Starting point is 00:00:16 So this is our extra nugget. This is an extra bit of joy. On reasons to be joyful, we always ask our guests to bring in something show and tell or discuss something that brings them huge joy. Okay, show and tell time. Come on. I imagine your life just because you bring so much people joy. You really do. You're on my list, as I said, of the most joyful people. What brings you joy? I couldn't bring it. My stuffed cat. My cat, Lili. than I had for 16 years. I had her freeze dried and she sits in my office. We've had this conversation before. I'm sorry to repeat it, but it's true. No, I'm now, oh.
Starting point is 00:00:55 It makes me so happy every morning when I walk in. Did you see my face when you said it? She's talking about it again. Oh, no, it's just... I, okay, I have so... I'm sorry to say it, but can I tell you why it brings me so much joy? It's a real cat. It's a real cat.
Starting point is 00:01:12 It's my cat for 16 years, my Siamese cat, Cat Lilo. The reason it brings me so much joy is, because I think more and more we live in a world where people are afraid to make big choices and do things that are weird and uncomfortable, but just because it's what they want to do because we're all afraid of what people might say on social media or being cancelled or being weird.
Starting point is 00:01:32 And everyone's just really, you know, when I think of like old school, famous people from back in the day were wild and doing crazy things. No one does that anymore. Everyone's so boring because everyone's just so afraid of getting into trouble. And when I look at my...
Starting point is 00:01:46 my dead stuffed cat, I'm like, I did that because that's the weird part of me that needed to be satisfied. And I'm not afraid to say I did it. It's my favorite thing I've ever done. And it just, I think encapsulates my personality so much that I am a sociable, easygoing, nice person, but I also have this quite twisted part of me that wanted to stuff my cat. And that's why I love it. so much. I'm allergic to cats. Do you think I'd be allergic to a stuffed real cat? No, she doesn't, I doubt she carries the same dander issues that
Starting point is 00:02:24 the alive cats do. I'm surprised me not allergic to me. I'm like 90% cat at all time. Do you know, I do walk by people or I sit on the tube and I'll suddenly, ha-achu! And I'll just say to them, excuse me, do you have a cat? Yeah. I quite often. I mean, I talk to everybody, everywhere I go.
Starting point is 00:02:40 But if I ever say that, they look at me as if I'm a freak and then they go, yeah, why? Because you just made me sneeze. They just, then they move. I love the idea of them saying no and you'd be like, you make me sneeze. Do you know what happened live on tell you once? On the big breakfast, we had somebody, there was some cat story, and she brought the cat on. And I said to everybody, I'm really allergic to cats.
Starting point is 00:03:00 They went, it'll be fine, we'll do it outside. The whole interview is going, hush you! So we do, hush you! The whole way through. My eyes streaming, my nose, rash on my neck, it was divine. But you haven't done that to me. You never would. You never would. Thank you, Dawn.
Starting point is 00:03:16 Thank you, darling. Wonderful.
