Starting point is 00:00:15 So every Friday we give everybody an extra nugget, a little show and tell, a moment of joyfulness, because this is, of course, reasons to be joyful. And your reason to be joyful, the thing that brings you joy is? It is. It's my engagement ring because, well, for the obvious reasons, but I designed it and it's surrounded by my grandmother's diamonds. And she passed away over a decade ago. and she was from Kansas City, and I was very close to her. Her name was Nana Beebe, and her nickname at school was Gigalpus. She was like a Lucille Ball kind of character. Oh, how wonderful.
Starting point is 00:00:53 And a very elegant woman, and she left me this pendant, which had diamonds in it. So I had them taken out and then fitted into this ring. And so I keep her with me wherever I go. And I just think she would have gotten such a kick out of this movie in this time of my life. And she would have really liked the man I chose. and just feeling her love, I remember I remember just shortly before she died. We walked around near where she lived and she was about to move into a home. She had Alzheimer's.
Starting point is 00:01:26 And she just put her head on my shoulder and she went, oh, I love you so much. I'd give you the moon if I could. And in the same sort of conversation, I also told her a dirty joke. I said, why are men like kitchen tiles? And she was like, tell me why? because if you lay them right, you can walk all over them. And she howled.
Starting point is 00:01:48 And I love that combination that she had of being such a lady and such a kind of goofball, Lucille Ball, but she also would love a dirty joke. And I just think that, you know, she encapsulates so much about, you know, how important my family are to me and how I carry them with me. Thank you.
