hi guys welcome back to tf4 i am christy and i am lauren and this is a quick cuppa
how y'all doing we haven't done this in ages haven't we no it's nice and i like the new setup
as well yeah it's gorgeous what do you think of that what do you think of that then addressing
the the fourth wall third wall technically there you go audio description they've put backdrop up basically we've really gone up in our in our production value exploring
we're trying new things trying to make it nice and vibrant and i'm i'm digging it i'm digging it
it's giving summer yeah yeah good summer it's good genie girl how are you feeling about summer what
have you got coming up do you know what i am kind of excited i don't know i'm just like kind of
excited i'm excited because i'm traveling soon nice finally but also what i realized is like this summer
in the uk there's a new pandemic and that pandemic is running clubs thank god you didn't go the other
way you know another viral disease i've had killer i. Not that I've had enough, but I feel like the running clubs
are the new dating apps.
It's given LinkedIn,
it's given networking,
it's given Bumble,
and it's given Tinder,
and it's given Grindr.
Is it really?
I think it is.
You've got 5am on a Sunday
it's giving Bumble.
People are joining it
and they're looking absolutely crazy.
Have you not seen them?
The other day there was
a big group of people running and I'm like this is too much i see it i rate it but
one i don't think i could be part of a one a running club a running sorry yeah i couldn't
be part of a running club yeah purely because i have the pace of a walk when i run um two i look
absolutely butters when i've gone on more than five minutes. For some reason, I've got a weird sweating disease after having COVID.
Oh, I just sweat on my scalp and have wet hair.
Oh, no.
And three, I love my lines.
Do I want to be getting up and running with a bunch of strangers?
No.
I mean, there's like nice like late ones,
like the ones I've been seeing on like TikTok and Instagram.
Late ones?
Yeah, that they run.
Evenings?
Yeah, evening ones.
They run like over like the city and you see the sunset and stuff. But to. Yeah, that they run. Yeah, evening ones. They run like over like the city
and you see the sunset and stuff.
But to be honest,
I'm like you,
I can't do it.
No.
I'm scared.
I went in the dark
where people can't see me.
Then that kind of defeats the purpose.
But then we'll both be at the back.
Everybody's like five miles away.
Just the moonlight.
A couple of wolves in the back.
But yeah,
I feel like that's the new like
day in yeah drinking's out running clubs are in yeah weird right yeah yeah it's all good health
as well i i care it yeah but maybe i'll stick to the gym i don't know if i could run outside yet
no that's valid yeah what about you how's looking forward to summer i am looking forward to summer? I am looking forward to summer. It's been a very exciting week.
Yes.
I heard.
My palms are sweaty just thinking about it.
I just had a very great Saturday.
Why did you have a great Saturday, Lauren?
Well, I spent, let's say, five minutes in heaven with the man, the myth, the legend,
Chris Hemsworth.
Oh, the Thor himself.
Thor himself.
Yeah.
Did he have his heavy hammer?
He didn't have his heavy hammer he didn't have
his heavy hammer shockingly he doesn't carry that around yeah yeah but basically yeah i did a junket
for um our new spiral news channel here vt nice and i got to play a little game with him i came
up with which pitted uk versus australian culture yeah and you should have seen how much my face was perspirating
I was wet by the end of it
in the face
in the face
but weirdly
yeah weirdly
I've got a bit of a habit of meeting
two celebrities, not meeting
technically, but like bumping into
two celebrities at once
when i do so a couple of years ago met niall horan for a listing party walking home harry
styles walks past me this day i met chris hemsworth i come outside the back of the hotel
the back and who walks past me who you're probably not gonna know him nova centineo
spanish spanish no english english he's got a spanish english
espanol name uh no sense now i'm not sure he's in that to all the girls i've loved before
but he just looked very unassuming um little skater boy bear snus in his mouth absolutely
clogged up there i had to double double take i'm thinking yeah is that is that Lara Jean's
what
nice
do you get starstruck
oh yeah
100%
do you
yeah
it's getting lesser
and lesser now
yeah
the pressure is getting
lesser
and I
I am getting a bit more
confident around them
because I just try to tell myself
they're normal people
they're normal people
yeah
but I always just
say something embarrassing
and for some reason
I meet these celebrities in these junkets and they seem to say the same kind of thing every time
so timothy chalamet was like we've met before haven't we
no we haven't my first time he kept saying hello and being like we've we've oh he remembers you
and then me and chris hemsworth he was like you were at the premiere
last night weren't you were you there last night no i wish i was watching on tiktok live stream
yeah i was like sorry what an evil fucking twin going around london mingling with in the vip
uh or am i a state paralysis demon in their dreams i don't know either way them saying
that it's a win for you anyways like
you'd be like yeah it was me you were a winzer win how you doing how are the kids does he have
kids uh yeah oh wow three three oh i look like a stalker now i'm not gonna be funny i don't get
starstruck on like celebrities right but you know i'm going with this but i get all started off for like
eastenders characters he's a celeb babe no they're just soap opera opera opera
soap opera stars soap opera stars yeah i would call them a celebrity i call them stars
yeah yeah so what so what did you show me this morning well this morning i showed you
phil mitchell's new promos. So for those that don't know,
East End, it's like basically new promos.
The pictures that get taken of them
that get put on the front of the soap magazines.
And it's just like a plain colour on my background.
Big old Phil just sat giving the blue steel at the camera.
Don't forget the leather jacket, the famous leather jacket. How could i forget yeah i kind of like i love them type of things
so what's that going as your phone background i want to say phone background but i'll definitely
like share it on my story like no oh my god guys like phil mitchell's new promos and then obviously
kind of like look into what storyline they've got coming up for him oh god it's like you that
keep the world turning i love it but i've realized recently a lot of people are starting to enjoy
stuff that they used to watch back in the day oh yeah like a lot of the time i feel like
my friends yes use they used to get onto me for watching these tenders right and now all of them
have caught up oh my what do you mean because Caught up. Caught up on like the episodes.
Not I Played for Lost Time.
Yeah, I Played for Lost Time.
They've all caught up.
Oh, all the episodes they've missed.
That's years worth.
I think it's because it's like soaps are becoming very relatable
with what's going on in society.
The storylines are very interesting.
So people are really...
So out of interest,
what's like
the main storyline on his senders at the moment the main storyline whitney dean what the fuck
is whitney dean whitney basically um she's getting married but her partner zach has cheated
on her with her best friend lauren you're
oh shit yeah so i think it's yeah it's quite interesting isn't it um yeah massively relatable
i'd say and i think the other one of all this is quite it was quite a heavy topic um it was talking
about um abuse but in the older generation and how they were scared to come forward because
obviously they're very private people um so it's all about that kind of like raising awareness of like actually speaking
out how to kind of approach your partner um if you're in that situation so i do feel like as much
as it has the juicy oh my gosh like this is amazing it also touches on real life like problems
and situations it kind of helps people to like you know this is how you go about it this is what
you do if you need help or you need somebody to like and they always have the call to action at the end yeah yeah that's why i've got a big
up the east end big up the east end man slay up east enders get our girls an extra i beg um lauren
if that happens i will not change my clothes for a whole week what the clothes that i wear on that's it i'm not changing it for those sleeves swipe that fucking queen vic queen bar i promise you i'm not yeah that's my
dream chris phil um kisses you on the cheek philip that's my king that's my king oh that's
jokes well funny okay nice speaking of also celebrity things, this week I went to a Billie Eilish listening party.
How was that?
It looked absolutely cool.
Was it immersive?
It was an immersive kind of listening event with all her top fans for her new album, Hit
Me Hard and Soft.
Yeah.
And so we went in and we listened to the album and all all these gorgeous little fangirls and boys are screaming.
They're really feeling the vibes.
They're in the serotonin.
I've got our videographer, Johnny, here,
eating every snack in the gift bag.
So lucky I heard any of it.
And yeah, it was just so nice.
And I said in the video, I was like,
I miss being a fan so much. I was such a fangirl back in
the day the One Direction the Justin Bieber the Harry Styles anything I could get my hands on
fan fiction she's there I'm fucking obsessed I'm setting up late reading it yeah um yeah I was just
I just it was so nice to see people really passionate about something and maybe I want
to tune into that a bit more as an adult do you feel
like well i don't know if there's actually many of those type of like immersive listening parties
these days because everything's online yeah you get to experience let's say for instance your
favorite artist drops an album yeah it'll be at midnight beyonce for instance we were all like
yeah ready to come okay on our phones let's listen to it i do feel like that kind of getting in touch and connecting with your
fan base yeah so key she wasn't there was she wasn't there but it was just magical to be
surrounded by people that share the same interest as you in one place because i feel as it goes now
we're being priced out of the actual concerts so obviously amazing to be a fan and really enjoy
someone like taylor swift's album but can i afford to go to a
concerts these days absolutely not i remember when concerts used to be around like 30 to 60 pound
yeah now these days that's a holiday um yeah i want to go see shania twain in in um british
hyde park yeah um hyde park yeah and it's like 110 pounds and the funny thing is of that
as well is obviously it's not always their fault but I do feel like with artists they won't come
out until like one the venue itself is full or packed two they um everything's running on time
so then you pay that much money and then unfortunately the experience you have with
that artist is let's say well if it's a good artist maybe like two albums or even like it
could just be an hour 40 minutes but it's a lot yeah yeah maybe we'll do a whole episode on that
while we priced out being fans of things i'm not gonna lie i kind of like that topic what do you
guys think let us know um yeah but otherwise you've got that
you're going on holiday this week i'm going on holiday this week i'm going to barbados guys
and i can't wait but you know what's so funny lauren i feel like when it comes to holiday prep
us as females i don't know about guys you guys let us know but us as females we spend so much
money on maintenance before we even get
on the holiday and i think that's out of order 100 i'm spending money like monopoly money
literally nails yep hair yep wax if you're getting it makeup um makeup oh yeah i'm for some reason i
seem to think that i'm not gonna have anything
awesome over there or everything's run out so i'm repurchasing everything new new clothes
um when i'm at the airport fucking let me just spend 20 pounds on a pret
why do we do this i don't know or like three pound on a bottle of water
yeah yeah what we like i don't know i feel it's the, I guess the excitement of it all,
but you also want to like,
you see how we skincare prep yourself
before you go into bed.
You want to make sure that you are like set and ready.
Like basically when you're going on holiday,
that's like a new you.
Yeah.
That's a whole new you.
You've got to repackage yourself.
You've got to make sure everything's just,
it's basically your birthday.
That's how I see it.
Is it the pressure to look good in real life
or is it good for the content
that you're going to make whilst you're out there like i think when you really deep it and i think about those
like low maintenance holidays yeah back in the day where you would have just packed a suitcase
and it didn't really matter yeah like was that more fulfilling versus like i see so many tiktoks
of girls being like oh my god me and my friend until we get that picture
of the the first perfect picture of the holiday yeah and it's like we're a bit obsessed with that
aren't we and there's also then like let's make sure you've got make sure you've got a pink pink
pink white bikini there's a black bikini you need to have the sunglasses you need to have the
the particular i don't know the bag like there's this but there's a particular look and feel that
you have to actually achieve and it's actually true does it take does that take away from the
actually does that take well english does that take away from actually enjoying the trip i don't
know steve just want to you know question ask yourself like if you're stressing about those
last minute holiday outfits it's like is it really gonna matter what's from there wearing the same fucking shorts i've wore for
five days running no that is so true i never thought of it like that you know but now you
put it into perspective it's like yeah i do feel like social media or fair enough celebrities as
well when they go on holiday you see the pictures that they're posting the kim's she has you know
they're in her bikinis kylie they do the most so why can't
yeah actually enjoy and replicate that lifestyle it's true yeah well yeah but also you've got a
bit more pressure um chris is actually going to be a fucking mc for a wedding i'm going to be
i've never heard of this before but it's iconic i'm basically going to be hosting my friend's
wedding um i am excited but at the same time you know when you're excited
for something then the negative not the negative but like the little doubts what if i say something
and nobody responds back to me um i mean i think they'll get along the vibes yeah not do vox pops
on the street hi guys everybody okay so um but i'm excited because it's in the caribbean it's going to be like on an open beach
um it's a small intimate wedding as well and i think what i love about that is that it's just
the people that you want to be there so i'm guessing i will be the vibe controller bringing
all the vibes and ideally i'm basically carrying their wedding so whatever tone i sit
is this oh it's the tone for the whole day dj day day what's your name gonna be on the mic oh
mc i need a name what about christy um no mc chrysal mc ch. Crizzle. Crizzle on the V. Oh my God. I can't wait to see some content from that.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And just another one on holidays.
I recently went to Paris.
Paris.
Paris.
Paris.
Paris.
How was that?
For my birthday.
It was amazing.
It was the perfect sunshine.
Yes.
It was the gorgeous setting.
Yeah.
But I guess I just wanted to bring up like a small.
Go on.
A small, on not great but
something came up so on my bucket list yeah i've always wanted to go to the moulin rouge
my mum went when she was younger um when she went to paris and i went to go see the stage show in
london that's based on obsessed love the basleman film so go so my boyfriend buys me tickets we go
to the moulin Rouge on the Saturday.
And I don't know.
I just have a feeling that show,
I know it's been going on for hundreds of years,
is slightly outdated.
Do you think?
In the sense that I understand it's burlesque.
These women are dancing topless.
They have their boobs out the entire time,
which I get it.
It's like classic cabaret. But at no point do the men take their tops or willies off
yeah and it's like like this is 2024 let's make it a bit progressive let's see a bit of magic mike
why is it just the women and it was slightly unnecessary like they did not have to have their
areolas out and that's not me being not being feminist because i fucking love and appreciate the
the woman form yeah i love it but i just feel in the sense of you know like was it really necessary
to be having that level of nudity having the men or go in the front row you know i don't know i
mean i feel like with the french they're very prideful when it comes to you know this is
how they do things yeah and i do feel like i feel like with us in the uk if that was here i'm pretty
sure you'd get a bit of like the magic mics in there we like to switch things up a bit yeah
whereas over there le francier as they are stubborn as they are and very prideful we be um
yeah they it's just how it is yeah i don't think they ever will like
change it or even want to like adapt it yeah i reckon if there was like a you know a petition
that went up that was like please put some tops on the ladies they're absolutely ridiculous they
would be like listen if it's not for you please go somewhere else les incompetents voila
yeah i know they're not going to listen to that old me but that was just as a young person going
to see the moulin rouge that's just my thoughts on it that's my hot take i like that and then
obviously your child's gonna go as well because your mom's gone you've gone and they'll probably
see the same show and we'll probably be at a point then i don't know i don't know which way it's
gonna go because as well there's massive talk on social media about you know about how how it's unfair that you get flags as men no men don't get flagged for being topless but then a woman is
flagged with a nipple showing and it's just all i think it's just patriarchy ain't it patriarchy
patriarchy yeah well brilliant on that note one i love to end on the patriarchy is alive and well
yep and it lives in the moulin rouge paris wee wee it's horrible don't say that i loved it there
did you yeah i think i want to go because i've not been
like i've seen it's definitely a bucket list one definitely
yeah just just if you go with a boyfriend make sure
covering is a sorry close your eyes from the
if you wouldn't sorry look down look down
they're coming back
look down
and I was like
the whole time
he's watching the front
and I was watching his face
like joking
I'm not insecure
that's a joke
that's a joke
me and Natasa
well is that everything
for this week
I guess so
I'm looking forward to
you know the rest of the week and what's to come.
Yeah.
The sun's been great.
Yes.
So hopefully the weather continues.
We pray, we hope.
Yeah.
And then we can hopefully do like a tea at four on tour.
Yeah, on a beach.
That would be unreal.
A picnic.
Yeah.
Is that a sip and tea, sip and something sweet?
A little bit of a tipple.
You know what I mean?
A little. Why not? A hundred percent. instead of sipping tea sipping something sweet a little bit of a tipple you know what I mean a little
why not
100%
