeah it's they have to make decisions and to me I don't think you can just run it back with these guys I think we've made some mistakes maybe and you try to get out of some of this money and then kind of go. The whole Devers thing, I don't think you try to like trade him and eat the money. I think you got to work it out. Like he can be, he can be the bat that you need there. I think he just needs

to feel loved, appreciated, comfortable. And maybe he will never get there. I don't know. But I don't think that it's going to be easy. Number one, to get out of the contract. Number two, I think he is the type of bat that you need there if all things go well. But around him, I don't know. I could see some major, major shakeups of this roster, if not at the deadline in the off season. Man, I know OPS Plus is a stat. I reference a decent amount because it tries to bring in the ballpark factor.

And sometimes I think it gets overcooked. San Francisco, not an easy place to hit, especially if you're in kind of an inside out lefty power hitter, which that's Devers at his best. And there's a giant wall in right field, by the way. Devers with his 784 OPS is a 120 OPS plus. He's a career 128 OPS plus. And his career OPS is 850. So that's one of those things, man.

I do wonder something about him has been sad. I know this is going to sound a little dumb at its core. Rafi Devers at a hitter's park. Like, dude, if Rafi Devers was a fifth, Philadelphia, Philly? Like, what do you think his season stats would look like? A lot better. A lot better. Which makes you a lot happier. It makes you a lot happier. It does. And also being on like a winning baseball team. So I'm not, I'm not throwing out. He's got 20.

He's got 20 jacks. Like, he's got a path to 30 here. And, you know, we know about the 30 homers in San Francisco. Again, I think he's a guy that you look and say, look, okay, Bryce Eldridge, go play first base, and then sorry, like, nobody else is going to DH. It's those two guys, essentially. Or Devers, you're just going to have to dege for the foreseeable future. He's signed through 33. I know. I know. And that was the whole thing when this trade went down. They were like, the fact the Red Sox got anything back, blah, blah, I realized they kind of don't anymore from that trade. But, um, God, he's making so much money, Jake, 33 a year, and then at the end, 31 a year for the last three.

122 already. 225 still coming his way. That's good for around 350 mil. But this is my thing. And I guess I can add this to my like Pete Alonzo-ish theory or whatever it is. Rafi Devers got paid that money, one, because the Padres were thrown out a ton of money. And Zander Bogart's got signed to San Diego. which that that's part of just the truth of it.

The other thing is, dude, Rafi was one of the steadiest, most consistent hitters in baseball from 2021 through 2025. These are the OPSs by year, Coach Trev. 890, 879, 851, 871. Last year he landed at 851. It's really hard to be that good of a hitter

every year that I don't know, man. You wonder if there's a GM out there that's like, if we can get him out of San Francisco and they could eat $5 million a year, $8 million a year, something like that. Like, this dude, we've seen him when he's right, and he's just, he's elite. He can, there can be the best pitcher on the world on the mound in front of him, and he can still win that battle.

And there's not that many guys in baseball you can truly say that about. that I would love if a chain of scenery happens, but man, dude, some of the nasty phone calls they must have taken on Devers. It's like, yeah, if you eat 10 mil a year, we'll take them for free and you're like, fuck, man.

Like, that's, you can't do that. I'm hanging on to this guy. Walk rates down a little bit this year. That's why the OPS is down. I think that that's something that will come back and normalize, in my opinion, especially with a guy of his talent, as he continues to get more and more kind of comfortable in his environment.

I think he keep him, man. I do. I think he is the bat that you can kind of rally around. Him and Eldridge, like two big fucking lefties. I love that. I know. I'm just, I'm going around, I'm basically going around hitter ballparks right now.

And every time I'm like, damn, Rafi. Again, this Dalt's right here and this isn't real, but like him as an Arizona Diamondback My God Dude will you stop My God Like I realize there's no reality there But it's where I like to live sometimes

Third base, maybe I'm flying a little blind here. my guy Ryan McMahon last 35 games OPS is in the eights that I think the Yankees have bigger needs at catcher and some pitching needs than third base but you do have to answer the call if it's there

and now that I know Spencer Steers 5-9 oddly more in. Brewer's going to go get Spencer Steer Tyler Stevenson's interesting yeah throw his name in the hat for catchers the reds are going to sell he's a rental last 28 days since you like to break it up into that.

360 407, 560. So he's 3.45 in it for the 967. So he's up this trade value. Okay. Overall numbers on the year are just are fine. He's actually crushed, not crushed. He's hit right-handers much better than lefties this year, which is pretty interesting.

747 OPS against right-handers to a 583 against left-hand. What are they doing to you, Tyler? change pieces on the outside corner or what? This is a kind of a big baseball question that's been on my mind lately that I've wanted to ask you. For guys that you see, there's a year where they're hitting righties or they're hitting lefties and maybe it switches from their career numbers. Do you think it's, do you think that's small data samples? Do you think your swing, like, can change year over year that maybe where it lands that season?

you do better versus lefties or you do better versus righties. Like I guess what goes into the hitter math on that? Yeah, I mean, for his career, so we're talking to Tyler Stevenson right now, 789 against lefties and 746 against righties. Okay, much better hitter than I, like, gave him credit for. Interesting, he's had a lot of injury stuff.

Career 758 OPS from the catcher's position, okay? Big boy, 6, 3, 2, 25. year to year it could just be like the lefties you're facing that year you might just face like good lefties

so like who's in his division you know Kyle Harrison's in his division I guess I'm blank on yeah there's not a ton of lefties in his division Matt Boyd

yeah he's got Ladolo on his team and there's not a lot of lefties no lefties on the pirates whatsoever so yeah honestly it could be some mechanical adjustment it could be

smaller sample size and just hey haven't really hit my homers against them or something like that. But unless you're, yeah, I mean, those are the two things it could be. Like something mechanically where maybe you're trying to pull more and that's been your goal. And really, like, you shouldn't be trying to pull lefties. If you're right-handed hitter, you got to be thinking about big part of the field against lefties. If in your mind, hey, I'm trying to lift the ball in the air to the pull side more, that could expose you against some lefties.

or like I said, the other reason would be I'm facing different guys who I just haven't had success against. Yeah, I guess I was going through Ahmed Rosario's numbers and he's been hitting Ritey's and not lefties recently, which his career is the opposite of that. But he was also, the Ritees he's been facing have been like kind of reverse split or bullpen, like in blowout games that has cooked the books a little bit.

But I don't know. I feel like you see that every year, and I wonder, Okay, what's that smile? I just brought me to something because you're talking about like, I don't know. I don't know why I thought of this. A couple guys who I respect both these guys. I want that on the record here.

He's comparing him to another pitcher that was way up top and just talking about all these things. And Rick Honeycutt comes on. He's like, yeah, the deception is really what gets him going here. I'm like, that's two ways to say the exact same thing. It was like this crazy technical layout about the spin and the low arm angle and how the induced fur and all the stuff.
