Starting point is 00:00:06 He is actually going to eject a fan. Because bad things happen in Philadelphia, bad things. Joy it is to come to Philadelphia and stand here at Dodge Ice Ball. That was town board. Head of Sennessee. Yeah, I'm here. This is Kenzo, Kenny Thompson. I'm here in Tom's house.
Starting point is 00:00:42 I fucking beat his ace. He's reading some gay books about stars. But he was telling me, yo, yo, have you heard of this, these constellations named Casey Pia's? Have you heard this one? I suppose I haven't, Kenzo, Kenny. Yeah, it looks, they say it looks like a giant, like, W's. But, dude, Tom was telling me, as I was beating him up, he likes to say facts, he likes to say facts to distract me.
Starting point is 00:01:08 And sometimes it works. And it worked a little bit because this fact, this fact involved titties is, and apparently Cassio Pia, yo, the W is actually titty. Is that right? Kenzo Kennedy. Yes, but this is a problem. Now, every time I look at the sky, I'm going to get fucking torqued up.
Starting point is 00:01:28 I ain't trying to get fucking torqued up looking at the sky. I got shit to see up there. I'm sorry for your loss, Kenzo Kenny. Well, fucking, well, oh, shit. He's got that halogen tool now. Get the fuck out of here, Kenny. Oh, shit, I was trying to do enough. I was trying to know.
Starting point is 00:01:51 I didn't call you. get enough man shut the fuck up we're a very professional podcast is the fuck all right i got that fucker out here uh-huh my my my screen is covered in dip spit hey it feels like a targeted attack frankly all right now now that's when you were growing up did people dip no no i didn't think so i think that's like a central pennsylvania redneck thing no although friend of the show patrick did come over the house and he was zitting it up i mean that's different. Yeah, I mean, but he's also more in that milieu than like a Philly dirtbag. What do you mean? Like, he's, he's more like a central PA guy. Oh, that's true. Yeah. He's more rural
Starting point is 00:02:35 coded. Like, I'm, I think out of our friend, our friend group, like the CFP boy is I'm the most city coded. Oh, yeah. I think so. Guy who doesn't, I don't live in the city. guy who doesn't live in the city and probably eventually wants to move a little further out talking to me guy who does live in the city yes you do live in the city but you are more rural coded oh I'm a redneck
Starting point is 00:03:00 yeah yeah and then Corinne and Solstreet she's like you're not really a redneck like you're just like putting on airs and I'm just like I will buy a titty dip right fucking now we go right back to 2013 I will just completely regress when I'm at the ballpark and I just start like yeah the
Starting point is 00:03:16 the accent this starts coming out even more Yeah, I can confirm. But also when you, uh, oh, fuck, where's I go with this? The city rural. Yeah, I don't know. Just, uh, you know, you get the, you get the, you get the dip spit and you just have a good time. And then you get to play your favorite game with all your friends.
Starting point is 00:03:34 Is this cocker's this dip spit? Oh, I love that game. Well, is this, is this? I'm hoping that it's Coke because. It's not. It's for Net Bronca. I'm holding up a glass. Oh, dude.
Starting point is 00:03:45 That's so good. Yeah, you and Jay should talk. Is he like Phrenette too? He loves it. I love that ship. I love that ship. Fan of the show, Jay, almost said Elizabeth. That's not his middle name.
Starting point is 00:03:59 Are we talking about Jay who's been on the show? Yes. Okay. So I have a joke that's only funny to me that everyone's middle name is Elizabeth. Oh. Because most women you meet, it's either Marie or Elizabeth, at least for white women. Is it? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:04:13 As a middle name? Yeah. Not for my mom. Okay. Okay, so Megan. Definitely not for my wife, but they do middle of names. She has like six middle names. Right.
Starting point is 00:04:24 Yeah, me too. See, Megan. I have a middle name and confirmation name. Right. My high school girlfriend's middle name was Elizabeth, I think. Elizabeth is a nice name, though. I do like that. Elizabeth is a good, like, if we're going to go like, like, good, like, no one's
Starting point is 00:04:42 going to name a girl Bertha anymore or like. Bessie. Bessie. Yeah. Well, Bessie's just, isn't that nickname for her? I think is Elizabeth. I think so. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:04:52 Elizabeth is nice. I like Sophia. Sophia's a pretty name, yeah. If we ever had kids, I would have named the girl, Sophia. Then I even got permission for my wife. I was like, in the event that we suddenly decided to adopt, can I name the kid Arthur Morgan Payne? She's like, really from the game? From Redemption.
Starting point is 00:05:13 Yeah. I was like, yes. I want to name Arthur Morgan. He's my favorite. I cried when he died. Spoiler alert. He dies? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:23 Great. Thank you for ruining that for me. Yeah. He dies facing the sun. Yeah. Give you all the lie here, Dutch. I did. And then the, what's his,
Starting point is 00:05:33 R.A.P. DeAngelo, his song starts coming on in the slow. Will I stand on shaking amidst the midst of crash of worlds? And the sun comes down. And then everyone dies. And then the epilocks starts He plays John Marston And you start the revenge tale
Starting point is 00:05:51 Which sets up Red Dead Red Dead Redemption Oh yes yes yes yes yes And when you go and you kill the rat Micah Down here Micah God damn And there's like a guitar music playing
Starting point is 00:06:05 And you have I always wear Arthur's hat for that mission Oh god damn I got to play Red Dead again That game is so fucking good It's like It's like some guys It's like that they want to watch
Starting point is 00:06:16 The Sopranos over and over again I want to like relive red dead over and over again. Honestly, that's not even a bad choice. No, it's genuine. And like the acting is really good. I could get really deep into like how much I've read.
Starting point is 00:06:26 And like the guy I played Dutch was Benjamin something. He's like a really intelligent guy. And, you know, really he kind of method it a little bit. Like he got really into the character and he's like, it's part of me. And the guy who played Arthur is like an Irish. I mean, he's Irish guy.
Starting point is 00:06:41 So he's, you know, he's good crack wherever, wherever, wherever you say. He may roam. Yeah. Um, oh, anyway.
Starting point is 00:06:53 Yes, top. Oh. Oh, daddy. Excuse me. Oh, man. It's a late recording. It was, we were supposed to record yesterday. I was too tired.
Starting point is 00:07:05 I had, like, insomnia for a week. That is fucking horrible. And I'm sorry. Yeah. I had to do special lights out protocol. Like, I was like, dim lights only for two hours before bed. time last night. That seemed to help. That and the muscle relaxers.
Starting point is 00:07:20 Yeah. And then what's great too is with the way like stimulant medication works. Like if you skip a day. So I skipped a day yesterday on purpose so I could sleep. Right. And I took it today. But and I didn't even take a full dose. It took a half dose. And in my getting nine hours of sleep, I, and even just taking a half dose, it was like I might as well have just given myself mania. Oh, fun stuff. Dude, Jesus.
Starting point is 00:07:48 So I started getting anxious that I was having a stroke. Yep. Because my tongue was numb. But I think it was just cotton mouth. From all the weed? From a muscle relaxer. That's from the weed. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:04 I wish I had weed. I fucking smoke that fucking... Oh, I fucking love doing pot. Doing pot. Jesus Christ, I'm 18. I love that. I love that dumb, dumb podcast shit. Anyway, hello, welcome to another episode of 10,000 losses. Wow, we do the intro before 10 minutes.
Starting point is 00:08:23 I know, Philadelphia Sports Podcasts that exists. I'm your host, Tom Paine, my pronouns are he, him, and with me, so I co-host, yay. Liam. No pronouns, just Liam. All right. So, Liam, yeah, well, we can make that work. So on the way back from the shore, my wife and I, I put on the shutdown fullcast. So she actually, she actually was interested in that.
Starting point is 00:08:43 And she's like, what is this podcast? I was like, well, you'll find out when they do the intro. 40 minutes it's the episode I'm talking about Kirk Cousins' ass I love you Spencer and Holly That's it yeah that's it They're great
Starting point is 00:08:58 And yeah they I was like see other podcasts do this too She's just like fuck I hate this Yeah I hate this She's like also I didn't know you went so long With your intro so yeah it's like a thing Yeah it's sorry we like to have fun with each other Are bad
Starting point is 00:09:14 We won't do it again bad Yeah no guess Fuck you. No announcements. We got to do an August bonus. We have some ideas. Voicemail, calling 267, 3701, 7218. Gows your name and pronouns. You can also DM on that line.
Starting point is 00:09:29 You can send us a text message or you could, you know, follow us on blue sky. You could be cool. Go to patreon.com. So it's 10,000 losses. It's going to be cool. Yeah, you can pay $1 a month to become a patron. Please, come on. I bought a base, a new softball bat with the latest Patreon money.
Starting point is 00:09:46 So that was nice. It was like, yeah, well, you're welcome because I keep forgetting about it. Well, it's kind of, it's almost like when you get your tax refund. You know that you shouldn't get a tax refund that you should like. Yes, right, right. If you get anything, it's like $10. Right. And I was like, oh, well, this is easy.
Starting point is 00:10:01 Like, I don't have to account for this in the budget. Thanks, Liam. I appreciate your incompetence. For taking three months to pay me. Yeah. That's why Corinne handles the, well, there's your problem, pay you on because I can no longer be trusted. listen, the talent shouldn't have to really manage themselves. My favorite thing.
Starting point is 00:10:24 So, I mean, I've told the story probably like a million times. But so our former manager, RIP Big Dog, basically just ghosted us once. Yeah. And that was it. And that was it for our friendship. That's what I was. But my favorite thing to do when we were on tour is refer to myself at Roz and Nova as the talent, which just pissed Corret
Starting point is 00:10:48 off. Who just served to make her angry. She hated that. It was amazing. So hold on. Let me pause. I'm going to pause the recording because I'm going to bring up something.
Starting point is 00:11:03 Yeah. Go for it. We're recording again after we've shared forbidden knowledge. Forbitten knowledge. Yeah. Talking about we're ranking the patrons by how much we like them. It's the same as how much money. No, that's not true.
Starting point is 00:11:18 We have some great patrons, some excellent posters who are not at the $10 level. That's okay. I will say, I think my favorite poster, pound for pound, is Charlie because he's just bananas.
Starting point is 00:11:30 Like, obviously, well, he's ride or die, too. Yeah, well, like, well-red dude, very intelligent,
Starting point is 00:11:35 very articulate, very, very, like, kind guy, but absolutely fucking bananas, human being. Charlie, I mean this with all the love in the world.
Starting point is 00:11:42 That's not an insult. No, he's like having, having, I've met him a couple of times at this point. Yeah, he's a very like, you know, gives a shirt off your back type of guy. So, no, we, we have a, we have a, we have a good crew.
Starting point is 00:11:56 We like, I like everybody. I don't think I've ever gotten mad at anybody in the, uh, in the comment. Meanwhile, I'm just like, I'll, like, I'll shoot you with a gun if you talk to me. Yeah, what was, what was that thing? Oh, oh, do you want to, do you want to, do you want to mention you, we can, we don't have to talk about this, but Wayne was asking about crossing broad. Yeah. And I know that you know that there's a,
Starting point is 00:12:20 the guy's an asshole, but I forget what the reason. I forget what the reason is. What is it? Upskirt pictures. Oh. Yeah. Oh, I didn't know that.
Starting point is 00:12:30 Yeah. I mean, beyond the like normal gross shit, like where they like were trying to be barstool and sucked at it, which how do you, how can you not even be as competent as barstool? Yeah, they got in a heap of trouble because they like just wouldn't stop posting fucking upskirt pictures.
Starting point is 00:12:47 Ooh. Yep. What the fuck? Yep. And that's like, that's not like something I have to delete because it's like, it's like, I actually were doing that. Yeah. Like, yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:59 Okay. That's not, that's not like, uh, it's like here like conjecture. Libell. Right. Yeah. Uh, well, fuck crossing broad. Then we'll add that to the fuck use.
Starting point is 00:13:08 Yeah. Honestly. They're, they're gross. I mean, the writers are obviously not especially talented and not especially good people. there's this podcast that I really hate called Tipping Pitches.
Starting point is 00:13:22 Ooh. Yeah, Bobby Wagner, a bitch I heard. Oh, he's going viral over on the hell site. I saw that. I was just like, I know that guy. That's a nice guy. That guy's my business manager technically. Yeah, he's, he comes with this podcast to pity us.
Starting point is 00:13:39 He's just like, all right, all right, little bro. And I'm just like, it's me. My wife is always like, Can you put that one on? She likes, she likes their voices. They do have very smooth voices. Oh, yeah. And she wears, so if you're a Tippinpitch's patron, you were like eligible for this,
Starting point is 00:13:56 like, it's like a fake Italian pizza, like box shirt. Yeah, okay. My wife wears that all the time. Corinne, occasionally my favorite thing is that she'll wear the, well, there's your problem. Wall of text. Crew neck. And she's like, you know, if this didn't say come on it, I could actually wear this outside of the house. What are you going to do, right?
Starting point is 00:14:22 Yeah. Yeah. I mean, I wish I, I have worn the WTIP one out of the house a couple times, but usually not to anything local. Right. Yeah. If it's local around here, I don't want anyone to. Because I figure my voice is distinct enough to people would be like. I think that that's probably trill.
Starting point is 00:14:39 Yeah. I've always been told I've had the distinct voice. A friend of the show, Chris, who was. on the secret the secret preview like for pre first episode right uh he was like your voice is weird it's missing a middle he's like you have highs and lows but you don't have like a middle red the opposite of like a v yeah it like scoop the mids question mark i i boost my mids a little bit just a little bit and i and i think that works um i'm not i'm not deepening my voice a couple uh well not a couple of octaves.
Starting point is 00:15:13 You're not going full. What's her name from Theranos, Elizabeth. I can't remember her last name, but you don't talk about. I was going to go more Will Menacher, who, dude, they drop his, his voice is a little higher pitch in real life. And take us behind baseball, dude. No, on Reddit, I said that. And the young Chomsky, the producer of Trunon, I was like, that's not true. I was like, I've heard him on other podcasts.
Starting point is 00:15:38 And I've heard him on Chapo. And on other podcast, he sounds a little high. like, well, half an octave's too much. I was like, I don't know how long it is, but it's a little bit. Right. And there's nothing wrong with that. We all change our voices a little bit. Right.
Starting point is 00:15:50 Like, I've explained this, like, again, we're, we're filling air at some point. There's not a lot of sports going on, guys. Sorry, it's just the Phillies right now. Are they still losing? Because it gave a, Lizarda gave a two-run shot the first. I didn't start the game because I was doing like the legwork. The Nets and shit. I mean, the Phillies have been doing better.
Starting point is 00:16:08 But anyway, going back to... Sixth and a row. I mean, I've explained this a million. times and I've talked to print about it, I've honestly talked to my therapist about it where like on, not so much on this podcast because it's just like you and I like
Starting point is 00:16:22 bullshitting for a lot of the time. But there's your problem. Like I kind of play a version of myself. Yes. The same person I sort of am on Twitter. Yes. It's just like very agro. Yes. Very like. We were both like this when we started this podcast. Right.
Starting point is 00:16:38 Very like I'll like I will fuck you up at a parking lot and I like still will but I don't really want to. Right, right, right. Yeah, no, if you look at, if you go listen to, God forbid, look at early, like the first 50 episodes or whatever like that. Right. Like the first year, way more threats, way more talking about wanting to overthrow the government.
Starting point is 00:17:01 Right. I was explaining this to someone once where I was just like, they knew me as like a young man. So like under 18. And they were like, you know, you used. to be like even more aggressive and like kind of and they were saying like you used to be cool and I was like well I'm still like
Starting point is 00:17:17 mad at stuff but you know the anger is a is a hammer not a there's a scalpel not a hammer now right and you also are older and more mature and that's married and all that all that all right after we're back after the more secret knowledge had been shared yeah they'll never hear because it was paused
Starting point is 00:17:34 yeah that's right fuck you you get nothing and every every podcast we both we go through SSDs like crazy because we burn them after every Yeah, we are putting like open AI to shame. Yeah, we're kind of the reason why SSDs are so expensive. Open AI had nothing to do with that one. Yeah, it's actually all us.
Starting point is 00:17:55 Dude, I had to fucking hear about Sam Alvin one more time. I'm going to blow my brain on the shotgun. I don't give a shit. I don't. So I teach a class, a computer class at the senior center I work at. And the last couple weeks have been like more or less a lecture series on why like you should be skeptical of AI, not necessarily not use it, but like, yeah, these companies are not your friend sort of deal.
Starting point is 00:18:18 And the seniors are like, I never knew this stuff was out there. I'm like, yeah, I know. That's why I'm near my class. Dip shit. I don't say dip shit to the seniors. Yeah. Be a little mean. Yeah, it would be kind of rude, huh?
Starting point is 00:18:30 Just a little bit. A little bit. But, um, uh, what was I going to say? Shit. About teaching while you're talking about. You got this. You're talking about computers. I was talking about computers.
Starting point is 00:18:41 I don't. remember. I don't remember. It's too late. Nothing matters. It's silly. I was just thinking about Cassia again. Oh, titties? Yeah, huge tracks of land. Big anime girl titties. I knew a girl in high school who had that shirt. It's literally set big, like,
Starting point is 00:18:55 adores tracts of land on her chest. Well. Disheartening. Listen, that girl is probably very high up in the Society for Creative Anacritism right now. Do you know what that is? It's a Monty Python joke?
Starting point is 00:19:12 No, it's a like the people who run the Renaissance fairs and stuff. Oh, no, I don't know. No. Yeah. I've only been to a couple Renaissance fairs. I was much more magic the gathering kid. I hated going outside, which cannot shock anybody listening to this.
Starting point is 00:19:24 I would love to get a group of people to go to a rent fair in Star Trek. Just be like, oh, boy, we've got misunderstood. Well, that's like, it's like a running joke. The Trekkies will do that. Like, we're on the way mission on a medieval planet. I like that. It's very charming to be. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:19:40 It's like we could do that. We have a couple red shirts with us. die. Just fall over. Oh, my God. What happened here? Dropping like flies. Bones, he
Starting point is 00:19:53 ate a giant turkey leg fell over. That's all I said. Passed away. God damn it, Jim. I'm a doctor, not a cook. That's my bones. That's my, he's dead, Jim. But bones.
Starting point is 00:20:09 There you get, there you go. There's my fucking Shatner impression right there. That was actually not that bad. Like I just hate admitting when you're good at stuff because it goes right to your head. Yeah. I at least appreciate you know about yourself. Yeah. Oh, no. My, my ego is
Starting point is 00:20:28 very if I get any any pre. It's like it's like thou are only a man thing. I like yeah. Yeah. I mean I've been lectured on my ego before. Yeah. That's that's calm down. You talk about young me, man. Oh, me too, dude. Arrogent libertarian. Yeah, I was a piece of shit. I was just like, I knew everything.
Starting point is 00:20:46 And then I, like, hit my mid-20s. I was like, oh, I actually know not a goddamn thing, it turns out. I used to be a real piece of shit. Yeah, we all did. Sloppy stakes. I love that. That's what I know you do, because you're a bad person. Oh, he's so good.
Starting point is 00:21:03 That's why I'll get accused of next is stealing from him from, uh, Nathan Robinson. Not Nathan Robinson. No. That's the current events guy. Yeah, I mean, Tim Robinson. Tim Robinson. You know what I'm going to. God damn it. No, he's great.
Starting point is 00:21:19 But so college football's coming up and it's getting worse and worse. Yeah, it's getting, well, it's getting nonsensical, right? Like, that's where we are now. So I'm going to just read this headline. This is from CBSSports.com. Jesus Christ. X Old Mist, tight end, DeQuan Wright, becomes first NFL player to enter transfer portal with more likely to follow. The undrafted rookie is looking to return to college football.
Starting point is 00:21:44 while currently a member of the Browns roster. This has got to stop. I guess there's just unlimited, unlimited eligibility at this point. Well, because there's like nine concurrent court cases with nine, like different rulings is the thing.
Starting point is 00:21:58 And they, like they won't pass any meaningful legislation to address this. Is this, is this because of that weird that there was a Supreme Court ruling last year where it's like, like,
Starting point is 00:22:08 you can't have like a national stay on something? I don't know. I don't think. so it may be and I may have it wrong but yeah it's just this is I mean this is just out of hand like I don't know what our friends over at like sickos are going to do honestly
Starting point is 00:22:23 I it really is it's I mean like it's ridiculous and like whatever go get paid for the I don't blame the players for like trying to well I also like I think my thing right is like NIL money if you're like if you're still on a college campus right like NIL money versus being taken
Starting point is 00:22:41 as a tight end in what like the sixth or seventh round if you get drafted with no guaranteed contracts because the NFL doesn't have guaranteed contracts. Yeah. Like the NFL also has a responsibility to like beef up their, like, it's the competitiveness, but you know what I mean, right? Yeah, I know exactly what you mean, yeah. Yeah, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's weird, man.
Starting point is 00:23:05 It's weird. I mean, I don't want to be like siding with the boomers. Right. You had to do something with the money. Right. This is like the worst way to do it as opposed to like some profit sharing or something like that. Well, exactly. I think that's my beef, right?
Starting point is 00:23:22 Is it like this could have been handled in a way that absolutely made sense? And they like, there's like, fuck that. We're just like not going to do it in the way that is like relevant. We're going to put this money in a trust fund for you and then you get it when you, when you graduate or something. Right. And like that would have been or you get it at the end of the, I don't know. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:23:40 I'm just saying it's better than you leave school. The free market type of thing. And you like sign an agreement that like, I will not return. I am foregoing eligibility. Which you can do. Like when you declare for the draft in the NBA, you have to forego your remaining eligibility. It sucks that you can like, it's weird. It sucks that like the players, the roster turnover now.
Starting point is 00:24:03 Like it's more than an NFL roster almost. It is. Like, and we've talked about like how it's really frustrating for guys. Like if you're like a second string or third string like. like right guard like I don't blame you for transferring I mean even even even a quarterback like our Temple's new quarterback is a fucking backup from Penn State right and he's coming to the the American Congress of Temple because he's going to fucking play right a bo per bulla from your Pennsylvania went to Penn State backed up I can't remember who it was drew Aller I think and then
Starting point is 00:24:37 like left in some weird circumstances spent a year at missu last year now is it Virginia so you're on three schools in like three years. And this is, this is like, that's not college. That's not the college experience. My bit is like, I don't think there should be, and I, whatever, like,
Starting point is 00:24:55 maybe this is an affidna things we believe. Like, I don't think there should be unrestricted free agency in collegiate sports. Like, as, like, and it's one thing to be like, we're divorcing collegiate sports from the college. Like, we're doing development leagues. I can do all that.
Starting point is 00:25:10 But like, I think you, get one transfer free of charge. And then the second one, like unless it's a medical, a medical reason, which you should basically have blanket provision to do. And the NCAA sometimes rejects those, which is like,
Starting point is 00:25:25 okay, well, it's really hard to be sympathetic to you when you're rejecting medical transfers. Like, obviously the NCAA is not a good guy in this. And the players are just working within the confines. Right.
Starting point is 00:25:34 They're just trying to advance their personal interest, right? Right, which is like exactly what coaches have been doing for the whole time. I'm like, and we didn't criticize them. Like Temple's old special teams coach, who I follow on Twitter, went from Temple to UNLV, and I was at Florida State. I'm like, go get that back.
Starting point is 00:25:51 Like, Florida State is going to pay you way more than fucking Temple University is. So like, I don't want to hear it about like, oh, these guys aren't doing it the right way. But I don't know what the right way is. Well, I've said this before. The, the boomer college football guys are correct in the sense that the sport is being like turned upside down. They are correct. Now, they bitch about the players wanting money.
Starting point is 00:26:15 Right. Everyone wants money because you live in a capitalist society. And also, like, it's a dangerous fucking sport. Yeah. Like, we know that. It's in a, in the platonic ideal, right? Yes, you go to, you go to college and you play sports for your college team. You happen to play sports for your college team at the college that you're attending.
Starting point is 00:26:35 Right. But it hasn't been that way for a very long time, right? Right. Maybe the Ivy League school. They don't have scholarships anyway. right? No, they do. Do they now?
Starting point is 00:26:43 Yeah, they do. FCS. I thought the Ivy League was the only one you couldn't have a scholarship. No, you absolutely can. I thought it wasn't on Ivy League. They can't take NIL. Is that what I'm thinking of then? Maybe that, but you can absolutely get a football scholarship to, like, Harvard.
Starting point is 00:26:59 Let me just double check. Harvard does not. Harvard does not. Scholarships. Oh, you're right. I didn't know that. But, yeah. But you can get financial aid.
Starting point is 00:27:11 Like, right, which is like a wink wink. It's like a backdoor scholarship. I think it's like Harvard. It's like 250,000 a year. Family income. So like my mom was begging me to apply for IVs. Right. Which I mean, I probably should have at least thrown it out there, right?
Starting point is 00:27:28 Because she's like, you're going to go get free education. Like, how can go pay state? How'd that go for you? It didn't go very well. 40 grand down a drain. Anyway. I liked that that was one continuous sentence. Although that's that five more years, five more years and that's gone.
Starting point is 00:27:46 All that money's gone. Thank God. Now I can go become a lawyer or some bullshit. I don't know how long this teacher thinks are going to work. Depends how this year goes. But to go back to what I was saying like, yeah, like regional conferences are better than these giant mega conferences that are forming. 250% dude.
Starting point is 00:28:05 You want to hate the guys down the road. Exactly. That's a fun part. That's a good part about. college football is the local rivalries and like the guys are on your team and you're like, you went to school for the same reason I did because you're some dumb ass who live nearby. Right. But like, and that's one of the things, right, is that like people, I remember someone being like,
Starting point is 00:28:23 I saw it on on social media a couple days ago. So it was like, the temple Penn State rivalry because Temple called her rivalry, which no, it's not. It's not. It's more like a one-sided hatred. Yeah, exactly. You don't think about us and I hate your guts. I don't, it's like with that from Scrubs.
Starting point is 00:28:39 I don't hate you. I nothing you. That's been state to temple. Yeah. Oh, but you didn't, you, you, you felt something when we stacked Hackerberg ten times, didn't you assholes? Yeah, it, yeah. You want to hate the guys down the road? Backyard brawl.
Starting point is 00:28:56 Like, yeah, that's the fun of it. It's- Irrationally hating a team that has never done anything to you for no good reason is funny. That's why every, like, Georgia, Georgia Tech. And then, like, then like, these teams don't play each other. And it's like, why the fuck does. the ACC include Cal and Stanford? That doesn't make sense.
Starting point is 00:29:14 Atlantic Coast Conference. And the ACC, by the way, seems to be really, they're I mean, we have the fuck, like, like, like, they're done in the next five years. Or some bullshit. They're done in the next five years. They're really reaching.
Starting point is 00:29:28 We have the Monster Energy Big 12 now. Did you see those jersey patches? I don't know which way you're going to go with this. No, they're bad. Yeah. They look like, yes. awful. I was just sure if you're like, you're sick. Do I
Starting point is 00:29:44 look like matchaplucky to you? He would be like, yeah. I know. I know. I think he hates them too, but I will never miss an opportunity to make fun a match of plucky, but I love dearly. It's it sucks. I'm sick of, I'm sick of, like, it really
Starting point is 00:30:00 people are like, well, you, everyone uses insurification too much nowadays. Well, it's very accurate because we're in the... That's what this is, dude. This is the, this is the the cline of the American Empire. and we're in full in shouldification mode. Everything is being stripped for this parts.
Starting point is 00:30:15 I read an article today, but why the weather forecast suck now? Because we don't have enough people to do weather balloons. The more weather balloons you launch, the more data, raw data you have for the models, and the means the more accurate the models are. And because we have less, because of the doge cuts, we have shittier weather forecasts. Right.
Starting point is 00:30:31 And that's why I hate Rick Santoro because you try to prioritize the weather service. Yeah. Well, Trump also really wanted to do that the first term. Right. He hasn't really done too much towards it, but the acuether guy, I think was in the, like in his, not in his cabinet, but like one of his little, one of his little floaters on, I can't wait for the day you have. Every day, every once in a while I wake up, I'm like, it might happen today. Come on today.
Starting point is 00:30:56 It might be. It might happen today. Obviously of, of, of, you know, God's determination. God's wrath. Not by, not by the hand of man, but by the hand of severe. chronic arthioschalosis or
Starting point is 00:31:12 I don't really care anymore or pulmonary edema or whatever it is. The rape comes for all men. Oh God willing it's painful. Oh yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:31:25 Not only will you die but it'll hurt the entire time. Yeah. Not only will this kill you'll hurt the entire time you're dying. Yeah, I had that conversation with my wife. She was like, does electrician hurt?
Starting point is 00:31:33 I was like, oh yeah. Oh, yeah. Yeah. I've been minorly electrocured it twice and it was not nice. Because that was the guy, the guy, there was a, I think I talked about it in the disc group, but we didn't talk about it last to record it. There was a guy at Doylestown station. He jumped on the top of the train and fucking died.
Starting point is 00:31:47 And he's like, well, he never touched the wire. It's like, you don't need to. The 25 kilohertz. So I think it was like 12, it was the returns. It was like 12,000 volts, shit like that. I was like, yeah, you're not living here. Yeah, of course his heart stopped. Right.
Starting point is 00:32:00 You're not meant to have 12,000 volts go through your body. It feels bad. And then we were, then this, this conversation also went to something I learned. They're like, you know how like people say like, oh, birds can like, they can go on power lines because they're not creating a ground. Well, apparently estimates say about a million birds die a year because they land on one and get a put a wing out, get a little too close to the other one or something like that. Right, right, right. And we just kind of fucking that. It's like road kill.
Starting point is 00:32:27 Like we just don't give a shit. Like, fuck, man. Because I've been, I got to say like as I get older, I kind of been getting more in the birds. Yeah, I know. I was with you when you when you whipped out the birding app
Starting point is 00:32:41 Oh yes I did Because I wanted to know What that weird bird was Inside the wild It sounded like a parrot Where some sort of Tropical bird Like a parakeet
Starting point is 00:32:48 Inside the The wildwood naval air station The Oh Yeah Jesus Christ Yeah I got to see some great birds I was down the shore
Starting point is 00:33:00 Green heron Green herons are very goofy looking But it was kind of cool All birds are kind of good if you're looking though. Especially head-on. There actually was like a count.
Starting point is 00:33:09 It's like bald eagles head-on. You're like, yeah, boy, I see it was a Twitter account. I feel from the side. There was a Twitter account. It was like birds head-on. And it was like, every bird is very stupid head-on.
Starting point is 00:33:19 Side-prose, three-quarter side profile, excellent. Head-on? No, I don't want any bird head-on. Except for owls. Right. Ours look pretty tight. Hoot-hoot, motherfucker.
Starting point is 00:33:28 Exactly. Do I go? I got rid of it. I got rid of the T for Temple of you. You tick head. So the only really big thing was the Phillies besides being slightly better Or slightly worse, but in what day. Stadie's been hitting better.
Starting point is 00:33:46 Bowers, hitting better. Nester Cortez signed with the Phillies. I saw that. I was confused by that. I'm fine with that because it's like, let's take a rider. Right. On a guy who was a good pitcher and had surgery. And let's just see what happens.
Starting point is 00:34:02 He gets a stuff back, right? Yeah, he's rehabbing Clearwater. and fuck it there's no harm in it or it doesn't make a meaningful difference right no I mean and does he fit within
Starting point is 00:34:14 yeah I guess he fits within the the deadline for playing in the postseason yeah you should so I think so if he comes up
Starting point is 00:34:25 if he comes up to the majors right right if if if if yeah let me check on the Phillies now but I assume we're breaking my heart no we're beating the cards 32 nice
Starting point is 00:34:36 Oh, I didn't want to mention the awful, awful announcing had their annual, like, best baseball announcer's poll. And I think the Crucker and Tom and Cruck were at six, I believe. I mean, pulled up. That's honestly too low. Yeah. And they said, Cruck feels like watching a game with a friend. Yeah, who does? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:35:06 Yeah, your John Cruck is, I mean, McCarty's, Tom McCarthy calls a good game. But Cruck is, but Cruck is, the way they play off each other is honestly terrific. It's a great, it's a great back and forth. And it's so great when they, there was a game where they had Ben Davis down in the sideline reporter. And then Cruck and Tom up in the booth. And they were both making fun of Ben, but Ben is too stupid to realize. that he's being made fun of.
Starting point is 00:35:38 It is so good. Because Tom will do that with Ben Davis. Consistently, yeah. But when crux's in the mix, it's like, oh, this guy's a real fucking, he's a quarter short of a dollar or whatever. Like, he's, yeah, yeah. Number, who do you think the number one was?
Starting point is 00:35:58 The number one? I don't know, the socks or the Yankees, maybe the oils. Padres. That makes sense. I've I've I've I've I've oh they got Don or Silo right uh giants are number two Mets were three
Starting point is 00:36:12 uh Yankees four Cubs were five I like the Cubs booth I like John Seanby but um yeah the last last place was athletics followed by the Rockies and nationals yeah and then the Rangers
Starting point is 00:36:28 garbage teams are garbage people but the the uh the athletics were like out of all the votes particularly bad. Yeah, I mean, because John Fisher just just not care about that team in any meaningful way. They don't give a shit. So yeah, I mean, I don't really
Starting point is 00:36:46 have anything. I was debating Temple Football Forever. He's like asking for donations for his server fees, which are where I had it up. I actually closed it. It's 144,
Starting point is 00:37:04 $45 a year at literally payment to keep the domain going. And I feel like I want to be like, I will pay the $145, but you're never allowed to use AI again. I think that's fair. And because on his last, what the new single digits say about Temple Football, his latest article, he's like, I asked Grock the other day, what school started the single-traditional tradition, single-digit tradition in college football? I got the correct answer, Temple University. Right. No, you got to stop. You got to stop using GROC.
Starting point is 00:37:38 Stop using the C-San machine. You know. I know you're right, but that's upset. Yeah. Yeah. And he's used a couple of images. I think he's mostly on Twitter. But he is unabashed homer for Temple Al's football.
Starting point is 00:37:54 So it's like, what are we going to do? Yeah. He's like he and he writes like twice a week. Like he's putting out content. Right. More than we're doing. Yeah, although I guess we are going to kick into Full sports mode.
Starting point is 00:38:11 Yeah, false sports where I do myself irrevocable harm editing episode the same day I put, we recorded. Hell yeah, dude. Hell yeah, you do. Yeah, the first game September 1st with Rhode Island. Yeah. Penn State's 912. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:38:29 All right, you went getting this, our feedback. Might as well. All right, so the first one's a, a text to the Google voice line. Hi Tom, Ye, Liam, Sam here. Pronouns he, him.
Starting point is 00:38:42 Longtime listener, first time commentator. First time, long time. In case you haven't heard, I'm bringing you some Portland, Oregon sports-related drama. Tom Dundan,
Starting point is 00:38:53 the owner of the Portland Trailblazers. Oh, I've seen this. Once the city that pay for the motor center, the main sports slash event arena here, or he'll take the Blazers and leave for another state, like Leah Bluff. The city technically owns the arena, but the Blazers are the big attraction there.
Starting point is 00:39:07 The city of Portland is open to pay $120 million in renovations, $586 million total estate and county funds included, but some conditions attach to the proposal. One, the Blazers in the ownership group, led it by the bloated tick Tom Dundon, would have to pay $6 million every year with yearly increases. Two, make a labor harmony agreement happen, more unionized jobs, limit on future inspections.
Starting point is 00:39:29 Our mayor, Keith Wilson, is already bending over backwards for the Blazers and half the city council is fine, with counting to a billionaire as well. Fortunately, the Portland DSA is footing back and making sure the working class year won't suffer if they can't help it. I don't know how the Blazers players are feeling
Starting point is 00:39:44 about this whole situation, but they hope they aren't individually siding with the owners. Anyway, fuck Tom Dundon, fuck the Portland Business Alliance, Sarlay Portland Metro Council, critical support to the Portland DSA and fuck Penn State. Yeah, that's already a pretty sweet deal. That is a good deal.
Starting point is 00:40:00 Yeah, I mean, these, but there's no, these people, we've said anything labor. There's no such thing or concept or enough, right? Like, it's like, it's like telling a landlord like they, they actually have to,
Starting point is 00:40:12 you know, paint contribute to society and it's a meaningful way. Yeah, yeah, you actually can't steal security deposits. I'm being oppressed. Better, better fund some fucking fascists.
Starting point is 00:40:26 So I don't lose that, that sweet, sweet income. Yeah. So, yeah, so critical support, obviously,
Starting point is 00:40:32 as he said, and hopefully shitheads get their comeuppance. Get their do. So we have another DM from Wookie. This one he had to send by DM. Carrier pigeon.
Starting point is 00:40:49 Because Blue Sky wouldn't let him post it. For some reason. What? I have no, there's no restrictions on his account. Like... Brother what? Yeah. It wouldn't let him post it.
Starting point is 00:41:00 It was like giving him an error. So I mean that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's true to the game of blue sky. Yeah. Um, well no no discord wasn't letting him post. Oh that's yeah yeah. Yeah. So I had a send it over blue sky. Oh okay. Now I've now I follow. Yeah. So we got um, Hey Tom, yay Liam postman woken here with an arena ball update. Both the turbulent AF one held their championship game last night despite all the drama the last several weeks of report regional planning overspending owners running out of money and a litany of team certainly to leave the league. The AF1 held their playoffs with minimum snacks.
Starting point is 00:41:33 So I'll pause there. They were talking about arena football on the last shutdown forecast. And I was like, please get metric mic on. Get him on. You mean Milwaukee? Use your connection, Liam forward his. You mean Postmanow-Wiki. Tell him to have Wookie on.
Starting point is 00:41:47 Wookie gets to be on the full cast before me. Or me? Yeah, I thought you were on. You were on sickos, right? Yeah. Yeah. We have talked about me guessing on shutdown, but it just hasn't happened yet.
Starting point is 00:42:01 Yeah, you would dominate. Thank you. Yeah. That's sweet of you. Thank you. Yeah, you would be great on that. Do more people the better. They should have 10 people just talking over each other.
Starting point is 00:42:12 I love what people are like, I can't understand what they're saying about like a three person. Well, there's your problem. Like, it could get so much worse. It could get worse. They absolutely could get worse. Sure, the Kentucky barrels exit at round one with the scab team consisting of a hodgepodge. Jesus Christ. Of barrel players in the end.
Starting point is 00:42:29 independent Odessa Drell's players and Minnesota Monsters owner, Jacob Lambert, was ejected during his team's semifinal loss to Albany. But most games were high scoring, exciting affairs that evoked the Arena Bowl of old. Back when Bon Jovi was in the game. Wow. Yeah. That's me.
Starting point is 00:42:45 That's right. That's right. That's right. Last night's Arena Crown can't call it Arena Bowl since 2024's AFL still holds the rights to it. So the Nashville playing in Clarksville, Cats defeat the Albany Firebirds
Starting point is 00:43:01 59 to 53. Breakout star quarterback Tyler Kolka led the league in passing yards and was finally able to beat Albany veteran QB Sam Castronova. The cats made a goal line stop
Starting point is 00:43:15 as the final seconds. Tastronova attempted the quarterback sneak was stuffed and a last second lob pass hit his receiver's fingers. So it was dropped. I want to look up this Tyler Colcofellow
Starting point is 00:43:30 to see what college you went to. Mechanical Engineering Major, quarterback one, Lawrence Technological University. I've never heard of that. Where is it? Lawrence, Kansas, I imagine, maybe? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:43:49 That would make sense. Lawrence Technological University. Where is that? No, it's a Michigan. Again, Southfield, Michigan. Okay. And then where's the San Cashin Over? Where's San Casanova go to?
Starting point is 00:44:03 We haven't finished his voicemail, but I just want to know. Nothing matters anymore. Oh, there's actually a Wiki article on him. Oh, wow. He played the 2015-2016 seasons at Erie Community College. Then he transferred the Bethel University. I mean, McKenzie, Tennessee. Okay.
Starting point is 00:44:23 What? Degree of Ethics. Oh, it's N-A-I-A. Oh. Hey, but you know what? Fuck it. That's playing time, baby. And his, and the first picture that comes up is him jumping over the goal line, I guess it looks like, with the, with his ball.
Starting point is 00:44:39 With the ball in his hand. Mm-hmm. All right. That's kind of sick. There are no, there's no one in this crowd. Oh, yeah. Let me link you. The shit, dude.
Starting point is 00:44:48 There is no one there. Oh. I have an add to on the page for feeding bleach to a mouse. That's the kind of web slate this is. Well, those are your problem, baby. Yeah. All right. Well, shouts out to these guys.
Starting point is 00:45:06 I finished the voicemail. A lot of questions remain for the AF1. It is expected this week that the Michigan Arsenal will leave for the rival and cheaper American Arena League. Kentucky is dead. Beaumont has a racist owner who owes his players and staff money and his antics of led local sponsors avoiding the team like the plague. Minnesota is now threatening to leave after Lambert. is it Lambert, is it Lambert or Lambert I don't know, Lambert's injection and argument
Starting point is 00:45:29 with league CEO, Jerry Kurtz. Meanwhile, former Billings outlaws owner, Stephen Titus, took the Twitter in a litany of tweets to shame the league that he still owns a staken, aiming his ire, directly occurs, Kurtz occurs for his lack of direction and quality control. And finally, a rumored Long Beach
Starting point is 00:45:45 team was rumored to be announced last night at the crown, but that appears to be false hope. We shall see if the domino's fall this week. I love slash hate this game. Yeah, I Don't play me. This is insane. And that's how I learned blue sky has a character limit for D.N. There's no three minutes,
Starting point is 00:46:04 wherever you go. We should have to tell you this, frankly. Blue sky's like this verbally over three minutes. And next one. Well, thanks again for the Byzantine machinations. And yeah, let's get him on the shutdown. This is insane, dude. I don't understand how this league make.
Starting point is 00:46:26 I guess it doesn't make money. I don't know what they, what they're doing. Do any of these leagues make money? They can't, right? Like, there's no way. We can probably get a league owner on the pod. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:46:38 We could get a player. Maybe not an owner because they're like, oh, this is left. They're probably too dumb to look us up. Yeah. Why would they look us up? Yeah. We could probably get someone. Why would anyone look us up?
Starting point is 00:46:48 We're morons. Yeah. I mean, the, the fucking Jerry, not Jerry, St. Dusky's son. Joe Paterno's son keeps emailing you, so. I know. Told not know it, brother. Your dad was complicit
Starting point is 00:47:04 in some real evil shit. Please stop emailing me. All right. So our next our next DM is from Roshin. Hey Tom, Yee, Liam, Garge are now sub 500 and 3rd in Aal Central. Where they belong? With a 10 to 20 record from the All-Star
Starting point is 00:47:20 All-Star break to Wednesday 819. and four-tenths is a trade deadline. Still incapable of hitting with runners the scoring position aside from Hugh, surprising blow-out games in their favor. Jose Ramirez still hasn't been himself all season, yet alone post-hammate surgery? It's that bone in your hand.
Starting point is 00:47:39 He's still extremely bruised and hurting because of the rush to bring him back, and then misguided hope that he breathed any life into our terrible offense. One silver lining this week has been the call-up of Angel Hanau. who in a Tomston, tungsten arm O'Doyle-esque feet,
Starting point is 00:47:58 broke the franchise record for most hits by a player in an MLB debut with five in a six to five loss against the Mets. The Mets may have swept us, but they were kind enough to take out the trash with them upon leaving town, claiming Fabriel Arias off rate, waivers. He got that. With his arrogant loser ass was DFA to make room for Hennow.
Starting point is 00:48:23 now, chanel, I don't know. And then they immediately dumped Arayas. Packers still haven't got rid of domestic battery Josh Jacobs yet and the Browns training camp, QB1, mid-off between Shador Sanders. He's not looked very good. And serial rapist to Sean Watson remains inconclusive.
Starting point is 00:48:39 At this point, I am still first and foremost, Eagles fan. Thanks, Rashid. Oh, did the Eagles got deleted it. Fuck you, Roz. He deleted ELGL LS. Yes, I was going to play it. also the Cleveland sirens Cleveland's
Starting point is 00:48:56 WNBA team to be just officially announced their name and held their inaugural fan fest on the 8th with play to beginning the 2028 season I'd love as well for the current 4 team WPBL to expand to Cleveland sometime soon but until then by baseball server of queer furries and also metric Mike I've chosen to root he's listen listen
Starting point is 00:49:20 that's how you know it's legit because the queer group always has the token straight guy and that's the realist straight guy because you know that he's chill the one that always gets involved invited to the queer poly I'm not saying you guys are probably
Starting point is 00:49:35 but like the queer furry group or whatever like that there's the token straight guy and that's like oh yeah he's the cool one shout out metric Mike oh WPVL is Williams professional baseball league who
Starting point is 00:49:50 there's an article going around by Jen of tipping pitch of Slack fame so let's go go read their article about that. It's good. They're not getting paid a lot of money. It's like nine grand a year. Right. And
Starting point is 00:50:10 are they actually going to get paid? Who knows? Who's the same? Yeah. But they have chosen the route for the Boston Hunters who currently support a three, four record and have already deservingly shit canned their head coach. I would all this for that. We didn't even talk about this.
Starting point is 00:50:28 I would also like to congratulate Annes Canter Freedom and Royce White another domestic abusership act. They're definitely real transitions since they declared for the next WNBA draft. And what can I only assume is an entirely good head and not good faith. And as Cantor Freedom, good head.
Starting point is 00:50:45 No. A good faith and not blatantly obvious bullshit attention grabbing stunt by two dickhead losers couldn't hack it in the NBA meant to further gin up rabbit transphobia using women's support to the cudgel. Yeah, Edis King Frieder, Roy's right. Feel free to do the two years of
Starting point is 00:50:59 feminizing hormones. Yeah, please. Go ahead and do that. See how that makes you feel because you definitely won't have gender dysphoria because it's not the gender that's in your mind. Right. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:51:10 Fuck it. Fun and asshole, dude. It's so fucking. Royce White couldn't hack in the NBA because it wouldn't get on a plane. Like, fuck these guys. Lastly, putting out the call for anyone who knows any live English language coverage of MVP Nippon professional baseball, specifically the Orks Buffaloes, and or any other Buffalo specific English language media, please hit me up. Go birds, go calves, go hunters, gun bathe buffaloes, go sirens in two years.
Starting point is 00:51:44 Get your goddamn shit together, guardians. I swear to God, fuck Stephen Voight. Well, two-time AL manager of the year my ass. The man couldn't manage his way out of a wet paper bag. Fuck Paul Dolan. Fuck Jimmy Hasl. Fuck Josh Jacobs. Fuck, Josh Jacobs.
Starting point is 00:51:57 Fuck, Desjana Watson. Fuck, Andrews, freedom. But fuck Royce White. Fuck Amy Active for continuing to refuse the trans people. Her campaign now having blocked her removed transpeakers from a virtual LGBTQ plus forum. Fuck, O'Has State. Fuck, Furn State. And redact every sexual assaultor, domestic abuser, and transfer up into a ditch.
Starting point is 00:52:11 And redact them with a redacted until they're redacted, redacted, redacted consistency of Chunky Marinera. I really want to see how to. fuck you pronounce this Japanese word. Ganbate. I'm not going to do an offensive accent. Ugh.
Starting point is 00:52:26 Okay. Well, that got for that. It says good, Ganbata. Gambata. I mean, that sounds bad.
Starting point is 00:52:32 Garbato is Baffaroso. We're not, like, we, you know. I would. I mean, if you could make me learn
Starting point is 00:52:39 Jap, like send Japanese to my brain, which is Japanese is a fucking sick-sounding language. If you could send Japanese to my brain
Starting point is 00:52:45 by Tompain. I just, just hear a Japanese guy says, Sengokuji da. that's like dope as fuck right like there there there's addiction in Japanese that is cool as shit I'm not talking about the anime voices I'm not talking about that Charlie sorry I'm not saying the anime voices are good okay thank you especially not the female characters
Starting point is 00:53:05 I don't particularly care for them please make it stop um I am I'm pleading with you to make it stop um all right let's do we need an anime style intro music for the Beck's podcast with correspondingly incomprehensible lyrics like the the new
Starting point is 00:53:27 Dragon Ball Z ones all right anyway we got our last DM hey Liam hey Liam RJ he him
Starting point is 00:53:35 it's almost time for the most important time in the Pennsylvania sports calendar the Little League World Series starts Wednesday this year's
Starting point is 00:53:44 Mid-Alanic representative was once again from the Commonwealth with the Westchester Eastside Little League making the drive up Route 15 this time.
Starting point is 00:53:51 I was curious if I could get any sense from the regional tournaments who was looking strong and holy shit it could be a bloodbath. Tokyo beat Chiba 22 to 5 to win Japan spot and Henderson Nevada must have drank the correct amount of raw milk to take the mountain region and murdered Laramie, Wyoming 12-0 and 4
Starting point is 00:54:07 innings along the way. So I'll pick those two. Who you's got? ignoring the various parent cheating scandals kids who have to go to Geisinger after falling out of bongs and offshore gambling. Fuck over-investive sports teams, parents. and read another book. Yes, please read another book.
Starting point is 00:54:22 Jesus Christ, you ain't the line. That black mold is fully in charge of her brain at this point. The fact, as I look up who's in the tournament, the fact that they rerouted a pipeline over a fictional grave into actual like Bronze Age ruins. For a dead fictional elf. It's a dumb book. I read them all as a kid.
Starting point is 00:54:49 I read them voraciously. I read them all in a day. Me too, man. I love those books, but she fucking sucks. She's a bigot. She has characters named like Ching Chong, like Cho Chang,
Starting point is 00:55:01 but yeah, Cho Chang. Whatever, it might as well be. They're all fucking racist for her thinking selling names. I know. And don't clip me saying that. But it's, it's,
Starting point is 00:55:13 it's, I just imagining like, you know, this, this is a lesbian, characters. Your name is like a scissory temperate. I was going to be a little class here. This is Lesbos Lesbos McSafo. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:55:30 She's Greek. Cisory timbers. Like, like, fuck, man. Don't clip that either. This shit sucks, dude. Fuck. Harry Potter. Fuck. There's a new Harry Potter store in Doylestown. It's like, dude, There's, why is there one? There's one in fucking New Hope. Like, do we need that many in the county? That's, that's too, too many for one county.
Starting point is 00:55:58 Who cares? Oh, my God. Ooh, magic school. Cool. Oh, you're better than regular humans. And we, and there's racism against, against regular humans. And, oh, there's a whole thing about why didn't they stop World War II? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:56:16 Why don't you write better shit? get their asses you're not wrong I just like listening to you lose your shit I just I hate people It's exhausting dude I hate like the It's not book talk but it's book talk Type of fanism yeah
Starting point is 00:56:33 I hate that type of fandom It's like who gives it they suck They suck it's like Brandon Sanderson He fucking sucks He's actually less odious a person Actually he's probably a decent guy in real life He just donates He ties to the fucking LDS
Starting point is 00:56:46 Right That's his, that's his big issue. If he didn't tie the LDS, he'd just be a quirky fat guy. Which, who among us, right? Right. So, I don't know. I guess I'm going to root for Westchester because it was just Bamar Jarrah and this is, this is playing, this is fucking cheating my way to Lily World Series. Man, I used to love Viva, Bam, embarrassingly enough.
Starting point is 00:57:17 I feel like I did a, I did a Bamarger. thing in the group chat that like no one recognized a couple days ago. It was very funny. I only remember what it was. Oh, how you do stuff? Okay, I'm going to get cues to stealing a Comtown bit, which is true. This is Bamargeron. This is sticking your, this is sticking Phil's
Starting point is 00:57:33 dick in the lake with the piranhas. Uh-huh. There was a piranha found in Ridley Township. Was there? Fucking dog, dude. Yeah. Come on, bam. It's four to more. I want to stick my dick in the lake.
Starting point is 00:57:47 All right. I acknowledge I'm stealing that. But it's evergreen. It's very funny. I'm proud of you, question mark. Yeah, well, here's the thing about piranhas, right? They're like, yeah, yeah, all right, let's do it. Let's talk about piranhas because they're like, hey, the kid identified the piranha because all the YouTube videos. And this is my thing.
Starting point is 00:58:07 I think every 12-year-old knows what a piranha is just right being 12 years old because that's one of the things you think is cool when you're that age. Yes, can't confirm. Piranhas are sick, sharks, T-Rex, bulldozers. race cars. When you're 12 years old, that's, that's like the cool, those are the things you know about. Right. Like, yeah. Like, like, like, nothing makes a 12 year old happier than telling an adult that a piranha could.
Starting point is 00:58:33 Yeah, did you know that there was a piranha ate a goat in 30 seconds? And most adults are too not educated enough to know that's not true. Right. Because a prana is not that big, right? Yeah. And they're not like that vicious. Like, right. Like, that's a thing from like some travelogue.
Starting point is 00:58:49 from the 1890s and the Victorians would never make up anything. No. No. But anyway, yeah, go where's the idiot, actually. All right, we got two voicemails, three voicemails today. So let's go. We get two from Kyle and then one from Charlie. Let's listen to the first Kyle.
Starting point is 00:59:10 Hey, Tom, Yeh, Liam. This is Kyle from Cleveland. I'm pronouncing him. I found myself in that little fallow period where I only get to follow baseball. Yeah. But I found a fixation for myself. In the ECHO, that's like the Eastern Collegiate League. Hockey League.
Starting point is 00:59:36 The Wheeling Naylor's have been basically shout out. from the penguins, the Pittsburgh Penguins, their organization, just like two days ago, they were announced that they were going to pair with the Columbus Blue Jackets organization. Okay. Which is great for me because, like, I don't really give a shit about the Blue Jackets. Fair enough. care about them is when my favorite NHLC in the Minnesota WIO comes to play. But now, I get to root for two teams from that organization.
Starting point is 01:00:19 I get to root for my hometown Cleveland Monsters, who I love and adore. And now these weird guys from Wheeling, I almost said Wheeling, Pennsylvania, Yeah. Willing West Virginia. So now I have two teams to root for in that organization. I finally have an ECHO team to root for. Hell yeah. I never thought I would say that myself.
Starting point is 01:00:46 I'm rooting for both my monsters and my nailers. Nailers? Wheeling nailers, right? I think so. Yeah. Because my NHT team is in Minnesota Wild, then well I think I said this before I can't just automatic to go through the dealers yet
Starting point is 01:01:07 so the wheelie nailers have fallen onto my lap I'm glad that the nails have ours are the Reading Royals yes I like budget tell you as they are in fact oh I I want to follow this team and it does at least give you something else look after So I basically have like all five down pat.
Starting point is 01:01:34 I got the AHA. I got the AHA. I got the UCHO. I got the WPHL. And I've got... WPHL. Almost. Who the fuck the...
Starting point is 01:01:46 The Minnesota Golden Glovers. Okay. Five, six, seven. Okay. For Penn State. Yeah. Did it cut him off at Fuck Penn State? Yes.
Starting point is 01:01:59 Will have it, Kyle. Didn't Minnesota Golden Gophers Aren't they the team that killed Jack Tice? I think so. I do have to correct you though It's the eastern, you used to be called the East Coast Hockey League. Oh, is it not? Yeah, it's just ECHL now.
Starting point is 01:02:16 Oh, it's just ECHL, okay. Yeah. All right, we got another Kyle. He called it another day. So let me go ahead and see. All right, that's better. Hey, Tom. Yeah, Liam.
Starting point is 01:02:29 This is Kyle from Cleveland, pronoun to him. I forgot to use my new Bluetooth speaker for this one. He do sound CRISPR. It's not really a lot. He does sound crisper. In Cleveland Sports, because
Starting point is 01:02:42 the Guardians are basically dead. Yes. They're not entirely out, but they just kind of suck ass at the moment. There are basically two things kind of keep me going sports-wise. The first is that
Starting point is 01:02:57 I am like a day after the first Vikings preseason game and like I know preseason doesn't matter but uh no I didn't watch the English looking pretty good not me either uh J.K. McCarthy is just just fucking toasted uh... speaker changed he's awful uh somehow he managed to make Carson wins while people look good
Starting point is 01:03:21 like Carson wins who again has the same like level of like CB of like CTE is Crest in Waw Circa 19 like 99 Oh 2007 Don't give him a blowflex
Starting point is 01:03:37 Yeah and fucking J.J. McArvey couldn't I said bench him Give another year Maybe he can be a little bit better The fact that he's getting showing up by Carson Wentz is a fucking embarrassment
Starting point is 01:03:47 But Wend's getting paid though For like entire different sports so in the ECHL, which I have never really paid attention myself, the Wheeler's, which is like the ECHL affiliate for the Penguins, they actually got sold, so now they're part of the Columbus Blue Jackets. Yes.
Starting point is 01:04:16 Now, I don't give a shit about Columbus Blue Jackets. I'm in Minnesota Wild Boyd. Is this the same voice like that? No, that might be. Because the first one That's fine. They, like,
Starting point is 01:04:32 they somehow actually pack the same stadium that the calves do day in and day out. Like the little boy team to root for, like the nailers, like, I go down to wheeling.
Starting point is 01:04:44 Oh. Oh. That's so cool, like, the fact that, like, this entire, like, all three of there are within, like, three hours of each other.
Starting point is 01:04:57 It's great. Oh, two. for 9. Fuck the usual guys. And also fuck down on Trump. Bye. Oh.
Starting point is 01:05:11 Oh, thanks. That was so good. 249, 250. Oh, my God. Dude, Carson Wentz graduated with a 4.0. From North Dakota State. But yes.
Starting point is 01:05:23 So, has anyone... I graduated with a 3-8. So... I was a 3-6? double. The, the, uh, have, people have made the Carson Wentz, Prince Harry like comparisons, right? Yeah, of course.
Starting point is 01:05:39 Okay. I wasn't sure if I was just the first person, though. No, you are obviously not the first person to figure that out. Okay. Because I just realized that out, because Prince Harry's on my fucking feed today. Don't give a shit about royals. I don't care. Yeah, I know.
Starting point is 01:05:52 Yes, the royal family's racist. That's where they were, that's where they were shitty to Megan Markwell. Shout out, Megan. What's up? Anyway. How's that guy? How's it going? How's that going for you?
Starting point is 01:06:02 You like, you like dumb white guys with brown hair and red beards. Just saying. Anyway. I'm just saying like, long, deep sigh. All right,
Starting point is 01:06:18 let's listen to the Charlie instead. Hey, Hey, Tommy, Liam. This is Charlie from Roxborough. Yehan. Philadelphia Union.
Starting point is 01:06:26 Go for the very brief, uh, Leagues Cup. They lost two, won the middle game against Nexia lost to Cruz Azul and club Santos Laguna. They're out. They only put the top four teams. You needed seven on more points to advance to four MLS teams, four league MX teams advance of the quarterfinals of that. But they did return to MLS Cup, MLS play against New York City FC in the baseball stadium. where they gave up two bad penalties. Early Nelson Pierre pulled down former union player Andres in the box.
Starting point is 01:07:09 Kind of a soft penalty for three minutes in, but it still pulled them down. Freya made a meal of it. And NYC converted that one, then that thing is right at the end of the head. Nice. Thank you. Indiana Vasselov turned his body into the ball. Kind of made his shave a little bit bigger, but still kept the arm within the body. line, but they gave that as a penalty,
Starting point is 01:07:33 NYCFC converts that. So into the second half, the union did have the better of it, didn't capitalize any cases in the first half, but NYCFC just fell asleep in the second half. Donnelly John Jacques got a redirected shot off of a free kick, and then Cabin Sullivan pulled apart the NYCFC backline for two assists, the two Bruno Damiani goals
Starting point is 01:08:00 for the union to keep their winning streak in league play going to four games three two over NYCFC hopefully this is the last year of the baseball stadium as the new stadium in Queens should open next year or 2028 I don't really care
Starting point is 01:08:15 but uh thanks showy for the update apparently like we bodied messy or something like that too oh good for us that sounds like us there was two red cards in the match of inter Miami on the ninth team Let's see. Did you try to post about it in the Up Sneaks channel?
Starting point is 01:08:36 I didn't say anything. You said it'll never be normal. And they have weird playoff brackets he was posting about, which seems insane too. Oh, yeah. Kevin Sullivan's youngest player in MLS history receiver red card. Welcome to Philly asshole. He is really going for the slim, shady look. Oh, I know, brother. It's nice to see that's coming back.
Starting point is 01:08:58 that's it yeah oh slowly yeah all right I think that's that's something that we bring back
