As we always do, we give everybody a little show and tell an extra nugget of joy on our Friday episode.
I have no idea ever what my guests are going to bring in.
Right.
Something that brings you joy.
Explain, tell me more, show and tell.
So as an item, and it's always my go-to.
I, on my 13th birthday, my eldest sister, she brought me a Chicago bull.
Jersey
from the
from the second three peat
that they did
that they won
and it has since
been my prize possession
I still have it
it's still pressed
it's still
yeah I've had that now
oh god knows how long
and it is
but it was more
what that
what the present
represented
it was the first time
that I'd really
got a present
that I
not so much
wanted but more coveted because when we were kids we didn't have loads.
We weren't sort of poor, but we didn't have, we couldn't be frivolous money.
All of us, we've all had to work since we were kids.
I've got five older sisters and my mum was a single parent.
So everyone had to chip in.
So when Christmas time came, you didn't, it wasn't like you were getting 15 presents
from everyone in the house.
You got what we could manage.
And my sister, she just started, she just started,
working and she got me this present and it was just because I'd not said anything to anyone
about it because I knew that wasn't something that we could afford and the fact that she just got
me that oh I broke down I was I wore it for like the first two weeks that had taken it off
that show was disgusting for a long while um but that that show and everything yeah every now
and again like because I still have it it's always going to be hung in my wardrobe and
Have you got a picture of it?
Yeah.
I'll never get rid of it.
It's my favourite thing.
What about, what if your baby boy says?
Can I, are you, you know?
So that's happened, right?
Okay.
Red nose day.
Which is a day of charity.
Yes.
And then red nose day.
It's like, I can't work out if you're angry or?
Oh no, I am.
I am.
I need to see a picture of it.
Come on.
So it's this jersey that he's wearing right there.
That he's where...
Oh, that, literally that one.
Oh, not literally.
Oh, that's worth thousands.
But that's the era and they don't make this.
You can't buy that anymore.
They can't buy this anymore.
Okay.
So now my one's wool, it's going to be a collector's item.
They don't make it anymore.
All right.
So Red Nosed Day, they have to wear red to school.
They don't have to, but they're like, wear red, donate a pound.
And he, my boy had nothing red.
Never really noticed it.
We had nothing red.
And his mum's like, we need to get him something.
Like, he's got to wear something.
And she said, oh, why doesn't he wear your basketball shirt?
I was like, which one?
She goes, you Jordan won?
I was like, oh, okay, well, this is over, isn't it?
This is time to move out, I think, isn't it?
And?
I was like, absolutely not.
No.
So he wasn't allowed?
God, no.
Oh!
Do you know he's going to just take it one day?
He's going to try.
Oh yes.
Does he know that his dad was a bounce?
Yeah.
And he's nine now and he's already five foot.
So he's going to be a big dude.
He's five foot at nine.
Yeah, yeah.
Does he do the look?
Does he do the stare?
Does he do the silence?
He's too adorable to do it.
It doesn't work when you try.
When he tries to be angry, it is the cutest thing.
You look at their little faces.
Look, when he tries to be angry.
Oh, they're so beautiful.
You've got beautiful.
beautiful babies.
Yeah, it just doesn't, I find it funny when he tries to be angry.
And, like, you can't laugh.
He looks older than nine.
Yeah, yeah.
When I see him with some of his friends as well, he looks like he's babysitting.
He's so much taller than...
He's going to be taller than you.
Yeah.
Good luck.
Yeah.
Emmanuel, you're a joy.
Thank you so much.
Oh, thank you for having me.
