Starting point is 00:00:00 So I don't have to imagine not having possessions, Gil Gidot. I don't have any. The most miserable of us will walk out of this. Probably the most unchanged, unscathed, and should we walk along like whistle and 15. Nothing that's not the shaker is God. Tell them Steve Dave. Hello and welcome to this week's edition of Tell them Steve Dave and in defiance of government orders. We got together in a secret bunker underneath
Starting point is 00:01:06 the stash the basement and we're well in the risk it right boys. Yeah, I'm fine. I feel comfortable out walking about if it's going to do okay. Much to do about nothing. Much to do about nothing much a deal about nothing uh... now we're using technology each and our separate homes
Starting point is 00:01:35 we're hoping we're using technology wall to have you uh... have you gone out anywhere well obviously we're talking about the corona thing. That's all anybody wants to talk about I mean, it's a pretty big deal. It is But what yeah, like I check the news once a day and I'm like all right It's like it's nothing more major than the day before except you know more people getting sick, I suppose But with this Tom Brady news, I thought we would have pumped the brakes.
Starting point is 00:02:09 Who the fuck cares about Tom Brady now? Who the fuck are you fucking at, you're horrible. Wow. And this is because he loves the past. No, it's because the fucking world is about to end. And the fucking Tom Brady has the fucking Doesn't have a brain in his head to be like maybe I shouldn't announce I've where I'm going yet till this all sides I mean it seems kind of frivolous at this point
Starting point is 00:02:37 It is like if um Say like a a sea-list celebrity dies the same day as Tom Hanks dies. Like Tom Hanks is going to take the headlines and Corona is going to take the headlines over Tom Brady. Yeah, do you think he was just like give people something else to think about maybe? I just think the NFL is living in a world that they don't even realize that like nobody gives a file. I shouldn't say that. I guess that's just me personally. Yeah, I just didn't care. I heard about it. I didn't get him texting me until he left the pads, but at this point
Starting point is 00:03:15 I was like, who the fuck cares? Who the fuck cares at this point? Who the fuck cares at this point? Have you sequestered yourself Walt? Are you are you listening to all the all the advice to not go anywhere and bunker? Yeah, I I Probably started the hardcore not going anywhere probably Yesterday was like the last time I decided to go to Target or anything. I didn't go anywhere today. We're not a couple walks with a lot of walks, dogs without the dogs,
Starting point is 00:03:53 but otherwise I have been in for the most part. Walks with the dogs or without? Both. Oh yeah? What are you like walking around like Thinking about shit contemplating No, not when I'm walking I don't even want to think about anything when I'm walking I saved that for the for the other 23 hours a day What girl band was a cute Mary remember that clear your mind in the rest will follow who used to sing that Free your mind to your mind. Well, it might be and vote in vote. Yeah, I think you're right. I think you're right
Starting point is 00:04:38 It's got your nervous wall I mean, how could it not how could it not get everybody nervous? I mean, I think the world that we come when it's all said done is going to be a lot different than the world before it stopped. Yeah. Out of your control though, you know, like there's I feel like I'm more nervous. I get more nervous or anxious about shit that I'm like I could controlled that, like a stupid decision I made or some fucking ass and I bullshit, but like something like this it's like. You see, I'm just on the opposite because I feel like if I have control that I don't stress about it then, because I'm kind of confident somewhat that if I have control then I can fix it or I can make it better or I can make it work out the way I want it
Starting point is 00:05:24 to. I could fix it or I could make it better or I could make it work out the way I wanted to this obviously, you know What's gonna happen gonna happen? Q. How's your fortress? I knew you had a boiler issue Yeah, my I unfortunate my boiler less than two years old The beach shit Break that all every fucking once it was once a month that it was
Starting point is 00:05:47 twice a month and then like my guy was here three times less sleep so. He's probably not gonna be able to work and come to my house soon and I have to get a homie boiler and fucking place it because I don't have time to go to the repairs and ordering parts and shit like that. So it's not too good. A lot of cold showers last couple of days. Oh, I hadn't even thought of that. I was just thinking like you've got a couple fireplaces so you could at least stay warm
Starting point is 00:06:15 somewhat. But that water, yeah, holy shit. And I have a, you know, I have to fake fireplaces and shit like that, the electric fireplaces. So that's how it's just hot water that's the issue. It's one of those ones to have the foil flames in a fan blows it. Exactly. Couldn't you just heat up the water and take a bath? I could but I don't have but that's a that's a walk from the kitchen to the back of us.
Starting point is 00:06:40 We still in water everywhere. Okay. I guess you let your your let your system go well yeah i'm here from here all your all all your all right everybody everybody's in place i'm gonna be scary uh... yeah to do all alone yet that's gotta be you know
Starting point is 00:07:02 and the way he's falling all over the place, dude, like, you don't want him slipping a fallon on the water. Yeah, it's an interesting time, man. I can't believe what I'm seeing outside my own window, though, the lack of traffic on statin. I don't want to know everything. It's really crazy. Yeah, same with around us. Like, if you take a ride, Walter or even in the mornings where it was nuts with school Like you realize how many fucking kids there are around here because without the school buses and shit and without that school traffic There's nothing I guess it's a people who are not working in the area, too, you know Yeah, I'm scum. I'm really fucking nervous man, I mean I'm nervous. I think they're
Starting point is 00:07:47 in a really bad situation here. I don't know man, I'm nervous in a way. I feel that I feel almost the same way. I think I would feel if there was a war going on in this country and it was two states away. You know what I mean? Like something bad. Yeah, something good. Dude, it's bad. I don't know. I don't have a good feeling right now. I mean, nobody does, I guess, but I really don't.
Starting point is 00:08:12 Did you, did you, did it feel like it came out of kind of left field? Like it just felt like it happened. Like it was like snap. And then boom, everything was different within a second. I felt like it didn't, it felt way too quick. Yeah. Well, you heard about it. You heard about for months, for a couple of months, and it was like, oh, it's worse than the regular flu.
Starting point is 00:08:36 And oh, and people are going to sick. And then you're right. It's like bang, no more flights. You can't go out to eat. It did seem like in the span of less than a week, these changes were put in the place all the restrictions and shit but the lead up to that which is really weird is that nobody speculated about okay well this is what we're gonna have to do it was almost like it it was truly out of left field like this everyone's hands have done but yeah like
Starting point is 00:09:03 no one was like saying this was the way that we were going to have to fight it. This is the way that things were going to have to go. It was like, everything was fine one day, and then the next day it was like, everything's different. Everything's done. You're like, what are you stupid? Why are you out in public? I mean, when I think of that, when did you you feel what was the first time you said either both of you were like the thing that really triggered you to be like, okay, something really fuck up is coming down the pike. What event happened? I think for me it was the restaurants. You know, and they're like, that was pretty
Starting point is 00:09:45 recent. Yeah, when they when I shut down the NBA in NHL, I was just like, I had like, I so quickly without no like hesitation, all they suspended the seasons. Yeah, I to me, I was just like, that's not like they basically wave the white flag within a second. Yeah. I know. I know. I know.
Starting point is 00:10:08 I know. I should try to save it. Yeah. Yeah. I was talking to Jordan, you know, Jason, uses wife. And I'm like, I don't understand like all the, like they're so, like you said, like they're just without blinking an eye, they're like, hey, okay, no more flights and you know from this from from anywhere outside the US and the borders are closed and all this other shit. It made it like it made me wonder.
Starting point is 00:10:33 What what are they not telling us? Because it seems like if you look at the statistically the number of cases versus number of deaths, it's not that high relative. versus a number of deaths. It's not that high relative, but Jordan was like, well, if everyone goes out there and gets it and gives it to each other, it's like, they don't have the supplies now. Can you imagine if, you know, 10 million people get it? I think that is the definitely is the game player. It's like, like they have to stagger the amount of people getting sick at one time so they're not overrun and the health care system doesn't collapse under itself. I think that's all this is. It's just a delay tactic just so that like they're not faced with like emergency room full of thousands of people in each one. I was talking to Eric today.
Starting point is 00:11:27 He told me as to work the next 12 days in a row. Like, with that shit. Yeah, and he said, like, chances are highly likely. He's like, I'll probably get it at some point. And he's like, and the people I'm working with, like some of them are old. So they'll probably get it and they may not survive, you know? Now, what is he, now is he in our emergency room?
Starting point is 00:11:47 Because I thought he was a psychiatrist right? He is but he has like his MD so he can do certain other medical type shit I guess. So he's going to go into the front lines? I don't know about that. He's going gonna go bust up some exotic meat markets in china uh... but i think it's but i think it's the emergency rooms like take care of the ill uh... yeah i think he the he uh... works in a house the hot the place where he
Starting point is 00:12:16 works at the hospital so he can help out another capacities you know because he knows what to look for or whatever I suppose so he doesn't have to be helping out but he is I think it isn't have to be buddy is yeah fucking man that Johnson that that Johnson that one that's what Johnson's doing not those Johnson's like that's Yeah, I wrote a text to him earlier. I said, well, you know, before you go, definitely, you know, take a look at your will and make sure that the prescription pads go to me. He's not worried, right? Because I mean, he's not in that danger area. I don't think I mean he looks so relatively healthy. He looks like he'll be fine. Oh, yeah, younger guy. I mean, I don't know what the, but I guess like it just if you got somebody with it standing right there, it's like one little wipe of the eye, one little, you know, journey, miss that point one, like a hand sanitizer is 99.9. Maybe that point one snuck by. You know, I guess that's all it takes. Now your home with the girls, the girls aren't going
Starting point is 00:13:34 anywhere well. No, no, they're, I think the realization hit them a couple days in and the faces, you know, like the thousand yard stair came in when we were like, well, we can't go there. What about here? Well, we can't go there either. Well, what about here? No. And then it was like, oh, my God, it was like, then I think it really just kind of felt so real, you know. Yeah. So real yeah Yeah, it's like is you know, they're not like I mean like the three of us It's like being like hey you have to stay home. It doesn't seem like a punishment that much Well, I'm gonna say don't you this in this like business as usual do it. It's almost is virtually unchanged
Starting point is 00:14:21 I really when I was thinking about it. I it i was just like why don't think he does anything different than what he's gonna have to do now everything that's all that's to do this one of our country's been doing for the last twenty five years i was on top of it man i was i was born for this moment uh... yet i mean aside from like you know uh... like sage being home that's a big thing home school in her Is You know I didn't go to school to be a doctor and I didn't go to school to be a teacher
Starting point is 00:14:51 But somehow I turned into a teacher now. Well Mary Beth too She's but it's like dude hours a day It's not like here's It's not so sizes like I feel like I should at the end of this I should get a teaching certificate I hear people like substitute or something maybe How long can you commit to that before you're just like just go watch some TV? her schoolwork Yeah, well you have to
Starting point is 00:15:14 It's like online. It's not it is as advanced as you would think it would be too. I was like why can't Like all these kids have these Chromebooks like these little computers that they send home with them So I'm like why can't the teacher just teach and they watch it on the screen Which I think I'm gonna try to do what's it like live streaming. Yeah, yeah I think they're gonna try it on Monday, but it would just be two you remember when Tom Steve they've tried the live stream Yeah but it would just be two. Do you remember when Tom Steve, they've tried the live stream? Yeah. It's really hard to have for us. Yeah, so what makes you like that is like
Starting point is 00:15:51 educated people in the school can do that. I'll tell you what, if a special needs class can get it together and we couldn't, I'm gonna be really upset. Yeah, this is, it's weird, it's a weird situation for me. The TV shows down, the beer company's down, but we can't tour. We're supposed to be doing all the warm-up shows now for our big tour in the summer. And none of that can happen.
Starting point is 00:16:15 I don't know. They're saying that they're hopeful the tour is still going to go on the phone. But I'm like, yeah, it's just fucking crazy. But it seems crazy to me that everybody's thinking that. But apparently, they still think it's he's crazy to me that that that everybody's thinking that but apparently they still think it's gonna happen. Yeah, I mean this is gotta be the most time you spend your home quite sometime, right? But I had that time off of my throat surgery but yeah this is the real fucking test of it all. Still got nobody to talk to Well, you got all those tin bowl machines, right? I imagine you're fucking must be the pinball wizard by now all the high scores I'll tell you what I'm a lot happier than anybody I know that has kids everybody I know that has kids like this. The guys from my fire house like this is hell like the uh my friends like everybody
Starting point is 00:17:10 know that has kids is like this is the worst this is horrible. Yeah my kids are old so they do their own thing and it's not yeah it's not like that for me so. Right. But I could see young kids like yeah I could see it being very difficult if you have young kids trying to keep them busy or try to tell them that, you know, how things are different now. You've got to go to school and you're at home. Yeah, and the first writer, that's tough. Now you're a home school like a religious freak, you know. Yeah, I'm worried like, what are you like, I'm worried about the are you like I'm worried about that like crew from the TV show like I'm worried
Starting point is 00:17:48 I mean like what's it get him gonna do for money like what is this guy start digging Yeah, I mean I think that's everybody who is Really affected by this has got to be Thinking that same question. I mean, I don't know if that store will be able to withstand something on this level. It remains to be. Yeah, I don't know. I really don't know.
Starting point is 00:18:17 I mean, it's one of those things. Like I said, though, it's like where I said, it's out of your hand. So you just got to not stress about it and just see what happens after it's all said and done. Oh wow man I mean this is so crazy though right I never knew to dream this was the this would be the plan of a tactile. I think if and the reason I didn't tell anybody is because I didn't want to really do what they did in the last like 40s which was go take everything out of the store. Even though they were doing it anyway though. How do you feel about that? Don't you feel like after it passes like if you do someone who is doing that like hoarding that shit like they should
Starting point is 00:18:55 be shunned you know like cast. I thought you think like what an asshole move. What do you mean? I mean you have to like go hoard up for it. There you go. Yeah. What do you think? It depends, well, it depends on how many people you have in your family. But like, let's say, okay, well, you got a family of four. Right. You don't need an entire palette of hand sanitizer, you know?
Starting point is 00:19:18 Like if, if you're genuinely concerned about, yeah, that's all I mean. Yeah, like, I don't, I mean, you can buy a healthy supply, but like shit wear, like, obviously the assholes who are trying to sell it on eBay, like, you're glad that they got busted. But just like I saw a video of somebody who's like, I'm almost set. And it's just like the amount of shit where it's like, why would you ever think you would need this much of this product? You know, and you don't. And ultimately, it's like, why would you ever think you would need this much of this product? You know, and you don't. And ultimately, it's like, if it gets that bad that you needed entire pallet of hand sanitizer, because like society is descended
Starting point is 00:19:55 into that level of chaos, probably somebody's going to come by and just take it away. And also, head sanitizer is going to be the least of your problems if it's that fucking bad. It's getting to the point, I mean, I go to the store, I don't know when the last time you guys left the store recently, but like every time I go, there's less and less there. And it's alarming. I mean, I could see where it causes stress levels to rise, anxiety to rise. I want to take dates here.
Starting point is 00:20:32 How long can they possibly expect a country to do this? I'm surprised that they even gave it till the end of March. When they start talking shit like into June, it's like that's sanity. That's insanity. You can't do that. That'll destroy the psyche of a country, though. Not to mention, we lived through World War II. I mean, you know, that's probably what they'll do. They'll start a war with somebody. I mean, that's the only way to stimulate an economy on that level, right? You're like, we got to fight somebody. I think we're already taking their riches then because maybe. Who's going to be rich as I think this is a global domino effect or so no one, no country's going to have anything to take read the rich are pretty good to keep the rich is
Starting point is 00:21:29 when you call one d say it's over well when they tell the annual back to work but what do you think they'll say the way that they'll say okay you got restaurants can open up and what what do you what date do you think it'll be by if you had to guess your gambling man sometime in June whoa whoa I don't think they could do it that long I don't think that's possible wait was they're gonna get everybody out then there's gonna be a second wave of fucking everybody and everybody getting sick then.
Starting point is 00:22:05 I don't know if that's possible to keep everything close until June. So nothing but vitals until June? Well, I was thinking more people on their house, on their stay home order than businesses. Well, that's what that means. Businesses like you got. Yeah, but the stores were open and stuff like that until recently, because of like your game stop closing now and shit like that. So businesses might be able to open. Well, I don't know. I got no fucking clue, dude. I got no fucking clue.
Starting point is 00:22:41 Yeah, I was doing is a zoom is a fucking grim grim fucking date Yeah, I I think that okay, we're with March 23rd something like that Another week I would have to think by The like end of April at the latest. They have to get shit back on track. That's another five weeks. And even then, it'll be economically devastating.
Starting point is 00:23:13 I don't think that I can wait that long either. I think they got till Easter. And that's it. I don't think the country will, I don't think, April. I don't think that people will stand for it. Could you talk about a country where there's like there's some states that got like two fucking cases. Oh, yeah, yeah, you got to do it to just in New York, a California, and that's where everything is then you can't expect a riddle of America to fucking sit on our ass while the two coasts are fucking deal with this though. I don't. Yeah I agree with that but that's a heavy fucking toll if like you only like what's a Montana has one or something like that? Yeah it's the concentration. Montana on I'm sorry is Montana under the same restrictions as New York and California
Starting point is 00:24:04 ready? Well, they're in the same level of like, they want everything, you know, don't go out, social distancing. I don't know about restaurants and stuff. Yeah, that would have been a state. That would have been crazy. I think it's almost country wide,
Starting point is 00:24:19 except for a few states that aren't adhering to it. I mean, it's like a handful of states, set of the 50 that haven't, said, okay, we're closing down restaurants and everything Did you see in Pennsylvania they stopped selling alcohol? Now get him told me something now it made sense and if it's him just fucking spit bowl and like saying shit out of his ass Mm-hmm sure sounded fucking like he knew he was talking about he said and he was right though They say he said they will never close the liquor stores like he knew what he was talking about, he said, and he was right though, he said,
Starting point is 00:24:43 they will never close the liquor stores. And I said, why? And he said, because the domino effect of the people of the alcoholics who will get sick and go to the hospital because they're having withdrawals will be too much to handle, so they have to keep the alcohol on tap. And I looked at him and I was just like, that makes sense. No, I
Starting point is 00:25:07 think it kind of makes sense to me, right? I don't know how to sell man. He said that it would be they would get too sick. And that they will. So they're now they're worried about all the alt keys. Well, they would flood that they would flood the emergency room though. I don't think you don't think altes have a good still like a little bit throughout the hall. How could a
Starting point is 00:25:30 coronavirus even like stay in a body that alcohol soaked? Talk about getting them. Yeah. Get them the cheer. What's that now? He gave up alcohol. Yeah, he hasn't been drinking alcohol. You gave up all of them. What's that now? He gave up alcohol. He hasn't been drinking alcohol. He gave it up in January and he stayed through it.
Starting point is 00:25:51 It's true to it. I can't see. That's the truth. Where's the weight? What's going on? Well, he didn't give up greasy, fattening food, though. Just alcohol. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:26:05 All right. I could forget, man. Yeah. So it seems like it seems like many states have the required restaurant shutdowns, but not all of them. Yeah, it doesn't say how many? One, down, they know the, all those states that are not adhering to it. Everybody, they know everybody in the quarantine or the states that are will just go to those states to go out and do shit and do whatever they
Starting point is 00:26:58 want to do. You know, I'm saying they, they know that they'll just go to other states where the restaurants are open. Yeah, it's fucking terrible, dude. The bad situation. Yeah. Yeah. They were really, it's so fucking weird. I don't know why I arrogantly just fucking never thought shit like this would happen.
Starting point is 00:27:20 It's just never a turn to me that I've been living through something like that. No. Which is weird because like you live through Sandy. 9-11, the 92. Yeah, I was saying to someone, it's like I wonder if that's like we've seen this kind of stuff before so you don't panic as much maybe. Like you've seen kind of strife type shit. and stuff before so you don't panic as much maybe. Like you've seen, kind of strife type shit.
Starting point is 00:27:49 You were talking about this, this is on a different level at all. Yeah, but I mean, that was just an isolated incident. Right. Little pockets, this is nationwide, this is gonna be worldwide. Well, global, it already is.
Starting point is 00:28:00 I think only, like there's a couple of countries inside of Africa that don't have it, that don't have any cases that's it man like if you but like every state and every country has it i i met the i met the after effects i mean this is going to be right right the only i mean that is the cure worst in the disease though because what will be what will be standing when it's all said and done no fucking tell him I don't know what it is
Starting point is 00:28:30 I don't know but I'm already got my foot on the stool I don't know if it's gonna be standing maybe space monkeys will be standing why was you too you should violence you should violence breaking out wall? No, not now. I don't. What I see really if people are becoming so frustrated because they don't, they're not seeing the, they don't see the high number of cases of ill in their state. I see that like the anger
Starting point is 00:29:08 and the resentment of, you know, people having their livelihoods taken away and having their, you know, their retirement. I mean, having nothing when it's all said done, I think that's going to cause a lot of anger and demand for them to fucking open up business. I don't know how they can keep it till June. Well, yeah, because you're talking about like, okay, a chileese closes, but it's not one chileese. It's every fucking chile. Pretty much. And then you have your cooks, and you have your bus people, and you have your waiters and waitresses, and you have the fucking cleaning crew that comes in afterwards, and the managers, and this one and that one, and it's
Starting point is 00:29:55 fucking like this sprawling effect that takes out so many jobs that you don't really think about when you sit down and you're like, hey, I'll take some pancakes or burger whenever you don't think about everything it took, including the people who drove the fucking ingredients to get to the restaurant, you know, everybody's fucked until this shit right itself. Yeah, yeah, it's going to it's who knows how long that'll take. Yeah. But I was at the bank the other day a few days back and somebody came in and was like, oh, you guys are still open? And I'm thinking, if a bank, it banks and grocery stores,
Starting point is 00:30:39 if the bank's ordered clothes, that's when you you're gonna see that true panic, right? Like a 29 People could it withdraw money and everyone starts freaking out and shit So I know you guys are in the food, you know Are you guys worried about getting sick? No, I don't know, not really I don't worry about my parents because they're down there in the army to do the end there i'm not fucking taking it seriously down there
Starting point is 00:31:08 no golfing it's not fucking doing shit like that i'm like mosh they're away from everybody it's crazy down there i'm like i can't even get to you if there's something goes on not fucking do it stupid shit but they they close the restaurant down there in the villages but they they'd like
Starting point is 00:31:23 sary's on with golf and they're like oh we're all the villages, but they'd like to have a life series on, but golf, and they're like, oh, we're all the golf course, we're away from each other. And I'm like, all right, I didn't understand that, but why not just stay home? Now, Brian, do you think that you had it when you were sick earlier this year? I, you know, the more I read the symptoms,
Starting point is 00:31:42 I'm like, they were so bad, it was like something, nothing I'd ever had before, then I'm like, it had to have been it, but then I I'm like, they were so bad, it was like, nothing I'd ever had before then I'm like, it had to have been it. But then I'll read like something anecdotal where the ladies like it felt like I had glass in my lungs. Now I never felt like that, but does that mean I didn't have it? I don't know, but it was bad, it was real bad. Now when I say, now I didn't,
Starting point is 00:32:02 I mean, you mentioned in the last summer Steve David did, I didn't wanna say it at the time, even before this happened because I didn't want to sound like a lunatic but I truly believed that I had caught it From what everything I was reading about and I was like well that makes sense that makes sense But again, I had those same things where I was like well, I didn't feel like I was gonna die. I didn't feel like I was like that sick But I certainly had weird symptoms. I didn't feel like I was like that sick, but I certainly had
Starting point is 00:32:25 weird symptoms that I never had before and Frank got it and Frank's wife caught it. Then you got it a couple of weeks later and then you gave it to Michelle immediately because you guys drove home from New York. And I remember being like when you got sick and I wondered, well am I going to catch what you had because you can you can a shellquarter from you, but I didn't catch it. I wonder if I didn't catch it because I had already had it already. I wonder, can you get it? I mean, this will hear some feel good news for you. Harvey Weinstein tested positive for coronavirus.
Starting point is 00:33:01 Let's see. Ken. No, from what I've heard, they said you'll have some immunity built up for like a year to it. Oh, yeah. You'll have enough of the antibodies in your stream to, you know, to knock it. If you come in contact with it again for a good year, you may not get it again. May. Right.
Starting point is 00:33:21 I'm convinced. I know my wife thinks I'm'm crazy but I'm like I mean I was talking to it about Frank again just the last couple days I was like dude I'm almost certain that I got it my daughter had my daughter never get sick never get sick and she had something like that. I mean, I hope it seems like you can get it twice from here, but very rare. Very rare. So one of your daughters got it and say,
Starting point is 00:34:00 Caitlin, like, I mean, it's one of the things I brag about to people is like, the kid has never gotten sick. Never got a sick in school. You know, in 20 years, never took a sick day other than intentionally because she didn't want to get perfect attendance. She never took off. Never got sick. And we would like joke around about it because my other daughter would get sick so often But then you know and the she mentioned there that she got sick
Starting point is 00:34:33 And I was you know on the heels of me getting better she got sick then She's let you down by getting sick He's getting it her getting sick around the same time is like it's a headscar actually because she you never get sick though so maybe that leads me to believe maybe it was that thing then. Hmm. Yeah sage got real sick right after Mary Beth got sick we're actually during the same time so I got to take care of both of them while I was still sick. And I mean, she is Christ. She, and hers was pretty bad. I mean, she had a high fever and shit for three days. So, I mean, I feel like it went through us.
Starting point is 00:35:15 And then we didn't, we didn't get anything back again after that. And she, she's going to school where like those kids were fucking dropping like flies, man. What do you miss the most, won't like not being able to go out there and I mean obviously I Mean obviously going, you know the stash. I mean it'll be fucked off if the last day at the stash was you know Was the day was one day or two's Tuesday of last week. And that would be anything. Yeah, that was the unceremonious right right there. I was just being like, we're just staring each other for six hours because nobody came in because
Starting point is 00:37:16 there's not one. There was nobody in Red Bank at all that last day before we closed. If that was the last day watching shitty game shows, that'll be kind of an anti-climactic though. But you know what, if they were like, hey, where were you the day the stash closed for good, I would be like, well, which one? The one that I've made ran into the ground? Or... And then I would say, I was there. I was there on Monday. I stopped by to get some mics and you were out shopping for something. They said you were looking for something.
Starting point is 00:37:48 Oh, really? Yeah. So I was there. And they were starving each other. You're right about that part. Yeah. So I guess I'm I'm I'm miss going right now. I miss going out to, you know, after dinner or I mean, these are trivial things. Yeah. Because it's more about the how the, how awful it's going to be for people when it's all said and done. Yeah. I don't give a fuck about not going out the e. It's the, it's the, it's the misery that's going to be inflicted upon people when this is all said and done.
Starting point is 00:38:21 It's going to be horrendous. Yeah, and it's hard to be like. You think that good. Go ahead, you. Go ahead. As I said, do you think the government sending checks out and trying to help everybody was gonna make that any easier?
Starting point is 00:38:35 You're just like, very right. I mean, I guess they think it will, I mean, smarter, I mean, smarter people than us are deciding that that's gonna be enough to help, right? I can't see how that little bit is going to be enough to help, but I mean, I guess they would send more if they thought the war was needed, right? I don't understand it.
Starting point is 00:38:55 I don't know. I kind of have a cool... I got to have the smartest people at their call to fucking make the right choices on this, right? You would think... You would think? Or smart enough to fucking order enough ventilators out. They weren't smart enough to fucking get everything all prepared. Seemed like they would like it just crept up on them. They're like, okay, now we're gonna do this. Unless they fucking knew it, because I can't believe. But they knew it a little bit earlier than they were supposed to do this. Unless they fucking knew it, but I can't believe that they knew it a little
Starting point is 00:39:25 bit earlier. They knew that this was the game plan. No, that they knew this was the game plan. Oh, yeah, I mentioned that's fucking crazy. I mean, but the woman from the White House was like, look, it would be crazy to keep 100,000 ventilators on deck. Like, nobody does that. People would be like, that's an insane thing to do. So, it's like, we were somewhat prepared. We just obviously weren't prepared for this level. Because they had since December, though, but they had since December, when they saw it was whatever it was November when it was in or December when it was in Japan or China. Did they increase the order for ventilators? I mean, if they didn't, why not?
Starting point is 00:40:14 Yeah. Right. Why not? Well, Trump was going around fucking saying that it's no big deal. Right. But then he was. We backed off that a bit. But then to have another, did you hear about that other senator or congressman who they got secret audio? They
Starting point is 00:40:31 were secretly recorded in him at a meeting, talking about how this was like last month in February, saying that he knew it was going to be like the Spanish flu. And he sold a whole bunch of stocks. The other are two people that did that you know. He was briefed. So if he was briefed back in February, and he knew the ship was going to hit the fan, and didn't tell anybody, and didn't let, didn't tell the country, or his, or even his state, like him, and you better go stock up on shit.
Starting point is 00:40:56 It's going to be bad. He just told people it was going to be, yeah, we're, we're covered, we got it. But if he knew it, that means all of them knew it though for sure and if that and if that's the case why was he fucking saying that shit Trump then why was he saying that fake news no worry about it's no big deal why would he fucking say that I it makes no like I took a great question why it says here uh four different senators sold stocks before the
Starting point is 00:41:27 coronavirus threat crash the market that's another thing all these retirees who like have their money in the market and rely on those checks each month man it's like what will they do that is senator's q they got a nail of the wall, right? They got to fucking So nobody ever why do they do it though? If you're not smart to get to be a fucking senator, why do you think that you can do this and it's no one's gonna notice? You're gonna dump all that stock and no one's gonna take no one's gonna raise the like route?
Starting point is 00:42:00 There has never been a time in history where people notice more shit that you're doing Everyone notices everything all the time You know, and you like remember Martha Stewart it was 60 grand Yeah, this is how it's all you What's that she went to she went to gel for 60 grand that's all that was 60,000 She made these people. And what was she worth too at that point? She must have been worth millions upon millions upon millions.
Starting point is 00:42:30 That is. At least tens of hundreds. And she was so greedy that she was like, I can't stand it. I lose 60 grand. Yeah, these amounts were like, one was 350,000. One was about 900,000. And then these other two were 1.2 million together. Yeah, somebody's gonna notice that shit you guys. Yeah, and what they said was
Starting point is 00:42:53 all like travel related stocks, like stocks and hotels, stocks and all sorts of stuff that they knew would be tanked if a pandemic had to break out. Oh my god, what a hole. How are they not being fucking vicarated right now? Oh, they are. I guess when the ethics committee is going to look into it and all the investigations will happen, but right now you and you got to focus on the issues at hand, but that ain't going to go away for those. I mean, not only now that they have to go to work and try to
Starting point is 00:43:29 fucking do the right thing now, but they got that hanging over their head. Hey guys. Oh. Oh, my God. That's bad. Yeah, that's having that looming as you're like, all right I'm supposed to be like helping the state get through whatever shit We're going through it any given moment right now. It's the fucking worst thing ever and on top of it I have to think about the scandal that once people don't once this is that dust is settled on this
Starting point is 00:44:03 You're like now or you. Yeah. Yeah. They don't want to. They don't want their. They want them dead. Can you imagine going to have to talk to your constituents? You're constituents, is that you say it?
Starting point is 00:44:17 And you know they're going to be fun. No one wants to hear what they have to say. They fucking. Yeah, you're going to. You're going to try to convince people that it was coincidental, the timing. Not one person, not one. Well, the one lady who did it, she went on TV, I saw an interview with her and she was saying, I don't make these decisions, I have a financial planner who does it all.
Starting point is 00:44:42 He makes all the decisions and I had no idea he was going to do it. Oh, let's talk to him. Let's see why he decided at this very opportune moment. You got to think too, like, with kids being home, like if people are prone to short fuses and domestic violence, that shit has to shoot up to right then the cops. Oh my god yeah you're right yeah I mean people who aren't in the best of situations are ready and being now being forced to stay together 24-7 you know and where tensions can rise. No, boy. What?
Starting point is 00:45:26 So what are we going to do? So I mean, like there's nothing that stops Don't see David, though, right? Like we just keep going. I get the store closes, Walt. Yeah, you're a full time. You're a pelicans. You're a full time.
Starting point is 00:45:39 I don't know about that. I mean, I'll probably have to find another job on but you know i'll still find time for comes to you fuck is hiring you old man i think i could really look up the table you know we so at the end of the corona virus shit you're like that's when you start your job on i don't know because i know i don't, I know I'm going to be a lot more.
Starting point is 00:46:07 I'm going for the jobs, but I mean, I think my resume, I can, I can put it out of pretty good resume, I think. I can check for PA positions on a practical girlfriend. Do you think that you guys will be able to do it? Do you think that you've ever given a job on the crew? Yeah, I think so. I don't think you'd want to do it, but I've seen his PA skills in action. You won't be impressed. You're telling me I can't get a no-show P.H.O. The were boys. Come do come come on to the set to arrogantly pick up your check. I don't know if you know who knows the fucking of Prankles,
Starting point is 00:47:11 yoga will make a bet. We only shot two episodes of the season so far. And if we're down for so long, I don't know. I could see it being like, hey man, we were totally restructuring, we got no money or anything different now and wrapping it up. I don't know, you never know. Nothing can be just that. Like just for me personally thinking about it. My whole life, like... They have to have programming though. They're going to be like, remember that show that was the most popular before all this shit?
Starting point is 00:47:44 How about we trash it and Yeah, but they have they have so many seasons of it already. Yeah Don't you think we need you now more than ever Q people need to watch stuff I don't know you guys should be doing it like from from bubbles like Travolta should point the bubbles I Mean it's really fucked up though. Yes, ship boy in the bubble. I mean, I think it's really fucked up though, you think about a cue. I mean, the most miserable of us will walk out of this, probably the most unchanged, unscathed,
Starting point is 00:48:16 and should we walk along like whistle and fizzing, because nothing has happened to this guy. Finally, the sky is parting for him, and there's a little one little sun beam is floating down down and it's on Brian Johnson's head while everybody else has got this that will have the clouds in their heads. Dude, fucking I'm driving down the highway every light is turning green. I mean, that really is like a complete 180. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:48:48 Thankfully, due to my procrastination like Alpanic a month or two from now, and then all the shit will be back on the shelves anyway. Now, did you go and did you go and get supplies early on, or you will call with your pants down, Brian? No, I don't I don't get that stuff Mary Beth does most of it like she's she does all that shit online So most of the stuff that was necessary she already had anyway and Like when like I went to the I went to shop right one day and the self-check out
Starting point is 00:49:25 I was like that looks like a 40-minute line to me. I'm not gonna do that So I went back and I was like you got to go shopping So she you know she went out and she went shopping because she didn't care and I think we've been out to the grocery store one other time since then But yeah, we we had most of the stuff that we needed anyway. I imagine you do too. Do I have to see? Well, I mean, well, you know, hey, I want to give a, I don't know, I can't remember if I did, but if, yeah, I'm pretty sure I kind of poked fun at somebody who I want to apologize to, but I think I want to give a big apology to Mike Zapsick. Oh, yeah, the only guy that I knew who was preparing for this and was right.
Starting point is 00:50:15 And he, you know, he, he, he fucking was the little, what was that squirrel who gets all his nuts in order? Uh, isn't that every squirrel? Well, isn't there some squirrels at this fucking whistle dixie? Oh, okay, you're talking about the rest hopper. The rest hopper on the end. Right, isn't that ironic? We should be in. But he was not, he was right to get all his fucking shit together. And he was out early on this. He was fucking way ahead of the curve getting ready for this. He was getting ready in December.
Starting point is 00:50:53 But he's, he gets excited by his bug out kits and that's the type of thing, like him, the shells and all the one, like they get real excited at the Doomsday prep. So yeah, it makes sense that he would be prepared His excitement turn to fucking Anxiety last day I saw him though. I mean he looked like he was on there. It looks like he was a little wrapped a tight No, when we part ways last week. No shit. That's like day one of the quarantine. He's not even home yet
Starting point is 00:51:28 Has anyone heard from Julia or the kids? I'll do a lot of given props on it. He definitely probably called it. Yeah. You never, like I always, after Sandy, I was like, I should, I should get a generator just in case the electric goes out and i'm like i should get it i should get it and i just never get it and i don't i don't think this is going to require a generator type situation but the day will come
Starting point is 00:51:53 what i don't think i get that generator i don't think you i don't think you should be playing around a generator though i don't even you have a hard time getting a recorder to record sometimes you know when you fucking plug a generator in the wrong way, everybody dies. Yeah, that's true. Like, why was he trying to do it in the house? And that's why I'm a good generator because I'm like, I'll tell everybody. I've rather said the dark. You guys are going to be doing the generator yourself, right?
Starting point is 00:52:27 Like, when you have somebody's soul, and you're talking about like one of those gas ones. No, just like a gas one. Gas ones. Gas ones. I mean, they're not that hard. So I can be every year. People die from putting them in the wrong way.
Starting point is 00:52:38 Or fucking running it wrong. You think that we're fucking crafty enough to get it the generator run right? Yeah, I mean, I, I I I would say you're your problem because you think about the millions of people who do get them going correctly I think you guys probably fall into that I couldn't get the Xbox that's her not today. I had to call my youngest daughter All right, you know what? I my hand to God the only reason we're podcasting right now is because Mary Beth figured out this new recorder. I got Otherwise, we wouldn't be doing it right now
Starting point is 00:53:10 A giver to fucking generator manual before you Yeah, I'll let you want to sit around in the dark all night here figure out how this generator works That's the reading That's the only thing that could be worse in this situation now. If there was no power, that's the only way it could be worse. Oh yeah, because you remember after Sandy, like, 10 days, 12 days, something like that of Noah, Electric is like holy fuck. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:53:39 And wait for people, man, and bring some to a breaking point. Yeah. He gets scarred for that with that shit. I know it's horrible, but it's true though. Do you see, have you seen any increase in tension at all around your house? Is anybody snapping at each other? Um, not yet. No, I mean, I hope it doesn't happen, but I mean, it gets to be understandable. So it does. Right. I mean, the longer it goes on or the more, you know, anxiety builds up and you have nowhere to release it. So I hope it doesn't happen, but not yet, though. Well, maybe you should make the first move to establish your dominance, you know?
Starting point is 00:54:26 Yeah. Like, fucking go off. That ship sailed. That ship sailed in 98. That's what I'm saying. That's what I'm saying. That's what I'm saying. That's what I'm saying.
Starting point is 00:54:34 That's what I'm saying. That's what I'm saying. That's what I'm saying. That's what I'm saying. That's what I'm saying. That's what I'm saying. That's what I'm saying. That's what I'm saying.
Starting point is 00:54:42 That's what I'm saying. That's what I'm saying. That's what I'm saying. That's what I'm saying. That's what I'm saying. That's what I'm saying. That's what I'm saying. I'll turn you Xbox off on the talk. I don't know if you saw it, Cure Walt on Netflix, I watched Macmillions. It's a document. Did you watch it? No, I heard about the sweepstakes and McDonald's right mm-hmm very interesting It was this the total scam
Starting point is 00:55:12 Yeah, I mean at the time they uncovered it like what that there was an inside Criminal ring but they really explored over I think six episodes and this Netflix special it's fucked up. Like it's fucked up how long people think like how long people get away with shit and then suddenly somebody's that your door and they're like you didn't get away with it. To run on for a long time, huh? That was a long. Yeah, we're like like with DNA people who kill someone and 30 years later It's like Yeah, and then they're like hey you thought you got away with that shit. I was watching What the fuck was it? It was one of those little half hour ID shows and it was about a guy who lived in Florida
Starting point is 00:56:10 and he was like a do-wop singer, but like a terrible do-wop singer. And he told people in the area that he was a former member of Shanaana and his name was like. If you don't know, Shanaana was like a do-wop band. They were at Woodstock That's how they became popular because they're at Woodstock and they I Guess got a lot of exposure than they had a t-shirt. Yeah, they had a second life when happy days hit right right put Sean On on because it was a throwback to the 50 shit and it was like a almost like a variety I don't do you remember a queue
Starting point is 00:56:43 It was like a almost like a variety I don't do you remember he was like a variety half hour Every night It was a thing 50 songs a little comedy skits I played I played some of an episode from Erie Beth and I'm like Imagine like the fellow camera watching this shit every night, but we did But the the guy this guy his name was Tommy C He called himself and he met up with these other guys who did like the bar circuit down in this I think it was Jacksonville or something and bar circuit down in this, I think it was Jacksonville or something, and met up with these guys and sort of established a rapport. These other guys were other duop singers who were like more established. So he's like, hey, my name is really Tommy, whoever, or whatever the name of this former guitarist
Starting point is 00:57:42 for Sean Anal was. And this guy, I guess because it was, you couldn't really research it, but this guy had died, the guitarist and from a heroin overdose. So this guy, Tommy C., the alleged duop singer whose masquerading as this former Shana Nawa guitarist who's masquerading as this former shot on a guitarist, tells these other do-op guys, yeah, something went on, they paid me a million dollars to go away and never talk about it. I'm under, you know, a contract or whatever, non-disclosure shit.
Starting point is 00:58:18 So I can't talk about it and I had to change my name, but that's me. And they're like, all right, and then this weird fucking story about this guy who, for whatever, decided he wanted to become a do-op singer. He's a shitty one. Somehow, they figure out that he was really from New Jersey.
Starting point is 00:58:40 He escaped from New Jersey 30 years earlier after murdering his girlfriend and her child. What the fuck? That's crazy. I've ever heard of it. I would go into a life of public. Yeah, that's what I said. I'm watching that.
Starting point is 00:58:54 I'm like, you couldn't be more conspicuous. Why are you doing this? Oh, that's fucking weird. Yeah, and that was his shitty singing was what got him in trouble. Like, he was, you know, these guys were like, okay, like, well, you can open for us. These other duop singers, and then he gets up there, and he's terrible.
Starting point is 00:59:20 And the club owner, like, people are walking out. The club owner's like, he sucks. What the fuck you guys? Like, denting their credibility but i'm like what an odd like guy to choose to right uh... really weird did i ever tell that story on on thelm steve they've got to about the it very eccentric customer who would come into the station he
Starting point is 00:59:43 he told us that I mean this guy was really eccentric. He told me that he got the job as Uncle Jesse on Full House. Did I tell this? Did I tell it on Tom Steve? I don't even know if I told it on Tom Steve, Dave, I don't care, remember. But he told us he got the job, but then his mother got sick and he had to, they filmed like 10 episodes with him and then they had to scrap them all and then recast them when he had to go take care of his sick mother. And I'm looking at the guy and I'm like, well, I know what John Stamos looks like. And I'm pretty sure, and all my eyes are going, I go, but even the worst fucking vision can see that you're a fucking no way shape or form. Do you look like
Starting point is 01:00:25 Thomas. I mean, I mean, not even if you got hit by a bus, it was tracked for 50 miles. He's still with Lecredder than you do. But he told this all this and I was just like, of course, I scoffed at it because you would never be able to find this out. You know, you would, I mean, there would be no real records even on like on the internet. But then he made the mistake of saying that he was in another TV series that only lasted six episodes before I got canceled And it was what Adam West he said and I was like really I go what was the name of it because I'm like well I'll be able to fucking look this up definitely He said it was called the last precinct and he played He was about a TV comedy about a police precinct.
Starting point is 01:01:08 And one of the cops would always come to work dressed as Elvis. And I was like, and so he told this story about how he had the job, got canceled. But you know, meeting on West was the thrill of his life. And then, you know, he left and immediately ran to the internet. But like, there was so little information about last precinct though, because it's your show. I was like, well, this guy probably picked a show on purpose. But there was a website back in the day that's no longer around called I offer, which sold
Starting point is 01:01:41 any bootleg you want of any TV, any, all bootlegs of any kind you could get it there They had everything and I went on there and I asked me as I can you look up less precinctives on there And they did I ordered it and it was not that dude So he would go around tell people he was on the last precinct though. Yeah, I remember being he He I wanted to he looked like Elvis but he like as much like Elvis as any fat dude with a ductile like sort of hairdo like that would look like him. Yeah but I know I knew the guys real name and then we looked up the guy who played the last precinct and they were
Starting point is 01:02:20 definitely not the same guy. Without a doubt there was not a chance in hell but like but that's the kind of thing that like I'm ever telling Deb and she was They were definitely not the same guy. Without a doubt, there was not a chance in hell. But that's the kind of thing that I'm ever telling Deb, and she was like, so weird out about that story, that she was terrified that if he ever found out that I knew he wasn't that he would get violent. That's just like, why would you jump to that conclusion? Although it's so out there what he's claiming, that it's like, I mean, it's totally possible.
Starting point is 01:02:49 He might. But can you imagine that, like, you know, tell going around and telling that story, though? It's weird. It's just really weird. Yeah, and pretty fucking out there. And you're not the only one he told that too? Right, exactly.
Starting point is 01:03:04 That was the thing, That was his icebreaker. A fucking lie. Yeah, we should pick out who we would be if we had to change our identity. Like what the ceased celebrity? Like who is that Jimmy Seville and England? If there's one thing I do not have to tell you guys that it is unpredictable out there. And one way to worry less is to get the right life insurance. Starting point is 01:04:22 Policy genius will always get the future wrong but are getting life insurance rate apparently uh... the national guard is being called out in uh... California oh yeah for what uh... to help uh... distribute food they're saying that's that's scary because why don't you need food distributor? Yeah, I don't know I see why is it why would the why would the food supply chain break down now if? Yeah, that doesn't make sense. I mean, I I want to get my tire fit
Starting point is 01:04:58 I mean, I why you're looking for a brightest one's really fucked up So I want to get my tire fixed one of the few things I did because I had a flat tire for months. I put air in it and it would slowly leak out. But finally I decided to do it so much time I get it fixed. And the tire guy, when I went back to pick up the car, starts yelling at me, not at me, but like he's so agitated. He's kind of blow off steam telling me why he's so mad and he goes I don't think buddy if I yeah if I curse that your wife on the phone I apologize
Starting point is 01:05:30 like a what he goes yeah well your wife called me he goes while I was talking to your wife to let you know your car was fixed he said my wife called was on the I was on the phone my wife and he said that now this is way told me I swear to God and I'm like this is how like rumors start though is that his wife he didn't want his wife he wanted his wife to refuse to accept a request to go help in Ocean County New Jersey to give out vaccines for the coronavirus. And I look at him, and he's very agitated, the guy behind the counter. And I say to him, I go, what vaccine? He goes, oh, he goes, well, it's not a vaccine, but they're going to start giving out these two drugs that fight malaria and something else he goes. And I told my wife you're
Starting point is 01:06:25 not you are not volunteering to help that out because the postcards already down there ready goes they're ready to implement this this is going to go into effect in a couple days everybody's gonna have to get these shots or else you're not gonna be able to do anything and I'm like he was telling me with such conviction and such like anger because he was afraid to have his wife go down and be exposed to people. And I'm like, how does he know this, though, and where is he getting this from? Like why would he make this up out of the blue?
Starting point is 01:06:54 Why does he seem so self-assured? It was just weird though, but like he said the co-star is already been called out and that these two drugs are going to be administered to people and because they apparently they help quite a bit and to get started giving them the people, so if they get in contact with the coronavirus, it will give them a leg up. I had read about that, the malaria drug that that was helping. But yeah, you're right. That's how the rumors like, well, you know what's fact is that where they're now going
Starting point is 01:07:32 to force vaccines on us or whatever the fuck. But the way he said it, he was so angry about it. I'm like, how could he fucking fake this anxiety rage on a whim though? But then again, I don't bring Johnson. Let me tell you, I'll break it down. Oh, I guess I killed. I think he probably believed it. Like somebody told that he trusts old them and to him, it's just gospel that that's what's happening oh man but like that's how shit just fucking like somebody's somebody's like theory becomes reality yeah heartbeat and it becomes true within a second and it spreads like fast and the fucking virus well I mean it's not even a theory it's someone's paranoia
Starting point is 01:08:21 yeah and most people, not most people, but there are a lot of dopes out there. You know, a lot of idiots out there. So it's like it's jerks and morons coming up with stupid shit and then spread them on Facebook and then other people being like, yeah, there must be, they must be. That's what they're doing. Uh, crazy. I don't really go to Facebook. I don't use it. But what I do, I'm like, wow, there are a lot of dummies on here like you read people's comments And you're like these are real people and they really see you know It's saying here. I guess the National Guard is for the those floating hospitals because they're sending out the Naval ships or the Coast Guard ships or whatever
Starting point is 01:09:04 Says they're not they're not passing out food the naval ships or the Coast Guard ships or whatever, says that they're not passing out food. I don't see that here. This was updated an hour ago. It's saying medical stations with 1,000 beds for New York, 2,000 beds for California, and 1,000 beds for Washington. Q, why do you think it's,
Starting point is 01:09:23 is it just because they're so heavily traveled? Why do you think it's, um, is it just because they're so heavily traveled? Why do you think it's the two coasts that have such a high, um, infection rate? Yeah, I would say it's just the amount of people, the amount of travel that goes in and out of the country. Yeah, the density is a lot to do with it. Merrily, you think it's just that solely on that? Yeah, I think so. I mean, it makes sense, like why yeah yeah but it does feel
Starting point is 01:09:48 like uh... it's strange how it's just on both coasts not just but like it's so much more infection rate you know like i heard that you are cast thirty three percent of all the coronavirus uh... yet infections in the country which is not you think about it it's out there man
Starting point is 01:10:07 i think that's what it is i think it's just the amount of people do you think it's just inevitable that you're that you're you're going to get it me uh... if i don't have it yet i'm willing to stay in my house by myself for three months like i'm so based on that i, if I don't have it already, this is fucking, I think there's a chance I might not get it, but I'm not afraid of getting it, the virus isn't the part that I'm like,
Starting point is 01:10:34 it's people, it's, how fuck are people gonna react when they have no money, and they gotta buy food, and their family's hungry, shit. Like, yeah, that's the part that I'm like, yeah, and that makes me nervous. Yeah, definitely. Surely you must have considered that, like if you moved this whole situation back a month,
Starting point is 01:10:57 month and a half, the Joker's cruise and the Joker's movie are two completely different outcomes, right? Yeah, for sure, but I mean, I was very fortunate. It is, but I mean, on the other hand, we're shutting down production of the season of that. That means it will last the party. So I have to party shut down.
Starting point is 01:11:20 That means it will end to like my entire revenue, the beer company shut down right now. Like, I don't feel like i don't spend the whole like every single revenue stream i have it's gone for the time being so i don't know i guess you have with the movie definitely i i i i i don't know but i think they're gonna try and release the movie in like video on demand
Starting point is 01:11:46 in the next week or so. Yeah. The try and get that. Yeah, that would make a lot of sense now. And you got people, you know, sitting on your hands. Yeah. Yeah. What did you, did you see the celebrity designed face masks or
Starting point is 01:12:07 respirator mask, whatever, you know, the George Clooney sister. A couple of different celebs designed these masks and people got mad at them because they're like 30 bucks each. Are they giving that money to anybody? Literally, I'm taking it for themselves. Well, they, you know,'m talking about that. I'm talking about that. I'm talking about that. I'm talking about that. I'm talking about that. I'm talking about that. I'm talking about that.
Starting point is 01:12:29 I'm talking about that. I'm talking about that. I'm talking about that. I'm talking about that. I'm talking about that. I'm talking about that. I'm talking about that. I'm talking about that.
Starting point is 01:12:37 I'm talking about that. I'm talking about that. I'm talking about that. I'm talking about that. I'm talking about that. I'm talking about that. I'm talking about that. I'm talking about that. I'm talking about that. I'm talking about that. I'm talking about that. Gadot did about Imagine, people are like fuck you.
Starting point is 01:12:48 Yeah, and she was like, I thought that was a funny thing to get mad at because it's as stupid and as everything else. So I was like, why is this the thing that everybody's getting so set up off? I think a lot of it came down to again celebrities being like, hey, take a life lesson from us. Imagine there's no possessions. It's like, all right, well, people see you guys as rich and, you know, every tower types. I don't have possessions for real. I don't have to imagine not having possessions, Gail Gadot. I don't have to imagine not having possessions, Gail Gdot. I don't have any. You imagine it. I hear you, but it was so bad. I just felt like I agree with stupid. Like I was like, oh my God, if I knew her, as she called me for this, I'd be like, oh, I
Starting point is 01:13:37 can't do it. Yeah, what do you do? Call G-kill. You wouldn't you contribute it? I have to be like, how do I get out of this? I can't do tells Steve Dave next week with this out there. That's so good man. It was pretty cringey. It was pretty cringey. It definitely was cringey. But my feeling was like, I don't think she... I can think of the end of the day.
Starting point is 01:14:04 She was like, look man, like it's just a bunch of celebrities, gay stupid shit that's a chain you for five seconds, like what's the problem? Like why is this the thing? And I was getting so fed up. I agree with stupid and I wouldn't want to do it, but I was like the back, the back like I was really surprised
Starting point is 01:14:19 that I'm like this is what, I was like you know everybody's locked in their house with none of the fucking two. This is what's bothering everybody at the moment. Yeah, yeah, and yeah, it's not like They're locked in for the worst reasons like everyone's so angry and frustrated. It's like oh If I can sing a song will you Don't get me wrong like I am not I Think it was kind of like dopey, but well but I think it was harmless. It's just harmless
Starting point is 01:14:50 Yeah Yeah people Kevin called you off, but he was like all right The the US universe all stars are gonna make people feel good Like before before one Wonder Woman did it. Like what is your, what do you do? Start singing. Are you singing?
Starting point is 01:15:13 I'm singing for you. La la la la. Singing for your supper. All right, but what if the sketch blows? Well, are you still going to get up that phone call from Kevin Smith to be a my guy? I can't stand up my phone. I'm thinking I'm chicken to imagine. I can't do it. I have corona.
Starting point is 01:15:34 I was just like, oh, I can't do this, gal. I'm sorry. Yeah, but people have already forgotten about it, I think. Like that so quickly. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Well, you know what, I mean, the one thing that I think about it, you know how quickly this happened, almost at lightning fast speed, how things change. Like for the last, since the last time we recorded
Starting point is 01:15:56 it's almost deep-dave to now the world has changed dramatically. There's no reason to believe it can't change back the other way, just as quick though. Sure there is. There's definitely, it can change both ways though. Yeah, I think the return is going to take a little longer I believe. Probably. Yeah. Probably yeah, I
Starting point is 01:16:27 Be honest It's crazy what we're living through this is fucking crazy and it just happened like Literally it felt like within 48 hours. It was like okay. This is the new reality Yeah, hey, you know I'm supposed supposed to go away for sage's school break. We, she's, um, it's the second weekend. It's like April 8th to the 15th, or some shit. And we were gonna drive down a Myrtle Beach and spend a few days there.
Starting point is 01:17:01 What do you think? You ain't, you ain't happening where you staying? I don't know. I don't know. Some hotel, Hilton. I think I Know that there's I know there's just a whole shutdown. I hope in Manhattan Yeah, the Hilton's like shot dude. Yeah, I Got a friend that works for H and it's fucking really good. Yeah, so I don't even know if we're doing that now. But when is it? What's the date?
Starting point is 01:17:34 April 8th. Yeah, probably. Yeah, I would say nothing until Middle of April I think Maybe then they were start to reopen everything slowly Yeah, but I thought like driving would be better than flying and shit sure Totally from the open and then you see yeah, you see people like very like petty shit complaining like These are the times when you see the viral videos come out where it's like look how big of an asshole this person is where they're like they have no perspective You know like or they like to go after like
Starting point is 01:18:15 Instagram influencers for peddling Things that aren't necessities or Gwyneth Paltrow took some lumps Because you really yeah by this things that aren't necessities or Gwenf Paltrow took some lumps. Oh really? Yeah, buy this pant suit that's like $800 or some shit. You know, they always get called tone deaf. You always hear people being called tone deaf. Oh yeah, they're a little tone deaf today. These lipsticks. She has a hat, but doesn't she have a habit of doing this though?
Starting point is 01:18:40 It seems like she's always getting like a... She always bounces back. She always buys her. Yeah. The funder war prophet here. But who is her team? I mean, they're giving her a lot of life. Would you say what? I mean, whoever's on her team is giving her horrible advice on what to do and what to post and shit, right? Oh, definitely. Yeah. I mean, it seems like they're not like right now. It's the like,
Starting point is 01:19:12 hey, I'm an Instagram influencer. Here's me in a bikini somewhere and people are like, you're tone deaf. But it's like, but as little as it matters now, that's how little it should matter the rest of the time when you don't have the fucking flow You know who gives a fuck yeah like that that that shows you how fucking meaningless it is like if you can't care about it right now Right there's always shit going on in the world that's fairly horrific like yeah It's like it's out why why is it any less a form of escapeism than watching something on Netflix to some people right? But like people for whatever reason are like this is what I find to be Petty and bad taste and unnecessary right now
Starting point is 01:19:56 Sure, and you better listen. Hey you better We come out of this man. You better still be woke son Got some opinions Mm-hmm. Oh man. Yeah, no, I mean it's fucking crazy. The things that like were like that were Okay before Have to be thought of differently now. I would think right. I mean You just if you're if you're really serious about like fucking lock and shit down oh i think the i think the notion of globalization or globalism
Starting point is 01:20:30 it's a big hit right now i got my i don't know i mean if anything if they america's got a fucking fucking go back to making shit yeah that's good like i like that right it'd be great yeah be great they got to go back to making shit. Yeah, it's good. I like it. It'd be great. Yeah, it'd be great. They got to go back to make it stuff and stop relying on China. I went at whenever we fucking moved. I guess it was in the 60s and the 70s and really having any 80s moving everything into China.
Starting point is 01:20:58 It's a bad, bad decision. Oh, bullshit. I will pay it for right now. What was that? Maybe Ming Chen. Well, that was Ming saying, Oh, bullshit. I mean, because now you can't get in the vital shit you need medicine. It's just not. But people have to, um, along with that, though, people have to be like, all right, you know what? We should have more jobs in America. Uh, and I'm willing to pay more for like a shirt or those supplies or any number of things.
Starting point is 01:21:31 Oh, yeah. Well, that's just the natural occurrence. Those things will rise, but so will, so will hopefully the wages will, will also, you know, take care of that though, as you have more people working in America, factories, producing shit. Did you know what we're talking about it. Making America great again. It's gotta happen though. I don't think you can go back to business as usual though.
Starting point is 01:21:53 Nah. It'll take a while though to get all that shit up and running again where everything starts to be made more here. Then, over somewhere else. Because living in New York City after 9-11 and everything like that, especially having worked for the city in years after it, they did take the opportunity to make a lot of adjustment to 9-11, not only to infrastructure, but just to the actual building downtown, like city infrastructure. I mean not like civil service infrastructure and stuff like that Like they went in there and they made it on the changes So we'll probably come out of this
Starting point is 01:22:33 Fuck it. Oh, yeah, in the long term will probably come out better than we were Getting because that's the size of society doesn't look at Japan after World War two Like they Think of that shit out pretty good. Yeah, boot straps. I can't run my head around it. I'm not smart enough to like feel the angles, but I'm smart enough to know that there's a million angles I'm not seeing. Yeah, yeah. What have you have you, either you guys, why have you been watching anything,
Starting point is 01:23:08 Benjen Q while you're, uh, doing a little lost rewatch. Oh, yeah. Yeah. All the barriers in the like, all my amateurs season four and I'm already like a now fuck all the time travel. What about you? Well, like what do you do? What's your day? I've been doing a lot of artwork. Doing a lot of artwork and when today we started my daughter and the wife.
Starting point is 01:23:40 My wife has never really watched a series from beginning to end. Never. Really? My wife has never really watched a series from beginning to end Never really so we so we decided we were like me and my youngest daughter We're both Gaga for the office. We're like, okay, we're gonna watch it together and me and Alicia will give her our Commentary as the episode plays so we started today with So you're talking through the episode the first time she's seen it. Yeah, we tell her like, you know, like we both squealed when Jim made his first appearance on camera because we're like, he's gonna be the best character. You're gonna fall in love with him. Oh, can I join this via FaceTime? Can you record this? Because there's one thing that like we both need at least are just like, you know, we both argue who likes Jim Moore.
Starting point is 01:24:34 That's the cause of all the tension in the flat and health hold right now. I don't know, and I just went went real wire man, he went nuts. But I forgot, I could I have a watch in so long, but I forgot how fucking strong this is good. Those those early seasons are very good. Like it takes a couple of episodes to find its footing. Yeah, yeah. But once it does, there's some real strong
Starting point is 01:25:06 shit like Creed. Oh, Creed's awesome. Yeah, I take it off around two and four. I was like, I don't know, I just started to feel like it was the same thing in and out. But I really do love the show. I mean, when Roy came in, the first time Roy came in, we told him, we both were like, you're going to learn to hate him. You're going to, you're going to despise him. It's going to be like the greatest thing ever when, when Pam Folly fuck and kicks him to the curb. Yeah, it's all to that. Remove all tensions of the month. Do you remember when I was talking about the office like five years after it was off and he still had it watched it and he's like a spoiler alert?
Starting point is 01:25:58 To be fair though, my life is playing a fucking video game in her iPad while she's watching it. So I'm like, I don't know if you've got one eye on her game and maybe an ear watching the off and listening to the office. So, and she's not one of those people that's going to be like, oh, you're ruining it for me. She'd rather know. She has a like tension. No surprises. Yeah. Well, that's a good time.
Starting point is 01:26:17 Well, I hope that this helps some people kill at least what do we got like an hour and a half here. You know, that's a long one here. Hey, you know what, it helps me. I like that. I would have wanted to do fucking multiple episodes this week. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:26:43 I'm done. I got nothing but time, boys. I'm going to be doing a internet radio station on Staten Island. I'm going to be a career company that I that I've had foolishly launched seven months ago. Back in the day, I had a radio show in New York City and I just saw a buddy guy went to high school with on the radio station. The review that saw a buddy guy went to high school with on the radio station, the review that I did at our radio station, and I was like talking about doing the show, and I was like, oh, maybe I'll bring back the R&H radio hour. So, I love these, like,
Starting point is 01:27:13 I, the idea of sitting in front of a mic and publishing is very, very attractive to me. So I'd love to do this again this week to do you guys want. Yeah, well, I'm definitely can, I mean, like you said, we got nothing else going on. Yeah, I'm sure as I'm sure as the as the weeks go on or the episodes that follow this, I'm sure we'll get a bit lighter and not so I'm having a maybe more yucks. Yeah, people can tune in. We'll talk about all the coronavirus news that happened two days earlier. I love it. All right, boys.
Starting point is 01:27:49 That is, I should have made my night. I'm going to go play, um, Doom. The new Doom came out, uh, Wolf on Xbox. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Because that was every call Doom. It was a first shooter right first person shoot it Deep deep and demonic imagery like if this is the the reboots of a doom that's the second one and
Starting point is 01:28:14 The first one you spend a lot of time in how fighting team is one on one Good now now how do they how do they make this for a 2020 audience? So what do they do that's different from the two? I remember it was like eight bit or 16 bit maybe at the most. They've already done it. They just they just make it look really fucking great. Now that it's it's due a man. They play metal music while you're killing like the violins is over the top, the bloods everywhere. Like it they they don't really fuck with the formula too much they keep it What it was basically so basically the same thing you just wander around and she thinks Yeah, there's a bit of a storyline now, but that's the same but it's the same thing
Starting point is 01:28:55 They got in the beginning the storyline was like hell And then that's it now the storyline is like you you were in hell and there's a whole white team and they going on not up to deep storyline but they gave it something okay and it's a single player game which for a guy like me it's fucking critical dude because I can't play I can't play with these kids on the you know the your fingers aren't fast enough. No, it's not. I get shot in two seconds, no longer fun at the league. I was gonna say, what would have played online
Starting point is 01:29:32 with you, but Alicia won't turn on his Xbox for it. What were you playing, Walt? No, I make myself sound completely out of touch, but my daughter had to watch the office. I tried to put my, I tried to turn the fire up the DVD player. I have every episode. I was like, and my daughter's like, let's just watch it on a Netflix. I was like, no, I got all the DVDs. I want to use the DVD. I want to get used to my DVDs. So I put it in my DVD player and I can't find a controller. So we watched episode one and then we spent the next half hour trying to make the DVD player go to episode two.
Starting point is 01:30:18 But every time I press it, it would just play episode one over and over again. So finally she went to a room um oh my god. She's like Jesus fucking Christ. She just turned the Xbox on and somehow you can get Netflix to Xbox. Yeah, somehow. I think she hacked it. She's like a computer genius, I think. What sort of sorcery is this? Yeah, so so then she turned the Xbox on after it had been fired up in months.
Starting point is 01:31:06 So that's we started watching it that way. But the first episode we watched, we watched it one and a half times before we finally were able to get to episode two. And your wife never noticed. Oh my god. Alright, let's talk to you guys soon. Alright boys. You gotta give it to him. Oh yeah.
Starting point is 01:31:42 Oh yeah. Oh yes. Alright. Until next time, tell him Steve Dave. Stay tuned for the next exciting episode. Back to people who put time there sitting around watching the radio in the 40s that tell, you know, that's how things have gotten so bad now. Oh yeah, they should send a picture of themselves gathered around like everything is untrue. Fire science with television.
Starting point is 01:32:12 Oh my god.
