So David Hayward, this is the little nugget.
This is the extra morsel.
This is the show and tell.
The morsel.
Yes.
So we ask everybody who takes part in this.
This is reasons to be joyful, the podcast.
So we ask you to share something that's joyful.
You can either bring it along or you can bring a picture.
Now, it's a bit difficult because I know what yours are.
You can't really bring them into the studio with you because they'll be going,
duh.
Duh.
What have you brought along?
I brought two pictures of, a picture of my two,
daughters and they came to see me, I think with my daughter, I love them dearly.
But I missed 10 years of their life because I was in America.
And they didn't particularly watch, they didn't watch the show.
And they're not that enamoured.
They're not, they don't really, exactly.
They don't really get it.
But when I came back and when I went into the West End.
Oh, so this is just recently.
This is just recently.
So this recently, they're like, there's a picture of dad on the tube.
Oh, there's a picture of dad on a poster.
I think they suddenly got it.
They suddenly thought, oh, no, daddy's actually a bit well known.
And I could see them sort of going, oh, I see.
And then they came to see the play.
And it was best of enemies.
They came to see the play.
And they were so into it.
And my daughter just couldn't believe.
I mean, they've seen me on stage before, but because it was modern and politics,
they couldn't believe we got this out of a script.
And my daughter was fascinating.
it with the script and she...
Oh, that's incredible.
You can see her with the picture.
She's got it on her lap.
Oh, there's the photo.
Oh, I love that.
And she did not let the script go all night.
She wrote it on the train, on the way home.
She went to bed.
She said, I'm taking the script.
And she's kept it with her since.
She's kept the script.
So I'll explain the photograph.
Your girls.
Sitting on the chairs.
Sitting on chairs,
on stage, with trainers on,
with their hands up,
headphones on,
and a script on the lap.
It sums everything up for me.
That is such a lovely photo.
My girls sort of coming to the theatre
and being genuinely sort of impressed.
You know, and not expecting to be.
How wonderful. They're proud of Dad.
Yeah.
I think of Hairwood. Thank you.
Thank you for the Nugget as well.
It's been lovely. I've really enjoyed it.
Thank you for bringing me in.
It's always lovely to come and talk to genuine people.
You're very kind.
