Starting point is 00:02:55 Yeah. We're getting high. Because we had to go all the way to Cali with this one. Yeah. You know, everybody keep bringing all that, uh, bringing all that, uh, oh, bringing all that. Yeah. That bullshit ass weed coming from all over the world. Now we got real California eight.

Starting point is 00:03:59 What's going on, brother? What's happening, man? You feel? They're going to know. Look, you got to know I finally got to meet my men court side at the game. He was so turked up. My blind ass, I couldn't even see.
Starting point is 00:04:12 I was just trying to do a look, but I see them. I said, yeah, yeah. I think. I remember that, too. No, now, now, you down here at Dreamville. Got out to Brian and them. You know, yeah. You're down here in Dreamville.
Starting point is 00:04:25 Yeah, I'm it. How I feel to be down here in Dreamville? Oh, man, you got to know, these really my brothers, though, like, you know what I'm saying, like me and Cole, you know, we, you know, all of us, you know what I'm saying, Cole, you know what I'm saying, you know what I'm saying, you know what I'm saying, you know what I'm saying? And then, uh, when he started his label, Dreamville, he, uh, he had, uh, I think Boss was one of his first artist, he had him, uh, come, uh, opened up for me on my first headline tour and then, uh, That's where I met Earth game. That's where I met Jed. And we just became, you know what I'm saying? Just a family unit, you know what I'm saying? Shout on my man, Kaj's, you know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:05:09 Yeah, yeah, come on. You know what I'm saying? Come on, now. It was all the dream. They got me figuring out who the hell out of that. Right, like, what's going? But no, man, we here, man. I had to press him, though.
Starting point is 00:05:25 Oh, I said. Because I had to press him. because it's my first one. Oh, you're like, I had to be on here. Yeah. And you got to know we closed. So I'm like, man, hey, what you said?
Starting point is 00:05:35 With your skirt? Oh, I think he opened a door for you. Did he say, come on, slide through? He said, oh, I'm going to call right now. Say, no, he made that call. That's right. No, that's my man. No, that's the OG.
Starting point is 00:05:48 Now, you're a TDE original. Yeah. Yeah. Explain about that, man, the original members, the original founding members. See this, see this logo? Y'all might have seen. You might know this one.
Starting point is 00:05:58 You know what I'm saying? Right. You see somebody with this on them? Right. That's the original. Dog on you, you know what I'm saying? Right. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:05 You feel me? So who are the original founding, founding, founders of the TDE? I mean, you know, y'all might know him as a white hip. It's a slat with my phone. Black hippie. J. Rock, the Foundation, man. K.D. Kendrick Lamar.
Starting point is 00:06:22 Y. You know him is that. Schoolboy Q. You know what I'm saying? And myself, you know what I'm saying? I'm saying. But, you know, we didn't go on to a crazier commodity, you know what I'm saying? I don't want to miss nobody.
Starting point is 00:06:33 Y'all know, Y'all know Salana, y'all know Sizra. You know Isaiah Rashide. Right. My man, Inglewood, Sir, Rayvon, Dochi. Right. I mean. Dochi. Come on.
Starting point is 00:06:42 Cicari. Isaiah go crazy. Oh, come on. And everybody working, you know what I'm saying? You know what I'm saying? You know what I'm saying? My man, my young man, Yack, Kimbe, X. Dev, Malik.
Starting point is 00:06:55 Man, we just got. we just got work yeah we just got work we got real art we're all about the art you feel I'm saying that's what it's all about
Starting point is 00:07:05 so speaking of art let's talk about your last album Soulburger because you were just talking about Dolchy you had blast on your album you had a lot of different artists on there so who was
Starting point is 00:07:17 your favorite artist to work with and what's your favorite song from the album that's a great question to be honest my I think my favorite song in that album
Starting point is 00:07:29 would probably be the intro actually nine mile I think I put it all on the flow okay you know what I'm saying there's a lot of layers
Starting point is 00:07:37 to that like I think it had a lot to do with it was heavily you know I wanted the album to come in and sound like belly
Starting point is 00:07:44 you know I'm saying because you know the album is based on you know my brother Doeberger that passed you know what I'm saying
Starting point is 00:07:51 long live the burger and um you know like It's the fusion of me and him in Soul Burger. So Soulberger is a whole other character. It's like, you know, he's like a superhero. It's like the fusion of me and him.
Starting point is 00:08:04 We like Huey and Riley, you feel me? So I just got to put it all in the flow. And Belly, one of our favorite movies, I wanted it to come in and sound like that. And then, like, you know, we incorporated the, you know, the eight mile, the M&M, I am. You know what I'm saying? I just got to put it all on the flow
Starting point is 00:08:20 and just it was liberating. It was therapeutic. And it set the tone, you know what I mean? But, you know, definitely, you know, all the artists that I had on there, I had Vince Staples on there, like you said, Dochi, you know, that's my girl. Blas, of course, Ty was on there. Yeah. Yeah, it was crazy. It's some of my best work, and, but more importantly, it was an old to my brother, though.
Starting point is 00:08:44 Yeah. Long live, Doeberger, you feel what I'm saying? You've been in the game for a minute, though, and longevity is something that not a lot of art. Long turn. Long turn. That's my friend, though. Yes, long term. I'm sorry. Long term. Yeah, no, no, you're good.
Starting point is 00:09:00 You got to correct me now. But having long term in the industry, it's like you don't see that often. And it's a blessing to have it. And not only do you have long term, you know, music, but you're part of a legendary label. So talk about that, how that feels to still be a part of something that is still growing. Y'all are still signing new artists and, you know, growing as a label and as a collective. You know, as much as I want to say, it's like, you know, it's a surrounding. real. Like, you know, like, I never saw. I ain't surprised. Yeah. And, you know, also, you know,
Starting point is 00:09:36 for those that don't know, like, you know, I grew up, I actually literally grew up in a family-owned record store. Okay. Magic disc music in Carson. You know, my, you know, my family started the VIP chain in LA with physical distribution. So I grew up in music retail. So I already, you know, came in with that patience, with that, with that, you know, with that, that, that, that, that, uh, mindset. So to be a part of such a, uh, you know, a dynamic, like, and, and, and, and T.E, you know, you got to understand we, we're not, we're not, we're not, we're not, we're not colleagues, you know what I'm saying? Like, we really, we, we really, we really, we really, we really used to, like, like, look, I got the booth tonight, bro. Right, right, right, you take the couch.
Starting point is 00:10:24 I'm sleeping in the boot because the booth got the door you know you could lock in you know what I'm saying like we really was in the trenches for it like me and my brother so
Starting point is 00:10:32 we really got it out the mud and like you know this is no surprise for me you know what I'm saying because you know everybody talented but not anybody skilled and hard work
Starting point is 00:10:43 gonna be talent any time so you know it's all of that and it's long term I got the most patience period got the most you know what I'm saying
Starting point is 00:10:51 now you you you amongs a selected group that first of all you don't need no features you don't need no nothing
Starting point is 00:10:59 because TD he got them all but that anybody that you want to work with that you ain't work with yet
Starting point is 00:11:05 man I just told so much man shit if I can get a verse of JZ man
Starting point is 00:11:09 oh just go ahead just go ahead pop me just go ahead just get me on up just get me out of here out of here
Starting point is 00:11:17 out of here he said that's all I need you know what I'm if I can get the verse of J man just just give me
Starting point is 00:11:23 on the body you know But, you know, we, I'm, you know, I'm saying, I'm still, I'm still young flying. You know what I'm saying? I'm A, B. I'm A, B. Fly. Come on, now. I'm A.B. Young Fly.
Starting point is 00:11:35 You feel? You feel me? I didn't use Fly So before. Oh, no. See how that came about? See how that came about? We can't make this up, man. It's a spiritual thing.
Starting point is 00:11:45 Church is on the move, man. You understand? So, I mean, you know, it's a lot, you know, it's a lot to be done. It's a lot to be done. There's a lot of artists that I'm looking forward to working with in the future for sure. But Jay, you know, Jay's top of the pyramid, Andre $3,000. Now you're talking. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:12:04 Now you're talking. I'm going to press Eminem. I'm going to press. Eminem got to give me one. Right. Yeah. I'm, yeah. I'm about to start pressing shit.
Starting point is 00:12:11 That's what I'm here. Is it getting stuff done? Yeah, I'm getting old now. I'm like old enough now. I'm like the big, I'm finally the big homie. I'm finally the big homie. You know what I'm saying? I'm unc.
Starting point is 00:12:20 Right. So I can hear. We'd be feeling like this. Yeah. But no, it's a blessing. It's a blessing. It's a blessing for them. Is that anything that you want, you know what I'm saying, the world to know about Ab's soul, man, that they might not have known about? This is what I do want to let y'all know. I want to let y'all know for show.
Starting point is 00:12:39 Me and my nigga Q, we put the backwoods on, and y'all can ask anybody, y'all can ask backwards about that. Yeah, we had the whole world smoking backwoods, put the goddamn swishers down. Talk your talk. Talk your talk. We ain't in a war. Yeah, get you some real leaf. You know what I'm saying? You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:12:57 You know what I'm saying? Smoke O.G. Cush. Yeah. We're in the backwood. Yeah. In the backwood? Ain't all that good.
Starting point is 00:13:04 Yeah. You know what you talk about? Yeah, I'm saying. Long-lived Mac Drake. Look, man, we really do this, man. You feel me? It's just, it's an honor and a privilege to be out here with your beautiful people, man. Thank you.
