Starting point is 00:00:01 Hello and welcome to this week's edition of Tell Em Steve Dave starring BQ. Hello. Walt Flanagan. Hello. Get him. How you stanking? And myself, bro. Sad week, Q.
Starting point is 00:01:03 Sad week. We had a death in the Ant Hill. Tommy Lumberdozy. Yeah. Yeah, he passed away, I guess. Big guy, right? Friendly. Yeah, yeah, really nice guy.
Starting point is 00:01:13 Yeah, yeah, super friendly. Super friendly and did my favorite piece of Tell him Steve Dave Art ever. The peanuts With the Oh, yeah. Yeah. Oh, man. Do we know what happened?
Starting point is 00:01:25 I think it was like an illness that was going on for a while. Wow. Yeah, I had heard, you know, I had heard on the Instagram I saw. Right. A lot of like. A lot of love. A lot of love. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:01:40 Yeah. On the gram. Which is good. What a bummer. Yeah, it sucks. Anytime you or something like that. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:01:48 There's Walt as a psychiatrist, Q getting some help, me looking angry because I'm not getting help. Walt won't help me. Oh, man. Okay. So, uh, Walt's back. Walt's back. He's back from his big trip now. Surely you have tons of stories.
Starting point is 00:02:09 I wish I had a ton of stories. I really did. There wasn't anything really all that eventful that happened, you know, worthy. of like coming back with you know Not Just regular stuff Just a regular You know
Starting point is 00:02:25 A vacation No real hiccups No real No real No highs or lows You're on a monster ride I did go on the monster ride What do you think?
Starting point is 00:02:33 I thought it was Amazing And you can Really tell the love That was put into the The I guess it's called Frankenstein's Castle ride
Starting point is 00:02:46 Yeah And, you know, the art that went into it, the design work is phenomenal and the ride is phenomenal. But it was so chaotic and fast. I was like, what happened? Yeah. Like, it was over before it began. Yeah. I got stuck on it for 20 minutes, so I didn't have that experience.
Starting point is 00:03:06 Oh, really? Yeah, I was in an up position looking at the werewolf the whole time. Oh, really? It was kind of cool. Yeah. So I didn't really get a sense that it was a fast ride. It was interesting, though, because I do want to give a shout out to a couple aunts who helped me out on our trip,
Starting point is 00:03:25 who Justin and Chris. But I made the decision that, like, if I'm going to get to the Frankenstein ride, we have to get there before the park opens. Like, you get there early for people who are staying in a hotel. You can get there an hour early. I help with the lines. Yeah, helps with the lines, helps with the heat. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:46 And the heat was oppressive. Yeah, he said it was brutal down there, right? It was, like, dangerously high. I felt like as soon as you got into the sun, you could just feel it on your skull, like through a hat. It was insane how hot. And I also want to give a specialist chat out. Big thank you to Brian Nichelle.
Starting point is 00:04:06 All right. His water regiment that he gave me before I left, New Jersey, really had me prancing around like a, like a spry water bug over the top of the, over the top of a lake. Oh, like the run across the lake. While Frank, Barry and Debbie were like kind of like dragon,
Starting point is 00:04:24 I was like, I told you guys to take Brian Nichols water regiment and nobody listened to me. What is this regimen? What is he doing? He said you have to drink two bottles before you go to bed. And then two bottles before you get into the park. And then,
Starting point is 00:04:39 you know, maybe one, you drink water as needed while in the parking. You should be fine. And he was very, right. Like, I never felt any part of me was, like, not able to, like, you know, continue. There you are, well. The Jesus Christ lizard.
Starting point is 00:05:01 There's a lizard running across the water. That was me. I felt like, yeah, with Brian Nichols. Because he's been on all those shows, the dual survival or survivor. And so he has been a. and knows what it takes to survive in the extremes. And, you know, other people didn't listen. Other people in my party were not listening. I was like five times painting.
Starting point is 00:05:28 Yeah. Oh, my. Yeah, Frank definitely, I feel, came away from Florida with a newfound respect for the sun. And water. Fear the sun because, yeah, he. He took it, I think, on the chin, the sun. Yeah, he wasn't looking too good at the end. I usually bathe in this.
Starting point is 00:05:51 I should be drinking it. So I get there early. Park opens at 9, and when we get to the park, and there's a million people there. And there's a, you wouldn't see in the Mario world? Yes. It's in the same park as the monster world. Yeah, it's split up in five, like, lands.
Starting point is 00:06:10 Yeah. Most of the people there were from Mario, I feel, and Harry Potter. I feel like the monsters are. still not getting their due. I was packed when I was there. Nobody was dressed as a monster because we have to get there early so you get to see everybody waiting in line and you get to like people watch
Starting point is 00:06:26 a little bit. What are going to wear like a black suit? What a turtle neck? I was wearing bolts on the neck. Light face paint. Are you talking about the attendees or like people at work there? No, people waiting to get in. Oh, okay. So you thought it was like a
Starting point is 00:06:43 rock concert? Yeah. Like people were cosplay to get in. Most of them as Harry Potter, which I got to give props to those cats. I mean, they may look like dweeps and nerds. But if they're going to go out there and that fucking long, black overcoat or whatever fuck it is,
Starting point is 00:06:59 yeah, you got to give it up to them and be like, you know, it's insane. You're like, why are you wearing a burqa in fucking 2,000 degree heat in the blazing sun? Some do it because they love Harry Potter. Others do it because they have to. Because a man told them they must. God said you had to do it.
Starting point is 00:07:19 All right. Fine. Harry Potter, it's pretty impressive, huh? Well, the whole thing's impressive. Yeah. But I was a bit kind of like, kind of dim my, like, I was like, where to fuck you're all my monster fucking fans at? Yeah. So they open the fucking doors or the gates at 9 o'clock.
Starting point is 00:07:40 There's a ton of people there. And they all start running in. Yeah. You know, like they want to get first in line or they want to be first in first. Firsticus. It's like Black Friday, right? And I notice that no one's running over to the Monster Land. So I'm like, all right.
Starting point is 00:07:58 Yeah. Great for me. I'll stroll. Oh, yeah, I'll walk right in, no line. It'll be great until I'm fucking stopped by security. They're like, Monster World's not open yet. Uh-oh. I'm like, I thought there was a problem.
Starting point is 00:08:11 He was not just doesn't open until 10. Why? fucking I got up at 6 a.m. I got up at 6 a.m. to get ready to get to get the shuttle that we had to get to go to the universe because it's not, you have to take a shuttle there from the hotel. Yeah. So I went through all this work. I went to bed at like 9 o'clock on my vacation. After drinking two bottles of water. So we're like, all right, well, we have an hour to kill. We'll go to the other lands, but. they had felt like we in our error of going there allowed everybody else to go in and then get in line so now the lines are an hour long by the time we walked over to the other portals to go to harry potter or how to train your dragon or forget mario mario you walk into mario world it looks like what i think the human equivalent of an of ants on an on an hill right there was just humanity everywhere just crawling over every aspect of marion
Starting point is 00:09:14 aerial world. It looked like a third world country. Like, looking for water or something. Racing for a ferry. Yeah, it was insane how many people were everywhere. Like, you looked up, there was people. You looked down. There were people. You couldn't do anything that didn't take at least an hour to wait in the depressive son. Oh, God. So then I'm like, this is at 9.30. Then I'm still got a half hour.
Starting point is 00:09:42 And so I go back and like, well, I'm going to go wait at Monty. monster world. So I'm first. So, and that security guard is gone, but there's a, there's an employee from Universal there. And I just asked her, I was like, how come it's not open? Like, how come it didn't open at 10? Because I'm kind of like, annoyed that I'm sitting here now doing nothing on my vacation for, for four hours. It took me to prepare to get there early. And then they're like, well, Dr. Frankenstein stays up late with his experiments. He doesn't like to get up early. Fuck you That's why And I'm just looking at You're like you're a softheaded child There was that delay And my face was just like
Starting point is 00:10:29 It would drive me nuts Yeah It would drive me insane I would not like that Yeah And I was like no really I said I go Why is it that it's not open
Starting point is 00:10:41 Because I went I changed a lot of my plans to get here early. What's about at 9 o'clock? And I was like, is it normal that Monster Land opens an hour later? And why is this not announced? And she's like, well, the monsters,
Starting point is 00:11:00 do you like to see monsters up early? They're not early risers. Did you bust out some knowledge? My God. She would not break. Like, those guys at Bukaham Palace? Yeah. You know, they think they break more than she would from character. It's so funny.
Starting point is 00:11:24 And I'm the only one there. There's literally nobody else to see her. She could have just let you in. But I will say she was nice, though, because I heard, like, as it got closer to 10, really start to fill up around me. And somebody came over to it. another employee came over to her they were talking and they were like
Starting point is 00:11:45 you know about getting ready to let people in she's like well I gotta let that guy in first he goes he's been here for a long time but I like damn fucking straight his friend looks like he's dying it's like those red fear people like what do you bring out of cell phone are like
Starting point is 00:12:01 what is that magical device you have and then they open the doors and people again are like not respecting me being there early just running in front of me pushing and fucking shoving but I did get on Frankenstein on the first Nice
Starting point is 00:12:14 The first car that went out that morning I was on it Nice And I didn't do the roller coaster Rollcoaster Rollcoaster I didn't like You did the roller coaster I did the Werewolf one? Yeah
Starting point is 00:12:24 No it was not good I would never go on it again I got so sick It spins And it's like you I just got nauseous It almost ruined the whole day for me Really?
Starting point is 00:12:34 Yeah you did a wise thing I went on that I don't go on any roller coasters Yeah it's smart in this case And it's not that It's the weakest part of that whole section Well, that section looks amazing, but it's a little sparse.
Starting point is 00:12:46 It's like, there's two rides. There's only a couple things. And a burning and a burning windmill. That's great, though. It's cool. Did you see it in night? No, I wouldn't go back at night. It lights up the whole sky and stuff.
Starting point is 00:12:57 Did you catch the electricity show where it like ran? Yes. Yeah, that was pretty cool. And I ate at the, uh, at the, the big. The vampire steakhouse? Yes. Yeah. Did you get to pick up any of the storyline there?
Starting point is 00:13:10 Because there's a storyline. woven into the steakhouse. Somebody told us that. Yeah. Someone told us that but I was kind of like They don't serve
Starting point is 00:13:17 garlic there. Yeah. And I was like, can I get chicken fingers? I don't give a fuck about this story. Yeah, that thing lights up. It's so cool.
Starting point is 00:13:28 You could feel the heat when it burst into the flames. It's great. On the ground, like 100 feet away, you could feel the heat. Yeah, it's dope.
Starting point is 00:13:34 It's such a good. They did such a good. It was a little sparse in terms of rides, that's for sure. But did you meet any of the characters? I met the Invisible
Starting point is 00:13:41 man. Was he a dick to you? Yes. Yeah, it's great. He's the only one allowed to be a dick. Yeah. Yeah. He called me a fat idiot.
Starting point is 00:13:51 Why fat? I think it's becoming more apparent than what every passing year. Yeah, they said the park was a buzz. I was inside the steakhouse and they said, the invisible man's outside. The invisible man's outside. So I ran out and I have my phone out because I thought he was going to do, I thought he was going to do some sort of street performance. Yeah. But he just sits there.
Starting point is 00:14:10 So I said, so he said something to me And I said, excuse me I don't know what he said Because I thought he was I thought he said something to me Maybe you recognize me or something Yeah I'm not going to repeat myself, dolt
Starting point is 00:14:21 And so I turned to the guy Like you know how they have the monsters have And so I turned to the handler I was like, is he going to do anything else? Is he going to do like any kind of Is he going to take the bandages off Or am I just sitting here waiting for nothing? I said
Starting point is 00:14:34 And they just looked at me And I was like I just want to like I know the answer But that guy also, though, having to sit there in 100 plus degree weather, wrap from head to toe. Yeah, wearing a coat and a hat. Yeah. Frank goes, he said, well, he should have took the bandages off and then shown that there was nothing underneath him.
Starting point is 00:14:54 And I just looked at Frank and I was like, do you have heat stroke? I go, how would he fuck would he pull that off? You know it's not real, right, Frank? Sure. Yeah, that's the guy. Yeah. Okay. If you stand there certain windows, like you could hear storylines play.
Starting point is 00:15:11 Like that window to his left right there. Yeah. There's a whole Jekylln Hyde storyline going on there if you wait long enough. Okay. Yeah. There was not a lot of waiting because of the sun was just like chasing us from. Yeah. I was going to say, like, sitting there like listening to a storyline as like 110 degree weather beats or sun beats down on you.
Starting point is 00:15:30 Yeah. It feels not worth it. Greatest gift shop in the whole park, though. Oh, yeah. To all the monster. stuff you'd come on. Yeah. Yeah, there was a, there was like a euphoria because I finally got to see something that like should be in every store across the nation. Every target should have a monster's department like this, you know, every Walmart should have a monster department
Starting point is 00:15:53 where they sell monster goods, I feel, but it's only in Universal though. Yeah. Yeah. You get hoodies, robes, T-shirts, figures, anything. Did you load up or no? I didn't get load up, though. Shit was really expensive, though. But it's so cool to see it. But they have it. And all its glory. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:11 I mean, they nail the bar is cool. Like, there's all sorts of hidden things. And they did a great job, but you could have used one more ride. Oh, yeah. Without a doubt, I think they need to put something else in there to make it a little bit more. I think the Frankenstein ride was so expensive. Really? That they really were like.
Starting point is 00:16:31 It blew all the budget on the ride. Yeah, they might have won all the budget on that one is what I might have heard. We took the train up, the auto train. How was that? Well, you had a compartment this time, right? Like a little sleeping compartment? Yeah, I feel that the auto train is mostly used by people who are retired. A lot older people.
Starting point is 00:16:55 A lot older people. A lot older cats. And I'm not sure how they can even go in a compartment because it's like bunk beds. Oh, right. And they're all rickety and shit. Yeah, I'm like, how the fuck did it? Like somebody in their 90s get up on the top bunk. Right, how you get up on that top bunk climbing that little?
Starting point is 00:17:12 Because there was no room to even get, like, to even like get down the bunk, like, was a chore. Because there's just no room for the ladder. You know, there's still that smell. They can't get rid of that smell of that when you open that door of that bathroom. Oh, yeah. Yeah, there's still that, that, that distinct, what. A distinct, pungent odor of an outdoor bathroom, you know, of outdoor porta potty. You just can't get rid of it, no matter how many times you put some potpourri, you know.
Starting point is 00:17:44 Light a candle. Yeah. You just can't get rid of it. Well, would you rather have the alternative? What's the alternative? Selling what's actually in there? Well, maybe just have them on the, not in the rooms. Okay.
Starting point is 00:17:55 But I guess that's part of the- The alure. The privacy, get your own little bathroom. Yeah. There's a way to do it. They just don't do it. Plus the train's sloshing it the whole time, so it's really stirring it up.
Starting point is 00:18:06 But the train that I went on in Colorado, you didn't smell it? No, nothing. You sure? Yeah. Or did you really take a good whiff? I got my nose right in there. I couldn't believe it.
Starting point is 00:18:20 I got closer and closer. I ate at some places that really tickled my nostalgia bone. I ate at a C-Cs. I haven't been on a C-Cs in a couple years. Probably since the last time we went to Florida. right? Cic's. No, probably in Penn.
Starting point is 00:18:36 They had one in Pennsylvania. Oh, I go to Pennsylvania. Yeah, CCs is a pizza place. Okay, I think you talked about that before. On International Drive, it's kind of like, it's kind of like a no frills or, I don't want to say the wrong word. It's all you can eat. Yeah, it's like a step down from like Pizza Hut, which is.
Starting point is 00:18:54 Bottom shelf pizza. But I like it, though. I like the sauce. And I found a Ruby Tuesday on our way back home in which, you know, That's rare. Yeah, that's like finding fucking Bigfoot. It's like force her to eat at Ruby Tuesday. Right in the fucking, as we're getting bombarded by fucking radio reports of the rotten lettuce that's all over America.
Starting point is 00:19:19 Oh, yeah. And you walk in and you smell that fucking that salad bar. Ruby Tuesday. Eat up, guys. This five is a fucking gangster though. She didn't care about those reports. She kept getting lettuce. Wow.
Starting point is 00:19:38 That's brave. Wow. All right. Good trip then, huh? Yeah. Like I said, it was a great trip, but not a lot of stories, not a lot of, nothing, nothing of, out of the, nothing worth telling, like, in terms of, I can't wait to get back and tell them this. Right, right. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:01 Not much happening that way. What do we got here? Well, the summer, wacky summer cue, we were here with the incredible heat. Yeah. The sharks that keep on appearing on the Jersey shirt. Oh, I haven't heard about this. Oh, yeah. There's like down like by Asbury and I think Point Pleasant.
Starting point is 00:20:23 There's like basking sharks, which I guess are not dangerous. But you're in a, you're in a, you're in the ocean. You see that fin come up? I don't think It's frightening I don't think anybody's like Oh that's just a basking shark I'll be fine
Starting point is 00:20:35 Yeah And then there was one They're not They're not man eaters I guess not No From what I read Yeah they have
Starting point is 00:20:41 They just go along And they have giant mouths That are about like Four foot across Crill Yeah Yeah man Get your krill son
Starting point is 00:20:48 Fires and The Canadian wildfires Yes Are affecting us As well as Fires in like Arizona What happened to the shark. Is there more of their sharks? No, no.
Starting point is 00:21:02 I'm just saying there's sharks everywhere so people can't go in the water. Yeah, the fires, yeah. I mean. Are air quality? Are they? Well, the range, I guess, should have. I mean, it's raining so hard. Should hurt. It's affecting my eyes. Does it? Can you feel it? Can you feel it? The mayor, no, Governor of Minnesota
Starting point is 00:21:17 said they're not going to, they're going to have fires until the snow comes. That's how bad the fires are there. Oof. In Minnesota, there fires? Yeah. That's where part of the smoke's coming from. Lightning. Oh. I'm going to guess. It could be manmade. I can't remember which one it was. Maybe you know, Gennett, but there was a lady with a Roman candle shooting it off,
Starting point is 00:21:34 and they accused her of starting one of the fires. It might have been in Arizona. Yeah, I mean, it's just, I remember there was one that was a guy towed a car in the tire blue. And then it went down to the brakes, and then it was just, he was dragging along, just sending off sparks and didn't even realize it because he was behind a camper. And he caused a massive wildfire. And then they tried to charge him for it. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:54 Like the money that thing spent it. I mean, how did you do that? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, I was in Philadelphia on, what's today? Saturday? Saturday, 18th. On Thursday then.
Starting point is 00:22:08 And it was like, I mean, Philadelphia is kind of a rough town to begin with, you know what I mean? And then you add a post-apocalyptic like haze and walking around the heat. It was brutal, man. You expect Mad Max to come around the heat? Yeah, everything was orange. It was brutal. Yeah. What were doing down there?
Starting point is 00:22:28 fun? DeRosa was in town. I guess he was there for Shane Gillis' show at the football. Yeah, Linkfield. It said I read that it broke a record. Oh, it was unbelievable. The most people ever had a comedy. Yeah, it was unbelievable.
Starting point is 00:22:47 So I just went down to pop in and hang out with those guys for a little bit. I got so hungover. I was supposed to go to the show on Friday. And I was like, I will not enjoy it. this show. It's like we drank for 12 hours yesterday. Man. I was like, I got to go home. I just won't enjoy this show. So I ended up missing the actual
Starting point is 00:23:06 show, but I heard it went great. All right. Yeah. Q's still out there partying, even at his advanced stage. You can't stop. Once you stop. You can't do it. Yeah. Excited for the game tomorrow? Yeah. Yeah. I can't wait. Soccer. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:23:22 Yeah. Okay. I was watching my father the other day. Yes, it could be good. I hope Spain wins, but why? Because Argentina one last year. And, you know, not last year, but last tournament. So it's like enough. I thought, you know, I know that's going to be going to sound crazy, but I thought Argentina wasn't Spain.
Starting point is 00:23:41 You and a lot of people, I think are learning some lessons. I was like, wait a minute, they're playing theirself? They had a Civil War? Like, what? When did Argentina break? They're in a different hemisphere? I mean, I don't really care which one of them wins. Well, it doesn't matter to me which one wins, but if I had to pick, I'll go with Spain.
Starting point is 00:24:02 My father has an important job after the World Cup. What's that? He's guarding the turf because they're going to be selling it. Oh, all right. Can he get you a swatch of turf? Apparently FIFA is like very, they're going to charge up to $40,000 for some of the pieces. So they want very tight security. So is your dad the only is like, see, he's had security on turf?
Starting point is 00:24:25 is like it's him on or is it just him guarding the whole turf he wasn't really allowed to tell me he signed an NDA yeah wow but you know they're charging them's and their NDAs yeah they're like them like candy they're charging $45 for a two inch by two inch and they kind to honor them yeah yeah they say yeah they have somebody else break them yeah so has he had to like you know has he had to like you know has any close calls or somebody's been in the stand and he had to call the snipers out? No, because he says it's a very... Yeah, that's part of his job.
Starting point is 00:25:02 Look at his face. He doesn't like you lamp and his... No, it's part of his job. They're going to put some and kill people for the ceiling grass. Maniac. If you know FIFA, they're pretty tough. Look at every Walmart in the land
Starting point is 00:25:17 is getting taken over by shoplifters. And not a shop fired. They're not run by FIFA. You think your dad can beat... You beat the rap if he had to. Like, well, I mean, they were going to steal a swatch of grass. I had to take the shot. FIFA gave him a license.
Starting point is 00:25:33 It was a clean kill. That's his job post World Cup. But during the World Cup, he really was. He scans a section of the stands. Oh, he'll be doing that tomorrow. And if he sees something that raises his, you know, his spitey senses, he can call down to sniper and be like, you know, seat. He's a spy.
Starting point is 00:25:55 Section boom. Take that motherfucker out. Out. It's his call. Around everybody. People sprayed with blood. It's like, what just happened? There's an active shooter. They had a big training session
Starting point is 00:26:12 before the World Cup. They closed off the parking lots and they had targets set out and they were having the snipers practice. That's so funny. What a watermelon? He said no. They said they had like targets. Like stand-up targets.
Starting point is 00:26:29 Oh, real? So people can watch this? No, no, no. They had shut down everything. It was like in the middle of the week. Okay. During the winter. And there was like nobody around
Starting point is 00:26:39 and they had shut down all the parking lots and all the areas around it. Right. But what is shooting into a parking lot going to do? They were, you know, practicing range and stuff. Yeah, but aren't they getting like experts who already know how to do this? That's who it was.
Starting point is 00:26:50 You still got to keep you home your... In a parking lot and giant stadium. Where else? Where else? They're doing it. I don't know if they were actually doing it. Was your dad calling it? No, no, he wasn't there for it.
Starting point is 00:27:02 Yeah, that wasn't. What kind of training did your dad have to do for this? Well, it's just based on his 30 years in the plus of the police department. I know, but he doesn't have to go through like a little bit of practice. Like the snipers have to? Like, they should send in a fake crowd and then like there's just one guy in there and your father has to identify where he is, that fake terrorist. Yeah, that's what to do it.
Starting point is 00:27:23 Right? He's worked in the stadium for 10 plus years. So he knows like all the zones and the gates and all that other stuff. Right. But even a sniper needs to keep his senses sharp, right, by practicing. So your dad should have went through a simulation where they had. Well, maybe they have like targets that pop up from behind the seats. Just like that.
Starting point is 00:27:38 One's a little kid eating ice cream. Yeah. One's a terrorist. But luckily he said they've had very few lockups and injections. They like, like, fans have been really, you know, well behaved. The only one they had like the first game was some, I think it was a Brazilian guy who came in drunk and he mouth the, out of the state cop and slapped him. Oh.
Starting point is 00:27:57 And they don't get the call to take him out. It wasn't in his... Yeah. I read that... Give him, you'll appreciate this. I read that a lot of the people coming over, you know, they're foreign people, so they don't have the same customs we do
Starting point is 00:28:11 and are actively ignoring the tip custom. Oh, yeah. And I saw, like, this... I think it was on Reddit, maybe, and it was like a bunch of waitresses and waiters posting the receipts for, like, three, four, five, six hundred, bills. No tip. No tip.
Starting point is 00:28:26 They'll just like write and later. Like thank you. He had a great time. Like that kind of stuff. Like they'll give him a message rather than money. This has been like a godsend for getting him. He just puts a fake accent on now and every... I am here for a World Cup. No tip. No tip for you. Sadly, they recognize
Starting point is 00:28:44 me at the Mustang. She's the guy with the Raycons. You should get a burqa when you go into that. This way they won't recognize you and you don't have the tip. I'm not going to say shit anyway. You just wipe your mouth on your burq. It's just a big napkin.
Starting point is 00:29:04 So your boy, Walt, Tom Brady, slaps. Logan Paul? WW's Logan Paul in Fanatics Fest video after heated faceoff in mid-beef. It can't be real, right? Oh, this has got to be some sort of... It's got to be a word.
Starting point is 00:29:18 A wrestling thing. That's what I was talking. Has to be, has to be. Yeah. I mean, what's Tom. Brady wearing the fucking mom jeans. There's a camouflage cats. Oh, yeah. Cargos. They're probably
Starting point is 00:29:29 like $5,000 jeans. Yeah, see, yeah. That's got a good work. Everybody's got baggy. Is baggy jeans back? Yeah, they are. Oh, big time. Isn't that great? Oh, okay. Men can be men against. They don't wear these nut-hugging fucking skinny jeans. Oh, God. How long did that trend go? Not crazy about the women's styles. I got to say the big baggy like
Starting point is 00:29:50 I don't mind that. I came up in the 90s. Oh, okay. That's fine with me. I like Brady with the six pockets. I'm talking 70s, low-rise, skin tight. I love it all. You need what they call, like, pliers to pull the zipper up. Yeah, I like that.
Starting point is 00:30:03 I'm not saying I don't like that. I'm just saying I grew up in the time. You can appreciate it good for baggy jeans. Yeah, when it was like unwrapped, well, it was like wrapping paper unwrapping. It was on there. That's great. How much are they giving Brady to have to do this clown show? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:30:19 How much is he being paid? We just had them on foul play, the, that series that we're doing. doing with uh you got tom brady yeah tom brady just on yeah you were in you're in florida i didn't even go to set you didn't see him no the look at the wilderman on his face would you not were you that drunk you couldn't fucking go see him no i was sober that day i just didn't really you this was up but you said it was on florida you said you were on you were in philly you'd rather go to do that than to see tom brady and talk to him tom i was in town when tom brady was there you didn't want to go oh man the guy's working
Starting point is 00:30:56 Yeah, but you only get so many opportunities. You only get so many chances to go meet him. What did you do instead? I also had a chance to go in my pool, so I took that. Whoa. Yeah. Wow. But I heard it went really well.
Starting point is 00:31:13 Damn. So he's having fun. He's out there doing it. Right, but this to me feels beneath him, though, in terms of what? If you likes WWE, then it's like kind of fun. Okay. It's a good point. Yeah. Yeah. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:31:25 I just... I mean, Logan Paul could kick his ass, but I don't know. Do you want to know what the smack was about? I know it. Look at him. Just because you're jacked doesn't mean you can. I guess he is a fighter, though. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:31:36 Okay. Yeah, I forgot. He's also in like six shape and he's probably 30 years younger than Tom Brady. It's not as pliable, though. Yeah, it says the disagreement started when Paul told Brady at a February fanatics event that he thought his WWE career made him as athletic as NFL players. I mean, I don't know that I disagree. And Brady is supposedly that.
Starting point is 00:31:56 upset by that comment that he's willing to slap somebody. Yeah, okay. Then he says something about kissing his son. Well, it says Brady then... Yes, that's the kind of comment I can see getting someone so mad that. Not that. That's just such a... It's such a clown show.
Starting point is 00:32:11 I hate shit like this. It says Brady then trolled Paul while the two played on opposite size of a flag football tournament. When asked if he was ready to get in the ring, Paul said he had a torn tricep. He does that look injured to you? He just got injured. Yeah. So that's what the beef is about. It can't be real.
Starting point is 00:32:33 Well, also the other thing about Logan Paul, I, I just because I know people that work at WWE, which is shocking, they're like, he's the nicest guy. They're like, he's so respectful and nice. And all this is. Obviously, this is just to set up a storyline for them to wrestle. Probably, yeah. You don't like it. Is Tom going to wrestle?
Starting point is 00:32:52 I feel. I know. I know that people love this And there's a... And if Tom Brady's a fan of wrestling, yeah, then who am I to be like, you know, poo-poo on his dream of, you know, stepping in the ring in front of, what, 100,000 people?
Starting point is 00:33:09 Sure. But it does feel like... It's just corny, man. Could it be Tom Housin? Oh, man. Tom Brady and face makeup? I would be shocked at that. I would hope so.
Starting point is 00:33:24 I'm shocked at that. I'm going to bet down on that in Kalshi. Let's see here. Q, do you remember the wallet I had before I got my Ridge? Oh, it looked like shit. It was a giant crust of rubber bridge. I was like. I was actually fucking ashamed.
Starting point is 00:33:40 Yeah. Sometimes you would have to go out. I'd pull out my wallet and be like, guys, I got it. He's like, no, no, no, no, no. He's not with us. Get this homeless skill out of here. Ridge. Unique, slim.

Tell them Steve Dave sent you out. Now, if we're done with that one? We're done with that one, yeah. Okay, all right. Lifetime warranties.
Starting point is 00:35:08 Mm-hmm. You know, they really don't last for a lifetime? No. And, you know, there's no court you can go to because it is not really respected. It's not like the courts will not side with the consumer on this. So there's something you can say. You should not have an
Starting point is 00:35:28 expectations of a product ever lasting your entire life. Besides rich. Yes, besides rich. Because we came into possession of a shitload of VHS. What was the brand name again? TDK or something. I think it was TDK, yeah.
Starting point is 00:35:44 And on the box of each one was a lifetime guarantee. So I called the number that was on the box because I was like, they're not playing. And we had a VCR here, and I kept putting them in. They wouldn't play. Did you use your time phone to do it? So I called the company, and I was like, I inherited, I tried to play it.
Starting point is 00:36:08 I didn't know which way to go. I inherited over 100 TDK VHS tapes from my grandfather, and none of them work. I like the equivalent in today's money for them with the lifetime. warranty that my grandfather had. Now, they were like, they said that it's not. They have no idea what I'm talking about. First off, they said. Video tape?
Starting point is 00:36:36 And they said that they would have someone call me about this, but nobody ever called back about it, though. No. But now we looked it up. Yeah, there should be no expectation. That is just hyperbole. Really? Puffery.
Starting point is 00:36:48 Puffery from a company. You can put any. Anything. You can say a lifetime warranty, you don't have to adhere to it. Did you know that? That is fucking insane. Well, maybe they met your grandfather's lifetime. I think there's the, there's the gray area, though. Is it the lifetime of the product or the person who bought it? And then I, you know, the person on the telephone said, and you have a receipt.
Starting point is 00:37:09 And I was like, I said yes, but I don't have. I didn't have a receipt, though. But, like, if I had a receipt from Bradley's from what I bought him for $1.99 each, you know, would I be able to get my $20? $18 back for those tapes. I find craftmen tools. Like I've always been able to like. Craftsman, yeah, but I think that they've changed.
Starting point is 00:37:31 Yeah, even they have abandoned. Oh, really? People took advantage of it though. Scumbags. Well, not like me. They're trying to find loopholes to get rid of these.
Starting point is 00:37:45 Real POSs. Yeah, people are like, they go to flea market, buy them and then go return them. Yes. Yes. Yeah, but, yeah. Oh, especially after Sandy. Okay.
Starting point is 00:37:53 They were, like, going through, like, the wreckage and stuff and, like, pulling out old rusty tool. I never had a problem. I was just going on. When's the last time you tried to return a craftsman? I was on the fire department. Yeah, it's been a while. Yeah, I don't think you can even do it. I don't even, where's craftsman even sold now and out of Sears is gone?
Starting point is 00:38:10 I think it's all the lows. Lows. Yeah, I got transferred. Yeah, but the lifetime warranty, yeah, don't fall for it. Don't fall for it. If you ever feel like you're on the fence about buying something, you're like, well, it's got a lifetime guarantee. It really does.
Starting point is 00:38:22 Except Zippo and Rich. Yes. Zippo, same thing? Oh, Zippo, yeah, Zipo, you can send them a mangled lighter and they'll send you a brand new one to replace it. The interior or the outside? Both. They'll say, if you send, when you send them a lighter with an interior, they'll send
Starting point is 00:38:35 an insert, they'll send you a brand new insert and your old insert back, if there's anything wrong with the old insert. But what if your Zippo, the steel case is like you... You can run it, you can run it through a chipper shredder and they will just replace it. They can't fix it, they'll replace it, though. Wow. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:38:49 The only thing they don't cover is finish. So, like, if you have a painting on it or something and that scratch, they can't do anything about that, yeah. Wow. Scams. What was on the videotapes? We couldn't fucking play them. We had the VCR out.
Starting point is 00:39:03 We had fucking seven VCRs. You went to the farm and fucking, I think it was its VCR, to be honest with you. All of them? Yeah, I think he's got fucking, you know. Something living in it? Yeah, there was all spiders and shit in the fucking in the VCR. It's like a leg just pulls itself into the, I took them apart
Starting point is 00:39:21 I blew them out I did everything to them And they still wouldn't play the fucking tapes It's the tapes There was Like we were doing it for Like we're trying to develop A new Patreon show
Starting point is 00:39:33 It was a Gettom came up with a idea I thought it was really cool But it's proving harder To come to fruition It was called Getem Steve Dave's mystery media And we would just go out And buy VHS tapes
Starting point is 00:39:47 Like blanks that people recorded on. And you see them at flea markets and shit or garage sales. And we put the tape in, and then we have a panel of people, and we play what's on the tape, and we discuss what was on the media. Not a bad idea. Not a bad idea. But we couldn't get any of the fucking tapes to play, you know?
Starting point is 00:40:04 And that way when we could, it was like 17 hours of Twilight Zone. From the fucking sci-fi channel. Not even like an old... Like Channel 11. Yeah, no. It's like the sci-fi channel. It says T's on it. So you're like, oh, maybe it's like a zone of something.
Starting point is 00:40:18 No, no Twilight Zone. You guys can't really weigh in on this next sponsor. They're brand new. Oh. Brunt, boots. Oh, I can weigh in? Can you? What you're talking about, bro?
Starting point is 00:40:31 I'm just in Florida, man. Fucking a boot capital of the world. I mean, other than maybe Texas. Yeah. A lot of boots? Boot barn, boot city. I'm just like, why are you need so many fucking boots here? It's hot as hell.
Starting point is 00:40:44 Who needs boots? You need fucking sandals. Well, according to, Brunt, they're saying that it's trade workers, blue collar guys. Oh, that's my favorite type of guy. Salt of the Earth type guys. I can't stand white color guys. You get a guy like Q, I'm not even sure they'll let him wear brunts.
Starting point is 00:41:02 A little bit too fancy. A little bit, yeah. You can get blue color if you want, so I've seen him. I got the cred. Yeah, you definitely do. You still got it? You still living off that old creed, huh? Oh, until I die.
Starting point is 00:41:16 Yeah. As long as it's brunt. Yeah, brunt. A lot of boots. Let me tell you a little bit about them. Blue collar roots. Founder Eric Gerard grew up in the trades. He built Brunt because legacy brands stopped listening and became fashion companies.
Starting point is 00:41:33 And I think you can say that about Timberland. Timberland started really leaning into style as opposed to function. Yeah. Yeah. I wore Timz all through high school. Yeah, I used to have them too. Yeah. When I used to do a little bit of trade work myself.
Starting point is 00:41:47 When did you do trade work? I used to work with Edgar sometimes. Oh, yeah? Yeah, when I was really young. You wonder where your steel tipped boots? Had to, yeah? Yeah, because I don't want to, like, drop any wood on them or, you know, some beams or whatever. Beans?
Starting point is 00:42:00 Beams. Oh, okay. They're like, you're in charge of starting the beans. The lunch beans. Edgar, Edgar, I brought magic beans again. Yeah. They're going to work this time, I'm sure. On the house in the clouds.
Starting point is 00:42:17 We'll build a, we'll build the chateau in the sky. Come on, let's do it, Dad. Pam can play the harp. Let's see. Every product is named after a real tradesman that helped design the gear. They're tough but comfortable. Most boots force you to choose one or the other, but brunt-built gear is tough as hell, but uncomfortable on day one.
Starting point is 00:42:45 Can they make an admission? Sure. I have the inability to wear boots because the one time I wore boots, I got blisters. Oh, yeah? Yeah, so I've got feet that can't wear boots. I think that they happen to a lot of people. Yeah, you've got to break them in. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:43:02 How do you break them in without getting blisters, though? You lightly wear them, like, around the house for like an hour, like, and then, you know, you slowly increase the time. I've even heard that you, like, go into a ton. That's a lot of effort when I can just put my fucking slip on my fucking sneakers and not get blisters. Well, that's a good thing about bruntz. They are built in. Oh, they're already broken in?
Starting point is 00:43:21 They're already broken in. You don't need to break them in. Yeah, they're nice and soft. They wear them around their living room, and then they send them to you. Here you go. Zero break in, no weeks of blisters. These feel good the second we pull them out of the box. These might be your blitz.
Starting point is 00:43:36 These might be my boots. These are my boots. We'll be tramping around Airport Plaza in our Bruns. Wow, they got like cowboy work boots. Yeah. High quality build without heavy uncomfortable fuel, of traditional work boots. Options for every job like waterproof,
Starting point is 00:43:51 safety toes, soft to heavy duty, lace-ups or pull-ons. Would I be considered blue collar? Sure. Yeah, I would. I'd consider blue collar. Yeah? Not like gray collar. Like, he's not really out there,
Starting point is 00:44:03 you know. You got to see him load and unloading his... Yeah, man. But he's loading and unloading his basement, you know, to get the patrons. Did you see those pallets that were dropped off in my driveway at midnight? I didn't see that now.
Starting point is 00:44:15 Yeah, that would qualify for blue collar. Yeah, man. Bust of my ass. Let's see here. In my brunts. Busted my ass in my brunts. Yeah, that's what you do. That's what you do with brunch.
Starting point is 00:44:24 You bust your ass. You bust your fucking hump. Bust it like a blue collar game. Yeah. Bruns are celebrating America's 250th anniversary with a special collection of limited edition gear. It's tribute to the blue collar workers who have helped build America for generations. The collection launches in July will only be available for a limited time and
Starting point is 00:44:40 quantities are limited and expected to sell out quickly. Have you been thinking about upgrading your workwear? Now's the time to do it. And there's a risk-free trial. They let you actually wear their boots to work before deciding if you want to keep them. Real job site days. Not just walking around the house like Gettem says. And if they're not right for you, you send them back for a full refund.
Starting point is 00:44:58 That's a 100% risk-free trial. So stop overpaying for workwear that doesn't last for a limited time. Our listeners can get $10 off by going to bruntworkware.com backslash t-E-S-D and then use code T-E-S-D at checkout. This is top-tier gear for an incredible price. Plus, with a risk-free trial, there's no reason. reason to not give them a shot. I couldn't agree with that more. Most places are like, oh, wait, there's a little tiny mark on the soul.
Starting point is 00:45:23 You bought it. Yeah. You bought it. How come no one told me about the breaking in process of boots? Like, even when I bought them, no one said you have to break these in slowly. Or did you buy them? Coles. Yeah, you got to go, like, if you go to a shoe store, they'll tell you that.
Starting point is 00:45:37 Remember that shoe store guy we saw on that 60 minutes clip? Yeah, okay. Yeah. But nobody told me. Yeah. So I just wore them and. you know, pay the price. That's why Brunt's a good brand, man.
Starting point is 00:45:49 They come out. They tell you everything you need to know about boots. Oh, those are the... Holy shit, you are blue color, bro. At 11 o'clock at night. Those are a lot of... It was a lot of boxes. They came at 11 o'clock at night.
Starting point is 00:45:59 By 2.30, I was done. Wow. You're going to wear my brunts. Nice. Be getting complaints from the nail store downstairs. It's all that clomp it upstairs. Somebody's got a pair of brunts on. You just talk more tougher, too,
Starting point is 00:46:15 if you're wearing boots, right? Get a little bit more like phlegm in your throat. Yeah, a little more gravelly. Yeah. I got my brunt. Steely, your gaze gets a little steely. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:46:27 Start staring at people. Yeah. You're looking at. They're brunt. I'll fucking kick you with this. What are you going to do? What are you going to do? Start cat calling girls.
Starting point is 00:46:34 Yeah. Like a real construction worker? Yeah. What's up, baby? You see my brunt? No, no, no, I didn't call you. No, I didn't call you. No, I didn't call you that.
Starting point is 00:46:41 I said brunt. Brunt. Well, say, Walt, you said, actually we're doing a overkill today. Is that true? Yeah, I had some stories come to my attention while on the trip while I was just surfing while I was, you know, either, you know, a passenger in the car or some of the long hours to get back to New Jersey. Some things came to my attention that were overkill-ish. I'm not, I don't want to step on, you know, the overkill Maestro toes. I noticed he's not here, yeah.
Starting point is 00:47:12 He's not here. But, you know, I found the. stories on my own and, you know, so I didn't feel the need to contact Tom. Right. Let him steal all the credit and glory. He's going to find that about it through listening. Yeah, he's going to listen. Yeah, this is not an indictment on his overkill skills.
Starting point is 00:47:34 It shows that you don't need him. So it might be. I need them. I need them. You're doing that work while you're on vacation. Just not now. Just not in this way. So one of the things we did, we went to Savannah, is that how you saying?
Starting point is 00:47:55 Savannah. Beautiful city. Beautiful city. And there was a morbid museum. I can't remember the name of it, though, but a lot of serial killer stuff, a ton of serial killer stuff. A lot of John Wing-Gacy's paintings. Like for sale? No, just on display.
Starting point is 00:48:15 They weren't the, I don't think they're original to you. I think they were dupes. And I feel like if you have more than one tattoo, you're definitely into serial killers. I just feel like because like you're not into them, but like you're interested and you're going to. More likely to gravitate. Yeah, because like we were the only group at the museum that didn't have any tattoos. Like really? Yeah, I think if you have like multiple tattoos, you can almost bet your bottom dollar that you will, you will be like, yeah, I'll go to a serial.
Starting point is 00:48:44 Your mind leans in that direction, right? Yeah. I think you're right. Yeah. I mean, you see a lot of, a lot of people who are into that kind of stuff, they are usually heavily tattooed up.
Starting point is 00:48:52 Yeah. Why do you think that is? Maybe it's metal. You know, tattoos are metal. They have more of an edge. Yeah. You know,
Starting point is 00:49:01 because my wife wasn't into it. No, I wouldn't imagine so. She was just like, she doesn't like crime shows, huh? No. No. No.
Starting point is 00:49:07 She won't let me put them on before she goes to bed. Oh, okay. But, you know, she's of the mindset. Like, who would pay to, you know, watch or listen or see
Starting point is 00:49:19 serial killers how they lived or you know or all the facts she goes she can't get it through her head she doesn't understand
Starting point is 00:49:29 right doesn't compute one of the other things we did I'm sure you've done this you know where the fountain of youth is Q yeah it's in Florida in um I can't remember the name of the town now oh I know it
Starting point is 00:49:41 uh I was looking at it up I'm looking at her first it was on the way home Daily own. What is it? Fountain De I forget what town
Starting point is 00:49:50 it's in. St. Augustine. We stop there. Oh, another pretty town. Pretty town, but boy, the fountain of youth is pretty underwhelming. Yeah, I've never actually
Starting point is 00:50:02 gone in to see it. I've been at that arch. I've been there. I've been in the parking lot. Then I'm just like, how long is the wait? There was no weight. There was no weight. There's a, like,
Starting point is 00:50:14 like a park you go to, you got to pay $20 to go see this. You know, come out of the ground or whatever and it has the water and everything. But it was one of those things, right? I asked Frank, I was like, if you were, you weren't, you were hired to, like, you know, beef up attendance at, you know, the founding. You go, what's the first thing you do? And if you was like, you'd be like, you know, maybe try to, like, land a licensing deal with a minion you goes to. To be the spokesperson, because that's the only thing that could get kids in here. It was so fucking boring.
Starting point is 00:50:52 Oh, you're just talking about specifically drawing kids in? Yeah, like just getting people into the park because it was so bad. Yeah. It was horrible. I would, what I would do is I would get like an elderly actress to come in and drink it and then do some trick where suddenly she's a young hot chick. Like I would do that twice a day. Oh, you're talking about like a little acting. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:51:15 A little showman show. Yeah. I would do stuff like that. Goes from like a be author to a Sydney Sweet. Yeah. Oh, my God. You wouldn't get me away from that part. You,
Starting point is 00:51:24 yes. They weren't into it. They just were into like, you know, it's history. Yeah. That's good enough. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:51:31 It's not. Did you spend any time in St. Augustine? Because they got a fun little pirity vibe going to the town. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:51:37 We did the shopping little district in there. Yeah. It's like kind of got the same Key Westy vibe, St. Augustine. Yeah. Well, well, anyway, so we went to this.
Starting point is 00:51:45 murder museum or serial killer shit and one of the things that I found out was that the day John Wayne Gacy was executed there was an eclipse and on the same day that John Wayne Gacy was executed Jeffrey Dahmer was baptized in jail really
Starting point is 00:52:12 what are the chances of that That seems slim. Right? And they say when a solar eclipse happens, that is when demons can travel freely, more easily. What do you think that? What do you think it means, though? They killed one guy and turned the other guy to the Lord. Well, I think that they're saying that Gacy maybe jumped into Dahmer's body.
Starting point is 00:52:42 I still got fucked up. Yeah, I mean, it's probably an arguably worse ending. Yeah. Yeah, he thought he was like, yes. And then he got fucking fucked up in the shower. Yeah, he got clobbered with a broom hanger or something. Yeah, he got, fucking, that guy was nuts. So he jumped into another gay guy's body, though.
Starting point is 00:53:07 So that's convenient. But what are the chances, though, of those. events happening on the same day. A solar eclipse. Yeah. A famous serial killer getting baptized and another famous serial killer getting executed. Yeah. All in the same, at the same time happening.
Starting point is 00:53:27 I mean, it does sound like a triangle of, of, uh... A triad of evil. Yeah. Well, it's hard to, I mean, he got baptized, which means that his sins got forgiven. Yeah, right. That's all you want to think But isn't that what it is? It definitely is like you're reborn
Starting point is 00:53:48 But let's say that I've never been baptized And I'm like, you know what? I've been bad I used to steal corn from this field next door, you know And bring it home Dioria corn Yeah I was careful tonight eat the diarrhea Yeah
Starting point is 00:54:00 So are my sins washed away the same as a Jeffrey Dahmer I tried to turn people into fucking human zombies I think so Yeah according to the rules Yeah He repented his sins and is welcome to the kingdom we've got. Now that's a shitty fucking neighbor in heaven.
Starting point is 00:54:16 Yeah. You know? Like he shows up, you're like, whoa, am I in the right place? Fucking nun who spent our whole life, like praying and suddenly like,
Starting point is 00:54:23 oh yeah, you're, Jeffrey Dahmer. Yeah, go ahead. He's got saved in the end. Right, he got a little bit of water on his head. That's rough. Yeah,
Starting point is 00:54:30 so the whole thing with the eclipses is that it feels like they say like God's eye is hidden. and that's why demons can do more shit. Oh, through the eclipse. Oh, yeah. I never heard that before. That's fun.
Starting point is 00:54:49 Isn't that a weird little twist? I don't know God could be blinded momentarily. Yeah, I didn't know the sun was God's high. I know. So he doesn't see what happens at night? Well, he's got the moonlight. Sure, but only sometimes. But if his eye is the sun, then he can't.
Starting point is 00:55:07 You can't watch it all the time? Anything I do at night's just fine. What God? Or if you wait for an eclipse, that's what I'm waiting for now. I'm going to commit some serious, heinous crimes once the eclipse come back. Oh, I was just talking about all that masturbation. Yeah, I just meant that. No, I don't want to.
Starting point is 00:55:25 No, all right. So, I mean, nothing else? That doesn't, like, just knock your socks off and your underwear? Well, Mondi's. Yeah, I mean, I guess it depends on my respect for John Wayne Gacy is not that he was a demon. He was just kind of a fat asshole. Yeah. Well, you have to see.
Starting point is 00:55:43 admit he did demonic acts. Oh, yeah. He was one of the best. As far as what he did, he was like, he was like, he was a major leaguer. 30 bodies under,
Starting point is 00:55:55 like, could you bury 30 bodies under your cross post without your friends finding out? Like, they come over and they're like, chew. Like,
Starting point is 00:56:01 he lived with people. I know. You could get away with it, though, because you could just be like, yeah, it must be cats, you know.
Starting point is 00:56:07 Yeah. Cats rotting in the basement. No, just cats using it as, who Boris. What are you eating? Maybe. Maybe. It does take some fucking crazy shit, that cat.
Starting point is 00:56:18 My problem is I don't have a crawl space. That's my issue. All right. Just the basement. So it would have to be in your actual basement. And my basement is a pinball machine. Pretty nice. Yeah, I don't want to stack up bodies under that.
Starting point is 00:56:30 Do we know what the next solar eclipse is going to be in Jersey when the next scheduled one is? Oh, it was a solar eclipse? Solar eclipse. Right. Okay. August 12th. Oh. Whoa.
Starting point is 00:56:40 Oh. Oh. Holy cow. One's coming up. Yeah. At 105 p.m. Park that in your counter, Kim. Starts at 105.
Starting point is 00:56:49 We'll reach its maximum partial. Can we record during that? If you're available. Yeah. I will be wearing my multiple crucifixes, though, while we record. You don't want no demons. Are you talking total eclipse or partial eclipse? A total eclipse of the heart.
Starting point is 00:57:03 Totally eclipse for New Jersey. Oh, she died recently, Bonnie Tyler. The next total solar eclipse for Jersey is May 1, 2079. Oh, well, I'm not recording that day. We're not going to be around. Do you have a day free? I'll be busy. I'll do the 1pm.
Starting point is 00:57:20 Okay. I'd like to, if you can give me, if you know the day you're free next week to record, because I'd like to bring in Dr. D. Okay. Ganim has had an update on his health, and I thought it would be fun to have Dr. D come down and kind of, you know, give her feelings about how we should try to help you with your new, He's got a new malady?
Starting point is 00:57:45 He's got it. You're okay with saying. Yeah, yeah. My cat scans an MRI should I have a partially enlarged left thyroid. What is that? I mean, you're going to grow real tall and shit? I don't know. I have to go see an end of cronologist.
Starting point is 00:57:58 Isn't it weird, though, like how some body parts, like, you wish that they just would get bigger and large. Like, you know, people are like, oh, yeah, big fat dick, big fat tits. but you can't get no You can't get no clout for having an enlarged thyroid. No one can be like, I'll check that. Better if it was your ass.
Starting point is 00:58:18 Look at that goiter on that guy. Fat goiter. You know what's going to happen? Your neck is going to enlarge? I guess it's happening right now, so it's... It'll be so hard to strangle get them, wouldn't it? Like, there's no way you can get your hands on that guy. It'd be like Princess Leia.
Starting point is 00:58:32 It'd be like Princess Leia with the chain. That round job is that. I just wish that, like, you know when, like, something hurts. Yeah. Something's wrong. I would like if there was the opposite, when something's, when everything's okay, you just feel even better than normal. I think people do feel that way. Well, no, you get pleasure if something's not hurting.
Starting point is 00:58:53 I think people who work out do feel that way, buddy. I think they do. I don't know. I'm pretty sure, yeah, that they do feel pretty good. So where is your thyroid even located? Like, right here. And what made you think it get larger, you think? Well, I, what's the cause of making it get paid?
Starting point is 00:59:09 It could be a low on iodine. but I get it iodide, I take a daily multivitamins, so I have enough iodine. Do you? Yeah. Maybe you need to, well, this is what we'll bring in Dr. D4. You know, to see what she thinks.
Starting point is 00:59:21 Well, I get 100% of my daily iodine every day, so. I don't know if you really do. Take my multivitamin. I've heard those multivitamins are shit. You don't really work. You urinate them out. You know, you just piss out all those vitamins. All that iodine.
Starting point is 00:59:31 Well, yeah, the extra stuff. Like, can't you just administer iodine to your skin and have it absorb it? I could eat iodide salt, but I don't, you know, I like sea salt, so. Yeah, but you're at the cost of your fat thyroid now. You know, you've got to retire the sea salt and do the ionized one. No, I love my, I love my Himalayan salt. But I thought, you know, we could do a state of the union on, you know, on the health. Is it a weekday or weekend better for her?
Starting point is 00:59:59 I don't know if it matters. Okay. Because I could shake out the Thursday or the Saturday that week. Okay. The next week? Is that more, yeah. Yeah, next week. You let me know if you can.
Starting point is 01:00:08 Nope, I mean, run it by her. I could do the Thursday of the Saturday. All right. So my next story, have you heard of something called coffinbirth? Coffin birth. Sounds cool. What a name. I don't know a metal band.
Starting point is 01:00:22 Yeah. Coffin birth. Coffee. I fucking love coffin bird. Coffin birth. Is that one a dead person as a baby? Also known as post-mortem fetal extrusion. Oh.
Starting point is 01:00:33 Is the expulsion of a non-viable fetus through the vaginal opening of the decomposing body of a deceased pregnant woman due to increasing pressure from intra-abdominable gases. Holy fuck. That's crazy. Queefs them out, man. This kind of post-mortem delivery occurs very rarely during the decomposition of a body. Woo. Wow, would that be crazy to see something like that, man?
Starting point is 01:00:59 That'd be fucking nuts. The only thing I think that the closest I've ever seen to one is to remember that movie Orca? Yeah. They cut the baby out. It goes out onto the deck and shit. Watch it off the deck in here. Yeah. Holy shit.
Starting point is 01:01:17 That would definitely like stay what you're right if you saw a cloth of earth. Like you're at somebody's funeral. It's just like, oh. Oh, there goes. Oh, God. Look at him. Sork is all upset. Oh, gosh.
Starting point is 01:01:35 I don't you want to see it. Oh, it's disgusting. I mean, what great. crop work. Oh, the orcas screaming in agony. Post John is not a great movie, but a great scene. Yeah, great scene. All I remember is every time I would re-bagging and boarding comics at the stash. It was on a back cover of like every comic for like two years of the same thing.
Starting point is 01:01:57 That's true. Okay, this is so fucked up, though. So typically during the decomposition of a human body, naturally occurring bacteria in the organs of, of the abdominal cavity, generate gases as byproducts of metabolism, which causes the body to swell. In some cases, the confined pressure of the gases can squeeze the uterus, even forcing it downward, and it may turn inside out and be forced out of the body through the vaginal opening, a process called prolapse. Oh, Christ.
Starting point is 01:02:35 If a fetus is... No dignity even after death. If a fetus is contained through the uterus, it could therefore be expelled from the mother's body through the opening. Just imagine just like being a little girl playing with dolls, never realizing that. The only birth will ever give us to a corpse baby and a coffin. Life is so fucked.
Starting point is 01:02:55 It's so fucked. You never know where it's going to go. Do you want to know the last time it's been recorded? Sure. Yeah. Well, give me a date. When do you think? Give me a, I'll see who's closest in the window of like the last time this has happened.
Starting point is 01:03:13 Modern era? I'm not going to give you any hints. Like, do you think it's something that's only happened, you know, not since the 20s, the 1800s, or as, my first guess was 1850. Or as recently as last year? Yeah, I would think in 1885. You go in 1885? I'm going 1850. Get him?
Starting point is 01:03:34 I know. Oh, you're going to know? Okay. So in 2019. Wow. Really? Yeah, it happened. Well, what are the circumstances there?
Starting point is 01:03:42 I'm not going to give the name. I think it's fucked up that they give the name. Name of the person that died? Yeah. But where was it in the United States? 15 weeks pregnant. She'd been... It was like one of these countries
Starting point is 01:03:52 where they're still basically living in 1885? No, no. It's good old USAQ. Holy shit. Wood state, hold on. Let me narrow it down. Staten Island. Checks out.
Starting point is 01:04:06 They said that... At the time of her murder, she was found in a shallow grave and that the fetus had been expelled from her body, along with the placenta and the umbilical cord. Oh, so she was like a murder victim. Oh, wow. That sucks. So that fetus was probably viable until she got murdered. Yeah. And what did you see that made you go, oof.
Starting point is 01:04:27 It was a family that was murdered. This was the wife and a family that was murdered. Well, tell me, why are we hiding? It's on Wikipedia. Just tell me. It's awful. Everybody's going to look it up. No, it's not like you're not.
Starting point is 01:04:38 The Watts murder? The Watts murder. Yeah, that was pretty famous murder. Yeah. That dude was a fucking, that dude was a demon and human. Oh, shit. Yeah. A fucking total psychopath.
Starting point is 01:04:51 A maniac. Yeah. Oh, God. This might have been the last documentary I watched on a murder was this one. And I found it, like, wasn't he talking to his daughter as? Yeah, as he was. Yeah. And I was like, I don't want to, I don't want to wait in these waters anymore.
Starting point is 01:05:05 Yeah. It's just disgusting. So that was the last known documented case of coffin births. And this motherfucker is still alive? Yeah, I think so. I think he's slated for, I think he got the death penalty. Three consecutive life sentences without the possibility of parole. Oh, fuck him.
Starting point is 01:05:25 Yeah, really. His motive was resentment against his wife and children and infidelity. Guys, if your woman cheats on you, just move and find someone younger hotter. Like, what are you doing? Cheat on the back. I thought he was... Yeah, he was doing that was cheating. It was the infiddle. And I think he was like, he felt the pressure of being exposed.
Starting point is 01:05:46 And that's how he thought he would solve this problem. I guess he thought he could get away with it and... Yeah, like, if I were cheating on Marybeth, it wouldn't occur to me to put her and Sage in like an oil tank afterwards. Like, I want to keep this up, man.
Starting point is 01:06:03 That's insane. Well, let's go to something a little bit lighter. Disgusting. I didn't mention that in the documentary. Surprising way. I think it was a luff. Like that would have been the final straw. Yeah, I would have just killed myself.
Starting point is 01:06:16 I want to live in a world like this. I don't like this, man. I can't fucking. I got a squirrel that's limping in my yard. And I started crying yesterday. I was like, is you going to be okay? Limpie, come back. Oh, I hope you're going to be okay.
Starting point is 01:06:30 Without water and nuts, like where he wouldn't have to travel far from the tree. Yeah, I was worried about it. I'm going to fucking... I'm going to get him a little cart. Oh, I would if I could. A little wheelchair type thing. So the next story I have... Missy guy cat.
Starting point is 01:06:50 Oh, boy guy. Oof, that is brutal, man. It is bad. That is, that's dark stuff. Still a cool name, coffin berth. It is still a pretty cool name. Well, technically, I'm guessing that wasn't in a coffin. No, I don't think so.
Starting point is 01:07:05 Yeah. Oil drum birth. Oh, man. Well, she was buried. Oh, God, so hard. Oh, they buried her? They buried her. The kids were in the text.
Starting point is 01:07:14 Oh, okay. How do you do that? Like, how do you do that? I mean, it's just a question anybody can ask. There's got to be a total sociopath. You have to have no feeling. Well, they said he was like a robot. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:07:28 Like, even before he committed the murders, he was detached emotionally from things. Like he just didn't have the same normal responses. You know, I would equate it to a Ming Chen. Poor Debbie Chen's in an oil tank right now. No, not to say, no, yeah. No, not to say. Not to say, no, not to say that he would ever do that. But like in terms of like people I see walking around who have that kind of like vibe about them, that they're kind of robotic detached.
Starting point is 01:08:02 Detached. What does he right on the Chen scale? I was just talking to someone the other day. Over to his family. Then went to a con. I can't remember who the fuck it is. I wish I could. But they said,
Starting point is 01:08:17 they mentioned Ming Chen. And I was like, oh, I go, I know Ming. I know Ming a long time. I go, since I was 19. He's like, where he goes,
Starting point is 01:08:24 that guy, he goes, he never sleeps. He goes, I see him at cons. He's at everything. He's the first one there. He's the last to go to sleep. He goes, great guy. But I can't remember who it was.
Starting point is 01:08:33 But I was like, yeah, that's funny. Yeah, that's. Legend gross. Yeah. He is a legend. So have you guys heard of something called Walking Dead Syndrome? I feel like I've experienced it a few times.
Starting point is 01:08:48 Is that when you go on for 10 more seasons than you should? It's also known as Kotar delusion. Oh, yeah, I've heard of this. Walking Dead Syndrome is a rare neuropsychiatric condition where a person holds a fixed delusional belief that they are deceased, missing vital organs, or do not exist. Yeah,
Starting point is 01:09:11 I've heard of this before. They did a bit in that show Hannibal. Yeah. The Silence of the Lamb's Shohanable. Yeah, I didn't see it. It's pretty good. Yeah,
Starting point is 01:09:19 it's pretty decent. And there was a, there was a storyline where a girl had Kotart syndrome and it was fucking freaky. Well, what does she do? She would, like, hide under the bed and just like,
Starting point is 01:09:28 she would think she was dead, right? Yeah. Wait, wait, wait, be under the bed? But she talks? She could talk. but then what she has a belief she thought she was a ghost and like no one could hear
Starting point is 01:09:39 like she was a ghost living in this world but then when people hear her and talk to her what happens they have powers they're their special ghosts you know oh you're saying to a theme park and like she's right
Starting point is 01:09:53 the walking corpse delusion is the unshakable belief that they are dead putrefying or no longer exist the belief that vital organs like the brain or heart are missing stopped working or have turned to ash.
Starting point is 01:10:07 Because they believe they are dead, people affected may stop eating, drinking, or engaging in basic hygiene, which can lead to severe malnutrition. Delusions of immortality in rare cases, the opposite happens, and they believe they cannot die. I mean, wow, that's a... Like, I've had a depression for quite some time. I'll take that any day over this shit. Yeah. Really? Thinking I'm dead.
Starting point is 01:10:33 Well, thinking that you cannot die would be very freeing. allow me, I may have gone on that Wolfman roller coaster. I may have been more adventurous and universal. They have been like, hey, I'm going to live forever. I'll wait in this fucking line for Mario World. That's going to take four hours to get to the front. I got all the time in the world. Nothing matters.
Starting point is 01:10:53 Or the opposite where you're like, I can't die you walk in front of a bus. Wow. Do you want to know the last case? Yeah. I'm sorry, guys. My phone is acting. My phone never acts up. It's very weird that it would.
Starting point is 01:11:17 Yeah, this is more of a me thing where you can't get to the article. You're talking about the last case where it happened? Yeah, I'm going to see the last documented case. What happened in Hannibal? That I can't remember. But like the girl, I think, I'm not mistaken, I think she killed herself in a hyperbaric chamber. If I remember correctly. Spoiler alert.
Starting point is 01:11:39 Was it, Hannibal based on? Red Dragon, was he in captivity? No, he was a psychiatrist. Oh, it was before he was exposed. Yeah, I see. He was a psychiatrist who, like, it was very, he was like, he was like Hannibal Lecter. He was really smart, really cultured, all that shit. Right.
Starting point is 01:11:57 Yeah. Do you want to guess again on the last documented case of Walking Dead syndrome? You want to go? I mean, if they're making TV shows about it recently, I got to imagine, yeah, it can't be that long ago. 2016. Wow. Yeah, 2016. A newspaper carried the report of a guy who developed Kotard syndrome following a serious motorbike accident.
Starting point is 01:12:22 What do you do? I guess he got injured and it was a brain injury and I guess the brain injury caused him to have this belief that he was dead. Soldier. Oh, yeah, Warren McKinery. Yeah, that's the same guy. He saw no point in eating since he was not alive. 18 months as a walking corpse, he thought, after America. Did he get out of it?
Starting point is 01:12:41 I think he recovered. and they treated him and he came out of his. The poor health each other recover while being treated at the Headley Court Rehabilitation Center. Oh, we met another British soldier who had another one who also had Cotard syndrome. Jesus Christ. Can you meet another guy in that, has it? We've got to be right. What's up, pal? We've got to be right.
Starting point is 01:13:03 Huh. Yeah, I would like to meet somebody or at least see like an interview with somebody, a real person who has. I think that they're dead. I think that's your dead. I think it's cooler. Well, would you rather meet somebody or see the coffin berth? I think I'd rather meet somebody, yeah, because the coffinbirth's kind of gross. In the situation that I'd have to be in to see a coffin berth, I don't want to be in. You know what?
Starting point is 01:13:32 You're the only one that probably could have seen one. Why? It took place on St. Island? No, no. You're a fireman. If you had seen... A coffin berth? I saw a lot of dead bodies.
Starting point is 01:13:40 At the scene of an accident, that could happen then. Yeah. You're probably, if anybody, all of us, you are the most likely to have run across it. I saw fucked up shit. I saw brains. Oh. Did you find yourself, like, as time went on being desensitized, you're like, I can handle this now? Oddly enough, I could handle it from the beginning.
Starting point is 01:13:59 Oh, yeah? Yeah, it was never really a thing where I was like, this is bad. Do you have a psychiatrist on staff? I mean, the fire department would give you whatever you need. Like, we were at a car accident where a kid died once, and they took us off, offline, and and brought someone over to talk to us if you needed it. But I didn't, I wasn't close enough to that particular accident to,
Starting point is 01:14:21 you know, I was stopping traffic from, from going. So, you know, while it was definitely a bummer, like I didn't need to. You didn't see any of the gruesome. I mean,
Starting point is 01:14:30 I did, but not like, not like my buddy, like my buddy, he, he was trying to actively save the kid and it didn't happen. And it was a whole, it was a whole thing.
Starting point is 01:14:39 Yeah, but I, I mean, I saw all sorts of shit. I, I, I, once had a peel,
Starting point is 01:14:43 a burnt corpse out of a van because he was in it when he had a heart attack when he was driving and he slammed the tree the whole van came up and we had to pry his body out with shovels and stuff like that
Starting point is 01:14:52 Oh my God Yeah and it was a van was filled with candy Oh gosh It was this sickly smell And then the smell Of a cooking person It was like so fucked up
Starting point is 01:15:05 Then anyone suspect him of anything He's in a van He has candy with him No he was a candy delivery man Oh yeah yeah I still remember his name But yeah that was Yeah, I saw a lot of fucked up.
Starting point is 01:15:14 I've never really talked about it on the show. We saw a lot of fucked up shit. They can hear that rain. Yeah, that rain was nuts. That's what I was dealing with on San Island. Really? Like that, yeah. Do you guys, like, do you guys have, like, it would be natural, I would think.
Starting point is 01:15:27 I wouldn't, I'm not saying it. I'm not saying, I'm like, do you guys have, like, when you talk about cases, like, with that big I'd be called the Candyman? No. I mean, if you can't remember the name, maybe, yeah, I wouldn't be surprised at that. Or it burned up Frenchman, like French fry. Yeah, one time I had to, wow, this is what I had to. I was driving through on the way here.
Starting point is 01:15:45 Fucking tornado is going to rain. One time there was a fire and there was three homeless people sleeping in a room. It was an abandoned building. And, you know, we went in and we found the bodies and then somebody had to, actually, the other company got there and found the bodies and they needed to position someone in the room because it was a crime scene until the cops could get there. So I was a new guy, so I had to sit in the burnt out room with these three homeless, fucking dead guys for like three hours.
Starting point is 01:16:12 I was so fucked up. Because their body's constrict. Right, right. So they're just sitting there like this. And you're just like, no electricity. This night. You're just like, fucking hell this sucks. Like the pugilist pose, I think they call it?
Starting point is 01:16:24 They're just, their body constricts when they do it. Yeah. You ever have to do a bio cleanup? No. Were you hosed down that? They wouldn't have us do that. Oh, okay. You'd do around here.
Starting point is 01:16:35 No, they wouldn't have us to do that. I mean, you're talking about the streets? Yeah. Oh, the streets. Yeah, we've had to hose it down. Yeah. They hear the call on the scanner. once in a while for bio-clean-up.
Starting point is 01:16:44 Yeah, it's just hosing down the street. I got, I wanted to do an overture. The guy didn't die, which I was glad about, but I wanted to do an overturn car. We bled so much. And, uh, you know, he took off my helmet to get in the car. And I just felt the blood dripping on my fucking neck. Oh, I can never forget that fucking feeling. Oh, so gross.
Starting point is 01:17:02 Oh, warm and coppery. Yeah. Oh, it was fucking nasty. Eesh. So I, so, yeah, I can wear blunt boots. What are they called? I've earned my brunt boots. I have all these memories kicking around on my head.
Starting point is 01:17:19 Yeah, you deserve them. You deserve them. And my final thing, my topic, I want to talk to you guys, what would your reaction be to a movie where a group of people kidnapped children by using acute animal to lure them out of their homes into a house where then these people perform traumatizing acts. on them that haunt these children into adulthood.
Starting point is 01:17:46 Then when some of these predators are imprisoned, they are mistreated by the authorities who imprison them. The victimized children grow up all the while still under the manipulation of the perpetrators, so much so, so much so that they try to spread the message on behalf of the perpetrators to be of an open mind and listen to what the perps have to say. How do you think that movie would fare? I mean, depend. This is like an X-Men movie somehow? Something weird like that?
Starting point is 01:18:21 It's like this is the plot of a weird family movie. Okay, what if I told you the perpetrators were changed from adult humans to extraterrestrial beings? Who traumatized kids and then? Who kidnapped children. Okay. Kidnap children. luring them out of their homes by with cute animals right take them into a dwelling perform horrific
Starting point is 01:18:47 well what's what is horrific mean sexy stuff uh mental and physical trauma all right that haunts them into adulthood then when these aliens are captured by the government and are under the they have to be are these aliens from space so like aliens from like they came here on our Oh, rid of you. This is the fucking plot of Disclosure Day. Oh, I don't really? I watched Disclosure Day, and I just could not. It is the most problemsome movie I've ever seen in my life.
Starting point is 01:19:22 Really? I'd heard, I'd heard just that it wasn't good, but I didn't hear it was this. This is a very weird. It was absolutely jaw-dropping that Spielberg has totally lost his marvels. Really? Wow. I didn't see it. It was, first off, boring as hell.
Starting point is 01:19:38 There's barely an alien in it until the very end. Even then, it's like you're just so angry at the plot. You're like, did nobody have the balls in Spielberg's camp to be like, Steve? This is an analogy for fucking child molesting. Right, right. Bro, don't you fucking see this? Why'd you write this? Wow.
Starting point is 01:19:57 It is insane because the aliens come to Earth. Spoilers. Yeah. They lure children out of their bedrooms in the guise of being cute animals. they get the kids to follow them into a building, which looks like to some kids like Hansel and Gretel's farmhouse, while in the building they perform whatever they want to, whatever they want to do to them, they're doing to them.
Starting point is 01:20:24 Send them back, have these repressed memories, these feelings of like, you know, and you know something happened to you, but you can't tell, you know, and it fucks you up entirely. Everybody in the movie. So they weren't some of, you know, supposed to have the memories. Like they were supposed to, like, it's a race your ground bad. Because, okay. Because then at a certain point, the aliens then like, hey, you got to come to bat for me and fucking defend me and tell everybody that, like, why I'm here and why I was justified in doing what I did to you.
Starting point is 01:20:51 Is it the same alien? There's like one alien? No, well, it's alien race. The aliens who did this. But I mean, the movie, you see all these aliens? They're the same aliens that get trotted out at the end. Like, so in the movie that they're, like, one guy, one of the guys who is victimized by the aliens has this footage. of the U.S. government, basically doing the same thing the aliens did to kids, defenseless kids. Yeah. Like, you know, like, no, there's footage that, like,
Starting point is 01:21:18 is supposed to make you feel sympathy for these monsters that came to Earth and took our children from their sleeping beds and did whatever they wanted to them just because they could do it. And now you're supposed to feel sympathy for them because you see footage like in the 50s. of our government, like, basically, you know, examining them. Alien autopsies and doing shit like that.
Starting point is 01:21:45 And people are crying like, oh, no, this is so horrible. Yeah, fuck that. I couldn't get over it. I was just praying that when you guys saw it because I was like, it, no. It is insane that nobody was like, Steve. Fuck these aliens. Yeah, like, yeah, this is fucking Independence Day.
Starting point is 01:22:01 We got to go, we got to go fucking. Will Smith dragging an alien around by his dreads. Yeah, yeah. We need to go mid-eastern. evil on these motherfuckers. Yeah. Like, you can't feel sympathy. Aliens for space, you mean, Walt.
Starting point is 01:22:13 Right? Not aliens that come here and hurt American citizens. Them, we don't do it, right? And they manipulate the adults. Because as soon as they need to, like, you know, come out of hiding and like, okay, now it's time for us to, like,
Starting point is 01:22:26 tell you why we did this. They use these humans as mouthpieces to get the word. Just a feather. Spoiler. That is balzy. Like, the final, scene in the movie is one of these
Starting point is 01:22:39 kids who has grown up to an adulthood goes in front of a camera on a on TV that's being carried all over the world and says the message is we have to listen and then it ends like we're so close minded but like we have to listen
Starting point is 01:22:55 to these aliens because they're here for a reason and it's it's okay if they fucking take your kid against their will and do whatever to fuck. Yeah for whatever to fuck they want it. That is a bulls of it. choice. I almost want to see it now. You have to watch it. It's jaw dropping that Spielberg made this and
Starting point is 01:23:13 didn't see it or didn't care or knew full well that he, what he was making the analogy to. And do you think the bootlickers around them are just like, they know, but they're like, oh, Stephen Spielberg, what am I supposed to say? Yes. I wonder if that's the case. Like, he's just too big to, like, be like, dude, what are you doing? This is garbage. This is insane. You're going to, you're going to, I don't understand why that wasn't the takeaway. What I saw was people hated the movie because it was boring or it was a they also said it was against god i didn't really see any of that in this right um but i think rupert's so he told me it was just like it was boring it was really boring it was a movie that felt like it was made like with a tv movie budget like they didn't
Starting point is 01:23:52 have enough money to make the movie they want to make so they make this kind of tv movie kind of like you know they instead of like showing aliens they show you a lot of human beings running from authorities and just it was cheap shit that tv movie movies have to do because I don't have the budget of a theatrical movie. But it's a Spielberg movie. It should be like the budget's like whatever. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:24:14 His last few movies have kind of been swings and misses. Wasn't it a Broadway thing too? Like he did West Side Story. I mean, who gives a shit? I mean, I might be alone in this. What was the one with the, where they had the Delorean and... Delorian?
Starting point is 01:24:29 Ready Player One. Ready Player One. Yeah. And it was like, I hated that book. So when I watched that movie, I was like, He, isn't it crazy? Like, Spielberg's not the guy to get me in theaters anymore. And that guy made, like, so much of my life.
Starting point is 01:24:45 Crystal skull. To be fair, I think that. In retrospect, I take Crystal Skull over what came after. Don't you think every artist, though, kind of like they have those monster epics or whatever, they're, like, these great artists, I mean. But as they grow older, I mean, it's harder to, like, just like. They lose a fastball. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:25:06 He's got to have another one in him. You think he has another fastball in him? I think he's a lot of face. Spielberg. I do not think he does. After seeing this, I'm like, it was so pedestrian. It was so lacking of a big budget movie. You're just like, this is nuts.
Starting point is 01:25:20 I thought I was being tricked again. Like this has got to be like one of those mock busters. What do they call them? Like a mockumentary or something? No, no. Like master of the universe. Oh, that asylum stuff. Yeah, I was like, this can't be the Spielberg one.
Starting point is 01:25:34 I'm in the Rome theater again. Jesus. It was shocking. The only reason I saw it through because I was just like, I could not believe what I was watching. I could not believe that nobody at the studio didn't see this as a problem-some.
Starting point is 01:25:49 Maybe they did, but it's like he probably has final cut. He probably has a, you can't put, you can't put constraints, or if you're smart, you're not going to put constraints on one of the greatest filmmakers that ever lived.
Starting point is 01:26:01 Who has the power to do that? Like, who would do that? I think even he has to answer. to somebody at the studio. Who? Probably making it through his studio. Yeah. So you think even a big wig
Starting point is 01:26:12 who knows who sees this and is like, this is going to flop hard? He has to just be like total line and be like, yes, Stephen. I think he's a good executive and gives his notes.
Starting point is 01:26:24 I don't think Spielsberg is on there any fucking requirement to listen to anything. Right, but at least you're on the record of being like, hey man, I told you, Steve. There's a guy. New Jersey who called you out.
Starting point is 01:26:38 You've guys got to go see it. It is stunning. How long is it? It's long. Yeah, that's what's keeping me out of the Odyssey. Everybody's like, you've got to see it in an IMAX. I'm like, I'm not going for three hours in a fucking movie there. But I just feel like you'll be like, you'll be transfixed by its message of how wrong it is and how little happens in the movie.
Starting point is 01:27:01 You're just like, it's a car wreck. Just watch where the world's again, right? Yeah. Yeah. Shit. I saw Supergirl and I heard you didn't like it. I did not like Supergirl. I did like it a lot.
Starting point is 01:27:13 What did you like about it? Okay. Now, of course, going in, we heard insane volume of complaints and people saying, you know, it's woke. I just took that out. It didn't. There was no woke aspect to that movie at all, I thought. I thought it was her that was woke, not the actual movie. No.
Starting point is 01:27:34 It is a lie. So that shows you right there that there's a segment of the population for whatever reason whose agenda it is is to try to tank a movie, I feel, like by saying it was woke. Did she have that. They did a good job. I don't think this movie needed to help tanking. Well, she made that comment about Christian fathers, right? Right. And of course, that was the ammo to use to blast that movie as being woke. a really weird statement from the star.
Starting point is 01:28:06 Now, what motivated her to say it, people are like, well, they even called us out on it saying that, like, we didn't give the context of why she made that comment. It was about trolls, trolling her about her appearance. As somebody who got trolled by their appearance, you know, on fucking social media, I would not, like, target a group, especially fathers. What do you got against fathers? fathers, yeah. Yeah, but, like, I wouldn't say, like, you know, when they were making fun of my appearance on social media, I wouldn't have gone after anybody's...
Starting point is 01:28:39 Any one second. Like, they're all doing it. You have them are probably bots from a fucking Chinese troll farm who are just trying to stir the pot anyway. But as somebody who talk, I guess I can say this, as somebody who talks for a living, I don't, I don't want her to say something and have it to be used against her to, like, destroy her, though.
Starting point is 01:28:59 And which is what they did, though. Yeah. Right? I mean, they tried to literally destroy this movie, and they did. Well, what I said when we talked about it last week, whenever it was like, this girl, poor girl grew up in a time where it was like that was what everybody said. Like, it's just, she has an easy target. It's a very easy target. I don't know.
Starting point is 01:29:17 I never even heard, I never even heard the quote. She said that, somebody said, what do you think about all the online negativity? And she's like, well, if you are, well, look who's saying it. She said, if you're pissing awe, it's Christian fathers of four who are saying, or do. doing it so I'm pissing off the right people. I don't know why she said it, but I certainly, as a father, though, as a father, though, I don't care. As a father, I don't care. Like, if your movie's good and you did a good job, I don't care.
Starting point is 01:29:43 Yeah, but what if she was like, if it was a Muslim father or four? I don't give a fuck. No, but there are people would care. Oh, yeah, yeah. That's not saying. So it's like you can't expect people. No, but I'm not even saying, but like you can't not expect people to care if you're attacking a religion. I just can.
Starting point is 01:29:57 I don't, I don't. We're a very dumb statement to make. Dumb statement to make. Dumb statement. But I hate that. it was weaponized against her though. Sure. It was absolutely weaponized against her and caused this movie to have,
Starting point is 01:30:09 it had some effect on this movie, I think. Well, maybe it'll teach the next person to shut the fuck up. But do you want people to shut up though? About that kind of shit? Yeah, I do. I mean, I said, it's dangerous though that. I mean, I've shut up for fucking 15 years. Like, why do we got to shut up?
Starting point is 01:30:25 It's a bad, it's bad though that. I just think to me, both sides are doing it now. I'll get through a different lens. Both sides are doing this now and it's fucking... Yeah, it's terrible. It sucks. Yeah, it's brutal.
Starting point is 01:30:36 But to me, it's just like when you are the face of a $100 million movie, I feel you have a responsibility to the people who hired you to shut the fuck up and just try and sell the movie. I agree with you. Just from business, business practice. I don't, I get it. Yeah, like I heard Bert Reynolds was supposed to be, he got a boogie nights. Okay.
Starting point is 01:30:58 And part of the reason he didn't win best supporting actors, because. before the movie got released and became a hit, he was bashing the movie. It's just not responsible to the people who invested all that money into you to make this movie. But that's not what I asked me what I liked about it. I thought it was far superior. I think she's fucking really good looking. Those people that were calling her ugly, I was like, I don't get this at all. I think it's the choppers, right?
Starting point is 01:31:23 Yeah, but so what? I'm just saying. Yeah, but the, what I enjoyed about it was I felt it was a far superior movie to Superman, which preceded this. I thought this story was clear, a very non-convaluted, which Superman was completely convoluted, with way too many characters. Supergirl, it's a simple story.
Starting point is 01:31:45 Try telling me what you liked about it without comparing it to Superman. I like that. It was a very clear-cut storyline. It was like somebody did something to her dog, also did something to somebody. She grows. A sword maker got killed by a sword.
Starting point is 01:32:01 well be it but a family was murdered in front of a child sex slavers which I was like that is a dangerous I didn't get I'm like why the fuck are they introducing like rape and forced breeding into a supergirl movie I'm like what well I thought it was an interest that like that's pretty villainous I mean it's a great it's a great way to hate your villain right but then all right but then to not but then to soft soap it like like you know because then it's just like it's just a bunch of women in a cage like on a on a oh well you want to see no I don't want to see it at all yeah I'm like so if you're not going to do it why you're doing it and then like they cut to the fucking pirates on the deck fighting each other when there's a cave when there's a cage full of sex ladies down there like just bringing them to back to their world where they were going to wait for them to grow into half the pirates aren't even human but everybody in that
Starting point is 01:32:51 you think they're waiting for them to grow into adults well then they can have babies yeah I don't think so I think they need to I think they need to grow into puberty to have children though I don't know why we're introducing rape and sexual slavery into a supergirl movie. I just don't. I think that really hammers home how awful the villain was, though. There's a billion ways to hammer that home. That doesn't involve fucking the sexual enslavement of only human women, by the way.
Starting point is 01:33:19 There wasn't a single like fucking... Well, they're all alien women. They're humanoid looking, though. I mean, the pirates had guys with fucking eyes out to here and 14 arms and shit. But the main villain was humanoid. Yeah, but my point is Like how lazy is it to even have Every fucking every species of human
Starting point is 01:33:36 In that cage Every fucking And not have a blog Not have a single alien in there But like we got a Chinese girl We got this is like What are we doing here? Because you're well you have to
Starting point is 01:33:47 Kidnap something that's going to A species that can have your child though You might not be able to screw Some of those aliens They might as well have wanted to fuck crypto Because they weren't the same species That's what, like, I was like, this is so stupid. And then let me just ask you something.
Starting point is 01:34:02 Okay. If a Kryptonia is coming after you and you have a spaceship, why are you parking that spaceship on a planet that half the time has a green sun and half the time has a yellow sun? Why not just take your spaceship and put it in orbit around the fucking green sun and then all these problems go away? Okay. I'm not following you. She was on that planet. She was on that planet before she got pulled into the drama, right, with crypto.
Starting point is 01:34:27 Right. No, no, no, no, no. That's not what I'm saying. At the end, the green sun. Oh, the villain spaceship. The villain spaceship. Green Sun. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:34:34 Did they know the mythology of Supergirl? Great question. They did know it. They were like, Kryptonians can't take kryptonite. And you're like, well, how do you know that? There's only two Kryptonians left alive. So that didn't make any fucking sense.
Starting point is 01:34:46 Work it's around. And then, and then if I have a kryptonian coming after me, the last thing I'm doing is parking on a planet that gives them a 50% shot at being superpower. When I have a spaceship that just parks, around the green sun and I never have to worry about this ever. I could rape all these fucking slaves that I got for some reason to impunity. It was so
Starting point is 01:35:06 fucking dumb. And when a 13 year old girl beats the shit out of a space pirate, like when she escaped from that cage and she built beat the shit out of that fucking towering space pirate. I'm being down by that though. I can accept that now. It's happened so often in the movies. I'm like, yeah, kids can do this.
Starting point is 01:35:24 Now I'm like, yeah, kids can do this. And then by the way, she killed. that guy. She killed that guy. She fucking put him on the poison spike and killed him. So Supergirl's big fucking thing at the end about, don't kill, it's like, well, that means nothing, because this girl already killed. She didn't know that, though.
Starting point is 01:35:40 And then how the fuck does a 13-year-old girl? First of all, what is what space vents? Where it's like, on this spaceship, these are these giant vents that connect every single room that this girl knows the exact way to go. And apparently, she can sneak around the ship and get up 10 feet. I will give, I will give
Starting point is 01:35:56 him. $10,000. cash right now. If he could get up into this ceiling without making a sound behind me. It's just, I'll give him a hundred grand. She's also, but that, that child was also 200 pounds lighter than him? Sure, but it's fine. How the fuck is she getting up in the ceiling? Like, she can, she can climb. She's a child.
Starting point is 01:36:14 Silently, while there's a pirate five feet away from her. I think, I do think you're nitpicking. I'm not nitpicking. I'm watching a movie and I'm like, this is fucking dumb. They just get him level of nitpicking. It is. It is. It is. It's so distracting and stupid. And then fucking Lobo, it's like, Lobo, how did he get in the cage?
Starting point is 01:36:32 I don't know. Why is he in the cage? I don't know. How's he getting in the cage? I can tell you that, how a 13-year-old girl saves fucking Lobo. I'm like, what is happening? Like, what is going on right now?
Starting point is 01:36:42 Why put Lobo in this movie if you're going to have him fucking get, get saved by a 13-year-old girl? I like that Kara gave the backstory of why she was the way she was, though, in terms of like she's trying to dull her pain because she didn't get to, because she didn't get what Clark got. Totally fine with that. I like that. I like that a lot. And I liked David Crumholz, who played her dad. I thought he did a great job. I liked him. So I thought she did have growth at the end. I thought like she came to accept and realize, you know, that she embraced Clark and was like, I'm going to be here for a while.
Starting point is 01:37:15 You know, she wanted to. She wanted a family now. I mean, look, I'm not saying that everything, that nothing worked in the movie. But I'm like also like, you know what I would love in a supergirl movie? Like, fucking supergirl. Like, just can I have the uniform? Can I have. have and then it's like what are the rules so she has no powers under the under the red sun that's why she goes and drinks and shit like that but she still stands up to that guy on the horse who beats the ever-loving piss out of her throws her all around and she's just fine she wakes up there's a horn in her leg and she's like oh shit and you're just like wait i don't choose under a red sun like what is this it just none of it made any like none of it made sense to me i didn't say that i didn't like dway lopo looked no that was my other
Starting point is 01:37:58 thing. I was like, it's just Jason Mamone, what white face on it? Didn't he look also like weirdly on his frontal area? Like, not just, but like it. It looked like they put a suit on him. Like he wasn't his body. It didn't look like he was ripped at all. Just looked like he was puffy. And I didn't make any sense. Lobos, and I love Lowe, you know how much I love Loba. Why does this motorcycle have rubber tires? I'm like, what is going on in this fucking planet? There were things I like, I liked how they grabbed those, those handles and got pulled up to the spaceship. Like when they went, I thought that was cool. That's what I'm saying. Like, I didn't go in looking at I hate the movie. I went in looking to like the movie and I thought she did a good job.
Starting point is 01:38:32 Like the first half hour of the movie, I was like, okay. I was like, I like where she's going with it and stuff. But then as those little errors keep piling up and I was like, I just didn't, I just didn't care. And then as you're just like, in that ship, when she's fighting and hitting the teleporter thing and she would end up under that fat blob and then like crawl out, I'm like, well, why don't she just fucking hit the button again and transport? I'm like, I don't understand any of these launchers. You said you lose the comedic effect, though. But then that scene shouldn't be in the movie.
Starting point is 01:39:02 Like, if you have to break logic. I've never seen you pick apart a movie like this. Sure you have. No. I've never seen you pick, like, because we could, you could do that to any movie, especially a superhero movie. Sure, but like at least superhero movies.
Starting point is 01:39:13 See that? See that? What he's doing? Yeah, what's you're doing? That's what you're doing. That's sound he's making. That's all I hear coming out of your mouth. Well, what I'm not sitting here saying is like, is like, it's woke. I'm not sitting here saying she's ugly. I'm not just saying... It wasn't woke, right?
Starting point is 01:39:29 I don't think it was woke. Didn't they bang the drum that it was completely woke movie? It didn't come off that way to me. A little bit with those three female pirates, whether, you know what I mean, where they turned out to be... It was like three, Garden of the Galaxy reject, those women pirates, I was a little bit like, I mean, what are we doing?
Starting point is 01:39:44 Like, like, every... And then they turned out to be not so bad guys after all. That was the only part that I was, like, rolling my eyes at that. But then, like, a sword maker getting killed by a sword. I'm just like, well, what about all the fucking people that are killed by his swords? Like, I don't give a shit. Oh, so you think anybody that makes a weapon is, is, I'm not going to cry when the Winchester family gets shot.
Starting point is 01:40:08 I'm going to be like, well, you guys made the fucking guns. And then the lesson the girl learns in the end is like, I guess I'll make swords too. And I'm like, all right, so you're going to go make weapons for killing. So other families are going to get killed by your sword. I'm just like, get the fuck out of here. Like, what are you trying to, what is it? Live by the sword. So you think.
Starting point is 01:40:25 So you think if a guy who makes, like in this day and age of a guy, makes guns, a gun factor, anybody who works there if they get shot, they had a, not that they had to come, but you don't feel any sympathy for them. No, but I would, I would feel tremendous sympathy for them, but I wouldn't be just like, well, I'm totally on board with their revenge quest to get the people that killed their parents with a gun. And then, like, I wouldn't be, you wouldn't be, you wouldn't back their revenge to her? No, I would back Batman's revenge who's like, gun killed my parents. I'm never using a gun and I'm going to stop other people from going what I went through. not I'm going to take my dad's best gun and go kill the people and then I'm going to make guns for other people to go kill people and I'm a sympathetic character. But you need, but you're saying though that like those guns and those swords can't be used for a righteous use. I'm saying you can do all of these things, but you can't do it in a supergirl movie and make this fucking little girl the big victim.
Starting point is 01:41:15 And then in the end be like, yeah, I'm just going to go ahead and keep making swords. And then what the fuck was that end fight where she's dangling down like a monkey on the fucking swing? and then Krem just happens to fall right next to her. And then a 13-year-old girl. She's an alien, though. Yeah, okay. And then starts fighting him hanging off the side of the ship. She's not a human, though.
Starting point is 01:41:34 She's not human, though. You don't know if she has. Then don't make her human-looking. She might have, like, more skills as an alien. She's like Peter Quill, where she's got DNA. Right, but Peter Quill made that very clear. Okay. And that was a plot of the movie, not just using something to whitewash,
Starting point is 01:41:50 why a 13-year-old girl is beating the fuck out of a space buyer. He didn't know at first, did he? Yeah, but Star Lord also got the shit kicked out of him. Yeah. And Star Lord was a comedic figure for a lot of it. A lot of people made fun of Star Lord. Did anybody make fun of this girl? Did she ever have a moment where she wasn't totally tough and in charge
Starting point is 01:42:07 and, like, beating up space pirates as a 13-year-old girl? No. It sounds woke to me. It sure wasn't Dakota fanning. But it doesn't come off woke. It just comes off a shitty writing. I didn't see any woke aspects of it. And I went into that theater being ready for a train wreck.
Starting point is 01:42:22 and I was pleasantly surprised about how And a little bit like, wow, so there are, there is definitely agendas out there to turn people against something because of what she said. I think it's a excuse, though. But that didn't affect me. Like, I wanted to the movie wanting to like the movie. And I just, it just didn't even go in one.
Starting point is 01:42:48 I just was like, I know I'm going to hate this, but I want to see because how bad it's the movie. reviews were. Well, how did you feel about the very first thing you've seen in the movie is crypto-pissing on Superman's film? It didn't bother me. I feel it was in, it was not. I thought it was such edge lord bullshit.
Starting point is 01:43:01 I was like, oh, fucking get fuck off. But I don't, I didn't think it was disrespectful. I know that's weird to say, but I didn't think it was, it came across as like, some sort of weird message. No, I just thought it was, it's just something to elicit laughter immediately. But to me, it's like, it's, again, this is my problem with these people. It's like, you, you fucking. are in charge of Superman.
Starting point is 01:43:24 Do not have crypto piss on a fucking picture of Superman. It's Superman. Like, he should be your fucking most revered creature. Like, he's it. Like, you can play a dog peeing on something for comedic. But again, like, he pees on a rug, and then he step on the rug. You're like, ah, you peed on a rug. Again, like, my problem isn't that they did it.
Starting point is 01:43:41 My problem is, like, they did it thinking it was edgy and cool. And I'm like, it's fucking not. It's lame and corny. I thought that I played Superman was so good in this. He was way more likable and better in this than he was in his own movie. I liked him in the other movie. I thought he was great in this. His acting and his portrayal of Superman in this small doses in this movie were light years more likable than he was in his own movie.
Starting point is 01:44:07 Yeah, I mean, I guess I guess I guess. Again, I'm not here to argue. I'm not here to make you not enjoy Supergirl. You can't. Right. By all means, I'm just saying like these are the things I don't like about it. And that green sun thing was unforgivable to me. Unforgivable.
Starting point is 01:44:20 I thought her, I know. that you say like, you know, she was trying to like, like, you don't kill or we don't kill. And then you said she had already killed. But I think that was admirable trait for Kara, though. And then she shows, you know, she distanced herself from Superman by saying, you know what? Superman won't kill, but I will. Which is like, again, I don't think that's the right choice, but it didn't bother me. It didn't bother me, but it's, it is, it does kind of different, gives you a little bit different spin on the super beings.
Starting point is 01:44:50 Sure. And that, that didn't bother me. Like I was like, all right. I mean, I think it was stupid because we just saw her kill someone. But she would have been compelled, like he was a crippled guy, right? He couldn't get up. So she would have been killing a defenseless person. It would probably fuck you up, though. Even if it was the guy who killed your family.
Starting point is 01:45:05 At 13, I wouldn't want my daughter killing somebody who deserved it. Which is fine. I don't really. No, I would rather I do it than she have to like have that. I'm sorry. I would love to see Alicia with two fucking ARs in her hands going on all punish yourself. Revenge. But then again, like that last shot of low.
Starting point is 01:45:21 when he watches Carrick kill the guy and he's just like, he gets like a boner. And then you never, just never see Lobo again? I did, I'm like, what is going on? Did I miss something?
Starting point is 01:45:30 Like, at one point, Lobo was on the planet, kicking ass. Then the next time we see him, he's in a cage and we didn't see how he got in a cage, right? And my thought was just like, my first thought was,
Starting point is 01:45:39 all right, this is part of Lobo's plan. I thought it was part of his plan to get close to the guy. But then it wasn't. He was just in a cage. There could be a cut scene that they failed to, you know, yeah.
Starting point is 01:45:50 They had to, They didn't address that. And I was wondering if I missed it. No, you didn't miss it. Because I saw a lot of people, like, coming back at me when I said, I liked it online. That was like, it was stupid that, you know, they just didn't take crypto to a yellow sun. I was like, but they explained why they did they?
Starting point is 01:46:02 Because I thought that was dumb too. They explained. The healer said, if we, if you take the dog off world, the poison will kill him immediately. When they go into orbit, it'll go faster into his bloodstream. You can't move the dog off world. I mean, okay. You can't bring him to a note. I mean, at least they addressed it.
Starting point is 01:46:18 That's fine. I didn't catch that. I'm like, how could you? you missed that. It was so, not you, but I was like to learn people. But you know,
Starting point is 01:46:23 but I guess, I guess a lot of people miss them. Yeah. Because it also doesn't really make too much like that just reeks of them putting in a line
Starting point is 01:46:30 to explain it. But whatever, fine, they explain it. I imagine like if you go into orbit, your blood probably goes, but maybe changes, your blood pressure,
Starting point is 01:46:38 your, you know, it might, be the metabolism. It's gotten a sunlamp yeah, and put it on the talk. Like in the Simranet
Starting point is 01:46:45 movie when he has metamorphal has the same quant, I mean, if they could use red sun lamps to weaken Superman, why can they use yellow sun ramps to... They had metamorpho create the elements of a yellow sun to power Superman in the last movie, didn't they?
Starting point is 01:47:00 I don't remember. I hated it. He was trapped in the cell and he was emulating kryptonite. He's like, you know, if you could save my son, how can you save my son? He goes, I need a yellow son. He's like, okay, it's these elements and he grants the light and he gets his power. Okay, but a metamorphor wasn't there, though. What I'm saying is, if you can emulate the yellow sun... You can get a yellow sunlamp. Yeah. She should travel with one then.
Starting point is 01:47:22 Yeah? Why doesn't she? She's got a ship. And Kremlin's like, have a sunlamp in the back of the ship. Now, this was based on a story I've never read, right? It's based on Woman of Tomorrow, which is a good story. It is not the- Do you follow it closely or no?
Starting point is 01:47:36 I don't really remember. A lot of it is about her and the girl traveling after Krem, but it's not the classic that they tried, like, that they want you to believe it is going to the movie. It's like, it's a good Supergirl story. It's not the Dark Night Returns the Supergirl. you're like and by the way she wears the fucking supergirl off at the entire time in that yeah and you're just like what what what is what is what is why are you guys making these choices
Starting point is 01:47:57 I don't get it and then the needle drops with the the song things I yeah that's tiresome oh god that fucking jimmy world cover that came in the end where the where the where it's like the slow song during the battle you're like it's as bad as everybody saying it's it's bad as everybody saying it's oh I didn't think so no that scene that scene where she's like yeah you know it's just it's such a poor show Do you think this This kills the DCU? I don't think this kills it because he's still got lanterns and Clayface and Man of Tomorrow coming out.
Starting point is 01:48:31 But I think a lot of people are like, this is not the way we wanted this to go. You think it'll survive? I don't think it's going. I don't think Clayface is going to do well. I saw the trailer. Well, it's a horror movie. Can you just like, and I like James. I'm a James Gun family.
Starting point is 01:48:46 This reminds me of Morbius and Craven, though. Like you're partaking these characters that nobody knows and trying to make feature-length films out of them. Doesn't make any, it doesn't make any, like it doesn't move. Whose needle is this moving? Unless it's a phenomenal movie. That's always the difference maker, like if it's a great movie. Even lanterns, you're like, well, what is this about? Because you guys certainly don't have a fucking lot of green lanterns on the trailer for this shit.
Starting point is 01:49:11 I don't know what's going on right now. But again, like I like Gunn. I like the vast amount of his output. So, I mean, he's got me until the end, I guess. But it's teetering, huh? It can go either way, I think, in terms of, like, this is going, this ship is going to crash in her. And then you probably won't see DCU for anything in terms of. Well, they're going to be owned by Paramount soon.
Starting point is 01:49:34 So then the new people are going to be like, no, we'll. I don't think, can you, can you make a blockbuster anymore? Like, with superheroes? That's the question it feels like. Yeah, I think you could. You can? You think, spy. Spider-Man's going to be a blockbuster?
Starting point is 01:49:48 Oh, I think Spider-Man will be. Yeah. I hope so. I hope so. I think comic book fans need a blockbuster to make people remember. Yeah. Like, let's not, I hope they don't stop making these because of, because of a lot of misdustance. And I like the Spider-Man movie so far.
Starting point is 01:50:03 Like, I think they've done a good job with them. So it's like, I'm, I'll be done. But that was that the last blockbuster superhero movie, though? Yeah, probably. That's that Spider-Man one with all the Spider-Man running around? Probably, yeah. That's a long time ago. Well, you know about Dooms Day, then, Dunesay is like,
Starting point is 01:50:17 he's back. Toby McGuire's back. They're like, get him back, get him the fuck back. Yeah, Deadpool's in it, Wolverines in it,
Starting point is 01:50:26 like all these leaks are coming out where you're like, oh, yeah. So maybe that, I mean, fan service is, is fine with me.
Starting point is 01:50:34 Dude, I've always said, I'm a fan. Service me. Yeah. Yeah. I don't know. So I hope I didn't step,
Starting point is 01:50:41 I hope I didn't step on Tom's toes by bringing an overkill today. Well, if you get some nasty emails from him. Yeah. I'm fucking Jerry You know that just
Starting point is 01:50:54 What are you gonna get a vasectomy next? Hopefully he'll up his game And he'll come next time he comes He'll come with like fucking Something heavy Come yeah come hard Tom always comes hard Oh
Starting point is 01:51:05 Talk to his wife Even if a sec to me I don't know Even less after the second one Dude if a Kryptonian's coming after you Why are you not just an orbit around the I couldn't get over it. That took me out of the movie for the rest of the movie.
Starting point is 01:51:22 I couldn't pay attention to the movie. I think I was just so tickled that it wasn't woke for me. Yeah. I was just like, it's not woke. I was like, and I'm kind of like digging the whole like revenge thing in the, it was so simple a story.
Starting point is 01:51:36 That to me, I also were like, it felt like pocket universes and, uh, metamorphos and justice and justice gangs and justice gangs. It was just like, and bad costumes on. those hawk girl and shit just really took me out of Superman.
Starting point is 01:51:52 But the first two major movies to come out of this have revolved around crypto being captured and hurt and needing rescue. And I'm like that. It's an odd choice. Two movies in a row are about the CGI dog. I think we should just give crypto his own feature. I'd be down for that. I'd watch that shit.
Starting point is 01:52:09 I like crypto. Yeah, I love it. Animated or live action? Oh, live action. Okay. Yeah, live action. It'd have to be a live action. Does he join forces with that?
Starting point is 01:52:18 any of the other dogs like Batman's dog? That's fan service, bro. I'll all here for it. That man's dog's not a French ball dog. Oh! Oh, stuffy. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:52:37 Where do you? Sign me up. Was the green sun? I mean, it was never a major thing in the comics, right? Like the different sons. Wasn't that just during like that goofy era of like...
Starting point is 01:52:50 Well, you had the, all the different color kryptonites. Sure, right. And that had to be explained by they were under those color suns. Okay, so green, but green kryptonite wasn't on their green sun. It was under red sun.
Starting point is 01:53:02 Was it? Well, sure. Crypton was around the red sun. Well, I mean, we're talking DCU? Are we talking comic book? Are we talking 50s? Yeah, it's just two, right. But I would have been, we know,
Starting point is 01:53:13 it would have been a fun? What if, what if they had done, like, the Supergirl from the 50s, like that character set in this kind of world. Oh, super naive and like, yeah. Which I guess is Superman, though, right? Yeah. I mean, I agree with you.
Starting point is 01:53:29 I like the angle that they took that she did not feel the same way about Earth as Superman did. Yeah. I thought that was, that was an all right. He had known love his entire life. Yeah. And she had love ripped away from her as a teenager. Yeah. So he never knew loss.
Starting point is 01:53:41 Yeah, that was pretty good. I didn't mind. That's what I was saying, like the first half hour, I was kind of on board. It was just those mistakes. I think it was those three female pirates. That's what's that you're in a time? That's when I started going to go see it with. I might have seen it by myself.
Starting point is 01:53:54 You should have went. I could have held your hand. I want some popcorn from my bucket. I get you through the tough moments. I wish I had gone. I wish I had gone with you. I wish I had gone with you. I took Teddy to say just being Teddy.
Starting point is 01:54:13 There's only one other person in the theater. Could you get a sat between me. I went on 2 o'clock on a Tuesday afternoon by myself with the dog. And, yeah, I walked out of there pleased with it because I had gone in with such preconceived notions that it was a shit show. Right. Yeah. But. Which according to Q it was.
Starting point is 01:54:34 Yeah, but. Yeah. But I wouldn't say it was a woke shit show. Yeah, I wouldn't say that. I probably all stem from the one comment. People are like, I don't know. I don't even, yeah, bad comment. Really stupid.
Starting point is 01:54:46 Yeah. But I don't know what I believe anymore. You know, I want to give the Internet too much power that they were able to, you know, torpedo a movie just by banging the drum loud enough, you know. I think it's an excuse. It's an excuse that they go to way too often. Like, you think it was it? You think the comment didn't have a fact of the box office? No.
Starting point is 01:55:09 I think, I think they give it more credit than it's due. If someone says something's a bad movie, if the Internet says it's a bad movie, but your friends say it's a good movie, you're going to. go want to see it. I mean, we've, we've really gone past the days of having a, like a Gene Shallott or a, you know, a Leonard Malton who, you know, gives movies now, like they trust, they trust the internet. I, you know, oh, it's got rotten tomatoes, this, that, and the other thing. Well, the internet, you have to take, you say, if they trust the internet, the internet, the internet was just screaming at them like, woke, woke, woke, woke, woke, woke, woke, but I'm saying is you can have, you have the, you have movies where the internet says
Starting point is 01:55:44 it's bad, but it's actually, it does very well, it's a good movie, but then you have, movies that are really bad and then they try to blame it on the internet. Of course. Like Ghostbusters 2016. That was a bad movie. I mean, I kind of liked it. I kind of liked that there was things in the movie that I liked, but it was a bad movie. What did you like in the movie?
Starting point is 01:56:02 I like the progression of everything. Like in Ghostbusters, everything just works. But in 2016, like there was a progression of technology, you know, improving and improving. That made sense. We're about five minutes past when we should have said, tell him Steve, Dave. I'm telling you right now. Because I'm listening to this fucking guy. Talk about the progression in 2016's Ghostbusters.
Starting point is 01:56:23 No, like the reboot of Charlie's Angels. Oh, because the internet can't handle a strong female character. We've handled tons of strong female characters before. What about the Hunger Games? Yeah. What about the Hunger Games? Blockbuster and I adore those movies. What's your name?
Starting point is 01:56:38 Elizabeth Banks? It's like, no, no one can handle a strong female character. Yeah, I remember her crying about it. And, like, the whole opening of the movie is nothing about... Well, that's a defense mechanism, though. the studio, though. Yes, yes, that's what I understand that. They're being cornered by the internet.
Starting point is 01:56:52 They're being cornered by the internet, and they're being cornered by having to face a flop. It's an easy excuse. Facing a flop. What do you want to say? What do you want to say? Who do you want to throw under the bus? Exactly. They throw the internet on the bus because they can throw themselves on the bus.
Starting point is 01:57:09 Yeah, because they deserve it sometimes. Almost all the time. Yeah, I don't know. Almost all the time. The internet deserves to be under that. Really. you see the way they talk about you? Yeah, I see the way they talk about me.
Starting point is 01:57:19 And you're still willing to defend them. I'm not defending them. I'm saying they're an easy scapegoat. You're never going to please everyone 100% of the time. You hear this fucking, you hear this TSD cares, this man still watch your love and you still sit there every day typing out horrible, heinous things. And yet he still is trying to get your approval. It's a vicious cycle. I'm the supergirl of the Reddit.
Starting point is 01:57:46 Never know love. T S, oh, I was going to say TSD. Zoom. Zoon.
