Good morning, good day, good evening. I am as always your host, Brody Opson, and I'm rubbing my chair up against the edge of my PC. And this is episode 110 of Tech of a T. And before we get into any of the other topics, we need to talk about the absolute chaos which happened over on Reddit over the past couple of days. So, back in 2017, Reddit launched a thing called r slash place. This was basically a giant canvas where users could place one pixel at a time. Once they placed one pixel, they had to wait a couple of minutes, then they could place another. This was basically

used to create a giant mural. Different groups came together to grief different grief different groups some groups worked together some formed alliances all of that fun stuff that originally happened back in 2017 and for this year's april 1st it happened again and i don't know what to say like i i wasn't directly involved but watching the chaos ensue from the outside was genuinely hilarious so unlike last time you know content creators are considerably bigger this time and a couple of streamers got very involved in it most notably asmongold and XQC some other streamers like Ludwig definitely the stuff as well but those were the ones that got the most hated by the the community there because They came in and just like you know what fuck your art

We're gonna make better art or XQC's case, just making worse art. But Asmund came in, there was a section of the art that was a, what's the word? A mural? Not a mural. A commemoration. Commemoration to the life of, Commemoration to Berserk. And commemoration to the life of the author. And it was just a small little section with Guts' sword and it said Berserk.

What Asmund came in and did was destroy the art that was above it and was like, you know what? We're going to have a portrait of Guts here. And that ended up surviving for quite a long time, actually. I think till the end it started getting aggrieved a bit but everything at the end got grief i'll go over that in just a moment but for the most part people were protecting it because people like berserk people like guts

and that's all good he went and made a uh portrait of pot friend from elden Ring. I haven't played Elden Ring yet, but there's like a giant pot that talks to you. For anyone who hasn't played it like me, I'll show you a picture of Pot Friend. Pot Friend is here. It's a talking pot. It's going to become really popular really, really quickly. That ended up surviving for quite a while as well.

And the other major piece he made was a giant mural of Total Biscuit. So that didn't happen during the first r slash place because he ended up passing away, I think it was a couple of months or the year prior to that happening and nobody really wanted to do that sort of as close to his death but this time as been wanted to go and take the uh the lol emote from twitch uh which is just a picture of lol there we go not lol the game, uh, and make a giant mural of this, and it turned out really, really good, like, genuinely really good, people were protecting it for a while, because once again, it was a really popular thing, xQc on the other hand, um, he was sort of,

he was sort of the enemy of r slash place and it was fucking hilarious because he would come in and just place his logo somewhere and destroy all of the art under it no one cared everyone started destroying it straight away uh there was a giant french flag the uh i think it was a french streamer it wasn't r slash france that did this a French streamer made a giant flag. It took up, I think, half the vertical space of the canvas, which, I don't know how many pixels it was, but it was a lot of pixels. XQC

was like, you know what? I'm gonna draw a giant butt on this. And he had the manpower to do it, because he had 233,000 viewers while this was going on. Like, he was pulling fucking insane numbers just to go and draw stupid shit all over r slash place. So, that happened.

Also, Germany was, like, trying to make their flag extend across the entire thing. I don't know what was going on there. It was kind of insane. I'll find the r slash place before whiteout. The whiteout was the final big event that happened where all of the colors except for white were removed. And this led to basically the portrait being completely destroyed or the entire art piece being completely destroyed pre-whiteout.

But people do have screenshots of it because there were people literally streaming all of the days. I think it went on for, I want to say three days. Yeah, three days sounds about right. Here we go. Oh, that's a terrible version of it. We can see,

you can't see a lot of the individual details, but you can see some of the crazy stuff that was going on. You had Gold Roger here, you had Giga Chad, you have an Omri one, you have the United States here, there's a giant Pineapple,

Armour Games down the bottom here, like there's all of this crazy stuff, all of this just, it's sort of just a collection of, a collection of internet humour. You've got Wall Street Bets here, where else? We have the UK flag, there's a lot of flags.

You'll notice there's a lot of flags over here. Here's the guts mural that Aswin made. Wait, I didn't know that was there. Someone added a connection loss thing. That's kind of amazing. You've got Eren

here from Attack on Titan, and if you just look at all of the individual detail, you see so many crazy pieces of art. I am kind of surprised by how much people managed to collaborate to bring this

thing together. I'll see if I can find a better picture. Because that one's really, really blurry. Is this... Yes! Thank you! Oh my god, absolute legend. legend okay someone's got a proper picture of it all 2000 by 2000 pixels so you can see sort of everything that's going on and this changed constantly a lot of this art was destroyed and rebuilt and replaced and this is basically just the final result but you can see like also there was this um

there here we go where was it uh this was a thing that a lot of people were doing um placing little among us in everything everything that could have among us in it had Among Us. All of this background here that looks like it's a nice little background is all Among Us. And they basically, the Among Us guys, they weren't trying to destroy anything, but they were just trying to eject as much Among Us as they physically could. I wonder if the giant penis is still on here.

That was another thing that happened. As soon as this second section down here expanded. So the way it worked is at the start there was... Where's my scroll bar? I have no scroll bar. What the fuck? Oh, here we go. So at the start there was just this section here.

Second, I think second day or third day. It expanded to this second half. And then the final day. I think it was the final day or the day it expanded to this second half and then the final day i think it was the final day the day before final day it expanded once again and all of this bottom half became available and when that happened yeah someone drew a giant penis that was pissing and shitting and coming because of course oh here's uh here's the Total Biscuit one that ultimately did get destroyed, which is sad. But you know what?

I kind of like how destroyed it is. It's kind of destroyed in a fun way. There is car sex here as well, yeah. Yeah. If you're just listening to this right now, I really recommend that you go and look at the full art piece. Oh, there's also... I didn't know this was...

The more you look at this, the more you discover just weird pieces of art. I scroll past. Here it is. Scroll to the bottom. Scroll over here. Oh, there's the Windows XP start bar as well. Where did it go? Pregnant Mario. Because, of course, it Windows XP start bar as well. Where'd it go?

Pregnant Mario, because of course it needs to be fucking pregnant Mario. Why wouldn't there be pregnant Mario? But anyway, once all of that went down, this was before an event known as the Whiteout. What happened after the Whiteout was this.

just got completely nuked. And I think it's an interesting way to end the experiment. Sure, you could have kept it alive and sort of kept it as sort of a cultural piece, a snapshot in history of all of the memes that were going on. But I think this is sort of a fitting end as well. Just let absolute chaos destroy

absolute chaos. I think it's cool. I think it's really cool. I hope they do it again at some point. The last one they did it was 2017. It's not going to be a thing they do every single year. It would probably get really, really boring if they constantly did this, but I think as like maybe every five years

or so, whatever it is they want to do, I think would be a really cool event. And we get people very very excited for this. The r slash play subreddit is still available, so you can go and check that out and see sort of see sort of the I guess the mentality that was going on in there. You can also see the art if you let this load. My connection is terrible. Canada the entire

time was trying to build the Canadian flag and nobody was letting it happen. At one point it got replaced with the banana flag. I don't know how that happened. But, yeah, there's also this here, going over some of the major events. Yeah, Canada struggling to build their flag. You had the canvas expansions.

Some of the streamers were also trying to destroy the Star Wars, Turkey, and Osu! pictures, which wasn't happening, because those are all fairly big communities. People just let Germany take over the canvas. Like, that was just going to happen. The other fun thing that happened... Wait, shit, I was going to say something. The other fun thing...

Oh, right, Asmund. Asmund, he went to war with the ponies. So, is the picture here somewhere? I'll see if I can find it. Can I find the picture that the My Little Pony community did? Ah, here it is. So, oh, whatever. It just zoomed out.

Shit, I lost it now. There we go. Okay, it's in the middle of my screen. I'm not going to move it. In this section right here, there is a My Little Pony picture. And Asmund, you know, being Asmund, wasn't exactly a very big fan of this and destroyed it a couple of times, actually. They started sort of encroaching on his space.

There's also this one here. They started encroaching on his space. And then he was like, you know what? Fuck you. I am going to have a crusade against the ponies. Ultimately, he gave up and everyone sort of moved on. But if you want to have a really, really fun experience, go back a couple of days and read the mega thread read the mega thread without getting really really angry with Asmund he went over some of it in his video I'll leave I'll show you guys the I'll show you I guess the link or the name of the video just if you want to go and check it out yourself because it's it's fucking gold content so over on was the one of stuff on his clip channel as well

but over on asmongold tv uh asmongold destroys every nft scammer that's going over going after something different but still lots of fun uh asmongold amazed by r slash placeful time lapse that's not the one um uh here's part of the bit where Aspen was attacking the ponies this was where he was the initial reason he started attacking them is because they put a mural of the ponies above the

berserk above the mirror uh the mirror mural mural whatever you know what I'm trying to say um ultimately it was just it's a fun experience to watch but i can't imagine being someone who just sat there the entire time or most of the day just placing a pixel at a time that sounds like a really

boring experience but from the perspective of being part of, you know, a big stream or something like that, I think that would have been fun. One of the stupid things that was happening is there were a lot of mods that were abusing their powers. I think the main guy was a guy called Chator or something like that

who went in and just blacked out big parts of pieces of art that he wasn't happy with. Most people could only place one pick, so mods could do whatever they want, which makes sense because, you know, when you have a giant canvas,

there are going to be reasons why you want to remove stuff. Like, no one actually removed the giant cock that was pissing and shitting and cumming. That was just destroyed by users. But xQc drawing a set of ass cheeks or someone, I think, at some point drew a Nazi flag, which, you know, was obviously going to happen every

time something like this exists. So it makes sense the mods can go and, like, do as much as they want. But when it's found that they are just straight up doing that to abuse, like, just abusing their powers for the sake of the sake of

Destroying something that was built by the community. It doesn't make any sense Anyway that is the experience of r slash place I highly recommend checking it out and I Hope at some point it it comes back. Oh one thing there was also this thing called the void The void was basically Can we see the void on this one? Yeah, you can see it a little bit I already closed the other one where I had the void All of this black section in the middle here right near

black section in the middle here, right near Turtle Biscuit's head, basically this was a concept known as The Void. This would be a group of people, I don't know where they were coming from, who would do nothing but place black pixels and try to, like, make really fucking creepy art. So there was one point where they had the meme Mr. Incredible face that you've probably seen. If I just look up Mr. Incredible, can I find it? Probably. Yeah, there we go. That picture.

They were drawing this picture. They gave it red eyes because, of course, they fucking gave it red eyes. There were also a bunch of other forms of the void as well i think weirdly people were a fan of the void like xqc would come in destroy some art everyone would get like really uppity about it there would be giant threads about it saying how xqc is a terrible person apparently he received death threats about it which makes sense because it read it. But no one cared about the void. They were just like, oh, the void is just

an art experiment. The void, it's coming to destroy anything, but it doesn't matter. I don't get the whole, like, the whole... What's the word? The inconsistency? I don't get the inconsistency. Double standards. That's what I was thinking of.

But it's Reddit. And Reddit is going to be Reddit. And it is what it is. Oh, there's a Bidoof. I didn't realize there was a Bidoof. Of course there's a Bidoof. It's not a Bidoof that is all powerful, but hey. Bidoof, nonetheless. This was probably a terrible intro for all of the audio listeners.

But if you're still here that's cool now we're gonna get into something that is uh less terrible so elon musk the elon musk man the the spaceman the the man who sent cars to space he uh he is he is a crazy person as we well established and he's been sort of getting I guess really pissy with Twitter and discussing

making maybe a new social media platform which is a terrible idea because it would fail like every single other one does stop making new social media platforms if you really want to make something like if you want to put your effort into something and you want to do something new just go on the fettyverse that's what everyone does anyway like truth social is the fettyverse gab is the fettyverse stop saying you're gonna make something

new and just be like yes i am launching my own mastodon instance or something like that like that i think would be fine but anyway there was that was happening i i want to say like a week ago i think um yeah about a week ago 28th of march that's when it was mainly being talked about but that wasn't the only plan he had. His second plan, when he realized that was a stupid idea, was how about I just buy Twitter? Because I'm Elon Musk and I can do that. So 9.2%. That is how much of the Twitter stock that Elon Musk now owns. If I just look up 9.2%, 9.2% Twitter.

Is that going to work? There we go. Here we go. Here's an article from CNET. So I saw some really bad takes about this initially saying, oh, Elon's bought Twitter, but, or Elon's bought almost 10% of Twitter. Nothing's really going to change here. He's not going to have a lot of control over stuff or anything like that. Well, that might be the case. Or it might not be the case. Because he's now on the Twitter board of directors. whatsoever, yeah, yeah, that happened. And as expected, the Twitter stock went up quite high, because whenever Elon touches something, any sort of...

He posted. Do you want an edit button? And. people that care about what you say. So, he posted Do you want an edit button? And

obviously, from my perspective, I think an edit button is a good thing. Some people aren't really a big fan of it. There's a lot of people who are sort of critical of this. And I understand why. Because I think just putting an edit button on Twitter would be

a terrible idea. If there's nothing else else it wouldn't work what twitter needs is a very very clear indication that the tweet has been edited it needs to have the edit history it needs to have a marker and when you quote tweet it maybe even have on the interface saying interface saying, this has been edited, something like that. Or maybe if you've quote tweeted something in the past, it'll tell you if something you quote tweeted has been edited. Or maybe if you quote tweet something, it doesn't ever show the edited version. I think that could work as well.

Other people have had some other conditions that might make sense. For example, only make it available for the first couple of minutes, like the first 5-10 minutes and yeah, also showing the edit history. Elon says that sounds reasonable and I think, yeah, it ultimately does. But when this happened and he put

out the poll, something interesting also happened. The CEO of Twitter quote tweeted it and let's see if i can find this ceo ceo twitter who is prog agrawal i sorry i very terribly pronounce your name um he is the ceo after jack dorsey left to doies? Is that what it's called? If you look up Twitter CEO, you still see

the older CEO. This is on Google as well. And typically, you know, Google does a better job at that. But, whatever. He put out a quote tweet of Elon's poll saying, the consequences of this poll will be important.

Please vote carefully. And turns out that Twitter is working on an edit button. And apparently it's been, that's the wrong one. This was announcing Elon going to the board of directors. Twitter edit button. Tweet? Yes. We are working... This was originally posted on April Fool's Day.

So, it led to a lot of people saying, oh, that's obviously not going to happen. And they posted just afterwards. Yeah, people thought it was like a late April Fool's joke, but they are actually working on an edit button. And apparently, it has been a work in progress for a couple of months. But because it's been a work in progress for a couple of months. But because it's been a work in progress for a couple of months, a lot of people are saying,

oh, Elon had nothing to do with this becoming a thing. I really doubt that now that he's on the board of directors, he has absolutely no say in something like this occurring. And they would have known in advance that he was buying almost 10 percent of the twitter stock like you don't just buy 10 percent of the twitter stock and get put on the board of directors without the ceo already knowing that's gonna happen like there was obviously some behind the doors discussion elon was like oh hey is this a if if we make these uh these sort of decisions if we make some changes here maybe this is uh maybe I will make this purchase that's obviously

what's going to happen but I'm really interested to see what happens with Twitter going down the line now I have my doubts that much is going to change probably we'll get a couple of nice features the edit button and things like that but I really doubt you know some people have been saying oh Twitter's going to become like a free speech platform

Alex Jones and Donald Trump are all going to be back on Twitter I don't think Elon's going to have that much say in what goes on the platform. I really, really don't. He's not like firing every single person who works there, who's making the decisions. He's just

a new dude on the board of directors, which gives him a lot of power, but he's not all powerful. There's obviously limits in what he can do. But I'm interested. I'm very interested to see what happens. Apparently this edit button is going to be a part of Twitter blue, at least initially. It's gonna be part of the Twitter blue and maybe down the line it's gonna become a thing that everybody gets. But I really doubt that's going to happen. I really, really doubt.

There's also a lot of people that are speculating that maybe TweetDeck is going to become a part of Twitter Blue. Which, if that ever happened, I would get really, really annoyed. Here we go. An article from The Verge and an article from TechCrunch both talked about this. Apparently there have been some changes to the login

interface of TweetDeck that start referencing Twitter Blue and this site is just not going to load, is it? Let's try another one. Okay, well TechCrunch is going to work. Sure. Oh, now they're one. Okay, well, TechCrunch is going to work. Sure. Oh, now they're working. Basically,

Twitter's filling in the new TweetDeck sign-up page that they're working on. Two new highlights. A link for the legacy version of TweetDeck, even though it might be dep-coded at some point in the future. Ad-free experience being marketed as the selling point. And ad-free experience is also part of the Twitter blue experience.

So I think it's possible. And if it does happen, I'll just go and do my video on Modern Deck. I've been meaning to do that video on Modern Deck. I've talked about it a couple of times. Anyone who doesn't know about it, it's a... Basically, it's an open source version of TweetDeck, effectively. Like, it just does effectively everything that TweetDeck does

and then does it better. Also, it's a desktop application rather than being something you run inside your web browser. I'm not just saying it's cool because the developer started following me over on Twitter, but hey, you're a cool dev.

I don't know anything about you, actually. I have literally no idea about you. All I know is that you're a furry. And you're very proudly a furry. That's not just me being like, haha, furry. They're like, on their personal Twitter, they're like, ah, proud furry or something

I don't want that. Anyway, what do we have now? Oh, you know, we're going to talk about some of the April Fool's stuff that was going on. So I put out my April Fool's video. That was basically me pretending that I was not really an Arch user. I was actually an Ubuntu user. And then towards like the end of the video, that video got kind of weird actually.

So initially I wasn't going to have that last skit at the end where I was... Remember we do this? There we go. I don't know if that's high pitched or low pitched. there we go I don't know if that's high pitched or low pitched sometimes when I re-enable the

the audio what's the word, audio effect it flips what side it's on, even though I haven't actually changed the physical dial, sometimes the mixer board is weird that whole bit at the end where I was sort of pretending like I was held captive

I made it as on the nose as possible. So if you haven't seen the thumbnail, the text says, I'm not a real Arch user, by the way, which is obviously a play on, you know, I use Arch, by the way, and I have crying emojis in my thumbnail, which I've literally never used an emoji...

I've used an emoji once in a thumbnail, but I don't use it for serious videos 99% of the time. But there were a surprisingly high number of people who thought the video was serious, at least thought it was serious, maybe for like the first minute or two. A lot of people got the joke basically straight away but some people were like, oh I didn't, I thought you were being serious until, until you started saying you loved Ubuntu or until you started

saying that Gnome was good or Snap were good or anything like that. Initially, the way I was pretending that I had never really used Arch is I was making aliens. This is like why people should have realized it from the start. I was pretending that I had made an alias that would convert the

Pac-Man output and convert the Pac-Man options to make it look..., convert the options from something else, in that case being apt, to being the Pac-Man options, and making a theme for Gnome that made it look like awesome WM. Like, it was

so, so on the nose that I have no idea how anybody ever had trouble working it out. My camera might be lagging. I'm gonna pause for just a moment just to see if that's a problem. Turns out it was just the preview lagging, so it's perfectly fine. So I think that video, I think it got like 12,000 views or something like that, which is

fairly good for my channel, but the fact that it got nearly 500 comments and 1500 likes is the thing that was kinda ridiculous about it. People were just having, like, constant discussions on it. I even found one guy who, I guess, maybe knew the video wasn't

serious, but still used the video to tell me how terrible Arch is. Like, oh, Arch is bad. Arch is unstable. I'll see if I can find that comment, actually, and read it out. It sort of... It reads like... It reads like a copypasta about Arch,

but I feel like the person was being serious. Um... Arch. I probably won't be able to find it. Maybe they deleted it. Um... Um... Um...

No, I can't find it. I can't find it. Oh, there was someone in here that said if you ever get around to, or if you ever feel like properly installing Arch and using it, but you don't feel comfortable doing it, you can install Endeavor instead. Like, mate, I've literally installed Arch on the stream.

I know how to install Arch. I think Endeavor is cool, but, like, I know how to install Arch. This was a joke. It was posted on April Fool's Day. I don't really care that it wasn't April Fool's Day in America. I don't care. I genuinely don't. The fact that Americans

are, whatever, fucking however many hours behind me, that's not important. And you know what? I feel like it kind of makes April Fool's jokes funnier, because when I post them, they're going to be on March 31st. So someone like, oh, this must be

serious, because that's all not... Do you know how many comments I got saying, this must be serious because that's all not do you know how many comments I got? Saying this must be a serious video because it was posted on March 31st or it's not April 1st in my country therefore it must be serious like obviously people were joking but I Think every single one of those people thought they were leaving an original comment This is how I wound up with 500 comments on this video. Everyone posting the exact same thing, thinking they are being original.

This is sort of a, it happens on every video, but it was more pronounced on this video, where there was very obviously a sort of a bit that people can attach themselves to. But, there was I didn't pay much attention to

a lot of the april fool's stuff going on out there but there were certainly some some interesting cases that's for sure uh one of those being with delorean where they straight up announced a real product on april fool's day so apparently there's going to be a new DeLorean. It looks like a fucking Tesla, but, um, apparently, there's gonna be a new DeLorean. They posted this, it was April 2nd my time, but I guess April 1st

in America. Um, official teas on April Fool's Day never made sense to us either. Um, and yeah, they, uh, apparently, August 18th they're going to be unveiling a new car which delorean still exists apparently i didn't realize this until i uh i saw this i think it was on like the verge or something i genuinely didn't even realize that DeLorean existed in any fashion whatsoever. It Was Minecraft except for one thing You could only hold one block You could you could only hold a singular block this meant that You this meant that you this meant you didn't have an inventory so crafting was not done in the typical way crafting would be done um there's actually a video here that demonstrates the crafting among other things oh let's skip ahead to oh you, you could also pick up animals. Yeah, so you could straight up just pick up animals.

You would pick it up in the state that it's in, so that meant crafting in a lot of situations going to be kind of difficult. You couldn't just go and, like, uh, mine gravel and then pick up, just go and like uh mine gravel and then pick up uh pick up flint you couldn't go and oh wait you could wait you could actually i didn't realize that you could use a furnace so if you put something that you can cook in a furnace next to fire, it will go and cook it. Okay. That's also really dumb.

But yeah, you could pick up fire as well. Yeah. Oh, apparently you could also stack items like this as well, which leads to interesting situations. Can we find the crafting? Because the crafting is really scuffed. So,

not only could you only use... You could only pick up one block at a time. Every time you used a tool, that was a one-use tool. And the crafting is really scuffed. You pick up the item, and then you chuck it. And you chuck it onto a crafting table. And when you mine something... You'll see in a second.

There we go. It replaces whatever the tool was with that block. There was a glitch with it. I don't know if it was a glitch or an intended feature, actually. I've fucked if I know. Where you could offhand an item. So technically, you doubled your inventory space,

you'd actually ride the ender dragon as well which is kind of cool which is kind of neat um there was just so much scuffed stuff about this update oh the way the the end portals worked so you had to pick them up and throw them so you couldn't actually use eyes of ender apparently one of the devs was in the chat and was saying they straight up just removed the eye of ender code from the game like fuck it it doesn't need to be in the game so you would get ender frame or end frame portals from i think nether fortresses or something like that and you would have to go and place them in here you can see the flying chicken go and place them in the end portal structure you would see so yeah there

would be in um uh fortress chests or something like that you place end portal frames in your head as well because among us um so you'd pick them up you would then throw them in the air chuck them down and you had to make sure they were like in that correct format and it didn't work properly actually like you would place

you see when he places the last one the portal doesn't spawn like a portal should oh in this case it didn't spawn at all. I don't know why that one didn't spawn, actually. He's going to try it again. And yeah, this happened. The portal doesn't appear where it should.

Several changes? Nope, this is not going to show me it. I will pause for just a moment and find a link. Sadly, the official digest isn't out yet, but luckily, Dual Shockers has me covered. So, this has everything that happened. We're not going to go over most of it

because most of it, I think, is not really that exciting. Or it's things that I don't really have much to say on, because I just am nowhere near that content. For example, the new 6.1 stuff that's happening and things like that. But there is some fun stuff that's going on. One of those is basically making the early content single player, if you want it to be. So there is a system as of, I want to say, Stormblood or Shadowbringers,

someone who knows, tell me, called Trusts. And Trusts are basically a way to go through dungeons with NPCs, rather than having to queue up with random people out there. And this is kind of useful, especially for content where maybe there's not that many people running it. Maybe it's some middle of the expansion, no one really cares about that dungeon. This new system, which is called the... It's not called content supporter is it this new system which is going to be like the trust system is basically going to let you run

any of these story dungeons in a realm reborn with these npcs rather than having a queue for them which for some dungeons is really useful. So for things like. Sestasha. Tumtaro Deepcroft. Brave. Braveflox isn't MSQ. Hawk. Is Hawk Manor?

No I don't think Hawk Manor is. Tumtaro Deepcroft. Anyway. The early dungeons. Like the first couple of dungeons. Copperbell Mines. That's the know how to decross this. Anyway, the early dungeons, like the first couple of dungeons, Copperbell Mines, that's the other one I was thinking of. The first three dungeons queue really often. Like, the first

couple, because there's always new players coming in, there's always people who are going to be doing those dungeons for the first time. But some of the mid-expansion dungeons aren't as easy to queue for. Sometimes you have to wait like 10-15 minutes especially on the Australian servers where

queues aren't that great anyway. So that'll make it much easier for that. Plus, if you want to just experience the dungeons and you don't want to be rushed through them this is a good way to do it as well. Like, a lot of people me specifically

when we go into Sastasha i am going to run through sastasha as quickly as possible if you make me do single pulls i will hate you if you're a tank and you cannot pull the entire dungeon stop it please let me just tank i will tank as the healer it's fine i don't want to be here any longer than I need to be. But if you're going through there for your first time at level 12, whatever level you can do it at your minimum level needs to be, I think it's like 12 or 13. Yeah, you might be a little bit worried and totally fair.

I was worried the first time I went through that dungeon as well. Especially if you are fairly new to playing tab target MMOs. I think this is a good system. I think as of, I want to say as of 6.2 and onwards, it's going to expand into Heaven's Ward and so on. Which is also really nice, because queuing for some Heaven's Ward dungeons is not fun. I was queuing for, I think the second dungeon. I don't want to say anything too spoil-y,

but the dungeon where you fight the big dragon so you can go over to Drivania. Anyone who's played through Heavensward knows where I'm talking about. There's going to be some changes to housing. Basically, the Ishgard plot is... Or the Ishgard plot's going to be finally available to housing basically the Ishgard plot is going to be finally available, that's the

Heavensward City which I don't really care about because housing in XIV is very expensive and I'm very poor I have enough to buy a small house and that is about as much as I can do because I think, I want to say small housing is 3 million gil and I have about four and a

half million so I could buy it and then furnish it a little bit and then be broke and I want to do that so I'm gonna wait till my guild buys a house my free company buys a house whatever you want to call it and then buy an apartment in the free company. Or I will go buy an apartment in Limsa or something like that. Because I do like Limsa. Housing as of 6.1 is going to be available on the Australian service. Up until 6.1

they just weren't going to make it available. I guess they didn't want to make it available before the new housing system came in. All of that stuff. Which I kind of guess makes sense. I would kind of prefer that it was available beforehand, but it is what it is. Housing is also now going to be a lottery system.

The old system was kind of fucked. So they would go and open up the housing at a random point in a, I to say 48 hour period so if you wanted to buy a house you had to be there clicking on buy solid for 48 hours or whatever 24 hours 40 hours 30 how many hours it was too many hours hours, more than a day. That was stupid. Now you just say, I want to buy a house. You get a ticket and you're put into a lottery. If you win the lottery, you get the house.

If you don't win the lottery, you don't get the house and you get reimbursed all of the initial money you put in. Which I think is a good system. For free companies, every member of the free company can try to buy the house, but they need to have all of the money themselves. So in my case, we're buying a large house. Yes, a large house, which is 50 million gil or something around that. So every person who wants to put in a bid needs to have all of that money,

which I think is a totally fair system. Oh, yeah, there's also new hairstyles for the furry race, but they're like meme hairstyles. This is why some people thought this was an April Fool's joke, because they gave them new hairstyles, but then cut their ears off. Also, YoshiP likes to do this, where he, instead of showing graphics on the screen, will print them out on paper.

I don't know why, it's a really, really fucking weird habit he has. Like, he's shown things on the screen before, but whenever there's, like, new job armor or anything like that, new hairstyles here, he shows it on a fucking piece of paper because

i don't know he's a fucking weirdo like that oh god where did everything go oh it zoomed in um uh what else do we have we have some job balance changes which i don't think are really that exciting uh there is a new what is this Oh, this is the new Alliance Raid. So the new 24-man. Which is cool, but I am nowhere near up to have Endwalker content to really care. New Beast Tribe, which is cool.

A new mount. One of the mounts is an elephant. No, sorry, a hippo. A hippo that pulls a sled, which is cool. You can get a card minion. A hippo that pulls a sled, which is cool. You can get a card minion. Also, Yoshi plays a Lalafell because, of course, he plays Lalafell. Here's one thing that I don't mind being in the game.

So I do mind the game has a cash shop. I am not a big fan that a lot of the really, really cool glamour that you can get, a lot of the, like, real-world style clothes are in the real-money cash shop. But previously, when you wanted to buy something from the shop, you didn't know how it would look on your character because you went to an external website, you would buy the clothes, and you're sort of just left up in the air. Now there's a system called Dreamfitting where you can

look at what the clothes will look like on your character before you go and buy them. This isn't a cash shop built into the game, but it at least allows you to sort of view the cash shop before you go and spend money. If the game is going to have a cash shop and it's not going

to be in the game, I think this is a fairly decent middle ground. We talked about housing already. Oh, here's more fucking pictures of stuff on paper. Look at this. What? Does this man not understand how

to show things on the screen? Also, the alliance armor is fucking terrible. Why is all of the alliance raid armor terrible? You can get a... You can turn your house into a candy house if you want to, which will look

really, really, really out of place in Ishgard. There is a new extreme trial, which is cool. Ah, Adventurer Place. Basically, it's sort of an extended extended profile system. So previously

there was the profile system. You could have like a... I think you'd have like a quote there. Mine says Mikote Supremacy. You could have you'll have your jobs there the updated system the uh the adventure replay system you can have like what your job is you can have i don't know what this says in english uh oh wait this is playtime uh that's um so that's uh when you typically play.

Right, that makes sense. So weekday and weekend. You can have what sort of content you're interested in. And this is the big thing. You can have a portrait of your character. Now, this isn't a set portrait. This is similar to the Geepo system where you can move the camera around and

do all the fun stuff like that which means there's going to be a lot of upskirt shots I'm not saying that because my adventure plate's going to have one I'm just saying that because my adventure plate's going to have one if you've seen my 14 outfits

you know how I dress in 14. But other people are going to probably take this seriously and do like, you know, hey, look, I'm a cool chef or whatever. There's also going to be a lot of a lot of ERP stuff. Yes, because of course there is.

But the cool thing about the adventure plate system is you will actually be able to see these adventure plates for other players inside of the new PvP system. Here we go. So inside of the Crystalline Conflict. This is basically like a... How would I describe it? It's capture the flag, but with a moving...

Capture the flag with a moving flag. Some people have described it to an Overwatch system. I've never played Overwatch. I have no idea how the game works. Basically, there's going to be a crystal in the center. When you stand on the crystal, the crystal starts moving towards the enemy's base. So as it moves further away,

obviously, if you die, it's going to take you longer to get back to the crystal. The game ends when you get the crystal into the player's base, but along the way there's going to be a point where the crystal stops. This is the crystal choke point, and you have to defend it there for 30 seconds, a minute, whatever it is. And once you've got through that point, you can just push it on to the end. But by that point, you're like 10 steps away from the enemy spawn. So they're going to be constantly running out every time you kill them. I think this is a really cool improvement to PvP. This is also going to be small scale PvP, 5v5. Right now, the majority of PvP I do is frontline, and frontline is

24v24v24. So, when you have all three teams in the same location, it's very, very hectic. And it's sort of one of the reasons why, even though I enjoy PvP, I can't be

good at it. There's just too much going on. I just cannot see. Obviously, it could turn off all effects, but then that would make it a bit of a problem in other cases where important effects would be missing. But this, I think, I hope, I hope becomes popular. Because there's also going to be some cool PvP gear. So there's PvP rankings, PvP seasons, all of that stuff.

Like every single PvP system needs. And it doesn't show the PvP armor. Right now on my... Actually, I wonder. FF... Final Fantasy XIV. Go to the website. What job did I leave my character on? I wonder if I'm using my Dark Knight set.

But the 6.1 PvP gear. Man, I really want it. PvP gear. It's going to be my new Dark Knight set. No fucking doubt. Here it is. And it's a terribly tiny picture. I'm gonna find a better picture.

And it's probably going to be the set I keep using for a very long time. We'll see what other PvP sets get released into the future. But I'm going to make sure I get my hands on this one. This is going to be the series reward. That's the other thing. So this is only going to be available during uh series one when you get to level 25 so i think i think i'm gonna have to do a lot more pvp than i'm currently doing i think right now

in the old pvp system i've i've just reached 25 my cameras get is my light dying? I think it is. I've just reached 25. I've been doing PvP probably for a couple of months. So, like, each season... I think... How long is each season? I don't know. I wanted to say each season was a month, but I might be wrong about that.

They keep changing between series and seasons. Oh, they're using seasons for ranked, and then using series for the whole PvP thing.

Okay. And it's going to last between 6.1 and 6.2. Huh. So that'll be really interesting when they finish the expansion content then. Will they just make it like once every three months? Because you might have a period where there's no update for like six or seven months. So would the PvP series go on for that entire time then? That I think would be really strange. I think they're probably gonna try to, if it falls out of this schedule, it's probably gonna be like once every three or so months, which is probably fine. I think for most people that's going to be enough to to finish

everything because you don't have to rank up. That's the thing. You don't have to be a high rank in PvP. You just have to do a lot of PvP, which is fine, because you get a lot of experience. So it's a great way to level up your alt jobs. I want to do, like, I don't know. I don't know. Whatever job you haven't leveled.

In my case, most of them. Most of the DPS jobs. That's probably how I'm going to level them, actually. Because queuing DPS is not easy. It's absolutely fucked on the Australian servers. There's a reason why I don't play DPS right now. And I'm literally just playing my White Mage and Astro. Mainly my Astro.

In some cases, also playing Dark Knight. Because Dark Knight is fun. It's still fucked, but it's fun. Yeah. I'm excited for 6.1. I'm very excited for 6.1. I'm also excited to see whether people are going to start migrating to the Australian servers. Because I know a lot of

people in the forums were saying I want to migrate to Australia, I want to migrate to the OCE servers, but I don't want to do it before the strip clubs. I mean, housing is available. Yeah, there's strip clubs in 14, but ignoring

that. When the housing is available, I am excited for the housing is available, um, I am excited for the housing, though. I am very excited. I think my FC, uh, we've actually got some plans for 6.1. I'll actually see if I can find them. Um, we haven't really

done any, like, many events recently. It's sort of just been, uh, like, going through Savage clears, things like that. Upcoming events. Here we go. So pre-release 6.1, they're going to

keep doing their Unclear Sinks and Savage Mount farming for Omega and Eden. They're going to keep doing their Savage stuff for Endwalker as well. Then there is the housing Savage. Which is going to be getting the new house. Which I... I don't know how that's going to go.

I don't know how many people are going to be trying to get houses on OCE. I don't think there are that many FCs on Sephiroth. So it should be easy enough to get a house, hopefully. We might end up losing a couple, but... Oh, shit, we're also going for Ishgard, aren't we? Yeah, we're going for Ishgard, so that might actually be a problem. for Ishgard, so that might actually be a problem. I feel like a lot of new people

are going to be trying that. There's also going to be some stuff with the new 24 men, which I don't know if there's even enough people who are going to want to do that, but hey, there's going to be randos who want to do it as well.

Also, we're going to take over PvP, because even if PvP is fucking dead on OCE, if we're doing 5v5 matches, if 10 people from the FCQ We have enough people. And then

just one random person could show up, and it's fine. We have enough people. And then just one random person could show up and it's fine. We have enough people to basically game the fuck out of Crystalline Conflict. I don't think that there's any easy way to game ranked. But

gaming levels is easy enough because all you need to do is just do the PvP. I'm sure there are other things i could talk about with uh with the 6.1 changes but a lot of it is stuff that's just not not really super important to me like you know the story stuff which one day it will be, but not right now. Also, I still can't get over the fact that YoshiP plays a fucking Lalafell. Every time I

remember that the director of the game plays a Lalafell, it always makes me laugh. It genuinely always makes me laugh. Because, of course he does. Why wouldn't he? Why would Lalafells be in the fucking game if he didn't play a

Lala Fell? But speaking of 14 stuff that is not directly related to 14, I have been in the process of getting a bit of art commissioned. So

i had to i had to unscuff a little bit by unscuff i mean ignore it being scuffed so when i trace the original pattern when i use the original pattern as a base, I didn't realize that some of the pattern was uneven. And what this led to is certain parts, like certain places where I stopped didn't make, like even though it should, theoretically, wherever I stop that matches up with this point here, it should be exactly the same. It wasn't. So, I had to either remake the background, which sounds like work, and I didn't want to do that. Or, here's the or, and this is what I did.

Or, I can take the picture, I can double it, and then I basically go from the top version of the image to the bottom version. This is why this goes for 15 seconds. So, this is actually looping, like, the background loops once, but everything else in here loops twice. So, normally, this right here would be the ending of the first section. If I had the background scrolling from there to there in that time, though, it would be way too quick, and I didn't like the look of it.

So I just sort of doubled everything else, just to give the background a little bit more time to scroll to where it needs to scroll. I could have done this in a better way, but like, I genuinely didn't fucking care. I wanted it done and I got it done.

The lighting looks incredible.

think look really good. There are other parts where, like, that i think this one looks really good other parts where i just it just doesn't make any sense at the end of the day this is probably the most graphically intensive game that most people can run ray traced anyway so if you want to experience ray tracing this is a uh a way you can certainly go and do so. That's for sure. I don't know what the specs for this would actually be. What you would need to run to actually run it well. Only works on NVIDIA GPUs for now. Would be nice if someone will decide to add. Someone does.

I guess you don't have an AMD GPU. Linux support is also possible. I can provide some minor help with its development. Okay, well, yeah. You're not going to be running this on Linux. Unless you want to go write it yourself. Which, hey, sounds like an interesting project. That's for sure.

You know how I rail on a lot of the sort of overpriced gamery gear um one of those being like a lot of the stuff that elgato books puts out um nano leaf is also a company where is it nano wait here we go. Yeah, yeah, Nanoleaf, this company. The company that puts out these square lights or diamond lights or triangle lights, whatever shape this is. I guess they can be different shapes. They have hexagons and triangles, I guess, whatever.

The difference with the Nanoleaf stuff, even though I think that everybody who has a Nanoleaf basically has no personality, is at least this is something original and they are putting out a another another really cool sort of original product that every streamer is going to have and then it very quickly stops being original this is the nano leaf line which right now is selling for $180 now I saw that and thought that sounds

ridiculous, that sounds like a lot of money it is a lot of money but this is a 9 LED light line so that means each of those lights works out to be about $20.

Which, to be honest, for well-made RGB lights that are all controlled under the same system, isn't that expensive, to be honest. I don't know how bright they get. That's one thing I'm not sure about. But they're not ridiculously overpriced. Like you know the Elgato foam for example where you would spend like $3,000 to foam an entire room like a sound foam where you could buy the exact same foam on eBay for like $200. It's not like that. And you can see right the fuck away that this is made by the Stardew dev.

And when you get into things like it's showing you the UI, you're going to see it like it's straight up just by the Stardew dev. But unlike Stardew Valley, so the focus of this game isn't that you're running a farm. This time you're running a chocolate factory. Also, the combat is basically Stardew as well. making stuff and then just selling it at the general store like you would in Stardew which didn't really make that much sense. Like why does the general store want to buy all my corn? I guess I'm the only farmer in town so maybe that makes sense. But here you're going to be running like an actual store and I guess the way you lay out your store is going to have

sort of some relevance to what people want to buy and where people go. So you're probably going to have to worry about things like traffic management and things like that. Also, there's like other weird shit going on, like this is really techy place. I don't really know what's going on. Also, there's other weird shit going on. This is a really techy place. which is funny because the dev's name is ConcernedApe, my only concern is that at every single turn, people are going to compare this game with Stardew Valley. This is sort of the problem with being a one-hit wonder in any sort of field. Everything you do after that initial hit, which was a fucking massive success, is always going to be compared to the first hit. Whether it was with Gangnam Style and Psy or any artist that came before him,

whether it's with this dev and Stardew Valley, or really actually any indie dev, like any of the big indie devs out there. Take the devs of Bastion, Supergiant. They released Bastion. Bastion was a massive hit. There would have been a lot of pressure to make sure their second game was good. Was the second game Transistor?

I want to say the game they made after Bastion was Transistor, but I might be forgetting something. Games, let's see. Yeah, Transistor was after Bastion. Transistor was also a massive success then they did pyre and i don't know anybody who even remembers that pyre exists uh it might have been a good game maybe but it certainly wasn't the success that we saw um back with transistor and bastion then they dropped hades and hadades is incredible. I think Hades

needs like an expansion but Hades is really good. My only problem with Hades is it gets kind of tedious because unlike Dead Cells where they add in new weapons and add in new areas you're always running with

the same 7 base weapons, a 7-6 and then there's like different versions of those weapons, so really there's like 24 or 30 weapons, but you're always running the same areas and the same bosses and once you've gone through the game a couple of times

it's kind of easy, like it's kind of easy to get through it, obviously there are the challenge modes, but besides that that it's still the same content um but i was talking about horn of chocolatier hopefully hopefully the dev ends up making a good game i it's probably going to be a great game considering what stardew is, but it's going to live in the shadow of Stardew unless it is somehow

the greatest game ever created and maybe it will be. I don't know. It's entirely possible that's going to happen, but even if it's just really good, a lot of people are going to be disappointed.

devs of Terraria ever made anything else, it would always live in the shadow. Especially if it wasn't Terraria ever made anything else, it would always live in the shadow. Especially if it wasn't Terraria related. Like if they made, you know how Minecraft dungeons exist. If they made a Terraria dungeons, I think that could live in its own sort of siphoning off of what Terraria is. But if they want to make something that was a new IP, I would be worried.

I'm watching Dress Up Darling right now. It's very good. I can see why people said Dress Up Darling is great. Second season of Komi-san, which, it's Komi-san, so I have to watch it. I don't know what this is, but hey, it looks cute. I didn't watch a lot of

stuff that happened last season. A lot of the last anime season. Maybe I'll watch a bit more this season, especially because a lot of cute stuff happening, like this one. But there's the fourth season of Data Live, which I don't know how there's four seasons of Data Live. The second season was terrible, but there's the fourth season of Data Live, which I don't know how there's four seasons of Data Live. So maybe I should go and check it out. Um, there is a second season of, uh, D.K. Gakoi, which is basically like two, two scientists fall in love with each other and then the entire series is basically them trying to scientifically explain the feelings they have for each other. And they're doing experiments like sort of fucking science-y stuff.

Going on dates and trying to measure their heart rate to quantify what it means to actually be attracted to someone. It's a fun series, I recommend it uh, what else do we have in here that might be fun I don't know what most of this stuff in here is going to be

but sports anime, I like sports anime maybe I'll have to watch this, I haven't watched a good sports anime in a while and it's by Production IG and I trust that Production IG can actually do something good um, Second season of Machikado Mozuku, which might be good.
